BREAKING NEWS: Jesse Matthew Abduction of Hannah Graham also linked to Morgan Harrington Murder

BREAKING NEWS- sources inside the investigation of both the murder of Morgan Dana Harrington and the abduction with the intent to defile of 2nd year student at UVA, Hannah Graham  have confirmed to S. Christina Stoy, Editor in Chief of www.blinkoncrime.com that DNA belonging to Jesse Leroy Matthew, Jr matches the DNA link to that of a wanted suspect in the Harrington murder.

Further tests are being conducted to connect Mr. Matthew to a 2005 Fairfax sexual assault as well.

This is a developing story,  please check back for updates.

Could we be to fast to jump on VSP interviewed JM back in 2009? Perhaps another agency did the interviews thus VSP did not interview JM. Also I agree with Blink that if it was said yea she was seen getting into a cab it was purely investigative procedure or sarcasm.
The fact that JM was driving his cab that night could also be a case of he was out and about but not on duty reporting to others. My bet is Morgan had JM’s number perhaps his card and she called him. Blink could be correct he grabbed her purse to get the card then dumped it.
They did not find her torn ticket to the concert did they? Maybe in the dark and so quick he took that as well thinking it could be his card. Just stomping outside the box for awhile.

Morgan’s ticket was never recovered. Morgan did not call a cab. If she arranged a ride, and I do believe she did, it was with someone she ran into on site- or perhaps she borrowed a phone as Ms. Geller opined nearly 5 year ago?

@Ode. wrt ” So the commonwealth attorney provided him with a list of attorneys. He chose one. We contacted that person, and that person came to represent him. ”
think about how long he sat around that station while thus unfolded, getting more nervous and chattering to
mom and uncle. visually, watching all those police go in & out.

first they chat with him. I bet they’d asked him to come kn & he was keeping an appointment.
they mirandize him. he replies he wants a lawyer.
then he sits & waits while they try to reach the DA on his cell or at home on a Sat. or the golf course
for “the list.” They could’ve handed him the yellow pp.
then he sits while the DA compiles a list and faxes or emails it.
Then he takes his time & picks one.
Then the good Sheriff has to track the chosen one down on the golf
course or at Walmart. I bet this whole operation of playing for time to
    heighten anxiety was strategic.
And who takes their criminal defense referral from the DA anyway?
I don’t understand why the family didn’t leave & do their own research.

  4. MsLiberty says:

If Mr. Matthew is responsible for Morgan’s death and Hannah’s disappearance, I think the 2nd sketch was a detriment to identifying him. I hope it was done honestly, that reviewing notes of the victim’s description, LE thought #2 was a more accurate depiction. I know it’s been reported that the young lady returned to her home country so maybe she was not available to review and approve the new sketch. After the 2nd sketch, with and without beard. was released, the 1st sketch seemed to disappear and with it, any resemblance to Mr. Matthew.

Respectfully MsLiberty, sketches are notoriously flawed for ID purposes.

Now might be a good time to admit BOC may have been the impetus for the concept of presenting a sketch with and without facial hair, and perhaps aging possibility. Those that recall, it appears on BOC right after I released the DNA link, sketch to Morgan’s case in July 2010. I cannot and will not take any questions on that.

VSP looks like they lose either way. If they didn’t interview cab drivers working that night and examine the cabs that were in use or if they did and JM skated even after sketch?

    From NBC29:

One taxi driver says a Charlottesville detective told him back in 2009 Morgan got into a cab the night she vanished. “From when I went back and talked to the city and I asked which taxi cab, she said ‘yes she did jump into a taxi cab her last time being seen alive,’” said Melvin Carter, Jr. of Carter’s Taxi.

Pay particular attention that it doesn’t say VSP interviewed, it says “Charlottesville detective told him” and “when I went back and talked to the city”, I took it to mean Charlottesville police
department interviewed the cab drivers. But, I may be totally wrong.

    B

I so agree. Are taxi vans ever referred to as limousines? Another thing too, I always thought that whoever took Morgan may have dropped her purse and cell phone (even if she was taken from there instead of the bridge area) in that particular area to make it look like the Bball players did something to her. Resentment of some type toward the players, since he had been dismissed from two colleges and lost his dream of being a great Fball player? Just a thought or two.

To my knowledge, Morgan’s effects were nowhere near the exchange with the bball players- HOWEVER, I would agree that it is POSSIBLE that someone wanted folks to think that.

    INFORMATION FOR RELEASE

The University of Virginia Police Department is seeking assistance from the public with information that might help police identify who was responsible for the incident where a University of Virginia Student was abducted and assaulted on February 17, 2013 at approximately 2:30 a.m.

The victim met with police investigators and was able to provide additional information related to the suspect and the vehicle that he was driving. She stated that after she got into a vehicle near 513 Rugby Road that she initially believed was a taxi cab, the vehicle continued past her Alderman Road residence to an area near Kellogg House. She described the suspect as a middle aged male of Indian descent. She stated that he was tall and chubby with short black hair. He spoke in broken English.

The suspect vehicle is described as a dark in color, four door sedan. The survivor does not believe that the vehicle had any markings or decals to indicate that it was a taxi.

If you have information related to this incident, please contact the University of Virginia Police Department by phone at 434-924-7166 by email at police@virginia.edu, or Crimestoppers at 434-977-4000.
    February 18, 2013

To members of the University community:

A University of Virginia student has reported to University officials that she was abducted and assaulted on Feb. 17, 2013, at approximately 2:30 a.m. Using the JustReportIt system, the student reported that she was near 513 Rugby Road trying to hail a cab when a car pulled over and she got in. The car drove away and began driving her toward her Alderman Road residence. Instead of pulling over, the car continued in the direction of Observatory Hill and pulled to the side of the road near Kellogg House. The driver locked the doors and attempted to assault her. The student was able to kick the suspect and flee from the vehicle.
Anyone having information related to this incident should call the University Police at 434-924-7166 or Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000. You may also provide information through the Silent Watch Program at http://www.virginia.edu/uvapolice/report_crime.html, or by email to police@virginia.edu.
University of Virginia Police would like to remind students that while the Charlottesville area is considered to be safe, bad things can and do happen. Below are a few key safety reminders that should be a part of your routine as you travel on Grounds and in the surrounding community.

    • Please do not walk alone after dark. If you have no choice, call a friend before venturing out to let her or him know what route you are taking.
    • Please do not get into a car unless you know the driver.
    • Please do not get into a taxi unless you are sure it is a registered taxi with a meter.
    • Please get involved. If you see a fellow student in need of help, offer it. Do not leave an incapacitated student alone, whether or not you know her or him. If you cannot offer immediate assistance, call 911.
    • Please rely on University Police if you are in distress or believe you are in danger. If you have been drinking, are not able to travel on your own, and/or feel vulnerable or threatened, call 911 immediately. Never hesitate to contact University Police. We are trained to help students and we would prefer that you call us, even if the situation turns out not to be dire.

Interesting how they differentiate non-stranger, but do not refer to stranger if appropriate in sexual assaults.

  13. MsLiberty says:

I had completely forgotten this incident. This young woman was probably very, very lucky. She reported the abduction on the University’s confidential “Just Report It” line without leaving a name or any means to be contacted. This line, from a news story I’ll reference below, is intended to provide students and staff a means to report bias.

The Daily Progress had a follow-up story a few days later but I haven’t been able to copy the link. The young woman did get in touch with University LE on February 17, 2013. She said that the vehicle she had gotten into was a dark, 4 door sedan and that the man was of Indian descent (meaning from India I’m assuming.) What gives me chills though is that she said he was tall and chubby. Other than being of Indian descent, who does that sound like? If she is still at UVa or sees and recognizes Mr. Matthew as her kidnapper, I hope she has come forward and identified him. CPD needs all the information they can gather against this man to prove his guilt if he is linked to Morgan’s death and Hannah’s disappearance.

I found the story by Googling February 2013 University of Virginia student abduction.

Anytime I take a cab (usually on my own), the first thing I do is text the person I’m going to meet with the name of the cab company and the car number that I get into. Sometimes I even ask the driver for this information (after already observing it myself) so that he’s aware that I’m putting that info out there and that people are expecting me at my destination. Always feel like a crazy person, but I want to keep track of it. Luckily my drivers have always been very nice.

Gonna be honest and surprise NO ONE. I am a safety spaz. I do anything necessary if my skeeve meter goes off,
but as precautions are necessary as well. I have had to travel internationally by myself years ago, and if it was new to me you bet I had those earbuds 2 weeks in advance learning language basics. Not enough, I always scheduled transportation through my hotel directly- let them know they were responsible for yours truly.

Now, is this getting home from a night out alone? No. It is just not something I would ever feel comfortable doing. I never left a friend behind, and in fact, had some pretty big fallouts over it, but never did.

Independent women ( and my daughter is all up in that description, of that i am proud) need to know NOBODY can protect from a predator seeking prey. Buddy system at the very least is the best offense.

Ive been trying to locate a comment where I listed elementary schools in Albermine county.

I guess none of it really matters now as they finally caught him. I just wish that certain investigative tactics would’ve been used and it didn’t require Hannah vanishing to weed him out.

He grew up in the area and likely knows it like the back of his hand. I just hope LE doesn’t have to wait for them to find Hannah before they can also move forward with other cases. I believe that both can be done simultaneously.

So glad this POS is off the streets though he should’ve been years ago.

IMO he is likely responsible for MANY other cases- reported & definitely unreported.

All who post on this site would have done the basic investigative work to connect the original sketch with with a certain cab driver in C’ville in 2009–well before the later sketches were released–if they had had access to the information and the resources to do it. Where were the police? It’s really hard to accept–when so many lay people were theorizing EXACTLY what happened and who did it–a longtime local, a cab driver, a “regular guy,” AA, and so on. Not only that, where were those who knew him and his history–his family and friends? Just in Denial? Or afraid of him?

  21. Redrock says:

Even a rudimentary screening of cab drivers on duty that night (assuming he was working and not just trolling on his own time) would have entered his name into the mix especially with the release of sketch. Had the two prior locations where he had been accused of sex crimes but never prosecuted, bothered to enter his name into an intel file (yes they do exist) the cards might have fallen in such as way as to have illuminated him. Always easier to quarterback on Monday but after Morgan disappeared, screening public transportation operators, especially limos and cabs was like job 1. Even if you did not suspect someone, those guys are the eyes and ears of the city…they should have been questioned as to what they may have seen or heard

Key point here- Redrock mentions an intel file. I have discussed this previously in various forms, but he is absolutely correct- LE has access to these, in a general sense, to state-wide cases.

It is investigative 101. Get a DNA hit, get a composite, Investigative 110. Never leaves freshman year.

    Curious

To answer your question about biting my tongue. First you need to review Blink’s answers to dda and GeorgiaDad. There you will find information about the limitations of LE and DA’s regarding getting organized to handle a case that has big problems.

I worked for many years as and engineer for a fortune 500 company. In those years my work assignments were across a broad spectrum of company operations. Because of my broad base of knowledge, top management came to know that if a persistent problem arose, I would and could figure a way to solve it. It came down to being able to analyze the activity in a meaningful way and apply good technology to solve it.

After 35 years with that company, I retired and formed a small company to work with engineering firms, medical firms, legal firms and legal support firms regarding using the then new personal computers and local area networking to solve problems. I also worked with several county sheriff agencies to get them going with computers.

One of the major problems I found in working with LE agencies was one of territorial protectiveness. They didn’t like to admit that they lacked skills to solve problems or to have to call on outside help. It comes down to the fact of the age old joke that to a “carpenter who has only a hammer, everything looks like a nail”

I also worked with some legal support companies to help them organize and manage case materials for law firms that were their clients. One of the most important things for businesses to learn is their limitations and when to go outside their expertise for help.

VSP was handed a case by UVA police that in my opinion was messed up from day one because I happen to agree with Blink that Morgan was abducted from the parking lot adjacent to the track and football facility. This and I am going to now say it, was a deliberate move to try and absolve liability from UVA and in particular the poor procedures at JPJ arena. The first major deletion was the video of the crowd at JPJ arena that should have shown Morgan and her party.

The next thing was as Blink so carefully points out was the people assigned to the case by VSP lacked critical skills in handling a case such as Morgan’s and further, they were hard headed and chose to leave out the public. Managing the large amount of data in the case and being able to search it, organize it, and use it as a tool to progress the case was a necessity. If they didn’t have the tools, then they should have reached out to the FBI or hired a data management company to assist them.

When I realized that Morgan’s parents both worked for the university, I knew they would have to “walk on eggs” or perhaps give up their place of employment. A terrible situation. One has to know that the university has a top quality law school with plenty of resources that they are willing to use to absolve themselves of legal responsibility.

The major take away for VSP is don’t be hard headed, doing things the same old way without getting results, is a version of insanity. Get out of your egoistic mindset and ask for help from experts and the public. There is a large community of people at risk and you are playing silly games.

So far, in Hannah’s case, Chief Longo shows much more skills than VSP by keeping the public informed without giving up sensative information. JM is a serial offender that has as blink says operated for at least 14 years without being apprehended. The reason for that needs to be explored and fixed.

One of the major downsides to antiquated investigative technique is the ability to search them for commonalities. As a very simple example- a name search and ability to recall just the data and origin, etc. Over the last 2 years in various learning environments I have spent numerous hours with LEO’s – all investigators and discussed these issues. Many lack sufficient tools and programs – AND because the standard career path is beat cop to detective for any to progress- they rely heavily on their internal analysts ( I am civilian) who are supporting the entire department and at best they may have 1 per agency when we are talking about rural communities.

The tools I use in private practice are very similar to those we use to develop intel and research for BOC. Another issue is sharing between agencies when their is a multi-jurisdictional scenario like we are seeing now. Matthew’s interview in 2009 for a different potential crime is of great concern to me if it is in any way similar to the instant matter, or for that fact, any of the past accusations against him.

There is not going to be a set of circumstances that if it was, I am going to understand how it was not shared with VSP and subsequently not on their radar.

Most LE I meet, train with or work alongside in some capacity in my experience are dedicated professionals who want a clean case. In that instance, they are usually the first to admit error, or ask for a better solution.

The exceptions to that do not belong in an investigative capacity in LE, imo, and they typically are not very fond of yours truly, lol.

The “tall and chubby” description of the attacker on Feb. 17, 2013 struck me too. The assault occurred at 2:30 a.m. … but on a Wednesday… what are the chances the victim had been intoxicated? At the very least, it was night and dark. Is it possible that JLM could convincingly speak in broken English or fake an “Indian” accent? Were any of JLM’s fellow cabbies of South Asian descent or origin? And did he spend enough time hanging out with them– at dispatch, say– to fake an accent well enough?

  30. Kat says:

I read on one of the sites that JM was a private contractor with Access cabs in 2009, so I am concluding he owned his own cab and so would not be questioned by Access if it went missing. Convenient if it had to go missing in a hurry.

Also read he had a cab driving license from 2005-2010. Commissioner of revenue in Cville stated this. So I am assuming he drove from 2005 on. This may fill some of the gap of time one of the commenters was wondering about, ie, what did he do after he left Christopher Newport? I think I read he went to PVCC for while-local community college.

Question-does anyone know if JM has been given a cheek swab? Can Cville police obtain this legally with charge of abduction with intent to defile?

    (nbc29)

    _________

I would love to sit at their table and watch how the imaging analysis is done. What sort of data information hits are they seeking? Disturbed areas of land? Tire tracks?

We have a Geo spatial analyst on consult on BOC team. It depends what topography they are looking at, and with what equipment. The shortest windows use geo thermal- it will detect the heat difference in a human, subject to decomposition ( or sorry, unpleasant) any invertebra or animal predation. If we are looking at bodies of water, we are looking for large objects of inanimate shape, changes in flow or the possibility of someone hung up somewhere that show up as an anomaly.

Over land that is open- we are looking for all the above- tracks that should not be there, anomalies in dirt clusters, disturbed flora and fauna, comparisons to recent satellite imagery for all of the above.

Have been away from the computer all day so have several thoughts that have been percolating:

    1. I am down in Lexington, Va for a couple of days and that made me remember the alleged sighting of “sketch” and the warning put out by W&L the same weekend Hannah Graham went missing. The more I think about the coincidence of that timing, the more I wonder what the details are and I wonder if Matthew made a trip to Lexington (not far and I think his geographic comfort zone may be bigger than the normal statistics would show given that he is a lifelong Virginia resident and a former cab driver–maybe far fetched but the coincidence of the one and only publicly reported sighting/warning after four plus years on the same weekend he abducted Hannah Graham is just too bizarre.)
    2. I have a theory (based on nothing really) that Matthew told Hannah Graham he was a cab driver and that he was off-duty but would get her home.
    3. I wish I could post a picture here because there is a sign (one of those historic looking signs that direct people to various locations in tourist towns) that Hannah Graham passed on Preston right after the Shell Station. If you do not look really, really closely at it, it is very confusing and indicates that UVA and the Historic Downtown are both straight ahead (they are in fact in opposite directions from that location). Every time I have passed that sign for however many years, I do a double-take because it is so confusing. Since I can’t post a picture, here is a word description:

    Historic Downtown

    (arrow pointing straight up)

    University of Virginia

    Monticello

    (arrow pointing right)

There is a line right above University of Virginia to try to distinguish that it goes with the arrow below Monticello rather than the arrow immediately above University of Virginia but I have never been able to see it because it is so thin. My eagle eyed husband pointed it out to me but even so he agreed that the sign is really confusing. I only bring this up because I think Hannah was so confused by the time she ran into Matthew, she was ready to believe whatever someone told her if it would get her home.

I guess we will never know but I choose to believe that Morgan and Hannah were trying to do the right thing and were taken advantage of, rather than believe many of the disparaging theories that people have floated out there (I think they do this so they can allay their own fears i.e., “if I do everything right, this won’t happen to me.”)

I guess it’s worth mentioning that on this site many of us focused on a certain other professional driver who almost fit the sketch but was too short and a little old. Remember? But the point is, given the limited access and information available to most of us, he was a logical person to consider. He had an assault record too. But JM fit the original sketch along with the victim’s basic description (height, weight) and had the assault record and was a professional driver all rolled into one. And who would have predicted how he would disguise himself–with the long braids and the hippie shorts? He morphed out of muscular heavy set clean cut into fat Rasta. No way this guy is stupid.
Finally, I have a “vibe” about his sister. I fear that she has been intimidated into silence. The situation must be a nightmare for her and their mother, they have been completely silent.

I’m confused about the “intent to defile’ thing. Is that some sort of relic of old Virginia law whereby ‘defile” was another word for rape? why isn’t it intent to commit sexual assault or intent to rape?

Welcome to the commonwealth, lol – I say respectfully.

Defile, under the statute is specific as to “molest”

Very interesting article that reports that Matthew purchased the cab (which was a van) from the cab company. This guy might be a lot smarter than people are giving him credit for.

    Interesting article:

For those who want to know more about Jesse Leroy Matthew Jr., Trevis Poole is the man to see, a former business associate of Poole’s said Friday.

Poole managed Access Taxi, where Matthew worked as a cab driver in 2009, the year Morgan Harrington disappeared. Matthew purchased from Poole the van cab he drove for Access, the associate said.
Court records from June 2009 and March 2010 list Matthew as working for Access, although it’s not clear whether he was driving the night Harrington went missing.

    ….

Access Taxi was sold and renamed Anytime Taxi in November 2011, the associate said. Authorities that month charged Poole in an assault case, and he was convicted the following year, according to court records.

He was released from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail last year, officials there said. Investigators working the Harrington case are seeking to talk to Poole, according to the associate, who spoke on condition of anonymity, citing safety concerns.

In the 1980s, Poole and an older brother were at the center of one of the area’s largest drug probes. He was convicted of cocaine distribution and served six-and-a-half years in prison. The success of the task force in that case led to the formation of the Jefferson Area Drug Enforcement task force, the team that handles the majority of area narcotics cases today.

Trevis Poole who sold the cab to Jesse Matthew was convicted back in the 1980′s for a large drug bust in Charlottesville (google the stories–they are worth the read). In one of the articles I found from 1986, the name Jesse Morgan Hicks appears as a defendant indicted in that bust. The name rang a bell and it is because earlier this year, his body was found after he was reported missing 10 years ago. He was missing from Fluvanna County, his car was found on Rr 29 in Nelson, and his body was found in Keene, which is in Southern Albemarle. Not totally sure why I find this interesting but I do.

You are correct. There is another deceased person from that time period who was arrested- Wade Austin Hicks.

Hearing alot of talk on other sites about the potential for relation to Alexis Murphy case. While I understand the potential for this being rumor only, do you think there is in any way any merit to her disappearance? Also seeing/hearing that she and Jesse knew each other if nothing more than on her “ask fm” account.
An you pleaze offer your input as to whats worth considering valid regarding the above and what is simply rumor garbage?

Right now no- I do not believe there is any connection.

I am astonished at how remarkable the posters that were original to Morgan’s case can recall so clearly the vast amount of information we covered. I can also say that locals developed HUNDREDS of relevant tips that are part of her LE case file.

Thanks for acknowledging them Malty :)

I researched and yes VA law allows a cheek swab with the Hannah Graham arrest charge . So they have a referenced DNA sample straight from the horses mouth.

A defense attorney can not dispute this as proof of almost perfect match between the accused, Harrington DNA, and Fairfax lady DNA. and unless a jurist is as dumb as rocks, it will be a slam dunk. Most of the rest I suppose is circumstantial.

I think the Cville police know they have there man on a murder charge and rape times two. A defense attorney can only try to negotiate his life at this point. He may try to negotiate the old “I’ll show you where the body is” (for Hannah)

This story is going to go on for a long time, as there will be at least 3separate trials.

Kat- respectfully an arrest does not allow a buccal swab of a defendant. That is inaccurate. A probable cause warrant does, and that likely occurred in this case. In the event an individual is convicted of a crime that allows a swab to be taken and converted to DNA to be filed on record in either VA state database or CODIS- only at that time, and usually as a condition of a sentence is that done.

There are cases on the books, to include several states ( one of them is mine and I am not permitted to disclose so in the abstract:)

Guy is arrested for a DUI, subsequently weed is found, LE gets a DNA swab.
    Found guilty, gets time. Appeals.

Court throws out the S&S citing no probable cause, and weed was not actually weed.

HOWEVER, somehow the buccal stays in the system, or by some means is a hit in a violent rape case. Le arrests suspect defense atty argues successfully that arrest warrant is invalid because it is based on a DNA hit that in theory should never have been processed or submitted because the conviction was overturned.

By this time, any lineup for the victim is useless as she has been told the name of suspect and that he was arrested. So, my basic job was to use my taught philosophy in violent sexual offenders which was, find one- find more.

I did, I had a very difficult time convincing her to come forward considering it seems like this guy invented velcro handcuffs and she was terrified. Ultimately that charge and subsequent prob cause warrant convicted him, and we were able to use that sample as evidence in the other.

I just want to point out that real life, real arrests, real prosecutions are nothing like CSI or Law and Order SVU.

Lastly- I still say that I cannot exclude the possibility that Matthew acted in concert with another

So JLM’s taxi is found on yet another Albemarle farm 2 weeks ago. Wow I think Morgan is shining as bright as ever! What I wonder is how long has it been there and if the cab company ever reported it stolen? So many dots that tragically just never got connected. I dreamed LE recovered Morgan’s boots last night. I’m praying the cab is a treasure trove of evidence!

And Blink, so awesome to hear about Ms Blinkette! My granddaughter just had her senior pics taken. Sigh…where did my lil girl go?

First, with regard to the aged sketch, agreed, using a sketch is not a reliable means of identification (heard Dr. Baden state that just a few days ago.) Reading our local comments though, you would think by having a sketch, LE should have been able to walk right up to Jesse Matthew the day after the first one was released and slap him in jail. When the 2nd sketch was released, the artist used what I would guess are established standards for determining how a male would have age. What he/she/they had no way of knowing was that the man had been an athlete. I don’t know that there’s any kind of study or standards on the subject, but just watching tv, it’s easy to see that age often isn’t kind to the conditioning of former athletes. Maybe, if Mr. Matthew is the subject of the sketch, his transformation into a heavier version of himself was from lack of training or was intentional knowing that the Fairfax victim had survived and could give a reasonable description of him.

This morning, our local paper “The Daily Progress” has a story (still couldn’t figure out how to link from the paper) that Jesse Matthew bought from Trevis Poole as the owner of Access Taxi, the taxi van JM drove during the time period when Morgan was kidnapped and killed. Records show that Jesse Matthew worked for the taxi company during 2009 and 2010 though it’s not clear whether or not he was working the night Morgan disappeared.

The article states that in the 80′s, Poole and his older brother were involved in a cocaine distribution ring. He was arrested and served 6-1/2 years in jail. The success of the investigation lead to the establishment of our local drug enforcement program “JADE.”.

Poole maintained a clean record after his release until last year. During that time, Access Taxi was formed and Jesse Matthew worked for the company under that name. About 2011 the company was sold and renamed Anytime Taxi. Anytime has merged with Yellow Cab. In 2011 Poole was again arrested and convicted of assault. He was released from jail last year. According to the article, LE is looking to speak with him about Jesse Matthew. A DISCLAIMER, MUCH OF THE ARTICLE WAS OBTAINED FROM AN “ASSOCIATE” OF MR. POOLE WHO WISHED TO REMAIN UNIDENTIFIED. SINCE THE EARLIER REPORTS FROM OUR LOCAL TV NEWS SITES APPARENTLY CONTAINED SOME INACCURACIES, THE SAME COULD BE TRUE HERE ALTHOUGH I WOULD HOPE THE DAILY PROGRESS DID THEIR OWN RESEARCH ON DATES AND COURT RECORDS.

I haven’t posted in years ,but still been following Morgans case . Waiting for the day when we found the man that did this. I think without a doubt we finally got him. I had hoped it wouldn’t take another girl to find out. But sadly this seems to be the case.

Your intel, your work, your time is appreciated by so many and it’s all there…..all waiting to be read, studied, and followed.

I thank you for all you do and will continue to do. Your cognition and introspection of evidence and the processing of such is nothing short of optimum.

Thank you kindly. I think I should have added that in many cases I don’t blame LEO’s because they are seriously under-resourced and under-trained. But I would be remiss to not say that situation does compromise safety.

Found some interesting articles about the collection of DNA from arrestees charged with certain crimes that I want to share:

The following is a link to an interesting article regarding the debate about DNA collection from arrestees. It also mentions that individuals who are not convicted of the crime can request their DNA be expunged from the database.

    http://www.nij.gov/journals/264/Pages/debating-DNA.aspx

The following is a decision (much like Blink described) in which an individual challenged the right of the Commonwealth of Virginia to use his DNA in solving another violent crime he committed. The court agreed with the Commonwealth. This challenge to the law is also in the above link:
