I just listened to the Dana Pretzer show and I have a question. I’ve said in the past that I don’t believe Caylee died in a pool drowning. However, if I were a juror who didn’t know anything about this case, I might consider that until today. Bozo told the jury today that Casey had been in jail for 3 years. If Caylee had died in an accident why in the world would she be in jail for 3 years? If she was “afraid” of her parents, once she got into jail and was surrounded by police officers, wouldn’t she have told the truth then? If Bozo ego is such that he wanted to take this to court anyway, wouldn’t the “bakers dozen” of other attorneys that have floated through there have done something about it being a accident? I just do not understand how Bozo thinks that is believable at all.

  2. A Texas Grandfather says:

I can’t believe that I hear Wendy Murphy say that Casey will walk on these charges. Wendy may be a college professor, but sometimes she comes out of left field.

The one thing that came out during the show that I find stunning is the telephone call in the middle of the night when Casey and Caylee were staying with Jessie Grund. Casey left with Caylee and came back a while later without Caylee. This tells me that what I have had suspicion of may be true. Casey was a prostitute and was pimping her little one. Oh my GOD, I hope we can find evidence that this is not true.

Our DT is really helping the state by not paying attention to how they ask questions. Now they have opened the door to evidence that Casey is a convicted felon.

Good job as always Blink. Hope your foot is better today.

lol, thank you, it was fine in an hour, I had a pansy moment. Apologies.

    Re Comment #2;
There is a story of Casey leaving the bed of Ricardo Morales where Caylee had been with them and he awoke in the mouring in bed with Casey, but no Caylee. This incident was touched upon in court last week during Morales’ testimony.

Did the same thing also happen with Jesse Grund? (I did not hear the show. I’m looking forward to doing so later this week when the recording is available).

  4. Orlandoan One says:

I cannot get anything on the program to play other than D.Pretzer’s initial commentary. Can anyone help?

And I completely agree with the above comment. Who would sit in jail for 3 years over an accident. I think that Casey contrived this latest scenario and the defense team believes it. Won’t the irony be rich indeed when Baez faces his own questions about Casey’s make believe world. His littany of imaginary friends will be second only to his imaginary happenings in the opening statement.

Sorry, the link only worked for the live show, the podcast should be available today, I will post it and that it has been added.

I’m sorry I missed you and Dana. Looking forward to chiming in when the podcast is ready.

  7. Sammy says:

    @ annals.

You’re correct, it was the bed of Ricardo Morales when the incident occurred of Casey taking Caylee out in the middle of the night and then returning alone.
    NOT Jesse Grund.
Jesse was one of the few decent men that poor little Caylee was around. MOO
He wanted to be that little girls daddy, and he and his family seem like more victims of Casey evil web.

    @ Blink.
    Great show last night.
I tuned in after it had begun, and not being used to your “voice”, for the first few minutes I thought the woman speaking was you and was thinking to myself “WTH??!!” Blink thinks THAT??
After a few more minute Mr Pretzer mentioned he was speaking to Wendy Murphy at that time (you were up after her) … and then it all made sense. lol
You and Mr Pretzer have a great on air presence. (can’t say I agreed with much of Ms Murphy’s thinking on this case though)

What has bothered me all night since listening – is the Ricardo bed incident as well.
As ATG mentioned above – my thoughts went to prostitution and some horrendous thoughts of could Casey be even worse than I ever imagined and little Caylee was somehow involved in her sexual dealings??
I can barely let my mind go there.
But where did Casey take Caylee that night? Why suddenly in the middle of the night and come back alone?

Does any of this have anything to do with something I haven’t seen mentioned much lately.
A year or more ago there was talk of hundreds of pics of Casey – (either on her computer or online) – that LE had shown to George and they had made him so physically sick that he left the room to vomit in the bathroom.

  8. Sammy says:

Another thought about a subject discussed last night.

The State has been methodical about presenting their case in chronological order.
    Until now.
The jump (excluding the first days of July) is intentional I assume, b/c the State has been masterful in keeping all the details and witness list in order.
This missig time period would cover the time period of all the work in the backyard and landscaping. Also the mysterious plumbing emergency happened then.

When do you think this time will be covered?
Is the State waiting for the defense to introduce evidence/testimony about this time period first for a strategical reason??

  17. JustJill says:

I don’t believe that Casey was pimping out Caylee in some kind of a prostitute scheme. Granted, Cindy and George were not very “knowledgeable” about their own daughter, but they sure doted on little Caylee and trust me, there would have been significant changes in little Caylee’s behavior if she was being sexually abused. IMO, Caylee seemed like a happy and normal little girl, based on videos and Cindy/George’s stories about her too. If she were being sexually abused, there would be exhibitive behavior changes.

  18. Judi says:

Just got back from being out of town and catching up. I was floored when I seen that Cindy had taken the stand for the state. I have doubted Cindy’s actions countless times since this nightmare began. Not in the manner that she did anything to Caylee, not at all, but that she went into some kind of mode that was to protect Casey at all costs so she don’t loose her also, and in doing so, loosing sight of Caylee and justice for Caylee. But, I know how hard that must have been for her, I seen how upset she got when seeing the bed and the last pic she took of Caylee. It is just painfully obvious how much George and Cindy love and miss Caylee. Kudo’s to Lee as well for his testimony. It is about time this family finally stood up TO Casey ( and in doing so, standing up FOR Caylee) because I think Casey had been the person “ruling” the household. She manipulated everyone, friends and family alike, it didn’t matter, to get what she wanted. She was a professional liar. She played everyone. You can see the pain and suffering in George and Cindy, on their faces. The look on Casey’s face is stone cold.

  19. A Texas Grandfather says:

    Ragdoll and Liam

Blink IS feeling better today. A couple days rest with family is always good. She really gave you something to think about.

I believe Blink would be classified as a media person and would be in the balcony if she were there.

Go look at the picture Blink posted Easter weekend on the Holly thread. That is a picture of her “Gram” at about Caylee’s age. I am going to guess taken around 1930 based on her dress. Those are natural blonde curls. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree. Heredity always shows itself.

Good evening Blink and Everyone….OMG Wendy Murphy made my hair stand on end with her commentary, but then Blink ,you soothed my worried brow..lol….Wendy made some valid points…but Baez is not that smart…diabolical as his Client maybe…the audacity of him asking Cindy Anthony about photo money, made me furious….. The Pot calling the kettle black …at least Cindy paid her taxes.

  22. Word Girl says:

Amy H had a small smirk today while she watched Atty. Baez bungle around. It reminded me of Blink’s article from September when Amy got her day in court.

Ms.Huhzinger(love you CJBP!)knows she got duped and robbed by an expert con and, by golly, she’s not going to let that spiteful biddy bring her down.

Hooray for CJBP who is making sure that this whole trial runs immaculately. He’s so smart!

Speaking of, has anyone noticed the great cufflinks? Hope there is a Mrs. Belvin who sings him the Destiny’s Child song, once in awhile ;)

    Hi ATG!

I’ve seen the pic of her Gram and it is precious. My son has those same curls. My hair is poker straight as is my better half. His curls come from his Grammy, no less.

I swear, the grass is always greener. I always wished for curly locks. I’d always ask my momma when she and my dad would go out to buy me curly hair!!! What I have is straight hair that is not condusive to humdity. If anyone watched Friends, my hair is just like Monica’s when she went to Barbados. ‘Knock that dog of her head’.

I embrace those curls on my little man’s head! xo

  24. annals says:

I just finished listening to this edition of The Dana Pretzer Show. Blink your insights are intreging as usual.

But; Wendy Murphy, my, oh my. She based part of her allegations that Casey was pimping Caylee on the “facts” that:

-Casey was driving a Jeep on June 17, 18 & 19, not her own car! And so, who had Casey’s car on June 17, 18 & 19?

-Casey routinely delivered Caylee to some house, apartment or place for weeks; she was taking Caylee to strange people’s houses.

Huh?! Someone needs to tell Wendy Murphy that Florida has Sunshine Laws, due to which, she can go online to read every bit of discovery in this case there is. Check it out! Casey drives Pontiac in June; Casey drives Jeep in July.

And yes, which car Casey drove when, has already been covered in court the last 2 weeks. As you said, Wendy Murphy isn’t following the court proceedings.

I like Wendy very much personally. However, I have seen her mis-state or have facts completely wrong in a few high profile cases and for some reason it drives me batty.
    B

  25. annals says:

Batty, yes, me too. I am aware of the work & writing Wendy does as a victim advocate and that’s partially why it’s particularly disheartening when she gets stuff wrong.

The other reason is that I don’t like information presented on responcible media such as Blink and Pretzer to be inaccurate. Sensational wrong “facts” have lingering halflives.

    Yep, agreed.
    B

  26. Sandy Banks says:

I listened to the podcast and thanks out to all the participants for some interesting discussion! But the issue of the car ‘being in the shop’ and using someone else’s vehicle does bring up some doubt about Casey being directly involved… what if there was another party or parties involved?

And is there any information as to whether has Casey been tested to be sure she doesn’t have MPD – or SPD – Multiple or Split Personality Disorder? The shift from weeping ‘victim’ to cold-hearted bitch is quite astounding.

I have been watching every day, but my feed has been slow so I may have missed the facts about the car…Where was the car all that time? At Amscot and in the tow yard? Did she dump it because of the smell, thinking if it got towed it might get sold/destroyed before anyone found it?

I guess I still want to be the 13th juror and give her the benefit until all the prosecution’s pieces are put in place, but certainly Baez is doing a good job of helping them out!

  27. Dellastreet says:

Blink I listened to the show, as I usually do. You are driving me absolutely crazy with the backyard landscaping change at the Anthonys in 2008 and the plumbing incident. I am driving my husband mad as a result with questions…he is an M.D. Pathologist and tries to answer my questions so I can sleep at night. Hope you will follow through on this in the end so I can die happy as I am totally blank on this! ;)

Wendy Murphy has been incorrect about several facts. However, she has always been interested (like me) in what Casey Anthony was doing all those days when she was suppose to be working for two years. More importantly… what she was doing with Caylee during that time? This has always baffled me. Wendy’s theory would assume that she was being paid to pimp herself and Caylee. Problem is… Casey never had any money. There was another murderer (killed his wife) a few years ago… who was suppose to be going to college/medical school for several years and he was not. Think his name was Hawking or something like that. It is easy for a person to fake this but with a child it is harder. Caylee was starting to form sentences and talk more clearly so it would not have been long before she would have spilled the beans on what was going on in her day. IMO

lol, I am sorry, is what it is my friend.
    B

  28. annals says:

Hi Sandy Banks; as to the car; Casey was driving it from June 16 through June 27 when she left it in the Amscot lot.

In testimony, neighbor Brian Burner, George Anthony & Tony Lazarro all saw Casey with her car at various times June 16-27. The car was never in the shop during this period.

    Casey started using other peoples cars when;
-Tony went to NY for the 4th July holiday week.
-Then when Amy was in Peurto Rico the 2nd week of July.
-After she diched it at Amscot on June 27.

Again; Casey drives her car in June, it gets all stinky with decomp at the end of June and she ditched the car. She borrowed cars in JULY.

There is really no factual question of “where the car was all that time”. See, this is why I’m driven batty when high profile commentators tell wrong facts.

  29. annals says:

I posted this today on the Tax Lien thread today and am re-posting it here in consideration of Wendy Murphy’s assertion that Casey “routinely delivered Caylee to some house apartment or place for weeks”. Geesh, I can’t believe I’m posting somthing which defends Casey from allegation of a crime (pimpimg).

In Aug 2008 when chloroform in the trunk hit the news, I was interested to know whether Casey was drugging Caylee in order to party. With that question in mind, I closely followed the discovery documents of police interviews of family, friends & aquaitances.

The police were extremely thorough about questioning everyone they could find who had contact with Casey from late May through July 2008. They asked EACH person, was Caylee with Casey & if not, did she say where Caylee was. (And they followed up with Cindy as to when Caylee was with her. Pre-June 16, Caylee was with Cindy a lot and Casey, too.)

By following the answers to these questions, the police (and we) are able to see that in each instance, although Casey often lied to her peeps about where Caylee was, Caylee was either with Casey or the Anthonys before the evening of June 16.

The only exception to this is the night/morning that Casey left Ricardo’s bed with Caylee and returned without Caylee, saying she took her home to Cindy. In that case, Cindy says she doesn’t remember Casey ever delivering Caylee in the middle of the night, then leaving. I tend to believe that Cindy intentionally didn’t remember any such instance in keeping with; her long held assertion that Casey was a responcible (and sexually abstenant) parent and Cindy’s suppression of her specific fights with Casey.

In aggrigate, I came to my own conclusion that dispite all Casey’s lying; before June 16, Caylee was always with either Casey or the Anthonys and not sedated or otherwise located elsewhere.

I spent countless hours reading discovery documents over the course of 2 years to come to my conclusion. It would take a week of spare time to post all the links needed to reference this. I invite anyone to do their own reasearch on this, all the documents are on the web, though I have yet to find an easy single place that has well labeled discovery docs.

  30. Mom3.0 says:

Listened to the show the other day, but was unable to comment until now.

Blink you were spot on in your thoughts on Lee and his testimony.

I agree with others who were a bit baffled by Wendys comments.

Although I found her thoughts interesting a her predictions scary, I appreciated her take and pray that she is not correct.

I am glad others pointed out some of the errors in her facts IRT the case..

Personally I do not see any evidence of Casey being a prostitute nor any evidence of her “pimping out” Caylee.

She certainly was not a high priced one- she was broke and stealing money from her daughters piggy bank ect FPS…

I realize I am not privy to all the evidence, but it seems to me that Casey Anthony was with Caylee when she was supposed to be working.

I think she was at home or at the park or at friends ect. That is not to say that she may not have stashed Caylee somewhere during certain times…my thoughts go toward that scene in the movie “Casino”- the mother wanted to go out and party for the night so while the child was sleeping, she tied her to the bed “just for a little while” so that she could be free. – No I dont think Casey tied Caylee to the bed but who knows what Casey Anthony was capable of doing…

Afterall everyone thought she was a wonderful, amazing mother who certainly could not make up a kidnapping inorder to cover up the “accidental” death of her baby….
which was brought on by her mothers forgetfulness with the ladder…. and her fathers choice to help her cover it up, even though he was her abuser & was overbearing – he still warned her and didnt want her to face child neglect charges… but even then, he was out to get her…. planting evidence to point the finger at her, if ever she told the truth of it all…

She needs to be seen as the victim, dont you know, not the perpetrator…
    AJMO

Good Show Blink – I wish it were longer, you always seem to be just getting started when its time to go on to a different segment of the show.

Hope you will be doing a week in review…or perhaps a new piece- looking forward to your insights, as always.

I am “managing” between 3 cases right now, I apologize, but I am booked on Dana’s show weekly.
Thank you for your kind words as always my friend, I thought of you often today, with the whole trunk image stuff.

I have to say, was anyone else surprised at the amount of leaves in the spare tire well?

“I have to say, was anyone else surprised at the amount of leaves in the spare tire well?
    B”

    Oh, yes.
If anyone “cleaned” the car, it was a female.
George would have known to check the spare tire well.

He sure would have, that was where he hid the gun he purchased.
    B

  32. Kleat says:

Blink and friends, has anyone noticed the proposed timing of the state’s case? Today, the Judge asked the state for a rough estimate, of the time they will need to present their case. Ms. LDB mentioned mid- June, which then became honed in to aiming at about the 15th, actually looking at Thursday the 16th, or Friday the 17th of June.

In Ms. Burdick’s opening, she told the jury, that at that very moment, had Caylee been alive, she would be attending the very school within sight of the place her body was found.

The state is now aiming for the day Caylee was last seen alive, and the date the defense claims she died, the 16th of June.

That would be quite the timing for Ms. Burdick to summarize her final pieces of evidence in her case, and to let the jury know what anniversary to almost the hour, of Caylee’s death that particular afternoon represents.

I am right there with you Kleat and I agree.
    B

  33. Kleat says:

Blink, to the leaves in the spare tire well– the hurricane done it! Put leaves at the radiator too. Of course, with an off-road car like the Sunfire, that’s not unusual.

Lol, your wit kills me sometimes Kleat :)
    B

  34. annals says:

No, Blink, I wasn’t surprised at the amount of leaves in the spare tire well. That said, I am always surprised at the amount of silt & leaves in my own spare tire wells, they tend to look like the bottom of Casey’s trunk. I have always driven small cars and change my own flat tires.

Link to leaves in the well; See the first 2 minuted of this WFTV video:

Disclaimer; I do not have the likes of George Anthony detailing my car bi-weekly.

  36. annals says:

I am remiss in not mentioning earlier, that I am grateful to you and Dana Pretzer for your weekly reviews of this case. I’m glad it may be ongoing.

    Thank you so much annals.
    B

  37. chelsea says:

Yes Blink, I did notice the amount of leaves and in fact asked my husband if there was any inlet into the boot (whoops! sorry, forgot the difference) from underneath the vehicle, wondering if they could have somehow been sucked in. He said no, would be sealed. Only other way for transference of leaves would have been if the tyre had been changed at some point after having picked up the debris and then placed into the well. Of course if Caylee’s remains had been buried and then removed and put into the trunk……………

  38. michigan fan says:

The reason for the wild goose chase she sent the police and parents on was so that the body could decompose and they wouldn’t be able to determine how the baby died. JMO

  39. Kleat says:

Blink, the gun hidden in the Sunfire? That makes no sense. And whatever greasy stuff OSCO forensics techs wiped from the wheel well, could have gotten onto the gun as ‘well’— wheel maybe not– but could have.

    Did I say that wrong?
George bought a handgun and hid it in the wheelwell of his vehicle.
    B

  40. JR says:

I agree michigan fan – with her wanting the body to decompose. I also think her original plan was to continue avoiding Cindy and carrying on the ‘Caylee’s with the nanny’ excuses while crashing at Tony’s for as long as she could. She wanted to ensure herself the body would never be found or at least badly decomposed before staging the ‘official kidnapping’. Maybe the original plan was to set Jesse Grund up as a real suspect rather than a non-existent person who would never check out or maybe she was going to say it was a car jacking or someone took Caylee right from the house (hence, the self-defense household weapons tied in with the preceding chloroform google searches). I always thought if she premeditated murder, she is smart enough to know that a kidnapping by a woman she has supposedly known for years yet doesn’t really exist was potentially a double edged sword and a lie they would surely catch. Zanny was just the convenient non-existent Nanny that nobody could corroborate her lying of Caylee’s whereabouts with while she was already dead and decomposing and Casey carried on as ‘absolutely’ otherwise. Maybe she was planning to stretch it out another month,or maybe she just got kind of sidetracked with ‘Tony time’ or the unexpected smell of death spoiling her car, but she certainly didn’t count on that day Cindy was at Tony’s door. She also didn’t count on Cindy being beyond the point of letting her talk her way out of getting Caylee right then and there. Casey’s mind ran through all her story options as she argued with Cindy in the car, bullshitted with Lee at the house and to the point she realized she was backed in a corner the police already on their way…she had to wing it and at that moment the Zanny kidnapping was the best she had to go with.

  41. JR says:

After the damning jailhouse tape disaster, Baez actually bounced back quite well today (in my opinion). At first I thought he was going to cry at JBP yet again ruling against and scolding him, then he got right on point and actually did some good damage to the FBI’s decomp hair forensics. not only discrediting the science and sample itself, but revealing the state’s expert witness to have failed her last proficiency testing as well. The intro to the air samples, he immediately put into question having the witness confirm it as a procedure never before used with OCSD and air samples being taken for the very first time.

If he just focused on facts and raised these legitimate kind of doubts instead of distracting it with forced tidbits of cross examine to bolster pure fantasy, he’d really do his client and himself a lot better.

  42. Gigi says:

Know nothing about the type of profiency exam that Ms. Lowe had to pass, but I know a lot of 4yr RNs who don’t pass their licensing test several times and end up being excellent nurses. It happens in administration also. Some people do not test as well as others. I know Baez was using this to make jury feel Lowe and her science were not accurate, but he was such a snot about it. I know that’s his job, but…. Then he tears down Vincent because some of his procedures were his first to actually do. So?? Vincent held his own well and seemed quite proficient. Baez seemed to rattle him a few times…but think it was because Vincent thought Baez was a joke.

Still getting tweets during the live feed that several jurors, one in particular are not paying attention and nodding off. Oh, dear.

Why was Mason never up for cross exam…is there a way they decide that ahead of time? What is “the whisperer” lady’s job for defense?

Blink will the jury have the opportunity to smell the decomp? Will the dogs demonstrate their skill in the court room? Was this gun purchased by George and hidden in the Wheel well bought just before his suicide bid?

Blink you say that Caylee died at the home address…but do you think she was drowned at the hands of someone? Or do you think it was another accident or angry moment? Also, the dude with the “win her over with chloroform” pic on his networking page….do you think he got Casey to pondering choroform? And what exactly did that pic mean….like a date rape drug? I don’t understand.

  43. Gigi says:

Blink says on the other thread:

That said, I vehemently believe that Caylee was deceased when she was placed in the trunk, and I do not feel she ever experienced the torment of being in it, at least not on this plane. Caylee Anthony died at 4937 Hopespring.

Thank goodness that baby didn’t die in there in the dark, all alone.

I have worked on some hellacious murders. Some I have never written about publicly because I was duty-bound or are under a current subpoena.

As I live and breathe, this cherub met her end at the Anthony home, as all evidence points to.

    B

  44. merry says:

I also think she was going to set up Jesse Grund. She showed up at his house asking to use the shower and he said that she didnt look like she needed one. I think she was going to take hair from the drain from Jesses and try to set him up as the murdrer.

    agreed.
    B

  45. merry says:

This is what I dont understand. She had so many people that were good to her and she had no problem setting them up to take the rap for murder. Namely Jesse, Amy, Ricardo, Mr. Kronk who found the remains. Mr. Kronk is the real hero here. Lets not forget the lady with the name of Zenaida Gonzolez. She could have been jailed and she had nothing to do with this mess. Disgraceful!

  46. TR says:

Still listening to the podcast, but I’m confused about where Ms. Murphey’s information comes from. I do not recall ever hearing facts that indicate Casey dropped Caylee off on a regular basis. I’m lost here. A lot of what she said is new news to me. I even think the “middle of the night” at her bf’s house is a matter of definition and Cindy not recalling the exact night. I am thinking it was more like 11:00 pm. or thereabouts.

  47. merry says:

One more thing. George and Cindy Anthony would STILL be covering for her if she wasnt now pointing the finger at them.

  48. Ragdoll says:

    Unbelievable comments and observations!

    Kleat, I didn’t see that coming….June 16.

WRT Mason and Simms not seeing the jail tapes before hand, I would not be surprised JB had something to do with this. Mason has admitted many times he is not computer savvy. Would these 2 have joined the defense team if they knew about the videos?

I’m not making excuses for Mason or Simms. I see JB having the capacity to get what he wants, regardless of how under handed it may be.

I don’t agree that George and Cindy would still be covering for her. I think the turning point is that she is now claiming that Caylee drowned in the pool, and admitting that she knew Caylee was dead all along. That takes away the last possible basis of denial on their parts.

Texas Grandfather I also have had those same thoughts. That Casey had a ‘manfriend’ caring for Caylee at times and he brought her back to Casey damaged/dying..For whatever reason Casey knew that Caylees body needed to decompose as much as possible before being found..
