BREAKING NEWS

Orlando, Fl– In the recent depositions by the State Attorneys Office in the case against Casey Anthony one common exhibit was noted in each deposition of George, Lee and Cindy Anthony.

A cropped version of a photo of Caylee wearing the tshirt that is believed recovered with her remains.

CoverofGlobe

All 3 Anthony’s claimed to not have seen this picture before previously, although without being prompted, Lee noted the photo was cropped.

How then, did it get in the hands of The Globe? Could this be the evidence removed from the Anthony home that Jose Baez tells Cindy Anthony to “Zip It” during her testimony and objects to information he considered sealed by the judge?

This edition of the Globe was released October 8, 2008. Six days before Casey Anthony was indicted for murder and remanded to jail without bond.

THE SALE OF THIS PHOTO PRE-DATES THE RECOVERY OF CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY FROM THE WOODS OFF SUBURBAN DRIVE.

One could make the leap that the person selling it would have had knowledge of what she was wearing when 34 month old Caylee Marie met her tragic end.

(EDITORS NOTE: Don’t even try the picture was sold at the yardsale with the clothes and laundry bag– PUHLEASE..)

Blinkoncrime.com poster “Justice 23” contributed to this report.

To the poster upthread who asked about a keypad on the A’s garage. In one of the state depos just released it was stated that yes, in addition to needing a key for the side door, there also was a keypad. So Casey could have used that if she didn’t have a key. She probably even had a remote garage door opener, don’t ya think?

Cindee… when I hit the refresh button at the top of the screen, it automatically brings me back to where I left off at the end of the thread. Your computer doesn’t do that?

    It’s just RIDICULOUS!!!

Gypsy, I have been wondering if that offhanded question about the Tiffany ring might have some bearing at some point. However, I haven’t heard/read anything further about it.

Was your mention merely a supposition (as several of us are doing) or can you direct me to a place to read/hear more?

    TIA

#1353 seeme ~ don’t forget too that Casey didn’t even remember the exact date. She went with the June 9th date at first. Double Ridiculous!!!

I have often asked myself this question, I don’t think I would plea.

The Anthonys did have a key pad but I think George had hidden the key to the shed. I was reading the “timeline” and a few things occurred to me. There are very few calls to Casey’s phone from Cindy between June 15-24. I think the gas can incident sparked the first lengthy conversation. I think Cindy found the teddy bear around July 3, sparking more interest in finding Caylee.

  8. TOY says:

Too much “thinking” time today which sometimes leads to some unusual thoughts. I was so in hopes of having the docs to read today while I had some lazy time to slowly read.

Since I’ve read the new posts to date, I started back rereading some earlier ones. What caught my interest this time was the two stars that are “lit” on Casey’s tatoo and the conjecture that it means Caylee’s age.

Granted, only Casey herself really knows the meaning (if there is one) for the two “lit” and one “unlit” stars but I had a different take.

In the parallel universe in which she wants so badly (it appears) to have her own “family” (opined from her nesting so quickly with each boyfriend), could the lit stars represent Caylee’s father and Caylee while the unlit star is Casey? Perhaps a far-fetched theory but I would bet that Casey does fantasize about the “what if” she’d married Caylee’s father…assuming, of course, that she could identify him at some point. (Probably quite a stretch…I would prefer the docs to my random thoughts.)

To whomever it was that posted about the gas cans thank you for clearing that up for me. Geez, I didn’t know this and I thought I was on top of things. I only heard GA version. How did everyone arrive at this theory that GA lied about that whole scenario?

I started there. I never believed his account of June 16 or 24th. I am short on time

  10. suz says:

Ada, are you sure the last dump (not the depositions, but back with the famous tattoo photo) was not 1405 pages long? I think it was, because although Blink’s article links to some of the broken up versions of them, some folks in the thread talk about going to the huge 1405 (I think it is) page file that is like 300mb and takes awhile to download.

And you are correct that I did not mean page 1405, but I do believe it’s in there somewhere. What I recall is that early on—in the very same document—is where we see the note about the porch rug Q245 “lighting up under an alternate light source” and then I recall reading through the rest of it mainly looking for duct tape info and running across a finding from the lab, a one liner, that said something like “Q245, no signs of decomp found.”

Now, since there are tens of thousands of pages of discovery, and I do go back and forth through them looking for stuff, there’s a chance I found it elsewhere, but I am 99% sure it was in the tattoo dump.

I shall keep looking (as soon as I finish up for a deadline, or when I need a break from my deadline, hee hee). I looked backwards from about 1300 to 871 and didn’t see it pop out at me, but i swear it is there, somewhere, on a page with the findings from other items. I don’t think it’s in the handwritten notes–I can almost picture it.

Just reading Cindy: Page 87 lines 12 through 22.

D.B. Caylee sleeps in something that was her favorite:

Well she had a T-shirt. (Spiderman x2). Now if you think
for one minute they did not let Caylee wear a T-shirt with
writing on it I say B–S—! I know when my daughter
was little she loved to wear just a T-shirt for P.J.’s.

  12. suz says:

Nosey Rosey, yes, I think you are absolutely right that casey gave nary a thought to the police, and was only concerned about snowing her folks as she had successfully done so many times before. After all, if she fooled them, no one would be the wiser (unless the body was found, which I have to admit seems like it was really unlikely to happen for a long while).

I do wonder how she was going to explain the whole “oops, I borrowed some money from you” thing to Amy, though. I guess she was just going to wing it after the Casey-endorsed checks came back to Amy.

  13. TOY says:

Sheesh…I am going to withdraw a previous theory I “sorta” wondered about.

Casey’s searches for the infamous topics were in March while her interaction with the new “gangsta” culture doesn’t even begin until May.

I no longer believe the URBAN DICTIONARY would have been the types of terms/definitions she was searching.

Not that I figure any of you necessarily bought into that conjecture but I do like to correct my statements (whenever possible) when I (or others) prove me wrong. The timeline just doesn’t match up for a less sinister search.

Another question for Florida residents (and thanks to whoever answered about the driver’s license photo):

When the seatbelt law passed in my state, it was explained that drivers would not be stopped just for THAT reason. However, if there was a stop for any reason and seatbelts were not in use, tickets would be issued. Is it the same in Florida?

I ask because of the ticket given to AD for seatbelt violations (notice plural) in May.

    TIA for the info

    Suz
You were right or pretty close. The rug is Q209 on page 10319, but I still can’t find the test results.

  16. suz says:

Steph, yes, it’s possible they hid the shed key from casey but neither lee nor cindy nor george mentioned it in their depositions when talking about the keys (I thin they all talk about the shed key, but am I mistaken?)—and Lee never seems to hesitate to blurt out things like “well, I knew where the shed key was, but we, you know, the family hid it from casey, you know what I mean? (laughs).” Of course, that doesn’t mean they didn’t hide it, but geo seemed to think i was in two places: a toolbox or some kind of utility box, and also in his dresser drawer.

I guarantee you as soon as Geo and Cindy went to work, Casey was all over their room opening drawers and searching through pockets for money and other goodies. So I would think she would know where the key was. But…who knows.

So I am still officially puzzled about why george called the cops on june 24, and why casey broke the lock instead of using a key.

OH, and Steph, do you think she just left the car at Amscot, or legitimately ran out of gas? I am in the ‘ran out of gas’ camp since the car seemed to actually be empty at the tow yard and LE tested the gauge and found it to be working, but I know others think differently.

  17. suz says:

Yippee, keep going, ada! I think the rug has two numbers: the OCSO evidence number (which I think is Q209) and then the FBI evidence number, which I think is Q245. But I could also have it backwards.

I can picture a page with a series of indented, typed paragraphs, where the findings “no sign of decomp” are in italics, maybe bold italics at the end of the para. Or, you know…could be totally different than i recall, lol.

    WSH,
Loved your comment. We do sometimes argue with ourselves about this case. I have never followed a case in such detail. Of course, without the Sunshine Laws of Florida, none of us would know as much as we do, we would all wait until the trial. One of the interesting things about this case is that it is taking so long. Baez would have done better by his client to have a speedy trial. Finding the baby in the swamp only helps to ensure a conviction. The defense would have sung the Caylee is alive song to the end. I believe that Casey really did envision herself the victim, the mother of a missing child and the sympathy that comes with that.

Hi Lee: and while we are wondering, I wonder if that is more evidence that Caylee was killed at home.
    ======
i think they took the rug from the back porch but didn’t find anything. can’t remember if anything else was in the docs. imho the baby was killed at the house and it was most definitely planned. too sad.

    Lee’s depo – July 30, 2009
Exhibit 2 – cropped photo pg 385 of Lee’s depo
Exhibit 3 – screen shot of Jean’s MySpace page pg 386 of Lee’s depo

pg 365 of Lee’s depo (pg 366 on the PDF copy of transcript)
Q Okay. Did you delete pictures off of any accounts?
A I don’t believe we physically – or, no. No. No. We did. On like, her MySpace page, there isn’t a
    pg 366
way to just stop, you know, the pictures from posting. You either – they’re either up or you delete them, so we just – I just deleted them. You know, because we were turning all the pages into pages about Caylee, not about, you know, Casey. And besides, the media was using it to pull pictures off of it, so we just – just deleted all those.
Q Can you print before you delete?
A Yeah. Sure. Why not. Yeah.
    Q Right
    A Absolutely.
[Whereupon, Exhibit Number 2 was marked for identification.] (cropped photo)
    BY MS. DRANE BURDICK:
Q I’m going to show you an exhibit marked 2. [Handing]
    A Okay.
Q Have you seen that picture before? [Handing]
A Was it always zoomed in like this? Or is it like a portion of a picture?
    Q That’s all I have.
    A No. I – [examining]. No. No. I haven’t.
Q I show you that to ask you if that’s something that you saw on one of those pages that you may have ultimately deleted off.
    pg 367
A No. This – - this picture or this being a part of a picture is not something that I recognize. This is – - I don’t think I’ve ever seen this image of Caylee like this before.
Q Do you believe that to be Caylee?
    A Yeah. This is Caylee.
Q Okay. Did you change the passwords after you got the timer55 so that no one could – -
    A We left them for – -
    Q – - access it again?
A Yeah. Like, obviously I did it before the video visitation. I think we left it the same for, like a day or two. But, yeah. Eventually I changed it. I don’t even remember what I changed it to, but we changed it to something. Right.
Q Does she still have a MySpace page that – -
    A Yes.
    Q Could it be accessed?
A Yes. I don’t know who’s really using it right now, if anybody’s even signing onto it any more. I don’t know, but I’m pretty sure it’s probably private and all this other stuff, but – - but I know she has one.
Q Have you checked it recently?
A Well, and, yeah. That’s what I was going to
    pg 368
say. The reason why I know she has it because I just signed on to MySpace maybe two weeks ago for the first time since, like, January and Casey was, you know, I told you top friend thing. She was, you know, my number one friend on there. And I was, like, I just said, you know, we’re not using this page – - or, no. I take that back. There was, like, an old – - an old bulletin or something like that that says, you know, this account is no longer going to be used, or something like that.
    Q Um-hum.
A So I was just, like, well, this is kind of pointless of me keeping it on here. So I just – - I just removed that as a friend. But I’m sure it’s still up or I know it was at least up about two weeks ago.
Q Have you ever received a threat from anyone associated with your niece’s disappearance?
    A No.

pg 371 of Lee’s depo (pg 370 of 420 on PDF copy of transcript)
FURTHER DIRECT EXAMINATION BY MR. GEORGE:
Q The picture that Ms Drane Burdick showed you, have you ever seen that shirt before?
    A That’s what I was looking at. I don’t – it’s too pixelated and zoomed in. I’m color blind, so I’m assuming this is pink? I don’t know. I – I — it doesn’t stand out to me. I don’t –
    Q But the lettering.
    A And that’s what I’m – it’s hard because it’s pixilated, I don’t know if that’s a “C” or a “G”, you know, or an “O”. It – it doesn’t stand out to me.
Q Did Caylee have a lot of shirts with writing on them?
A I don’t – I don’t know. I don’t think I would know it well enough. I mean, most of the popular stuff nowadays kids, the youth in general is to get, like, something with a witty, you know, comment on
    pg 372
them. But I’m even trying to think when I would have seen Caylee wearing something like that. Most of the time it’s like a sequins, you know, or it’s got a pattern on it more than letters. So –
Q But that particular picture you can’t say you’ve ever – you’ve ever seen her wear that shirt before.
    A No.
Q One other thing I forgot to touch on. When you – when you were renting the other residences –

Casey Anthony: George, Cindy attend Somer Thompson’s funeral

More than a thousand people attended Somer Thompson’s funeral today in Orange Park.

“Some familiar faces showed up to show their support,” WFTV-Channel 9 anchor Martie Salt said.

WFTV reporter Ryan Hughes noted that those attendees included George and Cindy Anthony, whose daughter, Casey, is charged with the first-degree murder of her daughter, Caylee. Mark Lunsford, the father of murdered Jessica Lunsford, also attended.

WESH-Channel 2′s Amanda Ober said the hour-long service for 7-year-old Somer was simple. “The pastor told several stories about Somer and what a joyful child she was and tried to offer comfort to her family,” Ober said.

WFTV’s Hughes said, “The pastor remembered Somer and celebrated her life. He encouraged mourners to laugh about the good memories as a child would. Then they sang her favorite song, ‘You Are My Sunshine.’”

As for the hunt for Somer’s killer, the Clay County sheriff has no suspects and said the crime may not be solved quickly, WFTV’s Salt reported.

#1331 What an honor to be so personally addressed, Silvrspnr! Thank you, and please forgive me not only my ignorance, but also for being so rather hurried this morning that I failed to make clear my train of thought involving the MySpace page that was created by an alleged Zenaida (the one carrying the Dora image), and which would suggest that Casey, if in fact she created the page/identity, had already decided upon the name Zenaida before Caylee was taken from the Anthony home, on the 16th, and thereafter slain, as well as it would have preceded Casey and Tony’s trip to the same apartment complex Zenaida had visited within the same time frame.

Also, as has been suggested, if in fact Casey had a fake ID/driver’s license, under which she received traffic citations, and the name on that ID was Zenaida Fernandez or Gonzalez, that would also have had to be prior to Caylee’s disappearance, as the citations in question predate even Casey’s involvement with Tony. My question is, were it so that Casey is Zenaida, and has been for quite some time, and received citations under the assumed name, wouldn’t Morgan know or want to know this, inasmuch as it could be thereafter proven that Casey knew for a fact that his client Zenaida was not Caylee’s abductor, because the abductor Zenaida was Casey, herself? And would that not aid Zenaida’s case against Casey, for as much as it is that Casey has not exonerated this Zenaida but allowed her to continue to suffer such defamation?

Also, if Casey received these citations while using the name Zenaida, would that also not go far in substantiating the charges against her for murdering Caylee? Does none of this make any sence to you at all?

It yet makes little sence to me that while Casey and Tony were at the apartments seeking information on a rental that she came up with the name from a guest registry, if in fact she created the MySpace page under the assumed name, prior to visiting the apartments with Tony and seeing the name. That’s what I am attempting to clarify, in light of the Dora site.

Again, thanks Silvr and of course Blink.

Thinker, I dunno, isn’t the nice lady in the racy poster wearing a bikini, and didn’t caylee go to the beach in FL where she saw all kinds of women (and men) in all kinds of swim wear?

I don’t think the kid should spend any time in strange bedrooms—that’s bothersome—but posters of bikini-clad women, or trips to the art museum with nekkid statues for that matter, those things don’t trouble me.

  32. Marcy says:

#1333, Nosey: I am certain that Casey never once thought this whole business would go to the police, ever. Cindy turn in baby Casey? Never, never, ever. That’s why Casey’s story was such bulls—.

Casey thought she could outsmart Cindy & tap-dance one step ahead of her mother. After all, she always had ~ except that Casey was too dumb to realize that Cindy just did not want to rock the boat. Casey never fooled her.

And I think Casey honestly believed the cops would merely say, “Well, little lady, you drive safely now and get on home. Let us know if you hear anything about your little girl. Meantime, we’ll keep an eye out for her. Have a good night.”

I honest to God believe she figured that’s what would happen once Cindy (unbelievably, to Casey) got the police involved.

…. all I can say is, thank God I’m not the only one SNARKED! :-

  34. Sal says:

First of all “take this to your leader”……priceless!

    Now on to my comment:

I have often wondered what will happen when reality sets in for all of them (Casey, Cindy, George and Lee). What will happen when the defense DOES NOT pull a rabbit out of their hats at trial. There will be no A-HA moments that the defense will be able to “produce” (b/c that’s all they can do is put on a show) and when it’s all said and done they will have nothing but the ugly truth staring them in the face……your daughter MURDERED your granddaughter.

When all the evidence is laid out and each piece points closer and closer to Casey until there is no other logical answer other than your daughter MURDERED your granddaughter, what then? Reality is going to steam roll that whole family.

With every tick of the clock reality is slowly creeping up on them. My suggestion…..start to turn around now and be ready to face it when it gets here. Because IT IS COMING and no matter how many lawyers Casey has or how many TV interviews that you give you cannot change the truth of the matter…..your daughter MURDERED your granddaughter.

  35. Kleat says:

Marcy– a thought from your idea of Casey presuming the police would not be called. If Casey told Cindy ‘don’t do it’, there are threats, I am worried about Caylee, (forget her admitting she’d done anything to cause this situation) we can’t call police under any circumstances, Cindy may have tried to work within that concept and maybe she could not and explain a missing baby later to friends and family. They had to work something out, call authorities– no choice.

Otherwise– Casey might have got away with going on forever with an ‘ unexplained missing child’. Maybe Cindy realize logically it could not work out, although maybe you have a point– Casey maybe had a belief that she would be protected against all evil outsiders again by her mother. (as with school councillors, teachers etc etc)

The Thompson family are so normal in their sadness and grief for Somer it only illustrates how disgusting the Anthonys are with their lies, combative attitude to LE and evasiveness.

  40. Todd in Tulsa says:

Do you all think that it is going to be difficult to prove Casey created that account page?

  41. Todd in Tulsa says:

I wonder, throughout those 31 days, how many of them were spent trying to figure out what exactly to do with Caylee. I would have to think that this sort of case is almost unprecedented, being that the family members of the accused seem to go out of their way to cover any and everything out there. Did any of Scott Peterson’s family go on talk shows, cruises, and into full defense mode after the facts came out of his involvement?

  42. suz says:

kleat, I still think there would have been ways for the Ants to have caylee disappear from their lives in a way that would sound plausible to their family. Casey got a job out of state and took caylee with her. Casey is sharing custody with the bio dad (it’s a miracle! he’s alive!). Casey ran off with a military dude and is now stationed abroad (caylee loves Germany, she can already count to 70 in German).

I mean, they’re not GREAT stories, but they might have worked. Of course, it’s probably hard to think straight when you’re trying to cover up for a murder.

#1343, Todd: I would bet the farm the Anthonys will be selling their story to the highest bidder after this sordid saga is over. It is reasonable to believe that Casey will be convicted, so we can expect Cindy’s book on “How the State of Florida Railroaded My Precious Daughter into a Guilty Verdict.” (Ghostwritten by Dominic Casey.)

If by some bizarre chance Casey is acquitted, the book title will be “Told Ya.”

Todd, I’d say if the IP address matches the Anthony’s in that myspace creation, then NO, it will be easy as pie to prove it, or at least to prove it to the satisfaction of the jury. (It will of course need to reconcile with her whereabouts as shown by the cellphone pings at the time of creation, too, I reckon.)

  45. Gypsy DD says:

Todd..not at all hard to prove..they should have an ip address at the least…and they have the A’s computers, I think they also took Ricardo’s at one point..so I think that they have a file path and know where it originated. Just my opinion. Even if delted from the oringal computer I believe it would show up in unallocated clusters on that computer for that date and time.

I am reminded of the scott peterson case when I think of the dynamics of the anthonys!! so much like the petersons.
    scotts mother said:

As Jackie Peterson literally begged for her son’s life Wednesday, she was in tears and so was her son.

“I beg you to consider how he helped people, how he could do good,” Jackie Peterson said, adding that “we mourn for Laci and Conner. And we mourn for Scott. If you kill him, it would be a whole family wiped off this earth. It would be such a waste.”

where did we hear the word such a waste. In the casey case does anyone recall?

than this: Is this what the anthonys will be looking for?

While Scott and his mother cried, most jurors did not react, according to KCRA 3′s Edie Lambert. However, she did say that juror No.12 wiped away some tears. Legal analyst Jim Hammer said that may be enough to save Scott’s life.

The defense’s best chance is a juror like Juror (No.) 12 — a woman maybe who’s a mother on the jury, who can literally put herself in Jackie Peterson’s shoes, and say, ‘Oh my God! What would I want to happen if I were in Jackie Peterson’s shoes?” Hammer said.

and this is very well how goerge himself will speak after she is convicted and sentenced to death.
After court, Scott’s father, Lee Peterson lashed out at the media, accusing the press of lynching his son. When are you guys going to hold your next lynching?” Lee Peterson said.
I pray that justice is served for caylee as was for conner and laci.

Suz and Ada…I read about the rug in the FBI forensics report from a dump I believe was dated 10/9..It clearly said the rug was taken into evidence for blood, etc..as it lit up under the light. It never says that it was found to be free of anything..it was just there, as an item numbered, along with the plastic bags with yellow handles…Which I believe will also be a tell all for evidence.

I believe that Caylee was under the cement pavers/patio before George laid the new cement, to hide from the cadaver dogs.
