Morgan Harrington Murder: Helpful Hunters May Hunt Her Killer

Abemarle County, VA– On the 100 acre parcel of the over 700 acre farm owned by Nancy and David Bass where Morgan Harrington’s remains were recovered yesterday, there may be clues of the furry variety that lead to the identity of Morgan’s murderer.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source inside the investigation has told blinkoncrime.com that questions raised here regarding private deer hunting on the farm have been verified by Virginia State Police.
Anchorage Farm owners do allow some private hunting members and maintains a list of those individuals permitted to do so.
From the time Morgan disappeared and presumably ended up in the hayfield, both archery and firearm deer seasons were in full swing.
Big Brother, or in this case Uncle Buck, was watching.

THANK you so much for your posts! The neuro consult was with a geriatric specialist later day. I do believe it is related to the meds. He was absolutely fine on Monday and Tuesday post op. Tonight, his nurse reported that he was taking out IV’s and swearing at the nurses.

Just a side note, my father was a professional athlete. Pro Baseball player. So terribly handsome. Avid hunter, scuba diver,and tennis player. You would all love him! He gave me my nickname name “Chad”, after the chatty Cathy doll he bought me for Christmas one year. LOVED it. As you can see see, so appropriate.
Pains me these days to see such a “star” being confused, not knowing where he is, and swearing at women, including his wife!
My daughter has a pressing issue right now in her life that she needs me so despartely, and with my fathers demise, I am in a position to choose between the 2. How awful is that??? I chose to go to my fathers tomorrow. My husband is tending to my daughter. It is an even split of the potatoe. Halved and shared.

Maybe I’m just going to vent, but here goes: I love the term “frenemies” that you used. I’ve only had a few posts on here, but I’ve been on the facebook site a lot since around Oct. 20th. NEVER could I say anything about these so-called friends without being slammed. BEFORE November 1st I said the friends hold the key to her discovery. Never did I get an indication that anyone wanted to touch them, so to speak. Then I saw SS’s video and I ended up feeling like the only person who was outraged. Her whole affect was almost blunted. Her smirk radiated indifference. I was astonished. Then, of course, I see the party pictures two weeks after the disappearance, got honest about my disgust only to be addressed again by the Glee Club. There were statements actually defending their ‘right’ to party away their BLUES. I tried to reason with them, saying that I could see a private party in the dark, no music, a few beers, etc.–Oh NO. They were grieving like college students would. WTH?
What’s my point? They had specific lead possibilities to provide right there, right then. And, of course, not one called her parent’s home until the next day. Maybe the police couldn’t have outrun her tragic death, but I’ll always believe at least one person withheld key information.
Every time I think back on those dolled-up, sexy Halloween night pictures, I see red. Thanks for hearing me out.
#450 Juliemooly – My husband has a MACbook and he constantly eats over it while resting in his chair. One day he could NOT get his return key to work. I googled Youtube for videos on how to clean by taking off the keys and returning them without damage. It worked. (I found no crumbs but a screw from his eye glasses! LOL!). So, if you are a little nervous about removing keys, just check Youtube and you may find a step by step video for your type of computer. GOOD LUCK.

If the Bad Guy spent some time in jail between Morgan’s abduction and the recovery of her remains, he could have talked (boasted) about what he did to her. He had 3 months to get busted for something and spend at least a few nights locked up for it. He may have wanted to brag about his crime (or relieve some pent up kind of internal pressure over it), although I’m surprised the person(s) he could have boasted to wouldn’t have ratted him out sooner to get time advantages.
In reference to the limo driver I do know that the parking/traffic restriction on 10/17 included specific directions for limos, buses and other hired transport. I have a printed copy at work, and I’m holding down the couch right now at home, but I believe that all hired transportation had to be in the first few rows next to University Hall by 10:30 PM.
That being said, it would be difficult for the limo driver to pick up, harm and dump Morgan, and return to the JPJ area by 10:30. Also, the terrain at Anchorage Farm would proably be too much for a limo to handle (even a stretched SUV type).

The woman/bookkeeper who saw a woman walk across Massie Rd. did say she had tights on but over the knee boots. She saw her with 4 white guys and also saw her again about 9:15 in the RV Lot.
The Limo driver said he saw her walking with 3 BB Players. It would seem that the last people to see her were the BB Players. Supposedly the BB players left her about 9:20. I have not heard anything about 4 white guys coming forward to say that they saw or walked with a girl matching Morgans description to the RV Lot.
Dee did not wear tights and apparently had on short boots. I find it very odd that in Dee’s remarks about that night that she said she could not remember being in the RV Lot or she said something to the effect that “it could have been her”. WTH? I just found that to be a very strange answer. Dee and freinds either partied in the parking lot prior to Metallica or NOT.
It has been established that once you go in to the arena you cannot go out and get back in period. So did Dee and her party not go in until before Metallica started or not. How hard of a question is that to answer?
It would seem there were a lot of people in that RV Lot that night.

Concerned Mom, I agree I don’t think it’s a coincidence about RSO all of a sudden re-registering the day before Morgan was found. Hopefully LE was in the process of rounding ‘em up and that’s how that came about. It is kind of weird though.

Okay last post this morning. (I have to get it all in at one time before the fam gets antsy).
Back when I was feeling real hinky about the BB players, one of the main reasons was because I could not figure out why Morgan went across the road to the RV lot and then to the bridge. From pictures and maps it looks like its kind of out of the way if her original intention was to go to the bridge and she really wasn’t particularly “with” anyone. If the BB players are out of the picture, then the 4 guys have to be zoomed in on IMO. Hopefully that witness has given a thorough description of the vehicle to LE. I stated many many threads ago that if the BB players were not involved, they would not have left her alone in the lot, so IMO they saw her with another group. If so, then they too have given descriptions to LE. It’s just a matter of time now.

We awakened to 8″ of snow in N.C. It is so beautiful here! It also makes me grateful that Morgan has already been found. I have had to be away due to family issues, but still managed to read some posts.

Thanks for responding and clarifying. I couldn’t figure out who DD and was starting to chalk it up to letter overload! Good point about Dan possibly having access to Morgan’s debit card to get gas, although I recall reading somewhere Morgan had asked her dad for money to pay for gas. Who knows if that conversation really happened.

OT: Sorry to hear about your sinus troubles. A neti pot has worked for me with chronic sinus infections, but I’ve found something even better. In addition to the salt in the netipot, I add a 1/2 to 1 teaspoon of Xylitol. It is a natural sweetener found at health food stores. It helps prevent bacteria from sticking together. Hope you get better soon.
I have a question: Which houses in the ritzy subdivision would have a direct line of sight to where she was found? While they wouldn’t really be able to “see” her, they would be able to constantly “look” in that direction and remember what they had done. That spot had to be chosen for a reason. Would she have known someone from that subdivision enough to feel comfortable getting in the car?
I’m also curious as to why the other missing college student in the area did not receive much press.
SuzeeB, The last time I went to an event at JPJ, I paid attention to the RV lot. That night, it seemed close to full. Until Morgan’s story broke, I didn’t even know it existed. If she was walking across the U-Hall lot engaged in conversation with either the 4 guys or the basketball players, it wouldn’t have been much out of the way to cross the street with them while she continued her conversation. The lot is lit with portable lights, but I was surprised to notice just how far back it runs from the road. It’s a narrow lot as parking lots go, but fairly deep. I’ve always wondered how she could have been grabbed from inside the lot since it’s within easy sight distance of LE providing traffic control for the Copeley Road entrance to the U-Hall lot. Seeing how far the lot runs back from the road, I no longer think that would be impossible. If nothing happened in the lot, I can also see how she could have been spotted on both sides of the bridge. She could have walked out of the lot, heading toward the bridge, on the right side of the road. Perhaps she didn’t realize there wasn’t a sidewalk on both sides. She could have walked onto the bridge, and then decided that walking would be safer on the other side. Or, as some have speculated, maybe she needed to be on the other side to meet someone who she knew would be coming in off of 250/Ivy Road. If she was seriously impaired, would she have been aware enough to worry about the sidewalk? Just so many maybes and questions, and right now, no real answers.
In regards to how the perp got to the location where she was found, has anyone considered they came in via horseback?
I know this is probably way off the mark, but I have a place in Appomattox and people ride horses all over the place. Coming from the East Coast, I was sort of taken aback the first time I had to stop for horseback riders at the end of our road.

This case has me hooked! RED HILL because I believe the land and the location are so key…your posts are invaluable!!! I did see an article online about the police looking at that back route but I am convinced they will be able to tell which way the killer came to that spot and if it is a primary CS or a secondary. I am also convinced that whoever did this is in shock and VERY scaredthat Morgan was found. think about it everyone. If Morgan had not been found before this big storm she might have never been found. I do believe that it was Morgan that led the farmer to her before it was too late. she will make sure that her killer is caught because it is her body…the clues that are there and the very place the killer laid her that will give her away. Chad…best thoughts and wishes towards your father’s recovery. I sure wish I could post longer but I am borrowing someone’s computer and must log off now. Perhaps by the time I log back on there will be an arrest.

Regarding the RV lot, from the beginning I have felt that this was a real place of interest..I have said that I go to a lot of concerts and the RV lot is always full of people coming from all over the USA..it has lots of drugs and drinks..and lots of diversity going on it the trailers. If I was locked out of the concert and was Morgan’s age I might stumble over to where I knew people would be with a cover to keep me warm….now the fact that she was seen with the basketball players is really important…how many group of guys who see a very disoriented young woman walk away and say good-bye? Just does not sit well with me…these guys or even one of theses guys could of been hunters..lived in the area…knew this farm…even partied there..they could of had friends with a camper at the concert…so many ifs..LOCAL boy, man, is most real for her murder! Could even be more than one involved!
I also believe that Morgan’s friends have some bad KARMA coming their way…girls stick together…we don’t let frinds drive drunk…we don’t let our friend be alone unless there is a sure plan…I still have my same girlfriends from 8th grade…now 43 years…there are four of us..and we still take care of each other..even though we are miles apart…I really do believe that these girls were jealous of Morgan to some degree.

I know it is “probably” a moot point right now. And I realize many have said they have seen Dee and her party during LOG on video. But my point was when she was asked the question (by others who did not know or have this information) if that was her and her party in the RV Lot at 9:30, why, did she say she didn’t know “It could have been her”
If she/they were inside the Venue during the entire concert, How hard a question is that to answer.

I think they all have more to the story and that LE and the Harrington’s are aware of this. I think for the sake of Morgan and the investigation they never released any more information. I hope when all is said and done, and the person who did this is caught, we will all be able to say, Oh Okay, I understand that makes sense…
