BREAKING NEWS

Orlando, Fl– In the recent depositions by the State Attorneys Office in the case against Casey Anthony one common exhibit was noted in each deposition of George, Lee and Cindy Anthony.

A cropped version of a photo of Caylee wearing the tshirt that is believed recovered with her remains.

CoverofGlobe

All 3 Anthony’s claimed to not have seen this picture before previously, although without being prompted, Lee noted the photo was cropped.

How then, did it get in the hands of The Globe? Could this be the evidence removed from the Anthony home that Jose Baez tells Cindy Anthony to “Zip It” during her testimony and objects to information he considered sealed by the judge?

This edition of the Globe was released October 8, 2008. Six days before Casey Anthony was indicted for murder and remanded to jail without bond.

THE SALE OF THIS PHOTO PRE-DATES THE RECOVERY OF CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY FROM THE WOODS OFF SUBURBAN DRIVE.

One could make the leap that the person selling it would have had knowledge of what she was wearing when 34 month old Caylee Marie met her tragic end.

(EDITORS NOTE: Don’t even try the picture was sold at the yardsale with the clothes and laundry bag– PUHLEASE..)

Blinkoncrime.com poster “Justice 23” contributed to this report.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. — Casey Anthony’s defense team scheduled its deposition of meter reader Roy Kronk (read document). He is the man who found Caylee Anthony’s remains on December 11.
Kronk will be deposed on November 19.

Regarding the smell.. Two months ago our van produced a horiffic smell. It was unlike a smell that we had ever smelled before. It smelled like something died in it, that was the only way one could describe it.

We couldn’t decide if we should roll down the windows and let it air out and risk flys and maggots or leave the windows up and try to clean the smell IT WAS THAT BAD. We have tried everything and although it is almost gone, you can still get a wiff of the smell. So we are going to have to replace the carpets.

The smell was caused by a leak in windshield fluid spout on our back window. We know this because of the water trail down the back and the carpet was wet. What combination of the wind shield fluid and the carpet or tire, or something else that made the smell is hard to say.

I mention this because I often thought about the decomp smell in caseys car every time I got in my own car but never saw the connection or relevance until last night.

You see…I drive a Montana Minivan, little did I know that a Montana IS A PONTIAC!! duh..
IMO it should be looked into

I have changed my mind about time frame for photo: (although dress sleeves could be photoshopped), I am comparing Globe photo to this site posted yesterday by someone here:
    http://www.cayleedaily.com/2009/08/pictures-of-caylee/

..and I think the image of Caylee on the Globe cover is the same as the top left pic on this site, with the dark spot under the left (her left) eye, which looks like a bruise (could be same bruise as bottom left), or a scab, in any case, perhaps a slightly earlier time frame, KC’s hair is slightly shorter than in June/July. Not as early as January (bruise in January was on right side).

On another point: Blink, if indeed both her shirt and shorts were not on her, but bundled into the package separately, it would explain KC comment to Tracy: …they have not even found the clothes she was wearing. But I do wonder why KC would have taken her clothes off.

  4. Kleat says:

Hi, I have NOT caught up to posts yet today! But quick thought on the shirt– IF Caylee’s body was not ‘wearing’ the pink shirt (I’m concerned about the ‘fit’ and ‘why’ it was there), then was she ‘dressed to go out’ at all? What top WAS evident at the scene, if any? Duplicate?

Back to reading as I have time… so much catching up to do!

Caught Silver’s morning post– thanks! That’s all for the moment, but Silver’s one comment about Cindy’s unplanned ‘admissions’ re: car/dead baby, it’s corroborated by Richard Grund overhearing a similar unintended statement that sort of ‘leaked out’ as he stood beside his wife as Cindy said this to Deborah Grund. (we have not read an interview of Mrs. Grund yet either).

I also agree that the lies started well before the 911– this whole thing is so incredibly ‘planned’ — that Globe photo, if not a complete ‘fluke’ of choice, shows just how much detailed planning and knowledge there really was– (the A’s don’t do anything without planning– like the ‘shorts’ video came out too, offered by Cindy to show Casey’s loving with baby side– ‘baby in the right pair of shorts’ that is).

(not even going to attempt to fully catch up at the moment– didn’t read here last night, but picked up a movie to watch that I’ve seen several times in the past– ‘In the Heat of the Night’– classic!!! )

Blink, anytime you feel my opinion is wrong, please delete it. I certainly do not EVER want to rock your boat. This site is one of the best ones you can post on without fear of attack or name-calling and those are the only ones I frequent. All any person has to do is skim through past comments on any blog to see exactly what it is the moderator is promoting. Easy. When I see innocent people viciously attacked for their opinions I just move along . . . who wouldn’t? But even though you’ve told me you do not want my opinion you have done it in a very respectful way. You did not start screaming at me and encourage other bloggers to attack me for it and for that I am very grateful. Peace.

Now, about this photo ~ I am going to have to start at the top and re-read because I am just not getting the significance. Why is it such a stretch to believe it’s a coincidence? What am I missing? I’m sure the answer is explained above so am off to start re-reading it all.

I will be interested to see if you still feel that way when your done- but respect that opinion just the same.

Don’t know if this is the place for it, but all the talk of Ricardo Morales has got me thinking back to when everybody in the Anthony family was telling OCSO that the last day they had seen Caylee was June 9. Casey stayed overnight at Ricardo’s on that date, and she later was trying to tell folks that the picture taken at his apt was taken at Zanny’s apt. Was Ricardo one of those who had a bus aimed at his bottom, too? Is he still on the bus waiting list?

Silverspn’r: I too would be interested to see how you would defend Casey, whether from the beginning or starting now with the evidence that has been released. This new stranger abduction assertion has me puzzled. What is Baez heading for now?

RE BLINKS COMMENT:Yes. I keep seeing people saying “Nobody is that stupid to sell this photo”. This is the oldest excuse in the book. That’s exactly why they thought they could. Remember the case of the crime novelist that murdered his wife and wrote about it previous to the murder albeit fictionally? His defense was why the H would I commit a murder exactly how I wrote, I would be the first suspect? Same theory.

It goes along with Baez’s theory of “why would KC dump the remains of Caylee near her home”…it’s along the same lines as this pic..coinky dink? Doubt it.

So I’m left to reading old transcripts and came across this quote by Jesse Grund:

EE: And this is completely speculative, but if something did occur where do you think she would put that child?

JG: Uhm, my first guess was the house. Uhm, but again, the house has obviously been searched. So it’s not there anymore. Uhm, you know uh, she knew that area of town pretty well. Uhm, but I think she would stay familiar and close to home, so any one of those little parks that’s anywhere close to her house. I never went to a park with her and Caylee before, though so. The only place I ever really went that was secluded for the two of us…

“So it’s not there anymore”??? Interesting choice of words.

#348 hk I’m not sure what the implication in this post is but I feel so badly for all of the Grunds. They accepted Casey into their home in spite of their reservations. They loved and cared for Caylee knowing that Casey lied about Jesse being the father. I was amused by the ‘stranger’ murder theory because I don’t know anyone stranger than the Anthonys.
Bottom line- the car smelled of human decomposition. There was a ‘stain’ in the shape of a small body in the trunk. There was at least one hair with a death ring on it. There were maggots and coffin flies in the trunk. The Anthonys duct tape was on Caylee’s skull. Casey lied about almost everything. Leave the Grunds alone!

I wonder if Casey took out a life insurance policy in the amount of $14000 on Caylee. That would explain some things and if LE knows this, it’s premeditation.

I am still working my way thru Cindy’s depo.

Pgs. 402-406 amaze me. Cindy just makes herself look like such an upstanding citizen. How many times does she allude to the polices’s incompetence? Many!

Pg. 407 Cindy says Caysee came and got “teddy” to sleep with cause comforted her while Caylee was gone. Weird alert!

I am sure Cindy’s nose is growing as the depo proceeds.

I thought is was humorous that Cindy was actually MAD at the officer that used Caysee phone to call all her contacts to see if they knew anything of Caylee. Wellllllllllllllllll I thought her whole goal was ONLY to get Caylee back…….then why be angry????

And before pg 428 Cindy says, “And I know she did not physically intentionally hurt her daughter and I believe with every cell in my body.” Weird alert again! Why not just say, “I know she would never hurt Caylee.” She is giving TMI. (Maybe that was a brief moment of what she really thinks……an accident.)

This one really bothered me this afternoon: Page 434 Cindy says, “…had to be a reason why she was lying so severly to me.” She tells everyone it is due to Casey’s life is in danger if she tells the truth…… (Kidnapper).

#1. Ummmm….Cindy is acknowledging how “severe” Caysee’s lies are. Red Flag!!!

#2 They are that sever Cindy becasue your daughter killed your grandaughter and then severe lie after severe lie after severe lie has tried to cover it up.

    Blink-
In a previous post you state that you believe “the shirt was not on Caylee but dumped with her remains”. In all of the pictures released by LE that I have seen, the collar of the shirt is intact while the remainder of the shirt appears to be in tatters. I have just pulled out my grand-dtrs Target circa shirts out (sizes 4T) and the collars of these shirts are reinforced so that they stand up better to being pulled off and on squirming children’s heads. The ones I am looking at have some synthetic fibers woven in to the binding- that seam that circles the neckline. I am thinking that synthetic materials would not degrade as badly as cotton fibers making the neck-line piece more likely to be found intact? I am sure there are forensic textile experts that know more about this. I am just making a suggestion here.

    *********************************************************************
Catching up on the posts here…..GO SILVERSPNR….You are on a roll and aptly stating what I have been thinking especially after plowing through the latest depositions and comparing their latest “stories” to their initial interviews with LE. I do not understand why they are covering for her.

I have an old friend who lost her three beloved grand children in a fire that was deliberately set by her daughter and son in law for insurance money. Her daughter and son in law are now both in prison and my friend went through quite a bit of grief and pain as she faced the loss of her grand children and came face to face with the complicity of her own daughter in their death. She had the grace and strength to sit in the back of the courtroom each day during the daughters trial to show support for the real victims, her grandchildren.

What is wrong with the Anthonys? At best their denial and pathological covering up for their daughters actions certainly falls into the category of Ugly coping/Ugly grieving. Or is it greed or have they just backed themselves into a corner with the manipulations and lies and they cant see their way out.

Please tell your friend her grandbabies are in my prayers, I cant imagine

Hi Bees, I’ve looked at only a couple of the early ‘family or Cindy interviews’ done early on last year when they were showing several photos of Caylee to supposedly help find her. Several are used, and used over and over– the one with the ‘drums’ at ‘zanny’s/ricardo’s’ apt, the one in the Eddie Bauer seat with doll ‘mama’, and they repeated with a few others.

It was interesting to note that the one of Casey with her baby, in what looks like a loving type photo, baby is happy, was never used, yet that would be a pose that a person might see a missing baby in– someone else’s arms, stretching out or away. Just a thought– wonder why they did not use that pink shirt photo, even cropping out adult faces, to show a good expression of the baby. Coincidence, maybe, but also, maybe not giving it at low cost or free to these early interviews, when they later could use it specifically on one source to publish for a bigger fee, to limit exposure to that one source, have it in print vs digital only and available to be raised in defense, later on

Notice the byline– implying a ‘bombshell witness’– the defense has said they have a witness from Equusearch who said body was not there, and the defense is often stating that they have proof, that the area was definitely searched according to a witness. So the story is tied to a defense theory on the same cover page of the Globe. Maybe a coincidence that this photo was not one of the commonly used ones out there, like the Rico apartment with drums, photo of Caylee, but it’s not a coincidence that the Globe story was also about ‘the witness’ who would drop a bombshell in the case. (I haven’t read the article– maybe that will reveal more)

Will be interesting to see how this unfolds, either way.

  29. Kleat says:

Randy, re: ‘Teddy’– on MSNBC interview video with George Cindy, Lee (I’m sure it was this one, just reviewed it recently), the family has ‘Teddy’— shows him off to the cameras as the Teddy that Caylee slept with ‘usually’.

But George or Cindy talked in depos, about the ‘limit of 3′ toys Caylee could have to sleep with– said Casey limited her to the ‘mama’ doll, the ‘Teddy’ bear, and one other– she had a choice of one per night IIRC.

So, they are emphasizing the ‘Teddy’ for some reason, maybe they just didn’t have ‘mama’ with them, maybe the police did at that time, don’t know. (btw, I find ‘mama’ a strange name for a ‘baby’ doll– could it be that she called the babydoll ‘mama’ because someone suggested it to her? BTW– what did Caylee call Casey? Mommy, mama… ??

On page 273 of Cindy’s Part II depo it says…..a week later after June 16th Caylee’s “Teddy” was gone. Because I actually had “Teddy” with me a few night because I missed Caylee so much.

Wasn’t the 16th last day any of the Anthony’s saw Caylee? So why does Cindy miss Caylee so much already? Didn’t she spend the whole week with her the first of June around her birthday?

    Oh Spindy……spin it, spin it!!!!

I have always felt that the story was hashed out and made up before the last 911 call on July 15th. Cindy wanted to report the car stolen at first, but the SO wasn’t quick enough to respond. That I think was part of their farce too. JMO..of course!

  32. Kleat says:

    Angela_NW, you wrote–
“On another point: Blink, if indeed both her shirt and shorts were not on her, but bundled into the package separately, it would explain KC comment to Tracy: …they have not even found the clothes she was wearing. But I do wonder why KC would have taken her clothes off.”

That is assuming that Caylee had clothes ‘on’ in the first place, and assumes George saw the two leave during the day– dressed for the outside. There is some reason to believe this may not have been so, as George states while he watched his Guy Fieri foodtv show that aired the day before and not at noontime on the 16th. (‘Comfort Food’ episode of DDD aired on Father’s Day, Sunday, as far as we know and maybe DDD was not shown on Monday in Orlando at all– wish someone could ‘comfirm’ that positively with the networks).

One answer to the ‘why KC would have taken her clothes off” is that she wasn’t dressed to be outside when she died (ie did she die on the 15th or another night>, or maybe the clothes were taken off so that other clothes could be put with her when she was dumped…’

  33. ada says:

    Sorry dee

  34. Steph says:

Ok I am still trying to understand the whole shirt being on the Globe cover. I am a little slow but I almost think it may have been some type of trophy for Casey. She knew the shirt was with the body. She had the picture when she scooped up photos to take to Baez’ office, and then when the Globe came calling did Casey insist this photo be on the cover?

If the shirt and shorts were dropped off at the site after the remains were dumped, then does that means Caylee was killed just wearing pullup or swimmer? Sounds like that would coincide more with the murder taking place at the Anthony home. Also no shoes found with remains. Did Casey realize this within the 31 days while she was partying and dump clothes by the bags so it would go along with her kidnapping story? Or was Caylee wearing different clothes when she was murdered, and they were taken off her and the clothes were disposed of somewhere else hence the “they haven’t even found her clothes yet”?
    signed confused.

    #349_Midwest Mom

I had a used car, with a similar situation, a few years back. There were actually leaks from outside of the vehicle through windows. It was a horrible smell, and it developed over time. Anyone who has ever experienced a flood, or visited flood victims (with soaked carpets) would know that it is nasty.

I have also smelled rotting animal carcasses (as most have) , and unfortunately, I have smelled decubitus with eschar, infections and dying flesh on cancer patients (sorry I should have posted a warning) . As much as the the carpet smell produced the gag reflex, (thankfully the vehicle is now in a junkyard), it did not remotely compare to other things that I mentioned. I can only imagine that a decomposing body is infinitely more odoriferous and offensive than any of the experiences that I have mentioned.

There was never any mention of leaks in the Pontiac by Casey or any other person (s). The decomp smell was preemptively explained by Casey as a case of “dead squirrels”; I don’t believe either team’s experts has recovered any evidence of that.

Hello all. I have been following your site since the beginning of summer and am not a complete Blink devotee. Thank you for all of the work that you do to protect those that cannot protect themselves.

A thought on the Globe photo, another poster linked the article which is written from the perspective of Ricardo Morales and includes photes of him with Caylee. Additionally, in an interview with LE, Ricardo admits to selling photos to the Globe. Wouldn’t it stand to reason that the photo on the cover was taken by him and was in fact one of the photos he sold to them in conjunction with his participation for the story.

No because his pics appeared with his story. This was October 2008.
In Cindy’s deposition, when asked about photos (sic) being removed from the home, Jose B has a hissy and tells Cindy to zip it, and that info is “under seal”.

    True.

However, I have developed a sense of logic application to the Anthony’s, specifically Cindy, when she is lying.

She is what I like to call “The overseller”. When asked about it, she first responds “I dont know where it was taken..”
When I analyze those statements where I know or believe it to be untrue, these are the most verbose and overkill as to the reasons the interviewer should believe her.

Point is, she always starts with the sledgehammer. In this case, that sledgehammer tells me that photo was taken on the sofa inside the Anthony home, and was retouched ( I have an extensive background in retouching of images for print) to darken the surrounding, but light enough to print. I have someone working on it with much more fire power than I, but I am pretty close to offering that as my opinion.

Welcome to Blinkoncrime.com CuriousGG, I love your “hat”, any relevance to Caylee?

Bees, I’m in your camp with the photo at this point. Sometimes a coincidence is a coincidence (though I like karma or fate better, lol).

I do love the outside-of-the-box thinking that goes on in discussions here—that kind of brainstorming is useful and sometimes yields some interesting theories that might just wash. I do tend to let my mind roam freely and then when i feel my theories are getting overly convoluted I ask myself: Is there a simpler explanation? (Sadly, Occam’s razor tends to yield ‘wet blanket’ outcomes that are not nearly as fun or interesting as the other ones).

BUT, with the long cast of dubious characters in this case, anything is certainly possible..!

Because when I’m reading LDB’s “uh huh” and “right” after each of Cindy’s answers, in my head she’s saying those really really sarcastically. Wish I could explain it better. But if someone looks you in the eye and tells you a bold-faced lie and you say “right” — you know that inflection in your voice? That’s what I’m imagining LBD’s voice to be doing. Almost like patronizing Cindy in a way, ya’know?

I thought we didn’t think the Ants got a real freakout until discovering something nasty in the yard on July 3, and we surely know that the decomp car on July 15 really sent Cindy over the edge so much that she got the police involved. But Geo files his gas can police report on June 23 or 24. So what is that about? He doesn’t hint to (ex) Deputy Cain that maybe if he wants to find the gas can perp, he should try to track down Casey.

So what do they gain by filing the police report? It doesn’t help Casey NOT look like a thief—just the opposite. Is it just that it puts George near the trunk of the car where he allegedly sees and smells nothing on June 24? Yet Geo and Cin are so mortified on July 15, I do believe that is the first time they were aware the trunk was involved in this crime. The car is not even left at Amscot until the 27, so…I’m lost!

I am probably missing something really obvious. Can anyone clue me in?

I am also confused by the gas cans, the calls to LE about them and the tape on them. I’m not getting something?

Maybe ‘someone’ saw the Globe photo (in October), knew that it had been sold by Ricardo, so then the ‘someone’ placed it in the area after the fact? (I’m going to disagree with myself like Kleat does). If that were the case, it probably wouldn’t have been as worn. Plus, there would have absolutely had to have been an accomplice.

    Blink –

You said earlier that you think the shirt was not on Caylee when she was put into the woods.

The photos from the discovery looks like the collar is separated from the rest of the shirt – and was possible that it on her and torn away.

Am I looking at it wrong?

It is possible, yes, I restudies the autopsy report, specifcially the anthropology, I no longer think she was wearing it at the time of her disposal, but I could be wrong. Trying to be respectful of the baby, kwim?

Not sure if I could leave this link but it is the article from the Globe. It has 2 very cute pictures of Caylee.”

soulsister, darn good find. Looking at how Ricardo is holding little Caylee’s hands with the drumsticks, and the expressions on both their faces, it appears to very gentle and endearing.

I wonder if that was one of his shirts CA is wearing on the front cover. She had quite the anger and resentment over their break-up if I recall, and I tend to believe Ricardo’s reason.

I believe that any thinking person might conclude that after the fact of a crime, there would be an attempt to remove or discard evidence. That’s all I take away from his statement. Although I could be wrong, and I don’t feel that I am an advocate for him.

What would someone store or contain Chloraform(sp)in or if it is bought commercially what type of container would it be sold? Ex: glass bottle, plastic or metal container? Surely, not a gas can. idk

If this case goes to trial, do you think the jurors would view the car and would it still have a odor?

If this info is somewhere else, just let me know.
