Charlottesville, VA– On the evening of one of the most anticipated musical events of her young 20 years, Morgan Dana Harrington, 20, disappeared from the Metallica Concert at JPJ on October 17, 2009. After months of investigative efforts involving four different law enforcement jurisdictions, Morgan’s skeletal remains were found by Anchorage Farm owner David Bass on January 26, 2010.
Upon the recovery of Morgans remains, many parallels of her life reflected her love of the musical community in general, but also, the surrounding venues she attended previously, such as bonnaroo, allgood, the rooster walk, and floydfest. Charlottesville is rife with heritage, musical talent, eclectic artisans and those wanting to be a part of it, nightly, across the vast bucolic landscape. As a tribute to Morgan Harrington’s love of the Indi music scene, blinkoncrime.com will explore some of the culture and artists she embraced.

It was clear from Lt. Joe Rader’s press conference on February 4 that the location of Morgan’s remains is critical to the investigation, and to the identity of the individuals responsible.
Why Anchorage Farm?
David and Nancy Bass, owners of Anchorage Farm and the residential dwellings therein, own a boatload of land.

Mr. Bass, is also a longstanding member of the Albemarle County Zoning Appeals Board. In fact, he is the Chairman of the ACZAB since 2007, where he preceded this position at the Vice Chair since 2000.
Between 2005 and 2008, let’s agree there is a “run” on raw land in Albemarle County VA, in particular.
Like many families owning large tracts of land, there is always the dilemma of staying ahead of the zoning curve or preserving their land while paying taxes only on the residence.
Anchorage Farm, like almost 90% of surrounding vacant land, was registered in the Agricultural and Forrestal preservation program.
Charlottesville, VA– Corrine Geller, Public relations Manager for Virginia State Police, Appomatox barracks, has announced a Press Conference scheduled for today at 3PM.

Charlottesville, VA– This afternoon, originating on a VT Athletics Siterumors clogged the web that a suspect was placed under arrest for the murder of Morgan Harrington. After my 20th comment in 10 minutes and 12th email inquiry about it, I went to the source.
..There has been no arrest. It is an unfounded rumor and I have no idea how or where it started. I can only assume it stemmed from the fact that we completed our investigation of the crime scene at Anchorage Farm early this afternoon, I guess I will probably have to put out an email this afternoon..”
– Corrine Geller, PR Manager for VSP to Blink
As exclusively reported yesterday on blinkoncrime.com, it is expected that the and VSP upcoming conversations with those on the list with permission to hunt on Anchorage Farm, will propel the investigation into the murder of Morgan Harrington quickly.
However, Virginia State Police are not discussing whether or not they have a person of interest or suspect in this case.
There is however, unreleased new information and new evidence gleaned from the crime scene. VSP will not disclose what personal effects were found with Morgan’s remains at this time.
The viral arrest rumor was not the only odd occurrance today.
In what appears to be an unrelated coincidence, an explosive device was detinated on the train tracks close to James Madison University this morning. A nearby dorm has been evacuated in connection with materials found at the scene, and a criminal investigation has been launched by the ATF.
JMU is the school several of Morgan’s friends attend, and from where the group departed to attend the Metallica Concert that fateful night of October 17, 2009.
