Sister, may I post your prayer to my FB? It was exactly what I needed today, thank you.

I think the jury took ‘above any and all reasonable doubt’ with them to the jury room but left their common sense behind.
Liam you said:
The actions of Casey Anthony makes it virtually impossible for anyone to believe she is completely innocent in the death of her daughter, she has to live with this for the rest of her life.
The first part of your statement hits the nail on the head, and that is the problem. Reasonable doubt is not equivalent to zero doubt.
The second part of your statement outlines another problem. You, (and I assume the jury as well at this point), are missing a very important point about Pathological, Sociopathic or Psycopathic behavior (pick your favorite word, they all amount to the same behavior). Please don’t tell me that’s not proven. The defense themselves have admitted Casey has serious problems and the long history of her behavior is equivalent to a ‘text book’ definition.
I could be wrong, but I take it you still assume Casey is a ‘normal’ feeling person who has “to live with what she did”. It appears you assume she is just like the ‘rest of us’. This is a farce and a problem in our thinking as a soceity. They (the pathological) are able to do what they do, and continue doing it because they HAVE NO CONSCIENCE NOR EMPATHY. People in general cannot wrap their heads around this and don’t ‘get it’ until they’ve been personally exposed to someone like this.
Casey will have to live with whatever backlash she receives from soceity. But that within her which allowed this to occur, will prevent her from ever having to ‘live with what she did’ as in remorse, regret or personal feelings of mourning in any meaningful way. She did not mourn Caylee…..and she never will. Casey will mourn the 3 years she lost in jail over it, and that is all.
I still believe justice for Caylee will come, obviously not in the way we all thought or hoped; that does not mean it will not yet come to fruition. I just hope and pray the life of yet another child will not be lost in order for it to happen.
It’s going to happen, Casey isn’t going to be ‘cured’ by this, she’ll be emboldened by it. She’s going to be twice as dangerous as before. This story isn’t over, the ending just isn’t quite as neat, tidy, swift and clear as we’d have liked.
I am grateful for this place you provide today more than ever Blink, it’s the small bit of solace I’m finding anywhere today.

Can’t say I blame him & I was expecting something like this..
OMG I am still so sad crying for Caylee
I am stunned, sick and sad.
Futureman, PamVA, Artgal6 & JannyFay, I too am puzzled as to how the jury found her guilty of lying to police, but not guilty of murdering Caylee. I don’t recall at any point in the trial where the EVIDENCE or DOCUMENTS that PROVE that she lied to police were EVER admitted into evidence. I only recall the tape of the police interview with Melich, Allen, etc., interviewing Casey Anthony and only STATING to her that ‘everything she told them was a lie’. What basis are they using in coming to the determination that she lied ‘beyond a reasonable doubt’ for the charges of lying to law enforcement?!?!
My head hurts.
Even if they bought into the ‘drowning theory’, is there no penalty for failing to report your that your child has drowned, or for not seeking immediate medical attention in the hopes of reviving your child? What about improper burial following the ‘drowning’ ?
A unanimous vote of not guilty?!?!….Runaway Jury is right, Blink.
To the Prosecution Powerhouse of Jeff Ashton, Linda Drane Burdick and Frank George…..witnessing the intelligence, passion and professionalism that you possess is simply inspiring. I have nothing but respect and admiration for you.
Oh……and Liam? Just to clarify. I don’t think the defense nor prosecution were trying to ‘prove’ Casey was a Sociopath or Psycopath during the trial. My comments are only in regard to my belief people with these disorders are misunderstood as a whole and directly benefit from that misunderstanding.

@ Sister,
Thank you for that lovely prayer for us all to share. Most of us are so saddened by this injustice for little caylee, and your prayer certainly helps.
I am so speechless not to mention depressed.
Thank you everyone for sharing your thoughts.
We may. For those who have not seen it, I recommend one watches “Runaway Jury”.

Funny, my husband and I spoke of this movie last night. Sadly, I felt this would be the outcome, at least for the murder indictment.
That said, I’m quite surprised @ not guilty for the child abuse charge. I listened carefully to JP’s definition and felt the prosecution easily met the burden of proof with the evidence ICA did nothing to locate Caylee for 31 days.
Blink, HHJP can let ICA out with time served, however, do you believe he’s likely to?
To all the followers of Blink and SM, today I’ve mulled over the
cases of Caylee and HaLeigh. Both have families that lie and cover up
and distract and mess up the investigations: do the words “hogpens”
and red roses in the woods remind you of the stories and distractions.
LE can’t get a straigh story out of anyone. Stories change and all
sorts of people show up and intervene. Any person tells any story
they think they can get away with. Whole families get into the act
and the media pay well, so blame gets passed around (in both families)
and fingers get pointed all over the place to distract. This is just
my observations sitting as I do between Satsuma and Orlando.
Wow, I didn’t see that coming! I think it is very telling that her parents simply left the courtroom. Had it been my daughter standing there they would have had to arrest me to keep from running over and hugging her.
I have been emotionally involved in this case for three years. I have a great-grandchild the same age as Caylee who even looks like her. Tears are coursing down my cheeks as I write this. Casey was PURE EVIL in my opinion and her family makes me vomit with disgust. I am utterly heartsick. Nothing makes sense to me anymore. Sad, sad, sad. Tomorrow comes my anger. (if I let it). Incredible decision…
Just heard one of the alternate jurors talking on HLN.. They didn’t believe George, THAT WAS THEIR REASONING!!!!!! THEY DIDN’T BELIEVE GEORGE!!!
Thank You Sister, wise words, from a sweet soul – trying to hold on still very disappointed today – i will re-read your post and find comfort, Thank you again… HLN just said Jeff Ashton is retiring??? the world is truly upside down today, Blink say it ain’t so…crying again
This is truly a sad day. A lot of tears shed for little Caylee. I’m so disappointed in our judicial system. There is no justice anymore.
As for Casey Anthony, she has to live now with the guilt the rest of her days. I think she is cold and has no conscience, so I don’t look for her to grieve. I believe, though, in what goes around comes around. She will get hers one day.
RIP beautiful little baby girl, Caylee. You are loved so much by so many.
@nana
That is absolutely true.
Just heard JA is retiring.
He was awesome. LDB was awesome. Still in shock…
Scott Peterson is about to start his appeal, and I believe that case has a good chance of being overturned.
I think at least 12 people need to better understand the definition of “reasonable.”
I suppose their children can stand with a hand in the cooie jar, a chocolate-and-crumb-covered face, look them in they eye and deny eating a cookie.

Well said!
DEar Sister…..Thank you for a prayer that fills my heart with peace.
We heard Caylees voice from Linda, Mr. Ashton, and George. The three people on this earth who honor their profession, mankind and loved Caylee as we do.
I felt yesterday this would happen again. Just like OJ.
This jury will live with their decision thats enough for me.
Cindy, Lee, George, Mallory and Casey know what they have done. They have to live with their thoughts and rellive their actions. The money they gain from this will not give them peace. One of their own Caylee is dead. Accident or murder she is dead.
I pray for the people of Orlando
Something is wrong here.. Suprise suprise… What do you mean you don’t know why I’m here…. Don’t worry I didn’t say anything….. Cindy says We forgive you for anything you said.
I saw a hawk today while driving to Chicago.
I totally and completely respect everybody`s opinion on this and even though I am in the minority here, I still stand over my opinion.
You are all good people and peace and love to each and every one of you.
@Nana2
I`ll be honest, I didnt follow Scott Peterson`s trial from day 1 so I can`t give an honest opinion on why the different outcome…
Ragdoll of course Caylee Anthony was endearing, it`s an awful tragedy. Mr Baez hit the nail on the head when he said not to judge based on emotion but purely on the facts. Jose Baez is endearing and I think it won`t be the last time we`ll hear from him in a high profile case.
Blink I understand you are distraught at this verdict and maybe rightly so, I just try and call things as I see them and try to be objective. You make sacrifices and give your valuable time to give a voice to victims and missing people and no words in the English language can praise you enough for what you do, you`re my hero!

Juror #14 (alternate) has spoken.
The State did not prove their case.
Thought George was hiding something.
Thought Casey was a good mother.
No motive was shown.
Me thinks Judge Perry gave the Jury too too many Smoking Breaks….
If they didn’t believe George, then they could have struck his testimony all together. How can they confidently reach a not guilty without considering everything else that was offered to them?
That does not make any sense, if that is the case.
i feel like today 12 people adamantly told me that the sky wasn’t blue when i can clearly see with my own eyes it is …
Thank you, Jury. You have just given the seal of approval for all neglectful and abusive parents to just hide their children. As long as enough time passes to conceal evidence, you too can get away with murder.
Devastated, and left with grief and rage not knowing how or where to place any of it. I feared this outcome. The vile lying Anthony family has brought so much chaos and confusion into our society and lives, and the media has played it, fed it, made money on it nonstop for a minimum of a month plus, injected so much infection and poison, that they won. I truly think this amount of evil shuts people and ‘right’ thinking off or down, it overwhelms, confuses. Cindy lied on the stand to save her ‘precious’ daughter, her lies worked. She, and certain Anthony others made a mockery of truth and justice, rubbed it in our faces and w/out consequences. Guess she wants her ‘precious’ daughter home, hope she gets ‘it’ Thursday night too. I could give a flying F*** what happens to any of them. As above posters have said: I’m for a total Anthony/media boycott/blackout. They don’t deserve anything except to live with their lies and personal hell THEY themselves-all of them-created. I am mad at myself for going down their rabbit hole and caring so much, for thinking my idea (and most everyone here) of justice could or would overcome, be comprehended. As another said above: time to turn off the TV and pick up a book and feed my soul-not pollute it anymore with the crud of the Anthonys. Detox time.
This world feels more broken, ignorant and flawed than anything my own imagination could conceive of. My only consolation is that the beautiful child that Caylee continues to be, rests in more peace than my imagination also can conceive of. Vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord.
A prediction– there will be a grand ceremony of Caylee’s life, televised, crab puffs all around, in a new and revised memorial to showcase C-M-A.
Casey’s hair will be cut and styled, or short short and colorued, the moment she’s released, she will be given the world by the media in hopes of a story– all but ABC and the Ritz, of course.
I am absolutely sick about Jeff Ashton retiring. The prosecution was brilliant, but the jury turned a blind eye to the evidence. I will not buy a book, watch an interview, watch a movie, etc that would help the Anthony family, the jurors, or the defense team profit. I hope Jeff Ashton will write a book because his (or LDB & FG) would be the only I would buy.
“There are none so blind as those who will not see.” The jurors in this case fit right into this quote.
The Anthony Family wants to put their lives back together. Well, you better hurry up, cause Casey is going to come after you. Just give her some time to get a makeover, make a little money doing the media circus er circuit but keep watching your mailbox for a lawsuit near you.
Casey Anthony is or was Caylee Anthony’s mother, and SHE HAS RIGHTS.
This ain’t over….cant wait….
Did an alternate juror really go to the media and say “they” didn’t believe George or anything else for that matter? As I understand it, an alternate juror would have no idea how “they” felt as he/she was not part of deliberations and the jury has been reminded a zillion times not to discuss the case?!? What the heck. Hopefully, this isn’t true. I have not seen the interview.
I guess Casey’s new tattoo will say “I got away with it”

Not that I followed this case at all but prosecutors retiring after these types of high publicity cases is a problem. They can get caught up in thinking about the future book deal and focusing more on the theatre of the case and making themselves look good on TV than in winning the actual case — and a death penalty case is justifiably hard to win. The jury, who is being asked to spend their time listening to all this can sense that and can resent it (a lot). When I would glance at the headlines of blink’s articles on the way to the morgan board and saw mentions of the prosecutor smirking at the stupidity of the defense arguments, I had a feeling this case was not going the way most TV watchers thought. A prosecutor should never ever act like that in a serious case — at least not if he wants the jury to think it is a serious case. You should never risk the jury thinking you are wasting their time if you want them to accept your case.
The folks on this board probably know far more about the case than the jury was given. That can make it hard to understand a verdict like this, which was supposed to based strictly on what was presented to them in court and came with a presumption of innocence.
Hopefully, these jurors, now KNOWING about Caylee Marie Anthony, will go back and read Blinks blogs and any other evidence that was written on the web. Then take a quick minute to reflect, “what the heck did I do”

jUROR #14 TALKING ON HEADLINE NEWS NOW.

Yes & that juror made no sense he kept contradicting himself with every word he said.. Once more I’m ashamed of this state..
Hello Blink~
I am aware that our laws protect against double jeopardy, so Casey cannot be charged of something she has been tried and acquitted of. I am wondering whether they might still be able to charge her with mishandling a corpse and further obstruction of justice charges. I do not understand how she was able to beat a child abuse/neglect charge, since she admitted that Caylee was in her care when she “drowned”.
I just had a disturbing thought. Were there alarms/sensors on the patio doors? Locks on the gates? A fence around the pool? If not, Casey could actually sue her parents for liability, if she could prove that Caylee drowned, or if a civil jury believed she drowned. I wouldn’t put it past her, or her counsel.
I have been following this case closely here, at HM, as well as the mainstrem press, since ’08. The prosecution surely proved that Casey is a liar and thief. They proved that a body had been in the trunk. As for the chloroform searches, they would have been more damning if Caylee’s COD was known to be consistent with chloroform, or with being anesthetized. I believe that she is responsible for Caylee’s death. While I was aware that she might beat a M1 charge (since it was a circumstantial case, no COD, etc…), I fully expected a conviction on the lesser charges of child abuse and lying to police.
Thanks to Blink & all of the posters here for advocating for Caylee. I do not believe it was in vain. Though the outcome of the verdict is not what was expected or desired, there will eventually be justice.
The state cannot appeal this, it’s a done deal, they don’t get a second bite at the apple.

WTH!!!!! Obviously they drank the Baez koolaid. I cannot fathom this…..
OJ is still OJ.
Casey is still Casey and this jury just confirmed her. There will be more distruction done by Ms Casey Anthony.
This is just pathetic.
I cannot accept that 12 people reached a verdict of not guilty after ten hours of deliberation. And was there even ten hours? It sounds like they had their minds made up before they even began. They did not ask to look at even one piece of evidence. I actually heard they did not take even one of their notebooks into the deliberation room.
And based on alternate jury statement that “they all believed” sounds like jury misconduct. Since he was not part of the deliberation how does he know what they all believed. I am positive we do not know the whole story here. Yet.
Blink – I’m sorry. I meant to post on this thread. You can ignore the other one.
@Lizzy – I’ve been saying the same for the last couple of days. In the event of acquittal, divorce is just around the corner.
@Solange – I’ve been very busy the last couple of days and have not had an opportunity to respond to your very emotional response on the other post. I apologize for that. I feel for your family’s personal struggles and deeply thank you for your kind words. It’s a subject I could dwell on at length as I know you well understand. We grow up. We survive. We move on in spite of life’s unwanted challenges and we always have to do better.
I am so desperately sad. Today was a severe letdown in the path of justice for Caylee. I’m heartbroken and have been attempting to keep the tears at bay all afternoon. I run a youth sports program which begins introductory instruction for boys and girls starting at the age of 3. The 3 and 4 year old program is my favorite. It’s like herding cats sometimes but it always a great video source. It’s non-competitive and so much fun to administer, parent, coach and watch. I can’t help but have images in my mind of the comparison of the parents in our program who are so protective of the little ones to make sure that not even their feelings are hurt, much less the unimaginable destruction of this sweet little girl. We PROTECT our children. We don’t destroy them. It is so hard to comprehend letting her get away with murder. Little Caylee should have been getting ready to play softball or soccer or learning dance or gymnastics. No matter what, she should have been loved and protected by someone, anyone, in her family.
Today was also a letdown to Casey and the society that has the misfortune to interact with her in the future. For someone like her, she will be over this in short order with the false impression that she is invincible. Until she gets some real, hard, psychological help, she will continue to believe that she can literally get away with murder.
JA and LDB make me want to be a prosecutor. I just heard this was JA’s last trial and that he is retiring. You done good in spite of the result.
Blink – Thank You for providing us this opportunity. Words fail me to even say what for.
Thank God that He is the head coach of Team Caylee. In this case, He is the Judge, Jury and Prosecution.
AMOO….gotta go cry now. Can’t hold back any longer.
UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please, Please Blink spill the beans on all that you know. I feel so dazed right now with what happened and I want to keep the belief that she is guilty in my mind, even though the jurors believe that Casey was in a different country when Caylee was murdered!!!! Please let us know what is out there!!! THANKS
The jury may want to remain out of the public eye and nameless. I would be terrified if I were one of them. I am sure their families are seeing how pissed the public is.
You know I can’t post that.
B
The jury may want to remain nameless and out of the public eye. Their families have to be seeing how pissed the public is.
Jeff Ashton, our soceity needs you.
