Plaxico Burress, formerly a football player for the NY Giants, got sentenced 2-3 years minimum for having an unregistered handgun. A couple people mentioned on this board did less time for RAPE. The POS in the King murder did about that much time for kidnapping and molesting a 13 yr old. Give me a break.

Sorry Blink for the OT posts. I’m done spewing. As you can tell, this issue infuriates me.

MinniePenney: So happy that you are virus free and up and running! I’m having my own glitches also. But hubby is giving me his laptop back. I always have multiple pages open so I tend to jam up my own puter! I need a backup. I research between sites. I personally think I need an upgrade. Maybe you can send your Geek over to see my Geek!

osu: a hug to you. get it off your chest. it is good for your soul.

keekee: there are those types of families that have a great deal of dysfunction in them. Not all bad but not all good. I have had past experience where they tend to circle the wagons to protect their own. If you can get the weakness link away and offer them peace of mind, then just maybe it happens. It does happen. But the more trouble with the law, they and I mean the cousins, aunts, etc…, then it will be very difficult. But make no mistake, it will happen again. They or maybe it will just be him, can’t help himself. A stalker, violent person in the family and Mom and Dad will not be able to provide the kind of help he needs.
    Just my opinion!

BTW. Solid connection and solid work. Period.
Blink, no leeway needed. He is what he is. Period.
    Justice for Morgan. Period.

Fish my friend, I think you meant to post this on the new piece :)

Thanks. I was at least one of those who inquired about this.

Another question for anyone: Is the rso EMH connected in anyway to the rso DLS? tia.

After seven minutes of looking at this LOG video, I am thinking that this is the wrong one? Justice, Could you double check. I do know that Dee is at left end of stage and you are saying Morgan is at the right end of stage. Maybe we could find a clearer video. I’m searching.

The only thing that I saw was me wanting to french braid all that hair!

  6. fish says:

Blink: If VSP are not concerned with what went on inside the arena just after she exited the arena…how did they come to that decision? Should we believe that they were never inside for LOG? Just outside tailgating?

Im not sure saying that they were not concerned about what happened inside, I think they were trying to funnel energy into tips for what happened after, when this was a missing persons case, imo.

… Mizz Skyler, are you ready? Here’s your Fact:

Violent repeat sex offender (approximately MH’s exact age) lives about 90 seconds (by vehicle) from the strange dump site on AF…

    *COINCIDENCE… OR … CLUE?!*

I’m going to have to use one of my life lines and call a friend.

Blink, Blink, hello, are you there ? What do you think — coincidence or clue ?

I have to say “clue” — even if aforenamed person had no direct involvement w/ Ms. Harrington’s fatality, he may have been consulted as to “what the hell are we gonna do w/ her body” “Stick her up on AF — Old Man Bass just sits on his growing pile of money and never goes in that area — nobody’ll ever find her”

We’re down to 30 seconds Blink — what do you think ?

  8. skyler says:

OT — Thanks everyone about thoughts for the MIA dog

We called the pound — they don’t have her, but got my number if they pick her up — I drove around for an hour this AM and talked to every neighbor who was around — made up a flyer my boy is getting copied in the city –

Good idea on the grocery store — I live 15 miles from town, but there’s a little convenience store up the street — I’ll see if they’ll put something in their window —

    Also Craig’s list, too

I can’t believe she’s gone … it’s just like Morgan — out of thin air

    2*4*1

I can’t believe I didn’t think of this before (and it may not be considered valuable but ….here it goes!)

I used to work at the facility where the Edmonton Oilers played. I was employed as an usherette for 10 years. The first year I ushered, the Oilers won their first Stanley Cup. One of my all time favourite memories ever! Here’s where my light bulb goes off….

The only time a ‘fan’ or concert goer would get kicked out of the venue is if:

    1. The tickets they have were reported as stolen by the original owner (police work at this venue for all events and are provided with a list of stolen tickets for games, concerts, etc).

    2. They are inebriated or stoned out of their minds. If there are enough complaints, that person would be escorted out of the building by security or police.

    3. They’ve been involved in a fight. It would have to be a major scuffle for the police and event staff to consider throwing someone out.

Another thing, we also had first aid staff at EVERY event.

Does JPJ have police and first aid working at these events? If so, and Morgan was indeed hurt, she would have been seen by a first aid person (cut on her chin IIRC). Someone in a uniform or a security shirt would have noticed this. There is no way they would throw her out with an injury, even a mild one. I am convinced there are more witnesses to Morgan’s appearance at the concert.

Also, if she was trying to get back in, she would have been let in! I am adamant on this unless JPJ has a unique set of regulations. If Morgan had her ticket in her possession (even scanned), she should have been allowed back in especially if she wasn’t thrown out. In fact, if she was leaving, she would have had her hand stamped!!!!!!

I’d be interested in learning what JPJ’s security measures are. If Morgan was outside, I’d say it was her choice. She probably knew who was waiting for her. Otherwise, she would have gotten back into that event. I don’t question that for a na no sec.

Any thoughts that would rule out my infamous 2 cents? LOL

Love and hugs to everyone xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo

Welcome to orangeparkgirl and thanks for sharing the link about the missing baby so close to you and where sweet little Somer was murdered. It seems like we just hearing more and more cases everyday. Praying that the baby will be found quickly and okay.

Osu, it’s fine that you let off some steam. We’ve all done it here from time to time. I think all here would agree, it’s our right. Our outrage after all, is in defense of the victims.

EinSA, so sorry about your friend. How uplifting it would be if something wonderful broke in Morgan’s case on her birthday. It would make a new memory and one that would take away some of the grief. Blessings to you.

MinniePenney, so glad to see you back. I sure have missed your posts. I always enjoy reading about your past life experiences and am glad you share them with us. Hope that cp virus is gone for good!

Skyler, I sure hope your little doggie came home. Hope she’s okay!
I don’t know the little girl’s name, but I’m praying she’s back home, warm and safe.

Keekee and fish, I always look forward to your posts. Good to see Lovely and NYCdude again. And everybody else, too. Glad to see all the new posters. I wonder sometimes, how close we are in our visions of what each poster looks like. I somehow put a face with the poster, I guess just from the different ways they express themselves. I have to say Fish, that desciption about the way high hair and lipgloss takes it all. I agree with J2K, priceless.

TD thanks for the photos. Absolutely astounding. Your great work is so appreciated.

I don’t really have anything new to add, you guys are doing a great job. May today be the day…An arrest and justice for Morgan, begin!

    @Eloise: “Eloise says:
    March 2, 2010 at 10:34 pm

I can’t wait to hear what you all have to think after looking at those photos posted above. What an absolutely beautiful piece of the world. It has caused me to rotate my cheese to the unseen gate and path from Red Hill. ( photo 43 or so) Did Sky have a photo of this? I can’t recall. The old farm house is much prettier than I thought from the historical article photo. This path looks much more traveled and with more coverage from the street. And when you look down that drive, and veer to the left, is the white/snowy passage the field leading down to where she was found? If so, seems much more direct. Hard to say, what say you?”

First, thanks for bringing the link over the Tbones pics. He took some great ones. Unfortunately, the zoom somewhat mis-represents the distances in several pics. Case in point: Pic 63. The distance to the house from where the pic was taken is right at a mile. The distance tto the far mountain is 3 1/4 miles. Somewhat deceiving.

Regarding the double-gate off of Red Hill Rd leading into the woods. As I’ve said all along, this could certainly have been an access way to the location where the body was found, but I find it highly unlikely that someone would drag/carry/whatever MH down the steep hillside, into an open field, across a steep-banked very difficult to cross creek, into another short open field, across a barb-wire fence, to her final destination.

Again, my thoughts on the three points of access to her body are:
1-Main driveway into AF. Follow the main road back until getting to the back field and cut across field before getting to the Bass home.
2-Enter first gate off Red Hill Rd and drive a mile up the river bottom. VERY doable.
3-Enter thru the second Blandemar entrance(pic 55) and follow the drive down until you enter the field at the hay or equipment barn, drive across the bottom until you reach the fenceline. Again, VERY doable. The first gate is almost always closed while the second is not even though it is in the pic.

Skyler, so sorry to hear about your pup. :(

so so OT… all female death metal band? Check out Dreaming Dead – this new BOC ensemble could give them a run for their money! I stumbled onto them at a Nile concert last month, which I attended in part to see what the pull was with this type of music… Morgan’s story has touched so many people in ways we’ll never ever know.

  20. Phyl says:

    Oh Suz,
I’m sorry. The last thing I want to do here is make anyone sad. My wolf comment was in response to John’s wolf story. I really thought he was messing with Keekee. Hugging a wolf in the woods is really not a very good idea. Especially a very lonely hungry one. But I get the sadness. I’m an animal lover too. But when I was lost in the woods at dusk in Montana a few years back (I was on a snowmobile trip with a group and separated from them and got stuck in a snow pit.) I was praying for a miracle and hoping no wolves were eyeing me up for dinner. I would have felt a lot safer if I had a loaded rifle in my hands, animal lover or not. I too don’t get hunting for sport though. I’d find much more enjoyment in hunting down rapists and murderers.

  21. Phyl says:

    All,
Regarding video footage. I think LE is wise in not showing their cards. BadGuys don’t know what the heck LE has.

  22. Phyl says:

Skyler. I really hope you find your dog soon. Spread the word fast to everyone…picture at post office/police station/grocery store/online newspaper/pound/petshop, etc. Do you know the owner of your dog’s friend? Maybe she’s there? I wish I lived close to you, I’d help you search. I’d freak if my pets were lost too.

  23. Josie says:

Hi belleboyd. Thanks for the link to the very interesting bigfoot truck video filmed in Crozet. Could you tell us a little more about it and what led to your conclusion?

On the subject of videos, thanks justice, jim m, Mom3, Fish and any others who have been looking them over again. Maybe, it’s just me, but I can’t make heads or tails out of them. I see a lot of blinking lights, blue, purple and pink. I admire you for your work. Gosh, we have so many great people on hear, how can I tell each of you how valuable you are?

To everyone, thank you for all you do to find justice for dear Morgan!

  26. John says:

    Phyl
Your grandfather shot a wolf for no reason. He then had it stuffed (this is worse than shooting it)
How would you like it if the wolves had the guns, and the humans had to run?

  27. J2K says:

    fish-

I meant to compliment you on your post the other day to the Harringtons – beautiful, heart-wrenching sentiments, my dear – I teared up. TY for sharing that.

In regard to the double gate (pics from Detective Moonchime?), that is *not* where I believe the entry point to be – Christy S. took several shots of the first gate into the property off Red Hill Road, just before the street-level bridge over the Hardware River – as far as I’m concerned, that provided the access (also where the bicyclists pull over when riding Red Hill).

Our man-on-the-scene Red Hill Local is familiar with the area/site and here’s how he described it:

“…Again, my thoughts on the three points of access to her body are:

2-Enter first gate off Red Hill Rd and drive a mile up the river bottom. VERY doable.”

Again, to me, this seems the most sensible access, whether the perp(s) was driving down 29 South or taking Red Hill Road toward that main thoroughfare (29). While it’s premature to put all my cheese on one shelf, *if* the neighboring RSO was driving/being driven home in time for, say, a probationary curfew, this gateway – and its direct line to the spot a mile from there where she was found – would be highly convenient.

    sky -

I’m sure your pup will return – have you tried driving around and yelling his name/shaking a bag of treats out the car window? You poor dear… hang in there!

    Back on-topic:
    [cue Jeopardy timer-music rip-off]
Your fact was… Violent repeat sex offender (approximately MH’s exact age) lives about 90 seconds (by vehicle) from the strange dump site on AF… *COINCIDENCE… OR … CLUE?!*

You said: “I’m going to have to use one of my life lines and call a friend. Blink, Blink, hello, are you there ? What do you think — coincidence or clue ?”

(For the record, I think Blink provided a 500-word answer to this very question in the form of her latest article.)

    Your final answer, Mizz Skyler?

“I have to say ‘clue’ — even if aforenamed person had no direct involvement w/ Ms. Harrington’s fatality, he may have been consulted as to ‘what the hell are we gonna do w/ her body,’ ‘Stick her up on AF — Old Man Bass just sits on his growing pile of money and never goes in that area — nobody’ll ever find her.’”

(I’m all for entrepreneurship, but an RSO Emergency Consultant Service? Yikes…)

So folks, sky is going with “CLUE!”

    - LE, is she correct?…

  28. bevolovr says:

I think this may show Morgan in the LOG Laid to Rest vid. Go to 1:20 – lower leftish, a blonde raises her right arm and gestures 3-4 times to the beat. Notice the bracelet on her wrist. It looks a little thicker, heftier, like the pic I saw. There’s also a brunette with a shortish bob near her, and it appears they’re talking at times.
The blonde on the right is Dee, I believe.

  30. cosmo says:

i wonder which perp is involved that is connected to LE / EMS / FIRE / SECURITY / THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM / GOVT …
    it has been 5 months.
    there have been no POIs
    there have been no suspects
they had no body and it was a missing persons case with University police as lead. they found the body and then finally VSP gets involved.
they still have nothing. DNA and Toxicology wouldn’t take this long with so many people dead / dying / abducted / kidnapped / etc.
LE still doesn’t have anything and puts out messages for people to call them … 5 MONTHS LATER. they are pretty sure of 1 perp, but there is 1 that is way too high profile connected and they are favoring the connection. that is the only reason i can think of that Virginia Police and FBI are operating so inefficiently and hush hush. i understand needing to build the case and obviously, the need to have evidence… but come on, it has been almost 2 months since the body has been discovered. i mean … we have been so proactive and have just about all angles covered and we don’t have access to ANYTHING LE has … which leads me to believe that there is something impeding the real progress … doesn’t anyone think that the killer(s) could have done the same thing we are doing? i.e. … “hey, we need to dump a body … where does the closest RSO live?” i mean, with adrenaline, crime, repeat offenders, etc … this really seems like an insider. the RSO is so close and so obvious. who has intimate knowledge of the arena, the farm, and the techniques necessary to evade University Police, State Police, and Federal Law Enforcement (FBI)?

  31. kathy says:

Why are the VSP asking for info re: Alicia Showalter’s abduction/murder? I thought they had evidence tying Richard Marc Evonitz to her murder (he had notes, directions, where he left her body). Her brother asserts that VSP never checked Evonitz’s DNA against the evidence found with Alicia. Remember, the VSP were hell bent to pin this charge on Darrell D. Rice (a BG in his own right) but his DNA didn’t match and he was exonerated on this but did time for attempting to abduct another woman.

I support Alicia’s brother in saying that the VSP should test Evonitz’s DNA (which they had once said they would do). Or, give the brother an explanation as to why they wouldn’t. Just saying…

    bevolovr,

I am not sure if that is Morgan, I don’t think so. Could be
I believe Fish showed the view from the other side of the state and this couldn’t have been her. Although this is the same video I have watched 100 of times before. And again for you and Morgan…. I know I said I couldn’t but so many questions about these vids, i thought it was the least I could do to sit thru them, no matter how sad and gut wretching. – She deserves my support and so do you guys who are trying desperately to see her there…..

I believe Morgan is one of the Head banging Blondes. There are two of them- one shown at 3:07 just as the camara pans and the lights turn up (She wasn’t standing there before when the camera panned at 2;48-IMO she ran up with the guys you can see moving fast toward the state just as the lights turn up) you can see her until 3:17

IMO you can also see a little redhead with straight hair possibly SS closer to the camera -starting at 3:13, to the left of the HBB. Red is turned away from the camera talking with a short/curly haired Blonde boy.

The other possible Morgan is seen first at 2:01 til 2:10 She is directly lined up with the elevated drum kit. IMO you can also see possible Strawberry blonde crinkly curly haired SS or Am to the right front of HBB poss MH She is calmly talking to the person next to her.

This head banging Blonde p MH is actually holding her head and Hbanging I believe as you can see her arm on her head and what I believe is a sparkly bracelet on her right arm. She also appears to be wearing long sleeves sleeves.

Remember you have to continuously stop play stop play just before these times all the way thru these times. as she/they are moving way too fast., let me know what you think…. please one and all

TO PM1: Apologies for this belated note, but you are the best cheerleader any team could ever hope to have; I nominate you to be head cheerleader! As someone else here said, you lift our spirits. [I'm reminded of Bette Milder's wonderful song "Wind Beneath My Wings". Your words ring true with those lyrics.]

TO Skyler: Apologies for this belated note, as well: I am so sorry to read about your missing pup! [I would be beside myself if it were my sweet Maggie Magnolia who'd gone missing; my heart goes out to you as you must be frantic with worry.] Our fur buddies are so important to us; I hope you’re reunited soon with yours! [As weird as it sounds, have you tried leaving a couple of his favorite treats near both the front and back doors? You just never know...

TO J2K: Per one of your earlier posts, I would love to accept that offer to "dance in the forest of vagary", re: POIs "cleared" or otherwise, but alas, I cannot; would that I could...

RE, point of access to place Morgan’s body: Red Hill local, 3/3, 2:29pm, offered three possible scenarios. [If I've not mentioned this earlier, please let the record show that I have an immense amount of respect for RHL’s first-hand knowledge and observations of this area; thank you so much for your important contributions here, RHL--they are invaluable.] His second scenario was:

“2. Enter first gate off Red Hill Rd and drive a mile up the river bottom. VERY doable.”

While RHL mentions that his #3 scenario is also doable, my money is on #2 above.

FWIW: My sense is that this case is (blessedly) coming to closure. [I admittedly felt something similar just after Morgan's remains were found, but I was clearly wrong.] While I may be, I hope that I am not wrong again this time.

Agreed on all accounts with an underline on access #2.

I’m also looking for a clearer image.

    I have my computer connected to my television so I can use my television screen as my computer screen. As a result, my computer screen is 42″. Maybe that’s why I am seeing what I am seeing – the image is way big. Here’s a better description of where to look;

    1. Enlarge the screen by clicking on the “box” to the left of the menu button.

    2. Stop the video at exactly 1:29.

    3. If you look on the left side of the screen, just below the center of the screen (still left side but center as in equal distance between top and bottom of the screen), you will see people that are in a “natural colored light” (the rest of the audience is in a hot pink colored light). The people in the “natural colored” light look like they are hanging over the side of a partition and they are closest to the stage.

    4. If you start at the first head/body you see on the far left and start counting, you will count six people (the second one is much shorter than the rest and easy to miss unless you count by faces). The seventh person is the one wearing the red shirt. He has his arm up and extended towards the person who I think looks like Morgan or Dee.

There appears to be a red shirt guy walking in the “aisle” below the seating at about 1:40 to 1:48 however, now that I have looked at the video another 20 times :) , it appears this isn’t the same red shirt guy however there seems to be something going on where original red shirt guy is seen.

It’s probably two completely unrelated people however I thought it worth mentioning. I don’t know how to do screen grabs from a video or if it can be done but I think it would be worth a look-see if anyone is able to grab the image and then enlarge it big time.

Sky, sorry your little dog is missing. Praying that she’ll return soon.

Total Amateur – I agree with you – I don’t get why BG’s who commit crimes involving $ or mail fraud, etc. get long hard sentences and those that commit such unspeakable crimes against women and children get minimum time and are out on parole or just get probation. It makes no sense. Seems that in this country we’ve been sending the message for years that it’s o.k. I used to work in Superior Court Probation back in the 70′s and it would really upset me when the victims who were raped were put on the stand and had to defend themselves!! They did nothing wrong. I remember a defense atty asking a young girl what she was wearing. I wanted to jump up and scream that it makes no difference what she was wearing. Rape is a crime of hatred towards women. One of power – it’s not because he was turned on because she was wearing a short skirt! I am so upset that every day we turn on the tv and there is another beautiful, young girl missing. Then we hear that they found her body. I am so sick of it. All I can do is pray for these families. It makes me feel so helpless, frustrated and very angry. Praying for Morgan’s family and for Chelsea King and the Dubois girl who has been missing for awhile in CA. Praying for LE too.

I think this could be important.

See the guy wearing a tan t-shirt and walking away (closest to the bottom of the screen) 3 minutes and 7 seconds into video until 3 minutes 12 seconds? Does this guy look familiar to anyone?

The blonde in this video is Dee. Not Morgan. I have commented on it before. I am positive.

My fav film is Dances With Wolves….all our little doggies and big doggies came from Two Socks way way way back. I would like to have a flea on a cave man or cave woman when they threw a bit of elk meat out to the wolf watching the campfire and the wolf inched up to eat it…then returned with the cute little wolf cubs and voila !!!!! Our best friendship ever was formed. I wish a mother wolf and maybe some Rottweilers had been protecting Morgan that night. I hope her little doggie is eating again and gives her father and mother little puppy kisses.

Justice, yeah, pretty sure that’s Dee. No tights and shorter boots.

TO: Pepper, 3/3, 9:30pm: You said “I used to work in Superior Court Probation back in the 70’s and it would really upset me when the victims who were raped were put on the stand and had to defend themselves!! Having worked as a sexual assault victim advocate for over 15 yrs. I underscore your outrage above. The good news is that we now have what are referred to as rape shield laws. These laws disallow the defense from bringing into question the past sexual behavior of the victim–a tactic that was used far too often (and far too effectively) by the defense in their attempt to sway the opinion of the jury. In certain states, the law also extends to prohibition about bringing into evidence the manner of the victim’s dress.

You are right, Pepper: rape is about power and control. It is not about sex nor it is not about the length of a woman’s skirt. To assume otherwise is to somehow allow the perpetrators to abdicate a certain level of responsibility, as they “just couldn’t help themselves” because their victim was so “enticing”.

Spare me, gentlemen, from gratuitous argument.

Pepper, you went on to say “It makes me feel so helpless, frustrated and very angry.” I understand your frustration, your anger, and your sense of helplessness. But there is something you can do to challenge those feelings: get involved. Volunteer at your local rape crisis center. Get involved by helping to empower and educate young women. Let your voice be heard at events like Take Back The Night. Applaud your male friends who also stand up for the rights of their moms, their sisters, their girlfriends, their wives, and their daughters.

Know that, even as one person, you can make a difference in the life of one young woman. Just like that story of the little boy who found a single starfish that had washed-up on the beach one day…

Last–but not least–I applaud your heart, Pepper, as I do so many others’ here like skyler…Mom3.0…fish…J2K…PM1 and countless others. Together, we can stand up and make a difference…in Morgan’s memory. Where her voice can no longer be heard, let ours ring loud and clear and strong.

    True Dat, thanks O
