NO Detectives, I mean THE OTHER Zach Hopkins

Orlando, FL– Where did we first hear the name Zach Hopkins in the case of missing and eventually found murdered 34 month old Caylee Anthony?

He was the non-existent son of Casey Anthony’s former schoolmate, Jeffrey Hopkins. He was the non-existent grandson of Jeff’s parents who got the phone call from the Anthony home about 5 AM July 16th, and follow up from brother Lee that he did not believe his sister.

The other Zach Hopkins, who is not a toddler, is in no way affiliated with this case, is an actor.

Zach appears in this Video created for Blue Fish TV and launched June 14, 2008 in honor of FATHERS DAY.

Yes, it says what you think. A duct tape instructional releases the day before father’s day, which is the last corroberated sighting of Caylee Anthony, starring a person with the misfortune of having the same name of an alleged witness in the investigation of her disappearance/ murder.

What are the Chances?

Actually, higher than you think. The video was produced by Blue Fish TV.

Blue Fish is a production company geared toward “learning” videos with a Christian influence. By our research at blinkoncrime.com, this is a solid and best- in- class organization.

It is also an occasional past time of Disney World Resorts President, Al Weiss. Mr. Weiss is listed as an occasional speaker and author to Blue Fish TV.

Additional representation to the Orlando area include Rob Duford of the Orlando North Community Church and Isaac Hunter of Summit Church of Orlando.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source inside bluefishtv.com has confirmed that many of their videos have been filmed at Disney and UNIVERSAL resorts, Orlando, Florida.

Before you reach for the foil hat: Blink what does this mean?

It means someone was doing hefty research on duct tape, the Hopkins name, or knew of this production or someone involved very close to the time frame Caylee went missing.

Personally, I am of the opinion between June 16th and July 15th Casey worked diligently to retro fit her story, or “google-fit” as it were.

Recall that Cindy sat in the lot of Universal on July 3rd while Casey allegedly gave her this story and proceeded to call Ryan Paysley and ask him if he knew Casey and Caylee were in town, to which he replied:

..”No, she told me Caylee was with you at the beach for the week..”

In theory then, that means the first time Cindy hears the names Jeff and Zach Hopkins are July 3rd

Plenty of time for her to have seen this, and head back to the drawing board, and get her story down for her meeting with Detective Melich on July 15th.

LE went to the Anthony’s on August 6 with a search warrant. I think the results from the trunk were back then. When Caylee wasn’t home by her birthday, Cindy KNEW.

  2. Mayhem says:

I just re-watched the August 14 jail tapes. When Casey was initially interviewed by LE, she made the comment “I know my mom will never forgive me.” Then, when her mom asks Casey on Aug. 14 what message she wants Zani to hear, she doesn’t skip a beat to say, “that I forgive her.” The eerie subconscious talking there. That’s about as close to a confession as I’ve heard her make.

  3. DebbieDeb says:

IMO … Casey drowned Caylee in the home pool. She scooped her up and dumped her in the trunk of the car (hence outline of a child in the trunk – residue from the pool chlorine) to dispose of her body somewhere else. I had a pool and at nighttime, we’d throw extra chlorine in it so it would be crystal clear the next day.

Now, did she put duct tape on her mouth before or after she dumped her in the pool … I don’t know. I’m thinking perhaps Casey knocked Caylee out first (chloroform?) and was going to leave it as Caylee accidentally drowned in the pool but something went awry to have caused Casey to bound her with the duct tape. Maybe she did that and tossed her in the pool and maybe went inside for a little bit, did some packing or whatnot, came back out and retrieved Caylee’s lifeless little body from the water. I don’t know. Maybe Casey thought that the chlorine would act as some sort of agent to cover or stop the decomp of human tissue? I mean, chlorine IS bleach.

The outline in the trunk … does anyone know what was used to make it? Like, there had to be some sort of something to leave an imprint. Did forensics test fibers in the trunk? If I were to toss something in my trunk, I’m not going to get an imprint no matter how long it’s been in there BUT, during the summer, I had a sand castle thinga-ma-jig that I left in there that was wet from the ocean, and sure enough, viola – IMPRINT in the carpet 6 months later. I haven’t vacuumed it to see if its just sand that made the outline … I’ve been lazy. ;)

Again, this is all my opinion but somewhere in my mind, it makes sense. I just wish Casey, or any one of the Anthonys, would just come clean already.

    Blink – #99:

Thanks for your reply. It is amazing to me, the twists and turns this case has taken. Truly – I’ve never seen such dysfunction.

And, yes – you can bet your bottom dollar they knew what was going on down the street from their home during that critical time period. If they weren’t there personally, someone had to have passed it along.

The depths to which the deceit has run through this situation and family is unmeasurable. It defies all logic and all reason. There isn’t a day that goes by when I don’t shake my head in utter disbelief.

They knew something was very wrong early on – and around the 13th – they knew that “something very wrong” was that their beautiful granddaughter was gone for good.

A very odd statement that STILL stays with me is on one of the first jailhouse video’s where Cindy says to Casey “We forgive anything you’ve said or done.” And, Casey says “Don’t worry, I haven’t said anything.” I think that was the July 25 visit.

If no other statement ever came in at trial…those few words surely speak volumes.

    Incredible.

    Teri,

I remember somewhere that George has a police scanner. That would have alerted them to Kronks call and the police “investigating” the call. Anyone else remember?

Wouldn’t the radios of County employees be picked up on that as well? Do they have a secure frequency?
    B

  6. Marine Mama says:

I’m not sure but I’m trying to find where I read that.
It seems I remember one of the Anthony’s saying that they heard something on the police scanner and both Lee and George went to investigate????

  7. dddeerma says:

Midwest mom: There isn’t any real ambiguity in the two years of Caylee’s life. A friend babysat for a while, until she learned Casey was lying about going to work. After that, acc to George and Cindy’s first most believable statements, the two of them were the babysitters 99% of the time. Like most sociopaths, Casey kept her dupes compartmentalized so that they would not be able to cross reference the various lies she was telling to everyone in her life.

There was something hinky going on the week of Aug 11. Dom Casey visited the jail first and then the A family pulled an end run on Baez while Baez was in New York. Kronk was visiting the woods, Keith Williams was all over the woods and even Dom Casey was somewhere in the woods. Why all the activity? Yes, when Casey started right off the bat lying to George and Cindy in the jail video, when Casey isn’t upset about Caylee, Cindy knew Caylee was dead. Knew that Casey was responsible.

As I keep saying, the real question is why Cindy and her puppet George decided to go over to the Dark Side. It all goes back to the Father’s day argument. What did Cindy say or do that got Caylee murdered? This new duct tape film just adds coals to the fire for those of us who feel that June 15 jolted Casey into action which Cindy believes is somehow her fault.

Maybe Casey isn’t smart, but won’t some of you give me that she was extremely devious?

  8. Chelle Hess says:

As to the sexual abuse Casey claimed with Lee and or George or trauma from living with Cindy and the seizure Jessy reported.
Psychogenic nonepileptic seizures result from stressful psychological conflicts or major emotional trauma, often stemming from sexual and/or physical abuse, current or in the past, especially in childhood. Other causes include major life events such as death or divorce.
Accurate diagnosis of psychogenic nonepileptic seizures requires a high index of suspicion. Patients whose seizures are resistant to appropriate pharmacotherapy and who have a history of significant traumatic events, such as sexual or physical abuse, should be considered for further evaluation with electroencephalographic (EEG) monitoring. Other diagnostic clues are previous encounters with persons having epileptic seizures, frequent emergency room visits or hospitalizations for seizures, and a history of anxiety, panic attacks or depression.

Positive implications include: 1) AEDs, with possible untoward side effects, will not be necessary (unless the patient also has seizures that are epileptic in origin); and 2) with supportive care, involving psychological therapeutic intervention, events will very likely improve. Early diagnosis and referral to a psychotherapist, preferably one knowledgeable about psychogenic nonepileptic seizures and their treatment, will enhance the outlook for recovery. Goals of therapy are restoration of function with cessation of nonepileptic seizures. Medications may be indicated for associated depression or anxiety disorders. Stress management techniques such as relaxation exercises or biofeedback may also be of benefit.

Kleat–I think you may be right–Casey could be the family secret. Although Casey herself may not know it. I just reviewed the jail video from Aug. 3 that Wendy posted (thanks, Wendy) and am amazed at the questions that George does NOT ask. I don’t care how many times he has asked before this visit, these are questions that just cannot go unasked when your granddaughter is missing and your daughter should have answers. I noticed that he wiped tears the few times he did venture to ask for additional info, or when he asked Casey to confer with someone else about Caylee. Tears of absolute helplessness and frustration, I am sure…he knew when he asked what response he would get. A big fat whiny nothing.

He was also very careful to include Casey in every comment he made about missing Caylee, loving Caylee…like he knew he should not sound as though he valued Caylee more than Casey. Kid gloves, extra large. He is used to this.

  10. Marine Mama says:

    Blink,

While looking I came across a post from Sparkling that posted on your site. She has a scanner…this is what she says..

“I was learning this while lurking in the Sheddy case, I was listening to the police scanner. Lo and behold, I heard a very unusual disturbance call. LE was intereacting with squad and discussing this entirely inebriated female that was insistent she be transported to the hospital to be checked out. She was yelling and screaming like a banshee in the background and I thought to myself, this gal should give up drinking”

  11. Kleat says:

And to Jim Campbell and Tracey overhearing George’s apparently agitated statement that he was not going to ‘live this lie’.

    Now, what date was that?

Police scanners in the home, if George didn’t have one, surely his ex-cop friend who arrived to help with a missing child case, could have got his hands on one. And maybe a few other things too– for investigating ‘the friends’ of Casey– recorders of their own, when those same friends met together with the Anthony’s. (Cindy was a recording fool– remember her Mn’M depos, and how big her carry bag was (and what she put in the metal detector going into the courthourse for her state depo first day?– camera or recorder)

To my knowledge unless a frequency is closed, you dont need a scanner at all. We have a set of Motorola 2 ways with an 11 mile range we use for travel, the beach, etc.. I think it has a ridiculous amount of channels.

  12. Dave S. says:

Marine Mama, I think that you hit the nail on the head. I, will bet that George has a scanner and heard the call to investagate. He would also know the Police call signs for different crimes etc.

  13. Dave S. says:

Blink, as I remember there are different frequencies for police, fire, etc.

  14. Dave S. says:

No, anyone with a scanner and the right frequencies can listen in. I had a friend who had a police scanner.

  15. Teri says:

    Marine Mama –

Yes – I thought I remembered something about the Anthony’s having a police scanner. There is NO WAY they didn’t know that SOMETHING had been discovered back there.

Even if the Anthony’s went to search in the dead of night and never found “the bag” – they probably did see Caylee’s clothes. And, that was enough for them.

Such a true shame…all of this.

I cannot believe the love I feel for this little girl…and the anger and sadness I feel for the rest of the family.

    ugh.

Blink,I worked as a police dispatcher for a small town years ago.911 control center channels were always broadcast throughout the towns and village police stations on the overhead (as well as our local channel) . If any “sensitive” info was to be put out they would switch to a secure channel or send it via laptop that all police have mounted in thier cars or have them call the control center via cell. we usually were told in advance if any info comes in on case# … to use these other means of relaying info.

You mean blink you believe Cindy let that baby ,her own blood, lay in a ditch swamp for months? The apples dont fall from this evil tree,I hope Cindy knows this will never be forgiven,I knew Lee was scum for his actions but I thought …I dont know what I thought. How do you live with yourself Cindy Anthony?

I believe to her there is a difference in “knowing” and K N O W I NG. Meaning, she was not found, so therefore it was not true.

  18. Kleat says:

I’m going to ‘adjust’ slightly the view of Cindy’s reactions to Casey in the August 14th jailhouse tape– not as if she is learning that Caylee is dead, she’s hearing it from Casey’s own mouth– confirmed in those little past tense slips.

George would then also have heard about William’s call to police about the bag of Father’s Day stuff and children’s clothes. Was that bag ever recovered by police?

(Why would William’s toss it back, why not put it in a dumpster? Was he still worried about ‘evidence’?)

  19. ada says:

I am not sure about Casey but I think Cindy is mentally ill. I think that her need to be in the spotlight is so unhealthy. Attending the funeral was not a show of support for Somer’s family. She could have called, sent a card or flowers or made a donation. Maybe she is posting on these blogs or maybe not. If she is, it just seems so unseemly and I can’t imagine anyone encouraging that. Do you? I can’t imagine life in her shoes, but she would garner more sympathy if she laid low and stayed out of all media. There would be many fewer contradictions in her account.

  20. Kleat says:

ANY call of police into the area of the family home neighbourhood and would be an alert to a family with a missing child, especially heart-stopping if someone like George had some suspicions of what was in the trunk and with suggestions from Casey about ‘her’ (or ‘she’) as being close to home.

  21. R.L. Haley says:

CINDY ANTHONY showed up at the Somer’s funeral !oh my god the woman has no shame ,what a sick person so lost in the head and soul.

  22. Marine Mama says:

    Blink,

I KNOW you have connections! Find out if they had a scanner. If they did not own one..then Kleat is correct again..the ex-cop friend surely came up with one.
Geez!!!! I wish I could remember where I heard it. I know it was said!

  23. Kleat says:

Can you imagine yourself as a young child being not only tossed into a ditch or dump within a couple blocks of your very own home and your loving ‘parents/grandparents’ look the other way while you remain until you are degraded, decomposed, eaten at, dragged away, drowned, and the roots of plants invade your bones.

The ‘story’ may just be so ingrained in those grandparents, supported by Brad and Michelle (not Mark) so that they can no longer let their ‘plan’ go. IF that was Caylee in the woods all along, IF she was there (in their minds), that would be crucifying to live with that knowledge– and knowing it was a conscious decision to ‘believe’ as a way to help the daughter, doesn’t go far to what those grandparents as essentially ‘parents’ of this baby, will have to live with once this trial is over. (even if they get Casey home again– they have to live with what they have done)

BTW, could Mallory have had time to recover and/or remove George’s big binder before leaving the Anthony home as police arrived? Did she have time to talk to Lee before the knock on the door? (George said sherrif’s office didn’t have the binder– but what about FBI?)

I can’t imagine the best screen play writer coming up with a horror story as evil and twisted as this. I genuflect to all you who won’t stop until the truth is revealed. God speed and God bless Caylee and all those missing by loved ones.

  25. Dave S. says:

Well, anyone can buy a scanner at Radio Shack.

  26. Kleat says:

Marine Mama, thanks, but I’m not very hip on police scanners and such, nor on mobile radios, but makes sense about the Motorolas etc, because CB radios have been able to scan police and ambulance calls for years. But I doubt George would have been out of ‘tune’. Thank Blink, not me!

Orlando Police To Begin Scrambling Radio Scanner Signals
    Posted: 5:56 pm EDT March 10, 2008
    Updated: 6:16 pm EDT March 10, 2008

ORLANDO, Fla. — In about two weeks, Orlando police will operate in a form of radio silence. The public won’t be able to hear the Orlando Police Department respond to crimes using police radio scanners. The department is scrambling their signal and they say it’s to keep criminals from listening in.

Critics say they use police scanners to be a watchdog and not being able to listen will allow cops to become the “secret police” with less accountability. Law enforcement says its about safety.

Joe Mattern has been listening to police scanners for 30 years. He says they kept him safe when a wanted criminal on the run was taken down by deputies in his backyard. Mattern heard the crook was coming his way and immediately locked the doors.

“If I didn’t have the scanner, I couldn’t equip myself and better understand harm was coming toward me,” he said.

Police scanners are about to go silent. Starting April 1, Orlando police will encrypt its new digital radios. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will do the same thing by 2012.

The media listens to scanners so it can dispatch crews and get important information to viewers. Mattern and groups like Copwatch also use them to monitor police behavior .

“There will no longer be the ability to police the police,” Mattern said. “I think they are trying to minimize exposure to media regarding potential mistakes they make.”

Orange County Public Safety Director Mike McCoy said the goal is to protect officers and keep crooks from listening.

“You don’t want the public to know where your cops are all the time. That’s the genesis behind it,” he said.

Eyewitness News asked Orlando police why not only encrypt certain channels.

“So no one knows what our tactics are as we are coming up to the burglary or the robbery, because, like I said, the bad guys are listening too and they are using it to their advantage,” said Deputy Chief Karin Weaver, Orlando Police Department.

Eyewitness News checked and encrypting radios is not a violation of Sunshine Laws. Radio messages are not considered public record. After sitting down with both Orlando police and Orange County, they agreed to come up with a compromise so the media can listen.Copyright 2008 by wftv.com. All rights reserved. This is the first I heard about Cindy attending Somer’s funeral. I can see how the Caylee Marie boat came in handy. This woman strives to be in the press but plays the victim of unwanted attention. (I’m beginning to think this is a case of reverse psychology…media is our friend but don’t let them know it). Not unlike Cindy’s list at Caylee’s memorial, if my child went missing, found murdered GOD FORBID, the Anthony’s would be the first names on the ‘DO NOT ALLOW ENTRY’ list. I’m disgusted as I’ll get out.

Grieving my @$$. After this, she’s going to be insisting another cruise is in order.

  29. Ragdoll says:

If it’s already mentioned, my apologies, but isn’t Aug. 13 the jail house visit where Cindy puts her hand to mouth and begins to sob? Was that the ‘light bulb’ moment for Cindy….Caylee’s dead and Casey is the reason?

Thank you Blink a million times for all that you do here. Ive been meaning to say that for quite some time!

Kleat, Im still saying that you were right about the ex-cop friend being able to come up with a scanner IF George did not have one. lol

  34. Kleat says:

Wendy, thanks for reminding us about the ‘stars’ and the ‘family’ comments by Casey! Great, we all heard that before, but you’ve brought that probably long-lost little comment back to the fore for us.

“She is the very top point of that… ” quote Casey to her father, ‘she’ of course means her daughter, ‘Caylee’.

And Wendy, just prior to that, maybe around two minutes before 20 min mark, there’s something else very interesting that illuminate’s Cindy’s setting the Casey is good ‘stage’ that she talks about with FBI, as we have seen in Cindy’s ‘home tour’ with Greta et all-media who would bring cameras in.

    >>> ‘The Bible’. We heard Cindy say the next day after this video of George and Casey talk about how she wanted to give Casey ‘her’ own bible to have with her in jail. We see in the ‘Casey bedroom tours’, the neatly set Bible at bedside. Story– Casey reads ‘HER’ bible, keeps it at bedside, etc.

But what Casey says to her dad in this jail video around 18 minutes is quite a different impression.

Casey tells her dad that her mom brought ‘that bible’ to her…. she couldn’t have ‘that bible’…. NEVER once said that her mom brought ‘her’ bible, and she couldn’t have ‘MY bible’. This makes NO sense for Casey who is all about her and her wants, her things. And she doesn’t say she wasn’t allowed to have HER bible.

That was ‘that bible’ that her mother brought for her, she couldn’t have it but the jail had one for her, and she was keeping it on her bedside table (in that cell) so she would know where it is when she needed it. George said that she IS going to need to read it (adds, we all do).

Cindy set up the false impression of ‘that’ bible being ‘Casey’s bible’. Casey didn’t think it important enough to call it ‘mine’.

Blink,I can understand Cindy not wanting to not know. But what I don’t understand is how Cindy and George could be even remotely ok with D.Casey and the aggressive, disrespectful and dare I say scary way he was stabbing/pocking around in the woods. D.Casey says he was working for Jose, Casey and the Anthony’s. This tape does not evoke sympathy for any of them except for Caylee.

  36. Kleat says:

Ragdoll, yes, it is the Aug 14th video– that’s what I intended to say yes.

  37. Kleat says:

I once visited someone and all of a sudden their bedside clock radio, maybe ‘on’ low or playing music in the other room unheard, started to talk very loudly– we could hear it from the living room. They went in– it was ‘playing’ someone’s one side of a telephone conversation!!! When realized that’s what it was, they shut it off.

Someone’s cordless phone being ‘received’ on the common, simple, cheap radio! I’ve never been a fan of ‘cordless’ phones since.

  38. Kleat says:

RL Haley, yes, but then the Somer’s didn’t plan to have a ‘blacklist’ of folks to not attend, like the Anthony’s did.

That’s fine if they want to go, no one can stop them, HOWEVER, it’s the underlying ‘motive’ of going– it would minimally be ‘reported’ in the media that they attended, maybe be seen on camera AGAIN for their own purposes. This isn’t a far reach.

I wonder if the Anthony’s have also attended funerals for children who have passed in recent months, but NOT from some sensational case, just a personal tragedy, accidental death… have they gone to attend those and if not, why not when they go to the ‘high profile’ one. That’s what is questionable about their motive and good reason to question given past behaviours.

They are in NO position to help other families through a tragedy when they are still publicly denying it was ‘Caylee’ they cremated to keep up the sham. They must expect people to be skeptical for good reason.

  39. Marine Mama says:

My friend and I heard her neighbor in the midst of a drug deal..it came over her TV!!!! He was on a cordless!! And a again on the baby monitor!

  42. Ragdoll says:

136….Kleat…YES! That’s exactly what I’m talking about when it comes to monitors. In my brother’s case, a baby monitor! Telephone conversations were being picked up and as clear as day. He was amused because some of these conversations he knows would embarrass the H E double hockey sticks out of them. Cordless phones no less.

Blink-I have been following this case since the very beginning and am posting for the first time. I would like to thank you for such an informative and respectful site. All of the “armchair detectives” here are doing a great job of putting all of the puzzle pieces together. I hope LE reads here just to see if they are missing anything!

I have a question that I have wondered about for a long time and I don’t see much discussion on it. One night on Nancy Grace one of the experts, I think it was the good lookin’ bald headed guy, said that he thought the Anthony house was probably bugged. This was during the time that Casey was out on bond. What are your thoughts on this subject, and what incriminating information, if any, do you think may have been heard behind closed doors? The were sly enough to use “Bat Phones” but what about the house?

My thoughts are the house was bugged within 8 hours of the 911 call, or shall we say surveilled digitally until such time a more permanent solution was “installed.” They wrote things down or spoke outside. Point is, even Baez was coming over and turning the stereo up. I think the tip on George’s firearm “overheard” and forwarded to Sgt. Allen.

I was just googling something and ended up finding a thread on Scared Monkeys 9/24/08 where Clint H (room-mate of Tony’s until beg of July 08) answered questions on SM. Couple of points: he does not believe KC was drugging Caylee & leaving her in trunk on a regular basis – due to weather conditions he believes she would have perished 1st time that would have transpired. And he answers one question (about Tony & KC’s relationship) with the remark: “I did think that they were moving fast but no it didn’t raise any red flags because we all liked casey and liked caylee even more.” !! – Caylee even more!!! So KC was competing with Caylee yet again for a group of boys’ affections. Motive.

    Blink,

You have an amazing site. The people posting her are the most intelligent posters I have seen yet on this case. I am trying to get up to speed but have so much more to read.

That being said, I think Cindy’s plan is throw George under the bus to try to save Casey. I would bet money on a divorce after the murder trial. IMHO, Cindy is socking the money away to make up for all the years she has supported George and Casey. She has endured shame and humiliation – but remains enmeshed as a true co-dependent does. I think she had her own “aha moment”and is determined not to suffer anymore from their actions. She will have the means to dump George and give him a kick out the door. Lee is her sidekick. He’s not the mastermind- he’s the mouthpiece and accomplice. She is so fixated on getting her pound of flesh that she cannot see how this is disrespectful of Caylee. Therefore, much easier to believe Caylee is alive and displace her intense anger onto those who chip away at her defense mechanisms.

George has no choice but to support Cindy – he has to eat, doesn’t he? He has nowhere else to go and no means to pay his bills – because I bet all of the moolah is in HER name. He is expendable in Cindy’s eyes for what he has put her through. Has anyone else noticed how she has developed “Charles Manson eyes”? Serial killers are described as having “shark” eyes – on “48 Hours”, she certainly had them.

They do not realize that they “lost” Casey years ago and maybe never really had her at all. If Casey was such a good student until high school, something significant had to have happened to her for her grades to slip so badly. I would not disoount a rape – but not by George or Lee. I would surmise by a “boyfriend” or at a party while intoxicated. I don’t believe that she didn’t drink while underage. I could picture Cindy blaming her for the incident, especially since Casey was no longer her perfect “pure” daughter.

Casey has street smarts as well as above average intelligence with no conscience. She does not work and has plenty of time to think and plan all of her stories and actions. She’s no genius, but most people don’t think like she does and that’s how they get manipulated. Most of us give others the benefit of the doubt and look for the good in people. She trusts no one and is entirely self absorbed because of it. It is Casey against the world and Cindy for her survival. She is no different than Diane Downs and Sante Kimes. Many sexual abuse victims become promiscuous and use sex as a means to get what they want. Another possibility is the presence of an emerging Bipolar Disorder (over spending, impulsivity, hypersexuality, grandiosity, high energy with need for little sleep) along with an Axis II personality disorder. Not a good combo, but not enough to be legally insane.

The Anthonys are the epitome of an alcoholic family system. Substitute the addictions present in the family- gambling, compulsive spending, sex addiction, etc and there you have it. One common saying by co-dependents is “We lie when it is just as easy to tell the truth”.

Sorry for being so longwinded, but this is my psych nurse brain speculating.

Yep. If you have not watched the 8/14 jail visitation, don’t unless you went to feel worse.

    PDF

I know how to save the PDF. I just wondered if there was a way to excerpt or extract from it. I can cut and paste now, but basically it becomes an ‘attachment’. I don’t know how to extract parts & convert them into real text files. It would make it easier to pull parts of testimony rather then transcribing it over by hand, if I wanted to post them here.

WSH, sorry for the non-answer, but I do believe there is pdf to word conversion software or vice-versa.

    Anyone?

To the older ‘speculation’ on George and the family secret, and scenarios that fit Casey as the model of the abuse victim, also more than that possibly– I have NO expertise, not even a single course in the area, so this is NOT about predicting about Casey’s behaviours.

I think there is something extremely revealing in George’s statements to the prosecutors in his deposition of the summer, and if anyone hasn’t read it carefully, go over the section of the early life, up to and through the birth of Caylee, and George’s being away from the house, leaving the house. And read about Cindy’s viewpoints as given by George.

I believe that early on, if there were gambling or email scam money losses, that was NOT why George left when he did. I think George and Cindy were facing the prospect of being ‘parents’ again with the birth of Caylee, for whatever reason in regards to Casey, this seemed to be what Cindy was bringing onto herself via her daughter.

I wonder if George ‘knew’ that Casey was pregnant as she was showing– he had to realize this, but was part of the need to let Casey keep her lie up about never having sex (she might have been subjected to parental ‘drilling’ about being good, not having sex too early when she began to date and all that– but Cindy style).

It seems that George might have had a far different viewpoint about bringing a baby into the home, which is a huge decision, but a couple having their own baby, that’s one thing. A daughter getting help to start her new life with baby, is another.

What if Casey had serious problems of irresponsibility that George knew about, and that George was the one who had his common sense meter alerting him to the problems of Casey having a baby, wanting the baby in the long run, and had ‘other’ suggestions to the situation because of his serious concerns about Casey being a mother (Jesse fixed that to an extent– for awhile), but also, did George want to be a parent again? (as distinct from ‘grandparent’ role)

Was this a disagreement in position between himself and Cindy, as the many rift that caused either Cindy to tell him, go on your own then because ‘Casey and Caylee’ are not going anywhere? If financial reasons came into play, I wonder if they were not the main reason, but they would go to Cindy being the matriarch, the provider, and Lee also, provider by Cindy-proxy.

George told LE early, about the email scam– very early. That might be to cover his reasons for leaving the home and Cindy and Casey with baby after the baby was born.

George might have had other options, opinions, to be considered by the whole family, but would he even be listened to? Not likely if Cindy said we don’t need you.

There are also the often stated ‘priorities’ of hierarchy in the family– Lee to Casey, George talking about the roles and the ‘fingers’. Lee in his state depo about who in the family was highest ranked to lowest, with Mallory being last.

Lee talking about CMA as all three women in his life (also in his state depo– explained by Lee, revealing, if not the whole picture or even the right one).

I think George left because Cindy told him he was not needed and if he did not agree to be part of her family under her rules, her financial control, her decisions about bringing baby up, and most importantly, about Casey’s problems of competence to be a ‘mom’.

‘Mom’, ‘mama’, Cindy in her depo commenting on how, at the Anything but Clothes party, she thought Casey was the best dressed of anyone (was Cindy there?? Anyone??). And Cindy adds– Casey was ‘dressed like a mom’. WTH????!?

(yeah, the ‘Mama’ name of the babydoll still bothers me– even with all the explanations, no one in that household, progeny of the main momma, had their very own identity. Not even the little plastic and cloth dollie. (but the dogs did have their very own names– but not the CMA’s– no woman without a tie to the mother figure)

#119_ada_Controlling image, controlling info, spin, controlling….

She’s probably ‘enjoying’ the most control in as many years; one kid living back home, another literally under guard and lockdown (so she gets to present Casey in a manner that best reflects upon herself; while Casey is “muzzled”), a husband ‘in complete line’ with the program, and a lawyer on board that either can not ‘get through’, or simply acquiesces to demands regardless of the peril and contrary to most legal advice and thought.

To me it sounds exhausting, but for one who appears to domineer, I’d think that it would only ‘feed the need’. The more you have have, the more you have to have; control. Conversely, the less you have, the more you become insanely driven to attain it.

This source itself is questionable, but it appeals to common sense. I have found no clinical /scientific references for “overpowering personality”, except one noted in the 1800′s:

“Overpowering personality is both a psychological and a physical affliction. …. But complications often arise due to the physical repercussions associated with an overpowering personality, which has been shown to be highly addictive in nature. This addiction is caused by the hormonal changes resulting from the Fight-or-Flight instinct. When a person feels threatened, whether physically or psychologically, the body’s Fight-or-Flight mechanism takes over. A repetitive exposure to the Adrenaline produced resulting from these hormonal activities can be highly addictive. It is this addiction that makes the domineering behaviour one of the hardest to control, as the afflictions are both psychological and physical. The need to control one’s surroundings must be consciously relinquished in order to overcome a domineering behaviour.”http://www.marriagedivorced.com/marriagecounselingsitemap1.html
