Charlottesville, VA– On the evening of one of the most anticipated musical events of her young 20 years, Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, disappeared from the Metallica Concert at JPJ on October 17, 2009. After months of investigative efforts involving four different law enforcement jurisdictions, Morgan’s skeletal remains were found by Anchorage Farm owner David Bass on January 26, 2010.

Upon the recovery of Morgans remains, many parallels of her life reflected her love of the musical community in general, but also, the surrounding venues she attended previously, such as bonnarooallgood, the rooster walk, and floydfest. Bamboozler Charlottesville is rife with heritage, musical talent, eclectic artisans and those wanting to be a part of it, nightly, across the vast bucolic landscape. As a tribute to Morgan Harrington’s love of the Indi music scene, blinkoncrime.com will explore some of the culture and artists she embraced.

“How could so many people say they saw her HH if they didn’t see her get in to a car?” (alexandra)

I think it was Observer who pointed out a few months ago it only takes about 15 seconds to get into a car. Witnesses who saw her hitchhiking might have been driving by (as opposed to walking by). This also would only take about 15 seconds, maybe less—to drive along, notice a hitchhiker and drive past as she fades from the rearview mirror.

It comes down to a very small window of time—the person who picked up her had the unfair good luck of not being noticed.

To add to Phyl’s above post….

    From http://www.newsplex.com/home/headlines/69248817.html

Authorities were seen searching near the Comfort Inn in Pantops. They combed the wooded area along the entrance ramp onto Interstate 64. The Comfort Inn is the same hotel police targeted in a search on October 24, when someone said they saw Morgan sitting in a truck. That tip turned out to be a false alarm.

Police also searched the wooded areas behind State Farm on Pantops. They brought a police dog and several agencies were present.

  4. Judi says:

I hope these reports were false tips, otherwise that could mean poor Morgan was held for a few days, which I really hope was not the case.

  5. Judi says:

Police really did concentrate on the Pantops area. Must have been for a reason…

Police and a K-9 unit spent several hours searching through storage units at the construction site for the new Martha Jefferson Hospital, looking for anything that would lead them to the 20-year old Virginia Tech student.

    - Do we have confirmation of a possible search of Bass’ farm? i may have missed it. If so, could explain the fire recall to the house fire. Perhaps a POI tied to house. (not suggesting residents)

-speaking of the fire, has anyone asked a fireman friend about the scenario of so many units be recalled hours later? Is timeline of Bass’ phone call off? Or SOP in certain cases to return?

    - re: post by suz :( March 14, 2010 at 9:39 pm) describing Morgans possible actions… Your description to me sound like a case of being very upset at what a ‘friend’ may have said. Remember the cryptic “We wouldn’t have done it if we didn’t think it would be ok”. Her actions could be those of someone very sensitive that was feeling betrayed.

-to locals getting aggravated at their names being thrown around: Talk to LE about anything you know or suspect. End this and we’ll stop. It could be your daughter/friend next.

-Focusing on the end – the brutality and the farm. Normally controlled violence/aggression that escalated due to a trigger. He enjoyed it and ‘knowing’ the place he left her gave him continued control. Middle of the woods would’ve been fine for anyone, but not him. But now LE is in control. Wonder how that sets with him? Jealous much? Aggravated lately?

  7. mosaic says:

Phyl—thanks for the feedback in regards to my comment, “Someone who randomly picks up a hitchhiker is markedly different (and falls under a different profile) than someone who grabs a woman in a blitz attack.”

You replied, “I’m not so sure this is true. I would think they would do whatever works. Bundy was quite the creative chameleon.”

Yes, if the motive is to search out a victim to murder, said criminal would do whatever works. But let’s say Morgan’s killer did not originally intend to murder someone that evening. Let’s say he is indeed a first-time murderer and after he picked up Morgan things escalated in some way that resulted in her brutal murder.

The profile of this type of offender is different than a “search to kill” sort of offender, like Bundy. Both are murderers, yes, but to backtrack and find them this person I think we’d be looking at two different motives and characteristics.

That is why I think the opinion we each take on the hitchhiking could affect how we profile the perp. If we accept that she was hitchhiking then we allow the possibility that the murder might have been the result of an escalation of events after she was picked up. This could point to someone who was ripe for this type of extreme and violent act but was not out that evening with the intent of committing murder.

If on the other hand we do not accept the HHing then it narrows our perp options (unduly so). If she got into a car but was *not* hitchhiking it could mean she was attacked in a blitz style (dragged into a car). Someone who commits a blitz style attack is markedly different in that it strongly suggests someone with a brazen attitude. That is no small crime driving by and grabbing a girl. I would expect that person to have a long rap sheet. If we don’t accept the HHing it might cause us to look at the wrong type of perpetrator.

Total Amateur—thank you for your sincere and honest post describing your gut feelings about the HHing. As they say, always trust your gut. It goes without saying, you’re a treasure on this board.

    Thanks guys.
I have to head out for work and won’t be home until 9 or so. If you are at a dead end and feel frustrated, I suggest searching the web for any post about something “suspicious” in that area in the suggested time frame. If nothing, search other time frames/music events. With so many people going to the internet to vent these days. They may be afraid to go to the police, or think that they were just overreacting. I’d bet there are a lot of clues right at our fingertips. Search boards, blogs, facebook, myspace, anything!!!! Close your eyes and think of how you’d describe seeing something strange and disturbing and search that phrase + JPJ Arena, UVA, etc. Anything helps at this point. ex: “some guy was following her” + “suspicious vehicle” + “creepy guy” + “stalker type”, etc. You linear thinkers are probably rolling your eyes, but you ADD types know what I’m throwing down. LOL

    I gotcha Phyl!!

  9. Cat says:

I firmly believe the offender(s) have, at the very least, a history of violent tendencies, most likely sexual in nature (although a sexual assault against Morgan has not been disclosed, but the scenario is likely). The act of murder, in a sexually motivated crime, is a “graduated” type of act, preceded by other violent acts. Killing the victim, to eliminate the accuser, is one likely scenario if the offender and the victim know one another. I don’t, however, think that ruling out a stranger in this situation is sensible, as the location of the body would indicate this may have been a preplanned event (not against Morgan specifically, but some poor soul), someone who may have believed AF would be an excellent place to hide a body if needed.

I agree, and even if you go with possible “stranger”(s) and “good place to hide a body” theory, aren’t you also then saying we have a dangerous escalation situation?

BLIKNK – Do we know if there is a specific reason, othan than that VA does not typically speak openly about active cases, that LE is keeping SO closed mouth on this if it is believed that releasing the info would advance the case instantly?

I think it is a combination of their long established protocol, and I think that the fact that there were 4 agencies involved initially and some things were not handled correctly and speaking out would mean opening up the floor for those questions.

In this case, I respectfully disagree with their decision to withhold some of the information they have.

Alexandra! First thing I said today: “Beware the Ides of March.”

We love love love Chris Farley in this house. We went for a hike down by the river last week, and it appears I still cannot say “down by the river” in my normal voice.

You may freely tease me for circular motion after reading the following (I read and watched Floydfest videos about hooping by the beautiful and talented acquaintance of CB, Spiral, yesterday, so perhaps that set me to spinning … she’s enough of an inspiration that I want to buy one of her hoops):

I woke up feeling perturbed for the umpteenth time about DG’s acct of seeing Morgan … maybe I was trying to sort that in my dreams. I know I repeatedly say this, but something rings so false about that story of Morgan’s saying she did not know who the opening acts were and then saying “Who cares, we’re here to see Metallica, right?” I know he is in NJ, but have we ever tried to track his friends still living in the C’ville area? He was with his brother, a cousin, and a friend, according to accts.

In going back to early articles quoting him, I also noted the following, which I had forgotten:

    From http://www.readthehook.com/stories/2009/10/29/cover-findMorgan-E.aspx :

Rader also confirmed– in a stunning parallel to the 1985 disappearance of never-found UVA student Pat Collins– that the Sunday morning discovery of Harrington’s purse didn’t immediately launch a criminal investigation. “It originally was handled as a recovered property report,” said Rader.

My questions, and sincere apologies if we resolved these ages ago (I tried to look but didn’t see any strong resolution):

    (1) With that “recovered property” terminology, might that mean they thought it was resolution to the stolen purse report of the night before? (Obviously they could trace those stolen property calls.) Or do they use that same term for any old “found” item that was not reported missing? Was LE ever asked to clarify that point? It’s likely neither here nor there at this point, but it makes me wonder again about deliberate efforts to mislead. That would only compute if this were a premeditated crime, and I tend not to believe that.

Regardless: The much-missed wpgmouse posted the incident report, and remember we don’t know for sure it pertains to Morgan’s purse at all (c’mon, LE, can’t you throw us that much by now?). My take is the report says call was made at 9:30, and caller claimed purse was taken b/n 5:38 and 5:55. Who made that 9:30 call, and when was the case suspended? Possibly the next morning, when Morgan’s purse was found?

LARCENY FROM VEHICLE The Park 200901369/22
Reported purse and contents stolen from vehicle
    RPT: 2130 10-17-09
    OCC: 1738 10-17-09 to 1755 10-17-09
    CASE STATUS: Suspended
    http://www.virginia.edu/uvapolice/reports.html

    (2) Why, later, did we get reports that LE phoned the Harringtons upon finding the purse? Contradictory info in this article states that Dan Harrington only found out about the purse after calling the friends after noon. Was there an official correction that I missed?

Again, apologies if we’ve been over these two points, and Dave Gardner’s local contacts, before. I am trying to do a “refresh.”

  14. Georgie says:

Yoshi, thanks for clearing up the “cook note” situation, and belleboyd, sorry for your post getting banned by B. I didn’t find BOC until maybe a month after Morgan’s disappearance, so I never saw that note before and didn’t remember it being discussed on here, and when I happened upon it the other day, it sorta threw me for a loop.

B, apologies to you as well, but I plead ignorant in this particular instance, had no idea who wrote it….

And I think I’m going back to my initial thoughts on this whole thing. Morgan and friends were partying/tailgaiting before the concert, someone had their eye on Morgan from the get-go, and kept tabs on her during the concert. This person may have known her, not personally, but from other music venues, and had a “crush” on her. Probably knew from facebook she would be there (btw, facebook is starting to creep me out a little, I’ll explain later). He may have put something in her drink, possibly offered to get it for her since she was underage. Followed her outside, watched as she made her way around the parking lot, interacting with BB players, and then “helped her out” by giving her a ride. I do think this might be a stalker-type situation.

Regarding facebook, I am pretty careful on there, keep everything private and limited to friends only. The other day I had a friend request from a very attractive blonde woman, so I figured she was a friend of a friend, but after researching a bit, realized she wasn’t. I’m naturally suspicious, so upon further investigation, I found out she/he had just started this account, nothing on the wall except “so and so is now friends with…” Within a few hours her friend list went from 23 to 58, and by the end of the day, it was up to 99. They were using the same name (unusual name) as a 20 year old kid whose fb profile was a little scary. I accepted the friend request for just enough time to see if I could get any more info, and lo and behold, she/he had a video linked, which I certainly did not click on. The next day the account was deleted. I have no idea who this person was, how they got my name, or what they were up to, but just be careful on there, as I’m sure you guys already know.

localcvillegirl- Don’t worry about it. Its all good. Your posts and opinions are well-written and important, especially considering you are a local. You have the right to a differing opinion, and I for one, welcome that. One of the biggest reasons I’ve hung around on this board is because people for the most part seem to be able to have a healthy, intelligent debate over differences of opinion. I actually WANT people to disagree with me, or at least explain why they believe this or that- that is the point of debate. IMHO, debate deepens your perspective and understanding of an issue. Keep posting!

J2K- Amateur Night- thats awesome! I wish I would have thought of that when I coined my moniker. I reserve the right to use that in future posts. lmao

    localcvillegirl – re: um, “azz-kicking”…?

I’m perplexed as to where your perception came from that in answering a question *you* brought up about my view of the case, you felt I was bullying you, lcg:

(lcg to total amateur:) “… It was my azz she meant to kick yesterday TA, not your’s. …J2K sorry that you felt you need to jump on what I said. My mistake. And I honestly don’t feel like LE ‘has no clue,’ what I meant to infer was that it’s not very publicly apparent that they have this case all sewn up, at least here in town. … I don’t think as analytically as you do J2K, you’re a hard woman to have a conversation with…”

Whoa, dude. Number one, I essentially have “conversations” for a living, so it’s not often I hear that; ’twas a bit jarring to be painted in such as broad negative stroke. Number two, here is what I replied to:

“…I too love J2K and Observer, but wonder how they can always be so sure about their theory when it seems that even LE has no clue. There isn’t a whole lot about this case that makes sense, so everything is in until it’s out.”

    …with this:

(me to TA/lcg yesterday:) “I don’t think it’s quite accurate to say that LE doesn’t seem to have much of a clue as to what happened. LE has been pretty clear on their determination of what occurred between the time MH exited the arena and was last seen on Copeley Road appearing to hitch-hike, subsequently disappearing into the night around 9:30 p.m. …

“… For LE to release their agreed-upon deduction that she was trying to flag down a ride gives the assertion heavy weight in that it closes the door on other possibilities. I simply can’t see investigators handicapping their accrual of leads this way, so they must have heard enough independent and believable accounts from witnesses – coupled with the bloodhound trail that ended on that bridge – to convince them MH indeed departed from the area in a vehicle that stopped for her on or off Copeley Road.”

How is this a “beatdown” of what you said? You don’t have to explain your sentiments, localcvillegirl, but you posed a question pertaining to me and my perceptions, which I answered as best I could, detailing exactly why I feel more certain about some aspects of the case than others. Just because I don’t agree with you does not mean I’m being difficult or showing you disrespect, and I’m slightly offended by the implication, fwiw.

(Sorry, folks – just had to get that off my chest before I could *delicately* join the conversation, despite how painful it seems to be for some of you to interact with me… I’ll try to put on my kid-gloves and be more meek/submissive henceforth, if it pleases the court.)

anotherB – re: The Sausage Factory (March 14, 8:49 p.m.)

Sounds like you’ve got some first-hand experience with the makings of live music and the significant amount of time it takes to set-up/play/breakdown a show – even at a small local venue. Good points all around.

    Observer – re: “bailiwick” (March 14, 8:39 p.m.)

Thank you for the new word, O – you consistently best my nerd-approved “A.Word.A.Day” subscription!

(In context, Observer noted:) “… With reference to (paraphrased quoting in the media), I (admittedly) tend to be a bit anal about quotes; that is, I tend to want to read verbatim what an individual stated rather than read the interpretation of a reporter.
[No offense intended, J2K, as I think this is your baliwick, no?]”

Indeed. But I appreciate your standards regardless, and you should expect nothing less than objective, clutter-free, accurate reporting – not analysis or personal interpretation – from journalists covering this case.

Observer and Yoshi -Speculating is starting to get me down- I wish there were more facts to go on- You both made some excellent points- About the HH – I don’t know if Morgan was HH or not- but, I question it- and so many other witness accounts daily-

J2K – Are you saying its more funny for me to be Spider? LOL

I have learned with this case that I truly value the work of all faucets of LE- I can not always be objective- I would not make a good private eye- detective-crime journalist- But my hat is off to all those that can-

To everyone that engaged with me in the debate yesterday- sadly willingly or not- I want to say thanks for debating an issue with me that I hold dear to my heart-and I am sorry to drag you into a debate-
My husband warns me that not all people want to join in a debate- they just want to make sure that their opinions are justified and their points are heard, understood, and that their points are seen as valid.

Re reading my posts this morning- I may have been too gung ho on getting my points across and may not have recognized the validity and importance of what others were saying- I want to apologize if I seemed too eager to get my point across-and if it seemed as though I wasn’t hearing yours. In no way do I believe anyone is saying music killed Morgan-

NO ONE here should think that is what was being conveyed-

So I want everyone to know I agree, there may be something to Morgans killers feeding off the images and lyrics of the music- Obviously whomever took Morgan’s life is twisted and I can most definitely see how this sick person would eat up the darkness, the beat and the words of a band or song, not to mention the gruesomeness of the bands websites-coverart ect- I agree also that everyone in our society is becoming desensitized to violence. I agree there is no room for debate on this matter. I also agree there is such a thing as over the top-

Thanks for reading this apology of sorts for perhaps going over the top myself in my posts- clearly not my intention

I stopped posting a month or so ago (except for a few posts last week) for a number of reasons, one being that I was loosing grip on what was reality and what was rumor about Morgan’s case. In response to Acho’s question about discovery of the purse, I believe the information about the purse was updated later (could be just something I read, but I think the following came from VSP.) Her purse was found Sunday morning and turned in to UVaPD. Not realizing this was anything but a case of a lost purse, LE called Dr. Harrington (I wonder why the call was made to Dr. Harrington rather than Morgan’s home. Guess it could be that her identification still listed her parents’ address.) When Dr. Harrington got the call, he called her apartment and woke her roommate (Amy?.) This was when he learned Morgan had not returned home from the concert. By that time she had been missing for about 15 hours without anyone realizing a nightmare was about to begin for her family. Dr. Harrington then filed a missing person’s report. If I remember correctly, it was reported later, perhaps by either Dr. Harrinton or Mrs. Harrington, or maybe VSP, that following Dr. Harrington’s call Amy drove Morgan’s car from their apartment to the Harringtons and picked up her car. Her car had been left at the Harringtons when she met Morgan on Saturday for the trip to the concert. Again, I believe what I’ve written has been confirmed by VSP, but if not, I do apologize to Acho. In my job, I have to deal in facts, guess that’s the reason I have very little ability to envision different scenarios as to what might have happened to this young woman.

    ahem ahemm -

    er, blink -

please your attention? i was just directed to the helpfindmorgan site where i saw you say you held a post of mine for naming someone. i beg to differ. you have called me out for being too obtuse, if anything.

i have been extremely careful to use initials and once even chose not to elaborate on a name when you asked for clarification. it has pained me to see other posters here latch on to older posts where i used initials and they then use a full name and attribute it to me. one poster even said a couple of times something like “that family that keekee often refers to”. wha??? really, if you can find the post you held where i named someone, i would love to know when it was because i am at a loss.

also, there have been numerous times when i have posted in response to anyone thinking i have named or implied a band member being a bad guy. the word “peripheral” is one i have been using since the gitgo.
even the fact that i found a photo of a gig poster that turned out to be the incorrect year did not dissuade me from posing a similar scenario with a different band on the same night as the metallica concert. others have followed suit which led to discovery of cb concert by someone whoever. that is exactly how we all move forward and build on each other’s research in hopes of minimizing the amount of tail chasing here.

again, one of my posts stated most people in charlottesville are innocent. true that. please don’t say i named someone when i did not. if i did and my memory is faulty, my bad. i have admitted being wrong in the past and i certainly will again, but i do not llike being called out for something i don’t think i did. let me tell you…there have been a couple of times you’ve snapped at me that i just did not get…like the family tree thing. oh, well. it’s all good until you attribute something untrue to me. not cool.

i don’t know who said i should have credit for your article…it was no one i know and i have not asked you for credit for anything. my research has led me to land conservation documents, fest participants, videos, etc etc and it is my honor to work with everyone else on here. it is the concerted effort of all of us that hopefully can help even a little. really i want to do good work in morgan’s honor.

First of all, keekee, I have never “snapped” on you. If you feel I have treated you disrespectfully, that would sadden me, and I would certainly apologize. On the issue of initials, if people following the case are familiar, it is the same as using the name as far as my liability in posting it goes, but I am happy to review-

Second of all, would you be so kind as to provide a link to the post your referring to that you have taken offense to so that we might discuss it in context?

In terms of credit for posts, everyone has that by virtue of their posts on here in there name, so I am not really sure what the issue is. I am aware that there are a few folks that are not a fan of this site and some of our posters and if your looking for the answer don’t bother, there isn’t one, I have already asked.

They just feel like for their own reasons; just a caution.

I just want to make a statement on the speculation as to whether Morgan knew her killer/s or not. Whether or not she knew him/them, this does not for one second, minimize the fact that a killer is still out there.

If the killer knew Morgan, I am 100% certain that this person knows other people. Does that make those people more vunerable? I don’t know, but murder is murder people. Let’s not minimize the threat this person/persons are to society.

  34. justiceformorgan says:

Speaking of the purse, I’ve never felt the purse was “brought back” to the parking lot by the BG. However, if the purse was dropped in the lot by Morgan prior to the concert ending, it seems highly unlikely it would not have been found until the next morning (it is my understanding the purse was found the morning after the concert but please correct me if I am wrong). I would think there would have been too many people returning to the lot after the concert for the purse not to have been found that evening.

Does anyone know if anything was missing from the purse? And, does anyone know who found the purse? Also, I wonder if the person who found the purse is the person who gave the purse to police or if the person who found the purse gave it to arena security, or another third party, who then gave it to police.

J2K, regarding your observation, “For LE to release their agreed-upon deduction that she was trying to flag down a ride gives the assertion heavy weight in that it closes the door on other possibilities.

I have never believed Morgan was hitchhiking however after reading your thoughts, I’ve changed my mind about that. You made some excellent points that leave me thinking it was more likely she was hitchhiking than not. When you used the term “flag down”, were you using that term in the context of the usual type of hitchhiking or more of a “please stop and help me” type of hitchhiking?

  35. keekee says:

i appreciate your response blink –

what i object to is your response to “powers1980″ asking if you gave me credit for the cb and music scene article. again, i could give 2 shakes about credit from you. that is not why i have been here. your response to said poster included some irrelevant piece of info about holding a post of mine because it was inappropriate and that you spoke to his family. wha? so what. what does that have to do with his post? nuthin. it seems like you were trying to minimize my contributions. reread what you wrote. it had nothing to do with his post…plus the fact that i have no memory of you holding one of my posts for that reason. that said, even if that were the case, why bring that up??? it struck me as odd and squirmy…and, frankly, beneath you.

    Keekee-
I have already asked you for the link to the post your referring to, in the interest of full disclosure, people deserve to see in context, what your referring to, and not your interpretation. Link please.

I did not get any information in that article from Keekee, so again it would appear you do not know what your talking about. I held a post from Keekee because she named someone I felt had no relevance, and still do not, after speaking with his family.

The editor credit belongs to Elizabeth Morton on this one, who btw is very local, so I would sincerely appreciate it if the baseless allegations could stop and the focus be on Morgan.

Lastly, I felt visiting here, as I was invited to do, would be a way of extending some of my resources. Clearly you are all set and I look forward to the contributions and new developments coming from the good posters here.

    B

    is this what you wanted?

    Yes, and thank you.

Now, please note the poster/attack dog was WRONG in the first place.

SHE NAMED YOU AS A SOURCE . I did not bring you into the conversation. Not me. Do you see that now?

I was referring to the initials in a post of yours, completely unrelated to the article, and the inference was that I am responsible with what I elect to post, to the enth degree. It was about the integrity of what I allow here, not you personally, I do agree that you are sound when posting about people, but again, it is my job and my liability frankly, ultimately.

Lastly, everyone is an important contributor here in their posts, and for someone to insinuate that I am the web equivalent of a catchers mitt clearly has no experience in this area , and since I spend 14-18 hours a day at it, unless the next person slamming me would like to drop off their resume so I can visit their work and judge their accomplishments I am done posting negative energy here.

This is a NATIONAL news site focused on true crime, not a forum where anonymous people can post under multiple hats and multiple proxies. IE: I am responsible for the integrity of my content. I cover multiple cases which deserve my focus and my attention.

With much respect, this is petty bullshit and I have lost all patience for it.

I recommend Sun Salutations for all (except me, not allowed yet) and let’s stop taking out our impatience that we are stalling out on one another and figure out the damn trap door to the next level.

This is about Morgan Harrington. Not egos.

I am in the business of advocacy.

I believe that allowing commenting here progresses interests and leads in the cases I cover, it is for that reason I have maintained the format although it has quadrupled my personal work load.

    That said, who’s in?

justiceformorgan – re: HH (March 15, 2010 at 6:28 pm)

Thank you for reading and considering my post/argument, jfm – that means a lot. As far as what I meant by the term “flag down,” I intended it to illustrate basic hitchhiking (I try to avoid redundant prose, that’s all). Several months ago, during a discussion on HH, it was proposed that perhaps witnesses mistook MH fleeing from someone and trying to wave down help with hitching for a ride, so your question makes sense.

I recall not being able to envision a scenario where a young woman frantic for assistance could be mistaken for someone walking along a sidewalk with her thumb out (i.e., hitchhiking), and that is the term used by LE, which must have been their perception after interviewing enough independent witnesses. While it may have seemed out of character, Rader/Geller – in my opinion – tried to bridge this leap in behavior by disclosing that she was intoxicated that night and “not acting rationally.

I think, for me, it just comes down to the fact that LE’s not going to just float out a theory like we often do here… they’re going to release limited pieces of factual information that, with enough help from the public, will – hopefully – form the true picture of events that night, and serve as the foundation for successfully apprehending and prosecuting the offender(s). To me, it would compromise the case for LE to unequivocally state MH was doing a very specific activity the last time she was seen at an exact time in a certain location… when they had reason to believe otherwise, or were unclear as to what she was doing on the bridge when she disappeared.

    J2K-

I changed your hat back, it was your name, I did not know if that was an error.

    I’ll second that, TJ!

Guardian, just like Steve Clark (a gun expert IMHO), I said that I also seriously doubt Eppard was able to keep a grip on the shotgun after discharging it in the manner the cop shoppes say it took place.

It takes one hell of a man to stick a shotgun out the window, drape it across the hood, and maintain possession of it after discharging it one handedly. Even if using the spotlight on the cop shoppe car as a tripod, it’s an amazing accomplishment.

I would love to see video of this Hollywood stunt to disprove the opinion of myself and Steve Clark.

And sadly enough, after having seen the list of those “Officers firing on Eppard”, there’s two in the list I wouldn’t trust as far as I could toss a 90 pound bag of mortar. One of them should have been drummed out of law enforcement a long time ago
