Dr. Phil Show Hosts Missing Portland Child Kyron Horman’s Step Mom Terri Horman Over Two Episodes

I have been covering this case since Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline School in June, 2010.    Like most missing persons cases I have covered in the past,  I am of the strong opinion that best efforts at the truth are the only way to propel investigations that, similarly to Kyron’s, have gone cold for one reason or another.   This approach has worked in resolving some of my previous cases.    I am proud of that.  I remain steadfast to the integrity involved in those and future cases.

Over the past 10 months (or so) I have been developing an updated series on Kyron’s case to include my multiple interviews with Kyron’s step-mom,  Terri Horman.   Needless to say as she was the subject of at least three simultaneous cases before an Oregon court and remains a person of interest by the agency investigating her sons disappearance, this has been an arduous and sometimes delicate journey.    Ms. Horman’s experiences during the ongoing investigation of the disappearance of Kyron Horman are critically important to propelling his case and with great hope- finding the truth about what happened to this cherubic and innocent child.    There are dozens of sources,  collateral interviews, forensic experts and legal analysts that also contribute to my series and have done so because of their belief that my motivation is to bring to light information and opinions in such a way that would almost “require” a focused review of Kyron’s case and the likely shaking of that proverbial tree everyone talks about.

Set to publish about 6-ish weeks ago I was asked to postpone the first installment of the series, which I did.  I subsequently learned Ms. Horman was participating in the Dr. Phil program after she completed taping.  Dr. Phils producers were well aware that Ms. Horman had interviewed with me extensively, and anticipated my series would be publishing information that was not known to the public previously in the days prior to her scheduled episode.    When Ms. Horman conveyed to me that she feels obligated to speak out about “her son” in any national medium that will have her,   I most certainly respected that.  I still do.

While Dr. Phil seems like a gregarious fellow for sure,   I have zero interest in being associated with his program, nor do I believe his shows content is designed to do any furtherance of investigation or truth.  There is much concern (although I have no affiliation to the show whatsoever) that the timing of the publication of my series on the Kyron Horman matter might be interpreted differently or inadvertently contribute to the programs content or audience reactions.     Not what I signed on for.   A missing 7 year old boy six years running is not a framework for entertaining a target audience.   He is not fodder for online social media bully campaigns- yet it occurs.

I will be publishing my series on Kyron’s case at a later date, in it’s entirety with no editing adjustments as a result of any of the appearances on Dr. Phil.   I appreciate your patience and your understanding.   Feel free to discuss the show below.

  6. The only exception to that that which stays with me is that the original complaint for the FAPA order did not exclude TH from the residence, which is standard. It is my belief, yet another check in the debacle column, the expectation was TH was going to be arrested following the sting.

Does SG and her followers realize just because someone gets an RO against you does not mean that you go to jail. I know Kaine once had an RO in place against TH and she was not arrested. The Stolen gun is a misdemeanor so thats not going to cause any jail time. So why do all of the crater posters seem to think TH is on the verge of going to prison.

  15. Rose says:

looks like her legal strategy is to defend the gun case prior to defending the RO.
Good thing bcz the RO remaining in force with the gun
charge hanging over her head was imo a slam dunk. Judges are
cautious re DV esp with gun involvement This way she’ll have yet
another month of no contact to her credit as well.

@cd. CA lawyer sites of attorneys doing RO defense point out it is very important not to have this stay on onés record. Adversely affects custody, employment, housing rentals etc. Unfortunate she had to put it off til the lmisdemeanor is defended. And apparently it means he has the car. She needs to watch out for a surreptitious civil action by him to get a judge to order he has title. Don’t expect rational thought from a basket of deplorables.

OT Here’s tricky wording for you ATG.
Clapper issues a statement the leak on Trump’s 2 pg briefing did not come from “the intelligence community.”
It is revealed Comey alone briefed POETUS on the matter.
The FBI Dir is not part of the intelligence community making Clapper’s statement true.
So the 3 other briefers not in that Comey-POETUS mtg (nsa, cia, dci) quite brilliantly set Comey up imo.

The crater posters have wanted to see TM in prison since the beginning of the case. If someone wants something to happen to cause a prison term, they will all talk about it whether there is slim to no possibility of it happening. Wishful thinking.

2 posts over on WS, new family law associate tried 3 gambits before continuing:
exclude LOS, gag order, bar social media posts. all were foolish and of
course would not be honored. It troubles me the associate was distracted fromher case
in chief. family court judges don’t like distractiions or lawyers grandstanding for
their clients. maybe terri and former RO lawyer disagreed on the tactic of whether or
not to incorporate the haters into her case. imo a good lawyer would’ve told her to
solely focus on the RO and case in chief. It’s OK to identify any contacts Jeff had and
when with anyone wrt Kyron case when bringing out his motivation. But she needs solely to
mount a defense against the RO if she has one.

  24. Rose says:

Good to learn of your progress. Of course you don’t fit in the regular shopping cart, but you could use the motorized carts for those who have trouble walking. And you are depending on those around you to help.

Be careful in your posture and the length of your stride when you are able to walk more. I pulled a muscle in my left hip two years ago and it was painful to walk. After a couple of weeks of being tired of the constant low level pain, I stopped to analyze why it was not getting better. I found myself using a short stride that was changing the use of the hip flexor muscles. I went back to the normal stride for me and in three days the pain was gone. Our entire body operates from muscle memory learned over time. When that is changed by something, then things do not work as they should and the body complains.

Yes Rose, Mr Comey was set up by the other agencies. My term for that behavior is “Weasel Wording”. They counted on the general population to be a lot less knowledgeable than you regarding what each agency does and to what group they belong.

One of the dangerous things that has happened in our government agencies is that they have become politicized.

The use of language is a skill just like any other. I was just grumbling to Mrs. ATG about an article written by a beginning reporter at a local weekly newspaper reporting on a Christmas concert performed by out Community Band. She was trying to be helpful to encourage others with musical talent to come and join us. She stated in the article that we were not professional musicians and then followed up a paragraph later that many in the band were retired band directors. Since when were school band directors not professional musicians?

In addition to the retired directors, we have five people who played in U.S. military bands and two who played in professional symphony orchestras which are me and the director. All of those positions were paid positions. The person sitting next to me played in the Marine band “The President’s Own” at Washington D.C.,taught at the the Navel school of music and later conducted the Marine field band at New Orleans for eight years.

To her credit, she did take a good photo of our trumpet section.

    Grumble, grumble.

    1) duplicate LE or supplementary searches based on personally solicited duplicate tips

    2) soliciation of tips to sister, paired with a reward blurb which reward
sister is not responsible for (see today’s Soldier FB for pairing a $50,000 reward

    3) media and FB pressure on Terri: no job, no car, no housing, no reputation,
bad criminal record even on a misdemeanor works.

Even the most poorly trained investigator can’t ignore the irrefutable fact that Kyron Horman did not leave Skyline with Terri Horman and that was verified unequivocally years ago. Its a hard fact, not subject to opinion. Same with the multiple witness accounts of SZ, all occurring while Terri is on video elsewhere. I obviously dont care where the push comes from to right this ship and find this child, but I will repeat myself- Kaine, so far, has made the most sense- find the identity of SZ and find Kyron.

maybe that’s why mcso has pretty much entirely since 2013 left
the investigation publically to an imo unstable birth mother and her associates.

A lot of people hate salt on the roads because it gets into crevices in the vehicle body and causes rust. In a coastal environment, it is worse because the air is already salty. Sand is better in some places, but it too can hold moisture.

I remember the problems we had with vehicles rusting on the Coast of Texas near Corpus Chrisi. That environment was all salt laden air.

  38. A Texas Grandfather says:

    T. Ruth

The pretrial conference on the gun charge may be to determine if there is sufficient evidence to take the case to trial. Without any evidence beyond what we know, I think is going to be a he said she said confrontation with zero evidence to support the complainants position.

  39. erose says:

o/t ATG, I know you’re right about the salt. Another problem we have up here with it is it attracts the elk and deer to the roads. Still, we need something for the ice. Kaye says the public’s help is needed, particularly from old-timers with experience in the aerospace industry in the Pacific Northwest.
The scientists would like to hear theories from the public on what those materials could have been used for. They hope the information can help build a profile of Cooper.

    http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/scientists-say-they-may-have-new-evidence-in-db-cooper-case/ar-AAlSrRA?li=BBnb7Kz

Yep. Help from the general public in a 45 year old case involving metals/materials on a JCPenney tie in evidence equally as long.
With limited real research into DB Cooper- I am very inclined to believe to believe Cooper was actually Richard McCoy.

Blink, I found the tie fascinating wrt the metals and technology used to detect them. The Kenworth paint on Ridgeway transferred to victims was damning forensics, so kind of the same idea in that he was in a limited area. In the 60′s/70′s Boeing was probably #1 employer in WA State, but this suggests limited people exposed, still wonder who didn’t show up for work after 11.24.71, LOL.

Salt is chemical too. In solution with water it, will lower the freezing temperature well below freezing the freezing temperature of water alone.

I forgot about the animal problem. An elk at up to 1,500 lbs. or a large deer at 200 or more lbs. can destroy the front end of an auto or small truck.

    Rose
I agree that the entire set of allegations against TM probably belong in a civil court. However, I thought that she did have representation for the gun charge and there was some problem with the service not being delivered properly.

How can the identity of SZ be found when absolutely no description is given…..we don’t have a clue who we are looking for…thus how will this baby ever be found….now all the child sex rings slowly coming out….it’s over whelming the possibilities…I pray for the lost little one.

In my view the description itself 6 years later is basically useless on its own- it matches several men (or at least vaguely I am aware of) that have been cleared and iirc family members of kids. SZ identity to my knowledge, is unknown to LE- his confirmed eye-witness existence, by multiple adults and children is known. LE would need to finally acknowledge this (past Kaine’s insistence) and provide details they have to narrow confirmation interviews productively. ie: presumably there is a list of interviews timeline so LE knows where/when SZ was as well as witnesses. The issue of not engaging the public regarding SZ rests solely with MCSO.
