Casey/Caylee Anthony Case: Prosecutors Release Anthony Family Depositions

Orlando, FL– In the latest bombshell in the case against Casey Anthony, late this afternoon prosecutors released the depositions of Anthony family members George, Cindy and Lee.

AnthonysCourt51909

In a highly unusual move, on the eve of what is arguably one of the most anticipated motion hearings to date, we will get a glimpse of exactly what the Anthony’s will be testifying to in the murder trial.

 George Interview Here

Lee Interview Here

Cindy Interview Part I Here

Cindy Interview Part II Here

Prosecutors were previously granted a motion to receive the grand jury testimony of George Anthony, as there were discrepencies between the testimony he gave in that proceeding, and his deposition.

Additionally, this Saturday October 17, CBS show 48 Hours Mystery is airing what appears to be the Anthony’s defending their daughter, and her defense team touting the latest “stranger danger” theory.

Blinkoncrime.com will be posting the transcripts as soon as they become available.

    Steadychick, and Blink,

In the last post I see from steadychick, she mentions that she thinks LE must have a link between the A’s house and the laundry bag that Caylee was found in, and not just because Cindy mentioned it in her depo by the state.

Just my own opinion/thoughts….but wouldn’t it seem plausible that if the Anthony’s were close to bankruptcy, and/or they took out a 2nd mortgage on their home….or that they had some type of insurance, or extra insurance of some sort added at some point in time, then there are pictures because of that. LE may have either found copies of those pictures, or maybe someone in LE thought to call either the mortgage company or the insurance company and obtain the copies of the pictures.

Btw, the pictures I’m referring to, if in fact that didn’t come thru clear to everyone. I’m not positive of the laws in Florida, but could say with almost complete certainty, that just about any other state requires pictures of the inside and outside of the home, along with measurements, and sometimes even copies of the last time you had your home exterminated….all, or most of these things are required before you’re able to take out a 2nd mortgage on the home, and/or acquire insurance, or sometimes even an insurance upgrade. So, as I said, it’s just my assumption that LE realized this and either came across those pictures, and/or someone had a light bulb moment at some time, leading them to request a most recent copy of those pictures. I’m guessing that included in those pictures is the picture of the laundry bag. I especially thought that while reading George’s depo and they asked him several times about what was in a bag on the shelf in the garage. Not just asked him several questions, but asked them in several different ways, leading me to believe that they do indeed have proof that something that was there prior to all of this is now missing.

Let’s just say though on the off chance that LE or the state hasn’t thought to request those pictures….hopefully they will stumble across this post and get them pronto. Pfffft, as if I’ve thought of something Yuri Melich hasn’t already thought of, lol. Anyway, my point to this rambling post…. I wouldn’t necessarily say that this is the one and only, or even the biggest of the smoking guns that the state is holding, however, I do think it’s quite possible it’s in their arsenal.

Would like to hear anyone/Blink’s thoughts on this…TIA

OK, let’s see if the third time is the charm — having difficulty posting tonight.

I couldn’t understand why no one was discussing the fact that Cindy identified the type laundry bag that Caylee was found in as being like one she had bought. Wondering if this might have something to do with the 100 missing pages of part 2?????? Here is the link. The questioning begins about page 519, and the duct tape is discussed just before this. http://www.wftv.com/pdf/21310288/detail.html

It is on the Part 2 link on the piece, but reposting, as it is the strongest part.

Blink — regarding post 327 by columbiares — I too have tried several time this evening to post a link to what I believe is the corrected version of part 2 of Cindy’s deposition, which includes the 100 pages that were originally missing when it was first posted. Your system won’t allow me to do this.

I couldn’t understand why there was no discussion going on about Cindy having identified the round laundry bag picture as being like the one she had purchased but was now missing, as this seemed pretty major to me. I think it may have to do with that missing 100 pages. Maybe most people have not read the version that includes these pages and the info Cindy gives about the laundry bags and the duct tape??? It’s a WFTV link and the laundry bag questioning begins about page 519. The duct tape discussion is right before this.

    anyone?

  5. Steadychick says:

Wendy — Mr. Steady is in real estate and confirms that pictures were probably taken for a second mortgage. I wonder if LE has checked this out.

Does anyone know when their second mortgage was obtained? Also, there were so many pictures taken in that household, and LE took several cameras, disposable cameras — not to mention videos and pictures on cellphones, computers, and those that had been uploaded and were retrievable. That laundry bag may have been spotted in pictures from one of those sources.

I had a couple of more thoughts about the CBS show last night.

I did not like Mr. Brad Conway’s dismissing of Zenaida Gonzalez’s plight with “She didn’t get hurt. Nothing happened to her. She was cleared immediately.”(Not by Cindy and Casey, however.) How cold and unfeeling that sounded. ZG was so upset in her statement on the show that her voice became hoarse with choked up tears. “Why would a person do this? What have I ever done to her [Casey]?”. I think one could believe her tears as well as those that fell from Cindy’s eyes.

Also, at the end of the show, George and Cindy reiterated that they were still looking for Zenaida. “We still believe she is out there somewhere.” Rodriquez asked, “What do you want to happen?” And George said, “We still have hopes that she will come forward.”

Huh? Come forward to say what? “Well here I am folks, at last! Yeah, I got a little testy with Casey and so I kidnapped and killed her kid and threw her out a block from your house.” Who is coaching George and Cindy? Nothing they say makes a lick of sense.

  8. MsEnscene says:

    # 368 cindee from Wisc. I wish I could help you out with the document or interview where I read about Casey’s adventures at Sports Authority. I have got to think it came from one of George’s earliest interviews. I can’t swear to it, though. Just remember being agog at the story. Geo. tells about the $4400 and the fake deposit in his depo, but he leaves out the part about the robbery this time. Sorry I can’t be more help. Someone else out there must have all the details of this incident cross-referenced.

#390 Melissa. George doesn’t like Casey well enough to take the fall for her, imo. Add to it, George is pretty much out for George. I don’t see him as the self-sacrificing type. I think it’s pretty obvious that Casey made his life miserable and was his chief competitor for the attention and dole at Hopespring. Don’t believe in the draaama at Daytona, either. With Caylee’s death, he gets to play important again. He’s got a place in the sun with the foundation. (Sheesh, I sound jaded.)

Hi,I have been a long time lurker but have never posted here or any where else on the web so please overlook all the errors i am sure to make. First, i want to say thank you Blink for having this site and for all of your great analysis. Thanks to everyone who posts here I really enjoy reading everyone’s insights. I am posting now because I think i finally have something worthwhile to contribute. And I need help disproving myself because I can’t stand to think it is true. I enlarged the color photo of Caylee in the Big Trouble shirt. Blink, I believe this is not an old photo of Caylee, she looks chubbier because she is lying down which can make anyone look chubbier also I think this is why her hand is so close to the forefront. I believe she is reaching up not just toward the camera she is wrapped up in the pooh blanket she was found with (you can see a pooh on the upper part of the blanket next to her face) . In the upper left corner you can see the round circle for the spare tire cover and you can see the black/dark carpet of the trunk. I think she is in the trunk of the sunfire! I believe this is why the photo has been cropped so strangely I think this is the smoking gun. Please take a look at this Blink I think this is why no one in the family recognizes this photo when asked in the depos not just because of the infamous shirt. Thanks again for looking I want to be wrong I feel totally sick to my stomach right now.-Momof3

  12. JWG says:

#329: There were two sets of DNA found on the tape. One set was definitively matched to an FBI examiner. The second set was actually a fragment and could not be used for matching purposes – it could only be used for exclusionary purposes. The fragment did not match any of the Anthony’s, so they were all excluded. That same fragment could be used to exclude all but one FBI examiner who handled the tape. So while we will never know if the DNA came from that examiner, she cannot be excluded as the source.

That is correct, negating the stranger theory.

IIRC, in George’s 1st interview with Greta way back in 2008, when we 1st heard about the now infamous Food Channel watching fiasco, I remember him starting out his description with “I was watching the new …” as he started to say the news, then stopped himself and nervously changed it to his favorite show on the food channel after Cindy kind of nudged him with her hand on the couch. I always thought that was odd. I mean, what’s the big secret in what show you were watching on TV, unless of course you weren’t really watching a show at all and it helps the police with the real timeline, hence a reason to fudge your story.

He started to say the news. But news isn’t even on around 12:50 in Orlando when he originally stated he saw Caylee and Casey leaving that morning of the 16th, is it? Hence maybe why he changed it after-the-fact?

In looking online, I was able to find this about the Food Network’s Drive-ins, Diners and Dives show for June 2008. It would’ve been in Season Three and the episode as listed would’ve been I believe Episode 10, called “Comfort Food”. But here’s the kicker … the date isn’t the 16th, it’s the 15th … Father’s Day. I’m assuming since this is a national network that the dates wouldn’t change regardless of city you’re in, yes? I could be wrong on that as I know sometimes there are re-runs. If someone else could help with that, maybe we could actually figure out if George was yet telling another lie. Here is the link to the Episodes for June 2008:

Blink — I had been dismissing your “O” theory about the duct tape, but now I am not so sure — you may be right. I want to believe the computer tech guy’s story that he saw Caylee on the 16th, but it bothers me that some of the facts he used were public knowledge before he told his story. The stories about the pool, the pool ladder, etc may very well be pointing to cause of death. And when you add Casey backing her car into the privacy of the garage and the ready access there (now confirmed by George’s and Cindy’s depositions) to the rare duct tape and the round laundry bag, it turns into a large mountain of circumstantial evidence that cannot be dismissed. I cannot understand how her attorneys could even begin to seriously risk taking this case to trial — but then again, maybe Casey truly is driving this thing and is forcing the trial. I just don’t get it, specially if it is true that there is even more evidence against her than we have yet seen.

Everything recovered points to the home. Let me also add that Cindy specifically stated in her depo that when Caylee hand tantrums, she would put her in the tub until she calmed down.

I have to agree with you. I also feel this photo is taken while she is in the car. She also has some hair barrets in her hair. Looks like the one found at the crime scene. It is cropped for a reason and I think the reason is obvious. She did have her bangs cut at sometime prior to her death, as I recall Cindy asking Casey where she took her to have her hair cut. It is obvious to me and I also think I see car parts in the photo. Like a window frame or something, maybe is the trunk area. JMO.

From the first time I saw the cropped b/w in the depositions, I feared this was the final photo of Caylee taken just prior her death, as she looked to be the same age as in the nursing home video. The “entire” uncropped photo would support “where” it was taken. I asked for input to help find me wrong.

suz then provided a link for the colour version of the cropped pic.

Like in the nursing home video, Caylee’s hair appears to be in a pony tail – - you can see the gathered part of the hair just above her bangs, and the direction of her hair is in an upwards sweep – - her hair is not loose, as there is no volume at the sides of her little face. This would account for the “fringe hairs” as per the FBI report.

Like you, I also saw the little images on the Pooh blanket.

In C’s deposition, she is quick to point out that she doesn’t know “where” the photo was taken. I don’t recall LDB asking her that.

L reacts stammering like he’s caught off guard, offering the word “cropped” right off the bat and denying every seeing a picture of “Caylee” like “that”. I don’t recall LDB mentioning the word cropped either.

They KNOW damn well about that photo of little Caylee.

Momof3, grateful thanks that you decided to post your findings.

What is the deal about communicating with Casey while in jail?

George is asked if he’s received any communication by Casey, either through Baez or directly and whether he’s communicated with her through Baez or directly (apparently, he has sent correspondence through regular mail to the jail).

Then Lee is asked over and over about how often, if at all, has he communicated with Casey through letters, through Baez, directly or indirectly (apparently, two words have not been exchanged, verbally or on paper, since his one and only jail visit).

I’m not sure where the state is going with the line of questioning. Is it because Cindy said in an interview that although they haven’t seen or spoken to Casey since her murder charge, they’ve received letters from her? Not according to George and Lee, but Cindy’s never asked the question, as far as I can see.

Are they trying to find out if Baez was sneaking stuff to/from the family? I’m confused about why the state cares if they’ve corresponded since Casey’s been jailed. Any insight anyone?

I can’t make out the wheel cover you are commenting on.

I saw on the right what I thought was the front of a parked car off in the distance, at night time.

Could you assist further? Thank you.

  29. Charlotte says:

Okay, I have just finished reading Lee Anthony’s depo and I MUST ask. Does anyone else get the feeling that DB’s line of questioning gave you the impression that Lee Anthony blew up that picture of Caylee so that he could go into the woods and look for that exact shirt, and that he found the body where Casey put it and moved it into a location that Cindy THOUGHT DC already checked (staged video to prove it) so that they could say that body was moved there while Casey was in jail? Maybe this is really far-fetched, but that is what my immediate thoughts were when I read his depo. Anyone else’s thoughts??????

  30. wpgmouse says:

Taken at night time. Did she do a final “look up at the stars” with her daughter? JC. the Bella Vita tattoo.

That “parked car” I referred to is to the far right of the photo, just past the blanket. Sits between the nose and mouth area.

  31. Steadychick says:

momof3 — I couldn’t find this thread or picture. Can you provide a link?

While searching for the picture, I noted that there is a lot of discussion about whether or not Caylee was wearing any clothes and that maybe the clothes were dumped along with the body. This could go along with the FBI theory that the “Big Trouble” shirt was included as a message. Then you have the shorts which were more intact than the shirt, so could have been added later. And the fact that she was found with no shoes. Yep Blink, you may be right — maybe it was the bathtub. Which makes me feel absolutely ill, because Caylee was old enough that she probably did not die because of an accidental drowning in the tub. I believe she would have had to be held under the water. Certainly wouldn’t be the first child who died at the hands of her mother in this manner.

I do believe she was wearing the shirt potentially, based on thread and fiber residuals and their placement on her remains.
She most definately was not wearing the shorts, imo.

I missed the 48 Hours program last night, but did anyone catch the part that the Ants have turned their home into a ‘shrine’ for Caylee, to the point that they keep her death certificate out in the open? I am almost sure that has to be wrong because when the body was found and identified Cindy stated it wasn’t Caylee? Well, I have to put some more bruise medication on my lower jaw that fell open once again. *Note to self: See lawyer per lawsuit physical harm due to Anthony’s craziness!*

  34. ChicagoJudy says:

I think Cindy is such an experienced liar, she knows that she has to stare you down in order for you to believe her. I know that during LE training, they tell you to look at the person’s eyes to tell if they’re lying. They will usually look down and to the right (if I’m not mistken). Cindy has the stare down pat; it’s like she’s just daring anyone to contradict what she has said. It’s scary actually!

  35. wpgmouse says:

Cindy said something about she would never put a t-shirt that said something like that on Caylee (not going back to find exact wording). Maybe her daughter did, or bought it, and Cindy admonished her for that, critical of her “mothering”.

The Anthonys apparently left their daughter’s murder hearing on Friday morning and headed for Port Canaveral to take a cruise to the Bahamas.

Only Eyewitness News was there as George and Cindy Anthony got off the Royal Caribbean cruise ship Monday morning (watch video | see images). Their homecoming was less than two days after their $20,000 appearance on a CBS network show.

The Anthonys were not happy to see a camera. They told the photographer that they needed a vacation from the media, but on Saturday night they appeared on a one-hour network show for which Cindy admitted they were paid $20,000.

George had told prosecutors under oath it was just a few thousand. He called it “nothing,” just enough to help them get by because they can’t find work.

The Anthonys left Friday evening on the Monarch of the Seas for a three-night cruise. They stopped at Royal Caribbean’s own tropical island and then made a stop in Nassau before returning to Port Canaveral on Monday morning.

“We had a nice vacation, will you please leave us alone now?” Cindy told the cameraperson (watch video | see images).

Meanwhile, George never said a word.

“The vacation was from you guys,” Cindy said. “Shut your camera off.”

But the Anthonys had no problem sitting with the CBS network cameras for hours for an hour-long show that aired Saturday night. The Anthonys were paid $20,000 and Cindy says they gave $3,000 of it to their lawyer, Brad Conway, for negotiating the deal.

Second ‘major’ wave was with the last media blitz a couple weeks ago, with the major doc dump– Brad and his premptive presser, Mr. T Macs, Ms. K-B, Mr. Baez himself, all doing several New York major studio visits for the early shows.

Now, Joy Wray seemed to have been ‘set up’ with her new identifying hair colour, new violet toned make up (or was that the reflection off her shiny blouse) to ‘ENTER’ the court and press scene. Mr. Baez was not willing to make his ‘proof witness of the body not there’ public, not willing to give the information to the state (although it was already to them, ‘proof’ as per Todd Mac’s courtroom arguments), and the Judge says they can have more time for disclosure to the State.

Joy Wray is noticable in the courtroom– MY QUESTION is– how did she get there? Who assisted her, prompted her, or otherwise helped with the arrangments for her to show up in court, all ‘spiffied’ (term loosely– she was a bit too Halloween for ‘spiff’ IMHO) and seated where cameras would view her, not off too far to the left, right in camera line behind the prosecution as she spoke.

Those in the public/ jury pool who have not been following the case closely, may not connect the dots to JW at the vigils, JW with her big sign for the Jesus team about Caylee being alive. And if they do come across photos of JW, they will see a ‘blonde woman’, not a dark haired woman with added red/purple highlights.

This was set for her to walk out of the courtroom, and do what Baez was not willing to reveal (for good reason) in court or give to the state (he’d get laughed out of the business when this ‘we have proof’ crumbles), BUT, there is a use for this JW as she can do just what she did yesterday, following the defense’s statements for need of more time before telling what they know about proof of Caylee’s body not being there until after Oct 14 when Casey was incarcerated.

To the ‘novice of this case’ public/jury pool, all that was needed, was ‘proof’ that there is an Equusearcher who, to their mind, comes out to prove no body there. It’s a spin that won’t play out to trial, but it’s a spin that will help level the playing field.

UNLESS– some good interviewer (real press person, investigative journalist with a boss that allows the work and the publication) digs into this now and exposes, not JW only, but exposes how she got into that courtroom, how she planned to get herself duded up, how press was tipped to talk to her. Not just what ‘she’ did, but who was ‘behind’ her. Definitely could be the joint defense team.

    Topic shift.

Then we have the matched outfits of Ms. Anthony and Ms. Lyon. Now, I would think that Ms. Lyon (and this is not to her personally at all) has a time getting good stylish or even well designed/cut business clothing. (Watched Shark Tank the other night– which btw, is a spin-off of the Canadian ‘Dragon’s Den’ complete with half the sharks– it clearly is an issue for women in business)

My guess is that Ms. Lyon is learning and appreciating much more of ‘who’ her client is, than her parents ever did. Ms. Lyon (speculating here) may have asked her seamstess (yes, I’ll bet money on that) to sew something for Casey for a blouse, with a belt replacing the waist chains, and with more length. Most importantly, it was to be the same ‘team’ colours for the moment.

Does anyone feel a hint of similarity to Tracy and Casey playing their dressing same games, at least with ‘watches’ etc?
