Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Macaluso Out – New Discovery Released

Orlando, FL– Announced this Sunday evening, California Attorney Todd Macaluso will not be Casey Anthony’s Valentine; or her attorney.

Jose-casey-and-todd-macaluso

As predicted exclusively at blinkoncrime.com, Macaluso informed Casey and her defense team that he would not be able to represent her in the murder charge against her due to entering the alternative discipline program with the California Bar Association (CBA).

However, Mr. Macaluso has been participating in the ADP for several months. In fact, he has handled other cases, several of them, in the meantime.

Macaluso, dubbed the Madoff of Law at blinkonrime.com, had pending disciplinary charges against him he neglected to inititially disclose when he submitted his pro hac vice to Judge Stan Strickland last March.

Blinkoncrime has learned from a source inside the CBA, that Macaluso reached an agreement last week with the CBA to voluntarily take a license suspension beginning in April, for an undisclosed period of time, in order to avoid a disciplinary trial on the current charges brought against him last year.

Why allow him to continue to practice law both in Cali and Florida and all of a sudden pull the plug? New Complaint.

An additional complaint was filed last year that has reached elevated status within the CBA and became the “proverbial straw” as it were. It involves Macaluso’s distribution of a settlement, and the fact that he has already admitted the offense in Oregon, where the lawsuit is being litigated currently.

Hundreds of Discovery Docs to Be Released This Morning

Announced Yesterday, the State Attorneys Office will be releasing several CD’s of new discovery after 8:30 AM EST this morning. It is expected to contain video of the special Henkel duct tape believed to be the source of the tape found on the skull of Caylee Marie Anthony, and other documents and photos.

Check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates and links to the discovery.

Food for thought two days from the Jill Kerley ‘defense-defined-death-bed’ deposition, as noticed by the state.

WHY on earth, when the defense claims that LE should have had Roy Kronk on their radar and fully investigated him as ‘suspect’, did the PI Dominic Casey of D&A Investigations, not list Roy Kronk as a ‘Character of Interest’ in their defense’s ‘security bulletin No: M01′?

T2M very good catch on the error free motion! It’s all the little details that tell a story. Not that something like that could be/would be proved but ….oh if it would did happen, there has been so much out and out deception from all of them.

The circus? I think the A’s are pure in-your-face-white trash and they would have acted like animals no matter what but either Baez didn’t really know what happened at the beginning and saw the potential of heart wrenching drama of a missing child, the longer that could go on with sustained developments (even nutty Anthony antics) could be beneficial to a fame seeker like himself.
OR Baez knew what happened, even if it was some cock and bull story from kc. He may have just let it ride, knew if Caylee didn’t get discovered plan A could proceed, and if he had her ‘found’ then his star could shoot to the top of the celebrity heap. I’m convinced that it was his game plan to keep it going, keep kc away from any outside sources so that by accident it wasn’t derailed.

  5. Thinker says:

Question for Kleat and T2M ….. is it your opinion that Kronk was “used” by the Defense or people working for the Defense, and that the Defense knew in advance that Kronk would be the person to find Caylee on the specific date of DECEMBER 11th??? Then, the Defense turned against their “patsy”???

I do not like to think that Kronk was any part of finding Caylee other than purely innocently stumbling on her remains in the woods.

A fact that really nags at me is the SEVEN HOUR jail visit with Casey by a Defense attorney on the very NIGHT BEFORE Caylee was found by Kronk (visit from about 10pm until 4:30AM the next day).

    Dec 8, 2008 Atty Adam (8:47pm to 10:04pm – 1 hr+)
    Dec 9, 2008 Atty Adam (8:45pm to 9:36pm – 1 hr)
    Dec 10, 2008 Atty Adam (9:44pm to 4:39am NEXT DAY -Dec 11th – 7 HOURS
Caylee FOUND – Dec 11th) [Did they know Caylee would be found next day?]
Dec 11, 2008 – KC had visitors for 11 hours of 24 hours in the day
    Caylee found about 9:30am
Atty Adam (night before at 9:44pm to 4:39am on the 11th – 7 HOURS)
    Baez (11:55am to 1:33pm – 1 1/2 hrs)
    Atty Garcia (4:43pm to 8:23pm – almost 4 hrs)
    Baez again (8:04pm to 9:05pm – 1 hr)

I think the defense had people on standby for the eventuality of the body being found.
Note that LKB was in Orlando and in court in less than 24 hours after the find, that’s way too fast to be last minute. Also, the motion requesting the defense be allowed in the autopsy was one of the only motions that didn;t contain doezens of typos and such, was filed very quickly and correctly, not a hallmark of JB, I think that motion was pre-written and signed and dated after the fact.

Would be interesting to know when Dr. Kathy from Montreal, was first contacted about heading to Florida on a moment’s notice, right at Christmas season, was she given a heads up that this could happen? That the defense knew they would need this type of expert on call if and when a body was found in those woods?
Can the FBI question this anthropologist, the ME, would they have to first prove letters of engagement to have confidential status? What is confidential about a date they were first contacted? That would show that the defense anticipated the eventual find of the body and knowledge that the child was not alive.
Can investigators get this information from such an expert witness, or is this client confidentiality too?

  6. Kleat says:

Thinker, I think you are right, and notably Mark NeJame agrees because he checked Kronk’s story. Kronk saw something, he returned when the water subsided.

If there was a connection to the jail and Casey, that would surely be revealed. I don’t put much stock in LP’s theories or his reasons for being involved in any of this.

me tooo nothing ging on no one here hardly:( these withdrawls are a pain!

  8. Steadychick says:

I believe Kronk acknowledged that one of the reasons he looked around was because he, like many people, thought there was a reward (not realizing this was for a live Caylee only). Dominic had been in and out of those woods quite a few times in the month prior to Caylee being found. Just guessing, but seems to me this increased activity could have attracted attention and caused others to go looking in the same area. If the defense knew the body was there, they had to know that it might be a very short time before someone stumbled across something. I’m thinking the many hours of visits may be an indication that the defense knew where the body was and was preparing for Casey’s reaction and what their response would be.

Anthony Family May Lose Caylee’s Home
    Bank Of America Files Foreclosure

    POSTED: Monday, February 22, 2010
    UPDATED: 11:57 pm EST February 22, 2010

ORLANDO, Fla. — Local 6 was present when Bank of America moved to foreclose on the home where Caylee Anthony once lived, a move the family didn’t see coming.

George and Cindy Anthony said they did not know that the papers had been filed until Local 6’s Mike DeForest brought it to their attention.

According to the foreclosure filing, the Anthonys had not made a mortgage payment in nine months.

The Anthonys’ attorney said their granddaughter’s death contributed to them losing the house that Casey Anthony called home from the age of 3, where she raised Caylee, and where she was eventually arrested in connection with the toddler’s killing.

The Anthonys have owned the Hopespring Drive property since 1989, but four years ago they refinanced their home for $121,000. According to the filing, they still owe nearly all of that money.

Bank of America said that since June 2009, the Anthonys have failed to make their $785 monthly payments.

The Anthonys attorney attributed the couple’s latest financial problems to the notoriety of the case and the emotional toll caused by their granddaughter’s slaying.

Cindy Anthony told prosecutors she had to leave her job because of stress-related medical problems and has been on disability for more than a year.

George Anthony, on the other hand, said he — like many others in this economy — is having difficulty finding work. But the Anthonys attorney said George Anthony has an added difficulty because he is instantly recognized and rejected by most employers either because of who he is or because companies fear he may bring unwanted media attention.

Many had speculated that the Anthonys were profiting off book and movie deals, but their attorney said this foreclosure proves that never occurred.

The Anthonys said they plan to do all they can to save their home, if only to preserve the place where Caylee spent her life.

New documents filed Monday in Orange Circuit Court show thatBank of America is foreclosing on Casey Anthony’s childhood home.

The owners of the house are George and Cindy Anthony, the grandparents of slain toddler Caylee Marie Anthony.

The home at 4937 Hopespring Drive in Chickasaw Oaks subdivision was the last place where Caylee Marie Anthony was seen alive. Her body was found a few hundred yards away in woods.

unfortuneatly in this economy many good people are losing their homes, but the only difference is, these people could have made that payment, or at least tried too.
it has been documented that they did in fact receive $ for pictures
it is a fact they have a boat (not a necessary living expense) they could sell
it is a fact that they took a cruise (who takes a cruise or vacation when they haven’t paid their mortgage)
I don’t feel sorry for them
I don’t live in the same home I grew up in, not many people do
they could have found jobs somewhere, they just arent’ looking, and i do believe that they think someone will save them, they will scream victim again
they could have sold that house over a year ago, it’s only GA & Ca left at home, if they were having money troubles, that’s what they should have done, not to mention the fact that they’ve had attorney’s hold thier hands for the last year, c’mon now!

Correct me if I’m wrong but….

weren’t George and Cindy having financial problems looooong before all of this?

and wasn’t George having difficulty finding and keeping employment loooong before the “emotional toll” of this case…and looooong before the economy hit a rough note?

  24. Lori says:

While normally a very compassionate, empathetic person…I don’t take pleasure in others’ misery…I don’t find this situation “sad” in the least.

These people don’t do anything without an ulterior motive; stay tuned for the latest scam to reveal itself. They retain a personal attorney for heaven’s sake! And they can’t pay their $785 mortgage payment?

    Please.

  25. Ragdoll says:

‘Documents show the couple owes between $50,001 and $249,999.’

Is this a guesstimate? It’s a bit of a gap between the 2 numbers.

  26. Ragdoll says:

    No. No. No.

Something isn’t right here. This seems like a ‘timing thing’. Something is about to be exposed. First, the defense funding is sucking slew water. Now the Anthony home is in foreclosure? This is indeed about money alright. Just what are these people up to now?

If I’m way off, someone call me on it. Otherwise, I’m am rock solid skeptical, at the very least.

  27. Pamela says:

Ok, seriously, who should feel sorry for the Anthony’s. Again they try to profit off of the death of Caylee by saying they will do everything they can to save the home that “Caylee” lived in. Please give me a break, for what it cost for the 4 of them to go on the cruise, they could have made up alot of those payments. Who doesn’t know they didn’t make a house payment for 9 months, they made their electric and phone, or that would have been cut off after 1 missed payment. They are really sliming it up again. And using this as a means to go on long term disability? I know of people who’ve lost a loved one to murder, and they didn’t go on disability, they met their obligations. The Anthony’s are grifters at their core, and nothing more.

  28. Heidi says:

Sorry, but this is called the game of life. I’m not sorry one bit. This is about accountability, not unfortunate circumstances. I bet their credit score fell off the page a long time ago. Why didn’t Cindy offer up statements to LE when asked? Every time I hear the family say “it’s on my other phone” or “at home with other records” or “I can’t remember” or “something like that” I want to scream. The Anthony’s own this mess, not Bank of America or tax payers of Florida.

  29. MJ says:

foreclosure is a heart wrenching emotional thing, don’t wish it on anyone. It’s impossible for it to be a surprise. Everyone knows whether or not they are paying their mortgage. No sympathy from me however, there is a palpable expectation from G & C that the money will start flowing in, it’s just a matter of time. Maybe some publicity hound will help them out, maybe the Milsteads. The foreclosure thing didn’t slow them down a bit.

  30. Sosad says:

The foreclosure is just one more example of the Anthonys greed and need to live a life above their means as “stars”. They currently owe $30K more than they bought the house for. After 21 years of payments, it should be close to paid off. Now that this is public knowledge I wonder if some white knight will appear to catch them up on the payments.

  31. Sosad says:

Oh, and it’s nonsense that they didn’t know about the foreclosure. There are plenty of notices that are sent certified over several months. Unless of course they refused to sign for them or didn’t pick them up at the post office.

  32. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Suz, I am not saddened at all by this news. The Anthonys have chosen not to work. There are other families with children in jail that continue on with their lives no matter the difficulties. How much did that cruise cost? Could they have instead used the money to pay some of this? The pressure is going to get worse for the Anthonys, it would be nice for Caylee if enough pressure built that someone would finally need to talk.
where will they go, what apartment building or condo would want to rent to them with the media following them and how that would impact the neighbors, plus they have two dogs. Nope, I am not sad at all. If they were drawing money from the foundation, why wasn’t it used to pay for some of the mortgage?

  33. chica says:

    Suz
I dont have joy in hearing about them loosing their home either. I hear ya It is sad and maybe I should say it couldnt of happened to a better couple. my thoughts have changed regarding all the bitterness and hatred I felt for them. I renewed my commitment with god this week. I had been going thru some difficult times in my life and have asked god to remove all my bitterness and negative attitude towards people. I dont want revenge. I still want justice for caylee but it wont come until we take it to god in prayer and ask him to handle it. We tie his hands. These people are very tormented and are their own worst enemies. They are the ones that will live the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they disrespected caylee. They have a large cross to carry only they know what happened.
The bible says what does it profit a man to win the whole world and loose his soul. I still think casey should be held accountable for her actiona, her parents prosecuted for their part in it. But I take this bitter heart of mine and ask god to use it to help others and to pray fevrently that Justice is served to anyone that took part in caylees death and cover up.

Judge Rodriguez seems to have special concerns of the plaintiff’s case delving into areas that could overlap the capital case and when he set the June trial date, there was still the possibility that the capital case would be set for the same summer. Now that the capital case has been pushed back to a practical date of May 2011, with speculation that this could be delayed a further year until 2012, what options does Judge Rodriguez have, to allow the civil trial to be delayed until after the criminal case takes place? And will the need for civil action be as important two years down the road?

Will the June jury pretrial date likely go ahead as planned? If not, what course could Morgan and Morgan take to prevent an endless delay?

Also, Casey has a new attorney for the civil case, one with specialties in business and the construction trade. Is this woman attorney looking for media attention to promote her move into new areas of litigation? Is she one who will work pro-bono for the pro-motion!?

  40. Pamela says:

I also got a kick out of Conway’s statement that the cruise was preplanned and only cost around $300.00 per person. I live in Orlando, and have cruised many many times, I’ve never cruised for $300.00 by the time you add on taxes and port fees, but even so, you spend money on a cruise vacation also. If you are behind in your mortgage, you cancel the cruise. Even the effort back then of $2,000.00 would have been helpful. The Anthony’s are grifter’s and I wouldn’t be surprised if they stockpiled some money and are purposfully letting this home go. It can’t be pleasant to live there with the idea’s that Caylee was killed and possibly buried at the house. They would also be setting themselves up the Zenaida’s lawsuit, if they can claim no assets. That doesn’t mean the foundation doesn’t have assets. This is their first go round with a foreclosure either, they lost their home in Ohio, that’s why the Florida home was in Cindy’s name only, well, that and possibly her knowing Georgie would mtg and remtg the house for his debts. How can you own a home for over 21 years, and owe more than 20% you paid for it. No one in that family can make a responsible decision.
Chica, what you said was very moving….I hope what stress your going thru ends. And I too believe that being involved in this case is very different from being emotionally involved in the Anthony’s outcome. No one gains from bitterness. Karma is coming for the Anthony’s, we don’t have to worry one little bit about it. I think this is the beginning of their “reaping” what you sow. They put Caylee aside a long time ago, and now Karma is showing them that they must pay for their irresponsiblities and lack of care for Caylee

  41. Kleat says:

suz, I agree, losing a home is just sad. How much did the extra media hype ala Baez plans, push the grandparents into a bad position, yes they are adults, could make decisions about their roles to hype media, especially Cindy in those early days. All this added up to job difficulties, added stress of attacks on their behaviour all on top of a missing baby, and charged daughter.

I can’t help but think that had a different lawyer, different tactics, this would have caused less sensation and more control over the media and public excesses. Baez wanted the most hype for the most media dollars to pay his grand case defense.

And mistakes by Cindy, to want full financial control vs her husband, who had a good career path at one time. George could have moved on in and up to a non-street, non highway patrol job, into investigations, or some other less dangerous job and had a fulfilling career. Much of this control was taken from him, even given over to Lee. Had the two parents shared the home, there would be much less chance of them losing it. The payments seem quite low for three adults to cover and it is a 4 bedroom home– put that 20 (or even half) grand 48 HRS payment and pay ahead, for somewhere to live. Maybe Lee can take over for himself and wife.

Dill pickles, bread and butter pickles, sweet pickles, pickled beets (sans cloves thank you), pickled red cabbage, picked onions, pickled olives, pickled sweet summer relish, picked hamburger relish, pickled mustard pickle, have been in a pickle, have been known to get out of a pickle, bumbled Peter piper and his peck of pickled peppers tongue twister.

Hey Dave, pickles are great! Not that I’d want to be called one, but hey, they do add a lot of flavour, even depth to a dish (devilled ham, roast beef sandwiches), just like a great Marinade!

Dave asserts that the Anthony’s were not the recipient of the 200 grand and that ABC never paid the 200 grand. Got it. The Globe, Casey and her lawyer did the dealing on that, and whatever funds they got for those photos, didn’t seem to help the grandparents much. Cruise dollars aside.

Keep up the great blog, Dave, and don’t take pickles off your shopping list!! ;)

  43. Muse says:

    I’m with Ragdoll @11:14 AM.

Something is not right about the timing and “qu’elle surprise” of the foreclosure. For starters, nine months deliquency is a very long timeline before a bank takes foreclosure action. There is no way the Anthony’s could be surprised by this. Banks are vigilant about staying on top of serious deliquencies and the Anthony’s would have had to be working something out with the bank, possibly trying to sell the home, before it went into foreclosure. No, this is tied to a bigger strategy in the leaky boat the defense fund is cruising – can Casey now be declared indigent?

They should cringe at blaming their financial woes on the death of Caylee. Their problems started way before, and in fact, it is not Caylee, but themselves and Casey they should be blaming

  44. TandT says:

Just a few comments that I would like to make. The national enquirer is not really known to be an outstanding magazine that is full of truths in fact quite the opposite. It would be nice if the story were true, but why would they be privy to this information that no one else has? Who would Casey have been talking to? Her attorney? Lots of unanswered questions and I admit it would be great if this were all true, I would not bet that it is. I would think information of that nature would have come out a long time ago had it been true.

As far as the foreclosure on the A’s home, well I don’t think it came as a surprise to them at all. I feel it was their intention all along to let it go into foreclosure, it’s not like anyone would have bought it if it were on the market. Why spend money on house payments if you have no intention of staying there? I also have no sympathy for them as far as the foreclosure, they could have made payments etc instead of going on vacations and cosmetic surgeries etc. Maybe they have a new home already picked out. They know if their grand daughter was murdered in that home or not, my guess is they didn’t want the media attention of selling the home, or detective, nosey people roaming around the home looking for blood stains etc, what better way to get rid of it than to let it go into foreclosure, that will take a while to re sell etc. They aren’t the smartest people in the word, but they aren’t so stupid that they did not know this would occur when you don’t make a payment for 9
    months.

Hey- that’s one way to not let a jury tour a crime scene.

That National Enquirer story is a bunch of BS. I have to run now but if interested see what I posted on MarinadeDave latest story “Where’d the millions go”

  46. Kleat says:

Sapphire, I think the nat. enquirer ‘celeb article’ is crap. First, look, there is NO date of publication (says ‘breaking news’ but that could be last year, this year, or anytime in between. Then, there’s this complete fabrication of what Casey had to say (NOT).
    ———————–
    quote:
“Casey said she was able to drive her car into the wooded area about a half-mile from her Florida home near a school,” a source close to the case disclosed.

“Then she said, ‘When I got out of the car, I tripped over these bricks.’ She said she buried Caylee’s body nearby, and it was about 80 feet from the road.”
    ————————

This shows how idiotic the article is, and it’s just meant to sell rags, not give facts. First, Casey could NOT drive her car into the wooded area. She may have driven onto the grassy boulevard, but it’s a drop down into the woods, she would get stuck, period.

Second, if you are dumping a body, you don’t stop to count bricks that you happen to trip over. And when do you dump a body? In broad daylight when you can count bricks?

Third, the body was NOT buried. Period.

    Who buys this crap?

  47. Kleat says:

Oh yeah, the 80 feet thing– sure– the body was 80 feet from the road. No wonder no one signs these articles.

‘Documents show the couple owes between $50,001 and $249,999.’

Is this a guesstimate? It’s a bit of a gap between the 2 numbers.
Maybe like Cayce dropped Caylee off at the Nanny’s between 9 -1 lol???
