Blink, I have a question and I’m hoping you can add some insight to this. Wouldn’t the hairs on the hair matting found with Caylee’s body have hair banding too? Couldn’t they prove the connection to the trunk by comparing the hair’s?

  2. foobros says:

I really like Wendy Murphy, but I do think she’s wrong about this case. I was surprised that she thought Baez is doing a good job and that he is so charismatic and well spoken. I can’t stand to listen to him myself. I think he looks like an amateur who’s in over his head. You were right on with your comments in the podcast Blink, but something you said freaked me out. We know Casey’s going to appeal if convicted, but you said that you thought she’d win a new trial with an appeal based on ineffectiveness of counsel. I was under the impression that it is very difficult to win an appeal based on that. Even if Baez is as bad as he is, Casey has several other lawyers working on her behalf. You mentioned the four complaints against Jose. Is that why you’re thinking she’d win the appeal? Or is it something specific he said in the trial or just his overall handling of the case? I agree he’s incompetent, I just thought that it was hard to prove by legal standards to permit a new trial. Thanks!

I think the finances and trust accounts may very well indicate a serious conflict of interest. I said this, and acted on same over 2 years ago, and imo, the Tax Levy for $68, 520 cements this.

I don’t agree that George and Cindy would still be covering for her. I think the turning point is that she is now claiming that Caylee drowned in the pool, and admitting that she knew Caylee was dead all along. That takes away the last possible basis of denial on their parts.
    ____________________________________________________________________

This is kust my take. I never believed that either Cindy, George, or Lee was ever in denial. No one will ever sell me on this theory.

If they’d been in denial, they would have believed their sociopathic maglignant gorgeous Princess. But no, they knew after day 32 that she was mixed up with a dead body in her trunk and their granddaughter was missing. Hello! You do not clean up evidence and lie to police if you are in denial.

Then, in the midst of “denial” they threw anyone Casey knew, or perfect srangers under the bus.

As the case wore on Cindy, especially, engaged in thuggery and vindictiveness toward anyone not buying their brand of “Caylee is alive.” (See poor, well-meaning Tim Miller and Cindy’s threats to him.)

Trying to find a fall guy was the main work for whom Cindy engaged Dominic Casey. And that’s when Cindy suggested Rev. Grund might use babies in blood sacrifices. Cindy’s “denial” got really destably mean.

George and Cindy never looked for Caylee. Never appealed to the kidnapper to please bring her back. Useless in most cases, I agree, but relatives of missing kids always do this, anyway, in their hope that it will help bring their children back.

Cindy and George and Lee never addressed Zanny, the nanny, on TV or in a press conference. After Zanny was proven to be a fictional character, the Anthonys immediately switched their story to Zanny being any number of Casey’s friends. Jesse, Amy, Ricardo.

Phonus balonus. They were never in denial. And the only reason people think they are “no longer in denial” is that the Anthonys are telling a bit of the truth, a tiny bit, now, because they were about be thrown as the culprits in this crime.

Finally, now, in spte of trying to save something of their reputation or even their lives, the Anthony’s lies of omission in this case are legion.

Thanks for the response Blink. Of course, you are right. The tax issue is very disturbing and the Florida bar association must be shaking their heads. I’ve been unable to read too much on the site lately due to work projects, so if you addressed it on the tax story, I apologize. I’ve been reading your posts, but I haven’t been able to get into the comments too much. As Cindy said to Tony Lazzaro, “I hope you have lot of money because she’ll take you for all you have”. Looks like the taxpayers in Florida are in for a long haul (drain) with Casey too. What a waste, a huge waste…….

    Hi Blink-

I loved your podcast. I won’t mention when I saw it these past few days, I thought I had already listened in, not realizing it was new!
I agreed with all your points, likely as we all have been following your articles. I wonder what Wendy’s opinion would be if she were to have the correct time-line of the car given to her? That appeared to be the crux of her argument. I also was wondering if she (Wendy) was looking at the Google searches from George as coming from Casey suggesting the escort activities? At this point, I believe Casey’s activities consisted of hanging around, napping, eating, shopping and visiting the productive people of Orlando.
I have an inkling that Cindy’s July 3rd revelation will come in on redirect of the DT’s case, cannot wait for that info to come to light!
Looking forward to the weekly podcast’s!

Thank you friend, I honestly think Wendy was poking holes at the prosecutions case because pundits tend to take a protagonist approach when something is covered heavily- even unsubstantiated.

To everyone with posts in moderation, please accept my apologies, I have been in meetings until just now, and I am hours behind and not going to miss another second of my virtual work-husband wanna be, lol.

    Hi, Blink -

You are SO great – and loved you on the latest Scared Monkey’s broadcast.

I particularly loved the tidbit that you shared with us about Linda Drane-Burdick going into the Ladies Room at the Court House to check on how Cindy was doing after her emotional testimony and listening to teh 911 tape …What a class act Linda is …and furthermore shows that the “surgical precision” of her questioning and legal mind does not preclude her from having a caring heart.

And if Baez didn’t tell Mason and Simms about the content of those jailhouse visitation tapes (Ragdoll @10:26 on 6/4/2011) – then shame on them all! TO me …even if the jurors can’t understand the science of all these experts …they CAN and DO understand the culpability of Casey that is being exhibited in each and everyone of those tapes – the one that even puts the lie to the “accidental drowning.”

Sgt Allen gave her that “out” possibility if it had been a drowning during the Universal Studio interview …and I beileve it came up several times in the past ….If it were an accident, and Baez allowed this to explode into a murder/death penalty case, then he has placed his client in a position for jurors to say “This makes no sense – no one would make an accident try to look like a murder.”

    Lastly, three questions:
    1) do you believe that Casey and George are telling the Prosecution ALL the truth …or are they still holding back some info and/or lying?
    2) will the Prosecution ever bring in the tattoo??? It’s sort of past the timeframe they are on.
    3) And: will Sgt ALlen ever testify (I hope so!)

    thanks again, BLINK!!!

George and Cindy are “married” to their statements at this time.

That’s the only one I can discuss.

Blink, about wheel wells, we were just on the same topic, different vehicle, all good….. today those ‘scrapings’ from Casey’s wheel-well came in and guess what>>! Buteric, wasn’t it??? First to be formed in decomp.

Now we’ll see if the Jackwagon brings up frozen chicken parts turning into Buteric acid, then served to Tony and Nate as dinner Friday night before Fusion on the 27th. Right… ok… well that’s why we call him the Jackwagon.

    Rollin’ rollin’ rollin’…… along!

(I’m betting on the first witness tomorrow, to be Dr. Neil Haskell. That’s not Politan’s guests guess as of late today, a forensics tech first for a short testimony they say– but then that tech would have been on the stand today if it was short. Naw, not going to move on yet… I think they will go with Dr. Haskell to build on the trunk decomp topic, not change topics…. goes from the trunk and techs, to the hair from the trunk, to the odour and paper towels and decomp products including Buteric, the next logical choice is to follow the odour to the flies, because they too, go to the ‘interval’ and to specific order of decomp products. And back to the paper towels and the odour, as introduced by Dr. Vass. Wasn’t he wonderful today!?! Again!)

    Kleaty Kleat-

You may be right of course, but might we see Brad Hall first? HMM

Does anyone feel like Baez set Cindy and George up, back in the day, by advising them to do things because they would help Casey but instead he and Casey were setting them up to take the fall??

  11. MsEncene says:

When did Casey and Baez decide to go with the accidental drowning, George covering it up, and the molestation theory? In other words, when did the Dream Team scuttle poor Zanny? Or did that sinking ship
capsize a long time ago and the DT was stranded on a desert isle without a rowboat for a time.

I haven’t asked when Roy Kronk was added to the mix. I can’t figure him into my weak allegory.

  12. Liam says:

The prosecution are showing signs of incompetence by getting Dr Vass to testify about evidence he had wrongly admitted to testing. Minor issues maybe but it`s still incompetence!

On a brighter note, the court Princess is back again today! ;)

  13. Mom3.0 says:

Liam- hello, I didn’t find the prosecution lacking- It was an honest mistake- and they both, the prosecution and Dr. Vass immediately fixed the error-
However- I think Baez trying to make a mountain out of a molehill fell on deaf ears- – Dr. Vass was on the stand for hours – everyone in that courtroom yesterday had to be tired- including the jury…. one “can” looks like any other “can”- its the evidence that WAS trested and the results of same that are most important. although sadly there is a chance that a juror may follow your line of thinking….i sincerely hope not- because that will just open the door to -poor Casey has been railroaded by LE BS JMO

BTW Blink or anyone- I noticed that George does not seem to be in the courtroom today…any thoughts ?

I hope they are not back to just worrying about getting Casey off, justice, truth, their marriage and Caylee’s legacy be damned.

One good point I keep revisiting IRT George is that his testimony did not change from his earlier Grand jury testimony.. to me this bolsters his credibility and Casey culpability.

    AJMO

  14. Ragdoll says:

    @ Liam,

How does that show incompetence? I don’t believe it discredits Dr. Vass’ testimony. I certainly don’t believe it makes the pros. look imcompetent. It was a BIG unfortunate mistake that shouldn’t have happened. It hasn’t taken away their credibility, imo.

Respectfully, I disagree. On a Baez scale, 10 being the most imcompetent (I put Baez himself on a 9), I’d say it was strong 4.5.

Yes, I noticed . . . because I was looking to see if he and Mrs.A. were wearing the same color scheme as the accused again.
Mrs.A. had on light blue and white . . . just like the pinstriped shirt of the accused.

    @ Mom3.0 and Ragdoll
    Hi :)
I just feel it is not a good situation to be making mistakes with evidence or testimony, in the presence of the jury. Not on the same scale as OJ and the glove for sure but clumsy regardless and when you consider the fact that this is the first time such evidence has being used in a case like this you don`t want any hiccups… May prove insignificant in the greater scheme of things.

So far I haven`t heard anything that proves beyond reasonable doubt that a murder was committed, certainly Ms Anthony had Caylees remains in the trunk of her car but i`m still not convinced of murder.

This is probably a silly question but if there is a conviction and a successful appeal against it, do the defence have to stick to this outrageous story of theirs?

They own this story, on the record, and they own the transcript, which any appeal would be based on.

Not the H’s today, neither Haskell nor Hall. Haskell would fit in before Hall if they are continuing chronologically in the events. Gerus did well on the stand today, Bones testimony to come tomorrow. Everyone, including the jury, knows who Bones is and his background and certification before his handler of 2008, ever gets near the stand. An easy segway into the dedicated cadaver dog for morning.

  19. Mom3.0 says:

Hello Liam- Understood- and I agree- I do not want any ‘hiccups’

As to proving Casey murdered Caylee – the jury is allowed to look at the totality of the evidence and come to reasonable conclusions-

The defense would have them believe that EVERYONE is out to get Casey- her family -her father -her friends -LE and all the experts including the dogs on and on.

The defense would have them believe that this was an accidental drowning which Casey allowed her father- who was a molester by her account -to take her baby daughter- away from her, even though in death- and do what he wanted to her and with her-

The defense would have the jury believe that NO BODY NO REMAINS were in Caseys car- that the smell and the alerts and all of the car evidence was due to the trash- the defense would have the jury believe that Casey Anthony was not a conniving liar who lied to gain what she wanted or needed or to hide her actions- but rather a disturbed abuse survivor – who just PRETENDED and lived in a world of make believe- make believe friends make believe job- make believe playmates-

The defense would have the jury believe that this mother did not act appropriately- because she was abused in her childhood- she went out and partied and stole and lied and did not tell police of the accident ect because she was an abuse survivor. She made up a nanny and cleared the cache on the computer and made up the diary of days and deleted pics of Caylee and uploaded disturbing images and icons such as the hung teddy bear- because she was an abuse survivor-

The defense would have the jury believe that Casey remained silent in jail for 3 years over an accident, because she is an abuse survivor-

I could go on and on IRT what the defense wants the jury to believe-

IMO NONE of IT is reasonable- and would lead a juror to reasonably doubt the states case.

REASONABLE DOUBT- not a FORCED DOUBT – Not A IMAGINED DOUBT but a REASONABLE DOUBT-

To Me it is not REASONABLE that a mother an “amazing mother”- with an amazing bond- would cover up an accidental death of her baby- nor would she allow an abuser or ANYONE to take her baby away- even in death- and then go rent movies and have a bed in- all the next day- or party and all the rest-

NOR would an amazing mother allow that baby to leave her care and be put in trash bags and not dress her in a loving way- NOT an old t- shirt that says THAT- “Big trouble Comes In small Packages” and an old pair of shorts- and no shoes- NO FAN FAIR- NOR would she deny her baby even in death- respect and love & safety from animals- nor would she want to prevent that baby the loving goodbyes of her family- her grandma- & a loving mom would not send her baby off without access to her beloved momma doll ect ect-

So to me Liam- even without direct evidence to Murder- the duct tape and the disposal and the trunk and all the rest- points to Casey Anthony killing her daughter- and according to the rules set out by law – she was the caregiver- and it could REASONABLY be concluded that Caylee’s manner of death as minor under the age of twelve- fits into the 1st degree murder- punishment: life in prison or the death penalty…

WPG, I absolutely agree. The Anthony Little Theater Players may be in league with the defense to simply put on a show.

If you recall, Cindy’s testimony the other day, she is still putting out some of the same old lies about Casey, the WONDERMOM. And how she believed Casey because Casey had never given her any reason to not trust her. Lies and the prosecution couldn’t touch that with their witness.

Cindy thinks she and Casey are one person. She’s never going to allow the Snot Mom to be convicted. She will play along with whomever is going to save her daughter.

Three years after the death of Caylee and Cindy is heaving with sobs so we don’t see her face on the stand while the heavy breakdown is going on? I don’t buy it. More Anthony theatricals.

And as for George — he’s lied and twisted and turned so many times in the past. He practically tried to choke his malignant issue, Casey, when she was under Padila’s crew at the house. He had to be removed from the house for a night because she would say nothing about Caylee. George knows. He certainly was prepared for the accusations aimed at him the other day. Not too much reaction. Usually he’s a drama queen on the stand.

And Lee? Who knows? His finacee’, Mallory, is firmly in Casey’s corner and it’s HER fiancee’,Lee, who was targeted as another molester. They’re all between a rock and a hard place protecting their daughter and sister and preserving their own reputations.

We’ll see how Casey becomes canonized when the family members take the stand during the defense’s case.

OMG- I hope they are reading her wrong.

I look at it this way. Even if we find out that Cindy may have left the ladder down, How does that prove caylee died in an accidental drowning?

Even if we hear testimony that Casey was abused by George or Lee or even Cindy- How does that prove Caseys story of an accidental drowning?

The way I look at it- to vote not guilty you would either have to believe Casey was the most victimized woman on Earth- forced to live a lie- secreted away pregnancy- molested at eight thru 13- by both father and brother- and believe she was the most unlucky woman on the face of the earth-

First her beloved daughter dies in a common Florida accident drowning in family pool- which only happened because Cindy left the dreaded ladder down… Then her abuser suddenly turns into a hero, and decides to help by disposing of her beloved daughter in a most deplorable way inorder to save her from a charge of child neglect… and then thinks better of it and sets out to protect himself and point the finger back at the daughter he is trying to save from prison by using items from the household that will point back to his daughter…..duct tape and gas cans and pooh blanket and all the rest…and he talks to police and the grandjury ect ect….

Then there were the chloroform searches and there just happens to be chloroform residue ect in her trunk…and She runs out of gas and accidentally leaves a smelly bag of trash complete with receipts & remnants of her marijuana induced binging on raw hamburger which induced a powerful smell that she previously mentioned finding the cause of – an animal plastered to the frame of her car… which she got rid of…. a smell that has been mistaken by many experts as the smell of human decomp… and then her father chooses to leave Caylee in an area that despicable RK finds…& then takes control of Caylee’s remains…. and she is in a shirt that noone but Casey is pictured with…and that says the most gut wrenching statement…and then she just happens to listen to those disturbing songs…. and just happens to rent those disturbing movies….. and just happens to upload those disturbing icons…..and just happens have her car towed….. and just happens to back into the garage and borrow a shovel….and just happens to write the diary of days….. and get a questionable tattoo…& just happens to write a different version to Robyn in jail house letters…..and just happens to get captured on video on shopping sprees…. and just happens to make up a nanny with the name of a woman who decides to sue her….and she just happens to be a thief and a liar and incapable of showing appropriate emotions….. and the State and LE were desperate for a “sexy” story of murder and refused to see the truth of what happened (accidental death) because of Caseys lies and her inappropriateness which ofcourse is because she is a victim of abuse and because she is obviously the unluckiest person on the face of the earth….

His experience and qualifications are astounding, but it was the gentleness of him that moved me. Listening to Deputy Forgey describe how Gerus, after a final alert would look him in the eyes with acknowledgement, and seeing the pride on his face when LDB was showing photos of Gerus at work, continued to touch my heart and deepen my respect for LE.

And I will never forget when LE were on their hands and knees looking for all of little Caylee, just where and what the family was doing.

Delayed this post to watch brother being recalled to stand.
After his testimony he walked out of the courtroom.

There is a 5-minute recess so that DT can discuss the “event” the State has coming up next. Hmmm.

    Wendy,

I want to say the tape was put on Kaylee after she was dead. It was put there so the heart could be placed over her mouth. Otherwise, it would not have stayed in place. My heart aches for her as she said good bye to her daughter with that loving touch.

The saying she had put on her body was in memory of her little girl. Beautiful Life was for her daughter!!!

She neeeds help and love. The talking heads make me ill.
I pray that the ones who have stepped on her and torn her down NEVER have a child in the situation she is in now.

The state is slowly getting to the point about convincing the jury of the fact that Caylee was either killed in a fit of rage or killed by ignorance with chloroform.

If they can tie Casey to the computer searches in a more meaningful way. IMO Mr. Bradley needs to be brought back for another round of questioning. We have found that Casey had set up a password prtected account on the family computer. This is the area that Mr. Bradley found and detailed in testimony. However, I do not think that the state clearly brought out the fact to the jury that Casey did not share the password with anyone. This was the only area the Foxfire II internet browser was found and the information was deleted by Casey while detectives were in the next room. This tells me she planned this over a long period of time.

Somewhere, I read an opinion that when Caylee was born, Casey wanted to put her up for adoption, but Cindy prevented her from that act. Could she have been angry all of Caylee’s life for ending her irresponsible life style as she knew it? IDK.

  35. Justice for little Caylee says:

Hello to everyone. Please help in the push to have all the sealed
docs in the Caylee Anthony murder trial released to the public and hopefully someone will come forward with new information to have the person/persons prosecuted in the death of this precious little child. If her murder was the result of child porn, please pray the guilty party will have a conscience and come forward, while the ‘Mother of the year’ continues her probation and is accessible to the authorities. Mark Eiglarsh, CNN…you are right on the money about that book deal. What reputable publisher will touch that and will it be sold as fiction? Caylee’s bio Dad is alive, I don’t think so. I hope the DNA of the Grandmother involved puts this to rest. Her son did indeed resemble little Caylee and he did on occasion visit Orlando.
Vinnie, CNN. When are we going to have Wendy on your show to find out her views and how she concluded that Casey would be acquitted….

    @pat
There are no sealed investigative docs in this case and this never had anything to do with child porn.
