North Garden, VA– Morgan Harrington, the 20 year old fair-haired, radiant beauty, was brutally murdered after disappearing from the John Paul Jones arena the evening of October 17, 2009.

Morgan Bridge

Morgans remains were recovered the morning of January 26, 2010 in a hayfield on Anchorage Farm, owned by David and Nancy Bass.

Since Morgan was found by Mr. Bass that blackest of days in January, there has been rampant speculation about her last hours and how she ended up in the creek bed of total strangers.

A sequence of events and incidents in the days and hours preceding and following the January 26, 2010, discovery of Morgan Harrington’s skeletal remains on Anchorage Farm continues to attract attention from pundits and volunteers dedicated to Morgan’s cause.

Although naysayers point to a lack of a viable connection, and police have disavowed a link, others say emergency services runs to a nearby fire and also other responses which are  not supported by publicly available documentation has led to calls for more complete disclosure to eliminate any connection or chance of prank calls to misdirect or busy first responders.

The editors of www.blinkoncrime.com present  a series of events occurring in Albemarle County, VA that pose the question:

What the Hell is going on and what does it have to do with Morgan Harrington’s murder?

The Monsoons of Albemarle County …. PD

Ok, maybe I meant “The monsoor”. Karl Monsoor that is.

Former Officer Karl Monsoor had been tugging on the shirtail of ACPD for years before he finally left with pocketfuls of sunshine. Almost 500 G’s.

It is not my intention to be glib, it is my intention to say that as one of the youngest police departments in the country, enacted in 1983, this tank needed algeacide before this past March.

Death By Cop.. January 1, 2010

Colby Eppard driver seatColby Eppard, described by some as a cross between Gomer Pyle and cool hand luke, had the rawest of deals growing up in Greene County.

According to his foster-mommy-aunt, Tammy Harlow Cox, Colby was hit by a car at a very young age and suffered a brain injury that apparently served to shape his future of home upheavel and juvenile detention facilities.

Ms. Cox, to whom Colby Eppard was entrusted for a time as a foster parent, is no stranger to the judicial system. Tammy was arrested for admittedly having sex with 3 High School seniors athletes on the Varsity Football Team, where her own sons attended. The same school Colby elected to leave without his diploma.

Colby’s family recalls better times, and I don’t think anyone believes this is the last we have heard of this case.

Specifically under VA statute, Greene County Captain Randall Snead was out of his jurisdiction, both when he was called about Colby stealing the patrol car and the fact that he was in North Garden, Albemarle County, looking for it. It would seem the Greene County Roster could accommodate a deputy vs. a captain to respond, no?  Keep in mind, EVERY responding officer was put on desk duty pending the investigation, through at least February 9th, 2010.

While the attorney for the Commonwealth, Denise Lunsford has cleared all officers from all participating counties involved, none of the dash cams have been released despite requests through The Freedom of Information Act..

According to Ms. Lunsford, in an incident that spanned almost 70 miles and over 2 and a half hours where traffic was rerouted and stringers were used, Colby Eppard was allegedly wielding the 20 gauge Greene County Issue out the windows, not one LEO attempted to engage or respond to Eppard in an effort to get him to pull over, or negotiate his surrender at any time.

In fact, according to statements from Snead, Albemarle Deputies Fields and Marden, they were all in place on the south junction of 20 “in the event” he went that way, yet, they did not block traffic until after the stinger caused Eppard to crash.

My biggest question regarding this incident is: Did anyone ask Colby Eppard why he would take the truck and 2 rifles on New Years day ending up in Albemarle County?

Was it related to a New Years Eve occurrance of a friend, family member or associate of his? After Sgt. Hutchinson loses Eppard near the Nelson line, the next time he is seen is parked on Green Creek Rd, back in Albemarle.

What route did he take from 29 South to end up there? Was he seeking Red Hill Road where the overdose call came in to EMS the night before?

By all accounts he was a troubled young man with challenges throughout his young 18 years.

Additionally corroborated by those that knew him, he was never violent to anyone. There were over 6 Law Enforcement Officers from 4 different jurisdictions this man encountered before he hit just below Carters Bridge; 14 by the time the stolen vehicle ended up in the ditch.

Not one of them spoke or attempted to speak to Colby Wade Eppard at anytime he was on the police radio for over 2 hours. Was there an order given not to?

How is it that not one officer responded to Eppards threats, which were even being monitored by the media at this point in an effort to have a peaceful result to this situation?

Did Eppard have a cell phone with him and have the records been checked?

Cort EppardDid he call anyone, like Amber Rogers, his off-again girlfriend of 3 years? His brother Courtney or any of his friends?

In the preliminary release by the Virginia State Police, it stated Eppard returned to his crashed 2006 Ford Ranger truck prior to stealing the unmarked Green Cty car. If he were attempting to have a police stand off, why would he not take the two rifles he brought with him? He left his guns behind.

It also states in the report that Eppard is seen on the video from the STOLEN police car retrieving the shotgun from the trunk and loading it, how is that possible considering all the cameras are dash mounted?

Can someone explain to me how the officers have been cleared, but the footage of  both Eppards actions and their responses, the very evidence of the incident cannot be released? One of the officers involved, Caleb Marden, was fired for reasons nobody is willing to comment on.

There is only ONE way that is legal; if is part of an ONGOING investigation.

So what investigation is it an active part of?

(Editors note: If Mr. Eppard put ANYONE’s safety at risk through his actions, in the end, I say what happened to him was done to protect others, which I support. That said, as it was not so long ago a Virginia Conservation Officer was indicted for the involuntary manslaughter of a 16 year old kid whose girlfriend he was trying to grab out of his moving car, and later had the charges dismissed, I think it is worthy of conversation.)

Byrd Watching DungSmoke – January 22, 2010

Dung burning

James Byrd Gunn, resident or squatter at 5027 Stoney Point Rd, Barboursville, VA owned by Piedmont Manor Land Trust, was busted for possession of Marijuana with intent to deliver, and possession of a firearm as a felon.

In a SEPERATE arrest  on January 23rd, 2010, Jeremy Manning– Smith Manning Smith(JMS) with the cool  144 acre pad in Keswick, also indicted on 4/5/2010 , may turn to the fivefold plan to help him out. JMS keeps a cool $55K recession-proof wad around for emergencies. Mr. Manning-Smith is a long time composter, although he never really states what he is growing.

Lisa Powers, copperworks and the fivefold planners say burn the dung. They are pals, although I doubt she is securing his bond.

Cash Runs OUT.. January 24th, 2010

Jason Todd Cash, with NO CHARGES OR WARRANTS PENDING allegedly tries to kill a cop when he is stopped in Nelson Cty in a vehicle registered to someone in Buckingham County. Remind you of anyone? He ran from the scene, leaving the vehicle and eluded police on foot.

The vehicle was impounded. He apparently is driving on a revoked license, which county has that occurred in? We will get back to J-money.

NON Garden Party…. January 25th

At approximately 10PM on the evening of January 25, Albemarle County Fire and rescue services responds to a call at the 37 acre farm of award winning gardening and horticulture experts John Sauer and his wife Cathy Clary. It is listed as a tactical incident rescue and as of March 24, 2010 is still an open incident.  What was it? Who or what needed rescuing?

Mr. Sauer is the long-time gardner for Carr’s Hill, the residence of the President of UVA. Carr’s Hill was the former site of the Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity until 2003 when it was moved by the city to it’s current location on Culbreth. Ms. Clary is a horticulture proffessor at UVA, and most recently taught a home landscaping course which included a field trip the afternoon of Saturday October 17, 2009.

The Sauers are also members of Piedmont Landscaping Association, which is open to anyone in the landscaping field and the Virginia Cooperative Extension.

Interestingly enough, there were several fire alarm activations on the UVA campus on this same day. Faulkner House reported a residential fire around 4:10 am.

Threes Company,  Four is Combustible..Jan 26th

Sutherland Firefd

Sometime after 10PM, the residential fire at 3323 Sutherland Rd breaks out.

This would be the fire that is still an OPEN INCIDENT.

This fire,as you can see, was no curling-iron-left-on.

It allegedly started after the residents were asleep, although they had all apparently packed their belongings and were on a month to month lease, 2 had already moved out.

In fact, according to Peruvian vacationer and dog owner of Blanca, the pit bull that perished in the blaze, he was not aware of the fire until days after the fact because he was with friends in Peru.

Kevin Terlep

Convenient, if you ask me, as he has a previous weed distribution and subsequent traffic charge in December 2009.

Meet new pup to the left. In fairness to fair-weather k9’s of America, he was only asking for dog-sitting, and not on the lease.  Choose your kenneling wisely people.

The residential fire at the 3000 block of Sutherland Rd has some issues. For starters, you have the first press release regarding the possible accidental fire since as far back as 2003 before a cause determination has been made.

Additionally the release itself appears to have missed the fact that approximately 2 hours after the last apparatus departs, there is an additional call back to the property requiring 12 responders within minutes of the discovery of Morgan Harrington’s remains. They may have literally passed each other on Route 29; they definitely would have heard the dispatcher.

Sutherland

The former owner of the Sutherland property is buried on Anchorage Farm. A relative of the current owners has hunted the Anchorage Farm property.

The band in the image on the left is pictured practicing in the Sutherland home.

A firefighter, whose identity blinkoncrime is choosing to withhold, who fought the fire, without sleeping took an impromptu trip to New Jersey with his ..”aunt, uncle, cousin, his cousins uncle and a friend..” at 10:23PM January 27th, driving straight through without stopping and returned to North Garden by 1:45PM January 28th.  Through his own facebook postings, he spends the bulk of his time when he is not volunteering for the North Garden Fire Department at his cousins; a Toco Hill address also listed as the home for a recently released registered sex offender.

Retired Greene Sheriff Takes His Own Life.. January 28

There is no evidence to suggest that William “Willie” Linwood Morris’s suicide has anything in common with the Morgan Harrington’s case directly, with the exception that there are obviously folks that knew him as well as other individuals being discussed. I have spoken with a family member, and an individual who has known him for twenty years and by those accounts Willie was in deep discomfort from the tinnicus he suffered from.

He took care of every detail prior to ending his life behind the barn on his farm in Stanardsville, VA, including withdrawing the cash for his own funeral.

Willie Morris was found by Captain Randall Snead, who was allegedly supposed to be on desk duty until the Eppard case investigation was completed.  According to Commonwealth Attorney Denise Lunsford, that was not completed until February 9, 2010, almost 2 weeks later.

Cash is Busted on a Tip.. March 19

Not long out of Nelson County jail for a non-violent offense, Jason Todd Cash is being held in Albemarle County jail since his arrest around 1am the morning of Friday March 19.

One has to wonder if the tip about where Jmoney was hanging out on Secretary Sand Rd from his kin in Amherst.

Clint Cash, a registered sex offender was arrested in December on a felony parole violation and is facing some heavy time . His wife Donna, had just pled guilty to a misdemeanor the day before the tip came in regarding JT Cash’s whereabouts and received a suspended sentence.

Jason Cash was apprehended with help from Bink, the new Albemarle County k9 when the house he was staying in on Secretary Sands was raided and he attempted to stay hidden inside.

What are Coincidences… What are clues?

The aforementioned volunteer for NGVFD lives in same stretch of Secretary Sands Rd.

Yet another relative of Jason Cash, a registered Sex Offender, shares an employer with the cousin of “volunteer”, and volunteer; specializing in outdoor landscape lighting.

Colby Eppard was stopped in the area of Green Creek Rd that is a large parcel of land owned by  Cash family member.

As far as making allegations in this report, there are none. The investigation of the events contained herein are entirely based on public information and witness accounts.

I have come to the conclusion that while we cannot say specifically which one of the issues discussed directly relate to the murder of Morgan Harrington, a primary or secondary scene integral to the investigation of same, and the hunt for her killer(s), but I do believe the incidents need to explored fully in a public forum.

APPOMATTOX – In the six months since the disappearance and death of Morgan D. Harrington, Virginia State Police with the assistance of local investigators have pursued close to a thousand leads and interviewed more than 100 individuals as part of the on-going investigation. In addition, forensic testing has recently confirmed an article of clothing as belonging to the 20-year-old Roanoke woman.

Harrington disappeared the night of Oct. 17, 2009, during a Metallica concert at the John Paul Jones Arena on the University of Virginia (UVA) grounds in Charlottesville, Va. During the course of the investigation, police have been able to establish a timeline of Miss Harrington’s movements once she ended up outside of the arena at approximately 8:30 p.m. After talking to her friends on her cell phone, she then walked through the parking lot of University Hall and was also seen in the Lannigan Athletic Field parking lot, which is also used for RV parking. At around 9:30 p.m., she was last seen walking on the Copeley Road bridge near Ivy Road, hitchhiking for a ride.

An Albemarle County landowner discovered Harrington’s body in a field on his 700-acre farm on the morning of Jan. 26, 2010. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ruled the manner of death as a homicide. The cause and time of death remain under investigation.

Recently completed testing by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science confirmed that a black T-shirt discovered Nov. 11, 2009, in the city of Charlottesville is the one Harrington was last seen wearing the night of the concert. The T-shirt, with the word “Pantera” spelled out in tan letters across the front, was discovered by a Charlottesville resident on Nov. 11, 2009, and turned over to investigators. The T-shirt was found on 15th Street near the intersection of Grady Avenue.

In addition, the team of investigators from the University of Virginia Police, Albemarle County Police, Charlottesville Police, Virginia State Police and the FBI assigned to the case has made substantial progress in evaluating countless possibilities and scenarios related to the circumstances surrounding Harrington’s disappearance and death.

“We are still encouraging the public to come forward with relevant information concerning Morgan Harrington,” said Lt. Joe Rader, Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation Appomattox Field Office. “As this investigation continues to progress, factual details are more helpful and important to investigators than theoretical abstracts. It’s going to take that one courageous phone call to Crime Stoppers from someone who knows something firsthand about this case that will be the key to linking together the evidence and data collected to date.”

Anyone with information is asked to call the Jefferson Area Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000. A reward of $150,041 is still available for anyone with information that leads to a resolution of this crime. Calls can also be made to local police or the Virginia State Police Tip Line at (434) 352-3467 or emailed to the State Police at bci-appomattox@vsp.virginia.gov. Anonymous tips are welcome.

Blink, do you think said FF actually went to NJ? His posts seem very odd, updating his FB readers along the way. Why would he bitch and moan about NJ people? I mean, how many people could he have encountered from 4:00 am-5:30 am to even make that comment. And then they leave at 8:00 am???

Here are my thoughts, either this was a fake FB posting to account for all of the people OR they really did go to NJ, in which case, IMO is a huge fed flag. That is a LONG way to go. Also, when people ask him why he is in NJ he doesn’t answer BUT we know he sees it since he updates his status a mere 3 hrs later.

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this?

That is a great question DaisyGirl. I think they did travel to NJ that day, as we studied those postings, and those from his recently deleted myspace thoroughly. You point out it was really a “there and back” trip, and at best they stopped for breakfast. Maybe he did not like blintzes, lol.

But seriously, I can tell you that I would be very interested in knowing if 2 vehicles went, and only one came back. The FF does not have a vehicle registered in his name, so it was not his.

Although I’ve only posted a time or two, I wanted to express some things. Blink you have no idea how much you and others here have meant to me over these last months.

You see, I was/am a victim of rape back in the early 80′s. Living in a large city at the time, this man stalked me for a while before finally breaking into my home while my husband was at work. What he took from me will never fully be recovered, even after all these years, therapy, medication, and a good husband. I shall forever have a damaged soul. I shall forever experience anxiety and panic attacks. I shall forever blame a part of myself. I shall never forget his face and what was done to me.

I feel a connection to precious Morgan. I suffered as she suffered. I was overpowered and my bones were shattered. I fought as I know she did to no avail. After the attack, I suffered through the comments and “looks”. “She was so pretty, flirty, and blonde.” “She wore short skirts, short shorts, and halter tops.” The cops, attorneys, etc never stopped to think that majority of young women of that time dressed the same way. They never thought their words would stay in my head forever.

Dear, beautiful, special Morgan your killers WILL be found. This i know and believe in my heart. As I sat out on my deck this morning, a magnificent swallowtail was drinking nector from my flowers and as I watched, I thought of Morgan. That delicate butterfly could very well have been her as I gained immense peace just looking at the butterfly’s beauty. Morgan has touched ALL of us. Morgan is with us and I believe like my butterfly, she flits around from place to place with love and comfort to those of us who need it.

Thank you Blink from the bottom of my heart. You are truly an inspiration to me and others. Your tenacity will prevail!! These monsters WILL pay their dues!!

O friend I dont even know what to say, I am so sorry that happened to you, but thankful you felt comfortable here to share it.

Blink, I know you confirmed several weeks ago that the shirt was Morgan’s. I know police are publicly releasing a statement on it now because they have DNA results back on the shirt. I have a question, do you know if they sent the shirt for testing when it was found on Nov. 11 or did they send it after Morgan’s remains were found. Can we hope that all tests are back? It’s really encouraging that they were able to get DNA from the shirt matching Morgan and hopefully there is other DNA and can be matched. It was only three and a half weeks after Morgan disappeared, when the shirt was found. This is very hopeful! J4M

Even the cville weekly, the paper to originally post the shirt being found, is saying November 11th. Was a press release put out today using that date? The cville weekly and the hook don’t usually follow the usual AP reports, they put their own twists into stories.

November 11th was 5 days after the Laura Recovery search. I would think that area had been covered, I was one block over from there searching.

Yep, this was where I am going with that.

#48 Mom.30 had to laugh at the “Graffitti Goat” New Zealand story, sounds like a name of one of the various nefarious bands being discussed here lately! Poor goat hope it is okay wonder what they wrote.
Last night here in LA, smack bang in the middle of the city, two huge raccoons, (I mean big I have seen them before they live somewhere around here) stole the turtle belonging to one the students who live downstairs.
I heard some weird noises and looked out and there they were looking like a couple of escaped convicts with those wild black and white rings around their eyes. My daughter came out and when we realized they had the turtle we were horrified and I chased them away with a broom ( closest weapon of choice!) They did not seem very afraid of me and were huge and a bit scarey!!
Skyler you probably have had plenty of raccoon experiences …I would not like the chances of a dog or cat that might cross their paths in the night, or even a small child for that matter.
Anyway it was a drama. I rushed downstairs to talk to the boys to save or move the turtle. One of them said it was a former roommates who had left it when he moved out.
I asked if they had been looking after it and he said “well we give it a bit of broccoli now and then”.
One of them had left the lid off the turtles water tub which made it vulnerable to the raccoons.
It was bleeding, I was furious and demanded he remove it so the raccoons could not mess with it anymore. I asked why they had not taken it to an animal shelter and he said they were too busy studying and the nearest one was in Malibu too far away.
My teenage daughter was disgusted and said to me “Mum those students are such idiots how did they ever get into college?”
One is studying to be a doctor and two attorneys. It was about 10:15pm, my poor husband came home in his suit late from work and I made him go down a second time and make the boys retrieve the poor turtle, abandoned by its owner, neglected by the room mates and now killed by the raccoons.
My daughter and I were really upset.
We had been watching the critters messing with something some food in a bag or something we thought ,but did not realize it was the turtle until it was too late and the turtle was really quite big .
Now y’all down there in rural Virginia might be thinking Hummingbird is getting a bit soft here in the city being country girls and guys ‘specially the one of you who hunts and skins coons ( wish I could remember just who it was can anyone remember?) We have been talking hunters and hunting for a while here on BOC. Red do you remember who it was?
Being a kiwi and a country girl at heart I have been around a few farms and am quite capable of dispensing with dead rats and the like, but blow me down I could not bring myself to go down there and pick up that boys mutilated pet turtle and it was hot chocolate and extra cuddles for the daughter.
I didn’t really like those raccoons much and completely OT of course but would love to hear from any one of my Virginian compadres what they know about these creatures and their illicit nightly habits!!
It is all your fault Mom.30 for writing to me here today about the poor graffiti goat and it got me started!! ( smile) Yesterday I signed a petition from spokeswoman Pamela Anderson for PETA against KFC’s abuse and cruelty to chickens and lately my daughter refuses to eat them or meat at all for now.
Thank you Blink, Fish, and Mom.30 and the rest of you who were kind enough to send me such good thoughts my and try to unruffle my feathers so to speak, until I read your responses I did not really realize how ruffled they had become when I responded to Achos post about being so frustrated with all this senseless violence.
In the same breath Justiceformorgan please keep posting I really look forward to your posts and learn so much from them. You are very loved here I hope you can tell.
Sorry this long and OT hope it made some of you grin a bit even if it was a bittersweet story of a kiwi a goat a turtle and two oversized raccoons!!
Lead us to your killers dear Morgan.

It was only three and a half weeks after Morgan disappeared, when the shirt was found. This is very hopeful! J4M

Who said the shirt was found November 11?
    B

    —————————
Blink, November 11th was mentioned in the article that Dan Harrington posted:

Recently completed testing by the Virginia Department of Forensic Science confirmed that a black T-shirt discovered Nov. 11, 2009, in the city of Charlottesville is the one Harrington was last seen wearing the night of the concert. The T-shirt, with the word “Pantera” spelled out in tan letters across the front, was discovered by a Charlottesville resident on Nov. 11, 2009, and turned over to investigators. The T-shirt was found on 15th Street near the intersection of Grady Avenue.

  20. In Memory of Gini says:

    Blink article:
At approximately 10PM on the evening of January 25, Albemarle County Fire and rescue services responds to a call at the 37 acre farm of award winning gardening and horticulture experts John Sauer and his wife Cathy Clary. It is listed as a tactical incident rescue and as of March 24, 2010 is still an open incident. What was it? Who or what needed rescuing?

Sometime after 10PM, the residential fire at 3323 Sutherland Rd breaks out.

This would be the fire that is still an OPEN INCIDENT.

This fire,as you can see, was no curling-iron-left-on.

It alledgedly started after the residents were asleep, although they had all apparently packed their belongings and were on a month to month lease, 2 had already moved out.

    —————————
Blink, can you clarify if the burning house was a rental on John Sauer’s property? Does that mean there are several houses on this property?

That is 2 separate incidents you have together.

There was no fire at Sauers. It was a tactical incident rescue, which as an example, could be a vehicle in the water.

I’m curious to find out when the shirt was sent for testing as well. It seemed as though LE didn’t think the shirt was Morgan’s until after her body was found. It was at that time that they went to interview the tenants in the complex.

  22. sudafed says:

Thanks to MarshmallowWI’s informative post about ambulances being parked outside of JPJ during the concert, I offer the following hypothetical scenario:

Morgan falls inside arena and busts her chin. An off-duty EMS type of person inside the arena sees her crying over busted chin and offers to help. Escorts her outside under the premise of getting treatment from one of said ambulances. Boom, locked out of JPJ with EMS guy in tow.

Oh Tarheellvr I am so sorry you had to go through that. Thankyou from the bottom of my heart for your courage in posting what happened to you and how you relate to Morgan. it made me cry.
I believe you are indeed a beautiful woman inside and out.
Here I am writing about raccoons and turtles and your post really hit home.
I also find myself thinking and feeling Morgans light and presence to be like a butterfly.
A beautiful golden monarch butterfly like the ones my dad used to hatch.
He told me once that after he died he would watch over me in the form of a Golden Monarch.
He has been gone 21 years but many times when I was troubled or facing some sort of crisis or even just feeling very happy, out of nowhere on the coldest of days at the wrong time of year and in different countries I would look up to see this wonderful creature with gossamer wings float gently past to land on a flower, a tree, or even once or twice on my hand!! It still happens.
    Godspeed Morgan.
I hope my dear old dad is holding your hand somewhere, his hands were always so warm.

It’s strange how everything is so scattered about. Purse was found in parking lot, shirt in c-ville and Morgan was eventually discovered at AF.

Would a perp actually scatter these items around like that? Wouldn’t they (or maybe it’s just one person) take more precautions to hide or discard these items–since they obviously took the time to hide her body(or at least they attempted to)?

  27. sudafed says:

If anyone still hasn’t figured it out yet, the FF who fleed to NJ is indeed listed on the current roster of the North Garden Volunteer Fire Company. His initials are AT. It is a common name so if you are having trouble locating his exact FB page, you can get to it through his girlfriend’s FB page. His girlfriend is also listed on the NGVFC’s member page, and has the initials SS. Since her name is not as common, her FB page will initially be easier to locate.

Do you know which is accurate?

  30. Peggy says:

If foreign DNA was found wouldn’t that be enough to get a search warrant? And, wouldn’t that be enough for LE to consider that person a suspect?

They still haven’t said they have a suspect or POI–they are still asking for that ONE courageous phone call–IF they found DNA it sounds like they still can’t make a connection(b/c finding DNA in itself is most certainly enough probable cause to obtain a sw)–unless the DNA they found on shirt (other than Morgan’s) is NOT in the system–and at this point it’s unknown whose DNA it actually is.

Do FF give DNA samples and fingerprints? One would think they’d have to in case of the unfortunate situation where they are killed on the job–they’d have to be able to identify them–right?

LE is on a roll!! Keep on rollin’ guys and gals. Major progress in the Haleigh and Brittanee cases. Now, this news confirming that they recovered Morgan’s DNA from the shirt sounds very promising to me. If they have Morgan’s DNA, then I am thinking that the chances are extremely high that Morgan’s isn’t the only DNA they found.

Could all three cases be about to be broken wide open??? I hope that they get ALL of these evil b*****ds off the streets – CATCH THEM ALL AND LET THEM ALL ROT!!

And, I hope that all guilty parties from all 3 cases are shaking in their shoes right now. I hope that anybody who had anything to do with any of these cases are feeling the heat. NOW IS WHEN EVERYONE NEEDS TO BE WATCHING – these people have to be feeling it closing in on them now and their behaviour is going to change because of it.

Justice for Morgan, Haleigh and Brittanee. Praying for all families involved.

  34. Also – probably already noted, but: sudafed provided intitials for the NG FF who tripped to New Jersey, as well as his girlfriend.

Girlfriend’s facebook page shows she’s a member of the “Let’s find Morgan …” group. So, she’s shown an interest in the happenings of Morgan’s murder. Just thought that was interesting.

They are all pretty much members of that in that group…

Back to the t-shirt. I going to be positive that they have transfer DNA on that shirt. I am going to be positive that he was there on that search weekend and I am positive that I did not see anyone with gloves on. Well at least, not latex ones. Yes, garden varity as people picked and pushed through the brush but those would leave something, right? Maybe this is just positive wishful thinking.

Blink and slowr: I did find an assault and batt. charge on someone with a p.o. box in North Garden. An aunt I think. Which brings me to give a shoutout to…

    Redhilllocal!

Does everyone have a p.o. box in North Garden or is there home delivery?

But Blink, is there anything we can do about using the initials or is naming names, just to much of a legal mess for you? Even though they are on a vast many websites relating to Morgan’s case, other criminal/civil/traffic cases, voluteer work, social network sites, etc., I read your other cases and see names all over the place.

It is the context in which we use them right?
But we can certainly site and use names.

I just think that initials are just as much as an issue as names. Could I be wrong. Well, of course I could be and am many times, but doesn’t hurt to ask again? You told us awhile back just moderate ourselves.
    Still stand?

If they are relative to the case, no implications are made, and there is public information about them available, I am ok with it, if it happens to go to far I just everyone realize I will delete it with no prejudice, K?

There are photos of how to NOT do it… with one thigh going east and the other going west – or what your gynecologist sees… leave it to Cosmo. The mag cost $4.29… You might check out your local library for a copy – or it might go online – or just pick up a copy in your shopping cart and head off to the detergent – paper towel aisle and read it for free…..

But Peggy, what if one of those perps walks these routes on a daily basis? I talked about the UVA bio labs — they and other offices are on the way to JPJA from Jefferson Park Avenue (JPA) and all those heavily student-populated streets. They and/or JPJA could be workplaces for someone. The shirt was found just beyond the Corner, which is a big restaurant/bar scene. What if it is part of someone’s routine to be near all of these spots? (I still think the t-shirt could’ve been a plant, but perhaps done by someone who regularly spends time in the Corner/JPA neighborhoods.)

I think we’d all like to connect the dots from those ‘hoods to North Garden. I think we’ve made huge–I mean uge–progress this week, thank you Ms. B.

Hi Localcvillegirl! LOL, I simply don’t want to do the day jobs I’ve given myself and am rebelling, putting the time into Morgan instead and feeling grateful I am my own boss.

Who added the $41.00? Does 41 have a meaning?

From WDBJ7.com story titled “Parents of Morgan Harrington organize community search this weekend”, story dated 11/4/2009-
“The reward for information about the case is now at $150,041. The rock group Metallica donated an additional $50,000 to the fund and the employees of the United Way of the Roanoke Valley contributed $41 in an office collection. That’s on top of the $100,000 the Harrington’s and their friends provided to the Crime Stoppers organization.”

may be grasping, but i still think a death / funeral may have triggered the brutality. i am probably way off now, but i just think that the cemetery at the farm and/or a death / funeral around right before Oct 17th may be relevant?

Cosmo I know someone who is a family member to this lady. I do not think the death, as it was expected, triggered anything, but I do think it possible there may have been some of their kin from out of town staying with them for the weekend.
