Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Will Plumbing Emergency At The Anthony Home While Caylee Was Missing Produce New Evidence For The State?

When you have a family that both refuses to cooperate with Law Enforcement in a productive way, and in this editor’s opinion, outright obfuscates efforts to investigate the location of a victim and the circumstances to which Caylee Anthony became same,  we are forced to look at what I will term, available objective  data .

Analyzing data in conjunction with the verifiable evidence in this case, allows us, and eventually jurors, to better sift through the ever-changing accounts of those closest to Casey Anthony, without adding metaphorical dryer sheets to cover the smell.
As all www.blinkoncrime readers have known since my earliest coverage of this case, I have long stated it is my belief that the concern for Caylee’s welfare and whereabouts started with the Anthony’s backyard renovations the week of Cindy Anthony’s vacation over the fourth of July.

In fact, one might interpret Cindy Anthony hits her panic button during this time.

I have also written extensively that I believe that the defense team is going to intimate, if not outright accuse, George Anthony of culpability in the death of his own beloved granddaughter.
On Friday afternoon, following the conclusion of the last defense motions presumably prior to trial (insert laugh track) the state released additional video evidence to the defense.   As we brace ourselves to see video of Caylee with her Mother and Tony Lazarro having lunch, should we also prepare to see Cindy and George shopping for those backyard improvement supplies?

Or… Other?

Cindy Anthony’s bank records show 3 separate charges to The Home Depot posted June 30th.  As the purchases were made on Cindy’s check card, we can’t be sure if the purchases are made on June 29, June 30th or a combination of both.

Will we see the purchase of new gas cans, concrete mix, weed barrier, or something else?
Cindy or George Anthony began furiously calling her daughter’s cell phone, in the wee hours of July 1 at 1:43am.
Calls to Casey from the Anthony landline are made to her at 1:43, 1:51, 1:52, 2:02, 6:56, 7:33, and 7:50 AM.

Casey does not answer her cell phone, but she DOES check her voice mail after every one of them, and attempts unsuccessfully to reach someone at the Anthony home at 7:54 AM, possibly due to a busy signal.  This pattern of calls suggests an emergency of some kind, not Cindy checking if Casey was going to finally bring Caylee over as Cindy had requested.  In fact, there is a small break in the action, pun intended, when a different number is dialed from the Anthony home:

In no interview, in no deposition, will you find either Anthony disclosing the obvious plumbing nightmare necessitating 2 calls to Rainaldi Plumbing 4 minutes after their listed hours of operation in the yellow pages, and the subsequent service call resulting in a $283.96 bill.  Ironically, the check number, out of sequence, follows one Casey Anthony wrote on her Mom’s account in December

Spoiler Alert: The only reference to any plumbing emergency appears in one of Cindy’s letters to Casey, but two years after the July 1, 2008 incident.

..” I don’t know if Jeanene told you, about the water pipe we had broke on Friday, we had water from the pipe outside of Caylee’s room, leek into her room, mostly in her play corner- carpet was soaked and walls were damp.  Everything is drying out but the carpet smells bad. (I better watch how I describe it they may take it for discovery). It’s amazing how even clean water can smell rancid after it sits for a while.  Fortunately one of our church friends was able to come out and fix the pipe…”

Facing a capital murder charge, and already convicted of economic felony, it begs the question:

Why would a member of Jose Baez defense team, Jeanene Barrett, need to relay information to Casey about a broken pipe leaking into her deceased child’s room?

If you are thinking this is more “Anthony Code Speak”, you are not alone.  According to a blue print of the Anthony home, there is no plumbing on the outside wall of Caylee’s bedroom that would leak into the corner, the right lower corner or her “play corner” which abuts the outside wall.

As the bulk of “pipe bursts” or “breaks” go in Florida temperatures, in general they occur only through freezing, extreme temperatures, or water pressure stress (build up) of some kind. The source of the emergency plumbing call to Rainaldi on July 1st, 2008 is not known, but what is known, is that it gives new meaning to the signature of Casey’s inmate correspondence “FLUSH”.

What has always bothered me was what could have been found in either the backyard or now as we know, in the plumbing that would send Cindy Anthony into a clear and obvious panic, mobilizing Lee to track down his sister, and attempt to track down Caylee through her friends AFTER speaking with Casey.

George and Cindy Anthony’s versions of June 15th and June 16th 2008 have evolved it seems, after every new release of discovery.  Specifically, George’s account of the last time he saw Caylee and what she was wearing.  They have gone to painstaking lengths to establish that at least Caylee was home the evening of the 15th, and very much alive the morning of the 16th.

So where is the blue “dress” she wore to the Mount Dora Nursing home on Father’s Day, June 15th, 2008? It would seem to me if I wanted to establish an alibis, or timeline, that clothing would be critically important.

Is that what Casey meant when she uttered to Tracy Mclaughlin and Rob Dick that OCSO had no idea what they were doing and they had not even found her clothes yet?  Was she talking about Caylee’s clothes, or Mama’s?

Blink said she was so going to go there and she did. Great article. I’m having difficulty even speculating what it all means, but I’m sick to my stomach.

Shasaam, Blink and team! Amazing how you all uncover things that seem to be overlooked.

I had no idea there was a plumbing call. I did however think that whole Cindy plumbing story/letter was weird- but again I had NO idea that there is no plumbing on the outside wall of Caylee’s bedroom that would leak into the corner….

I am waiting to see what these new videos will show about the purchases ect-I do believe you are right Blink– there is going to be some debunking this week, little did I know you were gonna start the ball rolling! Great work- Now back to rereading this article and than rereading again.

  4. A Texas Grandfather says:

There are two ways for the water lines to have been installed. They are in the slab or overhead.
    If overhead:

The obvious routing for water lines is from the garage overhead to the master bath and then overhead across the living room to the second bath adjacent to the living room and then to the kitchen.

    If in the slab:
Generally along the same route, but underneath rather than in the attic.

This house is one built in recent times and would be plumbed with plastic pipe. The only way a sufficient amount of water to do damage of the type described or claimed would be for a fitting to be broken loose. Corrossion would not likely be a possibility.

    Drain lines:
The only way a sufficient amount of water could accumulate in Kaylee’s bedroom would be an overflow or backup in the bath toilet adjacent to her room. If that were the case, then the living room and the entire bedroom floor would have been wet. The only other way would be for the slab to be so out of level that it creates a slope across the floor to the corner described. If that is the case, then the entire bedroom floor would have been wet.

We need the plumber’s work report that supports the invoice that was paid by the check shown in the article to really know what the plumber worked on.

If this is drain line work and not water supply,it leads me to believe that a stoppage in the drain was cleared by recovering something of Caylee’s that drove Cindy or George into panic mode regarding Kaylee’s well being.

It is my personal belief that the issue was drainage related, and I do not think it is any co inky dink it occurs on the day her car gets towed.

Blink, you & I must be on the same wave-length today. I spent all morning going over the time line @thehinkymeter When I got to the frantic phone calling in the early morning hours July 1st……I’m thinking WTF????
    http://www.thehinkymeter.com/casey-anthony-murder-trial/timeline-and-discovery/

When I got to July 3rd……Cindy goes to Universal, KC never shows with Caylee, so she calls her. KC “supposedly” told Cindy she was in Jacksonville. Cindy calls Ryan P. & asks him if KC is with him, he says no.I wonder if KC “first” told Cindy she was with RP, never expecting her to verify this with him. So KC goes with Plan B…..Jeff Hopkins.
Because there is no Jeff Hopkins in Jacksonville, so no way for Cindy to call to verify this story.
KC also send text message for Jesse G. July 3rd & told him not to answer any calls/questions he might get from Cindy.(KC figures out mommy dearest is hunting her down, & not believing her lies anymore.)
Then of course we know Cindy sent Lee to hunt her down, and wrote the “My Caylee is missing” myspace letter, also July 3rd.

So now we have a plumbing emergency>>>>26 bags of concrete poured in back yard in the same week……all the while KC is sucking Cindy’s bank account dry with over-draft charges included. They are pretty much broke because of it, with Cindy having to cover these from her retirement or money market acct. So hey, why not start a few more money sucking projects????……unbelievable!!

But back to your article, Blink……excellent find! I too have always thought something was found by C & G in their yard that tripped the panic button….looks like KC possibly tried hiding evidence somewhere else, but unsuccessfully. The problem is C & G will never tell the truth.

Why in the hell would Cindy need to call KC for a plumbing emergency???
Is KC an event planner by day & a plumber by night?? (ok, I’ll give her that she was fixing/cleaning “someone’s” pipes pretty regularly, but not the pipes in the anthony’s house)

BTW, Yuri Melich is a finalist for week 8. Yeehaw!!

  9. Teri says:

But – the kitchen is right next to Caylee’s room. Couldn’t the water pipe issue arise from the kitchen area that butts right up to her room?

So – are you trying to say that Cindy either flushed Casey’s or Caylee’s doll’s clothes?

Why would she do that unless she had absolute confirmation of Caylee’s death? Is that what you are trying to portray here??..that Cindy knew Caylee was dead and was already flushing the evidence? Perhaps evidence that they found in the yard?

    Help a girl out here…lol.

I don’t know that I am able to drill down that far based on the information we have, it was my intention to call the “previously unkown” issue about the plumbing emergency, and the fact that it necessitated the Cindy freak out in conjunction with the other outside projects.

The plumbing call on 7/1/08 is likely completely unrelated to what Cindy alledges occurs in July 2010.

No matter how you slice it, there would be a lot of carpet and belongings ruined in Caylee’s room by the time water got to the far right corner anyway, so the wording is bizarre.

Seems like one Hell of an oversight to mention when your granddaughter was missing, no?

Wowza, Blink…..this opens a whole new can of worms. I never could figure out why the cadav dogs were not used in the house. As Casey wrote in her jailhouse letters…flush, flush…..

  12. PamVA says:

    Blink –
Do you know if the Anthony’s have an inground sprinkler system? I was wondering if maybe Casey borrowed the shovel to bury the dress and who knows what else in the backyard. Maybe she hit a sprinkler valve? Long shot I know but my mind is having a hard time believing anyone including CA would think you can flush a dress and it’s gonna go down with no problem.

They do not. But hitting a sprinkler valve, or any other unrelated to Casey/Caylee incident is not going to have her robo-dialing her through the night. I am 1000% convinced what happened in that house the night of the 30th into the wee hours of the 1st is materially important to this case.

  13. Sister says:

You and your team never cease to amaze me and you never disappoint.
What on earth could have clogged any drain?

  14. MJ says:

Very intriguing article Blink……however my cheese is way over in the corner, a dried up lonely square!
So the backyard improvement purchases are made before the plumbing disaster but are we thinking that the item that may have been in the pipe was buried under new concrete? Are we thinking that GA may have initially used a” snake” to attempt to clear the pipe and found something prior to calling the plumber?
I wish I could see everyone’s comments already, probably somebody is way more savvy than I am.

  15. Bees Knees says:

WOW! Nice work, Madeline! Very interesting. Does anyone have any theories? We can only assume the State knows what that purchase was for.

  16. Samarie says:

I would guess that the Orlando area is on a city wide water and sewage system and the in and out pipe access for the property is not designated in the above house diagram. I’m just guessing, but if the property sewage pipe is located on the right side of the house near the kitchen and main bathroom area, or if the water enters the house from that side, it’s very possible Caylee’s room would have gotten wet if either system mal-functioned (Is that like a mis-truth?). More guessing on my part, but if Cindy said the smell was rank, I would bet it was a sewage pipe and maybe it had become blocked and sprung a leak due to Casey trying to “flush” some incriminating evidence. Hmm, maybe a little blue dress?

  17. just_a_mom says:

Excellent article, Blink, but who wore a “blue” dress to the nursing home and how do we know that? Depositions maybe? TY

Well done Ms. Blink. Thanks for your time & effort. What will the ANTS come up with next? I love a good suspense novel or movie and the ANTS fall short,, you can guess every move they make what was going on. They actually fall way short of whom they try to pretend to be. Makes you wonder though, where are Caylee’s clothes she was KNOWN to have worn her last day seen alive by any one reliable.

  20. chelsea1515 says:

Blink – this case gets worse by the month, what an appalling family!! But what can I say about your brilliant detective work! I would be honoured to do your ironing for life if something like this along with all the other mounting evidence, were to bring Justice for Caylee.

  21. akmom says:

As always, I am grateful to be able to read your work Blink. Truly amazing. I have always pondered what may have initiated Cindy’s frantic sudden efforts to track Casey down, at the beginning of July.

  22. A Texas Grandfather says:

Looks like from the letter that a friend who was a plumber came to repair the damage of either a fitting that was not properly glued in place or it was a drain stoppage.

There may not be any paperwork other than the check. This would require a deposition from the plumber to describe the work he performed.

With Cindy, George and Lee doing all they can to protect Casey, the accuracy of the information in the letter is very suspect.

Unless the floor was absolutely filthy, there would be little or no odor from a water line break. A sewer line back-up could produce some unpleasant odors.

    Debunking round one in progress!

  23. Sammy says:

Yeah … this revelation certainly does add new meaning to the FLUSH from Casey.

Can’t wait to see the new video’s that get released.
(well, most of them. I’m afraid seeing little Caylee out at lunch is gonna be so sad)
But the multiple home improvement store video’s should be quite interesting.
After waiting patiently for all that time … something set Cindy off into the full scale panic search for Casey that night.
What did she/they find?? … what did they know?? (even earlier than thought ass-covering mode)

Blink … Great investigative work ferreting out all these charges and checks – and matching them up with the flurry of phone calls!

Is anyone from “Rinaldi Plumbing” on the SA witness list?
Wonder what might possibly have been snaked out of a blocked drain.
No drainage pipes along Caylee’s room side of the house.
But, I would think there ARE underground pipes running out near the pool and paver area in that back yard.
Could that account for some diluted (weak) evidence in the ground that the dogs were later able to hit on??
    Hmmm…

Just a note of clarification. When we first discovered this, there is a Rainaldi Plumbing, and a Rinaldi HVAC company. The number dialed from the A landline, was to RAINaldi plumbing, it just appears to be misspelled on the check, but it was definitely Rainaldi.

  24. lizzy says:

Well, I agree this smells pretty rancid!

But, without knowing where the water comes on the property, meter location, etc., I can’t tell where the pipes might run or outside faucets might be.

On a related “flush” note, do you remember this story?
    http://www.yourworldreport.com/casey/jailhouse_toilet.htm

Seems like someone really has an over-interest in plumbing . . .

  25. Carolyn S from Maryland says:

I don’t know what is wrong with me, but I don’t quite get the connection you are hinting at here. If a church friend helped them fix the pipe, and something incriminating was found, wouldn’t they have come forward? Also, if it isn’t in the depositions, can it be brought out at trial now?

I cant even be sure the broken pipe issue was real. I can only be sure of the July 1 2008 incident.

I think this all comes back to whatever was found to be the cause of it, and possibly the timing for Cindy to mention it in 2010 as a means for Cindy to explain it should it be discovered?

  26. lizzy says:

Thank you B!! So refreshing to see a new scoop lol great find friend! Yes i too thought Cindy’s letter was weird and contained way too much info, just couldnt put my finger on why. Especially her little ‘or they may take it for discovery’ jab. Ugh sick. I do wonder what may have been ‘flushed’ from their system? Maybe some one should ask the Rainaldis guy, he would know right? And when do we get new video? Im inpatiently waiting…

  28. Lisa says:

Great Job Blink! One thing though. If I look at the floor plan of the home it’s not much different than mine. We have a water spigot (just about between Caylee’s room and the office) on the front right of the house, as well as back where the master bedroom on the back left side of the house. It does seem strange though that the first we heard about it was in her letter. I think you are on to something here :)

  29. Mrs C Hop says:

Baby wipes will clog any drain all day every day…i wonder if it was just a huge amount of wipes maybe from the attempted car clean up?

Blink, did you watch NG on Friday night? I know, I know, don’t be mad at me, I didn’t either, just read the transcript today and found quite interesting the reason why Dr. Lee left the defense team, well at least that’s what he says you can read it, if you did it, please delete it.

    NANCY GRACE
Casey Anthony`s Mother Admits Covering up Odor in Car With Dryer Sheets
    Aired April 8, 2011 – 20:00:00   ET

    http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/1104/08/ng.01.html

    *snip*

GRACE: We are taking your calls. Tonight, in an exclusive interview from Hartford, Connecticut, is renowned Dr. Henry Lee, distinguished professor of forensic science, University of New Haven, former consultant to the tot mom team. He examined tot mom`s car. The state`s theory is Caylee`s little body in the trunk for a long period of time before she was finally dumped 15 houses from the Anthony home.

Dr. Lee, as we approach trial in the next coming weeks, why are you no longer on the defense team?

LEE: Well, you know, as a forensic scientist, we have to look at the physical evidence, let the evidence speak for itself. When I examine those evidence, they have so many items in those garbage bags, create a lot of odor. You can`t really say that`s a human decomposition odor. Definitely (ph), it`s a decomposition odor. In addition, if a body in the trunk, shouldn`t we find some blood? And other tests did not show any indication the presence of blood or even a trace amount of blood was found. That`s kind of an interesting point. So in one way, I cannot prove she`s not involved. In another way, I cannot prove she is definite involved. So basically, as a scientist, nothing we can contribute to this case.
    *********
Wow, now that’s a bombshell to me!

Ok that man is FOS. He knew there was no blood in the vehicle BEFORE he examined it for the first time because of the field tests.

For him to say there would have to be blood in that vehicle if there was a deceased person in it is laughable.

He refused to stay on the “team” for financial reasons, just like every other ameobic hack that took off when the well runneth dryeth.
    B

  31. Bam from Mississippi says:

Is it too late to depose the plumber??
    OR….
Blink, do you think any evidence would’ve been done away with before the plumber got there… I mean come on, surely the plumber would have come forward about “hey.. i found a blue dress or doll clothes at this address that’s all over the news”

This is for sure something… i just dont know what yet!

    -R

There is no doubt in my mind that the plumber knows what the root cause of the issue was.
One of the reasons it MAY or MAY NOT have been missed is because the number for Rainaldi changed, so unless one was researching just the numbers, one might miss the connection to the number and the other calls.

  33. Ivy's Grama says:

So, the way I am getting this is, either she flushed the little blue dress, and it got stuck, and after said plumber found it Geo and Cindy buried it under concrete (along with anything else she may have ‘got rid of’) OR whatever was ‘stuck’ ended up outside on the grass,(because it stunk!) and thats what the dogs picked up on??? Maybe both?

I don’t think the canine alerts are relative to the plumbing incident, for me.
    B

  34. Hogs for Dogs says:

Since some think that the inmate isn’t stupid, I guess we should assume that she didn’t try to flush the blue dress which Cayle wore to the nursing home. Surely she knew that it would plug up the pipes?? Could it be Mama’s clothes that were flushed? And CA probably knew that Cayle had Mama the last day she was seen alive and that Mama had her clothes on? And she knew that Cayle hadn’t been home to flush the dress (my kid’s have flushed a few things)? SO she knew that Casey had to have been home to put the dress in the toilet and had to have been crazy wondering why she would do such a thing? What on earth have these parents done to cover up for this evil woman? What did they cover up in that yard?

  35. Bees Knees says:

I agree. There’s definately some funkiness afoot here. But what, I can’t say. Mad sleuthing skills, Blink! You mentioned the state released additional video evidence to the defense last Friday. I can’t find any info on that. Do you know what else may have been released? Is there even more to come? Not that THIS isn’t enough!

Several videos were filed Bees, but I do not know the status of the sunshine law release.
    B

  36. A Texas Grandfather says:

    Samarie

Look at the floor plan of the house. The hot water tank and the washer and dryer are located in the garage. Most plumbers want to have the shortest feed possible to the hot water tank and to a washer and dryer set-up. This tells me that the water supply line to the house is located at the garage wall where the washer is located.

Depending on whether the city sewer line is under the street or in an easment at the back of the lot would determine the sewer or drain line connection. My bet is the city water line is located inside the curb line and the sewer line is under the street at a depth of five feet or more.

Water in plastic pipe can freeze and the pipe break by the pressure of the ice. This would take a temperature of ten or fifteen degrees. You are located in Florida. I don’t believe temperatures have ever been recorded in that range. What are the temperatures in Orlando in the summer?

A good plumber would install a riser at the double sink in the kitchen with a 90 degree elbow rotated to point to the sink in the bathroom adjacent to Caylee’s room. This would preclude any supply water from a break spraying anywhere close to the spot mentioned in the letter.

This entire story by Cindy is imo a fabrication.

Man, you know you are like a Grandpapedia? Your exactly right btw, the water line comes in from the curb, not the rear, as I have confirmed from the plan plots. I agree that it is poppycock, all of it.
    B

  37. turbothink says:

Okay, this may freak everyone out, but I have to say it. By the 1st of July Caylee had been dead over 2 weeks. WHAT IF…….KC had taken that garbage bag full of the decomposed body liquids (she would have been liquefied by then) and tried to flush them down the toilet before she dumped the bag? She did back into the garage as per the neighbor. In dumping the liquids some bone or some part of Caylee got stuck in the plumbing which after a while gave off odor of decomposition as they smelled later in the car. That could explain why the dogs hit in various places in the yard as they had moved that water from the pipes. It could also explain why they went into a panic mode because both of them KNEW what they were smelling.

Turbo- I also answered you on SM:

Personally, I do not believe that the plumbing issue could have been “Caylee”. For one, both Gerus and Bones, imo, while “working the scent” would have alerted that they wanted inside that house, imo. Moreover, I think the plumber would have found the “root cause” and had it been “remains” there is no way I think he would not have phoned OCSO.

The other issue would be that it would belie Dr. Vass report that Caylee was put in the swamp PRE-Bloat phase, and of course the 2.6 days in truck measurement.

I do believe, it is something related to Caylee, either the blue “dress”, a bathing suit, or Mama’s clothes. Whatever it was, the A’s hid it, and it made someone in that home, presumably Cindy, freak out and be immediately concerned for CAYLEE”S safett and well being.

That is the important distinction here. What plumbing issue could trigger immediate panic about CAYLEE ?

I also note it is the same day that Casey’s car is towed.

    B

  38. Blue Moon says:

Blink, I keep going back to the plant that was dug up by the storage building. Cindy said they had to keep it dug up because of safety issues for Caylee. I have always believed Cindy choked Casey and in the process Caylee tried to step between her mother and grandmother and got knocked down on that plant. Just really odd that a plant would be dug up and Cindy explaining it to Greta why it was dug up at that specific time just sent alarms off just like the gas cans that George had did also.

  39. Ragdoll says:

Could this event be the reason Cindy wrote “My Caylee is Missing’? There is no logical reason for Cindy to blog about Caylee being taken away unless she had a reason to feel threatened. Was this Cindy’s first realization of truth that something was terribly wrong?

Blink, this is huge. This piece connects dots that other wise didn’t make much sense on their own. After reading this a few times, I come away with the belief that Cindy knew much earlier but did not act on it. It makes me physically sick.

In a recent conversation, I was asked, when is it then, that you think that “they knew, and I mean “knew”, and started to cover up for Casey?

My reply: ..”The moment they convinced themselves it was their fault, regardless..”

    That is what I believe.
    B

My husband is a retired builder and can give a multitude of reasons for blocked pipes etc. but it is the time line that obviously rings alarm bells. Maybe when a blockage occurred, George was able to retrieve an item, recognised what it was, realised there was possibly still more stuff been flushed down the loo, was unable to get hold of Casey, called in plumber, might even have told the plumber it was Caylee who had put her dolly’s clothes down the toilet. It wouldn’t be the first time a child had done such a thing. Retrieved items buried in the back yard possibly? Brilliant bit of sleuthing Blink.

So, if the car was towed, the Anthonys’ didn’t have the car in their possession yet right? Therefore Casey would have had to have put something down the toilet that she removed from the car before it was towed. So would have to have been something incriminating and something of Caylees. or both

I don’t think there is any evidence right now to indicate a car/plumbing connection.

The plumber needs to be brought in for questioning, no doubt. That backyard needs to be dug up all of it. If the plumber hasn’t come in on his own yet to give information then he is just helping the Anthonys in their scamming. Thats not what a good christian would do.

July 1, 2008 the day the plumber was called is a Tuesday…
Cindy says in letter to KC Plumbing emergency was on Friday…. Could this be the second time the plumbing was called….Didnt think Cindy went to church in June/July 2008 either

So what happened on Monday, June 30th…why did she need a plumber that day…along with all that concrete from Home Depot…
Sounds supicious… doing all that work when Cindy hadn’t slept …she was up calling KC till after 2AM and was up at 7ish AM…
then the plumber call at 8AM…

Perhaps as Lisa suggested there was a hose spigot directly outside Caylee’s room. They have a relatively older home, and it could be the fittings are going bad or the pvc pipes are springing leaks. This happened to our home, and it took a while before we noticed we even had a slow leak. The carpet was indeed getting wet, but very slowly and mostly near the wall where one wouldn’t normally walk and notice. How we found out was the pool of water that was accumulating outside. We never spent much time outside on that side of the house, so wow, it was literally a pool of water above the grass. The way the leak was positioned, most of the water was flowing away from the house.

Now, I’m wondering if it’s possible if Casey borrowed the shovel to bury both sets of clothes — Caylees and Mamas. Because if they were together in death, I imagine they could have had urine and feces when her spirit left her body, maybe some vomit, too. And it’s pretty easy to dig a hole in the sandy area near the base of the house where one wouldn’t be disturbing sod.

It could be that the clothes did not cause the plumbing issue, but rather that they were discovered because of it.

Several folks have mistakenly referred to the July 1, 2008 date of the alleged plumbing incident as being the same date that Casey’s car was towed. To set the record straight, Casey had abandoned her car at Amscot on June 27th, from where it was towed to the Johnson Wrecker tow yard on June 30th – not on July 1.

Also, assuming Caylee was murdered on June 16th, it hardly seems likely that anything related to Caylee would have suddenly jammed up the Anthony’s plumbing system two weeks after her death.

I really don’t believe Cindy became suspicious that something terrible had happened to Caylee until she heard Casey tell Lee that she hadn’t seen Caylee in 31 days. Her third recorded 9-1-1 call clearly evidences her horror and anguish upon hearing this which, in turn, prompts her to immediately tell LE that not only Caylee had been missing for 31 days but also that her daughter’s car that she found that day smelled like there had been a damn dead body in it.

Nope, I am abundantly clear on the facts in this case.

WOW!!! – This entire case is like peeling an onion – it just never stops stinking and stinking worse!

But BACK UP THE TRUCK – please!!!

    Seemeatthebeach – @2:02
26 BAGS OF CEMENT!!!! WTH!! Blink have you commented on what this could have possible been for?? (an in-ground swimming pool??) What did they do or need to do with that much cement. I know that when money is tight – you are NOT doing ANY home improvements.. Did I miss any Blink comment on this????

And Mrs. Hop @3:59 …perhaps flushing Baby Wipes or Dryer Sheets with blood on them???? Could that have raised the Anthony alarms??!!

Again – I don’t think that Casey would have been stupid enough to flush down the toilet something that would obviously have stopped up the plumbing …But blood-stained wipes would be something she’d be able to get aways with.

    Blink???
    thanks so!
    1. There is no evidence of any blood in this case, anywhere. The misnomer that death is synonymous with blood, in a COD way, is simply, wrong.

    2. Let’s dispel something for once and for all.. Casey Anthony is not stupid. She is uber lazy. She is a lot of things, but dumb is not one of them. If she is responsible for the plumbing issue, it is because she had an agenda regarding same.

Richard Hornsby was on HLN this evening and so was a friend of cindy’s.
Cindys friend told of how casey was a great mom and the tatooo arttist said casey was a good mom and had been coming there for a few years.

  49. myers says:

what I can’t get around is if it is clothing flushed down the toilet, why at the house? Could it have been a casey plan to cast blame on someone else at the anthony home? So strange that last Friday i listened to Rob Dick’s interview and not long ago read the jail letter about the leak and found it strange with Cindy’s smart remark about discovery.

question: Did Tony know for sure when was the last time he saw Caylee? I am wondering if the date of the video of caylee eating could have been after June 16th. I am more than likely way off, but wouldn’t that be a wopper.
