Kyron Horman Disappearance: Exclusive Three Part Series Debuts On Blink On Crime

Kyron Horman would be 10 years old this Sunday.  Maybe he will be.  According to his Father Intel engineer Kaine Horman, his only son is alive and well at an unknown location “secreted” away by an unknown person with an unknown connection to his estranged wife Terri Horman.

Kyron Horman’s biological Mother, Desiree Young, or Momma as he called her,  believes  Kyron is either alive or deceased- both locations known to Terri Horman and possibly others.

Kyron’s case has once again been featured on Jane Velez Mitchell and is scheduled to be featured on Americas Most Wanted  .

Reader interest in what I have affectionately dubbed our “red eyed tree frog dude”  has produced well over 20,000 comments on this site alone.

In our upcoming report series,  Blink On Crime, in conjunction with contributing BOC legal analyst Washington Attorney Lea Conner  intends to review both  current information in detail as well as exclusive new information developed by  Editor In Chief and Chief criminal analyst, S. Christina Stoy.

Part I:  Desiree Young V Terri Horman Case : The Little Engine That Could, Or Could Not?

Part II:  Sovereignty Is A Myth: Revelations About The Morning Kyron Disappeared

Part III:  The Big Muscle Theory- Does It Have Weight?

Part I publishes Tuesday  September 11.

    @Red Rose-
I could not agree more and have pondered the same. Surely there were a lot of photos and videos from that day. If SZ isn’t in any of them, then I would think he intentionally avoided being captured on film
It seems that would limit the areas he was skulking around in.
OTOH, maybe LE does have his image but he is completely unknown. If that is the case, then LE has failed epically by not releasing a picture or sketch/description.
As usual, more questions than answers.

Nope, RedRose, that comment was from a different event at the school. Look at the date. It was from something like a Pioneer Days, IIRC, we’ve actually seen a bit of that video, it’s the one where Kyron is whistling in the group of kids on stage. However, that doesn’t mean there isn’t also a video of the SciFare as well, but that’s not what’s being discussed there in that comment.

You made me think of something interesting though, she posts no pictures other than one of Kyron in the white shirt (at what I believe is their home) of that day on her FB. Where are all the other pictures she took that day and did she hand them over to Ben Keefer. Kristina Porter also posted (for one day, on his birthday last year IIRC) on her FB a picture of Kyron in that same shirt, but a different picture than Terri’s. I’d like to know who those pictures went to and what they did with them.

At the risk of being unpopular, I am going to mention some things. I, like Blink feel that everyone and everything should stand scrutiny in the interest of finding Kyron.

What if KH knew about the MFH much earlier on. Say, Christmas 2009 when the 911 call came in.
Would a man that feared this also fear for his only son’s life? Would that give him rationalization/cause to possibly secret Kyron away somewhere, as he states is his own belief about Kyron now? What if he did and then set it up to appear that his wife TH did this so that she would be assured of nothing in a divorce settlement.

Control the media, his company, DY and her comments, press conferences.
File for divorce almost instantly, remove child from her grasp.
Sexting with Michael Cook. GPS stolen on the street of his own gym owner. Ping, ping, ping.
Highly technical skills. Would blend in at the SF and could have led Kyron out any door at any time to anywhere.
Strange that KH arrived home at 1:00pm that day yet did not attend the talent show or SF.

KH himself stated that he believes Kyron is alive but that this could take years… a marathon not a sprint.
“PORTLAND — The father of Kyron Horman warns the case for his missing young son may drag on for two, three or even four years. And even then, the investigation into what happened to the missing boy may not be resolved. During a two-hour interview with KGW, Kaine Horman provided insight into the nearly year-long investigation. If there is no major break in the case, this will be a marathon, not a sprint, according to Kaine Horman.”
    http://www.chathousenews.com/2011/05/kaine-horman-still-waiting-for-break-in.html

The tee-shirts and wall of hope threw me so early on. They seemed contrived. Really? Your child is on the streets somewhere without his glasses and it’s dark at night.

What if, just what if KH and TY conspired this together? Now, that would be something.
Watch the first PC again. At :29-:41, and again from 3:58 – 4:08, I think TY and KH have identical mannerisms, for whatever that is worth.

Blink did state that she believes this crime was “sexually motivated”. If that is true, then the above theory most likely falls.

For some reason I was thinking about Houze’s “witch hunt” comment this morning. Since he’s such a prominent attorney, and apparently, at least until court is in session, a man of few words, I was wondering if he’d ever used that term in any other case of his. If so, I can’t find it googling around. July 15, 2010:

Lawyers for both parties arrived at the Multnomah County Courthouse Thursday to argue before the judge as to when Terri Horman should leave the family’s home. Kaine arrived with his lawyer, Laura Rackner. Terri, however, did not accompany her lawyer, Stephen Houze.

Houze called the investigation a witch hunt and that the media frenzy has created death threats against his client. He told the judge Terri is having a hard time finding a place to live and needs time to pack, at least until Monday afternoon.

    http://www.katu.com/news/98542824.html

At this point, Terri’s name and face had been spread around by LE on several different flyers, Terri had already undergone multiple hours of long interviews with LE, and in addition been told by LE that she failed two LDTs, LE’s sting on the MFH had failed. Am I the only one who wonders why LE, if they felt Terri still had a missing piece of this puzzle, was never ever interviewed again through her lawyer?

Why does Houze believe this is witch hunt? Does he still? In the case of a missing little boy, what could you offer an attorney that convinces him that the investigation into your activities is a witch hunt, OR did Houze already know that before he took her case. This man has been up against these players before, my guess is he knows their ways, patterns or MO.

Hmmm, also, I wonder why Kaine Horman wanted back in the house so abruptly, the article says they had agreed to wait until the next court hearing, some six days later.

I’m betting the Soverignty thing is illegal immigrants employed
by arms of the public sector (say landscapers hired by pta subgroups,
or sports coaches) on school premises while school is in session.

But, since a goal here is to get a fresh LE team on this case, I’m here to
lobby for the PPB cold case team. After all, Underhill got an award with that
team for cold case work the same year Det O’Donnell’s team got one for
child abuse work while delegated to PPB. They should all be friends.

20/20 hindsight: PPB’s PPS School liason officer had jurisdiction on PPS
grounds. If there was a crime, PPB had jurisdiction working with the assigned school
officer. MCSO had no jurisdiction over school sited crimes.

Practically speaking, once the Pta head, Zimmerman, who knew Kyron, and other adults
said he was present in the school after 830, and Terri stated she left him in the hall going to class
when the bell rang to walk to his room, absent any reason at that moment in time to think a
parent had absconded with him (and they were all present for goodness sakes), with a child that age
the school should have been processed as a probable crime scene, the site of an abduction,
    cordoned off, interviews conducted elsewhere.
The case would have been PPB’s from the git go.
Why did this not happen? Imo Desiree & Tony came in blaming Terri immediately.
The lens was a “family thing.” Additionally PPB was in a severe budget crunch and had just reduced from
5 precincts to 3 to cut overhead & expenses.

The school was not declared a crime scene imo not to protect the political interests of PPS nor the tender sensibilities & fear of the Skyline School. It was simply the only way to give & keep jurisdiction with mcso rather than pbb.

The Skyline community might question why an abduction, perpetrated by anyone, on school premises was not promptly declared a crime by LE, why the school has not been called a crime scene, and why the heck PPB is not doing the job their regs (to solve crimes on school property) calls for. Taxes going to PPB budget should benefit the Skyline community.

jden, I admire your ability to be open-minded and consider Kaine Horman the way we do any suspect. Good job on that. He’s an odd duck, but I don’t think he’s our SZ, jmo.

malty, so glad to see you posting as I love your haiku (i had to look up that spelling). You put an amazing amount of feeling in a small space.

Sherlock, I agree with you that it is so perplexing how children can be taken away from us so quickly, without much of a trace. In many cases, the parents’ behavior can be suspect–or we try to make it be so–and yet, the children are gone, gone, and gone.

I do believe most parents are raising their children to be honest and accountable. In a litigious society, however, most would try to keep their child from under the wheels of justice. (I don’t promote that idea.) Therefore, they would keep themselves from under the same wheels.

Plea bargains help bring out the truth while minimizing the consequences to the defendant. And before we get high horsey (word?) I venture that none of us would be posting here if we were held accountable for every bad act we’ve done.

Blink, we West Coasters are waiting for our early advantage, but since I’ve bumped into you many a night, sometimes behind the curtain, I think I’ll have nap while you wrap the rest of our presents. hee.

So, maybe not a parent with 2 girls but a SZ pretending

no parents attending. LE could catch that by walking all girls thru which
adult they were with moment to moment & if teacher assigned that adult. On re-reading

  26. RedRose says:

First of all, Thanks Word Girl for saving me the trouble of googling “ham butt”. I knew it was somewhere on the pig and liked the metaphor -what’s seen is not seen, or whatever.

Secondly, the other day – a couple of things.
First, I wrote in my mind a whole episode of CSI that went something like this.
KH and TMH were threatened by something, maybe involved in something illegal like super-duper marijuana crops or steroid distribution (hence the guilt and gym trip when they should have been looking for Kyron themselves)and when they knew they were caught and Kyron was taken, they decided to cooperate with FBI, LE, Illegals Catchers, etc., for a SUPER STING – which is still going on for whatever reason.
In this story, TMH had to agree to the sexting so she would get a really bad name and draw attention to herself. And she had to agree to let Kaine keep the baby to make her look extra bad. But all along (in this story) KH has kept in touch with her, also with LE, and LE is working really hard to break up all of the following rings:
    1. Steroid peddling
    2. Illegals
    3. Porno rings
    4. I-5 corridor other drug transporting.
And in this episode of CSI, L.J.Storm and DAD are couriers for the Bad Guys, but LE can’t squeeze them hard enough to find out anything.

And lastly, we did take that drive over the top of Skyline recently – and it is just the saddest thing ever to see SO many trees, deep ravines, hidey-places all along Cornelius Pass Road. –and I’m sure any other road in those hills. I get very sad whenever I look that way and realize a little boy might or might not be there somewhere and if he is there, he might never be found.
But in my story, Kyron is safe somewhere – transported somewhere so that Mom and Dad can keep in touch with him until the drug and sex rings are broken.

It would definitly explain the nonchalent attitude of KH and TMH after Kyron was gone. Realistically, I suppose Blink’s scenario is the correct one – that a SZ took him, but I’m hoping Kyron will be found and safe. He seems like a sweet little boy.

Sorry to take up so much space. I was just musing.

Not surprised Terri hired another attorney for the civil case. I notice a lot of the comments after the article (which I have only seen on kgw and msn so far) are asking where she is getting the money for yet another attorney, plus it is clear all 3 are working together which means they can each bill her.

Maybe Terri’s parents could have saved some money if they had hired their own private investigator in the beginning – assuming she told them she was not involved.

@Rose – I would like to hear the answer to your question also -
“My question for Lea is, in depositions, can Kaine cite hearsay? (LE told me….)” It seems to me if you have used those statements in court documents, they should be able to ask you about them even though it was a different case. On the other hand, perhaps the judge can listen to the questions first and determine whether the testimony should be allowed and whether it would be harmful to the case or anyone associated with it. I have a feeling a lot of papers will be written by law school students on this case as the years go by.
