Casey/Caylee Anthony Case: Prosecutors Release Anthony Family Depositions
Orlando,
In a highly unusual move, on the eve of what is arguably one of the most anticipated motion hearings to date, we will get a glimpse of exactly what the Anthony’s will be testifying to in the murder trial.
George Interview Here
Lee Interview Here
Cindy Interview Part I Here
Cindy Interview Part II Here
Prosecutors were previously granted a motion to receive the grand jury testimony of George Anthony, as there were discrepencies between the testimony he gave in that proceeding, and his deposition.
Additionally, this Saturday October 17, CBS show 48 Hours Mystery is airing what appears to be the Anthony’s defending their daughter, and her defense team touting the latest “stranger danger” theory.
Blinkoncrime.com will be posting the transcripts as soon as they become available.

Hey K! I have read until 3am, and am still reading! No, I did not catch that was Marinade Dave singled out in this AM’s court proceedings. Way to go Marinade D! And, again, proof that things we all write on the internet can impact others! Dave’s first and subsequent video of the scene, is very telling in more ways than one. And, I am sure a lot more than us are appreciative of the time M-D takes to give us a realistic insight into the path’s this case has taken us via written words. To travel the path’s via his video’s is.. what is the old saying…..worth more than a thousand words.
I have found many things in the depo’s that have assured me that this prosecution team is on the ball with this case. And did anyone notice how they questioned about the duct tape used at the donation centers….before Kathi came out with the exclusive…RARE duct tape used to hang the posters at the donation centers? I am high fiving the defense as I read along with the great detective work….
Back to reading and high fiving and smiling at the thought of the bubble being burst the defense and Anthony’s thought they had flying high this weekend!
And, btw, somebody find a video with that cylinder container of balls for me……all I can say is the defense is smiling and smart….give the whole bunch of Anthony’s a wide berth to do what they do best…talk, talk, talk, and they hang……who?

Kathy Belich is my hero! Love this.
Actually I thought Judge S sort of laid it on Baez about his Team’s claims to have found evidence that Caylee was dumped after Casey had gone to jail. He didn’t let Baez weasel out of Macalousa’s clear statement to the court earlier. It is general policy I had thought to let the family of the deceased victim have the final say over death photos? I may be overly tolerant or naive, but I believe Judge S did just fine asking Conway what G and S preferred. The strictures on the use of the photo disc should make it clear which of the Defense team will be responsible when (if) the photos are sold to ??? Does anyone believe that some one of the A family will be able to resist the bucks that these photos would bring?
BANG!—aimed at westsidehudson.(not really) Somehow I think Casey may have been responsible for her folks’ ignorance of her graduation status. I don’t know how Casey would have managed it, but apparently she did. Casey also had all these stories going that were different to different friends, etc. I am sort of old and wiley now, but I couldn’t have accomplished that at Casey’s age. She had to keep them apart or her beautiful life would be down the tubes. I was surprised to see that George claimed that the one group of friends–Amy,Ricardo–had known Tony L and Jesse G. This seems to be part of the official storyline now for the A’s? Is there a grand unification conspiracy theory going now?
Small point, but has it been verified that anyone on earth calls Hidden Oaks Elementary School (which abbreviates its own name as Hidden Elementary) “HOLT”? To me, this has always had an urban legend ring to it. As I recall, the original story purported that the name of the school was Hidden Oaks Lake Trails (thus HOLT), but that’s not its name at all.
No time to read more, but caught the end of George’s depo to see what he was asked about the remains being that of his granddaughter.
He too, does not accept that those remains were of Caylee and he says he wants to see how they arrived at that result, like the DNA etc, and he has not had that shown to him. But the state can’t show it to him, not because it’s private, or secret, but because George has a lawyer, and he needs to ask his lawyer to see what is public record, the state lawyers can not go directly to George with it.
George must be spoon-fed. He is sitting in a corner, blinders on, veil over his head, industrial ear protection in place, and dark shades over and above all that. He can still speak, but for some unknown reason, his speech is limited so severely that he can not speak for himself, Lee and Cindy and Baez must do it for him.
(snark warning)
Suz!! Thanks for the colour version of the Caylee with ‘BIG’ shirt on– you know, this will go a ways towards deflecting ‘the stranger’ did it, unless the ‘nanny’ person was dumping old clothes with Caylee, as she might be quite a bit younger here, so clothes would not be ‘recently’ packed for a stranger to dump with the body. Could fit with the ‘stranger who babysat Caylee at the time that shirt fit her, and ‘who’ purchased the shirt for Caylee might play a roll– if a gift, maybe 2nd birthday as example.
Blink
Are you overwhelmed? Your site was tough to access today.
In general, always, WSH, however, we hit full tilt on occasion, that was today between SM and blink.
B
“Now, the defense has until February 1 to turn over the evidence they claim they have proving someone else put Caylee’s body in the woods near the Anthonys’ house.”
So what happens if the defense can’t produce this actual “evidence” by then? Then what happens to the case? What happens to the defense? And if they can’t produce something even relatively short of an episode from “Make Me Laugh”, will this completely blow it for the defense’s case altogether?
is there a way to see todays proceedings. I couldn’t find a link that would work for me.
139. Kleat
“Judge Strickland: “…whose courtroom is this?…. I’ve never seen so much handcream in all my life!… good grief!”
Was this literal or figurative? Am I taking this the wrong way?
And thanks for being back Blink! (I would place a heart emoticon here, if I knew how, but it likely would display as a doofus face symbol instead). Tomorrow is a WORK day, so I appreciate your sacrifice to let us post tonight.
Blink, the video focussed on Casey seems (without reading into things) at one point, to show Casey’s reaction to a statement by Ms. D-B, about ‘the family’, and Ms. Lyon carefully watches back and forth, but pays particular attention to Casey, as she turns away from looking directly as Ms. D-B, looks forward, swallows hard and perhaps ‘composes’ her thoughts, then she reaches for something on the desk, turns to Ms. Lyon’s ear, at which point, the camera turns away.
I don’t want to imagine anything here, but check and see if you agree– Silver’s note about Casey’s ‘anger’ showing almost to a rage in the jail visitation of Aug 14th, the level of ‘rage’ is not repeated here, but there is what I saw, as an intensifying of Casey’s eye expression– to piercing, at the mention of ‘family’ and NOT the family that Ms. D-B is concerned with– it’s ‘the child’.
Go to about 10 seconds before the 17 minute mark to catch where Baez says that afterall, his client is next of kin, followed by Judge Strickland’s statement– then watch Casey’s face, her eyes (enlarge the screen view if possible) through the point where the camera turns away from her.
Is this pure anger building here in a flash?
Astute Observation Kleat, as usual.
Yes.
B
Does anyone know how I can see todays hearing?
# 142 Mariann_Okay, lets vet this rationally…. if your child had A’s and B’s through out high school. (like Cindy said Casey had), wouldn’t it be a sudden surprise that due to one course your kid is not going to graduate? You don’t think that, in this case, parental negotiation would not result in successful graduation?
Your child had an extreme situation. My heart goes to you with the accident. I hope that your daughter has persevered.
Casey didn’t endure that.
Was your daughter an “A” student prior? I don’t mean to be hard, but the perspective from the Anthonys was that this kid was at ‘the top’, and suddenly the school betrayed her. I’m not saying your child wasn’t brilliant. Schools aren’t great at gaging intelligence. But if , like Casey , she had a GPA of A-B, why wouldn’t the Anthonys argue that she deserved to graduate? They are argumentative now. Why wouldn’t they haaave pursued it? I know that there are exceptions to rules, but how is it that the Anthonys are exceptions to EVERY rule?
This doesn’t make sense. Even if the school was unreasonable, wouldn’t the Anthonys have a great reason to sue the school if she was held back by half a credit or so? No offense, but something doesn’t add up. They didn’t give a shit, or they are lying.
re 145, Suz:
I have my own idea of what HOLT means..and could be completely wrong.
A “holt” actually means sort of a den, or a small wood…but even more, for the kids who grew up with the graphic novel “Elfquest” ( and because my kids and I love it, I hate to sully its name here), it has a special meaning as a refuge from the world.
Because Lee is into Star Wars stuff, I would be surprised if they did not know Elfquest as well…it is well known.
Ever since I first heard ‘holt”, I have felt sure that is what was meant..a meaning that only they, and not their parents, would know.
Thanks, Blink. Ms. Lyon is closely attentive to all of Casey’s reactions– this does not get by her, and she says a couple of (supportive perhaps) words.
Now, to George, Lee and Cindy’s sworn assertions that THE REMAINS are NOT Caylee.
Anthony family, were you listening from the gallery this morning in Judge Strickland’s courtroom? Cindy, do you have your listening ears on, Lee did you learn ANYTHING about objectivity in your ‘internship’? George, did you have your ‘hear no evil’ earplugs in or did you actually hear and pay attention?
Because Mr. Jose Baez, officer of the court and lawyer of ‘the client’ who is also your daughter, mother of your granddaughter Caylee Marie Anthony, SAID about the ‘remains’ whose photographs were being discussed in the instant:
“my client IS next of kin”— with an emphatic ‘IS’ (did you hear that, Anthony family? Your daughter’s own lawyer, speaking on her behalf, has conceded that this baby IS not some stranger’s own little ‘baby Doe’.
(and we are NOT going to do a Clinton logic on ‘is’– what was meant was the photographs WERE of Caylee Marie Anthony, the baby who it seems, ONLY the state cares to care about in this matter.)
cindee, wftv has a version that has good volume. But it seems no one has the first motion– cameras came in a bit late for some reason. WESH’s version has a lower volume, harder to listen if you are not at the computer.
wsh, not a snark in view on that one!!! Literal– absitively literal– go have a listen, it’s within the first minute on the wftv raw video of the hearing– just listen closely as the judge is not speaking up, but replay it you hit the laughter and you will hear it.
My quote was verbatim– at least that was my intent– yep!!
Blink,
Can anyone answer for me a question about George.
I am on page 97 of his statments. I have not yet to read
that he will use the name of CAYLEE. It is alway that
child. Could this mean anything, like he is blocking
her out?
Mountaintime, interesting observations– only Casey, and whoever knew the meaning, will know for sure.
But there were two versions of the same answer to the question by Casey, in those jailhouse videos, one, which (I think must have been with the parents– or was in a jail phonecall) said ‘close to home’. The second one, after everyone was reporting ‘she’s close to HOME’, got missed by many at first, assuming ‘home’, but this was with Lee, as Casey repeated the same basic thing, but she still thought ‘she’s close to HOLT’.
HOLT, (Hidden Oaks EL-emenTary) is just across the street and down a few hundred yards and the only destination down that street, except for swamp land and maybe an empty lot or two.
Kleat, I’m glad you highlighted this.
“Ms. Drane-Burdick’s RESPONSE! Good for Ms. DB!!! Thank you for taking this position– as close as Caylee has in the courtroom to a GLA!!! “NO, actually my position is NOT to protect the family its to protect the CHILD…”
She just makes me proud to be a woman. Her and Kathi Belich.
:decloaking:
Greetings! LONG time listener, first time caller. Bouncing back and forth between the depositions and here, I have a couple comments to share that, so far, has not come up. I live in Pittsburgh, PA and am familiar with the Warren and Niles, Ohio areas. I once dated a crazy woman (ignoring dad’s warning about natural redheads) from Warren and had an Army buddy from Niles, who I visited often enough. Usually on the way to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Anyhow, George said the populations, when he was a buckeye, was 45,000 for Niles and Warren had 110,000 souls!!!! Now, granted that we are in the middle of the rust belt and suffered some population decline since the late 1970s but it still seemed like ludicrous figures. I wondered if there was some sort of ‘Omega Man’ type disaster. So guess what? Niles, OH had 20,932 souls in 2000 and Warren had 46,832 for the same national census. OK, buckeye neighbors, help me out here. I think George is wildly exaggerating so his police experience does not seem so uhhh bucolic. Or maybe KC and Lee get their lying genes from both sides. I know its barely topic and a weak post to decloak for but it illustrates, at least to me, that this family could not be truthful about anything. Thanks for being here, both posters and Blink.
139, Sal, I am also intrigued by whatever had Baez clamoring “Cindy, no, no, no”. I did find the exhibit – it’s # 22 and it shows 2 pieces of paper. LDB had asked Cindy if she kept an inventory of things she had given to Baez. Cindy said ‘no’ and then LDB enters the photo of the 2 pages as exhibit 22. Cindy says the one on the left is Casey’s handwriting and she’s never seen the one on the right before. Baez asks to speak privately with Lyon and when they all come back on the record, LDB says that there was an objection raised as to the exhibit and she will not ask anymore questions about it until the objection is resolved. Cindy, being Cindy, wants to continue discussion of the forbidden paper and Baez has to finally tell her to zip it.
The discussion takes place in the Part 2 of Cindy’s depo, pp. 494-500. The exhibits follow and the 2 pages are shown in exhibit 22. What is astounding to me is that these items (in Casey’s writing) list UMBILICAL CORD. She gave the umbilical cord to Baez??? The item list is dated Sept. 8, 9 2008. The 2nd page is too blurry and lightly written for my old eyes to read. Can’t wait for those young whippersnappers on here to let me know what that one says.
Cindy’a depo was the only one I managed to read today and now I need to go have a gin and tonic. Nite, all.
rotfl. You deserve Bombay
B
West- I doubt highly that Casey was an A-B student. I think that Cindy was lying.
WSH and Kleat, thanks for asking about Judge Strickland’s “…whose courtroom is this?…. I’ve never seen so much handcream in all my life!… good grief!”
Was he talking about the ego “stroking” or WHAT??? My mind went immediately into the gutter!!! Is it just me?
Cindee, today’s hearings are posted on YouTube.
Every time George says, “As a matter of fact …” before a sentence watch out! If I could actually hear him, I’m sure my hinky meter would be setting off alarms all over the place, but it just seems everytime he says “as a matter of fact” before a sentence, he might as well be telling the interviewer, “Okay, I’m going to lie/fudge now … ready?”
I haven’t even dared touch Spindy princess’s interview yet … I actually think I might be too scared to venture into those waters. If George’s is already this outrageous, I don’t even want to think about what emotions Spindy’s might evoke in me. God help us all if people like this can completely evade any future charges for obstruction, lying to LE, perjury, etc. Oy vey!
Bees…. my mind didn’t… I guess it would depend where you come in on that one! Notice the protruding hand cream bottle on his desk, complete with pump dispenser. I suspect he started to have to move jars of Nivea, tubes of Olay, and packets of Jergens out of his road so he could deposit motions on his bench. Maybe he was intentionally lightening the mood, what we didn’t see in the raw video, might have been a rough start to the morning, with a bit of sand blasting across the sides of the room. (implied that on one article before video was up).
Interesting, mountaintime. I’ve heard that rather arcane meaning of holt but didn’t know it came from anything from pop culture. I’ve seen comments (from civilians, nothing official) saying that Casey loved to read, but I dunno. I am probably too harsh in thinking Lee and Casey are too dopey to use that word in their private lingo, so who knows— you could be on to something.

“Ok this is her ’story’ – I was researching chlorophyl because my yorkies used to eat bamboo leaves and she heard there was chlorophyl in bamboo leaves, and her yorkies were getting sick and she had lost 2 cocker spaniels to cancer before, and, and, and . . .”
Cindy is just STUPID, STUPID, STUPID to actually tell LE something like this if it fact she’s lying and didn’t really do this, because everything you search for on your computer is stored away in files on your computer. Even if you delete them, they can be recovered and it would have the exact text on the searches, so if she performed a search on chlorophyl because of her dogs, (yeah right .. who really believes that one?), that would be evident when LE had the Anthony’s computer for that time.
Also … don’t we already KNOW Cindy’s lying (standard protocol now with that family) because IIRC, LE docs show Cindy was actually at work when those searches for chloroform, etc were done hence it doesn’t matter what Cindy’s purposes are for saying she performed them, if she was at work, then LE KNOWS she’s lying and I believe that she was.
Thank you Kleat and Bee Knees. I had a very hard time this morning with wftv.
Question….defense has until Feb 1st to produce evidence that someone else did it…Todd said they have the evidence didn’t he? Why can’t they run back to their office and just produce this evidence? I thought it curious when Baez was referring to equsearch and having to go through everything. My take on that is that they DO NOT have a thing to back up that wild claim.
Kleat, with all due respect, who abbreviates “elementary” LT?
“I’m going down to Hidden Oaks El Tee.” Elementary. LMNT. LT.
Eh. Not seeing it. Don’t know why, but this theory always makes my Snopes meter go off.
I heard 2 samples, one sounded like it, the other did not. I have been all over the Hidden Oaks site, no acronym to that effect anywhere. I do find it very interesting though.
B
I reckon if they don’t have any evidence to produce by Feb 1, they’ll just be scolded and told not to make anymore such wild claims in the media? And of course the prosecution will use it against them during the trial. Can anything else happen to them as a result of not producing the evidence?
Read Lee first. Just finished G.
Some rather chilling questions asked in G’s deposition.
Also G’s deposition has given more insight, particularly into Lee, IMO.
Remembering how Lee was so opposed to giving his DNA samples and having his fingerprints taken – - ha, you better believe “he knows what he’s done”. And so does the prosecution.
JMO, but the photo of Caylee in the pink t-shirt has more to it than meets the eye, as it has been cropped. One really needs to see the entire photo to see the bigger picture – - methinks both sides have.
What is it you think Lee has done?
B
#181 cindyfromwisconsin, and on top of that, another thing I’d like to know, given the timeframe until Feb 1st, would it be even remotely possible for the defense and Baez to “doctor” some false evidence
#142 Mariann, sorry, just speaking from my experience which was in schools where reporting to parents was vitally important–CYA– in the case of grades and especially anything which might effect graduation or college scholarship and entrance requirements.
When parents didn’t respond to the routine efforts at reporting with meetings or on telephone calls, registered letters were sent. Not kidding. Journals and other documents were kept of efforts to contact parents.
Yet, school districts do differ, and they tend to respond in kind to the interest and participation of the parental community. You, obviously, had a different experience at your daughter’s school and the whole thing sounds so unfair and arbitrary. I am probably out in left field on this. Or just from a different time. We’ll see if anything about Casey’s school records at Colonial is admitted as evidence into the trial.
I remain firm in the case of Miz Anthony, though. The Anthony’s are not reliable witnesses to anything concerning their daughter. And Princess Perky, herself, is dodgy and devious. Understatement. Her hobby was pulling steel wool over the eyes of her gullible parents.
Cindy and George were having such problems of every kind that I am sure Casey could have forgone high school altogether without a ripple until a show of Beauty’s accomplishments were about to I’ll stop beating this horse, now!
#182 Ooops. My rant was terminated by my elbow!
lol, I would have worried if it was your foot- I have those days on occasion.
B
Okay, more rant. Is Cindy now, in her depo, saying that she learned Casey wasn’t graduating on THE DAY OF GRADUATION? HUH?
If only the whole bunch didn’t think they were masterminds. Pathhetic. Keep your dern stories straight! They really are an embarrassment to proper criminals.
Hi you all!
Well lets see in the last two days, I have read 1st part of Cindys interview and just finished Lees whole interview….
all I can say at this time is HUH? and WTF? and OH really?
I am going to read what you all have written about and I sure hope it is more than I have to say… lol
Blink #138
Are you referring to Annie Downing’s statements to LE about Casey not being smart enough to have pulled Caylee’s death off alone? Please expand …
It was interesting to watch that little hearing from this morn, though—things being subjective, as they are—I don’t know that I see a flash of rage building on Casey’s face at 17 mins so much as I see a nervous wreck who is on the verge of hyperventilating.
On an unrelated note, if people start sending Strickland hand cream and he starts displaying it like Ito and his hourglasses, I will flip.
Cindee, they have ‘high hopes, hi hopes…hi-apple-pie-in-the sky——- hopes!’
I have a theory on the very strange behaviour not of just Cindy, but Lee, and George too, taking the ‘I believe in hope’ that Caylee is alive hope. Obviously, this can do nothing but discredit all three for trial, but by the time trial rolls around, the idea that Caylee is still alive will have faded away.
For now, why do they do it? It’s not reasonable hope, it implies mental problems for all three equally– what are the chances of that. What it could be, is the perpetuation of the ‘bizarre’ behaviours in this case. Could not write it better with team of science fiction writers, true crime and love writers, or ‘off the wall’ writer’s guild.
Baez and the Anthony’s need big money to support this defense team at all of it’s levels– to keep the money rolling in, in their terms right now, means ‘ratings’. If public interest fades, so does the interest in having the Anthony’s on shows (and now Cindy is not playing the idiot ranting gram anymore).
Baez and his entourage including the golden goose family, need to keep up the act, the hype. What better than to cause more head shaking, disbelief, rediculous ‘bizarre’ actions, such as the notion of Caylee not being dead afterall.
With the trial a year away, there is time for more circus antics and downright ‘freakshow’ strange behaviours of the week to keep up the public interest and help the defense and the Anthony’s keep money coming in. The more ‘freak’, the more money– to a point.
A show of bizarre behaviours or is it ‘Show Biz-R’ circus side shows…
I absolutely believe this is fodder or cud for the cash cow.
B
Casey being an A-B student and doing reallly well– she probably did get decent grades, but bet she got bored.
This is just speculation, but the parents apparently had proof of how well Casey was doing semester after semester from junior year when she lost a half credit, right up to two days before actual graduation. That sounds crazy, but the Anthony’s said they saw all of the papers Casey brought home, they attended all parent-teacher nights.
When I read that Casey was the conduit, the messanger of all good things about her from the school, my suspicions kicked in. Could the perfect, personable, good student, have found a way to ‘play’ the system, get through on HER terms. Could Casey have been dabbling in a bit of forgery and deception for the thrill of getting away with it. That sounds like a lot more fun for someone like Casey, who might be bored easily– bored with regular writing, so she creates her own cryptic writing, she learns to forge cheques and deposit slips, learns she can get away with it all, parents don’t cross her nor join forces to stop her behaviour and demand responsibility.
Why should she want to work to get that last 1/2 credit. (and really– going to a California photography school that George said he heard was quite good??!! If Casey was eyeing Brooks Institute, she wouldn’t have made the grades or the tuition to get in or stay in– the notion is a bit rediculous unless she decided to do it the ‘honest’ way and work HARD.
Hi again!
Okay I will continue reading but I want to know if anyone has the link to the photo of Caylee Angel mentioned above in the Lees interview as I read all of it and did not see the pic for some reason it was cropped?
Thanks so much.
Gavilla
yes
mild heartattack I’m ok now thanks lol the anthony’s are killin me lol givin
Me high blood
and thanks for askin
chica
I just read that Cindy said it couldn’t of been caylee because caylee had 18 teeth and not twenty said she knew because she. Washed them for her
Casey looked pissed towards the end her face expressions!!
Cindy is really not sure if she is dead because the autopsy says 18 teeth and she knew Caylee had 20 teeth because she brushed them everyday. With this insane statement, I will say again, the whole clan need to be put in very tight straight jackets. Good Night all, I can’t take anymore of their insanity this evening. On a bright note, I feel very sane tonight
sorry I had to go back and check the right amount she said caylee had hmmm
Joy Wray told Media that she gave a statement to the defense about being in that EXACT area where remains were found in November and before TES but she was hoping the defense WAS NOT going to use her as “the proof” Caylees’s remains were not there. HUH???????? I need help with this one.
No you dont. She is nuts. The defense and Dom Casey wants nothing to do with her and have said so publicly. She is another “glommer”.
B
I’m glad I have to work today. I was too caught up.
Good to step back.
# 175_Bees Knees_ I took it the same way, shame on me, I guess.
Happens friend, take a break.
B
#162 Kleat–Good morning to you and all. I too was searching out the very appropriate comment made by Ms. D-B and was watching Casey’s reaction the whole time. I sat glued for those few second!!! My eyes widened and muscles stiffened because I could see she swallowed a golf ball, her breathing changed and that “killer look” glazed over on her face! What a moment. That one sentence by our wonderful Ms. D-B was as if Caylee kicked her egg donor in the gut and laughed. I enjoyed it so much. My fav moment so far…Casey’s absolute misery!!!!! I really thought if someone could morph into and evil creature we were watching it then. Oh, I forgot I already consider her evil. This is my opinion folks. By the way, did it look to anyone else like she may have turned to glare at her parents after LK-B said her ‘comforting’ words to Casey when that remark was made the SA?
