Kyron Horman Missing and Endangered: Grand Jury Meets, Indictment Imminent
Portland, OR- In the case of missing 7-year-old Portland child Kyron Horman, developments today continue to unfold at lightening speed.
During a poorly-kept secret convening of a special grand jury that is in session today, sources inside the investigation believe it’s triers of fact will return an indictment against Terri Horman and possibly one other individual.
It is however, unclear as to whether or not the grand jury is hearing evidence in the alleged murder for hire plot MCSO informed Kaine Horman his wife had master-minded, OR evidence surrounding the disappearance of Kaine and Desiree Young’s son Kyron.
KOIN caught Terri Horman’s friend DeDe Spicher, who was subpoenaed to appear in the proceedings this morning, on video with her attorney, entering the courthouse. Spicher was the subject of a public plea asking her to cooperate with investigators by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young last week. A neighbor of Spicher’s has confirmed the FBI has been seen removing boxes and unknown bagged material from her residence.
According to several sources, DeDe Spicher, Terri’s roommate post Kaine’s restraining order, was working in a garden near the Horman home the day of Kyron’s disappearance when she received a call at approximately 11:15 am. She left abruptly, returning at approximately 1:00 pm. DeDe was unreachable on her cell phone during that time and the property owner became concerned. Spicher is a long time friend and workout companion of Horman’s.
Earlier today, Laura Rackner, Kaine Horman’s Family Law attorney filed a motion to find out where the funds are coming from to foot the bill for Terri Horman’s high profile criminal defense attorney, Stephen Houze.
In Horman’s motion, he is seeking the disclosure of the payments made to Houze, and whether or not it came from marital funds. If it has, Kaine Horman wants half the cash to pay his own legal bills. Kaine Horman alleges that Terri Horman disclosed to a third party that she paid a whopping $350,000 retainer to Houze, however, provided no proof of same in the papers filed today.
In what appears to be a media timing coup, tonight’s episode of Dateline NBC will feature Kaine Horman, Desiree and Tony Young, with interviews and coverage of Kyron’s disappearance.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer, Mary Lindstrand, has announced a press conference tomorrow at the MCSO Training Facility, beginning at 2:00 pm PST.

All this talk of gunfire on Sheltered Nook Rd I find a little unsettling. I just hope “High Noon Horman” doesn’t have an itchy trigger finger. There’s lots of night sounds in them thar woods that could be misconstrued for an intruder.
Not to make light of a tragic situation, but I’m not sure this is the right approach. However, it might be possible that he is doing this on purpose hoping the word gets out as a stern warning to TH not to try any more of her tricks.
Because of the extreme amount of stress that Kaine has gone through during this tragedy, I hope he is getting some really good therapy and counseling. I don’t think a counselor would advocate firing at will as a stress reliever.

I can’t imagine Kaine H. NOT having a gun! Good Heavens, Terri Horman is still walking around freely. Her RAGE must be at an all time high at this point in time. She is a clear danger to Kaine, and I wouldn’t put anything past her. I think she is going to try to find some way to get Kiara back…even if she has to hide her with friends. I’m sure that Kaine has had the locks changed, and alarm systems installed, and has taken every precaution possible. However, as long as TH is walking free, she is a danger! She is truly a mental case, and will do anything to get back at Kaine. You bet I would have a gun, a shotgun and a Klock, and I would shoot first, ask questions later. It’s called SELF DEFENCE!
Good grief , I’m sure lil Kiara has heard it before ~ & if Kaine can relieve his anxiety over the loss of his son by target shooting (which many do in our area) we live in the country~ big deal ~as long as his target isnt sporting a RED RED wig~!

If you look at her linked in under education it does not list “masters degree”.
Her education is listed as NW Christian College. Nothing about pacific U. According to linked in she hasnt been in school in 10 years.
Just FYI.
A masters degree does not make for a person to look up to~!(epecially when you can obtain a degree online) Common sense~moral judgement is more important to me ~ I know that several degrees require nothing but the hours ~ not the real knowledge~ ~not real life knowledge~ just book knowledge~and trust me ~!there is a difference~plus I firmly believe in trusting in the what God has given us for guidelines in our lives

“(epecially when you can obtain a degree online)” is completely off topic. Who cares about Terri’s degrees? and whether she got them by doing an OnLine program or brick and mortar university program? We know that she lies, and we know she is involved in some aspect of Kyron’s disappearance. Isn’t that the issue here?
I would think that that Kyrons wall would be being watched as they say the perp always returns to the place of the crime right?
I find it disgusting how a HUMAN BEING would do something so sick and selfish. I would hope they get someone to watch that spot or put some cameras there. I CANNOT believe they didnt actually.

I heard that Terri has not been seen coming in or out of her parents home in Roseburg for awhile. Has anyone else heard this? That would mean that she has been placed somewhere else for safety issues. I asked this question before but I need to know who Brian Pumala’s PARENTS are and where they live? What has he been up to since this all started? Has he left Oregon anytime since this started or his wife?Blink if you have any information I’d really appreciate it, Thanks.

Most master’s degree programs are 36 hours and up. She could have gotten a reading “endorsement” as part of her bachelor’s degree, but reading specialist requires a master’s degree. It is a highly specialized field involving learning how to teach children with dyslexia, etc.
This case simply does not move ahead step by step – it’s impossible to think about without going back to previous paperwork, interviews, etc. to try to make sense of it.
So far, we don’t know for certain this is happening:

It appears that a landowner and guests are entitled to discharge a firearm when the discharge will not endanger adjacent persons or property, however, a city may regulate discharge of firearms. The Horman residence is in an unincorporated area of West Multnomah County.
The first thing I would do if I heard gunfire coming from that property is to call 911. I question the “hours on end” even if it is happening, but I’m sure some reporter(s) will have the audio for us if, indeed, it is.
I can understand if Kaine thought he should arm himself, although I think hiring a guard with a dog might be a better choice. I don’t know if he has ever used guns, but if not, with the stress he’s under, it’s a tough time to learn. And he has a small child in the house – one who has been used to doing pretty much whatever she pleased if you believe Terri’s facebook comments – so he must (please!) take proper precautions to secure any guns.
The RO answers lead me to believe they did not have guns in the house already since TH was still living in the house and would have had access to them at the time this form was completed, unless he took any guns with him when he quickly moved out. (Sorry – I typed the excerpts from the RO since I couldn’t get it to copy into the comment box.)

I found the last answer very sad. Kaine knew about the DUI – at one point, he said he thought they had worked through those problems. Now, he’s looking back and not sure he even knows who this woman is and whether she has ever been arrested/convicted of a violent crime. Kaine is 4 years younger than Terri, which normally wouldn’t matter in my book, but given the circumstances, it wouldn’t surprise me if that were one more card in the house of cards in which the Horman’s lived. I think Kaine was not only seriously manipulated, but emotionally abused in the process, not something easy to recognize or admit, even in hindsight, without counseling. I hope he knows men can also be victims and if that turns out to be the case, he will find the support he needs to speak up and to deal with it.

Cassie, not to sound like I’m not hearing you, the point is that she LIED about having lots of education. And I must say, as the holder of a Master’s Degree in Education, it took work to earn it: child psychology, child development, statistics, student teaching, library science skills, learning modern math and new scientific methods (we were in labs actually performing experiments) etc. I think, though I believe in God, that school was essential for me to be the teacher I was proud to be. Yes. I worked a lot with migrant children in Upstate NY (in the summer) as part of my coursework. We took a bus in the wee hours of the morning to the potato fields to pick the children up and take them to my college where they studied math, reading, creative thinking and social skills. Otherwise, kids would work in the fields all day. They loved it.
One more thing, before I beat a dead horse, all those “typicals” she is so trained in teaching… I’ve never heard of that term. Maybe it’s a Western term with which I’m just not familiar. And the ADD, ADHD, etc., etc. students are very specialized and they used to be under the category of Special Education- even more training.
It took me 4 years of undergrad school and 2 years of grad school, since I was working at the time while going to school. She had high school and 2 years of college according to her LinkedIn page. Actually, it’s good that she didn’t waste all that extra time studying since she’ll NEVER teach kids again.
In case you haven’t checked out Pacific University in Forest Grove, it’s a great school, but VERY expensive. Hard to believe that would have been her choice when state schools were much cheaper.
There are a lot of rumors swirling around here regarding DDS and what she knows regarding this case. She may just hold the “key” to Kyron’s location and it is not good news. We’ll see what the next couple of days brings. I pray it’s just “rumor”.
@Chianme – Sounds like you have done some fascinating work – “typicals” may be referring to “neurotypical” which is a term used to describe the “average” person’s way of understanding and responding to the world (social interaction, especially) and comparing their behaviors to others who may have neurological disorders, usually on the autism spectrum – Asperger’s, for example. Too complex to include here, but pretty easy to check out online if you want.
At this point, I’d have to say Terri herself is about as far from “typical” as you’d ever hope to see, regardless of the reasons. Whatever her training, I find the term “typicals” insensitive (to both groups) in that context and would never include it in a professional resume or public discussion, even though there could be some legitimate use for the term. It also wouldn’t surprise me, if in her great wisdom and extensive educational background, she hadn’t decided Kyron exhibited some sort of atypical problem and then became very frustrated by that.

She is in Portland thus not appearing in Roseburg. There’s a grand jury going on. She has been at the courthouse at least once this week, Monday. My neighbors were taking a walk and saw her and her lawyer coming out of the courthouse and getting into a car. My neighbor, who happens to be a photographer, had his camera. He got a close in shot of her so she definitely was there.

Ok, gotta put my two cents in about the gun fire, I’m from Kentucky born and bred, and I didn’t even blink when I read where he was shooting to let off some steam. That’s is not out of the norm for me. I seriously doubt he’s shooting at all hours or hours on end though. I would think he’s spending most of his free time with Kiara helping her adjust. Then again what do I know, he SHOULD be spending most of his time doing that at any rate. I understand from what I’ve read that he’s not gone back to work full time yet so there would be no reason for a live in baby-sitter and I don’t think he’d leave Kiara alone while he was outside shooting. He goes to the gym occasionally to get rid of stress as well so I think somebody overstated the amount of time he target practices.
One thing I’ve learned is not to put to much into what reports like that state. The other thing I’ve learned is that a report like that lets TH or anyone else know that he’s armed and they might want to think twice about trying anything, which is probably why it was mentioned at all. For THAT I say “aim steady and squeeze”.
Thoughts and prayers are with Kyron, his brothers and sister.

I echo your assessment about Tanner Pumala and I’d bet dollars to donuts there was a reason his grandmother dismissed LE’s advice and put him on camera. That didn’t sit right with me either. Poor form at the very least. I also think Brian Pumala might be a supporting character when more info is revealed.
I shared your thoughts about a possible love affair (cougar-style, as he is a 29 year old frat guy who likes monster trucks and beer according to his Myspace) Why did his wife to move to AZ? It all seems a bit too coincidental, timing-wise. to dismiss completely.
It was mentioned a while back by a fellow poster, Maebee, that Brian Pumala was at the science fair on Friday and had an “electric presentation” that Kyron was excited to see. If true, this puts Brian at the scene and may point to him as an accomplice. Or it could be completely coincidental or maybe he has already been ruled out by LE. The report was specific to Brian learned about Kyron “from the news” in the evening.
Not that this means much but I saw a truck that said “Mr. Electric” and a licence plate that read: Jst West on the road this week. I typically don’t give any credence to things like this but I believe anything is possible in regards to this case. Open minds, open hearts I say.

I hope the “vandalism” at the Wall provides a real lead. Otherwise, it’s more wasted time for investigators who can’t just dismiss it.
I’m sure they’re analyzing the writing, the possible meanings, etc. “Special K” could refer to a drug; it could refer to a pet name only those close to Ky used for him; it could hint at a serial crime (Special K is a cereal; cereal sounds like serial); and so on.
If it’s a reference to a drug of abuse (is a popular club drug, similar to Ecstasy) then there are implications there.
OR, maybe this is vandalism by someone under the influence of Special K drug. Maybe someone who posts at other websites and whose postings go from coherent to the babbling of someone seriously effed up/maybe under the influence. Someone who posted that he was riding around the area doing his own investigation. Hmmm…who do we know…

It seems unlikely, to me, that an adult is had an exibit at a grade school science fair. Or maybe someone from the Skyline community can answer this; Did some adults make presentations at the science fair?
Special K has been a nick name that 3 people on a forum have been using for Kyron.
I am speculating that since two of them are psychics, maybe they thought it was appropriate to write it as a message to Kaine….In my opinion it was in poor taste and I am hoping it was not someone guilty of Kyron’s disappearance.
Does everyone believe that Kyron is really being stashed somewhere? If I was going to stash a child; my reasoning would be to protect that child from someone or because I wanted to cause pain to the other parties(Kyron’s bio-mom and father). It is the only thing that would make sense.According to Kyron’s parents and the LE; they have no evidence to believe he is dead.I really can’t see DeDe Spicher getting off on killing a child or knowing her friend did it. So, yes I believe he is being stashed by someone and for very good reason. DeDe has that smug”just you wait and see” look on her face, when she came out of the GJ. Call me crazy but I feel that the Pumala’s,DeDe,and God only knows whoelse are definately involved and will not talk unless the have immunity. I don’t see a problem with KH going to a gun range and shooting to relieve a little stress. My husband does the same thing sometimes after a very stressful day at work (oh, and he has a BA from an Ivy League school in Classic Literature of the English Renaissance too). He has even taken me out target-shooting before and it’s pretty fun. The gun range he belongs to even has a little cowboy village, where they have cowboy shooting competitions. It’s a great way to blow off a little steam and to learn how to handle guns safely. JMO.

That’s where I’ve viewed the video of Tanner Pumula’s interview. He does not say anything about an electrical exibit. But in that article Blink writes;

Blink: I am sorry to say I have become a victim of a website I thought had inside info on Kyron – http://www.godlikeproductions.com. I am a newbie to all this and recently started reading and posting since after learning about Kyron.
I have to admit I was duped and am somewhat embarrassed…but, I have learned a valuable lesson. I am attaching my recent posting to the Administrator of the above website.
I want these people exposed for playing games with a child’s life. I (along with numerous others)really believed this was a posting by Dee Dee’s cousin (Jonesr)…and, it may very well turn out that it was.
Regardless, he and some others who were part of this charade need to be exposed and hopefully dealt with accordingly.
I may be asking for too much – but, I believe there are still enough kind and caring people with strong morals and ethics who feel this is NOT cool to play games with other’s lives!

Sounds like the only agency that is going to find this boy is the FBI. the local LE means well but isn’t very well equipted. Much like the LE in SC that couldn’t find the Brittanee girl and it looks like the same 2 brothers tried to steal a gal and rape again earlier this week. The LE’s in the entire country need to Step up the Pace. I live in Fl. We have it bad here. Our LE’s are on consistant donut breaks.
I still go back to Kaine Horman knows more about his wackado wife than he think he does.
There’s nothing really wrong with him target shooting, but, it’s bad timing, which definitely indicates his true personality. Men have tunnel vision.
It takes 2 people to be dysfunctional in any relationship. Kaine, if you are reading this, get your wifes cell records for the past year. Call every number. Talk and make friends with every person at the gym, get a reading on Terri’s where abouts. Talk to teachers from that school. Ask the same thing. Go through any and all ATM transactions to locate grocery and other purchases..that will lead you to places she frequented. Post your sons picture at every truck stop and convenience sore in a 500 mile radius of the school. That car HAD to stop for gas! Look for weird purchases……boxes, bags, shovels, duck tape…..
If you and Desiree and Tony really search hard you will find clues. They are there. No way, she kept this totally to herself. think about where you have been with her, everyday that you can remember in the past 12 months. Write it all down and share this mass of info with desiree. There is no one that wants that boy more than his bio mom. If I lived close to you, we would be friends by now and I would be helping you. Everyone needs to stop typing and HELP THIS FAMILY. TH is an idiot….move on and find the boy.
You can find out about a person when you have been oblivious…….you just have to start somewhere and don’t give up. Terri’s life will lead you to Kyron…if she is involved.
About TH extensive education and, particularly her master’s degree. My son just received his International MBA this past May. He went to school for 2 years, 4 nights a week, 4 hours a night, at Arizona State. They even had some Saturday classes. It was a very intense and extensive program. He’s interviewing for a job in China this month. If TH received a masters degree with only 25 hours course work, I’d be dubious about what she really learned and if she was even qualified to teach children, especially those with any type of disability. If it was that easy to obtain a higher degree, wouldn’t we all have one??? And I agree, it is important to Kyron’s disappearance because it goes to the character of TH and her ability to lie about all aspects of her life. Like she wanted to be so much more than she was.
For those of you who have seen/photographed TH at her attorney’s office or elsewhere at least once this week and possibly twice, please note there are certain posters on this website who never post during those times (sometimes before or after but never during). Am I the only one who noticed this? Those same certain posters are always defensive of TH and always trying to distract the readers with other stories and scenarios, and always pointing the finger ANYWHERE but at her and claiming they work with LE or spoke to LE or whatever. Also it seems that when certain things are said by other posters, these above-mentioned certain posters will jump in in defense, as if the other posters are getting too close to the truth. Yah, yah, probably all just coincidences, just sayin’.
It was verified that the poster was verified as being DeDe’s actual cousin a while back. It was on one of Portland’s local tv websites but I can’t recall which one. I don’t read godlikeproductions. It is a weird site. There are many out there.
Ava, I am not sure of that report of Brian Pumala having been at the science fair. I haven’t seen anything from Blink, or any other media outlet, to suggest that is true; just the poster Maebee apparently. I have no idea where she got that information. IF it’s true, then I agree, it makes this case that much more interesting.
From all that I know, it is just an assumption that he might’ve been there; based on the fact that Tanner says Kyron allegedly told Tanner he was going to see an electrical project; and the fact that Brian Pumala is studying/practicing to be an electrician. As far as I know, we have no proof Pumala was there whatsoever. But, I believe that might have been inferred by some, because of the fact that Terri’s cell phone pinged on Sauvie Island that day, and Pumala just so happens to live there.
Let’s say that Tanner’s statement was dismissed by police, as it seems to have been. Why is that? Did he come back and say that he made it up? Did LE find some other witness/evidence to contradict Tanner? If they discounted his sighting, to me, that discounts the whole “electrical project” thing that Kyron supposedly said he went to see. Granted, I could be wrong. I just don’t put much stock in the Fuhrer/Pumala stuff.
Who’s to say, for example, that Tanner’s Grandma — who might be upset that Brian divorced her daughter, decided he cheated on her with Terri, and was using her grandson to get back at both Terri and Brian? Just an example of a possible explanation — I have no proof. In fact I just don’t think Brian Pumala is involved. But it would not be so hard for me to believe that the grandma might’ve coached Tanner what to say, in order to point speculation towards Brian.

Since you live near the Skyline school, have parents looked into RS Landscape Maintenance, Rudy S, Anselmo S, the white truck driven by the landscapers, etc??
I know they’re reluctant to talk about the investigation itself, but seems like if any of them know about Blink’s work here, they’d be looking up Rudy’s other clients, and the truck.
Are parents aware of so much more than we are here? Enough to make them comfortable with school starting again on Sept.7?

Rumor…DDS knows via TH where Kyron is…remember just a rumor. I believe DDS is expected before the GJ today and that she will receive immunity. I will provide a link when there is further verification.

There is speculation that Terri is not living at her parent’s home. Is she living here in Portland? Does anyone know? If her lawyer was seen driving her away from the court house where was he taking her?
When the police confiscated Terri’s phone it would seem natural that she would ask a friend to get her another phone. I would think the police would be on the ball and able to intercept messages. I am not sure why it was news that a friend got her a cell phone.

I can not believe she isn’t missing her daughter like crazy. I think the most noticeable fact is that she never made any public comments about how much she misses Kyron and her daughter. She has never made a public statement that she was not involved with Kyron’s disappearance. In my mind that puts her and in a lot of people’s minds that she is at the top of the list.
