    Blink,
YES it is for my friends to read and you of course as if you finish reading it closely you will see that the child was loved by me his mother and by GOD answwered prayers. He is my oldest son and is a Firefighter in the Air Force….. I wanted to share a REAL STORY of a real accident and I was a 19 year old mommy with a VERY disfunctional family.
I bite my tongue everytime I heard that this was an accidental drowning but know that it is possible as it did happen to me, but by doing something instead of nothing, my son is alive today and it is a miracle but true.

I posted it NancyS, heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.

I see ya’all’s point about boycotting any and everything Casey related but I have an alternate theory. I want her life to be a living He**. So, where I won’t buy any books written by her, her family or her defense team, I want the press to hound the crap out of her. I don’t want her to not have a moments peace in her lifetime for the terrible crime for which she so clearly gotten away with. If it takes sucking it up and clicking on articles or watching tv shows about her, (except ones that she will clearly profit from ie: her interview for a million bucks) I will do it. I want her to suffer for the rest of her natural life as I know she will suffer in the life to come. Maybe I’m wrong and if I am help set me straight, I know you will. I absolutely loathe that woman and her family who helped cover and obstruct justice so she could live the “Bella Vita”. They should all be hounded and made miserable every day of their lives.

    JannyFay …

Casey loves attention … even media attention. She is a narcissistic sociopath and craves the limelight. Remember the old line, “negative attention is better than no attention?” NO attention will flat out kill someone like Casey. But attention on any level, just fuels her farther so if you really want her to suffer, take up Jeff Ashton’s request and “just completely ignore her”. That more than anything else will make Casey Anthony (and her family) wither away like dust in a windstorm. IGNORE, IGNORE, IGNORE.

I now have visions of the Wicked Witch of the West melting away after water was thrown on her, LOL.

Wicked Witch of the West: “You cursed brat! Look what you’ve done! I’m melting! melting! Oh, what a world! What a world! Who would have thought a good little girl like you could destroy my beautiful wickedness? Oooooh, look out! I’m going! Oooooh! Ooooooh!”

The countdown is on for Casey Anthony to respond to more than a dozen questions from Texas EquuSearch as part of the rescue group’s lawsuit against her.

This is ignorance on my part, but would it have been improper for JP to chat with the jurors after the verdict? I am curious if he does any further inquiry on how they deliberated and how they formed their opinions.
I would like to think he was flabbergasted at the verdict, but I don’t know what I think of him now. Is there any precedence set on how long the cooling off period would last on the name holding?
I see where juror #3 has made some claims about being kicked out of her boyfriends house. Some believe that to be a mistruth, ie she has no boyfriend. I agree with those that suspect mr foreman was the speaker for the group on Greta. But lookey there JF beat feet and beat him to it. More than once at that. Me thinks she kinda likes the attention. I want to quietly sleuth them and see what makes them who they are and maybe shed some light into their cranial cavities.

I listened to BOC with Dana Perez and agree that a guardian ad litem would have been invaluable in this case. Most people are familiar with the role of a guardian ad litem, but I would like to share a bit more information.

Simply put, Guardian ad litem’s speak on behalf of minor’s who are involved in legal matters. Most frequently, they are appointed in custody cases and cases where the minor has been removed from the home. The GA will interview and investigate all parties involved and give the judge their opinion as to what the best interest of the minor is and protect their rights. Example; a mother allegedly abuses her children, they are put in foster care, the GA will interview parents, grandparents, caregivers and read all related discovery. At court, the GA will give the judge their opinion as to what is best for the minor, such as continued foster care or re-integration back into the home. This is invaluable because the GA isn’t on anyone’s side except the minor. Usually the parents are represented by attorney’s, and this gives the minor a voice. The judge gives great weight to the GA’s recommendation. The GA can be involved in a case from a mere week to years as a case unfolds.

The reason I go into this is because we are all looking for ways to turn this horrific verdict into some sort of positive action. Many don’t know that there is a program named CASA (court appointed special advocate) that is in essence a volunteer guardian ad litem. I did this for many years and it was very rewarding. For those interested, contact your local court and they will advise you if they have the program and where you can sign up and take the 2 day course to become qualified in this capacity. When you have completed the course, you are sworn in as an officer of the court and usually will be given a case right away as the courts are full of kids in need. Most states now have CASA’S.

I know we are all devastated with this unjust, unlawful verdict. If we can find ways to help others, it might help the soul heal.

I believe we all must stick together and boycott any release by Casey, her defense team and the Anthony’s. They are all about blood money and I can’t support that. I have turned off my DVR as I feel Nancy Grace has now succumbed to the Anthony’s deep pockets. They are showing new photo’s of Caylee and had new video of her 2nd birthday when the trial started. It’s no secret that Cindy hates Nancy Grace, but now all of a sudden, her attorney is on the show almost daily. They must have needed some “licensing” money to pay for their new red jeep and all the new clothes that Cindy constantly sports. Must be nice living off of social security due to mental stress. They are all pond scum to me.

    Wendy-

Thank you so very much for posting this. The GAL issue is crucial to Caylee’s Law for me, and it is going to be an uphill battle I am told. Your words are inspiring and when we launch http://www.cayleeslaw.com, I may ask you to say them again to inspire others.

Not being able to appoint a GAL for Caylee was my inspiration for owning the domain 3 years ago in the first place- who knew it would come to this?

If they are soliciting public funds without a license they can expect to be shut down right quick.

Haha – its true though! Its as though they were brainwashed. That was the whole other thing that baffled me when the verdict came in. How could 12 random people ALL concur on one thing in that little amount of time (except a guilty verdict) with such a “guilty-seeming” defendant? I really wish ALL of them would come out and explain it to us.

Longtime Lurker: Thank-you for sharing your experience as a juror, it was very enlightening to someone who has never served. Interesting to know such decisions combine so many unrelated factors. Perhaps scary is a better word.

Sharai: Tip of the hat to you for your summation of the jury and such eloquent prose. I enjoyed reading it:

    Sharai says:

Serving on a jury requires strength of character, integrity, and humility, as well as respect for and adherence to the process. Lackadaisical or careless procedural implementation hinders the judicial process perverting the outcome. I respect the criminal justice system and the trial by jury process. However, I do not respect the visible unwillingness of the jurors to seek clarification of instructions, their inclusion of emotional reasoning, their apparent negligible examination of evidence, their obvious nominal deliberation time, and their subsequent not guilty verdict.

I find the emphasis on respect/disrespect ironic. The defense team, in my opinion, won this case by dishonoring the basic principles of the criminal justice system. Jose Baez’s presentation within the courtroom (as well as his interactions within the media) did not promote the discovery of truth, the administration of justice, or the protection of society. He did not prove to me that he is a great lawyer, quite the contrary. He proved to me that he is/was good at playing to an audience. He is/was the quintessential traveling elixir/snake oil salesman hawking his wares to any who are foolish enough to listen.

I think the jurors were unwilling, too lazy, and/or incapable of utilizing the cognitive energy necessary to deliberate a verdict. I believe they allowed themselves to be overly influenced by the defense team’s peripheral persuasion, a combination of well-chosen nuances, simple verbiage, and considerable emotional gibberish. Reading the lengthy instructions, asking for clarification, intelligently discussing, and/or debating the validity of evidence are demanding. However, that is exactly what was required.

I believe the juror’s emotional responses influenced their illogical complacency rendering them incapable of asking rational questions, considering realistic scenarios, and/or constructing reasonable inferences. Their verdict spoke more about their state of minds, their character, and their deficits than it did about the quality or quantity of the evidence presented during the trial.

    Shalom.

The leading headline on the local and state news page of this morning’s newspaper states that our state representative will introduce a “Caylee” bill in the Pennsylvania state House. He has received up to 100 e-mails a day on the issue, all from our county. A state senator has announced a companion bill. The bills made it a felony to conceal a child’s death and a first-degree misdemeanor to not report a missing child within 24 hours.

The article notes that current law already makes it a first-degree misdemeanor to conceal a stillbirth. It ends with the rep. saying “They don’t want a case like what happened in Florida to happen in Pennsylvania.”

WESH’s article seemed to not name the lawyer who represented client selling FCA’s whereabouts to ‘hightest bidder’, but in the article, the name ‘Weaver’ was mentioned, easy to check Florida/Orlando/female lawyers with that name.

It’s just a guess, but what’s the chances a woman lawyer named Weaver would be in the ‘Media and Entertainment’ business and be the one contacted by this blood-money-wishing client? (article quote below).

    Nicole Weaver, ESQ, —–> http://www.legalweaver.com/home.html

“WESH does not pay for information or interviews.

After a call from WESH 2 News, Weaver said that she was withdrawing the offer and said she will no longer represent her client.

@NancyS–My eyes flooded when I read your account of your son drowning. I’m so thankful that you had the outcome that you did. I was a 9-1-1 operator for many years and also an EMT and volunteer firefighter, my husband is a captain at a fire department (nearly 30 years). Needless to say, we have experienced many tragedies over the years but have NEVER known of a person to hide a drowning or make it LOOK like a MURDER. I can tell you that people do have different reactions and exhibit different emotions while enduring an emergency, but we’ve never seen ONE person go out and party for 31 days until their mother calls 9-1-1.

As to the pool at the Anthony’s, you are so correct (I would say, “dead on”, but that sounds horrible). They knew what had occurred the minute they smelled FCA’s car. After that, it was all cover up and protect the murderer. If they truly believed that Caylee drowned in that pool, they would have destroyed it immediately.

Thank you for sharing such an intimate time of your life and may God continue to bless you and yours.

In my opinion, I don’t think we should tune into anymore hype. I think FCA will always have people heckling her where ever she goes. She will never have a true friend because NORMAL people will not associate with the likes of her. The more we watch TV and click on on-line stories, the more her possibilities of making blood money go up. It will bother her greatly that nobody cares about her. I’ll be happy to be rid of her. I don’t give a rats a** about where she is, I know where she’s going when her life here on earth is over.

  19. wendy says:

    @ Eloise

Yes, it would be improper for JP to speak with the jurist regarding their verdict. His role must remain official and impartial.

As to a “cooling off” precedence, there is case law that supports 7-10 days (I believe it was). And yes, jurist Ford seems to like the lime light. I’m sure she also enjoys the perks she is getting. It is public knowledge that she and her entire family, including nephews and nieces, were all treated to Disney World. She has been flown all over the US for interviews, and continues to line her pockets with blood money weather by cold, hard cash or other “licensing” incentives. I would bet that her boyfriend will be talking and making money soon enough. We will all hear the sordid details of Ms. Ford (unless the x boyfriend actually has some scruples-which seems to be entirely lacking in this case).

Not to mention that 2 of the jurists had voted for FIRST DEGREE murder. How does one go from believing that FCA premeditated the murder of Caylee to innocent? Somebody bamboozled the jurists who had it right (6 of them) and I firmly believe that the foreperson, who understood the law INCORRECTLY, was a catalyst.

  21. wendy says:

    Blink,

As to the Guardian Ad Litem and CASA program, maybe the next time you are on the Perez show you could mention the volunteer aspect. It would spread the word much more widely and it could benefit hundreds of children who need a voice. This is perfect timing since people are searching for a way to help their souls mend. I know when I volunteered that the CASA program was in the majority of states and was growing.

Thanks for being the voice that so many need. I didn’t realize when and why you started this site, I just stumbled across it early on in the case and never left. Other than a post or two along the way, I was simply lurking. This is by far the best site. I love that you speak for many and cry for all. This group of people are a class act!

To all of you that read my story of my son drowning. Thank you so much for the kind words, it still feels like yesterday and my son is 31 years old now. Praise God!
I just had to get it out to you all that have so many questions on how this family could have covered up an accident like this?
My answer is YOU CAN’T EVEN JUSTIFY lying about it as Casey did.
    HOW DARE HER!!!!!!
If you all could feel the feeling during and after that time in my life, you would know in your complete being that this “mommy of the year” definately killed her child.
THis girl needs to be in an institution,PRISON! Didn’t Amy say that C took money from her house and told Amy that she must have done it in her sleep? These kids WERE messing with Chlorform and that baby must have gotten ahold of it. Or she downright killed that child in a brutal way. Caylee knew her killer…
I needed to share that to let myself heal from this travesty of justice, I just wish the jurors could read my posts…. I really really do as then maybe they would lose some sleep as we all have and choke on their blood money….
I have not watched anythng on TV in the last week that mentions this case as I REALLY want Caylee to be able to rest in peace and I wish we could force this family to make a memorial at a beautiful cemetary for Caylee to rest in peace and I have too wondered, why in the hell didnt this baby have a guardian ad litem. this family makes me sick. where is Lee livng now? maybe they will find Casey there?
