BREAKING NEWS

Orlando, Fl– In the recent depositions by the State Attorneys Office in the case against Casey Anthony one common exhibit was noted in each deposition of George, Lee and Cindy Anthony.

A cropped version of a photo of Caylee wearing the tshirt that is believed recovered with her remains.

CoverofGlobe

All 3 Anthony’s claimed to not have seen this picture before previously, although without being prompted, Lee noted the photo was cropped.

How then, did it get in the hands of The Globe? Could this be the evidence removed from the Anthony home that Jose Baez tells Cindy Anthony to “Zip It” during her testimony and objects to information he considered sealed by the judge?

This edition of the Globe was released October 8, 2008. Six days before Casey Anthony was indicted for murder and remanded to jail without bond.

THE SALE OF THIS PHOTO PRE-DATES THE RECOVERY OF CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY FROM THE WOODS OFF SUBURBAN DRIVE.

One could make the leap that the person selling it would have had knowledge of what she was wearing when 34 month old Caylee Marie met her tragic end.

(EDITORS NOTE: Don’t even try the picture was sold at the yardsale with the clothes and laundry bag– PUHLEASE..)

Short of calling Casey out, which could result in some serious consequences for her, what type of behavior would we find appropriate?

How about “zipping it up”. Quietly support the daughter that they love.Go visit the daughter. Or not.
Stop pointing fingers in every direction, lying, changing stories and going on national TV.
As to the cruise, it’s already been discussed in prior posts, no one here was really ragging on that at all. So it does help to go through the comments sometimes, no offense.

Hey, kill your baby, set things up with a ranting family member, get big payouts for your baby’s photos for your mega-dream team by selling to trashmags, and keep that money going until trial after appeal… nice… if you win, you WIN BIG.

Now anyone wonder WHY Baez NEVER opted to push for speedy trial in the 60 days he had a chance to?? He knew the body was to be found and where and wearing/with ‘what’ and he knew the degree of decomposition.

Casey couldn’t have timed the dump better had she been able to predict a storm season– geeze, it’s so rare for Florida, and she knew where water would stay for awhile and that no one in their right minds would go walking there.

Baez’s neat little presser with his read statement from client to say she did NOT want the body cremated– sets up the ‘she’s not dead’ theory and that Casey did not want to destroy any evidence of the body– it was out of her hands and into Cindy’s. (tell me a lawyer could not fight this issue with the family– it’s not like accused was wanting the body destroyed for future inquiry– it was not even the father, but the grandparents to blame). Casey could have asked the courts for this to be stopped.

Todd Black is not a real person, how would they pay the guy?

Naw… has to be someone who Baez could trust to do the negotiating– a real person who wouldn’t take off with the loot, but put all but his/her fee into the Casey trust fund, not the one some lanyard key fits into at the bust station.

SILVER_Thanks, great post. And also thanks for answering my confusion to the following, I didn’t understand how he could be pro se on the case.

Just FYI: A “pro se” filing, is a filing that one does on behalf of ONESELF. A person unconnected to the case cannot file a “pro se” motion on behalf of Casey. Plus– wrong caption/wrong jurisdiction/wrong judge, etc. Something got mis-filed at the court.

wsh – Hey, I didn’t take offense to your comments. But, I also didn’t say anyone was raging, just thought that the comments are counterproductive. And, while not raging it seems to be at least a semi-popular topic. For what it is worth I read about 500 of the comments, just haven’t finished yet. :) And, while I don’t comment all the time I do read here all the time. And, I think this is more prevalent than is necessary.

I understand what you are saying about the Anthony’s. I agree zipping it would be helpful to themselves, Caylee, and Casey but I still doubt that we’d be happy with their behavior regardless. Like I said, if they get charged at some point with obstructing, perjury, etc, it’s all good. They deserve it but honestly I find people’s strenuous objection to them personally to be unnecessary and distracting. If someone wants to go through their depositions and point out inconsistencies then so be it. Them going on TV is stupid and ridiculous. If you want to point out lies they are telling, fine. But, there is a lot of sensationalism that goes along with this that people are commenting about that in my opinion is irrelevant.

All I’m really trying to say is that there comes a point where some, not all, people lose sight of the fact that they are human and backed into a corner. It seems to me that a lot of people want revenge as much as justice for Caylee. I’m not directing that comment at anyone in particular just saying that is tone that a lot of comments seem to take. I think it is counterproductive and I think it’s a fair assessment to say their lives are ruined. It isn’t necessary to pile it on. And, like I said, some of these details I, personally, could care less about.

It is only my opinion but it’s how I feel about it.

“Just one quick question…..the reason I think Spindy knew on July 15th. She says she had talked to Crazy but not seen her, so when you pick up a car at a tow company and you haven’t seen your daughter or granddaughter in over a month. And you already know your daughter is not your best friend (as Spindy would like for us all to believe) and you are warned by the tow yard employee/owner about the odor. Why oh why would you even move the car? Wouldn’t a concerned parent call the police immediately?”

Good catch! Another interesting tidbit regarding the car and picking it up at Johnson’s. Allegedly George hadn’t talked to Casey for several weeks before getting the notice, although Cindy apparently did from what she (and George) tell LE. Originally seemed to really believe Casey was in Jacksonville based on her statements to George when he calls her after picking the notice up from the PO, “Guess where our old Sunfire is?” Cindy says, “Jacksonville” as if she knows it. George says, “No … it’s down at Johnson’s Wrecker”. So unless this was staged as well, neither of them had any idea the car was going to be at Johnson’s Wrecker and George hadn’t spoken with Casey for weeks according to him.

Why then, before he even went down to the towyard to retrieve the car did he automatically take the gas cans with him? Does he have ESP or something just “knowing” the car would be out of gas? If neither of them had any knowledge about the car’s whereabouts before this, and Cindy really believed it was in Jacksonville, where Casey was “supposed” to be, then why would George even entertain the idea of automatically taking gas cans with him before 1st going to the towyard to find out what was up? Did fairies tell him it was out of gas, hence “Oh … have to get the gas cans to go retrieve the car”??? The statements made by Simon Birch, the mgr of Johnson’s and George also conflict and always have … regarding who exactly said what, when and how the whole car scenario actually went down.

My point is, something is very fishy there as well. How in the world would George had known to take gas cans with him BEFORE ever even going to check out the car that he would actually need them in order to get it home? He already had the cans with him when he went to go get it and yet he was still allegedly “in the dark” about why the car was even there in the 1st place. Something really stinks in suburbia there. Another lie? Someone’s lying and I’d be more apt to believe Simon Birch’s description of what really happened at this point.

  27. westsidehudson says:

Kleat. I meant to tell you that that post was funny. Recently, a year or two ago, I listened to Bob Woodward recount meetings with “deep throat”, and the placing of flags out of windows etc. It reminded me of that.

  28. wpgmouse says:

I don’t know if this is a bedroom. Looks maybe like an attic or somewhere with horizontal wood slat walls (top right corner of photo). Not sure if that is a drawer or a cardboard box with a white fabric object in it on the right side, above Caylee’s head. Also not sure if that is a brownish fabric with black trim on the left in front of a window, or a white item with black trim against a brownish wall. There is definitely a glare spot up there, though.

    Kleat? Anyone?

  29. Kleat says:

I suspect that Blink will tell us who the connection to AM is, in her next article– we’ll have to wait and read/see.

For now, I am interested to learn whose bedroom this is, as it does not seem like Casey’s– dark drawers, and those tennis shoes are a size or two TOO big for a 5′ nothing woman. We still need to find a non-cropped photo, but in the NA version, we can see this blue ‘top’ could be a dress from the seams over the shoulders– so far, just a ‘guess’, but it’s more dressy than a regular T for sure with the cut of the neckline, especially the back neckline.

There is a ‘cord’ down the dark object in the top left of the NA version (drapes maybe, or another piece of furniture, and this could be a lamp on top of a dresser possibly.

I’m guessing that this top might point to Jesse– if she was aiming at Jesse early on, with her calls to him, with her visit to his place for ‘a shower’ (visit to his bathroom), and the call where Jesse thought he heard Caylee, and many other calls to his number etc, this Caylee top might have been related to Jesse too, including the location of this photo.

(NA headline reads that points to Casey’s guilt, but they may be avoiding what the defense wants to REALLY give them as a dambuster later on in their defense– let the people continue to think she’s guilty, helps out in the plan to move the trial away from Orlando and away from Judge Strickland with the reputatation of being a tough judge as per Cindy)

    MOTIVE …

BRAVO! I agree with most of it, however, at the same time I still have a few issues with it almost appearing “like she did Caylee a favor” in taking her out in that way and here’s why …

If Casey really did kill Caylee to finally break free of Cindy’s control, which I can kind of see, there would still be some sort of remorse/guilt-association in the process leftover and so far I have seen none of that. Kind of a “rock and a hard place” kind of feeling/reaction. But if Casey really did come to the conclusion that Caylee was “better off” without Cindy and at the same time Casey would finally have her independence and own life away from Cindy in the process, I would think if she ever truly loved Caylee as she’s stated even so, there would STILL be some sort of emotional reaction after-the-fact, because “even though I’m at my wit’s end with my mother and need to break free from her, I can’t bear the thought of ever harming/murdering my daughter in order to get that” mentality would win out, know what I mean?

So if Casey actually convinced herself of both (better for Caylee, better for Casey too), the one thing I still can’t get past is “Then why has there not been one iota of grief from Casey in regard to Caylee in what she felt she had to do?” Yes, she got her freedom, yes Cindy would’ve been hurt in the process too (double whammy win in Casey’s mind), but in the process, at the end of the day, she still lost her daughter who she professed to have loved. So where’s the grief process from Casey? Where are all the tears she just can’t help in knowing her daughter’s gone at her very own hands? Regardless of her reasons for doing it, even if the person really believed it was best, they would still be grieving the loss … not out partying, getting tattoos, lying, eating everything in sight, etc.

The only way grief wouldn’t be a factor? If you were so full of resentment/hatred at your child and your mother for being involved with your child that it was a way to get back at your mother for something she did to you (or didn’t). Getting the control back in other words. If the main intention was to hurt/punish Cindy then no guilt/emotions need apply other than the hatred. Motive accomplished.

However, if she truly loved her daughter but also had a need to get away from Cindy’s control minus the string that always pulled her back (Caylee), in actually removing Caylee from the picture, I would still think there would be some hint of loss/grief/sadness/devastation there as a result that loss, regardless of how it happened or why. The means justified the end but not perfectly because she still lost her daughter … in order to have freedom, she couldn’t have both. Still a major loss … so again I ask, why no grief process? My feeling is because she genuinely had no attachment to Caylee as she alleged to have had, hence no loss once she was gone, purposefully or not.

“I understand what you are saying about the Anthony’s. I agree zipping it would be helpful to themselves, Caylee, and Casey but I still doubt that we’d be happy with their behavior regardless.”

I don’t think that there is a great deal of happiness anywhere in this case. The Anthonys, had they listened to Mark NeJame, would have had the sympathies of the entire country, to this day. They have made the fight for their daughter’s life more difficult. They have made her look guiltier. But, if convicted, Lyon no doubt, will use their behavior as a mitigating factor. How could anyone survive those types of antics 24-7 and come out okay at the end of the day? I feel very sorry that they lost their grand daughter. I feel sorry that they have to deal with the suspect being their daughter. I even feel a bit of sympathy for Casey. But a lot of peripheral people have been harmed, with intent it appears, and that’s not okay.
My personal opinion, if Casey could cop to what she did, and show remorse MAYBE she could be rehabilitated and get a shorter sentence. But she won’t, if you can gauge her potential behavior based on the Anthony’s “deny/deflect at all costs” MO. I am not a proponent of the death penalty, in general, but with some exceptions. I couldn’t be a juror on this case, so I am not a person that wants to see her ‘fry’, or get revenge. I think people get angry when they feel that they are being treated as unintelligent. The Anthony’s statements frequently ‘go there’. When they have no compunction at casting suspicion at ANY others, that is what drives people’s ire. But, what’s done is done. I don’t think anyone truly expects them to say their daughter is guilty, but some of the other nonsense is crazy. They should stay quiet and take more trips, in my opinion.

  36. suz says:

justice23, you could be right but I always figgered that since Casey’s M.O. was to run out of gas all the time, Geo brought the cans just in case—and of course it turned out he was right to do so. Perhaps this kind of thing (sans towing of course) had happened before with the always-broke-despite-her-job Casey?

  37. westsidehudson says:

    # 723_ Justice”If Casey really did kill Caylee to finally break free of Cindy’s control, which I can kind of see, there would still be some sort of remorse/guilt-association in the process leftover and so far I have seen none of that.”

  39. Tommie says:

Regarding Caylee calling her baby doll “Mama”: I think sometimes little kids think the names of people (or things ie the doll) are what those people call “them”. For example…one time I asked my 3 yr old nephew what is dad’s name was, and Kyle answered “My Son”. “My Son” is what his dad calls him. I thought that was really interesting so then I asked Kyle what his big brother’s name was, and he answered, “Little Squirt”. My own daughters never did this, which is why it stuck out in my mind. I’m figuring maybe Caylee named her doll “Mama” because that is what in her mind the doll would call her. I hope that makes sense!! LOL!

  40. hk says:

I agree that Cindy knew more than she is saying and knew much sooner.

But did she really know that Casey had killed Caylee?

If she knew this when she wrote the Jul 3 MySpace entry, when they picked up the car, etc… why did she ever decide to involve police? What happened the night of her 911 call?

IF Cindy knew prior, something made her so mad that she decided to quit covering for Casey.

I wonder if perhaps Casey did tell Cindy that Caylee died. But she made it seem as if is were an accident or a crime of passion (and probably blamed Cindy in the process.) Based on this, Cindy agrees to help cover it up to keep Casey out of jail. Then as the days pass, Cindy watches Casey’s actions and finds evidence on her own that reveal it was no accident at all.

At that point, Cindy is forced to keep covering for Casey lest Cindy have to admit to LE that she didn’t come forward from the first day she discovered Calyee’s death.

It would explain a lot to me.

Then again, all those pieces aren’t fitting either.

  41. suz says:

justice23, so do you not believe that Tony or someone saw casey watching the father’s day video and crying, or waking up in a sweat with night terrors? Cuz that seems like it could show a modicum of remorse. But the rest of her behavior? Ice cold.

From what I’ve read every time Casey did go out her mother called her to come home and spend time with her daughter or to bring her daughter home. Cindy wanted total control. She wanted Caylee AND she wanted also Casey to be home too (or Casey to be there to show her how a good mom acts). I had to be frustrating. Not an excuse but maybe a little insight.
