Christine Sheddy Case: Clarence Jackson Arrested For ARSON- In Tennessee

Rogersville, TN– Clarence Butch “Jr” Jackson, believed to be a person of interest in the disappearance and murder of Christine Marie Sheddy has been arrested for aggravated burglary and arson in Hawkins County, TN.

At the former residence of a girlfriend of Jackson, 166 E. Madeline Lane, a witness identified Jackson as the man who broke into the home using a rock to break the glass of the door, and proceeded to light the shower curtain on fire.

While there was no one inside the home during the burglary, the tenant was in the process of removing her things due to an eviction.

Jr. Jackson and his girlfriend Tia Johnson were tenants in a farmhouse at 2911 Byrd Rd, Pocomoke City from September through November 2007 where multiple unexplained fires occurred, with no arrests to date.

As previously chronicled exclusievely at blinkoncrime.com, it is believed 26 year old Christine Sheddy, mother of three from Delaware, was murdered on that farm the evening of November 12, 2007.

The investigation into her disappearance is ongoing.

Please call Worcester County Bureau of Investigation if you have any information regarding the disappearance of Christine Sheddy (410) 352–3476.

You’re my kind of person. Love your way of putting things in plain English so all can understand. I do that to….and you must have atleast a Southern gene by your writing style..me too.

No worries..I am sure Blink is loving your post. Tricia has been outed before..as has Tom..both are bottom feeders and resurface when they need some new blood.

Christine and her family deserve the best we can give them..our undivided prayers and support.

Dearest Lynn, I don’t understand why anyone would lose sight of the victims in this horror. It’s seems some are acting as though Christine’s murder isn’t real, as though they’re acting out parts in a novel. They’re morally bankrupt, completely heartless. I can’t imagine possessing a psyche that needs to feed on such depravity. They’re in their own private misery, living their lives devoid of humanity.

Please know, dearest grieving mother, that there are many out here who support you and wish you comfort, peace and most importantly, truth. May it come very soon.

As Christine’s grandfather I am so grateful for all the help Blink and her friends have provided to this family! Likewise, I’m appalled by all the hate and distortions spewed on the public eye. It is obvious to me that you have hit a nerve and have uncovered more in 2 months than we knew about for 2 years. It amazes me that you can break as many laws as this crew did and not get arrested nor charged. Yet the leader of the band goes to a new state and screws up once again but this time is arrested, charged and held without bond! I really do not believe the laws are much different between the states, just the enforcement seems to change. I hope that JR. stays put in jail until LE can build a case against him here but I’m not holding my breath. For Blink, thanks from the bottom of my heart and please keep the momentum going even if you “P” people off along the way.

Well, that good Sir, is all we needed to hear. Btw, I have recently learned of your service to our country. Thank you for protecting us, and the sacrifices that come with it. God Bless.

As I wrote on the Tattler, let’s not give the few who have cruel intentions our time or energy anymore.

So Blink, when is plan B going into action?

GREAT IDEA. There is/has been a significant amount of activity on behalf of LE currently, I continue to support them and believe there is progress in this case. Seems like an odd thing to say almost 2 years later, but I truly believe JR’s arrest will advance this investigation quickly. It is my opinion there are those who fear what he will say while in custody.

We will know soon enough. My continued frustration is I get the impression there are some who still believe that CHristine may be alive somewhere, I find that maddening and a fat waste of time. I know her family and friends are recently on record to LE stating same. When every shred of evidence, including witness accounts, lead to her death, after all this time, it borders on irresponsible. It is almost like there are those that are woking to create a plausible scenario as to how she could be alive, versus working to investigate the crime, that concerns me. I would really love to see the activity of an investigation that starts with the concept that she was murdered, and work outward, which should have been the way it was handled from day one.

    “Those pics had been removed.”

No, I am literally asking because they had been removed. Let me put it this way, last year in early October, the registered sex offenders in Maryland got a postcard from the state. In essence it says, “Show that your progressing in recovery/rehabilitation or something like that, by turning off your light on trick or treat, and placing a pumpkin in front of your door. It was an effort to have Registered Sex Offenders (child or minors) voluntarily not- participate.

Now, if that is coming to them from the state, how would you like to be a parent at one of these things, if that is the case, and not be told? Admittedly it is parents repsonsibility to run SO checks in their area-

This is the lady one writer called Jr.s “dumb ass girlfriend”.
First off, I have read most of these blogs on here and am well aware of Everything. Jr. was the first to show me. With that said, I must say that, from the day I first met Jr. he has been an impressive man who exudes confidence, intelligence, generosity, honesty, wit, and kindness. A man who, admittedly, has a colored past, but showed me a man determined to be better, propelled by the love he has for his daughter..
As far as his history, I cannot incorporate that into the short months I got to know this man, because, unlike 99% of these comments posted here, I am nonjudgemental and I base my relationship with him on the time I spent with him.
I have several comments to make of my own and they may piss off a lot of you. Don’t care!! One major point, generally speaking, is Gossip is a SIN! Understand that those who read this crap will be misled and confused, unable to seperate facts from the Bull. Blood will be on Your hands, believe that!
Second, Innocent until Proven guilty. You only have circumstantial evidence and a lot of comments highlighting Jr.s past. This will NOT hold up in court. You questioned why he refuses to take a lie detector test. If I were in his shoes I would refuse, too! Your ‘holier-than-thou’ attitudes radiate throughout the entire website hotter than Hell’s Fires! Your smugness and pompousness is Sickening!
Lastly, just an F.Y.I. thing– I did graduate highschool WITH a diploma and have even a year of college under my belt; Never have I been addicted to drugs, (like the lady who made the “dumb-ass girlfriend” remark has; and I was reared in a strict, two-parent family who attended church every Sunday together.
Now a warning to all who have the misfortune of stumbling across this page- Beware of ALL the bull! Forbid yourself to get caught up in all this mess. If you cannot be completely unbiased and not pre-judge, go waste your time looking at Youtube skits and go the Hell on! And to all you I proudly shout a resounding Family First- F1Forever!!!!!!!!

    Hey Everyone,

There are a lot of really good people who have given of their lives and time to this organization and the off the cuff remarks are hurtful.

Please understand that this is a small town, and the Ladies Aux. are working very hard on this event as are the firemen, in getting ready for the opening of their new facility.

This being the case if there is or was a ‘Fox in the Firehouse’ I doubt very seriously if it would be common knowledge, and now the innocents are layed waste when considering the ramifications of what these implications may mean for them and their families and our community.
Therefore, in the interest of all who give of their time and lay down their lives for this community please keep in mind the reputations of the caring and innocent that are being loosely judged by your comments.

I live here, and know many of these people…I also have committed myself to helping Christine’s mom find her daughter.
Please keep in mind how hard it is for people to come to grips with any of the scenarios that are being mentioned and how hard it is for decent hard working and committed volunteers to read these comments.

Thank you for your thoughtful consideration.
    Stephanie

    Steph-

I completely respect and support your request , but I do not think anyone has been disparaging to any other members of the FD, in fact, I think the agression is indeed because THEY were put in this position by the individual or individuals that decided it was ok to break the bylaws of a publicly funded Volunteer Fire Department, and I share that sentiment.
Moreover, I know Mr. Hall’s case well, and even if I did not, myself and others on this site that have studied similar crimes to children are NOT going to give this guy a pass. One very important reason- HIS VICTIM (s).

How many wives and daughters of members of the VFD do we want to guess found about this and freaked? What about the VFF’rs themselves put in a position of being embarassed by one of their own they did not ask for?

It is my personal belief system, and that of most I know that have studied it, that there is no such thing as rehabilitation for pedophiles. He is a repeat offender, he does not use or spell the same way the name he was convicted under and that does not spell contrition to me. Even if I believed it were possible in this set of circumstances, which I do not.

What you said is very important, those affected do need to come to grips with the effect of what someone’s choices have resulted in. That said, you will not find a soul on here or in my reader base who blames a single member of the ladies auxillary or VFF’s themselves, that hysteria was started at the kool aid factory. Not here.

Coming to grips with it would indicate they are actually aware of the situation, and if so, and my child was going to be at an event, I PROMISE YOU, I would address this issue in person, and before hand.

I do agree to call the moretoreum on glib in this regard, but if this situation is causing an issue for the hard work of those committed to their noble Fire Department, then they need to go to the source. How many FEMA grants or other does anyone think they are going to get when the ATF themselves are moving to mandate background checks? That’s what I would be cheezed about if it were me.

Two issues- many unexplained fires at a property where a woman was murdered , no arrests. A registered sex offender, classified as VIOLENT, breaking the bylaws of the Volunteer FD and the possibility of that individual being around children.
Why do I not hear anyone’s solution to this problem? Why no “We are aware of the situation and here is our action plan?”

Isn’t that in a sense what you have been fighting in the political arena for so long? Lack of accountability?

I always like my friends that can disagree with grace best-

Very thoughtful response to Wymzie, Blink.

I am a long time lurker that lives in Pocomoke. I really do not understand how some in Pocomoke felt so threatened by the questioning about the FD website and the lack of some information there, unless the questioning hit too close.

Most of the FD volunteers are very good people that give generously of their time. But they are human and some have had hidden motives in the past.

    Example:
About 10 years ago a Pocomoke councilman ran for Mayor against a woman that was the director of a homeless shelter in Pocomoke. The councilman is a long time member of the FD. In the period before the election the fire marshall pulled a surprise inspection of the shelter at 11 o’clock at night. This surprise inspection was clearly a political effort to intimidate her.

And the kicker – the shelter was cited for not having a smoke detector. At the time the local FD was giving them away free. When the director asked for one of the free smoke detectors, they refused to give one to the shelter.

I have great respect for Wymzie and Bosshog. They are good, respectful people trying to support Christine and her family, and make a material difference in the quality of life for the good people of Pocomoke. I came across the incident your referring to as well, so I can confirm it. To allege we have done any more than raise legitimate concerns, that we implicated anyone in a general way is irresponsible and plain wrong. Didn’t happen.

Blink, ok with me if you don’t post this (though I don’t much cotton to coddling a sexually violent offender). Just some food
(note from Blink- nobody is coddling Hall, just sticking to facts. I am hardline on RSO’s no exception, see my response to Wynzie) for thought about why—in addition to violating the Pocomoke VFD’s own bylaws—it’s worrisome to hire this kind of felon.

Firstly, this relevant letter to the editor: Fire Department Policy Worries Veteran:
    (snip)
Editor, Times-Dispatch: I recently saw a newspaper advertisement for Richmond City firefighters. I’m concerned about the changes that have been made to the automatic disqualifiers. As a 40-year veteran of the fire department, I question whether convicted felons should be hired as firefighters or police officers.

I realize that people who have served time deserve a second chance. However, I do not think the fire department or police department is the place for that. My concern is that the responsibilities of these jobs require frequent entrance in homes — giving felons access to people’s money and possessions.

If the city does hire felons, then where will the line be drawn? Will we hire arsonists, drug dealers, and sex offenders? Additionally, why would the city fire someone who commits a felony when it is not a problem to hire one in the first place?
    http://www2.timesdispatch.com/rtd/news/opinion/letters/article/ED-SMITHC21_20090920-181005/294291/

Secondly, this article on sex offenders working as EMTs and the problems it causes:
    (snip)

(AP) They answer the call 24-7, often risking their own safety to rescue the sick and injured and rush them to the hospital. But some paramedics have been more predator than hero.

Over the past 18 months, at least 129 ambulance attendants across the U.S. have been accused of sex-related crimes on duty or off, an investigation by The Associated Press found. Some of them molested patients in the back of an ambulance.

“It’s a dream job for a sexual predator,” said Greg Kafoury, a Portland, Ore., lawyer who represents three women who were groped by a paramedic. “Everything is there: Women who are incapacitated, so they’re hugely distracted. Medical cover to put your hands in places where, in any other context, a predator would be immediately recognized as such.”
    MUCH MORE HERE http://www.nowpublic.com/world/future-sex-offenders-your-friendly-paramedic

Hoping it might help folks ‘get’ why this is an incident waiting to happen.

That was a very important and relevant post.

  27. suz says:

deeindvl makes a great point—if their insurance coverage in some way depends on them following their own bylaws in employment practices, they might find that their policy would be null and void should such an incident occur. Otherwise, it would make sense that their rates should be adjusted upwards via an additional endorsement (if there is coverage for such a thing).

I have a close friend that is a rural VFF. He’s totally blown away by them allowing a RSO on the roster. He also said they often are frustrated by responding to dangerous arson fires that do not get the proper attention of LE. It costs money either way – responding to these same arsonists over and over again by the VFC – or investigation by LE. It makes one wonder about the money trail. Rural VFC’s get federal and state funding and fundraisers make up the rest. LE is funded by taxes. Who has incentive to keep taxes lower and who has incentive to use last year’s budget to request federal money for the next year? Even self-insured VFC’s must have an underwriter for the potential huge lawsuit? I don’t know this for sure – just speculating.

Does all of this break down into – not wanting to spend any part of the budget on a missing person if they can help it? Because I cannot figure out why there would be incentive to protect someone who isn’t a home town boy or a relative of someone powerful. There are druggies in pretty much every small town in America – but LE doesn’t protect them. There is something here that I’m not getting?

  33. bosshogg says:

    Dear Precious & Family:

I am not trying to stir anything up here and kept my comments to a minimum.

We are strong supporters of the Pocomoke City Volunteer Fire Dept, they have been good neighbors, friends and protectors of the community.

Nobody at my house has ever questioned the integrity of the PCVFD as a whole nor their positive contributions to the community.

I was merely trying to clarify the insurance issue for some of the readers.

It’s a fact that the immediate past Mayor of Pocomoke City and several City Councilmen (past & present) are members.

We don’t see any conspiracy from the PCVFD that is related to this or any other case.

We know for a fact that all calls and responses are logged and there is a record of everyone who responded to every call, so its virtually impossible to make statements there is no record of calls or responses.

The City of Pocomoke is ruled by one man who was never elected and he has run the city for 34-years and counting, its a fact.

The City has a practice of being self insured and my statement was to help clarify the questions on how the insurance works in Pocomoke.

  34. puhleez says:

Unfortunately, LE in Worcester County (at least in the towns of Pocomoke and Berlin) DOES protect the druggies. Berlin has had an open air drug market like Pocomoke’s for many years, but since Berlin’s is across the highway in the predominately minority-populated area, no one really complains much. The former police chief, Skip Lyons, hung out with the dealers in the substation frequently (look up Prentice Lyons in Maryland Judiciary Case Search to see what a stellar guy he turned out to be).

It all goes back to money. The big shots in the drug game are mostly in the northern part of the county, but the southern end has plenty of the good ol’ boys in the game, too.

    It’s a sad, sad situation.

  35. deeindvl says:

Blink please post or pass on to Melissa

To Melissa: Thank you for your offer I may have to take you up on it. To give a brief update and clarify it is my grandson’s Mother and her boyfriend that are the abusers and they live in PCB. My son with my husband and myself helping are fighting for custody. We had another hearing yesterday 9/30/09, we were in court from 9:00-5:00 and still didn’t get finished so it was continued. On the plus side I presented the evidence of the abuse I had to our attorney and she was able to get the files from CFS in PCB on both my grandson and his brother (she already lost custody of Mason), sent up for the hearing. She was also able to get the files from DHR here on both boys, and the case worker had done a home study on my son’s house. She testified for my son! This is important because Mason was severly burned in a trailor fire when he was 5. She got out, her brother got out but they left Mason in there and the FIREMAN kicked a window in and went in and got him. The mom had also called my son’s former employer to testify against him but it backfired because he testified for my son! The mom was also under a court order to produce my grandson which she ignored and the Judge ordered her to produce him or go to jail. Her Mom had to go back to PCB and get my grandson. All of the testimony and evidence support our case, we were able show she kept moving and not providing an address, not only was she under a court order for that but it is Alabama law and she admitted on the stand she did it to keep us from knowing where Lil Mike lives. We are now waiting for the next court date, We should win, but if not we have the record protected and should be able to win on appeal. Oh yeah we had her Dad on recording stating Michael is the better parent and he told her if she stayed with her boyfriend he wouldn’t help her anymore and by golly he did not come to court with her. Guess it finaly dawned on him perjury is a crime punishable by jail time.

Any new updates on the case now that JR is camping out at the pokey in TN for the foreseeable future?

Nothing except that I have heard from a few locals that the damage was more like thousands, not $300, so I am wondering if charges will be added.

and his new girlfriend continues to defend his good name in the local newspapers blog…what is it about this guy? He must be one charming SOB for these women to even go near him.

I guess it’s kinda like those Peterson guys Scott in CA and then that cop who is suspected of killing; what 3 wives?

Where do these guys get their lines? And not a one of them is even that good looking! Good Grief!

AND she is out there without her family while he is locked up, makes zero sense to me.

deeindvl…how wonderful to hear that the court might be leaning in your son’s favor!!!!!!! Tell him I’m so proud he following this til the end. His children deserve a good loving parent and their Grandmom. What a sorry POS their bio egg donor is. Like I said, if I can help let me know. I haven’t checked here in a couple of days (normally here everyday) but I’m back. My Mom is like you and Christine’s Mom and I cherish every moment I have with her. If anything ever happens to his Dad and me I know my son is in wonderful, loving hands. I could never trust anyone but Grandma, she’s always been there. Continued luck and hang in there sounds like it may be over soon.

    Greetings Blink,

I just got off of Delaware warrants. It seems Levi has an outstanding waarant for theft. Victom is 62 years old. Dont know any other particulars.

I wonder if any other of the players will be getting arrested soon, seems none of them can stay out of trouble.

    Have a nice day.

    I4ni:

Thanks for the tip, we made it a front page post on the Tattler.

  45. i4ni says:

the person Levi robbed is a doctor with an office on Lakeview ave. in Milford, the same street Levi lives on. not to smart stealing from your neighbor. I wonder if he was stealing drugs?

Right, we only know it was valued over $1500, correct?

  46. i4ni says:

I think it was under $1500.00, but I am told since the warrant lists the victom as 62 y.o., it makes it a folony. Not sure, but it would be nice if he finally got some jail time.

It is getting cold around here can someone
please turn the heat back on next chapter
    please
Sorry Pak we are in wait and see mode at the moment, but I promise there is much going on behind the scenes.

  48. Pak says:

Le is not on board or 3 view would be
searching by now. Am I right or wrong?

I am not prepared to say that. There is ALOT of movement, I can’t always write about. That said, if they are “not on board”, which would surprise me, I expect we will get an explanation and adjust accordingly.

Leaving her there, or Christine’s family to deal with more of the same, is not an option.

  49. Pak says:

To be very honest it would not surprise me at all if they were not on board. This is sad, but this is what I have come to accept from them. There are too many examples to state why I feel this way. For one I know they just questioned some people 2 years after the fact for the first time. I wanted to spit when I heard the line of questioning- unbeliveable! Anyway, all I can do is just hope truth and justice will prevail some how.

I know, I know, and your right to feel that way. That said, you at least agree there is movement, albeit, very, very late, there are some meetings coming up in the next two weeks I expect to impact. If not, Plan B

  50. Pak says:

Once again we shall wait and see. Keep doing what you guys do. Any news on jr?

Nope, just that he is staying put in jail not sure when his prelim hearing is yet
