BREAKING NEWS

Orlando, Fl– In the recent depositions by the State Attorneys Office in the case against Casey Anthony one common exhibit was noted in each deposition of George, Lee and Cindy Anthony.

A cropped version of a photo of Caylee wearing the tshirt that is believed recovered with her remains.

CoverofGlobe

All 3 Anthony’s claimed to not have seen this picture before previously, although without being prompted, Lee noted the photo was cropped.

How then, did it get in the hands of The Globe? Could this be the evidence removed from the Anthony home that Jose Baez tells Cindy Anthony to “Zip It” during her testimony and objects to information he considered sealed by the judge?

This edition of the Globe was released October 8, 2008. Six days before Casey Anthony was indicted for murder and remanded to jail without bond.

THE SALE OF THIS PHOTO PRE-DATES THE RECOVERY OF CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY FROM THE WOODS OFF SUBURBAN DRIVE.

One could make the leap that the person selling it would have had knowledge of what she was wearing when 34 month old Caylee Marie met her tragic end.

(EDITORS NOTE: Don’t even try the picture was sold at the yardsale with the clothes and laundry bag– PUHLEASE..)

Blinkoncrime.com poster “Justice 23” contributed to this report.

Westsidehudson in #490: agree with you up to the point of Cindy taking Caylee away from Casey. Cindy told her coworkers (?) she could not afford to adopt Caylee. In his early statements Lee says Cindy and Casey argued about Casey leaving Caylee to be babysat too much. Cindy herself tells how Casey would bring Caylee by at work or at the house just after work almost every night. I think Casey might have welcomed a firm adoption, or giving over of Caylee to the grandparents.

Why not? Like Grandma P said, Casey hated Cindy more than she loved Caylee. Cindy didn’t want just Caylee, she wanted Casey to be the perfect mom to Caylee. Thinking perhaps that being a good mom would make Casey grow up? Cindy wouldn’t have a perfect family if the daughter had abandoned her child with the grandmother. Cindy wanted that public perfection more than she cared about Casey.

Other than that, I think you are right about Casey’s desperation to find a man to love her and take her away from Cindy’s reign of terror. Lee seemed to say that the two women fought frequently. Who wouldn’t want to escape from that? Casey fell in “love” awfully fast and easily, and various men found Casey attached to them like a leech. Tony admitted to teasing her about his going back to NY. Was it Ricardo who said she came over too often? Jesse loved Caylee more than her, so she couldn’t be with him.

So I wonder what happened on the night of June 15? I keep thinking that whatever it was, it was the thing Casey talked about in the jail video–”I haven’t told them anything yet”. or something to that effect, said to Cindy personally.

    I’m confused…

Are you saying the shorts were put there after the body was already there? Do you think Casey did this? Or do you mean someone from the Anthony family or DC?

I am saying she definately was not wearing them, the degredation of the cotton material is in no way close to the shirt, the possibility exists that someone threw them in there ( they are found a considerable distance from the bag, and are never mentioned by anyone (Kronk) who was in the area. It is possible, yes.

Why does the State keep asking the A’s about Casey’s timeline story (mostly Cindy) They must have that down pat by now. Why don’t they ask them the “Timeline they developed from their investigation” Inquiring minds want to know.

And I would like to know what the continuing “Script” was to be had Casey’s car not been discovered that day. I wonder if that is somewhere we haven’t seen. Surely Casey was asked that question. After all it was part of the script right? and How many days was that script for? And Now I am sure it can be revealed what Casey did to deserve Caylee being taken away.

The more I hear Cindy the less I am likely to believe she was not involved in some way. I can almost see the A’s plan working about creating doubt I mean. It scares me. The jury will never know all the stuff that we do.

    You got that Suzee

  5. Elle says:

I would love some help with the George element, apropos of Comment 548. I have never read that Casey’s motive was payback for George. George was the one trying to make Casey’s life difficult, the job check at Sport’s Authority, the car chase [the one that Cindy remembers sitting colouring with Caylee when George when charging out the door back in the spring but has no idea why George would be chasing her. Presumably because Cindy was known for minding her own business]
I think Casey knew she could kill Caylee sedating her, hence the search for a plan B in March. Worse, her birthday present to herself was the murder of George – household weapons and self defense but she chickened out. The plots are so intertwined now as to be confusing but I think Caylee’s demise the night of Father’s Day was fueled by revenge against George. It was one or the other, and Casey was afraid of losing a fight with George.
I find it very curious that the sole focus has been on the Casey/Cindy dynamic as motive. Casey would have killed Caylee on Mother’s Day or Cindy’s birthday, June 5.
    Am I missing something?

Did Casey hide the lanyard from LE? Or did Cindy? If it were Cindy, then she knew Casey didn’t work at Universal (After her visit there on July 3(?) I also wondered about Cindy saying that the employees switched name tags, as a joke???. Was Casey altering these name tags like I suspected she was altering IDs. Maybe Casey created a name tag using a discarded name tag and Cindy hid it or Casey did.

  8. columbiares says:

Remember though how Casey freaked out in jail when they found the body and had to be medicated? This was before they announced it was Caylee they found. What I’m getting at is if they planted the shirt/shorts to point in another direction wouldn’t she be jumping for joy and not hyperventilating? Just trying to put all the pieces together.

I sometimes can see Dominic Casey putting the clothes there. Those few days Casey was out of jail- who knows what she disclosed to Lee.

I’m going to repost this comment because I think I did something to make it go ‘poof’

Does anybody know where to find a picture taken of Casey around New Years Day 2008 (or Christmas time 2007)? If we can show that her hair is different than the one in the Globe picture then it would help narrow down whether or not Ricardo provided both the inside and the cover pictures and that he took all of them in the same timeframe.

I’m on the fence on this one. It would be a lot of finagling for a lot of parties to have both Ricardo cashing in on his story and his pictures from New Years Day – and have someone else cashing in on the picture on the cover. Two separate deals in the same issue – it could happen.

I was looking through the photo albums on the myspace page referenced by Shyloh in a previous comment and noticed a photo of a tattoo that has a dove with Caylee Marie written on the ribbon the dove is holding in its beak. Is this another one of Cindy’s ‘tributes’ to Caylee like the ‘these aren’t my grand baby’s’ ashes in her jewelry? (hope the link works, trying to submit one with this comment)

Looks a lot like a ‘memorial’ tattoo to me.

Also, probably mentioned before and a little off topic for this thread, did everyone hear that Nancy Grace trademarked “tot mom” or has been trying to since March?* And Cindy ‘claims’ (in quotes bc I’m not sure if it’s true) she has had “Caylee Marie Anthony” trademarked? Knowing from personal experience, this is not a cheap task. My brother was trying to have something trademarked and it was thousands of dollars so he had to back off it. If Cindy did in fact go through with trademarking Caylee’s full name, then why do the Anthony’s have these extra thousands of dollars to spare? Did their ‘foundation’ pay for that? I thought those donations were to go to finding missing children? If it came from ‘licensing fees’ then wouldn’t the defense want that money for their own pockets? It’s just mind boggling!

    — the things that LE supposedly were offered many times but never wanted. When she was talking about the items she gave him, Ashton said “identify the items and limit it to that”. Baez then added “by you. by you.” Could it be that another family member gave JB an item that could possibly be a “bombshell” and the defense is not saying yet what that is? So maybe Casey gave him something or maybe she told her mother to give him something. In that regard, it wouldn’t have been from Cindy; it would have been from Casey.

Good point. But that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not the photo either. But if not, it almost sounds more sinister.

  21. Kleat says:

Blink, re ‘timing’ of bruise and ‘age of Caylee’ in the Globe photo. IF this photo, child age, can be correlated with the other clothes found– IE: the shorts, that video of Caylee in shorts, was it the one Cindy commented in her depo, as having been taken ‘around her second birthday’?

Shorts + BIG TROUBLE Tee == makes sense that both would date the child from around her second birthday.

And– let’s say this was a gift from someone, like Jesse, who Casey seemed to have some resentment towards (she was jealous of his love for the baby as she was jealous of her mother with Caylee, including the ‘birthday party’ issues) then it may be possible that this shirt never got worn, got put away somewhere so that it was not worn– maybe in those clothes piles or bags etc, that Cindy talked about in her depo.

Casey could have got both the shorts and the pink Tee (nice pairing of the two to make an outfit, don’t you think– coincidence or a ‘set’ gift) from an old bag of Caylee’s clothes, now too small for her. And used those to ‘dress’ the crime scene– not ‘dress’ the child. Why those? We can maybe relate the ‘saying’, but we could also speculate that IF this were from someone who was to become the focus of the investigation, should the body be found, what better than to say ‘HERE’S YOUR BABY AND YOUR GIFTS FOR HER BACK!!’ as a ‘set up’ for someone who may have given that particular ‘gift’ to the child.

UNLESS, the photos are being meted out by an agency? Maybe the purported estimate of $ 200k, was a lump payout for a bunch of photos, and the agency gets money when they are published? This way, the Globe could have gotten some items from more than one source.
Of course, it could have happened through multiple individual sources as well.

Who was reporting the $ 200K? Was that what the Anthonys got or the Baez firm? Anyone remember where this figure came from?

#526 Chicago Judy. Your memory is correct. That’s from George’s interview with LE interview on 7/24. He talks about how he recognizes what the smell was and saw the stain in the trunk. He says when they got the car home: “Cindy said ‘what died!?’ She said, ‘George, it was the pizza, right?’ I said, ‘Yes, it was the pizza.’”

It’s very revealing to go back and listen to it, especially in light of George’s onset of amnesia during his deposition.

It’s also the same interview where LE strongly urges George to put a leash on Cindy (my paraphrase). “We tried to tell your wife, if you go down this road (with the media) it’s going to turn into a circus.” They spend a good bit of time trying to convey to George that even this early on, how Cindy is working against them, not with them and to stop doing the talk show circuit. Of course, the Anthony’s never took this very sound advice, either.

#514 – Re: Mama doll. You’re absolutely accurate, Blink. Mama doll was found in the car seat, according to Cindy’s testimony. What threw me was the photo of the doll in the collapsible bin (exhibit 15) which I understood came from the trunk. It had me thinking that was another doll in the car seat. Going back and re-reading, I see that Cindy explains in depo 332:12 that she removed it from the car seat and put it in the collapsible bin. See, this is why I consider myself such a novice. LOL. Some of you are incredible when it comes to recalling some of these details.

Yes, she washes her face with a wipe from the backpack I believe.
Dead body stench, granddaughters baby-doll not with her ggdr, yep, no need for panic there-

I just love that “mama”. Maybe it reminds me of when my own “little” girl would put her “Lindsey” in her baby stroller and walk next to me with her baby brother in mine. She would hit any crack in the sidewalk, street sign, fire hydrant, curb to make her fly out so she could stop, throw her hands in the air and pick up her “poor baby”, kiss her boo boos and say to her brother “dont you do that, real babies get real boo boos.” I hope mama was with her.

  33. cmaissol says:

    Hello all,

This is my “virgin” post as I have been reading here for a couple of weeks. Be gentle!

    My current speculations:

    1) Casey most certainly has a personality disorder! She’s beyond histrionic, she’s a mix of narcissistic, borderline and anti-social. People are merely objects to her, especially her child and the men she slept with – and probably her lawyer. She used her sexuality to get what she wanted and if she could trap a man with a pregnancy,so much the better. I wondered if she was trying to get pregnant with Tony’s child to get him to marry her.

Cindy is more histrionic/narcissistic/OCD. George is simply lost with his addictive and passive personality. Lee is the “invisible’ child who can now become the family “hero” in his deposition.

    2) Casey chose to set up Ricardo & Amy primarily as “Zanny” and chose the photo accordingly. Tony was just a decoy. Since she speaks “in code”, Casey stealing from Amy could set them up for having motive. Rationale- Ricardo joined with Amy in taking Caylee to punish Casey for stealing. Reference Blanchard Park story – who else would be strong enough to hold her down? He was no longer of any use to her as she now had Tony.

3)She threw the clothes in on her jog. Dominic Casey was sent to find the remains as Kronk was missing the spot for too long. Casey wanted to be home for the holidays! Too bad she didn’t realize that LE can’t be fooled as easily as everyone else.

    4) She may have stored Caylee in or under the playhouse the first 2 days. The parents may have smelled some decomp or found something of Caylee’s in the dirt, which led to the paving and Myspace posting. Now they have a memorial in that spot. How they can tolerate looking at her death certificate with the word “homicide” on it is beyond me. They probably only set it up for the cameras. Then again, it’s not that big of a deal if Caylee is still alive in their minds. Neither of them can give a solid answer as to why they believe that – because the defense didn’t participate in the autopsy? Why don’t they worry that another family will accuse them of cremating their child or that those who attended the memorial might be a bit miffed about that belief? It’s beyong wierd, it’s pathological.

That tugged at the heartstrings. You cannot separate a little girl from her dollbaby. How much collusion with Anthony friends and supporters went into the major Caylee “sightings”? For example, no one ever identified the little girl in the mall pictures as “Not Caylee Anthony, but our little girl.” And the Atlanta airport sighting is still being belabored by Lee and Cindy.

I say this remembering the astonishing efforts of the online “Team Caylee” posters to paint the Grund family as evil incarnate and responsible for Caylee’s disappearance. I lost track of the group after Caylee was found, but they, as well as other fervent Anthony supporters, are surely still busily engaged in skullduggery to free Casey. Scarey.

Personally, I believe we will see alot more of info on the “sightings” to come..

I dunno…call me a skeptic…but I think way too much thought is going in to all of this where Casey is concerned.

I think the clothes were with her (either on or off her body) when she initially dumped her…and there was really no “planning who to implicate” on Casey’s part.

It all looks nefarious to us..but I think that most of it has a logical explanation – and not a complicated plan put forth by Casey.

I certainly could be all wrong on this…but the way it looks to me is – Casey killed her daughter in a moment of rage – dumped her body when the smell got too much (or she was almost caught with the body in the trunk) – and the rest, as they say, is history.

After the last depos were released with this photo attached It really bothered me the way all of the Anthony’s were not answering the questions regarding this photo. The cropped black and white of this photo is haunting. Why is it cropped? Why are they not answering? Were there clues in the background? When I saw what I thought was the spare tire I was sickened. I couldn’t sleep so I came to Blink’s site because she and all of her posters seemed like the kindest and have always been informative and superb sleuths.
They did not dismiss me as some crazy and took the time to help me disprove my dark belief. I am so thankful.
I think the answer to the question of why only now are these questions about where was this photo taken, why is it cropped, why is the background darkened, when was it taken and by who is because Blink and all of the posters here took the time to investigate my (a first time posters) concerns seriously which lead them to search for the truth.
I eagerly await Blink’s update on the photo. I just want to say thank you to SuzeeB for including me in the same sentence with Blink and Justice23 And Thanks again to all of you for welcoming me here. Momof3

Bloggers on websleuths discussed this cropped photo in February 2009, and I personally emailed Jaden’s Granny on MySpace on Feb. 22, 2009 and asked her about the cropped photo. This was her reply on the same day:
“I don’t remember where I found that one, it was in a bunch of pictures someone posted a long time ago.
I think she looks like Cindy in that one.
    She was a little doll.
    Jean”

If this cropped (or full) photo was originally on Richard Grund’s MySpace page, I do not understand why he would ask Jaden’s Granny or anyone else to stop posting it on their own MySpace pages? Why so proprietary over this particular photo? No judgement in this question, just a reasonable question included in my thought process on this matter.

I suppose that LE and the prosecutors did not make the connection to the GLOBE full photo which was published Oct 8, 2008 and the MySpace cropped photo, until it was brought to their attention recently?

Or, is it possible that the prosecutors only included the cropped Big Trouble photo in the exhibits for the Anthony depositions, because of copyright laws now that the GLOBE apparently owns the full photo?

It is still a mystery as to WHO sold the full Big Trouble photo to the GLOBE, and when???? And WHO cropped the photo, and when was it cropped, and why was it cropped?

This is what I have been saying. Feb 2009 they had a cropped photo (someone). The piece appeared in Oct 2008, and assumably sold before that. There is zero chance the SA would not subpoena the full file photo from the Globe, of a murder victim wearing the shirt she was ultimately found with, from an article printed 2 months prior to the discovery of her remains and 4 months after she was missing. Z E R O. We WILL know who sold it, but probably sealed until trial.

Does anyone think if this was NOT sold by Casey that the DEFENSE would not be shouting from the rooftops blaming someone else? O, and consider the fact the Globe is not going to pay a stranger with no rights to said photo so they get sued. It would be like a pawn broker buying expensive jewelry without a DL or receipt of ownership-
Except, we are talking about a murdered baby.

Teri – I go there with you sometimes. I think the same thing one moment – and then something else stands out as just far too much to be coincidence. I am the anti-conspiracy theory person in my house of 4 boys and a hubby who love conspiracy theories. Its not my nature.

Is this the typical ‘mother who snapped under pressure’? Maybe.

Its what happened AFTERWARDS that has changed the game. What she DID/DID NOT DO. What her parents DID. What her brother DID. That’s what changes the game for me.

#540, Kleat dear: Caylee may have named her dolly “Mama” when she was a year or more younger. My daughter & now my granddaughters came up with some peculiar names for their dollies when they were very, very young. And the names stuck.

Or perhaps Caylee’s doll cried “Mama” when you moved her a certain way.

My personal favorite will always be my son’s name for his Hermit crab from the beach. He was 3.
I asked him what he thought his name should be, what did he think he looked like?

He replied “Figgelman.. I think he looks like Figgelman..”
We laughed so hard after we picked our jaws up off the floor. We had NEVER heard that name before, and have not to this day.
I will never know where in the world that came from nor do I care. I just bloat with love at the memory.

I mention it because I dont think there is really a definative reason small children name things as they do, that are explainable at an adult level. They own it. It is just “theirs.”

I remember reading somewhere that Paul Kelly did not know anything about any papers to protect the custody of Caylee. It must have been that “other ” lawyer. I am sure Cindy will come up with his name.

Stephanie Kostakis was a friend or cousin of Jesus Ortiz. She tried to visit Casey in jail but Casey refused.

If I can find these links I will post or you can take my word for it. Ha, Ha

Stephanie was his Best GF. As in friend. Casey refused her visit.
I’ll spare the regulars the rest of my thoughts on this.
God Rest his soul. Good Kid.

westsidehudson Jean is just a Caylee supporter And a Richard Grund Supporter. She doesn’t know the family personally… She has the cropped version same as I do. I believe she got her’s the same place I did and without me mentioning the site. she mentioned it first. And I gave her the link. And it was taken at this myspace that the Anthony’s put up Mine was anyway. It cropped. . And Michelle Bart ran it for some time.

The photo has been removed from that site on myspace

I told jean to come here. She has the link I am sure she will when she has the time.
    Thanks Shyloh.
I think I am a bit cloudy today. Are you saying everyone got the cropped photo from the above site, which is maintained by the Anthony’s, the same photo they all denied ever seeing?
    B

Shyloh – what is the timeframe that you got the cropped photo from the “cayleeismissing” site?
That would mean the cropped (or full) photo originated with the Anthonys (maybe Grund had a copy also?). Maybe the Anthonys cropped it for the sole purpose of showing only Caylee in that photo for their “missing” child website?

It still leaves the open possibility/likelihood that Casey/Baez/agent sold the full photo to GLOBE (without the knowledge of the other Anthonys?). And I agree that it is no coincidence that this particular photo was sold to the mag and featured on the cover.

#490, WestSide: Beautiful post. I am in complete agreement with every word you wrote. I have never once believed that partying or living a carefree, single life was Casey’s goal. Her only goal was to get out from under Cindy. And as long as Caylee was around, Casey would never, ever be free of Cindy.

Don’t think Casey planned this, but rather killed her daughter in a fit of rage (toward Cindy). And as Kleat says, the following days of gleeful partying were in joyful celebration of her newfound emancipation from her controlling freak of a mother.
