Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Macaluso Out – New Discovery Released

Orlando, FL– Announced this Sunday evening, California Attorney Todd Macaluso will not be Casey Anthony’s Valentine; or her attorney.

Jose-casey-and-todd-macaluso

As predicted exclusively at blinkoncrime.com, Macaluso informed Casey and her defense team that he would not be able to represent her in the murder charge against her due to entering the alternative discipline program with the California Bar Association (CBA).

However, Mr. Macaluso has been participating in the ADP for several months. In fact, he has handled other cases, several of them, in the meantime.

Macaluso, dubbed the Madoff of Law at blinkonrime.com, had pending disciplinary charges against him he neglected to inititially disclose when he submitted his pro hac vice to Judge Stan Strickland last March.

Blinkoncrime has learned from a source inside the CBA, that Macaluso reached an agreement last week with the CBA to voluntarily take a license suspension beginning in April, for an undisclosed period of time, in order to avoid a disciplinary trial on the current charges brought against him last year.

Why allow him to continue to practice law both in Cali and Florida and all of a sudden pull the plug? New Complaint.

An additional complaint was filed last year that has reached elevated status within the CBA and became the “proverbial straw” as it were. It involves Macaluso’s distribution of a settlement, and the fact that he has already admitted the offense in Oregon, where the lawsuit is being litigated currently.

Hundreds of Discovery Docs to Be Released This Morning

Announced Yesterday, the State Attorneys Office will be releasing several CD’s of new discovery after 8:30 AM EST this morning. It is expected to contain video of the special Henkel duct tape believed to be the source of the tape found on the skull of Caylee Marie Anthony, and other documents and photos.

Check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates and links to the discovery.

The newly released discovery could contain not only the ‘smoking gun’ but could it also indicate where the child died?

I put a post on Valhall’s site, Valhall noticed and was bothered by the Q66 discoloration on it’s outer surface (‘backing’) and when I first saw that photo, found it confusing for how much it looked like an adhesive, rather than ‘shiny’ metallic backing side.

Closer look, this gas can importance may be revealed and maybe this discolouration is not only grime and shed dirt, but could it actually be a section of the Q66 (photo detail gives about half the whole tape width) that has decomposition fluids on it? If so, this would seal the case shut, wouldn’t it? And then what about the rest of the tape? This tape, if put on, not by George as he argues, but by Casey, that ties the older model metal gas container (George’s sentimental fav. can) to the trunk of Casey’s car and ties the body to the trunk.

We have not seen any photos of the underside/adhesive side, of that tape. Q66 could have latent(s) images still possible.

This Q66 photo is a special technique to show surface characteristics, and it reduces glare from lighting above the tape or from the camera lens direction. Because of reduced glare, details of the stain are allowed to be seen. Compare this photo to the tape on the can, photo.

Further– http://www.wftv.com/slideshow/news/22578565/detail.html (see the blue light car seat details and compare to the regular lighting photos of the same stains on the baby car seat)

The photos are of the baby car seat and illuminate the stain areas under ALS.

Could this indicate past problems the baby had while in the car seat? If an accident in the seat portion, what explains the illumination/stain on the seatbelt shoulder padding?

Could the car and car seat been involved in the death? Is this why George HAD to tell a story of seeing the child alive and being put into her car seat on June 16th?

Could this latest discovery dump be the most important so far, in connecting the dots between Casey, the death of her baby, the baby’s death and the car?

Kleat and everyone, I cant thank you enough for keeping the dialog so I can get 10 minutes of Caylee thoughts in. I am having a drastic time constraint trying to manage caseload. Please forgive me if I can’t get to questions personally. I’m here, and hope to really review this latest data soon.

Premeditation jumps out in regards to the knife found in the car that has adhesive and strands of duct tape. It is obvious that something sharp has to be used to cut the duct tape, and one has to be prepared when one is going to use duct tape in order to smother one’s child. Grab a roll of duct tape that is convenietly laying out in the open in the garage, and grab a steak knife from the kitchen on the way out the door with your toddler in tow. After you smother your child to death, the knife gets misplaced in the car for investigators to find with all the evidence. The duct tape didn’t cut itself. She had to make sure she had something that would cut through the tape. I would call the knife the smoking gun. What explaination could the defense come up with that explains a steak knife (from the house?) being in the car with residue of duct tape? And the little angel Caylee was found with duct tape over her face at the dump site. C’mon now.

Now the evidence found in the carseat has me most baffled. Am I befuddled in my thinking that the carseat was never a topic of concern until this doc dump? (Evidence wise – that is?) The car seat is a perfect restraint and with duct tape to bind the hands, Caylee couldn’t fight at all. Duct tape to silence her screams. Death in a matter of minutes. Heinous yes.

    Kleat,
I have a question for you. This is just speculation, but reading your notes made me think.
How about if the discoloration of the tape on the gas can and the discoloration on the Q66 match. Maybe you are right in thinking that KC placed the tape on the gas can.
Maybe this particular tape roll was hanging out in the shed for a while, and this dirty environment caused a discoloration. Maybe KC used the first little strip on the gas can, then left the rest of the roll in her car. She maybe then used the next little strip for the first piece to be used across the mouth. Maybe this piece, Q66, is the first of the three strips used on Caylee.
Of course, this may be just hooey.

  4. reinin says:

It seems to me that there is not a DNA match or a fingerprint match, because wouldn’t that just make the defense have to plea? Anyone??
If there is a questionable partial latent match, then the defense could try to dispute that, but…

The LE and the prosecutors appeared/appear totally convinced that KC did this, so there is something, we just do not know what it is yet. I have confidence that they will prevail.

As far as the players on the defense side seeming to consolidate at DePaul University, I would like to see A Lyon in charge, so that there will be no reason for an appeal based on incompetent counsel.

I can’t believe she has let Baez continue. The look on her face when he was speaking in court last time says it all to me. Baez needs to step aside, he is so out of his league and he doesn’t even know it. Unfortunately, Lyon seems proud when the judges in her previous cases are annoyed with her.
I think she thinks that means she is doing her job.

  5. Muse says:

Good to read you, Kleat. I also have that nagging about the car seat. During the State depo, the State is very interested in where the car seat covers are and Cindy goes to great lengths explaining it away as usual. Was there a car seat cover that went missing? I think lit stain(s) on the seatbelt/shoulder pad are a red flag that there was some trouble in the car seat. I still can’t shake the image of Casey driving that death-laden car around with Mama doll sitting in the car seat. It gives me chills. Mama doll saw it all.

Blink, you bring great dignity to your vocation. One step at a time. Be well. :)

  6. Steadychick says:

Reinin and Kleat — the discussion about the discoloration of the tape on the gas can and whether or not Casey put the tape there wouldn’t have made a lot of sense before, because George was in possession of the cans since June 24th, and surely he would have mowed the grass and placed his own tape on the cans when getting them refilled. Then I remembered — didn’t Blink tell us several months ago that there was something hinky about George’s story of getting the gas cans back? Did he really get them back on the 24th or sometime much later. Was this just a story that the A’s fabricated to prove that George saw into the trunk and there was no Caylee there? Did Casey, in fact, place the tape there? Could there be a latent print on the gas can tape?

Blink and all of the great posters here… just something that has been gnawing at the back of my mind since last night when Blink answered my question about Marti McKenzie stepping down as the PR for the Defense and wanted to put it out here for anyone to dissect…

Blink dropped the hint that the reason that Marti is gone is Cash, Interrupted…LOL (I loved that response) What is the possibility that the money is drying up for the Defense? I know that it has been stated that Baez is being funded by some anonymous donor (maybe Geraldo) but I just have a nagging feeling that Baez made the money from selling photos of Caylee and the market ain’t too good for those photos anymore.
So maybe Lyon is in this for the long haul and is aware of the lack of money so she is taking the reigns for the Defense and “trimming the fat” to get rid of any excesses… like Marti.

If Lyon does take over the Defense and declares Casey to be indigent, can Baez still play hide the money trail?

That story also says that the A’s are broke, too. And that the A’s wanted to get rid of Baez “early on” and that Brad Conway tried to facilitate this request by shopping for Lawyers that would accept payment after they are paid for books, movie deals… as if they have a story that anyone would believe… much less pay for..

The knife was used for fabric? One of her outfits before she went out partying?

Poor baby Caylee. My head just spins.

Is it still anyones belief that the tape was put on Caylee due to the “O” factor and to prevent (Oh God) insects from …you know what I mean. Then the heartshaped sticker?

Would she have killed Caylee at home after everyone left the morning AFTER the argument? or left in a fit of rage after Cindy and her got into an argument…slept in the car..fumed..went back to the house and “borrowed” the duct tape after everyone had left for work the next morning? She definetely had a plan that she at one point and time was planning on carrying out. (Searches on the internet)

Did she hate her mom so much that she thought Caylee was better off dead than to let Cindy raise her? Knowing that she would never be completely free (like she is now) from her mom’s grasp if Cindy had complete care of Caylee. Cindy still telling her what to do (control freak)
With time closing in on her “vacation” she told all her friends she was taking…what was she to do with Caylee in tow. Cindy would have def told her that if she was going to take a vacation..Caylee better damn well be included. And how many more strokes can George have? How many more times can she tell her friends that Cindy caught him having an affair? How long would it be before everyone stopped believing all the lies? Whats a poor me to do? (GOD, I’m making myself sick)
    Ok…thats it. I’m done. Sorry ya’ll. UGH!

the bottom line (geez) I sound like cindy. but the bottomline is that irregardless of all this information it’s sickening to know that cindy knew and knows her daughter killed her grandaughter. Its just not normal behaviours that she has displayed she has dishonored/disrespected caylee and her beautiful memory. all cindys behaviours/comments that she made in the begining and her my space posting tell the truth. How could she turn on caylee more than anything how can she live with the ugliness in her soul it’s just pitiful excuse for granparents that claimed to have loved caylee all conditional now because of the money. The world is digusted with her as we all here are tooo.

If I asked a question, it’s probably because I actually want to know. Is it common knowledge? You seem to imply as such.

  18. Kleat says:

reinin, the Q66 is the gas can piece. The yellow discolouration or coating of something on Q66 is under a regular light source, just a low angle. What we don’t have (maybe need to take another look at the ALS photos) is ALS on Q66. The yellowing seems similar to the staining on Caylee’s car seat.

Yes, about the timing and George cutting lawn etc. LE did pick up the gas cans quite early, wasn’t it the end of July? Or? (will have to check). Maybe George did not take time to do lawns once he learned Caylee was missing, maybe one of the neighbours or friends helped the family out in that regard– one would hope they had some good friends to do that. Maybe the mower had more than enough gas in it, to do the small backyard job. And then there was all the disruption in yard routines with LE, K9s, etc.

    Ok… what did Bees post!! …. tinyurl… really…. I hope it’s cute….

  23. Kleat says:

Karen, yes… but they only say the adhesive is not from the duct tape. The cotton fibres still could be, or not. I’m thinking maybe those cotton fibres have nada to do with the direct evidence and maybe someone tried to clean the knife of it’s stick substance, someone like the same person who washed the knife. (maybe a cotton swab or cotton ball, or all cotton cloth (because polyester fibres in a cloth weren’t apparent as they would be much more uniform– all those fibres do look like cotton) to dry the knife). No one would see that tiny bit of residue with the naked eye. Maybe the photos are more concerned with the residue on each of the teeth and maybe there’s much more on other teeth we haven’t seen.

  26. Kleat says:

WESH just updated their last CA defense running out of money story with:

“Judge Turns Down Prosecution’s Request For Private Hearing

The judge in the case against Casey Anthony has turned down a request from the prosecution for a private hearing without the defense present.

Jose Baez told WESH 2 that Judge Stan Strickland has ruled that Anthony’s defense should be allowed to be present at that closed door hearing.

In court papers, the prosecution said they had new evidence they felt they could only share behind closed doors without the defense or media present.

Strickland has yet to set a date on when that hearing will happen. It is unknown what that evidence is.”

Baez should be careful what he wished for. I wonder if the state will abandon the “in cam” request since they cannot meet ex parte anyway.
    B

  27. Kleat says:

Of course, leave it to another media outlet to round out the story:

OS reports a bit different perspective– looks like their reporters actually read the order:

“A judge in the Casey Anthony case ruled today he will review behind closed doors certain “materials and information” that have “come into the possession of law enforcement.”

This comes after prosecutors requested to meet privately with Orange Circuit Court Judge Stan Strickland to discuss the details. The judge denied meeting with them alone — but agreed to review the materials.

Strickland wrote in his order that the state can file a sealed request that explains why the judge should delay the release of the information to the defense and the public and how long that delay should last.

“We understand the courts directive and we will abide by them,” said the State Attorney’s Office spokesman Randy Means.”

so shaeffer stated that possibly baez being a new green/wet behind the ears attorney(my opinion). Did not budget the money properly to make it last. HMMMM flying to and fro to heraldo and other shows was not a necessary expense!! so now it seens that they are financialy embarassed .
makes me wonder what else baez did with the money did he spend some wildly ?
oh and casey did take an album of pictures to his office to sell when she was on bail as someone here has posted about her daily trips to his office. Well that tells alot since we know baez is not a seasoned attorney and this is his first time in charge of that much money. Soon andrea if not yet will grab him by his ears and make him listen to her.

  30. Kleat says:

WESH’s story– sorry for posting that verbatim… I don’t think they proof read what they wrote (ie: they said judge turns down request for hearing, then say Strickland has yet to set a date on when that hearing will happen. Seems the state would file a sealed request for a delay, not a hearing.

  35. Kleat says:

Yep Blink, and the timing… the defense would have this week’s discovery before we had it, the pressure is on. The judge may just think it’s time for the state to do a reveal and Baez won’t have a leg to blame on if he wished it wouldn’t come out at this rather difficult ‘crossroads’ for the defense.

I think casey killed caylee like I said to spite her mom but also to seek freedom from cindys control. Cindy has a need to control everyone she rules her house and everyone like a man with balls. She did it in a rage, wasnt hard for her to do she hadnt bonded with caylee so it seems. She must have gotten off watching caylee take her last breath !! makes me sad . It makes me angry that caylee had to be born into that kind of family ! she deserved better than being cindys grandaughter. they didnt deserve her they disrespected her! turned their back on her! when they seen that caylees death could be a gravy train. they are dispicable beyond dispicable. lying lying obstructing justice ! I was talking to my mom and comparing her to beth holloway the other day. What a contrast ! I have such respect for beth and how she handled her grief than you see cindy and you see such contrast! One has lots of class while the other is just totaly dispicable.

The statement made by the new spokesperson regarding the dump site and what a well used garbage area it is…….well funny thing, yesterday at SM a couple of us had a discussion about a picture of Caylee. It’s been around a long time but when it was blown up a bit, the background clearly showed what looked exactly like the woods Caylee was found in. If the photo is genuine (not photoshopped) it puts kc hanging out in the woods enough to be taking pictures. Sure there are a lot of woods around but …
This has NOT been verified, it’s just my observation and opinion.

  47. C.J. says:

Chica – There is a huge difference between Beth Holloway and the Anthonys. The one that sticksout in my mind the most is Ms. Holloway actually looked for her daughter and she never tried to mislead people into thinking that Natalie was still alive.

  48. MJ says:

Unfortunately the A’s may not be thru making money off Caylee. I may be wrong but if they’re not convicted of any crime I think that they can sell movie rights, story rights, anything. They may have to wait until this has come to it’s conclusion but they may never have to make an honest wage again.
Will they even bother to pick up the tab for kc’s future defense? They’re pretty greedy at heart so maybe not.
It’s appalling but this case has already been the magnet for most of the players in it because of the potential of future payola.
