On what is Kyron Horman’s 8th Birthday, the Skyline School, where Kyron was scheduled to begin the third grade, is buzzing with the start of the years activities without him.

In response to the disappearance and presumed abduction of the bespectacled herpetologist; Skyline has implemented a myriad of mandatory safety features as well as a state of the art security camera system. While complete with facial recognition capability, one face it will not be recognizing today, is that of Kyron Horman.
Although missing since the morning of June 4, 2010, there have been no updates from the many State and Federal agencies participating in the criminal investigation of his disappearance since August 12, 2010.
Adding to the mounting concern about the status of Kyron’s fate are the words of his own parents, Kaine Horman and Desiree Young.
“The police will not stop until they find Kyron and the harder they have to search–the harder this will get for you,” wrote Young. “You will go to jail and whoever has been helping you will have to talk police or they will go to jail.”
It is clear from Kaine and Desiree’s comments that they believe Terri Horman, Kyron’s step mom, is at least partially responsible for Kyron vanishing. While they stop short of naming any possible accomplices, Rod Underhill, the chief deputy district attorney of Multnomah County, Captain Jason Gates, Detective Bob O’Donnell of the Multnomah County Sheriff Office have sought the publics help to flush them out. Multnomah County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill said a witness, or witnesses, have reported seeing someone else by the Hormans’ extended-cab pickup while it was parked in front of the school between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared. In what was characterized as a slip-up, methinks that that Kyron’s Mom told us that someone was actually Kyron.
While Terri Horman is holed up at her parents newly refinanced home in Roseburg and under the mortgage-sized retainer protection of Stephen Houze; she is awaiting the September 21st contempt hearing for allegedly violating an order that she not disclose the “sealed” reasoning for, or contents of, the current restraining order in effect against her.

Rodolfo “Rudy” Estrada Sanchez
When reached at one of the numbers records show is billed in his brothers name, Jaime Estrada Sanchez, who uses the name Jaime Estrada on his carpet cleaning business website declined to comment to blinkoncrime.com and the number has since been disconnected.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a close family friend who has since been interviewed by the FBI, has confirmed that Terri Horman is pointing her finger directly at Sanchez. She has also stated that she and Sanchez had an altercation after she attempted to end their relationship in May which ended in a 911 call and a visit from Clackamas County Sheriff Office in the presence of Sanchez’s wife and children. While it did not result in any charges, Horman told the source that the landscaper was furious with her because he is not in the US legally. While blinkoncrime.com has not been able to verify the date of the alleged 911 call, we have been able to verify that Terri called her Mother immediately following the incident and told her that Kaine had found out about the landscaper she hired to do what she referred to as “her yardwork” and when she informed him that she could no longer use him because Kaine was making her fire him, he lunged at her with Kiara in her arms. Kaine Horman denies the couple ever hired the landscaper as well as any previous information as to his estranged wife’s possible dealings with Sanchez.
It should be noted that Mr. Sanchez has not been charged with any crime in this matter and local references to his business are highly complimentary. In fact, Jean Ann Van Krevelen a friend and “mentor” of Dede Spicher has used RS Landscape Maintenance on a few occasions, leaving positive reviews on the ServiceMaster listing which deleted his business from the site on 6/21/10. Heather Walters, owner of Rosemont Farm,which is not West Wind Farm, where Dede Spicher was working the morning of June 4th and out of reach by phone from approximately 90 minutes, has never met Terri Horman or heard of their family prior to Kyron’s disappearance. When I asked her if she knew Rudy Sanchez or if she ever hired his firm to work at WWF, she replied “not that I recall, no, but we did have a blackberry clean up a few years ago so it is possible.”

Although records indicate that he was placed under post probation supervision by ICE on February 19, 2010, according to Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez Federal criminal docket after being “found in the US and apprehended” in August 2009” following a previous deportation in 2003, he was “administratively arrested” on February 23, 2010. A Federal Grand Jury’s subsequent indictment was issued on March 4 and he was immediately incarcerated.
Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez rap sheet includes convictions for rape, failure to register as a sex offender and a host of probation and parole violations prior to his deportation.
In what can only be categorized as a bizarre coincidence, Oregon BOP VINE network shows that on June 26, 2010, they very day of the “sting” involving Rudy Sanchez, Anselmo was transferred and released to “community supervision”. There is no record of either his transfer or his booking by MCSO July 8th on his docket. What is reflected on the record for June 21st, is the US Marshall Service requested a rescheduling of his plea hearing on July 1st - July 12th directly with the presiding judge outside of his Federal appointed defense attorney. Yep. Exparte. Mr. Sanchez attorney Allison Clark used the 7/12/10 court date to file a motion to quit the case. They have subsequently worked through their differences and were scheduled to appear yesterday, but a 4th continuance in the case was granted to reschedule for October 7, 2010. In that motion, Ms. Clark asserts that Mr. Sanchez has been in custody the entire time but that his records are difficult to retrieve so more time to prepare for trial is necessary. I’ll say.

Up until a few weeks ago, she was also very much the object of accusation by Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, as well as the investigators assigned to Kyron’s case. So much so, they released a flyer featuring the ginger ladies and the infamous white truck. LE has subsequently backed off of Spicher and publicly stated they do not believe it was her in the white truck in the lot of the Skyline School. Dede’s father is a semi-retired Klamath County Sheriff deputy. If it can be confirmed Spicher knew Kyron was missing on June 4th we have a very big problem.

Michael Cook
The source of both information for the contempt filing and hundreds of sexts exchanged between he and Terri Horman following Kaine Horman’s filing for divorce and leaving the marital residence as advised by MCSO, Michael Cook was a high school classmate of Kaine Horman.
Mr. Cook is also one smarmy dude if his former spouse Shannon has anything to say about it.
Oddly, blinkoncrime.com has learned from an inside source that Cook was not called before the grand jury to testify. In the instant action for contempt, Kaine Horman’s attorney Laura Rackner specifically references the “sexting” and the text regarding Houze’s fee as information provided by law enforcement.
So, was he acting as an agent for le or is he himself under investigation?
Jason Wishert
William Jason Wishert is undoubtedly wishing he had not interjected himself in this case. Apparently new to the blogosphere via a request from Maxine Bernstein of the Oregonian, Mr. Wishert took to what he saw as his *nuveau*cause*celeb* status with moxy.
That was until he announced his appearance on the scaredmonkeys.net forum to answer questions about the case and cry the blues when he accused the Oregonian of using his rough notes to skewer Dede Spicher. According to Wishert the “not a lot of kissing but plenty of telling” memo was not supposed to be published. About 3 minutes into his introduction to his “sleuthing public” Wishert was asked why he spelled his name incorrectly and if he was indeed the son of convicted child porn possessor William Kent Wishart. In a really bad move, Mr. Wishert denied the allegation and retreated with his tail somewhere on his person.
Kent Wishart, former CEO of Graphic Sciences, is in Federal Custody for the next 4 years for possession of child porn and engaging in a file sharing subscription for same. Jason’s brother Grant is an employee of GS. All three Wishert’s hold numerous active and inactive business licenses throughout Oregon and Washington. Graphic Sciences has a Mexican affiliate office.
Both Jason and his brother James Grant have had numerous legal entanglements (editor’s note: say it just like Chief Margie with the flat “a”) and our attempts to substantiate Jason’s claims about court appointed child advocacy certifications have yet to be confirmed.
However, with his Uncle John Kerr, Jason Wishert is heavily involved in the Friends of Pimpollo Charity which sponsors various children issues and an orphanage in Mexico. FOP is a verified charity with a 50% tax deduction rate according to IRS Publication 78 in good standing, but they are years behind in their annual reporting.

Today, Kyron Horman’s eigth birthday, may not bring us any closer to where our frog prince is, but we do wish to extend our thoughts and prayers in celebration of his special day to his parents, friends and family. @puzzled: In answer to your questions – a) there are tons of missing children, and b) some people believe that mainstream media and LE at all levels have a longstanding agreement, if you will, to assist one another toward the most “judicious” end. IOW, minimize the public’s fear factor.

and @ Mockingbird and Kaylee: Anyway, hope it helps someone, and yes, you’re right about our biases sinking in. I *do* believe TH was specifically/actively involved, not accidentally, and while I know that there is much for us to know, I admit to having formed some feelings about it. It’s one of the reasons I have been silent, even though I’ve been reading, and I appreciate/evaluate the other posts, based on my own limited knowledge and bias and add or subtract mentally based on the new info. And I readily, easily, freely admit to agreeing with Seamus.
Do I think he’s right? Yeah, and what does that mean? Nothing.
It’s just means that what he writes makes sense to me, and fits into the framework of what I believe, too. SO I apologize if I came across as “Seamus is right, here’s your explanation”. I didn’t mean it that way. I’m Seamus-biased based on his first analysis re: Kaine’s statements. I think many of us have a hard time being completely neutral, at least at this point, and some people lean more towards a TH guilt and involvement (and use the facts to support same) and some lean away from TH direct involvement guilt (and use the facts to support same). I envy those who can maintain a completely neutral position–that would be the best approach.
Re: Seamus, though, I think his info is interesting regardless of mindset. And I’ll also add that if I’m wrong in what I believe, and I find out that TH was actually Kyron’s savior and forced into this by evil demons from Hell, I will sing the Hallelujah chorus and be the happiest clam. I just want Kyron back. Now that I’m on the WC again, I want to go to the Wall, but I’m afraid I’ll just lose it, so I’m getting my inner resolve together before making the trip. Okay, enough from me. I’m going to go back to the 10,000 foot level now. I’m still trying for 30,000 Blink. I think it’s my rear section that’s having a hard time with gravity.
Regarding children traveling – I recently travelled with my 7 and 11 year old children. I was told when I booked the flight that I would need a birth certficate with me for both, however, when I went to check-in I wasn’t asked for anything and nothing on the way back as well. This was a domestic flight.
Hmm. Perhaps an interesting coincidence. Multnomah County Commissioner Diane McKeel (District 4, serving Gresham, Troutdale/Fairview) is at the forefront of human trafficking issues. I wonder if there’s a reason Staton mentioned that area. Could she be lending more of her resources to the investigation due to that angle? Completely and totally MOO. Just thought it was an interesting angle. As soon as Staton mentioned that area, my thought went to her and her work.

There are many missing children in Oregon. The media is a money making enterprise and make decisions on covering cases that have some sensationalism involved because it is all about ratings. They are no conscience driven machine.
LE goes on the assumption at times that it is better to keep it to the vest rather than cause a panic where there is a large problem with no easy solution. It is rampant, it is international, it involves powerful persons, therefore it is near impossible to stop. A case with few details released gets little if any attention. Kyron’s case involved a child going missing from school, so it was different in that aspect and LE, Desiree and Kaine aluding to Terri being involved sparked a witch hunt that carried it’s own crazy momentum.
I had wished this case was simple from the start and kept trying to keep it simple, until it was evident it no longer was simple. I am thankful for the great investigation done in this case. My prayers are with Kyron’s family and all LE. LE is well aware of sexual abuse, perversion, and every creepy sociopathic and psychopathic behavior. They encounter it every day. There are some things that no human with empathy wants to know about.
God bless the men and women who must muck through such depths of hell to help bring a child home.

How possible is it that Terri had $$$’s, ill-gotten gains via her LS bf, in some sort of a bank account her husband didn’t know about and that she fronted the retainer fee to her attorney from said bank account?

Blink was the one who originally said very early on that she believed the crime was “sexually motivated” although she did not elaborate specifically on this (correct me if I’m wrong Blink).
@cd – yes I have been thinking about planes too, since the recent press conference about what we might find shocking. Horrible thoughts. Don’t organized crime members take people over the ocean and push them out? Hope I’m wrong on every bad thought I have. I sure hope the “30,000 feet” comments of the past couple of weeks back don’t play into this.
It’s hard enough to think of ANYONE doing any kind of harm to a child in any way. But someone with children, like say, RS, how could you do or have done to a child something you wouldn’t do, or allow someone else to do, to your own children? It’s difficult for the mind to process this. And this whole idea of taking Kyron for revenge or whatever, Idunno….even criminals don’t like it when someone harms children – you always hear prison stories about child molesters getting beaten up in prison or having to be isolated so someone won’t kill them or whatever. It just seems most of the time when you hear a child has been harmed, it’s because of either 1) a bad/crazy parent or 2) a stranger/predator, but you don’t hear that many stories about a child being harmed by an acquaintance for revenge.

Even though we don’t know for sure about the Dr. Appt. or why she took the truck that morning, we DO know she didn’t walk him all the way to his class and check him in with someone and that is just too damn convenient. And it obviously didn’t bother her for very long, i.e., the thumbs up and “everything’s good” comment to the press and sexting MC not long after Kyron was gone…these are not the actions of someone who loved him and was concerned with his disappearance one bit. All MOO.
It is interesting that all we now know are things that Blink already told us a long time ago. So why don’t Desiree and Kaine know what Blink knows? Or do they know and choose to stay in denial? Poor things….

I wonder if TH was into the drug scene either dealing or using drugs herself. Maybe she couldn’t pay her supplier and she was told “either pay up or I take one or both of your kids”. She negotiated with a go-between and opted to use Ky as payment for her debt. Arranged the time and place..and you know the rest. Possibility? Would explain her actions after June 4th. So, she truly does not know what ultimately happened to him and I think it showed on her poly depending how they worded the questions. I think one of the questions was “do you know where Kyron is”.

To me, looking at things from 30,000 feet means looking at the bigger picture. Maybe Kyron is just collateral damage in some large ugly mess. It’s hard to understand that not all adults value human life – especially relatively new, fragile life. I’m worried about what else is going on that weighs so heavily on LE, especially because I’m a local.
@Kimberly: I did read the E list and saw the Estradas, but the first names did not match up to any of the “known players” so I did not think much of it.
Your reposting it however inspired me to look up what some of those offenses actually were. (You kinda know by the title of charge.) Apparently the Alejandro Estrada has committed a “mandatory minimum” bunch of crimes.
The relevance to this case is that several of the charges we might think TMH would be charged with are on this list and are called “Measure 11″ charges. I read most but not all of this. (Time constraints). It is an interesting look into the legalities of this case if they are brought under the Measure 11 headings. It is an interesting read. I hope someone gets something out of it.
Oh and its a pity that “Using a child in display of sexually explicit conduct” carries the lowest number of months (70) and is in line with what would be given to someone committing second degree assault, robbery, or kidnapping. 6 years. Pffft.

ChiaPet: I have wondered as well about what info does LE and Blink have, that has them believing K has passed, and early on. I would hope that whatever that evidence is, would provide some insight as to the location, and the perp(s), but obviously it’s not that simple.
The Sheriff’s words and demeanor in the press conference scared me beyond belief. “There are things we know that we wish we did not know”
However frightening the sheriff’s words were, I also found comfort in the fact that they seem to be making progress on finding out what happened to that beautiful little boy.
I am also comforted by the fact that Blink believes they have a suspect in their sights.

I live in Troutdale, and when our little town got brought up at the press conference, it made perfect sense to me.
Here’s why:
We are pretty small and there are officers in our town that assist with gresham, fairview and etc. They each help each other.
I don’t think that them listing these small towns has much to do with anything other than we have the resources, (ie, extra man power) to help.
One thing that does perplex me is, Awhile back, and I’m not exactly sure who posted it, but IIRC there was mention of the relation between the mexican drug cartel and the russian sex trade or weapons.
Here in Troutdale, we have a “HHUUGGE” Russian population.
Maybe related to law enforcement from our area helping the case , and maybe not.

@ChiaPet517: Ditto x 100. I’m thinking similar thoughts. Scary, horrible thoughts that I don’t want to have. What could be so bad that LE would say “things we don’t want to know”? I don’t know that I can handle what may be coming. And I’m still having a really hard time believing that TH did help with the disappearance, because KH and DY are still so adamant about it. I mean, they know her a lot better than we do, and it would seem they must have information pushing their theory. Just when I thought I was getting a handle on this, pffft, not so sure. As for planes: I flew in a private Cessna for years and once you take off you can go just about anywhere without anyone knowing. Look what the “Barefoot Bandit” did. There are tons of tiny private airports and remote air strips.

I have never posted to a blog before but discovered Blink on Crime a couple of weeks after Kyron was missing when trying to keep up on the investigation. Does anyone find Blink’s link to the Estrada (Estrade)Carpet Cleaning business to be strange? The three “inserted” comments seem odd to me, and the photo of the baby looks like Kiara at a younger age although I was in no way looking for that or expecting to find something like that. I thought Blink had just included the link so we could see the photo of the brother. Maybe far-fetched. MOO Thanks.

Mockingbirdsings, this is the first I’ve heard of Rudy’s wife & kids. Actually, backing up a bit; Blink previously implied that she was aware of a wife. It was in the comments area of an old article.
Someone brought over a comment from one of the Portland TV news sites wherein someone else was defending the alledged MFH landscaper. It was something to the effect of; This lovely man has worked on my property and he would never do such a thing.
Blink’s reply was something to the effect; LOL, that’s his wife. I will excavate to see if I can find it.
Yesterday, I literally felt sick to my stomach after reading what I could on LE’s press conference. Reading the posts on BOC, yesterday and today, I don’t feel any better. I know some of you are feeling just as sad and somber as I am. Today, things aren’t much different.
What to say? What to post? I have nothing. All I have is a heavy heart for little Kyron Horman, who is not ordinary, on the contrary… to touch so many lives, he is very much extraordinary. I read this article just a bit ago (http://www.oregonlive.com/news/oregonian/anna_griffin/index.ssf/2010/09/reason_and_logic_have_no_place.html). I know exactly what the writer means. Faith, hope, miracles… there is no logic to them. If Desiree wants to believe in her heart that Kyron is alive, and he is coming home, I’m with her. If people want to have hope, I’m with that too. If Kyron, is no longer with us, then I pray we can give him the peace and justice he deserves in death, that he did not have in life.

I read Blink’s answer on whether or not she thinks that this will go to trial, or somebody be in jail before the year is out… her answer, “no”.

Maybe Elsy is the daughter of Ubaldo and wife/something to Jaime Estrada brother of Rudy Sanchez.
There is also an Alejandro Sanchez-Sanchez from Washington Co. from the prison website link Rich posted, and he is close in age to Anselmo (age 28), Alejandro is 27, but i know you can’t necessarily trust all the specific info, also with a rape charge. Geez, these guys..

Maybe Elys wasn’t so mad at RS about the affair, but wanted to get the H out of Dodge due to DHS as someone mentioned, the criminal activities, etc. Does the husband not really know where she is or is it (the custodial charge) just a way for LE to pick her up?
I have heard that now with the border getting tighter down South, they are resorting more to other methods to do the illegals deeds and one way I have heard is planes making drops in the ocean and boats without lights picking them up (guess this is mainly drugs) called ghost boats. Someone else on another site mentioned to check the Hillsboro airport, I don’t know if they had any specific info but it was an idea that I hadn’t thought of before, grab Kyron and fly away quickl, not too much longer to drive to the other side of the area either.
With some of these ideas coming out more and the statements from Sheriff Dan S. I know some of us are sicker than ever. We have to take care of ourselves as well, we cannot change the situation much now, it is up to the Task Force and DAs.
I know PDXers and other might also feel this city is really horrible, but did you read the article in the Oregonian about crime being the lowest since the 60s for 4 major OR cities? ((I tried to post something before and it had this in it, but don’t think it made it up, and that’s OK, it wasn’t too important and things can change a bit anyway, quite rapidly)

I’m a local also. I come from a family who worked in LE for decades. It is an extremely stressful environment. These folks are dedicated to public service at the expense of their own mental and physical well being in keeping our communities safe. Crime is ugly and it is real. My Father gave his life at age 53 in 1966 after years of public service. He was a “good cop”. I have the utmost respect for those in law enforcement. Their dedication is unyielding.

Thank you so much! It has really been bugging me. There are so many names floating around out there. Seems like it would be helpful to know at least the wife’s name since a spouse’s name often ends up on business registrations or connecting to the business of another relative.
The number (more than 2?) and ages of the children could be helpful as well. Then we could rule in or out the people who appear in the news such as Elsy, and perhaps connect other relatives. I’m sure not all relatives are in some criminal activity together, but when you are in a situation where you believe you cannot trust many people, relatives are really important.

I think it’s probably a rental house, but I haven’t found anything on the owner and wonder about him.

I have never posted to a blog before but discovered Blink on Crime a couple of weeks after Kyron was missing when trying to keep up on the investigation. Does anyone find Blink’s link to the Estrada (Estrade)Carpet Cleaning business to be strange? The three “inserted” comments seem odd to me, and the photo of the baby looks like Kiara at a younger age although I was in no way looking for that or expecting to find something like that. I thought Blink had just included the link so we could see the photo of the brother. Maybe far-fetched. MOO Thanks.

@melissab: there will ALWAYS be that group of citizens who want to know where there tax money is going to the cent, no matter what the case (listen to Glenn Beck lately? don’t flame..just sayin..gosh forbid our money goes to any social service ). We can validate and understand to a certain extent, but in the end we have to just accept that our money is going to a greater good. JMHO. MOO…

Reporters asked about the money – both the sheriff’s budget and the donated money. The sheriff is also very aware that there has been some criticism (I think it’s mostly individual citizens who regularly complain about spending anything on anything) of spending so much on one case and he has tried to show he is being as responsible as possible. I think he made it clear that the biggest unbudgeted expense has been and probably will continue to be overtime. I think he clearly does not want anyone else to tell him he has to stop what he’s doing because the county can’t afford it any longer – I’m not sure they would, but he seems to be taking no chances.

For some nagging reason~in my mind & try as I can I cannt shake it~ Are we all sure Kaine is innocent as can be in all this? darn, I just can’t shake a feeling I have about him~ Even though I do believe that Terry is involved clear up to her hair roots.
I never have felt this strongly about this until lately~!!!
But, then putting things in perspective, no one would allow Kaine near his precious daughter if they even suspected him of anything~!

His analysis of the email of Terri’s timeline account is fascinating because he sticks to his the statement analysis techniques. What he says makes sense with what I have come to envision happened to Kyron. However, he completely ignored the email in which Terri speaks about Kyron in the present tense, something that would contradict his theory that she killed him. I also have problems with him saying that she was in a steroid rage based on her face at the press conference. I just wonder how much he is sticking to his science and how much he’s trying to make the evidence fit his theory.

It can be either a lawful parent who is messing with the other parents rights to parent their child — with or without a court order — or a third party who is interfering.

If the state commences a child welfare hearing, it would be confidential. “Child welfare” is a big catchall for allegations of abuse or neglect. A parent’s alleged involvement in criminal acts, or refusal to cooperate with LE (I.e, “failure to protect”) could give rise to a child welfare action, IMHO. As in criminal court, the parent has a right to an attorney.
Usually, the court appoints a guardian ad litem to investigate the allegations. However, with older children, the court could appoint an attorney for the child instead.

So unless TH took Rudy’s kids, who would he be paying back by taking Kyron? How did TH cause (directly or indirectly) Rudy’s kids to be kidnapped? Is the scenario that Elsy is Rudy’s wife and kidnapped his kids to get even with him for having an affair (or whatever) with TH?
If he is involved in some sort of major criminal activity, and he is familiar with how to get in and out of the country illegally, you’d think he could put out “the word” and find his own wife and kids.
I haven’t quite got how this fits together yet.

In the photo of RS that Blink provided, it looks like almost all of RS’ hair has gone prematurely white. I’ve been wondering if this was a sudden thing due to stress.
Goodnessme also says that RS claims that TMH didn’t offer him money to kill her husband, that she played upon his sympathy instead. This is more in line with what I would expect of TMH judging from her purported past behavior. That, and the offering of sex. She’s very good at persuading people to do things for her. She doesn’t have to pay money. JMHO.

I respect your reasons for not posting my alternative suggestion of what fate Kyron might of met. Statons’s comments threw me for a loop and I looked for the WORST thing imaginable. Perhaps he chose the wrong words. People like me assume LEO are familiar with drug/sex trafficking in that are because it is so common. You indicated you did not post my alternative suggestion because there is no proof it is related. Does that mean there is proof that this is related to sex/drug trafficking?
Would not say proof, I would say it is a possibility being investigated.

You are very much on-the-beam when you pay attention to the details you listed. Inserted comments, links to photos, are meant for us to pay attention and try to analyze their value.
You seem to get this and I know it’s very hard to follow at times.
We all have to ‘do the work’ and it often comes out of our own hide.
After a while, though, the answer is very clear. That’s why some of us just keep vigil on the site.
