On what is Kyron Horman’s 8th Birthday, the Skyline School, where Kyron was scheduled to begin the third grade, is buzzing with the start of the years activities without him.

In response to the disappearance and presumed abduction of the bespectacled herpetologist; Skyline has implemented a myriad of mandatory safety features as well as a state of the art security camera system. While complete with facial recognition capability, one face it will not be recognizing today, is that of Kyron Horman.
Although missing since the morning of June 4, 2010, there have been no updates from the many State and Federal agencies participating in the criminal investigation of his disappearance since August 12, 2010.
Adding to the mounting concern about the status of Kyron’s fate are the words of his own parents, Kaine Horman and Desiree Young.
“The police will not stop until they find Kyron and the harder they have to search–the harder this will get for you,” wrote Young. “You will go to jail and whoever has been helping you will have to talk police or they will go to jail.”
It is clear from Kaine and Desiree’s comments that they believe Terri Horman, Kyron’s step mom, is at least partially responsible for Kyron vanishing. While they stop short of naming any possible accomplices, Rod Underhill, the chief deputy district attorney of Multnomah County, Captain Jason Gates, Detective Bob O’Donnell of the Multnomah County Sheriff Office have sought the publics help to flush them out. Multnomah County Chief Deputy District Attorney Rod Underhill said a witness, or witnesses, have reported seeing someone else by the Hormans’ extended-cab pickup while it was parked in front of the school between 8:15 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. on June 4, the day Kyron disappeared. In what was characterized as a slip-up, methinks that that Kyron’s Mom told us that someone was actually Kyron.
While Terri Horman is holed up at her parents newly refinanced home in Roseburg and under the mortgage-sized retainer protection of Stephen Houze; she is awaiting the September 21st contempt hearing for allegedly violating an order that she not disclose the “sealed” reasoning for, or contents of, the current restraining order in effect against her.
Accomplice, Witness, Opportunist or Collateral Damage?
Rodolfo “Rudy” Estrada Sanchez
When reached at one of the numbers records show is billed in his brothers name, Jaime Estrada Sanchez, who uses the name Jaime Estrada on his carpet cleaning business website declined to comment to blinkoncrime.com and the number has since been disconnected.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a close family friend who has since been interviewed by the FBI, has confirmed that Terri Horman is pointing her finger directly at Sanchez. She has also stated that she and Sanchez had an altercation after she attempted to end their relationship in May which ended in a 911 call and a visit from Clackamas County Sheriff Office in the presence of Sanchez’s wife and children. While it did not result in any charges, Horman told the source that the landscaper was furious with her because he is not in the US legally. While blinkoncrime.com has not been able to verify the date of the alleged 911 call, we have been able to verify that Terri called her Mother immediately following the incident and told her that Kaine had found out about the landscaper she hired to do what she referred to as “her yardwork” and when she informed him that she could no longer use him because Kaine was making her fire him, he lunged at her with Kiara in her arms. Kaine Horman denies the couple ever hired the landscaper as well as any previous information as to his estranged wife’s possible dealings with Sanchez.
It should be noted that Mr. Sanchez has not been charged with any crime in this matter and local references to his business are highly complimentary. In fact, Jean Ann Van Krevelen a friend and “mentor” of Dede Spicher has used RS Landscape Maintenance on a few occasions, leaving positive reviews on the ServiceMaster listing which deleted his business from the site on 6/21/10. Heather Walters, owner of Rosemont Farm,which is not West Wind Farm, where Dede Spicher was working the morning of June 4th and out of reach by phone from approximately 90 minutes, has never met Terri Horman or heard of their family prior to Kyron’s disappearance. When I asked her if she knew Rudy Sanchez or if she ever hired his firm to work at WWF, she replied “not that I recall, no, but we did have a blackberry clean up a few years ago so it is possible.”

Although records indicate that he was placed under post probation supervision by ICE on February 19, 2010, according to Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez Federal criminal docket after being “found in the US and apprehended” in August 2009” following a previous deportation in 2003, he was “administratively arrested” on February 23, 2010. A Federal Grand Jury’s subsequent indictment was issued on March 4 and he was immediately incarcerated.
Mr. Sanchez-Sanchez rap sheet includes convictions for rape, failure to register as a sex offender and a host of probation and parole violations prior to his deportation.
In what can only be categorized as a bizarre coincidence, Oregon BOP VINE network shows that on June 26, 2010, they very day of the “sting” involving Rudy Sanchez, Anselmo was transferred and released to “community supervision”. There is no record of either his transfer or his booking by MCSO July 8th on his docket. What is reflected on the record for June 21st, is the US Marshall Service requested a rescheduling of his plea hearing on July 1st - July 12th directly with the presiding judge outside of his Federal appointed defense attorney. Yep. Exparte. Mr. Sanchez attorney Allison Clark used the 7/12/10 court date to file a motion to quit the case. They have subsequently worked through their differences and were scheduled to appear yesterday, but a 4th continuance in the case was granted to reschedule for October 7, 2010. In that motion, Ms. Clark asserts that Mr. Sanchez has been in custody the entire time but that his records are difficult to retrieve so more time to prepare for trial is necessary. I’ll say.

Up until a few weeks ago, she was also very much the object of accusation by Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, as well as the investigators assigned to Kyron’s case. So much so, they released a flyer featuring the ginger ladies and the infamous white truck. LE has subsequently backed off of Spicher and publicly stated they do not believe it was her in the white truck in the lot of the Skyline School. Dede’s father is a semi-retired Klamath County Sheriff deputy. If it can be confirmed Spicher knew Kyron was missing on June 4th we have a very big problem.

Michael Cook
The source of both information for the contempt filing and hundreds of sexts exchanged between he and Terri Horman following Kaine Horman’s filing for divorce and leaving the marital residence as advised by MCSO, Michael Cook was a high school classmate of Kaine Horman.
Mr. Cook is also one smarmy dude if his former spouse Shannon has anything to say about it.
Oddly, blinkoncrime.com has learned from an inside source that Cook was not called before the grand jury to testify. In the instant action for contempt, Kaine Horman’s attorney Laura Rackner specifically references the “sexting” and the text regarding Houze’s fee as information provided by law enforcement.
So, was he acting as an agent for le or is he himself under investigation?
Jason Wishert
William Jason Wishert is undoubtedly wishing he had not interjected himself in this case. Apparently new to the blogosphere via a request from Maxine Bernstein of the Oregonian, Mr. Wishert took to what he saw as his *nuveau*cause*celeb* status with moxy.
That was until he announced his appearance on the scaredmonkeys.net forum to answer questions about the case and cry the blues when he accused the Oregonian of using his rough notes to skewer Dede Spicher. According to Wishert the “not a lot of kissing but plenty of telling” memo was not supposed to be published. About 3 minutes into his introduction to his “sleuthing public” Wishert was asked why he spelled his name incorrectly and if he was indeed the son of convicted child porn possessor William Kent Wishart. In a really bad move, Mr. Wishert denied the allegation and retreated with his tail somewhere on his person.
Kent Wishart, former CEO of Graphic Sciences, is in Federal Custody for the next 4 years for possession of child porn and engaging in a file sharing subscription for same. Jason’s brother Grant is an employee of GS. All three Wishert’s hold numerous active and inactive business licenses throughout Oregon and Washington. Graphic Sciences has a Mexican affiliate office.
Both Jason and his brother James Grant have had numerous legal entanglements (editor’s note: say it just like Chief Margie with the flat “a”) and our attempts to substantiate Jason’s claims about court appointed child advocacy certifications have yet to be confirmed.
However, with his Uncle John Kerr, Jason Wishert is heavily involved in the Friends of Pimpollo Charity which sponsors various children issues and an orphanage in Mexico. FOP is a verified charity with a 50% tax deduction rate according to IRS Publication 78 in good standing, but they are years behind in their annual reporting.

Today, Kyron Horman’s eigth birthday, may not bring us any closer to where our frog prince is, but we do wish to extend our thoughts and prayers in celebration of his special day to his parents, friends and family. Am I understanding this correctly? The GJ is suspended with “no true bill”, meaning that no criminal case will be brought forth against anyone involved with Kyron’s disappearance?
I guess I’m confused. In discussing Kaine’s dropping the contempt charges against Terri it was stated that his attorney had to or else Houze would have forced the entire case to be opened up – which could jeopardize the criminal case. But if there was a no true bill from the GJ, doesn’t that mean there’s no case to begin with?
I would really appreciate some clarification. Thanks!
I think one of my posts got lost in moderation. I found the photo ID of AS in Blink’s earlier article on LS. It gives AS’s age as 28; not 22 as I thought. Still, the 2 AS’s are definitely not the same person.

@Jen: I also compared the truck in the school flyer with the truck (Kaine’s) in the photo above and noted some differences. The blurb beneath the photo on the school flyer, though, says only “similar to the one driven by Terri Horman on 6/4/2010.” So it’s not an actual picture of KH’s truck.
Finally caught up w/ posts. Couple of comments:
tigi – very interesting parallels you draw regarding TH using LE in various scenarios.
Also – some of us asked about the May 9 call to 911 after reading comments at Oregonlive months ago. SincerelyYours claimed she was friend of the Moultons (Terri’s parents) and I find that believable enough. BUT – what I am wondering now, is, if the May 9 call has been assumed credible, perhaps other claims are credible as well and the situation much more complex than what’s known (re Kaine’s relationships etc) not that anything could justify harm to the darling Kyron who breaks my heart daily, BUT – I feel all facts should be vetted and/or out regarding everyone involved in this drama, in order to solve it.

Blink, you mention that Service Magic deleted RS Landscape maintenance from their website on June 21. What could they have known at that point that we did not? That was long before we had heard anything at all about a landscaper or any supposed murder for hire plot. Coincidence?
I cannot confirm whether Service Master deleted his profile or Mr. Sanchez himself, just that it was and on that date.
Service Master is really just a lead generation for small business to hit a google search.
In the photo of LS we see a little girl…does she go to Skyline? Maybe he wouldn’t be out of place if his child or children went to that school. Haven’t seen anything about his children. I guess I could start with what area he lives in, duh. It’s early and gotta work.
Idealistiacally LE agencies should work “together” when investigating a crime. In the real world there is sometimes a clash of egos that can hold up the works. Are 11 different agencies involved at odds with eachother in regards to specified targets in this case for specific criminal actions? That concept could blow this case so far off course, it could take years before they can zero in on the “mark” which is Kyron and his disappearance.

Now, if Terri already called LE on Rudy for threatening her prior to Kyron missing, there is little liklihood that she would conspire or would have previously conspired with him to kill Kaine. If she had, she would not likely have called LE on him. Since Rudy was in this country illegally, he had nothing to lose to by informing LE that she asked him to kill her hubby, since he stood to be deported and his wife found out about a situation with Terri. In that he could have spilled the beans at that time, if Terri indeed wanted Kaine gone, her plans to do so would have been shot because LE could have had a potential heads up should anything happen in the future. She had no idea what Rudy may say to the police.
So, Maybe Rudy did spill the beans previously and when Kyron went missing they had reason to believe Terri was involved in some way because they had been told by RS that she wanted her hubby dead, so the case got red flagged. Rudy could prove his whereabouts when Kyron went missing, so they assume Terri hurt Kaine’s child to hurt Kaine. But if this scenario holds any weight, there is a greater liklihood that Rudy set Terri up because the mere act of her calling LE on Rudy had the potential of Rudy informing them of the MFH plot of Terri’s, so any idiot who had actually tried to contract a murderer for their hubby would not call LE and then move forward with a plan to murder or harm his child as they would surely be #1 suspect. I don’t believe she is that stupid, because this scenario would take a true moron.

Knowing now of the May 911 call and the visit by LE to the home of RS, the whole perspective shifts for me. THERE’s the motive. RS retilation on KH for bringing the LE to his door and making his wife aware of his diddlings. The MFH was hatched by RS. IF RS told LE in May about the MFH 7/8 months previous, why wasn’t he arrested or TH interviewd or even KH notified then? Because he didn’t say anything then.
RS did not come forth to LE right after the disappearance of KY; only after LE found him and then he comes up with the MFH scheme against KH. RS & Associates are the vampires.
I remember in a very early PC, Kaine saying to TH something like whatever the issues were they would address them later, just tell LE where KY was .. or something close to that. HE knew about RS and the affair. Explains all the early public pleadings to TH to tell what she knows.
Also explains why KH got the baby out of the house so quickly; not fear for his life but the baby’s.
What I don’t get is how this landscaper (RS) and his brother (?) are opening up shop but are in the US illegally? I know, I know, just be patient puzzled, LE knows what they’re doing!

OMG!!!! Good observation. If this is true….I have a few thoughts in mind. I go back to my theory that Rudy wanted to end the relationship with Terri and Terri did not want that. Seems like Terri is used to getting what she wants. Maybe not this time. It appears that she could have retaliated and wanted to hurt the wife.

I am stuck on the pre-meditated behavior of TH on June 4. For me the Dr appt is the sticking point. It provided someone with a 7 hour window of opportunity which is no coincidence on the day a child goes missing.
Even though RS was familiar with the school because he worked there occasionally, would that provide him with intimate knowledge of how the school handles absences? If he questioned staff about the process wouldn’t they have found that odd? How could RS be so sure he could take Ky from school without being seen?
The Truck:
Did TH deliberately send Ky to that truck waiting until he was seen standing by it? Perhaps she placed a lawn mower in it to make it appear as if it was RS’s truck.
Motive:
RS put the fear of GOD in TH. She went to RS’s house hoping he would lunge at her do something to her that would result in a call to 911. She wanted him to be deported. Did RS find a way to avoid deportation? Is this why TH had to find a way to frame RS? http://www.ocregister.com/news/immigration-265898-country-people.html Law abiding illegal’s aren’t so easily removed but one who commits a crime on the other hand gets their booty kicked out quickly and is generally not allowed back in. So if she was trying to frame him where is Ky? Safely hidden until RS is deported or behind bars? But RS might have plead the 5th? Oh boy did her plan fail if that was the case.
DD:
How does DD fit in? Well perhaps she feels guilty for having introduced TH to RS. Perhaps DD is angry with RS for threatening TH and her family. It would certainly be easier to swallow DD being directly involved in Ky’s disappearance if it is to protect TH and her family. It would more easily explain her allegiance to TH. Perhaps DD knew someone willing to keep Ky safe and her presence was needed on June 4th to make the delivery. I think TH parked far away from the FM stores to avoid anyone spotting Ky. She picked DD up at the WWF and they drove off to SI.
MFH Plot:
RS fears deportation. He can’t get caught in any criminal activities. Perhaps he did do something he knows he could be deported for so he has to find a way to get LE on his side. I don’t think he’d risk the sting if he knew it would fail. So for me, the MFH plot was at one time a real idea. As I said in a previous post, the plan fell apart when the hit man went to jail. Having AS appear with RS on June 4th was the ace in the hole!!!!!
Unfortunately, RS must’ve made the worst of threats against TH because she called LE as soon as she saw him. LE wasn’t aware of the threats RS made against her, otherwise, they would’ve never went along with the sting.
I think TH thought she might persuade RS to kill KH by having an affair with him. I don’t think she expected he would demand $$$. She was probably relieved when AS went to jail but RS was still demanding the money, that’s when she realized she had a problem and needed to get RS deported.

IMO, it seems fair to say the GJ has not made a decision either way – “No True Bill” and also no “True Bill”.
If they had decided on a “NTB”, it would be a matter of public record and no reporter is going to miss that. Just because they are not meeting does not mean they are finished. It can mean they don’t want to vote yet, but it could also mean LE has more evidence they are working on or witnesses they will call, or something else. A judge does not have to make public his reason(s) for allowing the GJ to keep going, but the judge must approve it.
Other states and federal grand juries have rules that may vary from the county ones in Oregon.
I see nothing to indicate the GJ is finished. They cannot be absolutely finished without a finding one way or the other (unless the minimum number of jurors were to become a problem for some reason).

Not to worry, Nancy. The GJ finding of no true bill just means at this time there is not sufficient evidence (based on the testimony they heard) to go forward with the criminal case against anyone. I suspect the current GJ’s term may have expired. If so, the D.A. can always present further evidence to the new GJ as the investigation continues. In other words, it ain’t over ’til it’s over.
@Nancy, I wanted at add: Several posters have pointed out that under Oregon law it will take a judge’s order to convene another GJ to specifically hear evidence on this case (after a finding of no true bill). But, realistically, how difficult will it be to get a judge to reconvene a GJ to hear further evidence in a missing child case? Piece of cake, in my opinion.
I wonder if investigators have formulated a “motive” for the disappearance of Ky. If someone wanted to get revenge on Terri you’d think the daughter would be the target. If someone wanted to get revenge on Kaine….yep, it all goes back to TH & Associates.
@#16 familythx: great observation into TH personality. i think TH is totally responsible for the disapearance of kyron. it is obvious she is an expert at manipulation. if you look at her history with men, she needs their constant adulation and attention. i think she was moving on from her marriage to KH and was looking for a way out of her current situation. she rid herself of kyron, whom she felt a responsibility and connection with, so she could leave that life behind without any entanglements. i believe she thought she could have kiara and james and move on to the next victimized “husband”. if you look at her past history in relationships, she is brutal when she is ready to move on. from the way i see it, she has left a trail of destruction in her wake. as always, great job, blink! love your site.

So are you saying that Terri never actually called LE on May 9?
All I can think about for the past 3 days is Kyron. I actually have moments when I hear him calling out “Mommy, help me!”. I see him in my child’s big blue eyes, and I am so angry and sad and frustrated! I wish to God that he could just come home. I wish all of these a-holes involved would do the right thing and just tell the effing truth about everything they know and did. Whatever TH’s involvement was, she had the opportunity to do so and chose to cover her own ass instead. She is a POS and deserves EVERYTHING that has and will come her way and then some. I’m so disgusted by a flaw in the system that protects these people and ignores the rights of an innocent child.
Let’s all just keep digging away at this so we can get justice or Kyron and the people that love him.
kaine may be dropping the contempt charges because the michael cook gig was just a setup by LE in the first place which was a scare tactic and renders it empty and meaningless.
OK, if Wishert is involved, maybe DeDe phoned him up and discussed a situation where Kyron may be in harms way. What if DeDe asked about hiding Kyron for safety in the orphanage in Mexico?

I agree wholeheartedly with you Idahogal. Also with you Satori. I too am going crazy. I get sick to my stomach at the images that cross my mind with little Kyron. Such a sweet boy. If he is found alive, (which my own 7 year old son and myself pray for daily), he will never be the same. These monsters have broken his spirit. He will need extensive therapy for a long time to come. Love you little guy. I am praying that someone somewhere has the compassion to take good care of you until you come home. I pray and cry for you everyday. xxoox
Also if Terri had called 911 on this guy before (in May) why on earth would LE send him to her home and expect her to do anything other than call 911 again? I don’t get it!

I agree! I don’t think anything is IN the truck. If you look at this link, and magnify to 400, you can follow the black truck liner black line as it goes from the left back corner towards the right back corner. I don’t think anything is IN the truck…jmo

Interesting point that May 9th was Mother’s Day. In step-families, holidays are split, busy and different than how the rest of us celebrate. I’m guessing Ky was in Medford with his Momma and KH made the drive to pick him up so that he would be at school on Monday and so TH could relax and enjoy “her” day.

@ GraceintheHills – I don’t believe the GJ’s term has expired. If a judge agrees to continue that GJ, there is no expiration date. I do not believe there is ANY finding yet. There can be many different reasons why, but we aren’t going to know them unless it’s brought up later during a trial. Many people think of “suspension” as a bad thing – suspended driver’s license, suspended from school, suspended in mid-air – in this case I think it means there is no date set to meet again until further notice. If there are any Oregon lawyers out there who have a different view, perhaps they will chime in.

Blink suggested copying posts somewhere else so they don’t get lost. My document program must still recognize whatever is attached to the post I am trying to copy, because if is not a post from the current page, it gets “lost.” I am guessing some document programs do not have that problem.

JEN- you are very observant to notice the gray bottom…I had not noticed that before. Good eye for detail!!! Note that under the picture of the truck, it says “(Similar to the one driven by Terri Horman on 6/4/2010). IMO the only significance of LE using a different truck in the original flier is that Kaine’s truck was sort of, “unavailable” at the time -you know, getting the ‘starter fixed’ after it was towed just days before…and naturally getting the ‘starter fixed’ requires isolation (surrounded by yellow tape!)…lol. The first flier pic even looks like it was taken at a used car lot…imo
I have popped in and out of this and a couple of other blogs over the last month or so to see what, if anything is going on with this investigation. The peole who post here (unlike me) seem to be well versed in not only the case, but the law as well. That being said, I would like to ask you all this: On a scale of 1-10 (1=lowest) what do you think the chances are that:
kyron will be found (alive or otherwise)
and
that someone (anyone) will be brought to justice for this crime.

@Satori- I like your DeDe asked of asking Wishert to hide Kyron for safety in the orphanage in Mexico? I am sure it has been checked out but, it would give all of us some peace. If that had happened he certainly wouldn’t have drawn attention to himself. I’m going crazy too! IMO I don’t think it is going to be solved this year at all. And here we are waiting to give a big sigh of relief because WE believe there will resolution every day and every week and it isn’t happening.
@mosaic- which religion is she in? The Church of Terri.
I wonder if she wanted to be pregnant or even originally wanted her daughter? How did she relate to her? As a show piece or a real part of herself. She doesn’t seem to have treasured or loved her above herself which every mom and dad here would do. I have also always wondered if her daughter really was sick that Friday. It was just Terri saying it. That darling little girl should be named “Sparkle” just like the name on her shirt. I have a granddaughter near her age that sparkles like she does.
My thoughts and prayers are with Kyron, his brothers and Sparkle.
In Oregon, the DA presides over a grand jury. The GJ does not actually “suspend itself” and doesn’t vote unless the DA requests that it do so. And, usually, the only cases here that return no true bill are when a police officer shoots somebody in the line of duty. I’m only speculating, but am pretty sure that in this case, the MC DA is now running the investigation because of all the agencies involved. Recall the public funds were transferred from the MCSO to the DA’s office.
I completely agree with this. He also ran the press conference, which is a-typical.

Yes, Mockingbird, I definitely think this is a distinct possibility. Having worked in the forensic system for the past twenty years, I fully expect that any GJ hearing testimony on such a complex case will be busy for quite some time. Hopefully, any Oregon lawyers who post on this site will weigh in.

The same picture (without Blink watermark and words of speculation inserted) was published on the LE flier, and that flier’s “target audience” was the residents in the NW Skyline community…
As for the dolled-up picture in THIS article that implies a lawn mower in the truck bed — did anyone notice that the picture of the truck was the only one in the article that you were not able to enlarge? (Hence why the uploaded file was named, “kainetruck_small.jpg” That picture was posted in This article By Design –designed to elicit and stimulate commentary about the connection between landscapers, white trucks, gardeners, etc. to this case. So you see… THE BLINKERS are the target audience!! And everyone took the bait –hook, line and sinker. The image was at the top of the article, and served as opener for dialog in an article named: Accomplice, Witness, Opportunist or Collateral Damage? Very clever, huh?
Go back to the flier. Be logical. There are three pictures of the same truck, in the same spot, and from three different angles. Team Blink knows that is not a lawn mower in the back. Nicely played. (MOO)
