Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

The girls weren’t hurt and were safely returned to their families.
But the father told Fox 12 he believes the school should have done more to make sure everyone was accounted for.
“When I talked to the principal, they said they make sure everybody’s back in the school how they’re supposed to be,” he said. “But this time, they just didn’t count their ducks.”
Fox 12 reached out to the school district and Canby police to learn more about the situation and policies in place for this type of situation, but haven’t yet heard back.

A 60-year-old registered sex offender is accused of paying two brothers and two other boys to strip naked so he could photograph them and sexually abuse them.
Anthony Joseph Ostrowski was arraigned in Multnomah County Circuit Court Thursday afternoon, accused of first-degree sodomy, second-degree sexual penetration, and four counts of using a child in the display of sexually explicit conduct.

Portland police obtained a warrant and searched Ostrowski’s trailer in the 5300 block of S.E. Lexington St. on Wednesday. They recovered a digital memory card and a purple dildo, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Ostrowski has five prior felony convictions involving prior crimes with children, including three counts of first-degree sex abuse , first-degree sodomy and display of a child in sexual conduct. He last registered as a sex offender with the state in 2014.

A Portland man accused of seeking a “young boy” on the casual encounters section of Craigslist was arrested after meeting a police officer he thought was a 15-year-old responding to the online ad.
Douglas S. Jodoin, 48, told officers when he was arrested on April 9 that he was looking for sex, but thought the person he had exchanged 45 emails with was pretending to be underage, according to a probable cause affidavit. The officer Jodoin met with claimed in their messages that he was a high school student whose parents won’t let him drive until he turns 16.

Troy Michael Cawvey, 26, and Amber Elizabeth Whitford, 27, hired the girl at least 10 times from July to September 2014 at the Northeast 183rd Avenue home that the couple shared. At the time, Whitford’s two boys were ages 5 and 7 and Cawvey had a 5-year-old child who didn’t regularly live with him, according to authorities.
The baby sitter told police that she often spent the night when she baby-sat, and the various sexual encounters always occurred with both Cawvey and Whitford present, authorities said.

A Reynolds High School teacher who lost his teaching certificate and was suspended for a year after admitting to sending thousands of inappropriate texts to girls at the school, is being forced out of the Oregon Air National Guard for drunken driving and lying.
Nick Choy, an Oregon National Guard spokesman, said Capt. Justin Prunk, 33, was questioned by military officials after his DUII arrest last December by the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office. Choy said another factor leading to his dismissal from the military was because Prunk told school officials that he had not sent the texts.

gee, i was wondering if mcNeil Island correctional facility is still open in washington state and why oregon doesnt have one…this is so evil to just keep putting them back on the streets. So, nearly five years later (wow, and you folks here have put up with my spilt al dente pasta for 4.5 of them!), what do we have?
1. Kyron was taken by a man who knew him, somehow via social connections to his family or friends or community neighors, and whoooosh….pedophile with social contacts in area, but not a great “friend” of anyone in the family or community?
2. LE absolutely refuses to back off their belief that TMH had something to do with this? They know that TMH herself did not take Kryon from the school building, but they are convinced (why??) that TMH is behind this abduction?
3. And, until LE considers that the TMH “link” simply does not exist with this guy, SZ, they will not solve this case and thus will not find Kyron?
Ugh.
All I can do lately is repeat myself.
Nelmel- I can’t say with certainty that SZ knew Kyron or whether Ky knew or recognized him- and the only other thing I would add is that it may or may not be relevant that a boy that could pass as Kyron’s double to include the exact same glasses was in the same room at the time of the SZ/Matthews/Kyron exchange.

If that is the case, then again, there is an SZ connection to that particular school. It seems LE has already exhausted their efforts to connect SZ to TMH, so are they trying to connect SZ to the school as well?
Monumental task, but IMHO someone cannot be that familiar with that school and not be familiar to at least someone who was there that day, unless it was someone who hadn’t been in that school in a very long time, and none of the neighbors or staff recognized him? So who would be familiar with that school, yet remain unknown by the 300 plus people there that day?

Thanks for the info. How long has it been known that the other boy was in the room? And is there a backstory on him and his family? Any custody brawls?
To my knowledge from the first interviews with at least the adults in the room. I have no reason to believe LE made as “big a deal” of it as I have- and it may be irrelevant as to victim if it was random of course, but my protocols tell me it could have altered witness accounts ( ie: I am positive I saw that child ( if Id’s via picture) at the talent show which we know Kyron was not in attendance. I don’t know if it can be excluded as relevant or not- Hell, I am not at all sure LE even knows it but I presume they do based on other witness information. No backstory and no association with the Hormans.

Only two days after your son goes missing, you take it upon yourself to compose an inter-office email to your colleagues and inform *them* that you contacted INTEL Legal Department about…….????? what exactly???
Is it possible that KH was trying to get a message to someone within the INTEL framework that said something like…..*don’t even bother going there, I’m already ahead of that game*? I don’t know, but I still think that KH NEVER intended that email to surface publicly. I would love to know just who made it available to John Q.P. JEFFERSON COUNTY – Two students from Pleasant View Elementary School were found on the side of the road near U.S. Highway 6 and West Colfax Avenue Tuesday.
School officials say the students were on recess and decided to leave campus. They were found roughly 15 minutes after school staff noticed the boys were missing. They were taken back to the Golden school a short time later, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.
“This shouldn’t have happened,” McDonald said. “Security processes were not in place, so we didn’t count the number of students walking in the building compared to the students we had outside.”
McDonald says teacher and staff will be retrained in security protocols following this incident.
The students told law enforcement officials they decided to run away, because they got in trouble at school. Their parents were notified by the school and a meeting was held to explain what happened.
The incident is under investigation. At this point, school officials did not say if staff members will face disciplinary consequences as a result of the oversight.

All on the taxpayer’s dime. Costing us more money than referring him to social services.

arrested daily for dropping cigarette ash on public sidewalks? Imo BO’D induced this “attack” in the course of arrest for cigarette ash….with a broken radio & a defective taser. And, he needed to explain the 2 head punches to a man who was in cuffs when PPD arrived.

The second I hear about a cover up of a cop waving his service revolver around and making threats is when I know that individual should not be wearing a badge- let alone conducting a missing child probe. That doesn’t even touch on the whole “impressions nonsense.”

Just because he waved a gun at a fellow officer in a domestic situation doesn’t mean he’d really shoot.
As evidence, here Bobby writes he thought seriously about shooting a man who initially merely attempted to flee from arrest for dropping cigarette ashes twice. Bobby managed to resist his dark impulses.. Maybe he remembered he could shoot someone only if they were fleeing while committing a dangerous felony–like armed bank robbery. Young smokers in Portland need to keep an ashtray in their back pocket.

OT – The case of the Sunset Athletic Club’s swim instructor sex abuse allegations was dispensed today.
Mitchell Kelly was found NOT GUILTY.
He claimed innocence all along. (This boy went to school with my son in 5th grade, and it was really hard to imagine he could be anything like he was portrayed by media, IMO.) The local media hasn’t yet picked up the story of his Not Guilty finding (and probably won’t.)

Funny, every time I go back and read one of those Eagle’s Nest publications, I remember running the mimeograph machine in the school’s secretary’s office and thinking what a big deal that was. The main thing I will always remember and I can sense it now, even just speaking about it, is the smell of those papers.
