Morgan Harrington Murder: Anchorage Farm Could Yield Even More Clues

Charlottesville, VA– In a new development in the murder investigation of Morgan Dana Harrington, blinkoncrime.com has learned that Anchorage Farm was very much a frequent party spot for local musicians.
In fact, there was a 7 Mile Sleepover exactly one week after Morgan’s disappearance from the JPJ arena that included an invitation list of over 130 guests.
Jenny Bass, the adult daughter of David and Nancy Bass, is an accomplished pianist, musician, horticulturist and artist in the Charlottesville community.
The Seven Mile Sleepover appears to have been posted prior to Morgan’s disappearance, approximately October 14, 2009.
While it is unconfirmed how many guests actually attended the event, it is clear there could have been over 100 people within a few hundred yards of Morgan’s final resting place a week after she went missing, and presumably, her death.
As Anchorage Farm is a verified crime scene in an active murder investigation, one wonders if anyone found anything they may not have realized of importance at the time.
According to her facebook, Ms. Bass was clearly disturbed by her discovery as well:

These pics were posted 10/28/2009 – wonder when they were taken? I think in one I see the fence, another the creek, pics from all over AF it appears.

Cocktail party is exactly the right word – two different types of events going on at Anchorage Farm, cocktail parties/formal dinner parties observer would attend, and then the daughter’s parties, which were of a different nature.
I cannot get over that these pics were uploaded OCTOBER 28, 2009 and is pics of all over AF, including the creek and hayfield.

** Who thinks this may be the missing link LE needed? I’m on the fence for the simple fact that we don’t know how long LE has known the, to us, newly discovered facts. If this news is new to LE as well, I think this may be the break we’ve all been waiting for. On the other hand, if LE has known these facts for some time, it obviously has not brokwn the case yet, but it does give a bit more of a warm and fuzzy that they may actually have a POI or two or few.
Great find on the pics Lily. Weird that they were uploaded to FB on 10/28/09, only 11 days post disappearance. Very odd.
Blink – these images might be disturbing for the Harringtons. Have you let them know? I just now thought of that and I feel terrible.

If there were parties on the farm, neighbours may not have been alerted by noise/light/strange things going on at night. This would have made it easier for the perpetrator to dispose of the body.
All I care about is if the investigators can gain at least a few clues from these pics – the people – and the people connected. Then the hours I spent today when I should have been *uh hmmm* working from home will have been very well spent.
Then again, as some of you have said, they may have already seen these.

RE: Yes, according to the cemetery records and many web source it is spelled Teel. However, I wouldn’t discount someone to add or subtract a letter to their name for search/privacy/family/friend/personal reasons. Anything is possible.
Lily- whoa nice work- I certainly can understand your feeling creeped out, I was quite uneasy viewing these pics. I always wondered what is was like at the farm during the month of October- the creek was not extremely high- the hay was though-
These pics are very interesting and at the very least I hope the photographer and JB passed these photos on to LE as soon as Morgan was found- if not, why not? They obviously could tell LE about the conditions around the farm in the fall, and who knows what other info could be found after viewing these pics..
As for the “old structures” I don’t believe those are old- they look to be survivalist huts and perhaps they double as a blind for hunting. JMO

I wonder what type of camera was used and if these were the only people and the only time that guests were allowed to wander AF taking pics- By the way- I think we can now rule out the smell of decomposition and buzzards at least on the day these pics were taken- they were uploaded Oct 27 and Nov 11 but when were they taken?
I look forward to your analysis of the overlay maps Blink- thank you for also warning The Harrington’s about these pics. I hope in a way they can feel closer to their daughter, Morgan, by seeing the farm as it was in the Fall.

I zoomed and sharpened as much as I could and yes it could be a video camera – a very large video camera by today’s standards.
And if so, where are his pictures? ‘Cause I think we’re seeing only melon guy’s pics.
I can’t see the photos, but my intuition tells me that they are the clue to solving the puzzle. “What is going on there?” and “What is the significance of this field?” were two sentences from Lt. Rader’s press conference that kept puzzling me, and I thought they must have found evidence of some activities which they could not describe in more detail because it would compromise the investigation. There was a strange smile on his face when asked about evidence found on the scene.
Melon guy’s picture #30 is the one that creeps me out the most.

The two events I referenced in my earlier post (that I likewise made reference to/disclosed on the BOC thread when Morgan’s body was first discovered) took place many years ago. As noted, parties and events–including large, outdoor “field parties”, have been far from uncommon at AF.
The dinner party and outdoor party I attended were both hosted by the same individual–one who lived in the large tenant house for over 15 yrs. LE is has already vetted this individual, per my direct discussions with LE following discovery of Morgan’s body on AF.
I hope the above clarifies and allays any residual concerns that may have arisen from my earlier post.
Given his age and the offenses noted, it seems odd that the person discussed in post #13 was ever a resident of 1600 Gordon Avenue, aka Martha Jefferson House, an independent/assisted living facility and infirmary for senior citizens. I guess technically, someone 55 qualifies as a senior citizen, at least according to our local Senior Center. It would seem more probable that his parents would have lived at the House. Of course, I’ve been surprised by a lot of things I’ve read, so maybe this man was a resident, or either lived on the property in an employee position.

Melon Guy seems like a fairly normal guy and he lives in Richmond. Maybe he was just a guest out there for the party and sleepover but his pictures are worth a thousand words. In that they were taken all over that farm and apparently he and his friends didn’t see or smell anything that would warrant calling the police. That in itself could be important.
Anybody else freaked out by the dates on those uploads? About 10 – 15 of them were listed as 10/28 but the rest were uploaded 11/11. What else significant was listed as happening on 11/11? Same day Morgan’s shirt was found on 15th and Grady.

Oh also, I have a co-worker who is artsy, into literature and follows Wiccan theory, the winter soltice, all which I know nothing of. So, my first question I asked her was, does the term 7mile mean anything to you? She spontaneously responded the occult.( though the # 7 is supposed to be peaceful) Now, don’t you all freak, I was curious to see what she might say. I remember you mentioning something about that. Any idea why the media is printing the 11th? Does LE have a reason for keeping the 5th hush hush? Or is it purely the common theme of Morgan’s case – conflicting journalism?
It is my personal opinion that is when it was found based on conversations I have had, which I am not permitted to quote. I think the 11th is either when it was turned over to VSP or sent for testing.
My source could be wrong, but I am sticking by it.

Just wanted to chime in that it doesn’t seem all that unusual for a perp to conceal a body on his/her own property to protect the remains from discovery. I don’t think that is what happened here. But I think the perp did feel he/she had some degree of “control” over the remains on the AF. Which tells me he/she doesn’t have his/her own acreage to use as a body dump.
The photos by “Mellon” of the AF tree line in the days directly following Morgan’s death are really creepy. Could be a coincidence. Could be a pretty sneaky way of memorializing the tree line a keepsake. Blink, any idea if they were revealed to LE?

PS. I hope this doesn’t sound insensitive, but Morgan’s last minutes were spent on a piece of heaven on earth. Knowing she was surrounded by such history, grandeur and beautiful brings some comfort. I pray the Harringtons are not offended by my comment. I just see the hand of God everywhere in those pictures. He painted the most beautiful living canvas in that area. That is some of the loveliest country I have ever laid eyes on.

Sorry Observer. I may have been unaware, or not on BOC at the time you clarified your association to AF. I find pix 35 a little odd. What is that by his arm?
More importantly, it would seem that the events or press releases which occurred just prior to the date that the shirt was placed in the bush may be what motivated someone to display it on that date and in that particular location.
So, the question is: What was being announced or reported in the first week of November 2009?
Was it the necklace that was shown on the news and reported by the state police or the announcement that Morgan was seen hitchhiking?
Blink- seeing these pics of at least 3 people 1 girl 2 guys walking all around AF in Oct- has your theory changed on when Morgan was placed there?
By the way I too would hope LE has the video from that camera- and also in the pic showing an auburn haired woman kneeling in front of melon guy, by the creek, the next pic in the series shows just her arms up in a picture taken stance- I would also hope if she did take photos,those pics were also given to LE-

Well, it seems that the search was the weekend of November 6th and the hitchhiking and necklace descriptions came out on the 13th. Why did I read that the shirt was found on the 15th?
I don’t mean to imply that I think that female is Morgan. I just wonder – besides the 2 guys we can identify – who is the female and who ELSE was there?
