Abemarle County, VA– On the 100 acre parcel of the over 700 acre farm owned by Nancy and David Bass where Morgan Harrington’s remains were recovered yesterday, there may be clues of the furry variety that lead to the identity of Morgan’s murderer.

Speaking on the condition of anonymity, a source inside the investigation has told blinkoncrime.com that questions raised here regarding private deer hunting on the farm have been verified by Virginia State Police.

Anchorage Farm owners do allow some private hunting members and maintains a list of those individuals permitted to do so.

From the time Morgan disappeared and presumably ended up in the hayfield, both archery and firearm deer seasons were in full swing.

Big Brother, or in this case Uncle Buck, was watching.

Camera

Blink, what is that ugly azz thing you say?

It might be sweet Morgan’s Ruth Cooper.

The Cuddeback Scouting Camera with Video and Infared technologies from Cabelas. This is one example of tree trunk and tree stand cutting edge technology that is motion activated with high resolution images on several settings.

Not to be outdone: The Moultrie Game Spy, which you can use to watch your prey like a surveillance screen in real time.

This is another example of the varieties that were in place the night of October 17th.

Morgan was found in a field, almost smack dab in the middle of surrounding tree line’s loaded with tree stands and tree cameras.

She was found without her camera and necklace; both of which have not been located to date.

VSP has been provided the list of known hunters at Anchorage Farm, and are in the process of interviewing them.

If you have hunted the property this season, VSP would appreciate a call:(434) 352-3467

Agree on the neti pot. I have one and got one for my boyfriend. It is wonderful, and actually kind of spiritual. But if you just want to drain your sinuses, they are definitley the way to go!!

I dont use saline in mine, I use natural salt that is sold near them in the natural food store.

Something to point out, which they teach you in yoga, once you have completed the neti pot on both nostrils, stand straight, raise arms over and then bend over and touch your toes. Close eyes, and let yourself hang, breathing deeply. This clears sinuses out even more.

Ok, back to the work of solving this crime! ;-)

this is prob way off but, WHAT IF the BG ditched the body in middle of the field in plain sight, rather than hiding in trees, in hopes the body would be found to corroborate alibi (of maybe the concert).

Mouse- I agree w/ roageo…join facebook. Contribute as much or as little you feel comfortable doing. My husband’s 92 year old nana has an account. She even managed to get the memo regarding the big privacy snafu.

I don’t know where everyone is posting so I’ll just plant myself here.

alexandra- just curious. Are you using the letters DB as initials for someone we are discussing or as an acronym for something else.

Blink…I was unaware that Morgan was seen on the bridge WITH her purse. The last I heard was that she was seen walking through the UHall parking lot w/ it. At the end of the first press conference, Rader describes the purse again. Why? Was it found somewhere and he needs someone to come forward?

J2k and those discussing dropping purse back at arena- IF BG went back to the arena to drop her purse, he would have to know where she was seen last. This could be one of the BB players or one of the 4 guys she was walking w/ or someone who was in the vicinity who was lurking around. If this person needed to come back to the arena to establish an alibi they could possibly use their “connections” to get themselves back in. I’m not even sure JPJ’s no re-admittance policy is consistently enforced. Morgan may have walked out to do “whatever” thinking she could charm her way back in. Maybe she had done this here before and it worked. I’ve also read where other patrons have gotten back in during other concerts at JPJ. If this is the case and RMC employees are just picking and choosing at whim who can be re-admitted, then they’ve got a problem.

If she were really HH, all of the other misfortune she experienced that night could be irrelevant. Purse is forgotten on hood of someone’s car, drops to the ground etc. Morgan starts walking to the bridge to HH (I prefer find a ride from a local student/unassuming BG). Gets in car…and BG takes his opportunity. Not that far fetched to speculate BG could happen upon vulnerable Morgan. I mean, why are we so attuned to the dangers of HH? But then, how does the used atm/credit card/combo card/extra card whatever card found w/ the purse fit in. Random BG who picks up HHing Morgan would not know where to drop the purse nor would he want/need to.

So we would be back to BG who is possibly random- or not- who knows where she was last seen w/ her purse who takes a chance and brings it back to the place she was last seen interacting w/people. I also have to wonder if BG could be someone who is pissed about being kicked and possibly mocked and whose advances to help a young pretty Morgan were REJECTED (possibly). Not to be made a fool of, this seemingly GG becomes our BG and he follows Morgan and.. I know too complicated, huh?.

Sorry for typing in circles and talking out of both sides of my mouth. Just wanted to throw it all out there.

Also, Blink…you wanted to know if anyone could confirm when Gil saw Morgan’s remains before offering an opinion regarding what happened to her. I can’t give you that info (because I don’t know) but can you share why it would matter (w/out divulging your theory or what you know)? Thanks.

I have not been able to glean any information about Crozet from known facts in this case, but people on this site hint at things, so someone has theories or persons of interest that they arent’ sharing details about for whatever reason.”

In some of the very first reports it was said Crozet and not Harrisonburg. Take a look at some of the earliest post of Blink here about Morgan’s disappearance.

And another point: In all the police reports about sightings of Morgan, it was said: “someone matching Morgans description” or something alike…

Could it had been Dee, and not Morgan…? Not all the time, but for some of the sightings…?

Hi Mom3.0, glad you are staying the course.

Do you mean DC rather than DD?

  16. J2K says:

    Mom3.0 -
By noting MH had several circles of tight friends – some in BBurg, others in Hburg, more in Roanoke, I was mainly getting at: not too many friends, that we’re aware of anyway, in Cville, as per LE and the Harringtons, who expressly stated as much. That makes it much less likely she’d “bump into” a friend or know who to call/where to head in that town – or that someone living there knew that she was coming that night and plotted accordingly. Certainly possible that “local” and “known-to-her perp” are one in the same (*if* she knew perp), but just less likely in Cville, wherein she mainly just attended concerts here and there with her friends from elsewhere.

    Alright, y’all: on the No-Re-Entry tip -
    Sneak in/get waved in/use a spare ticket/buy another ticket…
Sure – and you could probably slip a side-door guy a $20, too, but I’m trying to keep the parameters consistent here. *That* particular new, state-of-the-art arena (built 2006) had Tight-Ass entry-control by all accounts. There’s a chance the perp(s) easily slipped right back in after (purposely or accidentally) doing the deed/hiding the body, but not bloody likely.

    yoshi -
Ain’t nothin’ wrong with long posts, am I right?! … yosh? am I, um … right?

I’ve been back and forth on the relevance of the purse. Highly stupid to toss it back in the lot after the fact, but I don’t know what kind of mindset we’re dealing with. That said, the BB players and the possible four dudes she was with in the RV area pre-9:30 may not be the only ones who saw her there/interacted with her there; they’re just the only ones publicly known (or known to LE, for that matter). I am still giving the squint-eye to those four dudes… Anybody else think they were part of her post-arena night – even briefly? Significant at all? Or one of them?

Or did they get debunked like Granny when I wasn’t looking?

    juliemooly,
Thank you for that info. No spiked heel. Hmmm still could have been removed to prevent Morgan from using as weapon. Also, those boots could have been taken off to swing or hit at perp by Morgan.
I agree clunky heels are usually more comfortable/warmer than spikey heels. But still could have been taken off by Morgan inorder to warm her feet and get comfortable. Do you know if they were zippered or pull ons?

  20. NGfromBoston says:

#368—–Thanks so much for that summation and all of that clarification on possible/most likely scenarios of crime scene/time frame of perp. Not to sound like the village Idiot—but sometimes for reasons of privacy—many of the postings of individuals initials and abbreviations for things on here really throw me off. While many of us following these cases from start to finish can figure most of it out—sometimes when you miss or don’t know one—not many want to break the ice, IMO and ask “who is x,y,z” “What does a,b,c ” mean, etc. to risk looking idiotic. I figure LE on the actual case, Blink and other investigatory agencies have enough on their hands without contending with amatuer armchair slueths and the like.

For most of us, our hearts are in the right place and thank you “everyone” for pitching in across the board with all of the tips, facts, helpful information. I am sure the Harringtons, Blink- all the search groups, LE and all the family & friends affected and involved with many of these cases appreciate helpful citizens and community members more than their words can say. We tell Blink all the time how fabulous she is…inside and out—but so many times words just never seem enough. So, for us,—it is our donations to organizations like TES, etc. that have to speak for us & our continued support—- or us actually volunteering time in search missions if we are able is a wonderful act of charity and kindess as well.

Anyway—sorry for rambling post—Again- justt want to give props and blessings to all dedicated souls everywhere. From what is on here–it appears as if “we” are closing in on the Perp…regardless of whose actual theory is the correct one.

It’s all about the victims and bringing them home. The part that gets me every time is when I/you/We … run what may have been the final scenario for them (every single victim-but especially the little children) through our minds…it’s then that we realize those tears that come to our eyes are from our only hope and desparate prayer that God was with them then.

=( Crap. did it again. So, yeah- thanks “#368″ Female LE—in some odd way your post brought me comfort on this case.

I haven’t seen this posted so here goes. If in the two days since Morgan was found we all know about cameras in trees than doesn’t it stand to reason somebody familiar with the land would not go there to do the dirty deed? Doesn’t make sense to me. I think this might have been somebody a bit familiar, like going to a party there, but not really in touch with how everything operates…like cameras in trees.

This week I watced the Natalee Holloway movie. Reading coopers post above about the date rape drug made me thing of this. What if the date rape drug was given to Morgan who was drinking alcohol. Would it be possible she might have died of a siezure after convulsing like they think Natalee did per a bit of a confession from her suspected killer Joran?

  25. skyler says:

I don’t know where to post, either — I am way behind in reading, so sorry if I’m repeating — Blink, sorry to hear you’re not well — pop a couple of sudafed — even generic brand — you’ll feel better in 20 mins — or — go eat Mexican and drain them the organic way : )

But in re: crossing the fences — okay — you’re the perp — Morgan is gone — your adrenelin is maxing out — you hop the fence, lay Morgan on the ground and pull her under the barbed wire fence — she is very thin and will easily fit — it takes a lot of effort, but you drag the body that distance — again, I know it takes a lot of effort — but it’s the middle of the night, it’s dark out — new moon — cloudy, misty — people are not watching outside — it takes some effort — but doable !!

    (sorry, Morgan)

or she managed to get out of the guy’s vehicle and was running for her life — I just feel at some point she got away and she was running away from him — he caught her and there was no turning back —

All we need is one little piece of DNA evidence, and slam, perp going to be wearing orange for a looooooooonnnnnnnnnnggggggggggg time : )

  30. anotherB says:

Hello, just a few scattered thoughts on the complexities of this case. Hope this makes sense!

Date rape drugs can cause a person to lose consciousness, but they can also cause someone to do things which are completely out of character, such as handing over a credit card along with a PIN for instance, or getting into a stranger’s car. They are not only used to facilitate a rape. And they are not necessarily administered by men.

Looking at all the evidence that was made public, it is quite obvious that Morgan was disoriented. The most likely explanation for this is that she was drugged (it really doesn’t sound like alcohol). Someone might have done this to get hold of her camera or necklace, and did not succeed. And in consequence she ended up outside and fell victim to another crime.

My point is: we do not have to find an explanation for all her actions. Some of it may be completely unrelated, and some may be down to the fact that she was in no way compos mentis at that point. Her killer could equally be someone she knew, or a complete stranger. An we may be dealing with two crimes rather than one.

PS: I agree, the killer is familiar with the area where her body was found, and he believes it was very smart to leave her at the far end of an adjacent property.

  31. Observer says:

Cooper: IMHO, your posts are some of the most outstanding I’ve seen to date on any of these MH threads. Your obvious expertise in matters of criminal investigation is exceptional and invaluable. And justice he shall face, sure as God made little green apples and the sun will rise tomorrow morning in the East…

[The apple doesn't fall far from the tree.] Dads are the best….speaking as a full-grown woman (of a, uh, “seasoned” age:))) who will forever be one of “daddy’s little girls”.

Observer: Oh thank you so much! Coming from you, that means a lot. I did not want to get too much into myself, as I want the discussion/focus to stay on Morgan, and her family. But, he had a total hip replacement. Sad to say, he went into the surgery with an already congestive heart failure diagnosis, and he has contracted pneumonia.
Today I learned that he is not cooperating with the nurses, meds, etc… isn’t listening to even the pretty nurses, which is very unusual for him, and he is confused. He may have had a stroke. He has never been a good patient.

    Blink,

I keep coming back to the limo driver. When I brought this up earlier, you said he had a solid alibi. Do you know anything about him?

This guy was watching Morgan and could probably leave the concert without a problem — as long as he was back by the time it ended — at which point he could have pitched Morgan’s purse.

I’m going back to an old theory, but if a limo pulled up while Morgan was on the bridge, she may have accepted a ride from him. Heck, she may even have stuck out her thumb as a joke, never expecting him to stop (though I doubt that Morgan was in a joking mood at that point).

A limo would have been very conspicuous, but I’ve seen plenty of “limos” that were really Town Cars or some other black four-door.

Of course, if there are witnesses who saw him there the entire time or if he had to be in contact with “dispatch,” this theory will go back into my circular file.

i still wonder if that ticket was meant for xbf instead of dan c. but the fight the night before prompted morg or xbf to cancel. he goes there anyway cuz he wants to see who she takes instead, but how does she get outside and hows does he know unless he’s stalking her,or he’s the one she was texting or both.the texting should tell it all. does the texting contain the lure,if the lure was prearranged,it had to have had something to do with getting back in before metallica took stage, hence a connection ,ie ,knows or works for band or arena,if there was no lure outside ,could he have located her inside stalked her to bathroom and usherd her out the exit as she came out of the bathroom, but wouldnt she tell this to tickets when after trying reentry.

  42. skyler says:

    >>>j2k I’ve been back and forth on the relevance of the purse. <<<

Jay-bird, wasn’t it you many many posts ago that suggested perhaps she put the purse on a vehicle and when the vehicle drove off, the purse simply fell and scattered its contents …..

At first, I didn’t think that was probable, but maybe you were correct — when my child was small and had to be in a car seat, I put my purse on the roof of the car to put him in and forgot about it and that exact thing happened — stuff went everywhere —

we don’t know why LE has discounted the purse as relevant, but ….

Your thinking goblet was overflowing at that point, perhaps it should be revisited ….

  43. Mom3.0 says:

J2K, Hi just found your post, and I hope you are right about nothing being wrong with long posts otherwise…. YOU ARE IN T R O U B L E

I keep going back to the woman who was interviewed at least 5 times. She said she was late to the concert in time for Metallica saw a young woman matching Morgan’s description (sans tights)walking with 4 males in black, walking away from arena at 9:15 I believe said she encountered same group in uhall parking lot,and thought they were going to party before Metallica. To my knowledge these sightings have not been debunked. Other than having no tights may still be Morgan…..Right? Couldn’t have been Dee, as we saw video of her in concert at this time.

Any one have a link to this witness account?

  44. Mom3.0 says:

Mony, some one brought to my attention possible Morgan shirt was found today or Wed. If true ,and is Morgan’s what purpose is served by discarding it there? Why not bury it,burn it? So strange.

Forgot to mention brought that info (on shirt) over from latest Morgan thread.

  46. Kelly J says:

Bob-dog, we posted the same sentiment as you a while back and hope that he was looked at carefully. The limo driver was quick to thrust himself into the case as a witness pointing towards others and in turn would likey have been able to attract Morgan with a “safe” ride in her time of need. He would also have been able to bring the purse back to UVA without much notice and would definetly know his way around the million dollar houses where Morgan was found.

  47. acho says:

Hi Laura (LC) @436, unless someone else can chime in, I’m afraid the answer to each of your questions is “We don’t know.” I think LE does, though.

Chad, I am just catching up on this thread and then I am going to try to stay only on the most-recent one. Anyone? But I just saw Skyler’s message and tracked back to see yours. I’m sorry about your dad; I can tell it worries you. Skyler could be right about the meds, though; getting them off in the slightest can cause everything to go haywire. Hoping they found the right antibiotic for the pneumonia, at least! This is about the third case I’ve heard this week of an older person having a pneumonia complication in hospital. Hang in there.

Chad, I’m so sorry that your dad isn’t doing well, but I second Skyler’s advice to check his meds. Also it takes quite awhile for the effects of the anaethestic to pass out of an older person’s system. A friend’s mom ended up in a nursing home after a hip replacement, totally out of it. Luckily, someone on staff suggested calling in a geriatric specialist. Said specialist changed some meds, took her completely off many others. In a matter of days her mind began to clear and in a few weeks she was home just as clear-headed and competent as she was before the surgery.

I’m sending prayers and lots of positive thoughts your way.

Hello Laura, don’t be intimidated. Good question we are basing the card use on Dr. Harrington’s comment when asked if it was used after 9:30. J2k pointed out it could have been used by the DD and not the perp. We don’t know where or for what or by whom. We are speculating. But we all pray they have footage of the BG using it. Hope this answers your ?

Mom3.0, as far as I remember we were not told whether Morgan’s boots were zip-on or pull-on. I just remember being told they were knee-high, black, and chunky-heeled, and specifically not spike-heeled.

What more than pressurized air can I used to get crumbs out of my laptop They seem to have moved out from under my m to under my question mark.
