North Garden, VA– Morgan Harrington, the 20 year old fair-haired, radiant beauty, was brutally murdered after disappearing from the John Paul Jones arena the evening of October 17, 2009.

Morgan Bridge

Morgans remains were recovered the morning of January 26, 2010 in a hayfield on Anchorage Farm, owned by David and Nancy Bass.

Since Morgan was found by Mr. Bass that blackest of days in January, there has been rampant speculation about her last hours and how she ended up in the creek bed of total strangers.

A sequence of events and incidents in the days and hours preceding and following the January 26, 2010, discovery of Morgan Harrington’s skeletal remains on Anchorage Farm continues to attract attention from pundits and volunteers dedicated to Morgan’s cause.

Although naysayers point to a lack of a viable connection, and police have disavowed a link, others say emergency services runs to a nearby fire and also other responses which are  not supported by publicly available documentation has led to calls for more complete disclosure to eliminate any connection or chance of prank calls to misdirect or busy first responders.

The editors of www.blinkoncrime.com present  a series of events occurring in Albemarle County, VA that pose the question:

What the Hell is going on and what does it have to do with Morgan Harrington’s murder?

The Monsoons of Albemarle County …. PD

Ok, maybe I meant “The monsoor”. Karl Monsoor that is.

Former Officer Karl Monsoor had been tugging on the shirtail of ACPD for years before he finally left with pocketfuls of sunshine. Almost 500 G’s.

It is not my intention to be glib, it is my intention to say that as one of the youngest police departments in the country, enacted in 1983, this tank needed algeacide before this past March.

Death By Cop.. January 1, 2010

Colby Eppard driver seatColby Eppard, described by some as a cross between Gomer Pyle and cool hand luke, had the rawest of deals growing up in Greene County.

According to his foster-mommy-aunt, Tammy Harlow Cox, Colby was hit by a car at a very young age and suffered a brain injury that apparently served to shape his future of home upheavel and juvenile detention facilities.

Ms. Cox, to whom Colby Eppard was entrusted for a time as a foster parent, is no stranger to the judicial system. Tammy was arrested for admittedly having sex with 3 High School seniors athletes on the Varsity Football Team, where her own sons attended. The same school Colby elected to leave without his diploma.

Colby’s family recalls better times, and I don’t think anyone believes this is the last we have heard of this case.

Specifically under VA statute, Greene County Captain Randall Snead was out of his jurisdiction, both when he was called about Colby stealing the patrol car and the fact that he was in North Garden, Albemarle County, looking for it. It would seem the Greene County Roster could accommodate a deputy vs. a captain to respond, no?  Keep in mind, EVERY responding officer was put on desk duty pending the investigation, through at least February 9th, 2010.

While the attorney for the Commonwealth, Denise Lunsford has cleared all officers from all participating counties involved, none of the dash cams have been released despite requests through The Freedom of Information Act..

According to Ms. Lunsford, in an incident that spanned almost 70 miles and over 2 and a half hours where traffic was rerouted and stringers were used, Colby Eppard was allegedly wielding the 20 gauge Greene County Issue out the windows, not one LEO attempted to engage or respond to Eppard in an effort to get him to pull over, or negotiate his surrender at any time.

In fact, according to statements from Snead, Albemarle Deputies Fields and Marden, they were all in place on the south junction of 20 “in the event” he went that way, yet, they did not block traffic until after the stinger caused Eppard to crash.

My biggest question regarding this incident is: Did anyone ask Colby Eppard why he would take the truck and 2 rifles on New Years day ending up in Albemarle County?

Was it related to a New Years Eve occurrance of a friend, family member or associate of his? After Sgt. Hutchinson loses Eppard near the Nelson line, the next time he is seen is parked on Green Creek Rd, back in Albemarle.

What route did he take from 29 South to end up there? Was he seeking Red Hill Road where the overdose call came in to EMS the night before?

By all accounts he was a troubled young man with challenges throughout his young 18 years.

Additionally corroborated by those that knew him, he was never violent to anyone. There were over 6 Law Enforcement Officers from 4 different jurisdictions this man encountered before he hit just below Carters Bridge; 14 by the time the stolen vehicle ended up in the ditch.

Not one of them spoke or attempted to speak to Colby Wade Eppard at anytime he was on the police radio for over 2 hours. Was there an order given not to?

How is it that not one officer responded to Eppards threats, which were even being monitored by the media at this point in an effort to have a peaceful result to this situation?

Did Eppard have a cell phone with him and have the records been checked?

Cort EppardDid he call anyone, like Amber Rogers, his off-again girlfriend of 3 years? His brother Courtney or any of his friends?

In the preliminary release by the Virginia State Police, it stated Eppard returned to his crashed 2006 Ford Ranger truck prior to stealing the unmarked Green Cty car. If he were attempting to have a police stand off, why would he not take the two rifles he brought with him? He left his guns behind.

It also states in the report that Eppard is seen on the video from the STOLEN police car retrieving the shotgun from the trunk and loading it, how is that possible considering all the cameras are dash mounted?

Can someone explain to me how the officers have been cleared, but the footage of  both Eppards actions and their responses, the very evidence of the incident cannot be released? One of the officers involved, Caleb Marden, was fired for reasons nobody is willing to comment on.

There is only ONE way that is legal; if is part of an ONGOING investigation.

So what investigation is it an active part of?

(Editors note: If Mr. Eppard put ANYONE’s safety at risk through his actions, in the end, I say what happened to him was done to protect others, which I support. That said, as it was not so long ago a Virginia Conservation Officer was indicted for the involuntary manslaughter of a 16 year old kid whose girlfriend he was trying to grab out of his moving car, and later had the charges dismissed, I think it is worthy of conversation.)

Byrd Watching DungSmoke – January 22, 2010

Dung burning

James Byrd Gunn, resident or squatter at 5027 Stoney Point Rd, Barboursville, VA owned by Piedmont Manor Land Trust, was busted for possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver, and possession of a firearm as a felon.

In a SEPERATE arrest  on January 23rd, 2010, Jeremy Manning– Smith Manning Smith(JMS) with the cool  144 acre pad in Keswick, also indicted on 4/5/2010 , may turn to the fivefold plan to help him out. JMS keeps a cool $55K recession-proof wad around for emergencies. Mr. Manning-Smith is a long time composter, although he never really states what he is growing.

Lisa Powers, copperworks and the fivefold planners say burn the dung. They are pals, although I doubt she is securing his bond.

Cash Runs OUT.. January 24th, 2010

Jason Todd Cash, with NO CHARGES OR WARRANTS PENDING allegedly tries to kill a cop when he is stopped in Nelson Cty in a vehicle registered to someone in Buckingham County. Remind you of anyone? He ran from the scene, leaving the vehicle and eluded police on foot.

The vehicle was impounded. He apparently is driving on a revoked license, which county has that occurred in? We will get back to J-money.

NON Garden Party…. January 25th

At approximately 10PM on the evening of January 25, Albemarle County Fire and rescue services responds to a call at the 37 acre farm of award winning gardening and horticulture experts John Sauer and his wife Cathy Clary. It is listed as a tactical incident rescue and as of March 24, 2010 is still an open incident.  What was it? Who or what needed rescuing?

Mr. Sauer is the long-time gardner for Carr’s Hill, the residence of the President of UVA. Carr’s Hill was the former site of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity until 2003 when it was moved by the city to it’s current location on Culbreth. Ms. Clary is a horticulture proffessor at UVA, and most recently taught a home landscaping course which included a field trip the afternoon of Saturday October 17, 2009.

The Sauers are also members of Piedmont Landscaping Association, which is open to anyone in the landscaping field and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.

Interestingly enough, there were several fire alarm activations on the UVA campus on this same day. Faulkner House reported a residential fire around 4:10 am.

Threes Company,  Four is Combustible..Jan 26th

Sutherland Firefd

Sometime after 10PM, the residential fire at 3323 Sutherland Rd breaks out.

This would be the fire that is still an OPEN INCIDENT.

This fire,as you can see, was no curling-iron-left-on.

It allegedly started after the residents were asleep, although they had all apparently packed their belongings and were on a month to month lease, 2 had already moved out.

In fact, according to Peruvian vacationer and dog owner of Blanca, the pit bull that perished in the blaze, he was not aware of the fire until days after the fact because he was with friends in Peru.

Kevin Terlep

Convenient, if you ask me, as he has a previous weed distribution and subsequent traffic charge in December 2009.

Meet new pup to the left. In fairness to fair-weather k9’s of America, he was only asking for dog-sitting, and not on the lease.  Choose your kenneling wisely people.

The residential fire at the 3000 block of Sutherland Rd has some issues. For starters, you have the first press release regarding the possible accidental fire since as far back as 2003 before a cause determination has been made.

Additionally the release itself appears to have missed the fact that approximately 2 hours after the last apparatus departs, there is an additional call back to the property requiring 12 responders within minutes of the discovery of Morgan Harrington’s remains. They may have literally passed each other on Route 29; they definitely would have heard the dispatcher.

Sutherland

The former owner of the Sutherland property is buried on Anchorage Farm. A relative of the current owners has hunted the Anchorage Farm property.

The band in the image on the left is pictured practicing in the Sutherland home.

A firefighter, whose identity blinkoncrime is choosing to withhold, who fought the fire, without sleeping took an impromptu trip to New Jersey with his ..”aunt, uncle, cousin, his cousins uncle and a friend..” at 10:23PM January 27th, driving straight through without stopping and returned to North Garden by 1:45PM January 28th.  Through his own facebook postings, he spends the bulk of his time when he is not volunteering for the North Garden Fire Department at his cousins; a Toco Hill address also listed as the home for a recently released registered sex offender.

Retired Greene Sheriff Takes His Own Life.. January 28

There is no evidence to suggest that William “Willie” Linwood Morris’s suicide has anything in common with the Morgan Harrington’s case directly, with the exception that there are obviously folks that knew him as well as other individuals being discussed. I have spoken with a family member, and an individual who has known him for twenty years and by those accounts Willie was in deep discomfort from the tinnicus he suffered from.

He took care of every detail prior to ending his life behind the barn on his farm in Stanardsville, VA, including withdrawing the cash for his own funeral.

Willie Morris was found by Captain Randall Snead, who was allegedly supposed to be on desk duty until the Eppard case investigation was completed.  According to Commonwealth Attorney Denise Lunsford, that was not completed until February 9, 2010, almost 2 weeks later.

Cash is Busted on a Tip.. March 19

Not long out of Nelson County jail for a non-violent offense, Jason Todd Cash is being held in Albemarle County jail since his arrest around 1am the morning of Friday March 19.

One has to wonder if the tip about where Jmoney was hanging out on Secretary Sand Rd from his kin in Amherst.

Clint Cash, a registered sex offender was arrested in December on a felony parole violation and is facing some heavy time . His wife Donna, had just pled guilty to a misdemeanor the day before the tip came in regarding JT Cash’s whereabouts and received a suspended sentence.

Jason Cash was apprehended with help from Bink, the new Albemarle County k9 when the house he was staying in on Secretary Sands was raided and he attempted to stay hidden inside.

What are Coincidences… What are clues?

The aforementioned volunteer for NGVFD lives in same stretch of Secretary Sands Rd.

Yet another relative of Jason Cash, a registered Sex Offender, shares an employer with the cousin of “volunteer”, and volunteer; specializing in outdoor landscape lighting.

Colby Eppard was stopped in the area of Green Creek Rd that is a large parcel of land owned by  Cash family member.

As far as making allegations in this report, there are none. The investigation of the events contained herein are entirely based on public information and witness accounts.

I have come to the conclusion that while we cannot say specifically which one of the issues discussed directly relate to the murder of Morgan Harrington, a primary or secondary scene integral to the investigation of same, and the hunt for her killer(s), but I do believe the incidents need to explored fully in a public forum.

Lots of good information J2K! With respect to Eppard’s one time foster Mom and others connected to her, on April 6th I posted several links in a lengthy research-filled comment that I think you and other posters/readers may find interesting and/or useful.

Blink, you indicated in one of your replies to one of my follow-ups that the comment would be top-posted when you posted it but I don’t see it yet. If I’ve missed it, can you please direct me to it? I’ll paste the relevant information below.

Blink, in the interest of fairness and transparency, I’d appreciate if you would post this comment in its’ entirety rather than deleting or editing my comment and only showing your reply.

I hope you won’t take offense to this request ~ the only reason I make it is that I’ve felt, when this was done in the past, it has left my comment up for interpretation, and possible misinterpretation, based on your reply, and I’m not comfortable posting if I feel my posts are not going to appear the way I intended them to. I hope you understand.

Notwithstanding the above, I do understand that this is your blog site and it is entirely up to you how you choose to run it.

TY B. Regarding “property issues”, are you saying you think the home could possibly be the primary as I suggested in my comment? If you do, I’m assuming you would be forwarding the info to LE, right?

Not exactly, there is an issue as to property being “in trust”, which makes my research a bit harder-
Absolutely unequivocally, anything that is case specific goes to LE, no exceptions.
I don’t think he is involved in what happened to Morgan though, but I cannot rule out he may have known something about it at this time.

Mom3.0, can you please let me know the date of the initially lost comment of yours? The reason I ask is that I made a comment the morning of April 6th and it hasn’t posted yet. Wondering if my comment was made on the same day as yours. B, I know you said you had to do some research before posting my comment – are you still researching or did something go wrong with some of the April 6th comments?

jfm, I addressed it to you, the truck does not match, and yes, it is going to be posted this week.

OK — I am on briefest of breaks from work — I am going to have to take a month off — line the walls of my house w/ poster board — get a big marker and try to start keeping charts — it’s like the information volcano has finally erupted —

I can’t remember all the names I need to respond to — but I’ll try —

J2K — clink right backatcha — I am really looking forward to what you have to add — which puts pressure on you, I know, but I can’t help it — can’t wait to see what your mind churns up

Blink, oh, dear precious Blink — thank you for sharing your darlin’ girl’s Angel program w/ us — isn’t it just amazing how people who should be focusing on their own pain, put it aside to help those who will come after them — it won’t be today and honestly, probably not for a couple of months, but we have a huge teaching hospital here in Richmond where people come from hours away to receive treatment — maybe we can set up a branch here –

Hummingbird, your posts are always wonderful —

and now I’ve forgotten who else I wanted to name — please forgive me, I read your posts and think they’re great — and that refers to all posters …

But — swirling in the back of my mind is this: Maybe all these local pds and fds, etc. will go out and haul this bad azz in and get an arrest if only to draw the “heat” away from them that Blink is putting on (little pun on “heat” for fire —)

Man, Blink, I’d hate to have you on my trail …

Very well done, all of you Blinkers and Blink —

I told you yesterday we are on the cusp of a Mercury Retrograde and the truth always comes out — We are going to keep applying “the heat” until an arrest is made and damn quick —

oh — this is what I meant to talk about — we don’t know where those damn friends — shout out to “damn friends” — sue me if you think I’m using a term that doesn’t apply to you — Blink knows my name and where to find me — I’d be happy to go one on one w/ you in court — I won’t hold my breath waiting on the lawsuit to arrive, though —
Anyway, we don’t know the physical location of where SS and company were when they received the frantic phone call from the Harringtons wondering where Morgan was — I’ve always believed they never made it back to Harrisonburg and made it no further than Crozet when they then jumped in Morgan’s car and drove “back” to C-vlle to have a little look around — too bad mileage checks weren’t made or cell phones triangulated on that fateful Sunday, the 18th.

Go, Blinkers, Go ! I predict that a BG is going to come forward in the relative near future because until he does, all these other “goings on” are going to rise to the surface — and who the hell is this annoying woman from NJ poking her yankee nose into all our county bizniz, anyway ??? ( is what I bet has been said on more than one occasion by the local po po ! )

Heart you big big time, Blink, et al —

i know you are passionate about crimes against women, as are all of us, actually crimes against anyone for me…

BUT what about being a man hater is going to help all of these victims and their respective families find justice??

your comment above about “weenesses” is pretty childish…

i think you are mistaking, for whatever reason, “had it coming/asking for it”, with making smart choices, even in regards to attire…you have seemed to single out the male population in regards to this stigma, when in reality, it is probably more of an “old school” way of thought…you would do backflips if you heard my mother’s take on young girls and their choice of “clothing” nowadays…

**rhetorical**: If i cover myself in maple syrup and lay on an ant hill, am i provoking the ants, or attracting them??

again for the cheap seats…it is never an innocent victim’s fault when they are murdered…AND…Morgan was not dressed provocatively IMO, but again, the line between “provocative” and “attractive” can be a bit blurred, and i would assume, more so for a sexual deviant.

i am lobbying to get past this nonsense by saying, every woman i know aims to leave the house being as “attractive” as she can be, if not for anyone but there own self esteem, and nothing i have read about Morgan makes her any different…however, nothing about her “provoked” someone to do the unthinkable, she was in the wrong place at the wrong time…period!

RE: Slowroller’s post that was RE fish’s post

Has anyone ever read “Lucky” by Alice Sebold? It’s the author’s memoir/account of the brutal rape she miraculously survived and saw through all the way to the end – the successful prosecution of the degenerate misogynist that raped her. She’s “lucky”. Very lucky. But do you know what she was wearing? A bulky, shapeless, over-sized, cable-knit sweater and jeans.

In my humble opinion, I do not believe that rape is an act of sexual desire, but that of control and power. I think the most desirable prey who is in the the sexual predator’s cross hairs is someone who appears to be vulnerable and the predator picks up on this. I truly do not think it has anything to do with attractiveness.

I do not wish to take sides or to stir the pot, I just thought I’d put that out there.

Just some questions I’ve been wondering.. is there any way to access information logged about the call or is that private?

  11. Dreamedit says:

    Hello People,

My theory goes like this: Predator with binoculars or night vision goggles sits inside his vehicle in parking lot with view of JPJ entrance, searching for prey.

He spies Morgan, apparently impaired.Someone may have slipped something into her beverage. He sees her stumble and lose her purse as her arms fly out to regain her balance.

Perp slowly begins to stalk her from inside his vehicle. He waits until he’s quite sure he won’t be noticed in the darkness, then he stops alongside Morgan.

He intends to rape her. Like some other men, he views all female hitchhikers as “asking for it”.

Morgan becomes nauseous. This infuriates him because now he won’t be able to get it up. And she has desecrated his vehicle.

The predator pulls off the road for a moment and quickly renders her lifeless. He hadn’t expected to kill again so soon-*it’s been only one week since the last time*-but she has deprived him of what he considered himself entitled to. And there’s the problem with his vehicle.

He knows it’s more risky to kill locally, but he has a place in mind where he can get in there with the body and get out again before anyone sees him. Heat will go to the nearest RSO’s.

He puts on his *hip waders* and raincoat/jacket and removes Morgan’s boots before hefting her over his shoulder to wade through the water.

Still enraged, blaming Morgan for everything gone wrong, he physically vents more of his hatred, even though he knows that he’s the only one who is actually there.

The killer drives east to avoid use of a local car wash. The boots are thrown into a dumpster, perhaps as far away as Richmond. The weapon is thrown into a pond. It may be a local one.

In my theory, the killer is a tall white male,*at least six-two, maybe as much as six-five*, medium build or somewhat overweight, short hair, age forty to sixty, maybe in his thirties. Twenties? No.

He’s been seen walking around with his head down, white or cream colored baseball/golf cap visor in front, angry and worried that someone may remember him from that night. Sometimes he wears a grayish green dress shirt. He may be associated with the name Cheval. He still blames Morgan for the fact that his freedom is now at risk.

The killer in my theory appears to be middle income. His vehicle seems to be a dark color SUV.

Is he an RSO? I have some in mind, but I’m not convinced that the killer has a record.

Not one of the North Garden Seven fits into my theory. I would give them some room to grow.

Not all SO’s are devoid of conscience. Someone once offered money to an impoverished SO if he would put me in the ground. He refused.

If I were investigating the murder of Morgan, I would cultivate a positive relationship with the North Garden Seven. If the killer is an RSO, he may be a friend or acquaintance of them.

Money isn’t always an incentive. People are known to be more cooperative when they don’t feel threatened or put down.

Many people who have been incarcerated develop a greater than average intuitive awareness. Their life may depend on it.

The North Garden Seven may have intuitive thoughts about the killer’s identity. Instead of being vilified, they should be considered possible allies.

My theory is that the killer is acquainted with prostitutes in various regions of the state. They, too, should be considered possible allies.

I would talk to prostitutes in towns where women have gone missing or been found dead. I would show them photos of certain Albemarle County RSO’s and ask if they’ve seen them around. And ask if they recall anyone else of memorable height.

    Welcome to BOC Dreamed it-

I noted you posted this on a different site earlier so this must be very much on your mind.

I take it from your dream you feel this is a serial killer- why?

I also note you say that someone once offered an impoverished RSO money to put YOU in the ground..
    Why would someone do that?

I hope you might be open to any questions?

What a heartfelt response to Dr. Harrington’s Take back The Night Speech- thank you both, for sharing the speech and the response.

    Acho redly Duannah- great research!

justice,Lizzy,George, Eloise good to see you

justiceformorgan I look forward to reading your held post-

Fish, you tell it like it is no matter what- SlowRoller, don’t take offense to Fishe’s words- She is not a man hater- She is just very passionate about victim’s male and female not being blamed for enticing a BG- which I agree with, BG are not ants, afterall, and all people have the gift of free choice- Think Adam and Eve- (both naked as a new born) but fine with it until they chose to give in to temptation-
Oh, and speaking about newborns and children- do they entice pedophiles with what they wear?? Of course not- These crimes are not sexual crimes- It isn’t about what their victims are wearing or whether or not the BG was turned on- it is about finding a victim that is vulnerable- an opportunity to play out their sickness.

SlowRoller- I agree with you this isn’t a man woman issue- Thank you for your posts lots to think about-

    Carry on all-

it IS about being attractive…however, most are taking that term to mean in the “she is pretty” context…

a college aged girl, in a bikini, surrounded by UVA’s football team, is very UNattractive to a perp i am guessing…

i am using attractive in a universal sense…looks/attire/opportunity/frame of mind/geography…etc.

geeeezzzz…this site is wonderful, and aims to serve a terrific purpose…so long as a reverse mob mentality doesnt form here

FYI, i do not need a mediator, but thanks…i stand firmly in my beliefs, and i believe them to be helpful as they add an element that is not very prevalent here…i am cautious, and compassionate in what/how i say things as i am aware of the Harrington’s presence here and i will continue in that vein…

Hi, dreamedit. What about prostitutes in other states? Do you think they should be treated and viewed as allies, as well? I know at least one serial killer has targeted prostitutes elsewhere so wonder if you think there could be links? (Knowing, of course, that under no circumstances does anyone believe Morgan was presenting herself as anything other than a college student who’d been shut out of a concert.)

I think many of us have wondered whether Morgan suffered with nausea that night.

Slowr: I may agree with you on this one. It is sounds resonable and logical. But do you think that she could have met him that night and then saw him again, recongized his face and then jumped in his vehicle?
An instant safe friend? A ride to somewhere?

Hey, don’t take my quips to seriously, I say weenesses, you say vjayjays. NBD. I have a son, a hubby, a brother, a father, and lots of nephews. I get their point of view too. It’s just that I think that whomever did this to Morgan, might just have the Y chromosome. But you could be onto something, maybe we do have a female involved?

Thought about it many times. If not just in the car and I think Skyler said something to this effect. So you have opened my thought process up to look for records concerning females with assault charges on them. Thanks Slowroller! See we can get along. I value your point of view and it helps keep me on my toes!
But I am sorry if I annoyed you. I really am a good person with a shitton of baggage. Just keep the thoughts coming.

It amazes me that people will talk even though they have no idea who you are. **captain obvious alert**-you arent serious i hope?? IF, big IF, that Morgan had that “thought”…it was…not smart!

to answer your question more directly, i havent ruled anything/anyone out…i still like the girlfriend of “kickee” slant…i’ll say it again…he was admittedly “waiting for friends”…what kind of “friends”? GF’s?…instant phone call to her was’nt to “tell her the story”, the reason is two fold…1)when GF arrives, Morgan was going to still be in the vicinity and may let on that this guy just hit on her, so the call was preventative if you will…2) it was to expedite her impending arrival, to “beat this chic’s ass” that just kicked him…BUT no one knows who the hell this guy is or his background or anything, because well, they havent told anyone anything!!! imagine if this guy runs the same circles that some of the guys you folks have unearthed run…?!? would/could he not be capable of something sadistic that his GF has bought in to?? i say absolutely, and as ludicrous as this one theory sounds, until we get more, i say it is just as likely as any other…peace

I took the kickee beatin and I keep on tickin… He’s in.

How do you find the status of the fire emergency call? The Charlottesville fire dept. responded to a call. Was it a fire? Don’t they have to document it when the fire trucks go to a location? Very interesting at 2 AM October 18th. Still the night of the 17th for many people up after midnight. I don’t think this is coincidence. Crozet vs C’ville responding to an incorrect address. WTH is really going on?

Slowroller- Whoa- -roll more slowly- I am not trying to play a mediator- Fish can most assuredly take care of her own business-
I was giving my opinion- we are all free to give our own opinions-especially at BOC- but when we do- we must be open to others disagreeing with us- or making their own points- As long as it is done respectfully- I for one, welcome it- I do not however, welcome someone patronizing me-

I value your opinion SlowRoller, and it seems as though you agree with me- you wrote a girl in a bikini is less likely to be attractive to a predator if she is surrounded by a group of big football players-

In other words a person, man , woman or child is less likely to become a victim if they are not in a vulnerable situation – most assuredly the case if she/he is alone, in need of help- or not thinking clearly do to injury, drinking, drugs or other- no matter what attire they were wearing- Please look into the disappearance of a young man by the name of William Hurley-

Just so you know, Slow Roller there are many out there that would consider a girl in a bikini, the middle of a group of adrenaline junkies a syrup covered temptation on an anthill- So happy that you seem to not be in that group- Thank you for reading my opinion.

No worries, no mob mentality here at BOC. Just alot of opinionated people trying to make sense of a tragedy and lend our help- Glad you are one of them.–

    Hey everyone –

I’ve been lurking here for.. well, forever pretty much. I was 20 years old when Morgan disappeared on October 17th. The same age. Since then, I’ve turned 21 and can’t believe beautiful Morgan never will. Morgan is a girl I would have been friends with, and as I think of her every day, I still don’t know how I feel. I’m sad, I’m confused, I’m angry. Some days I think of how I never would have left her alone outside. Other days I admit to myself that I would, and have done before, the same thing to other friends. Nobody expects the worst and goes running to the police… it’s either pure naivete or just probability. Because it’s easy to think “Oh, she’s probably with so-and-so,” and most of the time it ends up being true. On the days when I realize I wouldn’t have called the police or the Harrington family, I feel guilty for my own dumb luck and I mourn for Morgan. Sometimes I realize that I could have been that girl outside, and in fact, I have been. And I’m damn lucky that nothing ever happened to me. I check all your comments multiple times a day, I try and follow up on your clues and the new information, but I often feel a step behind. The only thing I know at this point is that I’m fed up. I want justice for Morgan. I want it yesterday. I don’t know if I’ll be posting again… I think I may have had useful things to say at one point, but now it’s exhausting to continue thinking over the same possibilities. That doesn’t mean I’ve given up… it just means I’m putting more faith in Blink, more faith in all of you, more faith in the police to right this horrific wrong.. or at least give us some answers.

You are welcome here, and I am so glad you posted that.

    Skyler-

“Anyway, we don’t know the physical location of where SS and company were when they received the frantic phone call from the Harrington’s wondering where Morgan was — I’ve always believed they never made it back to Harrisonburg and made it no further than Crozet when they then jumped in Morgan’s car and drove “back” to C-vlle to have a little look around — too bad mileage checks weren’t made or cell phones triangulated on that fateful Sunday, the 18th.”

I have read that they stayed after the concert (to search) and they possibly went back to c-ville the next day (Sunday morning)–has that ever been confirmed?

Why would they stay after the concert in the first place? According to Sarah–Morgan said she’d find her own ride home–so why stay after to look for her? And where would they look? According to Sarah she wasn’t hanging around c-ville–she was headed “home”.

Going back the next day? Hmmm, I don’t buy that either…if they did, again, where would they look? Were they going to drive around JPJ parking lot looking for her? And, if they thought she was ‘missing’ wouldn’t they call her HOME (Sunday am) to see if she was there?

I thought I read that Dr H got a phone around noon on Sunday that they found her purse in the parking lot–Dr H then (probably) immediately tried to contact Morgan on her cell–when he couldn’t reach her he then called her “friends”. I’d bet he called them sometime in the early afternoon on Sunday.

I also recall something about Amy returning Morgan’s car to Dr H sometime on Sunday afternoon. Can anyone confirm whether or not this happened?

    TIA
    Peggy

I like Sedona’s post: Very well articulated with a perspective unique to Morgan and her peers.

Concerned Bystander: I find the timing of the Cassandra Morton disappearance and where she was placed to be troubling and think it should be considered significant to Morgan’s case given those two factors. She was placed in an area near Liberty University in Lynchburg which is always subject to land controversy itself with the city of Lynchburg and Campbell County. I don’t think, if they’re connected, that a land dispute is at the heart of the case, but a nefarious and uncontrollable drive by the perpetrator; a drive that would likely have him strike again.

Peggy, I wonder if we’ll ever learn what the friends did that night and the next day. To me, it would make sense for them to linger in the lot after the show to see if she came back to the car, since they couldn’t reach her. Then I thought one version had them back at the lot looking for her really early (ha! or dropping the purse, if you think they are involved—-I don’t tend to, but you know I kind of consider everyone a suspect until it’s over)—which is something I might do if I thought there was a chance my friend would go back there looking for me, even if she hadn’t called. But…only the friends know, and they ain’t talkin’ to us….

well, i have been scratching the surface of the moon thing and a weird feeling i got about a month ago (can’t remember who posted something about the wicans around that time)… anyway. it got me thinking about “lamb of god” band and sacrificial lamb, and then mom 3.0 and (?) wrote about the disappearances/ murders during the times of the full moon, etc… well, i googled fires(and lo and behold, a few of them turn up during these times), which is a symbol, and sacrificial lamb and some goth bands, broken bones, murder….all of these things could be rituals in some sects/ cults/ religions/ games… the burning dung thing was really strange, too. i think blink threw that in there for a reason… and, i am just wondering about the poor eppard kid and what he was into… mom 3.0, i agree with you about freedom of speech, etc… but, i do believe there is some sort of subculture at work amongst some of these youth attending these concerts… well, there are subcultures following many genres, doesn’t mean they are all evil, but some of the lyrics of these bands do appeal to those that are anti- society. know i am rambling here… but, i do believe, and have all along, that there is a cover- up going on with more than one person involved, on many, many different levels… and, sky, i am totally on your page about the other… just throwing some stuff out there and stirrin’ up the pot in the hopes that the creeps who harmed morgan come bubbling out

  40. ConcernedBystander says:

CVa Native – The two things of interest are that these murders occurred within a week of each other. They also were both hidden and covered but not buried. If it is connected then the perp was trolling for an easy victim. Cassandra is said to be a ‘working girl’, while Morgan was alone and drunk.

On the other hand, Cassandra is an African American, although the perp may not differentiate when it comes to race.

  41. Highlander says:

Just returned from a meeting at the local high school talking about drugs. The participants were members of the county DA’s office, an undercover officer, and a K-9 officer. The discussion was largely about the growth of heroin use and how it usually begins with addiction to prescription narcotics.

The question of where do kids hide the drugs was brought up and one of the answers clicked a light bulb. The undercover officer indicated that kids were hiding dime bags in their cell phones under the batteries. I almost immediately thought of Morgan’s phone missing the battery. Not saying she was a heroin addict, but could that be a reason for the missing battery? They all indicated that heroin is relatively cheap and 1000% stronger than it was 20-30 years ago. It can be smoked or injected. They stressed that the old image of a bum shooting up in an alley is not true anymore. More and more middle class kids are becoming addicted to pain killers after an accident because we are a society that can’t/won’t tolerate pain. Once, the person can no longer get the prescription narcotics they are often introduced to heroin. After using only one time, they’re hooked. Anyways, I haven’t had much to contribute in the past months and the whole cell phone/battery thing just clicked with me.

  42. Pepper says:

Blink – in your remark,” Friend-

I already told you, there is a fire call and response at an unregistered addy in the following hours Morgan went missing. The question is , why is that?”

You and the rest of us know why that is. We need to find out what location was being used for that address.
I was raised by a great, honest, law abiding Boston, MA FF. My brother and uncle and cousin were/are all FF in MA. All honest law abiding. I know that there are “bad apples” in all vocations. I don’t doubt what is being said here about some of these FF. But, I do know that they watch out for each other.

My question, what kind of call was it? for an ambulance? a paramedic? A way to transport her body onto AF? Does the Fire Dept there have ATV’s? I imagine so. Was this call in the FD log? Who noticed that the address didn’t exist? Who questioned it?

I feel that an arrest is just around the corner. Alot to sift through, but the end is in sight. J4M. God bless the Harrington family. Stay strong. Justice is coming soon!

RE#74–Blink can you confirm whether this party was ever named? It seems pretty significant; otherwise an error?
“Another concert-goer claims he was outside the building, waiting for late-arriving friends to meet him around 9 PM when he heard a “commotion” outside one of the venue’s entrances.

“It was some shouting,” the man, who asked not to be identified, says. Moments later, the young woman, who matched Harrington’s description, approached him, and put her arm out, bent, as though to invite him to link his arm with her. She said to him, “‘Let’s go.’ It seemed somewhat aggressive.” The eyewitness says Harrington’s behavior seemed “unusual” and when he told her he had to stay and wait for his friends, he claims the woman cursed at him and kicked him.

“It wasn’t that hard,” he says of the kick, but it was disturbing enough that he immediately called his girlfriend to relate the encounter. “She told me I should call the police and report her. Now I wish I had.” He reported the matter to police as soon as he learned of the disappearance.”

    Not named to my knowledge.

I can say that his name has not been revealed, although attempts have been made to do so.
Which I respect from a journalistic perspective, can be a struggle.

Amanda850, thank you for acknowledging me- I appreciate it.

awa, Hello, no need to apologize for voicing your opinion- I happen to agree with your sentiment- Somethings should not be messed around with- some people will take things to a whole other level- but I also think those people who are taking things to a whole other level are dabbling in much more than death metal with violent images or riffs- Some people seek out darkness and thrive upon it- I agree- very good points awa, thank you.

Sedona, thank you for your honesty and for bringing a different perspective. And even though they are not required to, nor should they feel obligated to, the public seems to be judging them solely on the actions of October 17 and the subsequent behavior that we are aware of in the following days, weeks and months… Unfortunately that can lead to very wrong impressions about them.

I agree with you, I think if the public could hear them speak or read their words, it would be easier to step inside their shoes and understand that they were Morgan’s friends, they live everyday wondering what if, and they are in fact mourning the murder of their friend, and it would lead to letting them off the hook. Thank you for at least showing us, that they were wearing shoes.

Highlander, thank you for bringing us that information. I do not know if that is indeed what happened, but it seems plausible that Morgan may have carried something behind her battery- who knows what- could it have been a friends #, a credit card for emergencies, or perhaps drugs as you theorize?- all seem possible-

justiceformorgan, Hi, I understand your frustration, I have lost a couple of posts too. Its ok- it happens- Blink is not against you- in fact, she already gave you credit for your post and its research- you are credited at the bottom of this article. We all understand your hard work, and value it immensely- please don’t give up because of a misunderstanding.

Hummingbird- I heard on the radio today, that a town goat in New Zealand was the victim of graffiti- I don’t know if its a good thing, but I thought of you.

    Thanks redly, for the response:

Per Redly’s link.. there is a 149 Brookwood Drive in Charlottesville listed on the DailyProgress.com under property transfers and building permits for Sept 26th, 2008 as follows:

Southern Development, 149 Brookwood Drive, single family dwelling, $140,000, Frank Ballif, Southern Development.

Perhaps the confusion is due to a Crozet VFD website link to the Fire Incident Display System… which according to the header, covers all of Albemarle County’s calls. I made the same mistake. Someone from the CFD should be able to clear up the confusion regarding incident#002947.
