Haleigh Cummings Case: Ron, Misty and Hank Busted For Drug Trafficking
BREAKING NEWS
Putnam County, FL- Late wednesday evening Ron Cummings, father of missing Palatka child Haleigh Cummings, her stepmother, Uncle and two others were arrested on drug trafficking charges.
Misty Croslin Cummings, Ron Cummings , Hank Croslin, Hope Sykes and Donna Broch were all the subject of a month long drug sting.
All 5 were arrested on 6 counts of prescription drug trafficking and have been booked into St. John’s county jail, where Misty Cummings will appear this morning to hear the charges against her.
Misty Cummings was the last person to see Haleigh Cummings alive, and has been unccoperative in the investigative efforts to find her since failing a recent polygraph test.

Boy, did this guy have most people fooled. Nancy Grace must have fallen off her chair…..Maybe now some answers will emerge as to what happened to Haleigh. Sad reality is, I think they all know what happened to her……….What a total bunch of scumbag trailer trash. Lord only knows what they might have done to her. One way or other, someone NOW might just open their mouth to save their skank souls……People never cease to amaze me. Wha wha wha all over tv where is my daughter….I bet the farm he knew all along what was going on…….I’d like to smack him into a wall and that little skank Misty! Why is it Blink that kids are the ones who always pay for their so called parents mistakes? SO SO sad. The entire family nothing but a bunch of drug runners, child abusers,LIARS and some I hesitate on……SO SO SAD!

Yep. Implicating Ron in his daughter’s murder, which btw, I do not believe he knows what happened to her, or where she is. Unless Hank knows where she is. If he does, he will talk first.

why stay in ‘business’ with someone under these circumstances? missing child, road rage, drugs etc.
maybe rounding them all up and making them face long jail sentences unless someone spills the beans is the strategy for LE

An “abduction”??? Seriously???? Meaning they really don’t believe Misty had anything to do with it??? Did I miss something?!
FINALLY, HELLO—-CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES. I hope they can get little Bubba out of the household. Dont know why that hasnt happened before. I dont have proof but I have always thought that the whole family was in the know on this and where Haleigh was and what happened and that they were all a bunch of druggies, especially Ron and Misty. Maybe they will have some answers now. If not just let them rot in jail.
Can anyone say OJ simpson? Karma will always find a way to come back around and smack you in the face. Hopefully this will make Misty talk, but then again they will have to negotiate some kind of deal to do that. I would rather see Misty sit in prison for 25 years knowing that she didn’t get away with what she did to that precious little girl. Hopefully the judge will sentence them to the max and they will pay for the crime either way.
Ron may not be ‘directly’ to blame in the disappearance of his daughter HOWEVER when drugs are involved, danger is always lurking. C’MON! How often do we need to preach the obvious?
Haleigh was not protected by the people she trusted the most. Angry doesn’t begin to describe how I feel. How is this going to help find Haleigh. No doubt, it’s everyone man/woman for themselves.
i beleive this is what LE was planning on for some time. I also think that Misty will be the first to break. i have felt all along that there was a drug angle in the disappearance of little Haliegh. hopefully this arrest will bring to a conclusion this very sad case.
Long time reader of your articles on this site, first time posting. I have always wondered when more would come from this case. I frequently think about that poor child, and wonder when more will come out about the case. Hopefully the truth will finally come out and Haleigh will be found and her abductor, captor, or killer is brought to justice. It is just sick that these people could parade around for as long as they did while Haleigh has been and is still missing. I agree with the other posts. They are trailer trash and pathetic, and should not be allowed to have precious children anywhere near them. I pray for Haleigh, the other child in the home, as well as Morgan Harrington and the many other missing persons who were torn from their lives.

Misty knows what happended to that precious little girl. I hope this will finally make her crack. Ron, on the other hand, has his issues but I belive he really loved his daughter and doesn’t know that happened to her.

The WFTV article says, this person was the same one that was previously pulled over with Misty Croslin during a road rage report. If it is the same person and they spell her name different on each article, who knows???

back when misty’s purse was snatched while she was trying to buy drugs in that parking lot with her friend(same friend?),she had just returned from new york where she taped the today show,i thought: wonder how much money she had in that purse? she musta gotten paid to do the today show,wonder if she had all of it the purse,now seeing that she has the most counts,highest bail,seems she was the main ,now i am wondering if the interview money funded her startup business.
Drug trafficking??? These people are as dumb as a box of rocks. They have a missing (likely murdered) child. How could they not know they’d be under LE surveillance? Good grief. I am very disappointed especially in Ron Cummings. Although I doubt he was involved in Haleigh’s disappearance, I suspect he knows what happened to her. That poor little girl. Both of her biological parents are unfit, as well as, her extended family, stepmother, step-uncle, even her grandparents. What a shame our child protective services can’t protect these children at risk. Drugs are a scourge on society that we absolutely must deal with. Lock all these people up and throw away the keys!

Well, I hope this escalates the resolution to poor Haleigh.
I DO NOT BELIEVE RON HAD ANYTHING TO DIRECTLY DO WITH WHAT HAPPENED TO HALEIGH. I DO BELIEVE HE TRULY LOVED HIS DAUGHTER. Just because someone is involved in things they shouldn’t be, doesn’t mean that they don’t live their children. That’s why people who commit crimes against children don’t fare well in prison/jail.
I have always wondered if someone took Haleigh to get back at Ron, knowing that she was probably the best was to “get to him”.
And, Misty knows what happened to Haleigh, that is for sure.
Poor Haleigh. I always wondered what happened to her. Tallgurl, I agree with you that her “parents” didn’t deserve her, but please stop throwing around the words trailer trash. Haleigh herself lived in a trailer and I have a soft spot for trailer park kids. They get looked down on and it’s not fair.
Hmmnn, go figure, drug trafficking and I’ll bet human trafficking comes into this somewhere in the periphery. After reading about the investigation by Putnam County, I doubt LE has to look too far….

Like lots of you, not surprised about this breaking news. I can’t even imagine being Misty’s age and having been married, divorced, caught up in a missing child case, arrested for drug trafficking, etc. The girl is not even an adult and she has lived pretty much an entire life ~ a desperate life at that.
Not that I feel sorry for her, because I do believe she knows what happened to Haleigh, but WOW.
It’s all so unbelievable to me.

He has been in contact with police regarding his missing daughter. How stupid to think he could sell drugs while the police are still investigating his daughter’s disappearance. I think Ron Cummings knew (and knows) a lot more than he’s ever said. Who’s watching Junior while daddy and step-mommy are out buying and selling drugs? I think he’s been doing this for quite some time. Not a good way to live if you want people to think that you truly do care about your kids.
$950,000. bond for Misty. $500,00. for Ron. Sounds like that is way above and beyond the “norm” for selling drugs. Or is it?

Something a little offbeat but I’d like a smoker’s(cigs) perspective on this. We all saw Misty and Ron smoking one after the other, right? Now that most jails, and I’m assuming the one they are in, are smoke free, what will it be like for them to not be able to smoke?
In my opinion the label trailer trash does not apply just because you live in a trailer. Just like other derogatory labels out there, it is a label that suits these people because of their lifestyle and I am in no way implying otherwise. I understand if you do not like the label, but there are other words that have been used to describe these people that are less kind than trailer trash. Also, I feel that you can be trailer trash even if you don’t live in a trailer!!!
The St Johns sheriff’s office seems to think Donna’s name is spelled with a K, not an H. In the letter of termination frok EquuSearch her name was spelled Brock, also.

Ron has totally ruined his life…Regardless of this outcome for these two, Haleigh may very well be deceased…I don’t agree that the bio grandma is in this class of stupid, she appears so genuine and after all these babies being found dead, I need to believe that there are hearts with love out there for these children, especially after seeing and watching the A’s forget about the crime committed against Caylee, pretty sad when one has to search for love in the victims faces!

Theresa Neves said that she expects an emergency custody hearing today in regards to Ron’s son, Jr, now living with his great grandma Sykes.

The first theory I heard about Haleigh Cummings was she was taken to pay off a drug debt.
This is just my opinion but I think they are all involved with the disappearance of Haleigh. I dont think Ron is inocent in the least. And very negligent when it came to his childrens’ care. I dont know why everyone seems to give Ron a pass. From the time I heard their contrived 911 call “after the fact”. I think he is on the same level as the rest of the bunch. Remind me never to live in Satsuma although I am sure the same goes on in my small rural Texas town.

My heart aches for precious Haleigh. That baby most likely suffered a horrible fate because her POS father wanted to hook up with an easy, skanky teenager. That isn’t to say that I believe Ron was directly involved in the disappearance of his child. However, if he had put her before his own wants and needs, she wouldn’t have come into contact with Misty Croslin.

Martha, I agree. Wasn’t it said that Misty was out on a drug bender the weekend before this happened? Who would leave two small children alone with someone like that? I think her bio mother is no better for leaving her kids with someone like what she accuses Ron of being anyway. She said on the Nancy Grace show that she would go back to him but she couldn’t take the way he was which is understandable but to leave your children there????? Sorry but I can’t imagine doing that for any reason.
Donna was Misty’s BFF that spent some days in Orlando with her and then accompanied her to NYC when she was on on of the early morning shows. Tim Miller put up the money for the vacation IIRC hoping that Misty might give Donna some “inside info” about Haleigh. They were both involved in the road rage incident.
