Orlando, FL– On the eve of the one year anniversary of the recovery of 34 month old Caylee Marie Anthonys remains; the defense team representing the woman charged with her murder is preparing for one of the most difficult court appearances to date.

Tomorrow, one year ago, Caylee was found while her grandparents and Team Casey dined on crab puffs and lounged pool side at the Ritz.

Ritzbaezcheck2-small4Among the Ritz Carlton guests, courtesy of ABC, was the Anthony Family Private Investigator, Dominic Casey.

Mr. Casey is attempting to don the “Privilege Parka” and avoid an upcoming deposition scheduled for December 16 and of course subsequent testimony at trial. The State has issued subpoenas to both George and Cindy Anthony for tomorrow’s hearing. They are looking to sit in front of the bar.

Might be advisable given the circumstances. I suggest a single malt of humility with a dignity chaser.

By his own account, George Anthony has not seen or spoken to Dominic Casey since February 10, 2009.

It is not known if perhaps Baez never took the time to explain to Mr. Casey  the definition of “privilege”.

It is not thatAnthonysCourt51909 he would get the “privilege” of schtupping his Clients wife while their baby granddaughter was missing and later found murdered in the area his Client*slash*PillowPal sent him to search a month earlier.

O yeah, I went there.

If he is stupid enough through his attorney Diana Tennis to continue the privilege party line I predict Ms. Drane Burdick will be well prepared to demonstrate her skills in verbal guillotine simply by using Dom’s own words. I am not a huge Dr. Phil fan I admit, but there is a quote from him I feel resonates for Cindy Anthony specifically:

If he will do it with ya, he will do it to ya. 100%

Cindy, when you read this, you know I come from a place of knowledge and there are some doors even you do not want opened.

Mountainous Motionous Interruptus

To Deluge is to Delude? That is the Question.

Baez_casey_lyonIt is unclear if Ms. Lyon and the Baez jesters get paid by the word in their motions, or if they own stock in the local optometrist.

What is clear, is they have an endless supply of ink for the laser jet.

Could that be because they have not put out the benjamens for the bevy of experts we were expecting from the hearing about who is funding this shindig?

Even the dubious Dr. Lee is on record saying he does not get out of bed until the next check. *snark alert*

How do you ask for a year to prepare for a trial and not list a single expert as a witness, or lob a smidge of discovery back over the net?

Is February 1st the BIG BAEZ REVEAL? ( Insert laugh track)

Yesterday, Prosecutor Linda Drane Burdick returned fire, exposing what appears to be some seriously shoddy defense tactics to open up the files of the almost 4000 Texas Equusearch Volunteers in response to the mountains of motions filed by the defense the day before Thanksgiving.

“Dialing for Disgruntled”

It is not surprising or original to learn that Andrea Lyon and Jose Baez et al have spent weeks calling through TES search rosters to find anyone that would talk to them voluntarily. Many have. Baez and team apparently thought they hit pay-dirt with Joe Jordan and Laura Buchanan.

Joe Jordan was a volunteer on the first search in Orlando for Caylee Anthony. He also broke his agreement with TES by posting Youtube videos of the search and blogging about locations and findings. It was a serious no no and when he was outed, he began his campaign to speak negatively about Tim Miller and TES.

In the defense’s motion to modify access to TES records,  Mr. Jordan claims to have kept very detailed records of his search efforts, when his team of 5–6 members were searching the alleged “exact area” where Caylee was ultimately found. For me, when someone uses the word detailed, I make the assumption that entails having more than one name of the other 5 people:

..”Among the five people with me were Danny Ibison and his dog, and a Panama City Deputy with one of his two dogs…”

Within the search form Jordan alleges he provided to TES, it would REQUIRE the names and ID’s of the individuals searching that area.

Could it be that Ibison and the others would not support Jordan’s statement because the area, exact area, where Caylee’s remains were found, was underwater on September 1st?

Speaking on the condition of anonymity exclusively to blinkoncrime.com, a source within OCSO confirms just that. Ibison maintains the site was underwater, the as- yet-unamed- publicly “deputy” will confirm there were meetings within TES to come up with a solution to use some sort of aquatic equipment to search the submerged area, but it was considered too dangerous and too small for a boat.

What motive would Mr. Jordan have to (un-surreptitiously to him) record his interview with Morty?

Joe JordanJJ records the audio for a spell and then gets around to calling Det. Edwards at OCSO to ostensibly get a high five.

That high five was nearly a low five behind his back from the state for a 3rd degree wiretapping felony.

Wait for it….. AND he is “materially” changing his story after apparently being schooled about what happens when you are prepared to lie in court, regardless of your agenda.

There is no “I” in perjury. Look out Baez, someone is out of there FUGUE state in time for tomorrow.

If I were a betting gal, I would say that Lyon will not lead with asking Ms. Drane Burdick where she picked out her suit or what she has in her nightstand drawer.

However, I do believe that an excerpt or 3 from Andea Lyon’s stand up impersonation of Lisa Lampanelli may end up on the record.

All that aside, I am humbled by tomorrow’s anniversary I thought I would never see. I will never forget the call in which both joy and anguish filled my throat.  “We got her, it’s her.”

To the FBI, FDLE, FBI CSI, OCSO CSI, SS and OCSO, 9th Circuit Medical Examiners Office, Dr. G and SH– You know who you are– From the bottom of my heart I thank you for the commitment you showed this child.

You are her sweet voice now, backed by your collective baritone.

I am hopeful for an anti-crescendo or dimiuendo, directed to the finale.

If that does not work, then we scrap. End is the Same. Justifies the Means.

Blink, what do you think the defense will want, in the way of gratuities for pleading the fraud case? Why would the state want to go with a plea? What is in it for them in the way of minimizing risk of losing some ground? What could the defense offer them when they have a video of the accused committing the crime and having the crime and the evidence itself, caught on video and more than once, including on Bank security, no question who the criminal is in their pictures of Casey face ‘behind bars’ (teller bars).

Seems the state has the advantage if this goes to trial– they have been prepared for a long time, they would gain an advantage to watch Baez and his team ‘in action’. Maybe it’s enough not to have to take a Gravol or two each morning before court.

If it matters, Richard Hornsby is now rethinking his stance and feels this theory could have some merit…

  3. Word Girl says:

Really disappointed to see Hornsby act up. He thought he had a good gimmick to run that theme. (a gimmick is a quirky feature that distinguishes a product or service without adding any obvious function or value. Wiki.) Hornsby didn’t care if it had been analyzed elsewhere. His work is self-serving.

Too bad, I was beginning to ignore his snarkiness and think he had something to offer. I question his professionalism in many ways; identifying a past or present girlfriend in an article of this type was poor taste and puts her in jeopardy.

I hope he figures out who he really is and what he is really all about.

  4. westsidehudson says:

Maybe the “xmas present” is that the defense is taking Hornsby’s advice on consolidating the fraud & murder cases.
He once stated that people didn’t gossip about the case around the courthouse, so otherwise, who is his new found source of insider info, if not the defense itself? Puzzling.

I guess I will have to read there, lol.

I like it when Hornsby sticks to legal analysis, especially when he is trying his best to be objective. He often produces a good read when applying his knowledge and expertise. Maybe he feels like he has to write something to just keep the hits coming on his blog. At least as someone else has offered, he is contemplating that he may not have been right.

I am not seeing a backpedal, did I miss something? I agree as I said this morning, I truly felt an objective legal-insight based site would be perfect as we progress to trial.

Casey Anthony case: Tickets for Steven Soderbergh play ‘Tot Mom’ are ‘hot commodities’
December 21, 1:15 AMCrime ExaminerCindy Adams

Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh has written and is directing a play based on the case involving Casey Anthony, a Florida mother accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Anthony.

The play,‘Tot Mom,’ opened its doors to Australian audiences at the Sydney Theatre Company, and The New York Times reports that tickets are “hot commodities.”

The production uses transcripts from Nancy Grace’s HLN show, police reports, and court documents as its source material.

According to the Sun Sentinel, no actors are playing the roles of Casey, Cindy, George, Lee or Caylee Anthony. Instead, the Times reports that play is a “mixed-media work with 10 actors in multiple roles.” In addition, the backdrop to the play is a mirror, forcing the audience to watch itself as the “media frenzy” is “whipped up around the case.”
Australian actress Essie Davis will play HLN’s Nancy Grace on video, made up in a blond wig.

ALERT! Zenaida Myspace page logged into today
    December 19, 2009 · 51 Comments

Justice4All alerted me to some unusual activity. The “zenaida” Myspace page has been breeched. It was logged into today. That means a real live Zenaida exists and lives in Miami, law enforcement is scoping it out, or Casey gave her password to someone with outside Internet access. I logged into my account and noticed “she” was online. I sent an IM (instant message) and the person immediately logged out.

Could an ordinary person with special skills re-assign an account number to some unused targetted account?

If Myspace account numbers are secure and/or assuming there were no violations of security and the number created for what became the Zenaida/Dora account was never ‘hijacked’ for other purposes, then we’d have to first learn when the ‘Dora’ image was added, if not June 16th.

If not June 16th, maybe up to, or on, October 14th. Maybe a last minute pre-indictment tweek by the person who was Casey or wanted to appear as Casey. Can images be added without a visible ‘sign-on’?

IF this is a hacker, then Myspace users might be concerned about their own accounts, and if there is a problem of taking old unused account numbers to back-date an account ‘signup’, fudging activity dates, then what is Myspace doing about the problem?

    #935..ada,

There has never been a doubt in my mind about Casey using the Chloroform on Caylee around the time she was with Ricardo. Of course this is only my opinion, and I’m sure someone will be quick to jump in and correct me…but…..

I believe that Ricardo was the one that Casey tried chloroform with, in a sexual manner. I don’t know though which came first….Casey using it on Caylee, and then bringing up the idea of using it sexually with Ricardo, which led him to research it online. ORRRRR, Ricardo, and/or Casey using it sexually, and then Casey realizing that it could be used as a great babysitter.

The one thing that stands out in my mind are the interviews with Cindy, and the one with Ricardo. Ricardo offered up that one night while he and Casey were in bed, they went to sleep, and Caylee was in there with them. When Ricardo woke up, Casey was still there, but Caylee was gone. She said that Cindy had called in the middle of the night and insisted that Casey bring Caylee home. When interviewed and asked about that incident, Cindy was adamant it never happened. She even went as far as to say that she not only NEVER insisted or asked Casey to bring Caylee home in the middle of the night, but she stated as fact that the ONLY time she EVER told Casey to bring Caylee home was on the way home from the mall after they found the car towed and she had spoken with Amy.

As I said….this is strictly my opinion, but I fully believe that for whatever reason…sex..or Caylee was annoying Casey, or Casey just needed/wanted some alone time with Ricardo for one reason or another….I wholeheartedly believe she chloroformed Caylee that night, and put her in the trunk of the car.

I DO NOT believe that Casey killed her child! Yeah, she didn’t call the police at first, but if you were in the place where your child was kidnapped and knowing the the police only will do what they want and not what they should you wouldn’t call them either! The police will say what they want to and and will believe what they want… they do not look at the facts. Casey Anthony partied, yes, but what mother that has chil(ren) that the grandparents will keep all the time will not go party and do what not… The grandparents are the ones that wanted to keep Caylee all the time. Just about every young parent has went through their times on doing drugs and drinking their booze! Just because Casey did all of that does not mean that she is a bad parent and person. No one can say for sure that she had done what is being said. The law enforcment checked to area out that Caylee was found several times before the child was found. The car smelling like decomposed body smell was in there is not exceptable, she could have had wet clothes that were in the back of her car that soured and Casey’s brother could have been hunting that could have caused the decomposed smell. The law is wanting to put everything on Casey because she is the mother that partied every weekend. The pictures that were put on T.V were dated from before Caylee was even missing. There are some things that are pointing to Casey but truth is people the she didn’t do it.. The ones that is blaming Casey for Caylee death is with the police. You don’t want to hear Casey’s side all you want to hear is what you want to hear by the police and that is it. LOOK AT THE REAL FACTS AND GET BRUSHED UP ON YOUR DETECTIVE WORK YOU WILL SEE THAT THE EVIDENCE DOES NOT ADD UP CORRECTLY. In all honesty, in every case the law will some evidence that will point to the caretaker of a child(ren), but if the law is set on what they want to happen they will disregard other pieces of evidence that will point somewhere else. Whew that was another doozie! why would anyone suspect that the police will do what they want, what does that even mean? Secondly, she never told her parents or friends either so it is utter nonsense. You have to have a very low threshold for suspension of disbelief to buy this story.
Casey called police when protesters were at their door. Why wasn’t she worried about “what they wanted to do” then?

  33. westsidehudson says:

“The car smelling like decomposed body smell was in there is not exceptable, she could have had wet clothes that were in the back of her car that soured….”

Interesting , maybe she got this idea from midwestmom who threw out the hypothesis of a wet car, in a prior thread.

Secondly, none of these things have ever been brought up. Casey spoke of a dead squirrel. DEAD squirrel.

Never mind, I found the link and saw that people were already asking those questions…duh.

  35. Kleat says:

I am working my way through the details of Hornsby’s ZG investigation and have come across the pdf in which there are a couple of points to ponder.

    pfd: http://blog.richardhornsby.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/Gonzalez-Zenaida-48-2008-CT-2378-W.pdf

Mr. Hornsby points out the ‘C.’ after ‘Zenaida Gonzalez’ and relates same to Mr. Morgan’s client’s Sawgrass form.

On the traffic citation, the spelling is ‘Zenaida Gonzalez’ (with a ‘z’), the date of birth Jan. 11, 1986 (22 years old, same as Casey), and 5′ 02″, not a tall girl, but shorter variety, like Casey. Can’t be Casey because we know from Cindy that Casey is more like 5’01″.

No Valid DL. (what does ‘impeding the flow of traffic mean?– driving too slow, cutting in and out of traffic to cause slowing of other vehicles, driving too slow because trying to understand writing on English highway signage?) Was this driver allowed to continue on her merry way by ‘driving off with no valid DL? That is unimaginable–but then, I’m not from Florida.

At the bottom right corner of Page 1 of the pdf, we find the ZG signature. It appears to be Zenaida Gonzalez (or possibly Gonzales with an ‘s’) C.

Was Casey’s cell phone pinging anywhere near Regal Pt. Blvd and Regal Circle Downs in Winter Garden? Annie, IIRC, told Mn’M in her depo, that coincidentallly she was on the phone with Casey during Annie’s own little traffic violation problem. (why did Annie bring this point up? to dispell something out there? now what was it that Mr. Dill did not dig into at that point…. now what was that… maybe nothing…nothing at all….).

To Pg 3 of the pdf:
“ESTADO DE FLORIDA vs Zenaida Gonzalez [add now, a third name that ends with ... nache?] Could this third name be the ‘C.’ ?

Does this discount Casey? Not necessarily as we know that Casey adds in her own bits of variation into her stories, as the ‘Fernandez’ was added into the Sawgrass ZG name. It would not be far fetched for IF this were Casey, for the name to be added for variation IF it was Casey in a ‘jam’. Got the name, just add no DL, no speak English, and the ‘C…..’ to the name you know you will use, dumb cop boys won’t figure that out (I’m just saying– IF this were Casey).

(Did Dominick Casey run this person down as a possible nanny even though she was not tall enough as per Casey’s description? We know that Dominick did not have a professional method of ‘criteria’ to determine which leads/tips should be given to the police– he did seem a tad clueless about the meaning of the word ‘criteria’. (IMHO it was highly unfair of Sgt. Allen to not give Investigator a copy of Webster’s or Roget’s to help him understand– completely unfair!!! ;)

Would Dominick Casey happen, by completely separate and unrelated means, have a photo of this Zenaida Gonzalez who is 22 years old? He has several of Mr. Morgan’s client, so did Joy Wray have one to use in her ‘this is Zanny Gonzalez’ with tattoo Youtube that is still up and running.

The person would presumably receive a copy of the ‘Disposition’, which gives as the charge NVDL. This is where a conspiracy theorist might jump in and say that looks like NYDL!! Hey, Ms. Nanny was from NY and would have a ‘NYDL’. Of course, Casey would never relate those sorts of little visual clues, would she, IF she had a copy of this ZG paperwork. I’m not sayin’….

Who was the Chevy UT registered to? Was it insured or registered at all? Would a traffic officer not ask for vehicle registration as a matter of routine? (was this also an uninsured driver/vehicle?)

If the ‘copy’ of this file was sent to recording, where is the original paper copy? Held or destroyed? No fingerprints, huh? Any videos that the media could access through the sunshine laws for the date and time of this person’s attendance in the public buildings?

Strange, when the person signs the forms, she herself, does not always put a ‘C.’ or a ‘C…nache’ with her signature.

“Adjudication of guilt withheld” “NOLO CONTENDERE”

Wouldn’t it be simple to track this person and the vehicle down, even for a PI like DC to discount this Zanny Nanny person? But they still promote Mr. Morgan’s client via JWW and her little YouTube’s. This person and the truck owner, Mr. ‘No-Criteria’ Casey? (oops… snark overload)

  36. Kleat says:

And in addition– we KNOW that this is NOT Mr. Morgan’s client with a ‘C’ (or G.) printed her form, because, even if she wished to keep her age secret, no officer with more than a day’s experience, would believe that Mr. Morgan’s client, was 22 years old in 2008.

  39. Kleat says:

Will save reading further in Mr. Hornsby’s article, I want to know how he explains one more coincidence that this can’t be Casey because it must be ‘C’onspiracy. (the “PAYMENT DATE 7/15/08, the day Casey had some burning hot cash money in her pocket to arrange her newest tattoo, and other significant events)

There are many, many things he has missed.

I have no intention of pointing out the host of disparities and or ommissions.

At the end of the day, I developed the theory that Casey Anthony was using Zenaida Gonzalez as an alias/persona and I stand behind that.

NOBODY is getting past the fact that Casey Anthony fingered Zenaida Gonzalez at the very apartment she actually looked at… confirmed. In my mind, from a defense perspective, if they can’t answer that question, they are done before they start.

Point is, THEY CAN… THEY WILL. THEY HAVE TO…

WSH, if Hornsby is still speculating (after watching the last hearing, as he says he did) that the cases will be consolidated, how does he explain Judge Strickland’s statement that the fraud case WILL go forward before the capital trial? It’s a bit late for the defense to come up with that idea, and where would it get them? The same jury hearing the evidence of fraud? The ‘ stupid killer dp jurors”?

Hornsby is great on the humour, but he’s got some catching up to do on the case. But then, so too, does Mr. ” Gee I didn’t know about the duct tape- three pieces you say!’ Conway.

The consolidation idea was earlier musings from him. It may also have been advice that he emailed to Baez early on, but don’t quote me on that one, not sure.

Hornsby just posted on WS that he has spoken with a reporter there locally and they are going to be making a formal records request on anything pertaining to the zenaida myspace.

I guess we have to wait and see if it is already part of discovery. If not, I would guess he would get back nada.

Is another cop going to bite the dust because of this case. Cops are supposed to ask for a driver’s license, proof of insurance and registration when you are stopped by them in Florida.

Just 23 days after the 5/24 stop, little Caylee is killed. What might have happened had the cop run that tag? There goes my imagination again.

  47. ChicagoJudy says:

I agree with you, Wendy, on your theory that Casey drugged Caylee that specific night she was with Ricardo. I don’t know if it was chloroform or not, but that baby girl was hidden away in the middle of the night — more than likely in the trunk of her mother’s car. This whole topic is one that I wish someone would ask Casey about — on camera!

I can’t even take that post from ABC News seriously. That person obviously doesn’t even know how to put a proper sentence together. And that’s who people are going to listen to? I think not!

A Zanny question… I know that the Cindy says Casey talked about a “Zanny” for about a year prior to the baby’s disappearance. Am I correct in believing that the full name of Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez wasn’t even mentioned by Casey until after July 15? Because if that’s the case, would Casey have been referring to Xanax all the times she mentioned that Caylee was with “Zanny” to her mother and friends? And it just so happened that she saw the full name of Zenaida Gonzales at Sawgrass at a most opportune time. (She added the Fernandez in herself; another one of her little things she liked to do when she wove the real truth into her half-truths.) The timing couldn’t have been more perfect; and that’s why I’m questioning my memory of events.

Blink, yup– we can put the chalkboard up in January when this happens– Blink 2, Hornsby 0 (sorry, hope he takes humour too!! ;)

Either you are right on about the ZG persona, or one might speculate that the Bermuda Triangle is shifting it’s coordinates and triangulating right over Orlando. Maybe another symptom of global warming effect.

Chica Darling who gives one rats ass about that lonely no visited site, I dont think 0.001% of this nation care about what the idiot on that site has to say…look at all the Caylee supportive sites that is what is truly telling…Caylee 100 Casey Zippo nada nothing, the votes are still coming in…we will keep counting
