Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: George Anthony Is Under The Microscope

George Anthony can stands all he can stands and he cain’t stands no More!

George Letter

Yesterday, in an exclusive interview with Fox’s Holly Bristow, George Anthony read aloud a letter he wrote over Thanksgiving regarding his and his families plight of living “under the microscope.”

This is the same Holly Bristow that Cindy parked her SUV in rush hour traffic, ran to her news van, banged on the window and shaking her finger screamed to the driver that Holly would NOT be getting any more exclusives.

You can find Dr. Lillian Glass’s assessment of George’s appearance here.

Apparently George feels there is plenty of blame for his strife including bloggers looking for their 15 minutes of fame. Huh?

It would seem to me that in George, Lee and Cindy Anthony’s initial 15 minutes of LAME, they begged the media, the public and Law Enforcement to look for Caylee Marie Anthony THEIR WAY and without any scrutiny of the possibilities of how she got THAT WAY.

The Blinkoncrime contributing editors would like to remind Mr. Anthony that to our knowledge, the only thing that landed under a microscope in the search for his murdered granddaughter was her hair with a deathband at the proximal end; removed from his daughter’s trunk.

The rest of the scrutiny, sir, is of your OWN DOING.

You S O L I C I T E D help from OCSO.

You S O L I C I T E D help from the media.

You S O L I C I T E D help from the public.

You S O L I C I T E D help from the Padillas.

You S O L I C I T E D help from TES.

You S O L I C I T E D help from Private Investigators.

What utterly jams me about you people is your unmitigated gall that you think you can control events.

You have treated anyone in any capacity as if they should open their mouths, take the Anthony spoonful and ignore your hand in our wallets in the process.

You solicited public funds without a license to do so and misled thousands as to where your GRANDDOLLARS were going.

I would ask you how many granddollars your dignity cost you but as I have noted in an earlier “Microscope View” you were devoid of it before Caylee was murdered.

You have openly admitted to following witnesses in this case.

You directed Dominick Casey to spend the bulk of his time trying to dig up dirt on the very people your daughter duped for years; not to find Caylee mind you, but to take the heat off Casey.

How many decent people have YOUR efforts put under the microscope?

Mr. Anthony, I began work on Caylee’s case LONG before I had ever written about it because she was M I S S I N G. I put together a research team and we busted our humps daily to help find her, and to stop you and yours from using her as your personal ATM.

The fact is, these “bloggers” for the most part, all did more to find your granddaughter than you or any member of your family ever has.

When she was found and OCSO and the FBI spent 72 hours straight at the site to make sure they had all this baby’s bones what did you do?

You called the very people whose hands extracted almost every teensy bone of this cherub “effing flunkies” and ordered them out of your house.

What you, your family and cronies have never understood, is that THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU. I don’t give a whip if you pierce your pinky toe. I don’t care about any of your proclivities whatsoever.

What I VERY MUCH care about, is justice for Caylee Marie Anthony.

My team and I will work as diligently as we always have to ensure she gets it and that her legacy is restored.

As long as you continue to publicly lie, omit, evade and demonstrate your overall inability to accept what has happened to your only grandchild at the hands of your daughter, you can expect a slot on my slide at every opportunity.

You knew on July 15. I could throw a rock from your roof to where Caylee laid in festering garbage. Shame on You.

You want out of the spotlight? Tell the truth. You might even try it before Dominick Casey cuts a deal and tells it for you.

Don’t asked me why but I just rewatched the George shows off his brand new fishing boat on YouTube. That’s 10 minutes of my life I’ll never get back. Ok honestly, I was watching it to see if he had his wedding ring on since he did not in this latest video. My reaction….George is such a BOOB. He spent 10 minutes blabbing about this boat and the most important features he could think of to talk about were the decals and light bar. The decals with Caylee’s name have fish on them…oh wow. The light bar has guess what…..A LIGHT. And did you know that Dennis Milstead invented GPS and SONAR? This according to George at least. All the while Cindy was standing and then sitting in the background watching his every move making sure he stuck to the script.

By the way, never did get a clear shot of his hand to see if the wedding ring was on or not. Has he worn one in the past and if so when did it come off?

Look at my brand new shiny boat..it has stickers, lots of em!

Didn’t mean to be confusing, if I’d learn to cut and paste..
My question#324- paraphrasing-the poster said that she was the one who ‘discovered’ a Zanaida in PR who was 24, a nanny and had in her care a caucasion looking girl, she had much contact with Cindy via the telephone,Cindy was planning a trip there and that this poster was now all in a dither because she might be called as a witness..
All of this happened way back when, so what’s the relevance now except to broadcast the story of a real live Zanaida, a nanny.
My point is that Cindy and her PI’s could have confirmed or denied this fairly easily. Cindy was in the thick of this and it seemed like there was a deliberate attempt to continue with false leads.
It’s all too fantastic, this person now telling all, hasn’t yet been contacted by LE or anyone. Is there nothing about the case, post Casey’s arrest that doesn’t somehow involve Cindy?

Lol, I tried to locate this, can anyone cut and paste, with proper linkage, exactly what MJ is referring to. I need to see if before I comment but I have a feeling I know who this is and where it is going.. TIA

    Something I don’t understand -

All the talk about the Anthonys sitting around tossing about kidnap scenarios. What the heck is that all about? Why wouldn’t you deal with the facts (?) in trying to figure out where your granddaughter was being held and by whom? Why would you play “let’s pretend this happened or that happened”?

Because the public continues to feel sorry for them and the media continues to follow leads, and the granddollars keep rolling in.

As well as the prisoner’s vistor log, how about attorney record, or maybe it’s just Baez’s charisma that attracts these people. (some of them, irrc, actually put their name on the letter, or even went on camera to give Casey excuses and get attention from someone)

  5. Pete86047 says:

ALyons picks a very very small percentage of death cases to work with. In 2008 there were over 3,000 people on death row. Her home state of Illinois put a moratorium on the death penalty in 2003 so I dont see how she is doing much there. As I see it she pretty much only picks cases she can tell from the start she can win, hence ONLY 19 so far. For her winning means getting her case changed to life w/o parole. Not really the grand record it appears.. Mostly smoke and mirrors in my book and selfish ‘look at me’ in her book. But, still gotta hand it to her, does anybody else bother with such cases other than Amnesty International?

  6. Kleat says:

MJ, I agree, Blink and I know who this poster is– as I read your post, the ‘all in a dither about being called as a witness’ (who me??? you want me??? I don’t want to do it but I’ll do it for Caylee… but I’m reluctant, yes… not pushing myself out in public for the attention… reluctant to come forward… I hope they won’t call me… why you ask?…. because I don’t want attention on my family… but I’ll tell your media microphones and cameras I will do it… do it for the nobel prize cause)

Maybe I’m wrong if this isn’t a spoofer poster, of course.

Regarding July 3rd, and what Cindy found, I have always believed it was the diary of days that Cindy found, but no way of knowing for sure. The Thing that bothers me about the diary of days is did Casey write it? copy it? was she a person who wrote poem?

I think it’s creepy that Caylee had lost one of her teeth at such a young age, for any reason. I still wonder if it was the Teddy Bear that George and Cindy found which prompted the frenzy. Cindy told some convoluted tale about it.

Another interesting post was that maybe Cindy went back to Gentiva to throw things out in the dumpster there. Her going back to work never made sense.

#348 – Wendy – I agree with your assessment of the inmate’s letter to the judge in many regards. Another reason I felt that the letter did not come from an inmate is that for the most part he got the “sequencing” of his story right. In other words, he put it down on paper the way that it happened or the way that it was told to him. In order to do that right, there has to be some knowledge of how to write, and he would have gotten the spelling down better if that was the case. Most inmates, when they write, they are very scattered in their thinking, and they jump around from thought to thought. For the most part, I followed what he was trying to convey because he followed a train of thought with each paragraph. I only read the letter once, but this did stand out to me and a “little voice in my head” told me that it was not written by a career criminal/inmate.

Thank goodness Caylee has people with brains in LE and prosecution on her side. Was that the fishing let’s save “missing kids” boat? What a farce. Looks like he would keep wearing his ring because they are a perfect normal family and it might go with his earrings. Do the Caylee tatoos match the decals on his boat? Sorry, couldn’t help myself.

Thank you Pete86047 for helping me out (I promise to have my daughter give me link lessons tonight).

I will say that regardless of who is behind the posts, the inmate letter, the myspace update and new trolls popping up here and there, there must be some kind of mental mind meld going on that all of these things are happening right now. How that many unrelated folks are deciding to go public near the same time frame have astronomical odds.
My biggest dilemma when I think about all this is who would benefit. Casey of course but how many other murder suspects get this much unsolicited help? She hasn’t risen to cult following status yet so I just don’t see the nuts falling all over themselves to impress her by injecting themselves and trying to promote doubt. Very curious. Yes, Blink did say that it would happen but I don’t see how it happens without somebody directing the madness, so who is it?

I find it helpful to go back to basics and this is enough, back in summer of 2008 IS ENOUGH

THIS IS JUST ME KEEPING IT REAL….she killed this lil baby and everything past DEC 11 is just crap…I won’t go further then this point….the trial needs to happen yesterday…

I will stay steadfast about not caring or buying into the BS, from here on out, anything about whatever the A’s have to say or what the defense(less) has to say from there on out means nothing to me.

I don’t care about the A’s cameos, the defense’s propoganda NOTHING…I will await in the wings for the trial, all this BS is just that BS.

at this point……Let the trial begin and then let the flood gates open….

I can’t respond to the antics since 12/11/2008 at all cause it is just so ugly and wrong it is beyond understanding….

so I am taking a break until this horrific crime goes to trial…

I will publicly say here that I hate the A’s behavior I hate the defense and their agenda, I stick by my opinion and it is mine and I won’t force it on anyone.

This baby needs peace and justice, and it will come, it will come when the time is ready…

Cindy and George would not have been able to do a thing with the knowledge that casey didnt work at Sports Authority. You cant just take a child, regardless of it being your grandchild because someone has lied and said they have a job. It occurs to me that maybe that is one reason cindy let so much go with casey, because otherwise casey could have taken off with caylee and nothing grandparents could do. At least by keeping casey there, they thought they were keeping caylee safe. I dont think cindy and george had any clue that casey might be a real danger to her child. I sure wouldnt want to think that of my son. However they went too far down the path of “enabling” casey and it brought tragic results. It is a long road for any grandparent to get custody of a grandchild and prove the mother unfit. It would also break up the whole family This has made me think of this in a different light because it would have been a very long and tough fight if cindy wanted custody. In the end cindy might have arrived at the decision to do this , if there was indeed a knock down drag out fight on the 15th as some neighbours claim. Casey could at any time, take her child and move out and go on welfare, regardless of whether she was unemployed or a liar. That doesnt amount to much in a custody fight. I must say tho one thing I will never understand is cindy now saying casey was mother of the year, that is just so bizarre when she told several people the very opposite. You can love your daughter without making up absolute ridiculous lies.

none, actually. When they did not respond to my mail or to the messages I stuck on their front door, back gate or garage, I contacted George/Cindy’s attorney and Lee’s attorney face to face and on the telephone. I was asked what I had to offer them, I said, that I was giving them the opportunity to express their point of view and made it clear that I would not be paying for photos, etc.
After a couple of telephone contacts, the George/Cindy attorney ceased returning my calls. Lee’s attorney never returned any of my calls after our first meeting.

    Hey Blink,
Great thread and great comments, as usual.

What is about the Anthony’s that draws them to the media like a moth to a flame? I just do not get it…As you have written, it was the Anthony’s that have solicited all of this attention. Do they really expect to garner sympathy without scrutiny?
I have seen on Hal’s blog at the Orlando Sentinel a coupla of posters tossing around the idea of a class action suit against them to try and recover the donations, as they were falsely solicited.

What are the chances that an attorney might bring a suit of this nature against them?

    low.
Now, if say someone made a substantial donation that is going to eff with their tax return in terms of charitable giving because the first charity was NOT tax deductible and it inferred it was, then I would say those individuals on their own would definitely have standing. Potentially in both Civil and Federal court.

    B

Blink … are you SURE ALyon doesn’t do underhanded? I myself think she actually does it quite well after reading about the case of a truly innocent man in IL who was sentenced to prison for a crime he did not commit (and for who ALyon allegedly was a part of at the time IIRC, and KNEW her client was guilty and this other man innocent but simply allowed the case to proceed with not once ounce of apparent conscious on the matter). How is that in itself not underhanded at it’s worst? I know we all need lawyers to some degree but for some the moral compass just always seems to be pointing south. In my heart of hearts I can’t for one minute phantom how anyone with a conscience, attorney or not, could just stand idly by and crucify what they know to be an innocent man and ruin his life for the sake of their guilty client. It’s just sheer evil, anyway you slice it IMO.

    Morally I agree with you.

Legally, I do not. That is a law problem, in practicality as a sworn officer of the court, she would have lost her license and been disbarred had she revealed that confession. That is actually the problem sometimes in how we see them, and I am guilty of it as well.
I have recently been offered a position as an analyst on a team that does probono work against the DP. If you can believe it, I was like, do y’all actually read my work, cause, you know, I tend to slant to the victim…

    I chit you not.

  39. notrial4casey says:

Thanks for answering my question Blink! I appreciate your insight.

I think it was the first charity that Cindy bragged was over $250K to Casey in one of the Jailhouse vids… to which Casey infamously and so self-servingly replied that it was almost half her bond….

Although I have never given them a dime, that is quite a bit of money and i would think that some of the donors would want an accounting of the money.
Maybe a lawyer that reads here could share their expertise in this area…. I would like nothing more than a full accounting by the Anthony’s for EVERYTHING that they have done… And a great place to start would be the money trail as I feel that it would certainly provide an incredible amount of insight into the rest of their self-serving motivations….

y, back to lurking and wishing. :)

  40. Kleat says:

    Marci,

The subject came up in the bond hearing, Yuri on the stand, his concerns about the aspect of ‘child abuse’ that he may have not investigated, so he decided to ask the Anthony’s about it– his concerns stemmed from a witness, the hairdresser who had cut Caylee’s hair and claims that she noticed bruises on the child’s arms and face. Yuri then mentioned the photo he had become aware of, as he said from someone’s cell phone, where Caylee had a mark under her eye.

Remember Cindy talked about the mark, it’s reasons for being there as she was a witness– Caylee did it to herself jumping, table etc.

And further, Cindy brought up the question to Casey in jail videos– asked ‘who’ cut Caylee’s hair.

But as we now know, Caylee had a mark on the opposite eye at some point too. Go figure. And there was the Casey call to Jesse on about June 24th, in which Casey was ‘talking to Caylee’ to ‘get off the table’. (Jesse hear this, and made the connection that Caylee was with Casey).

Lots of spinning around the topic to come.

  41. dddeerma says:

Just for the record: I have great sympathy for both Anthony grandparents–UNTIL THEY OPEN THEIR MOUTHS. Why don’t they sit back and let Conway handle the press? Which he is very good at doing. Every time he is asked, he says his clients don’t know what happened. Every time he says that, George or Cindy pop up with some asinine statement about Casey being the reincarnation of Mary the virginal mother of Jesus. Why don’t they shut up? Because they are offered money to talk. It looks bad to be living off Caylee, but it is not like George or Cindy is on trial. The bad they are doing right now is hurting Casey, not them.

Families can be narcissistic too. Cindy has new clothes, no need to work and people hanging off her every word. George has the attention he never seemed to get before this all happened. Celebrity and wealth must be intoxicating for people whose life long goal has been keeping up the appearance of a successful family despite the severe challenges that come with having Casey as a daughter.

George and Cindy are doing this entirely for themselves. I wonder if they realize that to continue on as “media darlings”, they will have to accept and deal with the fact of their daughter as a baby murderer.

He could turn and tell everything he ever knew about Casey, Caylee and the PI’s and all. He could say that he was under extreme pressure from his wife, misplaced loyalty to Casey, whatev. He might be able to wade into the waters of spokesperson. His humility and contrition and vow to honor Caylee’s memory may turn public opinion and scorn into admiration.
If he’d try it, it might work. There’s no lack of people looking for a toehold into this case, bet there’s a public relations guy or gal that would love to help. Then George would have ‘people’, ya know, talk to my people. It’s a win/win.

(female could take a male employee’s ‘Chris’ name tag, and use it, in theory)

I just listened to a jailhouse phone call between Casey and Lee.

What information did Lee find out that Casey claims law enforcement couldn’t even find out with using all their resources? After all, she gave everyone the same information over and over again.

And when she says she feels Caylee is close to home – she says Cindy will understand this because it’s “that type of bond you have with your kid.” Kid? Really? Baby or daughter or child I could understand. I don’t think I ever said ‘my kid’ – - ‘my kids’, sure, but not ‘kid’. It’s so impersonal. Kind of like ‘my dog’.

LOL MJ!! I like Gere better for it, but then, I had the advantage of listening to the soundtrack, reading the lyrics BEFORE watching the video– admit, I have to go watch the film now! (missing from my critical education)

Good luck with the biof-b, Imagine that this is the ‘Chicaco Defense’, and it’s all an act. I love that courtroom scene, the imagery of the dancer on witness shoulder, the awestruck starry-face of the ‘father’ as he realizes that yes, it is he (NOT)– love the media and flash bulbs, and the if your client is a bagel advice– just pull fakery and falegel.

We will hear about bagels in the trial, to be sure!! I’m still lovin’ Gere!
