Blink, my gosh …what just happened ?

Nothing is farther than the justice here. So surreal

I hit submit too quickly. I am in a state of total disbelief. I watched the verdict from work and had to run outside to get some air. I am shocked, saddened and angered. My heart is broken for poor little Caylee. I am disgusted at the system and I am more disgusted with the jurors.

  3. Cristy says:

Disturbing to say the least. Casey will be free to make millions off the killing of her own precious child. What a messed up world we live in where killing your own child can be make you rich and infamous.

  4. Smartypants says:

She got away with Murder. Just like she’s gotten away with every sneaky, dirty thing she’s done all her life. Watch Cindy take her right back home and have a ‘shower’ for her. She has no regrets, no guilt, no shame.

All I can find any comfort in right this moment, is to look at what happened to OJ. He remained Public Enemy #1 – until the day his conduct finally put him where he belongs. Casey will never change. She’ll get pregnant and kill again.

  5. c10 says:

Blink, say it isn’t so – i am disgusted and mad as Hell!! please tell me i’m having a nightmare… i think i need some serious therapy now, let me just say… Burn In Hell Casey!!!! sorry

  6. Pfnan says:

My faith in the judicial system has been rocked to the core also. What happens now? Chaney Mason – you don’t know what disgust is until your client finds how reviled she is.

  7. noJustice says:

I’m sick, just sick. Stunned beyond ….words. Stunned. Pray that Karma will get her like it did OJ.

  8. Lilah says:

Jose Baez sure looks smug. Nauseating.

So no one is going to be held responsible for this little girl’s death?

Maybe OJ will help Casey “find the real killer.” Ugh.

  9. Tess says:

I have following this case for 3 years. My hubby was right all along?
He kept telling me over and over that she would not be convicted. I told him was crazy. I have officially lost all faith in American Justice System. OJ, Robert Blake and now this. How can all of us not just give up over this? What’s the sense? Murderer’s go free,
mob rule and chaos that’s all there is left for us…just watch. God help us all. Linda, Jeff, Frank et all you did a fabulous job. Thank you. Someone got to this jury.. there’s no other explanation .

I feel like I’m going to be sick. I remember the day OJ’s verdict came in. We went to a party that nite and and no one mentioned it at all, never said a word. This is how I feel now, I just can’t talk about it anymore. We’re sunk folks and I won’t change my mind about that. I’m very afraid for our future as a people and a nation. Oh well here come the movies, books interviews and STARDOM for Team Casey…can’t stomach thought of it. Where can we focus our energies now.. like to hear opinions.

  10. Dave S. says:

Well it will only be so long before Casey does this again. Would you want Casey coming hone after this? If she does kill again, I hope the jury can live with the verdict they chose. How could she not be found guilty of at least man slaughter?
    Un-believeable!!!!!

  11. estrella says:

Why are parents able to get away with murdering their children? This just continues to get worse. I can’t believe “the system” has let down little Caylee. I am so, so sorry sweet baby girl.

  12. Redrock says:

I saw very little factual evidence presented that SHE killed anyone. I saw multiple instances of stupidity, lying, callousness, familial dysfunction, and absurdity. I think the jury did its job based on what it got. Something resonated with this jury and I expect some will discuss it later. This was a relatively quick verdict, given the amount of evidence. Like it or not and for all the wrong reasons, Baez has made a name for himself

  13. cali4nia says:

    What justice for Caylee?

  14. Sammy says:

I feel so badly for Yuri Mellich and John Allen, Linda Drane-Burdick, Jeff Ashton, Frank George, and all of LE and Orange County Sheriff’s Office that have worked SO HARD to bring justice for sweet, innocent little baby Caylee.

    They must just be devastated.
Spend the last 3 years of their lives devoted to bringing justice to this little baby that was triples bagged and thrown in the swamp.

    Blink …
    God Bless you.
    You must be heartbroken.
You worked so hard work and with such diligence for Caylee.

    I’m at a loss.

  15. Phyllis says:

I guess if you have a problem with your child and you want to get rid of them so you can have “the goood life” you just kill them, put them in garbage bags, and throw them in the swamp to rot away. That tells me a lot about the people of Florida. I am sick to my stomach. So I guess we will never know what happened to Caylee.

  16. Classygal says:

No justice for little Caylee today folks! Sorry to say.

  17. MarianahLu says:

Where is the justice for Caylee?

  18. peggy says:

    Wow!

  19. Mirage says:

    This is a gross injustice… a travesty.

  20. rollermonkey says:

This all seems wrong, but remember this… Caylee was already gone. Casey being found guilty wouldn’t bring her back. I find a bit of twisted comdfort in knowing Casey will being going back home to her family. They know what she did. They participated in her lies. The will look at Casey’s face everyday and see Caylee. They will have to live with this.

Casey just plain doesn’t care. Nothing will change that. Caylee is in a good safe place. She knows how many people truly love her and care about her here on earth. She’s ok.

Let’s just all do what we can to not let this happen again. Watch out for eachother and always watch out for innocent children. Do that for Caylee.

  21. SusanNH says:

I can’t believe it. I have tears in my eyes.

If just one person on that jury had ever smelled a dead body I think
the outcome would have been different.

    Caylee did not get justice.
    This is devastating.

I am now looking to Blink to set the record straight and help us understand this tragedy.

    Susan

She will likely walk with time served. And she can breed again!

  23. connie says:

    Blink,
O.K. What about the plumbing problem?

  24. zinnia says:

The very cynical side of me makes me think that the quick turnaround of a verdict is the product of a sequestered jury who just wanted to go home and get on with their lives.

  25. lyla says:

No justice for Caylee……who was murdered in cold blood. What would you have done if you were on the jury and why? I have mixed feelings. Three years jail time and Casey is now a free women. Somthing is just not right.

  26. susan2 says:

The ONLY good thing I can think of that has come from today’s verdict is….OK George and Cindy, now you get to have your lazy, lying, Caylee killing daughter back. How lucky you are. It couldn’t happen to any more deserving parents. Do Florida a favor and move out of the state. We don’t want ANY of you here. We don’t want to employee you. We don’t want to hear any more of your lies. We don’t want to see you cry for Caylee (we’ll do that). We don’t want to see you on the media circuit. We don’t want to read any books you might write. WE JUST PLAIN AND SIMPLE DON’T WANT YOU!!!

  27. Ragdoll says:

I’m sorry….maybe it’s the shock or anger in me…I need to question this….desperately…

Was this verdict made in haste? I cannot believe not 1 person did not find that egg donor guilty. It’s beyond my comprehension. There are a few jurors who wanted to leave Dodge for personal reasons. Is it better to be unanimous and go with not guilty so a life is spared?

Something does not jive here. AND NO….this does NOT prove the justice systems works. It proves that dishonesty, perjury, cutting corners, blame placing, partying, tattooing and inadequate counsel is your ticket to freedom.

Lord, please give me the grace to give it up to You. You are the all living, the all knowing. Help me to forgive. I beg of you!!!!!

  28. Lisa in Joisey says:

My faith in the justice system is completely demolished! After all the evidence and the brilliant closing arguments of the prosecutors, and the bumbling and underhanded tactics of the defense, how could this jury let her walk? I feel like crying right now. I do predict that, once she is in general population, she will get the shyt kicked out of her! I wonder if her parents will accept her back with open arms, even though they will need to sleep with one eye open. I also predict that George, Cindy and Casey will self destruct, and destoy each other (more that Casey already has) There simply must be Karma!!

  29. Karri (camsmom) says:

This will be my last day following the Caylee Anthony case. From here on out all movies, books, pictures, or video we see you can bet her murderous mother will profitting from. My faith in the justice system has been severely damaged. I will, not just for my own child, but for Caylee also, be the BEST mother I can be to my 3yo son. I will try to remember that she is in Heaven with GOD, and all her suffering has been taken away. I must believe that her mother will pay the ultimate price when she meets her Maker.

  30. chelsea says:

Blink – I am sooo sorry that your dedicated hard work has been for nought. Mason has a short memory, it wasn’t so long ago when he gave an interview saying that she was guilty. I am so upset, I’m speechless. Thank you for trying.

  31. Lilah says:

I want know what happens next. Are they gonna reopen the investigation? Or is no one going to be held responsible for killing this child?

  32. Kiki says:

Never posted as my opinions have been expressed by all who post here. However, this has been a truly sad day for me. How can this be? Everyone is comparing this to the OJ trial, which I am too young to remember, but I feel like maybe that is the link? High profile “trial of the century” cases? Where has common sense gone? Jeff and Linda did Caylee proud, and so has everyone here. It’s hard to believe that the only ones that stood for Caylee are the ones who never met her.

  33. Keefer says:

Soooo…a person really can get away with murder. But in this day and age it seems to happen a lot, esp with children being the victims. I hope that the jurors realize what they have done.

  34. grandma alice says:

she can get 4 yrs.. she’s served 3 and with good behavior she’ll probably go home afte court on Thurs.. I am still numb.. the only good thing about any of this is that Caylee doesnt have to live with this lying family anymore..

  35. Gerta says:

    God help us all. :(

  36. Nicole says:

Thank you Blink for all the time that you put into this case to help enlighten others! I now what Casey did, you know what Casey did, many others know what Casey did and Casey knows what Casey did. Unfortunately the jurors didn’t feel it was proven. Justice isn’t always served on earth, but I believe there are eternal consequences to our actions. Casey not only ended her time with Caylee on this earth, but for all of eternity. May your time with your precious little blinks be that much more joyful knowing that they will be with you forever!

    TY Kindly
    B

  38. Bear says:

There is NO JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE!! I am sick about this so yes anytime you get mad at your baby or hey your children for that fact just kill them and stuff them in bags to rot and you will get off scott free!!! WTH??? I am so dam mad I hope someone takes that evil bitch out!

  39. PamVA says:

I found my words. I can’t believe this has happened. So the jury found her guilty of lying to the police. WTF do they think she was lying about? Let’s say they did believe that she knew Caylee accidentally drowned in the pool, wouldn’t it ,at the very least, be child abuse/neglect not to call 911 and try and get help or report this? At this point, I PRAY that the prosecution goes after Cindy Anthony both barrels for purgery. How much you wanna bet that Jose and Casey go after George for molestation charges, just for kicks?

  40. sheepdog says:

    Speechless

  41. Erin says:

This is a sad day for lady justice & Caylee Anthony. Baez has won the lotto & I’m sure Casey will make tons of money giving interviews. They may have it made on earth, but there will be a time for justice. It is in God’s hands now.

She will not be able to get a job,no one will be her friend, her family is broken beyond repair. Where is this piece of crap going to go?

  46. WriterInTheRain says:

Disillusioned doesn’t begin to describe my feelings about this verdict. The parents had better watch their backs; I do believe she is capable of anything. So sad.

  47. A Texas Grandfather says:

We have IMO just witnessed a total breakdown of our jury system in the State of Florida.

This jury FAILED MISERABLY IN DOING THEIR JOB.

Casey will server what ever time the judge gives her and get out to be a lying preadator on the public. I will predict that she will get in trouble with the law withing a year of being released.

  48. twinkletoes says:

It will be very interesting to hear the explanations from the jury, if they comment. I have to say, watching this trial, I thought the most damaging testimony to the case against Casey was the former lover of George who claimed that he told her the death of Caylee was an accident that snowballed out of control. Wow, this really surprised me. But really, I have to admit there were times where I looked at her family and thought, holy God, these people are nuts and it could have been any one of them. God rest the soul of little baby Caylee.

  49. amandaperson says:

Wasted. I completely agree with that. This case kept me up at night for three years, just to have all my beliefs about our justice system shattered.

I watched NANCY GRACE FOR THIS! FOR MONTHS!

    I need a shower.

There is no true justice in this lifetime. Not even the death penalty or life in prison would bring Caylee back. Unfortunately I’m forced to believe the only true justice is in God’s hands.

Justice for Caylee is in the hearts of all the people that read this blog and honestly cared about finding her alive, and prayed for her. This trial is over, but her memory will live on and on and on.

    Still, I am devestated.

  50. Löni says:

Cindy and George better hide their Credit Cards and check books when Casey comes home. They’ ve got the punishment. For them a nightmare surely that has no end.
