    Blink,with all due respect, this is only my second post here but I have read here everday. You didn’t fail her Blink, her family failed her long before July 15th 2008.

    You brought together a family here that stood by this baby in death to seek justice, and truth and you have delivered that. These jurors took lady justice’s blindfold and CM’s hearing aids with dead batteries and failed this baby,not you.

    Blink, I just wonder if Not Guilty verdict was because they realized if they found her guilty, they would then have to wait 48 hrs before they could even start the sentencing phase. Not only jury member supposed to leave on trip July 7, I’m sure the rest were more than ready to go home! One or two of jurors probably reminded the others how much longer they would have to stay if they found her guilty. JMO… thx for all you’ve done, Blink, not only on this case but others!

  4. Whaazupwitchu says:

    I am wondering about the TAINTED JURY as this Juror #14 seems to have discussed things with other jurors. It said he called HLN somewhere.
    Or runaway jury with fatigue and boredom and wanting to get out so went with the guy who teaches evidence, all of the above works too. Citizens of FL can get together and protest this tainted jury.

    Keeping it simple, I have heard stories in the “wild West” (modern ones) where people had their own justice without anyone protesting.

    It also made me think there is a great need for jury reform. These were not very bright jurors, didn’t a few of them not finish h.s.? Whereas today in the metro areas, we can have 1/3 of the people with college degrees. These PhD and CSI testimonials can be highly complex and not appropriate for some of the people to be able to make such serious judgements on. Perhaps it is not enough to be a citizen on a list and we need more qualifications, though unfortunately, a lot of the people that have jobs are the most qualified to judge and may not be available to do long jury duty. Not meaning to be a snob here, but if anyone is chosen it could (like in this case) have serious consequences where she will re-offend. But retired people may be best. I know there is some idea about reform, but not necessarily about who to choose – that I have not seen yet, more about juries being able to ask questions.

    I agree, totally inappropriate for Baez and team to celebrate in public. They should have gone to Caylee’s memorial. But what do they care, they are thinking – cha-ching! They want to help her? – let her move in with them.

    Not only did Cindy enable up the wazoo, but now the jury did. She may get even worse, especially prancing around Hollywood and all the talk shows. There are already guys dumb enough to get with her and she has her wiles with this.

    Bill Schafer, legal analyst, ( last night when I heard it) , said she will probably serve a couple months more MAX, then move to CA. (yuck) Isn’t she on probation and won’t they want to keep her in FL then? He said she will end up being a celebrity and may never have to work in her life.

    Maybe it was a rumor, but somewhere it said Harvard was looking at Ashton. Wasn’t he gonna retire anyway?

    Blink et al did their best, we cannot help what they did in court.

    Were you part of the Defense strategy after all?

    My thoughts today that just perhaps the entire family REALLY did fall on the sword. Maybe all agreed to say or do anything to save Casey. If Lee and George allowed JB to say they were molesters to cast doubt because they knew it was untrue and never could be proven….. That is their sacrifice to save her. Everything was an act, prepared to save Casey. Is this idea too far fetched?

    No no too far fetched and I believe you are right.They all wanted to save Casey and was in it with Baez.After awhile it did play out like a soap opera and very upset the judge let this happen

    Blink ~

    I’ve seen that movie. Are you inferring there was somehow jury tampering here? I had this weird little feeling the day the jury was selected that something was just really off with a few of the jurors permitted to go through and some of the demeanors of several of them. I honestly believe several of them knew more about the case than they admitted and outright LIED during voire dire to get through to acquit Jose’s client. I will never stop believing something surreal happened before the trial ever even started because seriously … it’s like many of the jurors already had their minds made up from their actions/reactions during the case way before it even started.

    Was their little list of who got the first interviews in order a smokescreen too? Starting to believe they never intended to even give a press conference after the fact knowing they were all going to throw it right from the beginning. Something very off took place the last 6 wks with that jury. How the ***** do you convict someone of LYING to LE when you say they’re not guilty of what they are accused on lying ABOUT????? Honestly … I really need to know!! Not even child abuse, nothing! Something smells in suburbia and I want answers!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    @Liam: As we all know, the makeup of the jury matters.
    The following are a few of the Peterson jurors:
    *foreman: young male paramedic (spoke so eloquently after the verdict)
    *male, in his 40′s, former police officer and former Marine (interviewed recently; came across as very intelligent, spoke of importance of understanding circumstantial evidence, iirc.
    *male, teamster, truck drivre
    *female, mother of young children aka “Strawberry Shortcake” (named for her pink hair!)
    *male, his future son-in-law worked side by side with Laci at “The Shack”.
    Perhaps that sheds some light.
    When the verdict was read for the charge of premeditated murder, did anyone notice the evil ‘I am such a good liar/ I pulled one over on them too’ grin that originally crept across her face before she realized ‘oh, that’s an inappropriate response’. She then quickly closes her mouth tightly, trying hard to not laugh/smirk/smile, then just as quickly switches to tears. Unbelievable.
    i saw the same thing. the same thing and it turned my stomach.
    @Mellaril (very interesting hat!) and SOTT:
    Yes, I caught CA’s fleeting “I actually got away with it!” smile as the verdict was being read. But, did anyone catch JB’s smile as he locked eyes with various jurors moments before the verdicts were read? He smiled brightly in a juror’s direction as if he was returning a smile. I knew then that the jurors were about to adjudge her not guilty.
    Trust me the Anthony had a hand in this. They passed Casey notes every week thru Baez. Cindy committed perjury on the stand. Someone came up with the idea of the pets. If I was law enforcement I would dig the dam yard up to see if there was any dead buried pets in the back yard with duct tape on them. Yes Casey can make alot of money; however Zenida has a law suit against her and I pray that she will be awarded millions. This is the only way Casey will pay. It will just be a matter of time before she turns up in a body bag somewhere with duct tape on her face. Alot of people know this is not right. Cindy and Casey will end up killing each other. They have forgotten all about an innocent little girl that was thrown away and murdered like trash. Do ya’ll remember the movie fatal attraction? Well Baez and family watch out troubles coming your way.
  19. ISpy says:
    I said to a family member this afternoon, “I feel like the world has turned upside down.” My spouse said to me hours later, “The world has turned upside down.” Thumbing through my Bible tonight, waiting to begin devotions, I glanced down to see Isaiah 5:20. I read, “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.” Word from the Lord!
    My family mourned Caylee anew this day. Even while we struggled to understand, we realized we had two choices: to blame and rail at God or trust Him. We chose to trust Him with this. Our dinner thanks included thanking Him that He did not fall off the throne today because of this verdict, it was no surprise to Him (just to us). A reminder to ourselves, as much as a praise.
    A little background info here: We’ve been slowly working our way through the book of Proverbs for a few months now-reading a few at a time, discussing them, thinking how they apply to us and how to apply them as warnings and instructions from God to our personal lives. Anyway, tonight we began Proverbs 16. Then God answered our “How could this happen?” prayers. Proverbs 16:4 “The Lord works out everything for his own ends-even the wicked for a day of disaster.”
    Proverbs 16:5 “The Lord detests all the proud of heart. Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.” We realized that just because something didn’t work out the way WE thought it would or should, doesn’t mean it isn’t working out the way God planned. I’m not suggesting God wanted Caylee killed or Casey getting off scot-free (not by a long shot). What I am saying is, that this is far from over. We haven’t seen the ending yet. Proverbs 16:5 “…Be sure of this: They will not go unpunished.”.
    —————————————————
    I pray someone takes her out before then, Anniex9. HLN news already posted increased security at the Anthony home because the Ant’s have received death threats. Wonder what Casey will get once SHE gets there?
    Want irony? Vinnie Politan said earlier on HLN tonight that so many families with young children were gathering off Suburban Dr where little Caylee was eventually found after the verdict was read.
    Yet, Cindy didn’t go there for Caylee, George didn’t go there for Caylee, Lee didn’t go there for Caylee and we KNOW Casey sure as hades won’t go there for Caylee. The general public makes grieving little Caylee a family affair, complete with their entire families present, little children and all … and yet, not ONE of the Anthony’s did it for their own granddaughter. It’s like the public will never forget … but her own family has already long forgotten her. This isn’t justice … it’s hell in a handbasket.
We should all be upset the Prosecution represents the people to keep us safe. Everything we heard presented by the DT is totally self serving.     On this day Father, we wanted peace and justice on earth for Caylee. Yet for reasons we will never understand during this journey here, it was not to be. We rest in the assurance of knowing your ways are not our ways, your thoughts are not our thoughts, and your time is not our time. In the deep places of our spirits we know that is good. We know too you are a just God and vengence belongs solely to you — that too is good. I just humbly ask you to cause all whose faith and love is shaken this day to remember we must continue to stand for what is right and true, no matter the pain and hurt it may cause. For alas, there will be another innocent who will need voices of the righteous in order to be heard. Heal our souls so that once again we will rise to shout for justice from the roof tops. Again Lord, we thank you for receiving Caylee to her eternal loving home and we thank you for sharing her with each of us here. Amen and Amen.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    @Mosaic: I couldn’t agree more.

    Indulge me and let me make a prediction. This is my opinion only and based on evidence revealed during trial.

    We all know CA’s propensity for committing felonies and misdemeanors. She has exeptionally sticky fingers especially when it comes to others’ money/checks. I have never known a leopard that could change her spots, so I would not be surprised at all to see her rearrested on some new charge(s) before long. Considering the apparent complete absence of empathy in this offender, this exoneration may make her think she is made of teflon, and can get away with anything. This will be her undoing.

    But enough about her. My thoughts are with Caylee tonight.

  31. Marcie says:

    I’ve always believed that old saying, “Better 10 guilty men (or women) go free, than one innocent man unjustly imprisoned”… and I’ve repeated it over and over to myself today, hoping the words would somehow mend my broken heart and calm the rage I feel at this horrible injustice.. it’s not helping.
    Casey Anthony will NOT be able to live a life that does not again collide with the laws of society, humanity, or the justice system. She couldn’t BEFORE she killed her daughter, and she can’t now.
    She has no boundaries, nor any idea what living a “normal” life would even look like. Like OJ Simpson, it is who she is, and one day she will feel justified in killing again. Her lack of anonymity and the facade of appearing on the outside to be a “normal”, attractive girl will no longer provide an assumption of innocence, or “reasonable” doubt in the face of horrific crimes. She will be emboldened by her victory today, and will believe she can get away with it again.
    Like Dr. Bart Corbin, who killed his girlfriend making it look like a suicide. He got away with it..for a time. Some years later, he killed his wife in the same way and again, made it it look like a suicide. He thought he was invincible, but finally his crimes were exposed. He’s in prison for 2 murders today. Casey Anthony will never pay for Caylee’s murder, but SHE IS WHO SHE IS – a murderer who will not, and can not, morph into a law-abiding, “normal” person. Those closest to her are in grave danger, for she WILL kill again someday. Of that, I am 100% convinced.

    There is no second bite of this apple. No juror will explain their reasons for their decision and by law they don’t have to. I know we don’t understand right now but time always tells. So we wait. Just as the sun rises and sets light will come to the truth.

    What we all have to remenber is all the lives that this group of people attempted to destroy. If they can’t benifit from destorying others. Who will they benifit from. We have to wait for the destruction we will diffinetly see in the future. Caylee is dead and abandoned by flesh and blood. Her bones where eaten by animals. The animals around her.

    Lets put her in Gods hands. Vengence is mine says the Lord. Caylee has taught us many lessons with her death. I have learned there is pure evil in this unfair world…. that I can’t explain away with behaviors. That children are the smallest helpless lambs of the Lord. That HE has put people like Blink here for us to see and learn from. That the meek do inherit the earth. Lieing is a sin, thought that was always silly, but have seen how liying is sinful to the point of evil. I will embrace and look with more of an awareness of wonder of my children. They are truly gifts from God to be treasured.

    I think, if we think where Caylee has taken us to learn we will see the goodness she has left behind. Perhaps I say to myself, ICA is innocent cause Caylee has more lessons to teach.

    Thank you New, excellent post.

    I say… to all those who think they failed Caylee, don’t. What goes around, comes around. Casey will pay. ZFG is now allowed to have her day in court… and lets not forget everyone else in line after Roy Kronk.

    I don’t trust the Anthony’s or Jose. When Jose asked George on the stand… If he would do anything in the world to protect Casey… even if he was to “take the wrap”, George said “Yes”. Right then and there I thought George knew what the game plan was and how to play it. To me… Georges tears were fake. My guess is the State trusted George and Cindy and never thought twice that they have been been on the DT all along.

    I only wish Caylee father’s DNA was proven as that may of helped. Speaking of which… could Casey’s biological father take claim on any or all book deals?

    How will this family live happily ever after? There will be no rest for the wicked. Only time will tell.

    Juror #14 (alternate) has spoken.

    The State did not prove their case.
    Thought George was hiding something.
    Thought Casey was a good mother.
    No motive was shown.

    Window to # 1-12.

    Makes NO sense to me.

    —————————————–

    WTF was this guy inhaling? No motive was shown? What? The “Bella Vita” tattoo AFTER Caylee was gone. The partying, etc?

    Casey was a good mother? WTF? Right … the jailhouse phone call when Caylee was allegedly “missing” where all Casey was concerned about was getting Tony’s phone number. Did they not hear the contempt dripping from her voice not to mention the complete disregard for Caylee in every possible way? The sarcasm “Surprise, surprise!” during the jailhouse visit with Cindy and George when Cindy comments on the media’s latest theory that Caylee had drowned in the pool. I wished to God the jury would’ve heard Tony Rusciano testify about Casey calling her daughter “the little snothead”. What about the duct tape, the chloroform, the endless partying/drinking/sexing it up? What “good” mother does that with a child to take care of? Good mother? Casey Anthony almost makes Eileen Wuornos look timid.

    The State DID prove their case. My opinion is the jury had their own agenda from the beginning and just didn’t want to listen to it. They seemed hellbent in many ways of siding with the defense even before they ever stepped foot in Orange County. Many had priors before themselves. Pinellas County sure scraped the bottom of the barrel when they did that original jury pool selection. Those jurors did not want to be there and didn’t give a rat’s arse about actual justice for a little girl,IMO. They just wanted to go home! Well sleep well Anthony jurors … you cowards. I hope you see visions of little Caylee lying in that swamp wet, muddy and broken for the rest of your selfish lives. And pray none of us are ever on a jury for one of your loved ones.

    For starters I would like to know how he was under the impression a motive needed to be shown, because that is not a burden for the state in Florida.

    The reality is, I said from day one, sequestering juries for cases like this, in this manner, does not work.

    Your post @7:47 P.M.

    A very thoughtful post about how to think and evaluate reasonable doubt. The way you presented this is the very reason that I spent 20 years as a host for people to discuss relegion and philosophy on a weekly basis. People are not taught to think on a broad enough basis in our present educational system. It takes years for maturity to arrive for most.

    Those on this blog are some of the most mature and loving individuals I have found on any site. Sometimes things are said that do not come out exactly right, but the motive for good is always there.

    Lizzy your post @ 8:42P.M.

    A real guideline for all of us to follow. Any activity related to the posibility of Casey Anthony making money should not be supported. This is how you beat evil. Just do not support it in any way.

    Mom3.0 your post @ 11:08P.M.

    Thank you for the cheers to all who worked so hard to find justice for our little angle Caylee, our little “Sunshine child”.

    IMO this jury was made up of a group of people who lacked the ability to reason. The court made a major mistake in moving to a county outside of orange county to select jurors. The jury did not want to be responsible for finding a person guilty of murder, so they took the easy way out. Just find them not guilty and we can all go home.

    I believe that we are all held responsible for our acts on this planet by a higher power. Casey will have to spend a long time correcting her mistakes at the next level.

    Blink get some rest. You will need it, for justice is a never ending quest and your faithful army of supporters will join you wherever you point the way.

    Blink – I seldom post but read often. I’m not sure why Justice was not served but of all things – you did NOT fail Caylee. You’ve done so much good for Caylee and others. I’m sorry it turned out this way but you and the prosecution should hold their heads hi. And, no effort was wasted here by you or posters (so many amazing posters). Your support and the support of THIS community matters for Caylee even Casey walks free. It matters that you care.

    Absolutely masterful, Riddle. I couldn’t have said it better.

    This is exactly what I have been saying over and over and over in my head for the last 3 yrs. People don’t get it. Especially people who live in the fantasy world of naivete where “everyone basically is good and has a conscience” which many of us know is not the case and definitely not in this one.

    I believe many people are just completely naive and basically ignorant regarding this specific case and will never see it for what it truly is. For those who think this is “just another trial and just another case” they are sadly mistaken. It is so much more than that and the apathy some have toward it just astounds me.

    I agree, Casey WILL kill again … very likely, especially if she has another child that eventually gets in her way or comes between her and her next potential bed partner but apparently there are many suckers standing in line. I pray she is spayed.

    Blink, my dear friend, you did not fail Caylee.

    Her mother did.

    May God bless and keep you as you continue to advocate for victims.

    You are their voice. You are a hero.

    Thank you for the kind words, I am no hero, the people on this site, maintaining vigilance when it seems like the hardest thing to do in the world, like yourself, are heroes.

  49. Blink, If you have done your best and given your all- YOU have not failed Caylee. Now is the time to leave it to our Lord. His word confirms that Thought shall not shed innocent blood and vengences is his. We all had high expectations an now seemed crushed.BUT GOD has the final word an he is always VICTORIOUS. Would love to see a pix of your mama doll when you get her.

    Okay, still pre-Vodka wake here. The song lyrics come across the wires in a sort of inordinate order. Here’s one that struck me tonight.

    Allison Kraus Kraus and Robert Plant, somehow…what did Casey call it? in a round-about way (a backwards sort of way), I find some method to the madness here…some solace, some sadness, also.

    Where is J2K? She might help me out with this complex thought.

    You’re solid in this world where someone gets aquitted of murder on an f-ing whim.

    Okay, maybeeee the vodka has started to kick in.

    Love to all you…please know that I love you.
