A few yrs ago while living in MA, I took a walk in the late morning. It was a beautiful day and I was walking on the main rt thru town. No businesses on this end of the route. A few old, residential homes but I knew that no one was home as my business partner at the time, lived in one of them. As I was walking along, praying (as I usually try to do when walking), an SUV came up behind me. I was walking towards on coming traffic, he came up behind me on the opposite side of the street. He was driving very slowly. I immediately felt scared. I thought that he was either going to ask me something or was looking to turn around somewhere. He pulled into a dead end street. I thought that was it, but I was still scared. All of a sudden, as I approached this street he pulled up and I had the feeling that as I passed in front of him that he was going to pull me into the vehicle. I started running as fast as I could. I thought that he was going to go back where he came from, when he started following me again. He was jerking off. I got the license plate number, something I learned along time ago (another story for another time). He then asked me which way to go to get to 495. I said straight ahead. When he got to the intersection. He turned left. I ran up the hill to the right to the police station. Before I got to the Police Station, a cruiser came down the hill. I flagged him down and gave him the info. I then went to the station later that day to make a statement and make a composite. The composite turned out to look exactly like the guy. The cops got a little serious then. Turns out this guy had rented this vehicle. The cops called the dealership and found out that this guy had rented some 15 vehicles in a couple of months time. Every time he rented a vehicle that vehicle was used in a rape, attempted murder. He had a record, was out on the street and was suspected of raping some 13 women in and around my town. Nothing was ever in the newspaper and no one ever knew about it that I knew. Also, my story was never publicized. I live everyday as if some pervert is out there – because they are.

I tell my daughter stuff to keep her safe everyday and I get the eye rolling or “you are so depressing”. I need to know how to tell her these things to empower her and to be ready and have a plan should, God forbid, something happens. How do I get her to take this stuff seriously? TIA Thanks everybody for your posts everyday. I love all of them even if I don’t agree with some. It still makes me think. Some things I can disregard and some I strongly agree with. Thanks Blink for all that you do. I’m so glad that I have this blog to read and post to. I used to think that I thought too much about them. I’m glad to see that other people feel as strongly as I do for shiny Morgan and her family. There are times I read Mr and Mrs Harringtons writings and I just want to hug them.

Hummingbird, I’m praying for Julia’s family. Her poor mother to witness that. God be with them.

Fish, you are in my prayers, so sorry for your loss. Your words always inspire me. It is very hard to lose someone that you love. I know. Maybe that’s why I feel so strongly for the Harringtons and other families. They shouldn’t have to go thru this. How dare some SOB think that he can take away a beautiful, intelligent, young girl from her family. Pray for the Harringtons and for LE to make an arrest soon.

The case eventually became known as the Route 29 Stalker.
    ….
Tips came in and police looked at several suspects, but then the case went cold.

“Suddenly, it all stopped. There’s a whole bunch of theories as to why that happened: Could the individual have been incarcerated for another crime? Could he have died?” police spokesperson Corrine Geller says.

Geller says they’re hoping Facebook’s wide reach will give them the one tip they need.

I am beaming at the VSP.

I think I remember reading that several of Alicia Showalter Reynold’s belongings including her coat were found scattered in different places prior to the discovery of her body. I know that Morgan’s purse was found but has it been verified that her t-shirt (an possibly other items) were found scattered around Grady Ave? What purpose could a BG possibly have for doing this?

  5. 7inDC says:

    New Poster,

Family Watchdog has the home and work address, and lists “Unknown” as the name of the employer, and not for the address. The information is over a year old. VSP has the most up-to-date information on their RSOs.

But I did notice that Family Watchdog has a differnet photo of Mr. Cheese Jumpsuit. And the photo they have of him is simply eerie. Those eyes…so empty, so terrifying. There is absolutely nothing inside. Enter Sandman.

  6. Observer says:

TO: John and keekee: I completely respect your understandable reticence to trust me based upon those two little words: trust me. [Keekee, I generally have the very same reaction as you when someone says that to me: I automatically begin to emotionally recoil a bit and the hairs begin to rise on the back of my neck. My antennae goes up as I think this person may be one that, instead of trusting, I should be very, very wary of.]

I also understand a person’s reluctance to remove anyone from a list of potential suspects unless and until officially–and publicly– cleared by LE. The only thing I might offer here is that LE is not going to announce publicly each time another individual has been cleared.

In any event, I absolutely respect your hesitation to take me at my word. Healthy skepticism, especially in an active criminal investigation, is always that: healthy.

The FCC has tried to prevent the sale of GPS jammers, which are illegal under the Communications Act of 1934. But schematics for a do-it-yourself GPS jamming device can be easily found online and built for less than $150. And they can be bought online through various Web sites.

For less than $2,000, says Glassey, someone could acquire the gear necessary to spoof the location of GPS bracelets issued to sex offenders or other parolees. The potential risks are obvious.

  8. mosaic says:

All this talk about GPS tracking devices on RSOs has me rethinking the possibility of Bad Guy purposely removing the battery from Morgan’s cellphone. I’ll admit I have always believed that her battery fell out of the phone.

I never believed someone would act with such an evil intent by removing the battery within moments of picking her up. The phone going dead at 9:30 always seemed like an odd yet innocent coincidence.

But now I need to rethink that.

We might have a guy who is very much aware of being monitored and what to do to avoid detection. This kind of mind would think ahead about this little detail—removing the battery—and the need to do it immediately. I mean, who else would think about this kind of stuff? Someone who is very aware of how people can be tracked and monitored.

I can’t wait to hear what you all have to think after looking at those photos posted above. What an absolutely beautiful piece of the world. It has caused me to rotate my cheese to the unseen gate and path from Red Hill. ( photo 43 or so) Did Sky have a photo of this? I can’t recall. The old farm house is much prettier than I thought from the historical article photo. This path looks much more traveled and with more coverage from the street. And when you look down that drive, and veer to the left, is the white/snowy passage the field leading down to where she was found? If so, seems much more direct. Hard to say, what say you?

  11. Josie says:

Pepper and sandyeggo, I’m so sorry to hear that Chelsea King’s body has been found. What a waste of young promising lives. I feel your outrage Pepper. Every day nearly, we hear of another missing female or child. And then we read of their bodies being found, cast off somewhere like a piece of garbage. Yet, the courts continue to release these predators back in to the public to commit more evil acts on the human race. Something has got to change.

I miss a lot of our posters too. Like Enquirer, WPGmouse, Minniepenney and several others. I would love to hear from all again.

We have several new great posters and I welcome them. I like reading new theories, new ideas. I read all the posts and I am amazed.

PM1, I loved your cheerleading post and I would love to be on your squad. I’d also like to be in the all girl’s heavy metal band with Diogenes and juliemooly. I wonder if I could do both?

Here’s a big hug back to you Ragdoll. Love your posts.
I always look forward to hearing from Moonchime, Judi and Redhill. I’m thirding the vote for Blink for comment of the day! We have a great group here and I love being a part of it.

To E in South Africa, drat my forgetfulness! I meant, several days ago, to say Welcome and Thank You. You broke the ice here in a personal and memorable way, and you’ve lent us your perspective— which seems a lot more closely attuned to the nature and specifics of this case than I’d have thought possible for someone so far away and from another culture. In part, maybe that’s the power of the Internet. BOC seems to draw contributors from all around the world; perhaps a pinch of each of us makes the ideas we dish up more universally approachable; we can hope so!

You mention (3/1 @ 6:06 AM) Dr. Harrington’s “friending” of WT, who on the other hand keeps popping up here as a possible POI. Of course, WT was quick to launch (and to moderate) a website after Morgan went missing; her parents may well have been grateful. In a like manner, the Harringtons very early gave a seeming blanket vote of confidence to Morgan’s friends—“her friends are not the bad guy”– while we outsiders were already stumbling over seemingly evident contradictions or disconnects between their accounts of events surrounding the Metallica concert and Morgan’s disappearance. Such “friendings” may be completely straightforward opinions of endorsement or “thank yous,” well-mannered recognitions for people who had done something for Morgan or had mattered to her. However, yes it was Gil H. who early stated an intent to “keep friends close, and enemies closer.” So maybe we should hold back our conclusions; unless you see cards being laid down, poker may be in progress.

This McN guy you describe sounds like a total bowl of granola, but I can’t access what he writes, don’t know anything more of him than you’ve told. Does anyone?

  13. Lovely says:

    #3 jim m –
That makes a lot of sense.
I know that we have heard in the past that Morgan had a bit of a “reputation”. I wonder if she got completley trashed at this concert (as we have heard) and WILLINGLY left with these guys. They were leaving and told her about the party, she ditched out on Metallica and went with them. I had a friend who would have done EXACTLY that. The next day it would be the big drama story between the rest of us “ohmygod, i was so drunk last night…dude, i still cant believe that morgan left with those guys and didnt even SEE metallica when she had been planning this for 6 months. she gets so drunk!!” etc etc. or something similar. This is also why Morgan kisses her friend goodbye on the cheek and says she will find a ride home. She’s wasted, its loud, everyone is drunk, and no one else is going to leave right then. So they say peace out. They definitley did not tell the truth in the beginning, but we also havent been privvy to much fact since approx. 4 – 7 days after the case when everyone stopped talking. Its completely possible they have told LE the truth now.

Remember, the basketball players have never publicly made a statement, so the only reason we know that they saw her supposedly alone is because that is what we have read in the media (I am not sure if LE confirmed this – if so, this could be a tactic). They have probably had their eye on these guys since the beginning, but it wasnt until they found her body that they are trying to tie them to her and the farm.

Further, if after she is seen by the newspaper woman, I wonder then if the Sheetz sighting is accurate. I know that person is on this board – what time was the Sheetz sighting? I thought it was around 8 or 9am. This would conflict with Blink’s statement that Morgan was in the field by daybreak – but what if this was the correct timeline? Supposedly this girl was alone in the car with 3 very cracked out looking guys. If the roads are wooded and isolated, its possible that something could have happened on the side of the road in broad daylight with no one ever seeing, correct? What if this is the correct timeline, and she was not on the field by daybreak, but rather by 10am?

    Any thoughts?

Miss you guys…havent had much to contribute, so have just been lurking. xx

Blink — from your lips to God’s ear, please please please let this be close — I know many here are having gut feelings that indicate the same thing —

Tomorrow, the 3rd, if the 5th-year anniversary of the terrible fire at my house — I would love to change that date to the celebration of the day Morgan’s killers were arrested —

Bevolovr — feel better — I hope your distress is a prelude to Morgan’s killers’ arrests …

Acho — please hug your girl extra tight for me. My brother had juvenile diabetes, which unfortunately was passed to my nephew, and caused his death at age 32 after his kidney transplant failed. It is a horrible disease. My nephew died one month after his 19th b-day. So thank her so very much for me. Tell her she will not walk alone, I will think of her all day : )

J2K — thank you, dear dear girl, for your kind words. Do you know I fell asleep right before the show started, and I woke up at 2 AM and I was like, durn, missed the show !! Can you imagine standing on your balcony or just walking down the street, and here comes this semi w/ a huge sperm whale on the trailer and all of a sudden the thing explodes and whale guts, etc. goes everywhere ? I am a lover of all things whale and feel it must be poetic justice — but I bet it was something to see.

I must admit I think of your BF sometimes and wonder how the poor dude keeps up — I see him retreating into his music a lot (or at least keeping notes on his I-phone : )

Blink, I know you’re busy, but please give J my email — I’d love for you to write that book — the concept is incredible — the characters are all strong women and I would love to see how you interweave them in the storyline —

And this is really more OT — but please, everyone, I know animals are not in the same group as people, but …

    MY DOG IS GONE —

I am beside myself w/ worry. She is spayed, and she has a boyfriend — Hound Dog — and they were playing in the yard this AM around 10:30 and then I got really busy w/ work — and she didn’t come home at noon when I was calling her — and still at 5 when I got off from work — i called the boy and made him come home so we could drive and look for her — I had my very kind postlady looking for her when she made her rounds — no dog.

It is pouring snow here and cold — she has never once in her life spent the night outside — the possum is all cozy on the front porch — but no dog — and we have driven everywhere and can’t find her : (

Sorry for the OT, Blink —

Again, soon, please, absolute Justice for Morgan !!! (and my doggie come home — she’s just a baby)

    Peace to all —

    Sky

b: of most of the blondes that were on the LOG videos…you can find them at the Metallica “Goodbyes”. I’m having a hard to time finding one. If these BG were here for this concert and left after LOG because they were only there to see them…maybe we should ask LOG to throw in some cash? I find that it’s really just plain stupid that they would think “hey, we will pay top dollar and only see LOG”. But maybe they were hired-hand local roadies. How do they think LOG got such a national and world stage to jump off of?
    It’s because of the headliners…Metallica!

If LOG wants to continue their “World Domination”, then I guess their time is past due. But, I will say better late than never!

Also, upon further research, one can see that EMH, is not as dirt poor as everyone thinks. Clear up this crime and well, their land alone would cash it in. The house well, not so much.

Also, Crime against Morgan, specifically or a crime of opportunity? She got outside because of something and I do not for one minute believe that she was ejected.

UVA Women’s Center article about Morgan and safety

    ——————————————————————————–
    http://womenscenter.virginia.edu/sdv…Harrington.php

    Morgan Harrington

All of us at the U.Va. Women’s Center wish to express how moved we are by the courage of Morgan Harrington’s family, and the compassion with which our Charlottesville community responded to their call for support and help during Morgan’s disappearance. Some of us participated in the search, or were involved in the campaign for her recovery; we all hoped for a positive resolution. Our deep condolences go out to Morgan’s family and close friends at this difficult time. We hope that the joy that she brought you in her brief life will eventually bring relief to your heart. In her memory, we will recommit ourselves to our goal of working toward a world free of violence and oppression. We join others in working to shape a world in which women and children and men all can live lives full of possibility, joy, and fulfillment.

We are acutely aware of how Morgan’s disappearance and lonely death have left a pall of fear and helplessness over our community. In particular, women in Morgan’s age group, who see themselves in one way or another reflected in her life, feel unbalanced and worried that the University of Virginia is no longer the safe haven that it had been.

But U.Va. and Charlottesville have never been as safe as many believed. The fact that the person or persons who murdered Morgan may live among us only underscores that we cannot know the darkness that exists in the hearts of others, even our neighbors.

This does not mean that we should become suspicious of everyone around us, but it does point to the fact that trust must be earned, even by our peers. We were born with an instinct for survival, and it is vital that we pay attention to what our inner voice tells us: that it is definitely okay to be impolite if it means attending to our own safety, even if that means feeling embarrassed or inconveniencing someone or walking away from someone we like. Women, know that you have tremendous strength and resilience, and that you are capable of defending yourselves when threatened.

Ultimately, reinforcing safety means taking care of one another. Watch out for your friends and keep their safety at the forefront, especially if they are incapable of making sound decisions. We live in a culture that promotes individuality, but in truth we are part of a community. Harm against one person results in harm against all. Violence damages the threads that bind a community together: trust, compassion, respect, and responsibility to one another.

It would be nice to be able to offer a list of simple safety strategies and claim, “follow these and you will be safe.” But this would only promote a lie. Women have been resisting violence for centuries, and yet violence against us persists. Resistance is critical. Taking care of your friends is crucial. Protecting yourself by listening to that inner voice is deeply important. But even these practices do not always change the conditions that promote violence against women.

The responsibility to end gendered violence is not ours alone. We honor the men who stand up and speak up in the face of abusive sexism. May other men join you: Commit yourselves to speak out about violence against women. Pay attention to circumstances that foster violence and change them. Participate in the kind of social justice work that can lead to the dismantling of sexism, racism, homophobia, and other oppressions that allow people to view others as less than human. Sexist violence, whether committed by one university student against another in an apartment bedroom; by a predator against a vulnerable, lone woman; or by an army against the women of a community; are pieces of a continuum of violence that tears the world apart. The power to end gendered violence is largely in your hands.

Observer, I have “known” you on here for months, and you have certainly earned my trust, admiration and respect. I’m also aware that your professional history, coupled with your current contacts and position in the Cville community, offers you more insight than most into the mechanics of this case.

With that in mind – and in reference to a comment in your recent post:

“… The only thing I might offer here is that LE is not going to announce publicly each time another individual has been cleared.”

    …I have a question:

There is only one POI who’s been discussed here who could have a potentially air-tight alibi for the night of Oct. 17 (due to the magic of modern technology). In your professional opinion, is this individual still in the running? (Dance with me in the forest of vaguery, won’t you?)

    ; )

I understand if you cannot comment, but it’d certainly shift a good deal of cheese if certain records in the possession of LE have already essentially “cleared” this individual. (Note: I’m using that term loosely). And if that is *not* the case, we can probably add to the heaping plate of cheese on that seemingly central shelf…

  21. J2K says:

    jim m., B, Lovely, et al -

jimmy-james, your posts are clicking with me – to a degree. For instance, this scenario clarified my reduction of possibilities that led MH into a car with the perp(s) that nigh (3/2 @ 1:12 pm):

“… If the BIB sighting is accurate…that explains BIB are only interested in LOG–too hardcore to stick around for Metalica. They leave, see Morgan walking away from arena also, catch up to her, flirt-joke-ask her to come with them to party. She has other plans (the text, other friends in UVA, smokes at 7-11, money at ATM–whatever). BIB head to their car. Morgan at RV lot runs into BB players. BB leave her there–I think they said she was alone. MH on the bridge heading toward (party, 7-11, ATM, etc). BIB are back but now in their car on Copley bridge–she recognizes them from a few minutes early–sticks her thumb out jokingly-gets in car-they all leave to a party spot alone…”

Where you lose me is that they partied – right on campus – until nearly 4 a.m. First, I don’t believe the newspaper lady’s sighting was credible. Also, I think jennifer said it best late this afternoon when she pointed out it’s unlikely MH was in any type of public setting after 9:30 p.m. because she was not seen by anyone else that night (who has come forth).

B – you, however, hurled a monkey wrench into my thought process by responding to this post with:

“I concur 100% except how she got outside, I do not believe she was ejected.~B”

sorry, I should have worded that better. No, I was simply stating that I believe Morgan was not ejected from the arena but went outside on her own accord, for whatever reasons.
    B

Are you saying you think MH was still partying – and seen – after 3:30 a.m.?

  22. Eloise says:

TD Bone what great photos you took.Did you feel by gong there is made the area seem alot more compact? It seemed it. Did you use a telephoto lens? That gate up top of Red Hill is very intriging to me as point of entry.
To Sky, I hope your doggy come home safe & sound.

  23. fish says:

crimewriter, thanks for the photos. i have seen these. they are of other side of the stage looking over to where I believe Morgan and her group are. Remember Dee is at the left side end of the stage. Where the sound guy sits. She has bare-legs and short boots on. Her shirt slips off her shoulder. You cannot see her on these photos only the video of Metallica saying their goodbyes at the end of the night. She carries out a black beach ball.

Here is the link for LOG and the side of state I believe Morgan is on.
    http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=64320471&searchid=5f78872c-443d-45f2-828e-c8ff4261fef8l#

But Blink, I’m now thinkin’ I could be wrong, please tell me if Morgan to the RIGHT of Dee S. at the end of the stage? Was she the one throwing her head back and forth? She is not doing it here. But you catch a glimpse of her behind the guy with the black t-shirt with the white face on it. Just a glimpse.

B*** I remember you said you believe that Morgan is on a video with Dee nearby. Did I imagine you saying that? I don’t think I did but it has been too many long days that go into long nights.

    http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=64320471&searchid=5f78872c-443d-45f2-828e-c8ff4261fef8l#

I ask because if she made it inside then she is on one of these videos. They are all at such bad angles to see her. If there are BGs the MIB, on this video, could someone pick them up and see them. Could they be stage hands, hired just for LOG? Did they lure Morgan out and this is the reason she ended up outside?

Plus, if one has a GPS on ankle can they drive to and fro on their own? To work that is.

I still have so many questions. And, before anybody says the bad guy is not going to wave at the camera…yes, I know but I just want visual confirmation.

  24. cvillenative says:

Phyl – Lol at the wolf story.

Yoshi – You asked about “how” people are ejected from the JPJ, when they are ejected. I can’t speak to every single case, but a few days ago I mentioned that at a concert I went to there a couple of years ago, a guy in front of me was kicked out for firing up the pipe (and no, not a pipe of the tobacco variety). In that particular case, both security and LE came to the seats and forcefully removed him from the seating area. I should elaborate on that. It wasn’t like they wrestled him to the ground or beat him over the head or anything. At least one of them (LE) did hold him by the arm and lead him away at a brisk pace.

I don’t know what happened from there, except that the girl he was with (who was not ejected) kept nervously looking over her shoulder and checking her cell phone for quite a while afterwards, then discreetly left the section on her own.

  25. cvillenative says:

Oh! Forgot to mention the main thing I was posting about…

I just looked up EMH on the RSO website, and there is not a second address shown for him. (I wanted to be all nosey and know where he was working, since I am from the area and still have family there and all.) He is also showing up as unemployed. Is this a new development?

    Hi Blinkers,
This is my first “Morgan” post although I’ve been following her story since I found this site when Somer was abducted. I read here several times daily and though I’m a “lurker” I feel as if I know you all. I’m posting now because I have seen over the last few months that you all are some of the most vigilant and observant people I have “known” in my life (to date myself and join in Morgan’s concert tribute you all share, my first concert was NSync haha).

What made me finally post today was unfortunately nothing to add to Morgan’s case, you all do a wonderful job, and even when I think I’ve made a connection, I read 2 more posts down and someone already has, so I stay quiet ;) Like I said before I joined the site when Somer disappeared less than 3 miles from where I live. Tonight a 3 week old baby has been taken from his home by a woman posing as a Child Services worker from a mile down the street. This happened at 5pm this evening, and the woman could be anywhere with this precious baby now, so I am hoping you vigilant, observant, amazing Blinkers can take a moment to look at his photo and read the woman’s description in case she happens to take this baby to your city. See http://jacksonville.com/ for a photo of the baby and description.

Our city has been through the heartache of a missing child and I hope that prayers from all of you can bring this baby home.

Sorry to be so off topic.. I am amazed by you all daily, Justice for Morgan is on its way

I think this is Morgan http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=tbyrd7777#p/u/13/JScSv7ff9hQ
There is no footage that I know of Morgan being ejected. Just my opinion based on the eyewitness statements that Morgan fell and was helped up said nothing and continued on her way. I also remember reading two separate accounts of the fall. And then there is the dropping of the purse accounts. And then there is the eyewitness who spotted her near the beer vendors, and the eyewitness of her crying and possibly needing help, and then there was the security guy who felt guilty he wished he could have done more? or helped? I just think this all leads to a possible ejection. And then the behavior outside the arena. The couple that commented on her Pantera shirt at a Metalica concert, Kickee and his weirdness, all the accounts of here moving about the outside entrances trying to regain admittance. Why doesn’t she call SS–I accidently got outside the arena come help? Come give me the keys and I’ll wait or drive to XYZ. Or SS–I’m coming to the the entrance with our ticket stubs–their has to be a way to get you back in–I mean you waited six month for this concert! Yet no one does anything??? WHY? Because she got booted and there was nothing anyone could do. Just makes sense to me. So, please don’t torch me or my house or my border collie Jack–BOCers. I am not about to site links for the above. I’m merely drawing on months of posts I’ve read and responding to what makes sense to me.

One final note on VSP. I’m keeping my faith VSP is on point and we are days from a perp walk. But when it comes to a statement from VSP regarding a possible expulsion–how long did it take until our speculation she was drinking came to light through a presser. And then the HH. VSP has been very coded and selective when it comes to information about this case–so I don’t believe there are no images of Morgan that night–just no images for Blinkers. All in due time I’m sure–and for all the right reasons (I hope.) Keepin’ the faith.

Sky, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. This is probably a silly question but have you called the pound to see if your dog ended up there? If your dog hasn’t returned by morning, I wonder if it would be helpful to call local radio stations to see if they will ask people to call in that may have seen your dog? Putting fliers on telephone poles may be helpful as well as on grocery store bulletin boards, if your local grocery stores have a board for customers to use re; classified type advertising. The store manager may even allow you to drop off fliers for cashiers to put in people’s grocery bags. Many people use Craigslist, so it may be helpful to post an announcement on Craigslist as well.

Suz, just wanted to say, went back and found your post about Morgan and her life being full, beautiful post, thank you. Thanks for bringing it to our attention radiogirl

Sky, extra prayers for your beloved pet. If he doesn’t come home, IME going door to door with a picture, works wonders, also door to door flyers.

Gifter, thanks for bringing that over.

    TBone, Thanks for the pics.

Lovely, Hey, glad you are here.

PM1, Hi, I Welcome your cheerleading, my friend, but believe me, your input means so much more than that. Often times I do not feel like I am helping either, but I keep trying. Thanks, for lifting our spirits.

    B. has answered our pilot question (as it stands right now—things may become facts later on, we’re just interested in the known facts at the moment), but many others are up for grabs. We’ve added a couple of new ones to our ever growing list of questions on FACT or FALLACY?

    Q. A tarp was found near/with the remains (A: fallacy)
    Q1. Dan was a DD
Q2. Morgan was ejected from JPJ
    Q3. Granny’s story was discredited
Q4. Farmer Bass was out of town on Oct 17
Q5.The FBI’s call for info from cyclists was in response to specific intelligence
Q6. The Pantera shirt found in the apt. building bushes was reportedly the same style/design as Morgan’s
Q7. The apt. building in question is the same apt. building where the newspaper lady thought she saw Morgan
    Q8. Morgan’s credit/debit card was used Oct 17 after 9:30 pm

Fish, excellent links in your 5:53 p.m. post on March 1st!

In the third link (I’ll paste it below for convenience), at 1:29 – 1:32, as you pointed out, there is a girl at the bottom left of the screen who looks like Dee (I’m thinking it could be Morgan as well).

I’m wondering if anyone else sees what I see? It appears she is speaking with a guy in a red shirt. They are facing one another and he has his arm/hand on her shoulder. His arm is not on her shoulder as in a bf/gf type gesture. It is more like when someone leans in to tell you something and they place their hand on your shoulder to get and hold your attention in a way that wouldn’t be completely inappropriate if you didn’t already know the person. She leaves shortly after that (within seconds) and he follows after her. When he follows, he isn’t directly behind her nor did he leave at the same time as her. I think it’s at about 1:48 where he can be seen walking *quickly* after her.

Does anyone know if security or any other staff at the arena that night were wearing red shirts?

Oh, Skyler—I hope your doggie has made it home safely. Prayers!

Phyl, egads, I know it was a long, long time ago, but the wolf shooting story still makes me sad. The human/wolf relationship goes back a long, long way. Humans and wolves used to hunt together. Very smart animals with very cool societies. Even John’s story made me sad, cuz he wanted to invite that wolf to dinner, and it sounds like the wolf wanted to be invited, but at least no one died at the end of that tale (and maybe John had leftovers for the nice fellow).

  36. suz says:

Blink, I agree that the VSP are moving in the right direction by using social media to try to get info out there or stir up interest, but I fear their site might already need a makeover if that’s really what they are aiming to do. Right now it looks like a hodgepodge of filler, instead of just focusing on cases they need help with. The stories on the front should be gripping and frightening and invite comment. They should set up a forum that’s ready to go so folks can easily dive into each cold case. Not that I’m convinced that folks will feel free to post directly on a police board; seems less anonymous.

Anyway, kudos to them anyway for trying!

  37. justiceformorgan says:

Sorry for all the posts. o.k., I looked again and I saw possibly Dee or Morgan at the left centre of the screen. I enlarged the screen and paused at 1:29 then hit play, pause, play, pause, play, etc (link to video in comment above).

It seems, my dear, you and I are connected at the cyberhip!

Really now, I got to thinking…Have any of us posted a video where Morgan is on it? Can we put it into the photo program and blow it up and see who is in the vicinity around her? Have VSP already done this?

And, since the haven’t got the BGs yet, did they take the gate in? (that wasn’t suppose to be funny)

Was there a new gate put in? And, new can be used so it wouldn’t look brand-smackin’ new.

    ???????the silver gate???????

But here are pictures from “Moondust”. She went there also for a look around. Is this the gate? I have seen a silver one also. Where is that picture? Can someone post it? Seems it is out of my favorites? Why does this happen? Moondust, great job on the milage and photos.

“The distance to the green gate on Red Hill from 29 is 1.2 miles.”

J2K, is this the same entrance you have spoken about?

Blink: I do not think Morgan was the same girl spotted at 3 in the morning. But what do you think? That would put her without the use of her phone and VSP can pull records to see if anybody tried to see if she was around? Her friends would call right?

Sky: I’ll take you up on a day of going through boxes. But bring a good deal of tissues because when I go down to the basement, it seems I have some major issues!

    john –

my apology to you was sincere…your observations and opinions are important and thought provoking. goodness, i love a man who can show affection. my husband usually falls asleep each night with our little 16 year old doggie asleep on his chest. and it may not surprise you that i also am a painter. some of my best portraits were done of my guy friends while they were in the middle of college basketball games as i painted from the bleachers. that’s my experience with painting in the wild. haha. sorry…can’t help myself because humor is a device i use to help lighten the sometimes overwhelming weight of sadness, helplessness, and anger that i feel toward these deviants. without it, i am not sure i could continue delving into the dark recesses of some twisted minds and lives that so cruelly force themselves into ours.

oh, and my rabbis welcomed me, a nice viking scotch irish german mutt girl! i converted but you don’t have to be jewish to study mysticism.
don’t get me wrong, though, i also am a very down to earth and pragmatic kinda gal. delusional, don’t think so. i would happily accept a description as an eccentric one of a kind…and i feel compelled to contribute whatever little bit i can to our collective hunt for those responsible for morgan’s abduction and murder.

the knowledge that this vast internet provides a place for people to come together from all over the world with a need to help solve crimes gives me such hope for the future. never before has there been this ability to tap into so many incredible minds. it just blows me away. the fact that participants do so willingly while anonymous without the need for recognition and/or fame defines this as a noble enterprise. i want to continue as part of this great and diverse group of good humans. in my humble opinion, we help illustrate that there is more light than dark in the world.

    again,

thank you to blink and her team for giving us this virtual war room

Just wanted to say Hi to everyone. Today, 3 March, would have been the birthday of my friend who committed suicide. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if this is also the day an arrest is made in Morgan’s case? Seeing as my friend was the topic of my first post here, it would be great if her date of birth could bring some good news in this case. In that way, her date of birth will be so much more significant and memorable than her date of death. Off topic, but I wish I could see snow in real life like I have been seeing in the photos here and like you guys have been talking about. It is so beautiful. I have only ever seen sleet, not proper, pure white snow. Although I know you are probably sick of it and wish you had weather as hot as it is here in South Africa at the moment (almost 40 degrees Celsius). Sending good thoughts everyone’s way.

I just want to let off some steam, I am very upset about the recent discovery of Chelsea King. When is this going to end? My 16 year old daughter loves to run and goes often – by herself – but no more! What is wrong with our legal system? Registered sex offenders (of the deviant nature) will repeat! It doesn’t matter that they are registered or wear a tether. They are mentally ill individuals who cannot be rehabilitated. The man (if I dare consider him human) who they arrested was convicted of lewd acts with a 13 year old, but he did his time, finished probation so he is fine, right? I’m just tired of all this, we should be able to go out for a walk or run in broad daylight by ourselves. We should be able to wear mini skirts and have fun. We should be able to attend a concert with our friends, get drunk, go to a party, go outside to have a cigarette without ending our lives. Sorry, just po’d.

and wt being related to violent rapists…well, take your pick. the family tree shakes out a few on the public state registry

osu- I agree 100%. About a month ago, I wrote a long-winded rant to Blink that wasn’t published about some of these same sentiments. Mine was rather harsh. In that post, I made reference to a “Morgan’s Law” (lol Jim m, we had a similar idea-it has a nice ring to it) that would call for much harsher sentencing for sex-offenders, especially repeat offenders. (Also named if Morgan’s killer turns out to be an RSO.)The Chelsea King murder coverage last night enraged me. Another young life snuffed out because some pig is set free to roam the streets after kidnapping and molesting a little girl. WTF? Seriously? There is another teen girl missing in that same vicinity for months. Child molesters and rapists CANNOT BE FIXED. I don’t care what shrink thinks they can. Period. Let the pot dealers and even coke dealers out early. Let the theives out early. KEEP THESE EFFIN SEX OFFENDERS IN JAIL WHERE THEY BELONG!! A second offense should be life in prison.
Is it going to take a Senator’s daughter to be raped and murdered by an RSO before they do anything about this?

  50. DMB says:

I don’t know why but I have a hard time believing that the BIB’s went to see either Gorjira or LOG and left before the opening act. You don’t just spend money on a concert and not stay for the whole thing. I could understand if it was an all day or weekend event, but this was not the case. Even if they were not a die-hard Metallica fans, I think that they would stay through the main event. Sometimes the opening acts come on to play with the main artist, do a little jam session at the end of the show etc. I think most people that buy concert tickets…stay for the entire show. IMO

I wonder if the BIB’s are possibly drug dealers/vendors. I know that where I live we have people that go to the local concert arenas to sell their merchandise. (pipes, t-shirts, drugs etc.) They go hang out in the parking lots before shows. They have no intention of seeing the concerts, therefore would usually leave once concert-goers enter for the main event/act. This would go along with time line if they were seen walking away from the arena before Metallica took the stage.

Do any of the POI’s have drug arrest records? For either possession or dealing?
