Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Roy Kronk Fired For Undisclosed Reasons- Updated

Posted by BOC Staff | Casey Anthony,Caylee Anthony Case,George Anthony,Roy Kronk | Thursday 29 October 2009 1:20 pm

Orlando, FL- Roy Kronk, the infamous meter reader who after three attempts finally located the remains of 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthony, has been fired from his position as a County employee today.

Roy-kronk

Kronk failed to show up for a pre-determination hearing for the first step of an undisclosed disciplinary proceeding according to Orange County Utilities.

“Roy Kronk was scheduled to attend a pre-determination hearing yesterday to address issues pertaining to his employment with the County. He failed to show for the hearing, and a decision has been issued terminating his employment effective immediately,” the county wrote Kronk’s lawyer. “Therefore, the County shall not pay any legal fees associated with representing Mr. Kronk that are incurred from this point forward.”

Update#1 I received this email from David Evans, Roy Kronk’s Attorney.

I have received a number of inquiries today regarding the decision by Orange County Utilities to terminate Roy Kronk’s employment yesterday.  I am furnishing this statement on Mr. Kronk’s behalf.  Mr. Kronk is the Orange County Utilities worker who found the remains of Caylee Anthony.

The termination of Mr. Kronk relates to a difference of opinion between Mr. Kronk and Orange County regarding a workplace injury sustained by Mr. Kronk in the course of his job duties at an Orange County Utilities warehouse.   This dispute arose because Mr. Kronk’s management directed him to resume work duties after his injury, and Mr. Kronk and his health care providers did not consider it to be safe or medically appropriate to resume those duties at this time.

Mr. Kronk is evaluating his legal options relating to his termination.  In the meantime, Mr. Kronk is volunteering his time to a veteran’s group in Osceola County–he is providing counseling to military veterans to help ease their adjustment to civilian life.

David Evans

Update #2

Roy Kronk injured his kneck and shoulder while lifting boxes in the Utilities warehouse.

I thought that I would post the latest news on Gotti, this one being junior, for Jose Baez:

    http://www.1010wins.com/Mama-Gotti-Unleashes-Profanity-Laced-Tirade-in-Cou/5600288
Gotti’s Mom Curses Out Judge after 2 Jurors Dismissed
NEW YORK (AP/ 1010 WINS)  — John “Junior” Gotti’s mother unleashed a profanity-laced tirade after a judge dismissed two jurors at her son’s New York racketeering trial.
She accused the government on Wednesday of trying to do to her son what it did to her husband, John Gotti Sr. The elder Gotti was convicted of racketeering in 1991 and died in prison in 2002.
As she screamed out obscenities, calling those prosecuting her son “the gangsters,” Gotti tried to calm his mother down, telling her he would be OK.
The judge knocked two jurors off the jury after one of them complained about the other, saying she acted so childlike she wanted to spank her.
Closing arguments are expected next week in the 2-month-old trial.

What you say might very well be possible. I’ve been thinking that there must be some kind of a “smoking gun” that has surfaced – and they are wondering exactly how to proceed.

There are moments when I think a plea deal is in the works. Then, I come to my senses and realize that Casey wouldn’t go along with that. I think she wants the fame and the attention that the trail will bring.

She knows she is guilty – and is going down, either way. So – she may as well take her chances on a trial by jury – and relish those final few moments of fame.

Because, after the trial is over – all she’ll have left is her prison cell – and her memories.

In a sick way of her thinking! you may have a point there. but she is a fool to think that it would affect her parents for long. because now they have all that money to ease their concious and pain. All that would probably happen is that they would write a book and get richer do a movie and etc etc. they didnt mourn caylee much so whats to make casey any different.IMO only!!!

I just read this at the Orlando Sentinel sight. Brad Conway commenting on the tattoo’s George and Cindy got to remind them of Caylee. Ummm, are they all crazy in that family. Everytime I think they can’t do anything else to shock me, oops, here it comes again. What is this? Show support for Casey. These people have gone lower and lower and hopefully soon they will hit rock bottom. I have nothing against tattoos to remind you of someone dear, but i would not be flashing for anyone to see, like they didn’t know people would be taking pictures of them.

I’m sorry, but could they have not spent the time and money by donating to some charitable organization. They make me sick.

  8. Joan (Canada) says:

Oops, so upset forgot to post.

“The Globe” has obtained pictures from a cruise ship passenger who was on the boat with the Anthonys during a recent trip to the Bahamas.

George Anthony’s tattoo, on his upper left chest, is a little girl basking in the sunshine, a reference to Caylee.

Cindy Anthony’s tattoo, which is on her stomach, is a butterfly with the words “Caylee Marie” enscribed on it.

Brad Conway, the Anthonys’ attorney, confirmed to Local 6 News that George and Cindy Anthony got the tattoos in memory of their granddaughter.

The remains of Caylee Marie Anthony were found in a wooded lot in December. Caylee was 2 years old when she was reported missing about five months earlier.

Caylee’s mother, 23-year-old Casey Anthony, 23, remains jailed on first-degree murder charges in her daughter’s death.

Casey Anthony has pleaded not guilty, saying a baby sitter had kidnapped Caylee.

Watch Local 6 News for more on this story.

  9. Kleat says:

Joan, you know what might seem to the Anthony’s as a way to show solidarity with Casey– like joining her for a joint to show how cool they are, might just backfire. They now all have ‘Caylee’ memorial tattoos, the baby is reduced to a few cents worth of ink in a superficial commercial gesture that is more about Casey and support of her, following Casey’s lead in memorializing her dead daughter. It’s something that will sell to the tabloids, when the inevitable happens– they didn’t go on an Alaska cruise, now did they!?! Hardly the skin ops doing that and it would be away from the Florida press too– that’s no good! It’s selling sensationalism, those Anthony’s– what WILL they do next to fill our camera lenses and recorders.

What if Casey wants some individuality, her whole life has been, it seems, in the shadow of her CMA mother, and recently shared with her CMA sister–errr– daughter. Casey might be very annoyed that her parents would do this, once again taking the spot light from her, going on a cruise, having their very own cabin on board ship, night clubbing and entertainment, free drinks galore. Like her friends went to Puerto Rico and left her behind. The stress must be taking it’s toll, but if Cindy hasn’t ‘broken’ by now and if that’s what Casey wants, maybe she will just dig in harder to keep up with her self-control?

  10. Wendy says:

    Joan,

I have to agree that the Anthony’s seem to just sink lower and lower. I also agree they knew people would be taking pictures of them sporting their new tatts. However, I doubt it would be too far from the truth to assume that the A’s (as always) have some other agenda in mind. They ran out and got tattoo’s in remembrance of Caylee, just as Casey did. Or so they will probably try to say. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if they try to spin it that way somehow. As if anyone would believe a word they say, especially if they attempt to explain that “the beautiful life” is related to Caylee in any way at all. I suppose in this one case it could be, but not the way any of us would do it. What I mean is…..they will probably try and say that Casey got the tattoo, just as they did, as some sort of coping mechanism. As if…pfffttt

  11. Momof3 says:

I have to say I agree. The Anthony’s are unfathomable.

According to them the kidnapper of their granddaughter/niece has not been found.
According to them their granddaughter/niece may still be alive. Shouldn’t they be looking for the kidnapper?
According to them their daughter is unjustly accused. Why would they go on vacation while she languishes in jail?
Why would they spend money for diamond earrings and tattoos while their innocent daughter’s jail account runs dry?

Perhaps, a better memorial to their beloved granddaughter would have been a plaque inscribed with “You Are My Sunshine” and a sentence about bringing home all lost children placed at the site where a little child’s body was found(according to them NOT Caylee)JMHO

  12. TallyHo says:

    Kleat #359

I totally agree with you. Do you think that Baez would let Casey know about the cruise? Or does she have access to television so that she could have watched the coverage?? Because I cannot imagine anything that would pizz HRH off more than watching them with their new tattoos and bling soaking in the sun on the deck of a cruise ship. (Unless, of course, she finds out that they ate chili without her).

  13. JJ says:

I can’t help but think that the Anthonys were paid well for those cruise photos.

  14. Todd in Tulsa says:

350 blink, I am probably going to be eating humble pie for a while by asking this. Did you mean question as for how it relates to how I think there are some out there that believe she is going to walk away from this, such as Jane Winetraub defense attorney?

No, and maybe I was a little harsh, I am admittedly somewhat taxed on efforts in the Harrington case.

  15. Joan (Canada) says:

    #359 Kleat and #360 Wendy
After cooling down a bit, hitting the punching bag a couple of times, sat down and thought about it. Now, this may be way out there, but do you think the A’s maybe trying to push Casey to the limit to see if she will implode and maybe, just maybe will tell what happened to Caylee. As some have said Casey cannot be to happy about the cruise and the good life that she wanted for herself.

Other than that I am lost with the minds of these people. I cannot fathom how these people think? It is so out of the realm of reality.

  16. Sheri says:

Can’t understand WHY Brad says the tats were not expensive. Anyone with a tat knows they are ANYTHING but cheap. Georges for instance.. at least 350 if not more.. at least! Cindy probably 300 or better.. is this “not expensive” for them? For me.. it’s expensive…for most of us.. it’s expensive. I know I’m quoting prices low.. to say the least. Nothing cheap about a tat.. nothing.

Hello everyone. Hope your day is going well. Chica, is there really such a thing as a liver burrito and what is in it? Also, what is a “bug tale”. It is so quiet, i also agree with what others are saying that there may be something BIG coming up or maybe that pesky plea deal. But i also wonder if Casey would give up her fame and hurting parents more by taking a jury trial instead of a plea. as someone said last timesforattention. Dont know which way it will go that’s for sure. I am trying to be non judgemental but it DOES bother me that the A’s went on the cruise and got those tattoos, and jewelry etc.because they just aggrevate things more and more. Trying to see them as people and grandparents and parents and then they go for all the extras to “display” in public. Also the fact that they were rebaptised—did it take? It seems that they just keep mounting public opinion against them every day. What mixed up feelings I have for these two. If i saw them in person,i would say I was sorry for loss Also, I guess i missed people talking about LA (Lee Anthony’s) storage shed. What is going on with that. sorry for being so longwinded’. I dont ever feel like I really contribute but sometimes have to stop lurking and comment such as it is—–thanks

This is the ending ALL missing children cases should have! This mother was apparently involved but the family trusted police and called them in. Unlike Casey and her mother and father.

a liver burrito is my own invention. It’s liver n onions in a tortilla!! sounds gross but if you like liver it’s god. oh and the bug thingie musta been a typo. yeah I hear ya I am as sick as everyone about the cruise the tatoo and the jewelery is just plain disgusting as how they act! they are spending money like they are the rockerfeller’s or kennedys. they are a reproach to other grandparents/parents that do a good job of raising their kids. I have never seen grandparents who loose their grandkids to a crime! sell and exploit pictures of little kelly. its just not acceptable . I bought the book mommys little girl. I stayed up late reading. I think its an ok book I realy havent got to the meat of it. There little details that we dont hear. no pics of the cruise . which only makes sense the cruise was of recent. I am going to be stuck in in every chace I get.

  27. Kleat says:

Soulsister, yes, Z for Zany, but when you look at the other ‘alphabet’ letters, the theme seems to be about personality traits or behaviours so the meaning of that in ‘that’ particular context (not necessarily Casey’s context) is describing probably ‘zany behaviour’ and pronounced with a hard ‘a’. But the link for Casey, as she seems to make, could easily have attracted her attention in what seems to be her ‘zany’ behaviour.

But it’s there– no doubt chosen by Casey for some reason. Not all the alphabet is there, but I haven’t yet been through all the pics. That was at least the theme with those I’d seen. (which are missing, and what behaviours did they describe– some letters were repeated with different words too.)

Notice the little ‘gif’ (two copies) of a little heart design right in the middle of a ‘band-aide’?

And very odd collection of sayings that Casey collected. Can’t begin to surmise anything here, but odd collection as it seems to imply she knows about her behaviours/actions and where they take her:

“If Midol, duct tape or a band-aide can’t fix it… you’ve got a serious problem.”

“a killer with the perfect weapons, crystal eyes and a heart of coal”

and to her IM’s with Amy about ‘stupid boys’ and about breaking up with stupid head (or similar comment about her ‘current’, there’s a little photo icon with the saying:

“I’m not with stupid anymore… we broke up” (as well several others with the theme ‘stupid boys’)
    and on and on:

“What do you need a fake ID for? “So I can vote”

These imply Casey may have thought about fake ID’s, maybe even had one.

Lee did say Casey messaged, or provided clues in her writings more than in spoken words.

And, to Cindy having meds in her unlocked (?) bathroom or bedroom:

“”Sorry I stole your meds” (http://s686.photobucket.com/albums/vv223/kcAnthonypix/?action=view&current=ap_59_thumb.jpg)

“She’s got a smile on her face and a F*** You attitude cause from this day on, she’s living her life for her”

“I’m livin life and enjoying every last minute of it”

“Live fast and die young and leave a good looking corpse”

    “F*** the police”

“Oh I’m gonna go to the special hell”

“Remember my name because I’ll be famous one day”

(Is Casey thinking of making sure she does not come out of this alive? Living the highest risk possible for fame and attention and motive of harming so many, and if she loses, it’s just fine– all or nothing)

  28. ChicagoJudy says:

Sure, Casey’s sitting in jail and will probably be there for the rest of her life (God willing). But I wonder if she’s isn’t feeling a teensy bit proud of herself. Yes, her family is making money and buying nice things for themselves, but she’s the real star. She’s been the subject of television, radio, and newspaper interviews. She was the subject of an entire 48 Hours Mystery program. She’s the subject of is most likely the first book written about her; I’m sure there will be more. In her sick, twisted mind and in a “backwards sort of way”, the damn girl is world famous! Let’s face it — she is the IT GIRL of the moment. She knows it and she’s loving it. Ya think?

  29. Kleat says:

wsh, I think wftv made a mistake posting that ‘noon presser’– at least when it finally came on, it had no sound at all, then their link disappeared soon after that. It will probably show up, unless they continued to have audio problems.

  30. Kleat says:

and to the photobucket collection– Casey deleted images of Caylee, maybe others, but left two black and white ones with the ‘heart-skulls kissing’ versions and the colour versions without.

Casey had plenty of opportunity to wipe everything clean, so if this was intentional editing of what would be found, was she leaving those messages… one or two might not mean anything, but so many following the theme of what’s been going on with her, it’s too much not to consider it in the context of her psychology and actions leading up to, or following Caylee’s disappearance– especially if after June 15th afternoon corroborated Caylee last seen. Maybe this will allow the ‘grouping’ of these sayings to come in at trial as part of the behaviour of Casey as picking things out, of using her writing to give clues. And maybe she wants to be convicted, not take a ‘plea’ because a plea would save her life and end her desire for attention– she would just go away. She might never take a plea, maybe she WANTS this to be happening.

  31. Kleat says:

And, maybe this is why the defense needs help with their defense, from the prosecution– they are not getting any useful help from Casey perhaps? (Casey = Zani?, but it will be Casey who becomes famous, not ‘Zani)

  32. Chica says:

    http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/breakingnews/os-casey-anthony-discovery-20091105,0,737078.story
Casey Anthony case: More discovery to be released Friday
More documents are expected to be released Friday in the criminal case against Casey Anthony, the 23-year-old accused of killing her daughter last year.

Several hundred pages will be released by the State Attorney’s Office in response to a public record request. Anthony’s defense team has already received the paperwork.

It’s unclear what information will be in the documents. So far, more than 10,000 pages of documents have been made public.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 2-year-old Caylee Marie, whose remains were found in woods less than a mile from her family’s east Orange County home. Authorities ruled her death a homicide but could not determine how she died.

The state is seeking the death penalty against Anthony, who remains in the Orange County Jail.

desperately trying to find out what the name of mark furmans book is about this case anyone???

  34. Todd in Tulsa says:

But I must think though, once that verdict is read and that gavel goes down, news stories, attention, interest, etc. goes almost extinct. I remember when Scott Peterson was the buzz, news coverage, interviews, news stories, etc. After verdict….maybe one story in 6 months. Casey will be forgotten, and she can’t accept that

  35. ChicagoJudy says:

Chica, Mark Furhman’s book is not just about this case. It talks about many big cases. The title is Murder Business (or something like that). He discusses how the media turns murders into big business.

  36. Wendy says:

    Chica,

It’s The Murder Business. It’s not entirely about this case, just f.y.i. In fact it gives some details about several cases. It talks about how the media turns crime into entertainment. That’s actually the header if you go to amazon and read up on the book. Hope that helps.

  37. Chica says:

    wendy
yes it does thank you. I am reading mommy little girl its quite interesting to read it . yup I agree the media turns crime into big business.
the anthonys played this to their advantage

  38. Kleat says:

November 12th is the date of Dominic Casey’s deposition date– that is only 4 business days away for the Judge’s decision whether he will or will not be deposed. And if the date stands, his lawyer could still put another motion in to delay prior to Nov. 12th? (ie: asking for restrictions on questions, or does DC’s lawyer need to do that at the depo by objecting, then having the court review the questions objected to by privilege? (or will the judge give a ruling on what is or is not privilege for Dom C with regards to the ‘three adults’ whoever those people are– George, Cindy, Lee, Casey and Baez– that’s four ‘adults’ right there although Dom Casey and Tennis listed he worked also for Caylee Anthony as he stated under oath and on the stand in the civil case.)

  39. Kleat says:

If Tennis plays this as she might, she could file a motion on the 11th without allowing time for a response from the state, or for an order from the court, then the Nov 12th date could be cancelled and rescheduled some time whenever down the road (delay is best defense).

  40. Kleat says:

(wftv has the noon press conference on the Shannon story posted and working now– this might provide the link to a 1987 missing boy cold case, a beaten 6 year old girl, both linked to these people who had little Shannon.)

  41. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Blink, I know you have said you think this will plea out and never go to court. Do you see that coming soon? The reason I ask is because we have all seen just about every picture of Caylee and KC and GA and CA and the rest, I don’t think there is much more to sell, which would stop the money train.

I think if they are going to, it is now. That’s why we are seeing these motions.
    B

  42. Kleat says:

“The murder [of Caylee] was not cold or calculated” according to the news reporter paraphrasing the latest motions of Casey’s defense, therefore drop the DP.

If this is the correct wording of the defense statement, then what are they really saying? Are they saying IF Casey did it, it was not cold or calculated? But, what if their defense is that someone else stole the child as in a kidnapping and holding, and revenge/pay back scenario, THAT would also not be cold or calculated?

So, the evidence of the murdered child and the associated duct taping of the mouth and nose, was not cold and calculated BECAUSE it was the mother? It is worse, the child was in the custody of her mother and had no choice but to trust the mother, and if the mother started to choke, or tape, or smother the child, the action could be stopped before the child died. That did not happen, and it’s hard for a ‘oops didn’t know that would happen’, defense.

I say if she is ready to confess than she should, that’s the only way that posture makes sense.
    B

  43. chica says:

  44. Joan (Canada) says:

Anyone, if Casey did go for a plea deal in the murder case, would the civic and fraud trial go forward anyways or could they plea on this also. Hope it’s not to dumb a question.

  45. cindeefromwisconsin says:

Blink, I just thought of why she won’t plea…she would have to stand up there in front of Judge Strickland, tell him why she did it, how she did it “truthfully” and then face the verbal punishment he will give her. I think she is just to “proud” to humiliate herself like that.

  46. Todd in Tulsa says:

Ruse from the Anthony’s, I meant, sorry

  47. Sue says:

395 – cindee – The way I see it is that the defense is NO match for the prosecution team in this case. The prosecution will roll all over the mamby-pamby poor excuse for a defense. And what is going to be the defense strategy anyway? If it goes to trial, she WILL be found guilty, and she will have to face the judge – either way. How much more humiliated can she get when she knows all the party pics circulated out there with her in a drunken stupor, urinating in a parking lot, dirty dancing etc. etc. etc. Her so-called secret life now exposed for all the world to see. Think of the humiliation when the verdict is read and it is GUILTY. Her bluff is called.

If she takes a plea, she will be uncomfortable for a few minutes, but it won’t compare to a trial where EVERYTHING will be on parade day after day, week after week and maybe month after month. Not in her comfort level for sure! And there are SO MANY more secrets that have yet to come out……..

  48. chica says:
