Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Macaluso Out – New Discovery Released

Orlando, FL– Announced this Sunday evening, California Attorney Todd Macaluso will not be Casey Anthony’s Valentine; or her attorney.

Jose-casey-and-todd-macaluso

As predicted exclusively at blinkoncrime.com, Macaluso informed Casey and her defense team that he would not be able to represent her in the murder charge against her due to entering the alternative discipline program with the California Bar Association (CBA).

However, Mr. Macaluso has been participating in the ADP for several months. In fact, he has handled other cases, several of them, in the meantime.

Macaluso, dubbed the Madoff of Law at blinkonrime.com, had pending disciplinary charges against him he neglected to inititially disclose when he submitted his pro hac vice to Judge Stan Strickland last March.

Blinkoncrime has learned from a source inside the CBA, that Macaluso reached an agreement last week with the CBA to voluntarily take a license suspension beginning in April, for an undisclosed period of time, in order to avoid a disciplinary trial on the current charges brought against him last year.

Why allow him to continue to practice law both in Cali and Florida and all of a sudden pull the plug? New Complaint.

An additional complaint was filed last year that has reached elevated status within the CBA and became the “proverbial straw” as it were. It involves Macaluso’s distribution of a settlement, and the fact that he has already admitted the offense in Oregon, where the lawsuit is being litigated currently.

Hundreds of Discovery Docs to Be Released This Morning

Announced Yesterday, the State Attorneys Office will be releasing several CD’s of new discovery after 8:30 AM EST this morning. It is expected to contain video of the special Henkel duct tape believed to be the source of the tape found on the skull of Caylee Marie Anthony, and other documents and photos.

Check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates and links to the discovery.

Prosecutors learned about Casey’s jailhouse confession only recently, and filed a motion on Feb. 3 asking for a private meeting with the judge presiding over pre-trial hearings in the case.

According to the motion, prosecutors want the judge to delay their obligation to reveal the information to Casey’s attorneys as they continue to evaluate the new evidence.

Casey, who has pleaded not guilty, is facing the death penalty. Her admission could provide the key proof that leads to her conviction.

Plus I guess all the folks who got worked up over thoughts of the Ants making millions were off a bit. Though it wouldn’t surprise me that a lawyer would say, “Hey, I got you a $40,000 deal to talk to CBS. Here’s my bill for my efforts: $41,000.”

I am totally confused. I thought that I had read somewhere that George was drawing a salary from the foundation or kid finders of around $40,000 and that they were collecting partial rent payments from Lee. I am totally confused. Something is up. I don’t think that the cruise cost very much money. Somewhere I had heard or read that it was approximately $300.00 per person, for a short 3 day cruise. Not unheard of. I am just confused about the money stuff.

A Delaware pediatrician has been indicted on 471 felony counts in the alleged sexual abuse of his patients, prosecutors announced Monday.

The Sussex County grand jury indictment accuses Dr. Earl Bradley, 56, who has had a practice in Lewes, Delaware, for more than 10 years, of victimizing 103 children — all but one girls. The charges range from rape and sexual exploitation of a child to endangering child welfare and assault.

    http://www.cnn.com/2010/CRIME/02/22/delaware.pediatrician/index.html

I wanted to comment on this off topic because I had a similar situation happen to my family. I know this is personal so I hope I don’t offend anyone. We grew up with a pedophile pediatrician by the name Daniel Schrine. He practiced from the mid 60′s till the 90′s, when he was eventually caught and only served 5 years (he as even caught in the airport with a wig on!) I have alot of memories that make me feel so uncomfrotable..even till this day. I remember lots and know there is more that I will never remember. I grew up with an older bro and a younger sis. None of us told! None! He would seperate us from our mom and there was no nurse present. At age 13, I told my mom he was wierd and didn’t want to go back. My family left. It was not a surprise when he was arrested. He molested hundreds if not thousands of children.
This event shaped my life forever. Schrine was linked to the Franklin’s Cover up – along with our weather man. I learned of this conspiracy theory while being a counselor to a client named Troy Bonner in a methadone clinic. A light bulb went off in my head! Now everything my family had been thru made sense. If you have never heard of this there are tons of info- links even to Johnny Gosch. Whom I met his mother, Noreen, in my quest to find out what happened to my brother plus helping her out.

  9. soulsister says:

I have one last comment on this topic. When I had my first son, 16 years ago, my initial visit with our pediatrician was one for the books. I told him he would never be alone with my son, what happened to me, and that if he ever touched him, he would have to deal with me! He was my pediatrician for 15 years! One more.. recently I had one of the most embarassing moments but funny on a wierd level. I have severe anxiety in doc offices..not all the time but some. I had a new gyno last month. I start freaking and telling her about this doc. I end up crying and getting a hug from my gyno!!! Ever been hugged after a pelvic?? funny but sad huh? I can tell you some things haunt you forever and pop up at the worst times.
hope my sharing didn’t seem out of place. thanks for letting me talk about something painful.

I have been following this case from the beginning and was wondering if anyone thinks that possibly Caylee fell asleep in her car seat while Casey was driving to her boyfriends house and Casey left her in the car rather than bring a fussy toddler into her boyfriends house.
That would mean it wasn’t premeditated and could explain why Casey can’t keep her story straight. She panicked when she finally returned to her car and attempted to cover up the crime rather than call for help.

If I didn’t know better I’d swear they’re getting ready for round 2 of this bull match. I hope and pray they proceed and find justice for ZG (who’s case, will in turn, solve this horrible murder). George and Cindy probably assumed they can now just sit back and relax till the murder trial… but guess what?, ZG still sits at the wayside and needs closure too. Slowly, but surely, the bull will throw those who can’t hold on. From the looks of Blinks list… that makes 3 or more on the ground. Who might be next?

  18. semo68 says:

    Responding to #10 tp-

Personally, I can’t buy the “covering up an accident” theory. I MIGHT be able to, except…

those THREE pesky pieces of duct tape. Assuming Caylee is dead from an accident, ONE piece of tape would be sufficient to imply a kidnapping. THREE, especially on a toddler’s small face and extending into her hair (and holding her jawbone in place well after complete decomposition) IMO indicate extreme rage and anger. She wanted to shut that poor baby up, permanently.

I really, REALLY hope I’m wrong. Hope that someone can provide some sort of proof that Caylee died in a more gentle, humane (geez, can’t believe I’m saying that) way.

Casey murdered her own innocent, defenseless daughter because, (and in Casey Anthony’s own words) “maybe I really am a spiteful bitch”.

    Except I’d remove the “maybe”.

As far as George working, the man has not held a steady job since he was a deputy. Everybody knows he is lazy and really does not want to work.

Regarding Cindy, she should lose her nursing license.

  20. C.J. says:

#10 TP – Initially I thought the same thing. Casey forgot Caylee locked up in a hot car during one of her hot party sprees. Then I thought she was not paying attention and Caylee drowned in the swimming pool, but as the case progressed and more evidence surfaced the whole act reeks of premeditation and murder. Casey either drowned that child on purpose or duct-taped her face and threw her into the trunk to rot. And she’s going down for it too. Justice for Caylee.

  21. Leslee S. says:

MarcyDancer, I read the same thing that you did on a $40,000 salary from the foundation for George & there was a salary for Cindy, too, I believe. These people are up to something. They could have paid their mortgage but chose not to. They received, I believe, $10,000 or so for their CBS gig & it was reported that they gave Conway $3,000 (He acts as their agent). That would leave $7,000. We shall see soon if Casey’s fraud fines are paid. If they are not paid, then Casey will lose any monies in that account & any future monies put in that account to be paid toward fines. If the fines are paid, I am so hoping that we hear who paid them.

  22. Thinker says:

I find it oddly interesting that the same group of people who went to New York to discuss a book deal (Cindy, George, Conway, Dominic Casey) all have properties in foreclosure at the same time. Are they dumping/abandoning assets for some reason?

Dominic Casey abruptly moved out of his office space and his home in Longwood is in foreclosure.

Wells Fargo Bank filed foreclosure on May 8, 2009 on Bradley Conway and John Sundin, owners of the condo.
Final Judgement was entered on Jan 5, 2010 for $ 312,202.58
Sale date was Feb 5, 2010
Bid amount was $ 100.00 from Federal National Mortgage Assoc. and they got Certificate of Title on Feb 19, 2010 (just last Friday)
Sooooo that means Conway and Mr. Sundin still owe the bank $312,102.58 … and they no longer own a condo ….

  23. Kleat says:

Not paying, or attempting to get their lawyer to negotiate some extraordinary circumstance ‘terms’ to save their house, might mean they were not intending to stay, so why pay. It might help the indigent status for Casey, somehow?

One can not blame the B. of America, Casey and her daughter lived in that home as well, and Casey is the one who defrauded the Bank too– remembering that the bank has reserved the right to lay charges on the cheque fraud issues, even thought they accepted payment.

They are significantly upside down in their loan to value ratio, get in line, we all are, the mortgage/ housing market went bust.

There is always the possibility Cindy could be named in the Zenaida civil suit, makes sense to not have any assets.

Oh, and it’s nonsense that they didn’t know about the foreclosure. There are plenty of notices that are sent certified over several months. Unless of course they refused to sign for them or didn’t pick them up at the post office.

..i FULLY expect to see cindy & george back on tv doing their “poor me” routine—( if, the station will run their foundation website link on screen——WITH paypal info!)

..since the ‘foundation’ adress IS the hopespring address—–in the event of foreclosure, is the foundation affected in any way ? ( would the A’s have to list the foundation assets / $$$’s on the foreclosure documents?

They are the most unpleasant ppl. in the universe, they’re liars, he confirms and promotes the lies, why?

It cannot be for exposure. Simply because he would take them on, I wouldn’t hire him for anything. His reputation and credibility surely has not profited from his alliance with them. There HAS to be incentive for him to continue being their lap dog.

  29. Pamela says:

Just to maybe clear up the Brad Conway bankruptcy. Orlando’s downtown had a boom from 2000 to 2005, like most cities. But for the first time a highrise went up on every street, some streets had 10 and they sold for 500,000 and up. The Waverly unfortunately, was built towards the end of that boom and pre-construction started at $400,00 to over 1M. Many local doctor’s, lawyer’s and developer’s bought at the high pre-construction prices because of the Waverly’s prime location across from Orlando’s famed Lake Eola Park. Just as everything started crashing the Waverly developer went belly up and the complex wasn’t completed for a few years. Almost everyone who pre-bought lost their money, it was a big “scandel” in Orlando. I am assuming the Conway was one of those who got caught up in that mess. The condo’s are done now but they sold for 1/4 of there original values. Most people who pre-bought put 20- 30% down, and they felt it was better to lose 80k to 100k than to spend the original contract amount when they knew they could never resell or rent the condo and get their money back out. It was primarily pre-sold to investors’, not to people expecting to live there. I don’t know Conway’s situation, but the investment angle makes more sense to me, but letting a property go into foreclosure never makes sense to me. That’s 10 years of bad.
And the Anthony’s have already had 1 foreclosure, even though it’s a good amount of time between it’s still going to be bad for them, with no jobs and no forseeable income in the future. They can’t count the foundations income, they have to have I believe 5 years of proven sustainability to claim it as income for loan purposes.

  30. Heidi says:

No public appearances for Cindy because…. a) medications & memory is not as sharp as a tac as it use to. b) anything she says now can and will be use against her in the future. c.) she’s busy behind the scenes writing her own book, that she hopes will sell millions, as she hers said she has a way with words.
That is her fantasy now. To write a book and travel the world.

  31. Kleat says:

The covering up story will be debunked if it’s tried, any of them. Casey covering up for her parent’s wrong doing, Casey covering up for herself not wanting to upset her mom, Casey covering for the nanny kidnapper or kidnappers because she was being taught a lesson and told what to do and not to call authorites.

  32. Kleat says:

  33. janetoo says:

Regarding the possibility of an accidental death, the possiblity of c & g making money from precious Caylee’s death, the possiblity the a’s didn’t know their house was going into foreclosure……….who knows?
Those people lie about it all, obviously they’ve lived a life of lies, they lie to one another, then lie to cover up each others lies, they do know the truth though, they are not unintelligent, (not implying they are smart either) they are the worst kind of liars, their lies are allowing a precious little girls death be void of closure, their lies will never give Caylee the peace she deserves from those that she knew and loved. Their lies are criminal.

Caylee is with love, peace and goodness…….she will never be them, need them or want them……..she is pure and innocent and will forever remain so.
she will always remain pure and innocent……as it should be.

  34. PigletinCT says:

Brad Conways comment in the article posted on the WESH site about the foreclosure of their home was something to the effect – “According to Conway, this foreclosure proves the couple never had a big-money book or movie deal.” Maybe that’s what they were trying to prove by letting it go into foreclosure…….Seems a bit extreme to let your house go into foreclosure to prove you didn’t make any “blood money” off of Caylee – but with them……..Anything is possible……. Just another chapter in the Anthony “poor us” novel…..

Attorney Won’t Deny Anthonys Have Book Deal
    Posted: 5:47 pm EDT August 5, 2009Updated: 6:27 pm EDT August 5, 2009
ORLANDO, Fla. — It was George Anthony’s turn to be deposed Wednesday by prosecutors working on Casey Anthony’s murder trial. Cindy and Lee Anthony went last week, but George was the only one who stopped to talk with reporters.
George seemed nervous about answering questions Wednesday, but WFTV reporter Kathi Belich found out he may have had some questions of his own for a book publisher.
Eyewitness News heard from a reliable tipster that the Anthonys, their private investigator and their lawyer are negotiating a package book deal with Simon and Schuster, which is owned by CBS, so Eyewitness News asked about it, because the publisher isn’t talking.
Cindy Anthony told Eyewitness News last year that she was considering a book and now a tipster, who’s been right before, told Eyewitness News the Anthonys, their private investigator Dominic Casey, who was videotaped searching and probing the woods where Caylee’s remains were later found, and their lawyer, went to New York recently for talks with Simon and Schuster, a division of CBS that Wikipedia calls the fourth largest publisher in the country.
“I heard that you, George, Cindy and Dominic Casey went to New York and met with Simon and Schuster recently about a book deal,” Belich told attorney Brad Conway (watch full interview).
    http://www.wftv.com/video/20295440/index.html

“I wouldn’t comment on anything personal like that. I don’t know. I wouldn’t comment on it, Kathi,” he said.
    “Why not?” Belich asked.
“There’s no reason to,” Conway said.
    “Is it true?” Belich asked.
“I’m not gonna say whether it’s true or not true,” Conway replied.

  36. MJ says:

Thinker~ this whole business stinks to the heavens. Okay, so we’ve got Baez and his crew cashing in on Caylee, we’ve got the family banking on the deals, we’ve got Conway and Dom C …..it is beyond mind blowing. This little girl has truly been sacrificed to the money gods and not one family member see’s anything wrong with it.
I gave up a long time ago on secretly hoping the A’s would pull their heads out of their azzes but it almost disturbs me as much realizing that there’s an endless number of people dying to jump on board.

The foreclosure thing is hardly newsworthy. Their past financial problems were the precurser and not much explanation is needed for this, this time Caylee bailed them out again by providing the ‘reason’ they didn’t bother with meeting their obligations. When the time is right she will be the reason they HAD to leave the house..too painful.

If it wasn’t for the fact that if it wasn’t for total strangers feeling the need to see justice be brought for Caylee Marie, me being one of them, I’d be happy to hang up my mouse and never read another word about them. Thank you for bringing those links, it’s the answer, short and pointed as to why Conway keeps his wheels firmly by their side.

I too find it odd that their house is in forclosure along with the other two. I agree that theres a possibility thats they are up to something couldnt just be mere coincidence, even so with their payments only be 795.00 most people buying homes would love to have house payments that low.

  39. Susan2 says:

Blink, Correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t that why O.J.Simpson moved to Florida? In the civil suit, he had to pay the Goldmans a large sum of money. He moved to Florida because they couldn’t take his “homestead”, however, they WERE entitled to any money made from books. Remember he wrote the book about how the murder might have happened and the Goldmans got the rights to that book? Those Anthonys should do their homework before they make these stupid mistakes. Where was Conway when they made these decisions?

Yes, the homestead exemption and pension.

The publishing rights awarded to the Goldman and Simpson families is a landmark case. However, had nothing to do with son of sam laws, it was about the wrongful death judgement.

Thank you so much for this info. I quoted you on SM, (hope you don’t mind,) and think this is a fascinating connection. In addition, although they were not, as far as I know, included on the New York trip, the Milsteads also lost their house due to foreclosure. I wonder what the odds are of all these people connected so closely to this case having this much trouble keeping their houses?

  41. martha says:

Dear Soulsister, I am going to pray for you and your family for the tragedy that you endured as a child. I didnt think it was out of line at all. People need to be aware of what can happen and so prevent it in the future. I know you will never forget but hope life brings you all extra happiness. Sincerely

  42. Ragdoll says:

Ok. I am so confused. I thought there was a law that prevents criminals and families to profit from their story (son of sam law??????) Am I out to lunch? How can Conway profit from this?

When this whole fiasco is over and Casey is sentenced, I hope the Anthony’s go away. I hope a guilty will force the Anthony’s to disappear into the background noise where no one gives a rats @$$ about anything they do or say. It’s already getting old and reaking of rotten pizza.

  43. MJ says:

Monk Probably the odds of that many with financial trouble and homes in foreclosure is as simple as birds of feather flock together! They all seem to have a bit of larceny running thru their veins and probably give advice and tips to each other on stiffing the system and how to benefit from tragedy. A healthy dose of entitlement syndrome helps it along, nothing is ever their fault, they deserve to be free of pesky payments, God forbid they put out any effort…
An unholy alliance was formed the minute the A’s hooked up with the Milsteads and from that moment on nothing has been above board.

  44. Pamela says:

Ok – I hope Blink can confirm with her sources. I did the unthinkable and actually called my LE friend and asked him about the foreclosure (he is involved in the case). He said the Anthony’s are scamming again, that there is money, that it will all eventually come out, and that they don’t really intend to lose the house. It’s all part of a “plan”, to which he added “another Anthony dumb plan”. He and other LE call them out and out Grifter’s, and they’ve hooked up with some other deviant Grifter’s for the extra help. If it looks rotten, it usually is. He also said that the foundation is about to get a uhm “review” for the annual filings, but like everything else, the Anthony’s will put that off for as long as they can. He said “Its said to see how lost Caylee has become in this, the Anthony’s are only invested in their future, and their outcries for Casey and Caylee are to garner sympathy and drag in the cash donations”.
IMHO nothing these people do, Anthony’s, Milstead, Dom Casey, Conway are honest. Vulture’s of a feather flock together.

No, I do not mind that anyone copies any of my comments to anywhere ….. :-)
Seems to me that this group of people have chosen to walk away from their financial obligations – and seems to me the reason could be that they anticipate a HUGE MONEY reward down the road…..

There is more to the financial story. I pooked around the Orange County clerk site and found some interesting things and ran the numbers through my mortgage models. Yes, I am a numbers geek.

Assuming the original mortgage was 81K (90K purchase less 10% down) at the prevailing mortgage rate in 1989 the balance remain in 2005 would have been about 65K. This was refinanced in 2005 for 121K and the cash taken out of it, roughly 56K. If it was 20% down, then it would have been $65K taken out.

A new 121K note in 2005 would correlate with a 115K balance as of 9 months ago at the mortgage rate of 6.5% in effect in 2005($785/mo. payment) Not the best rate, FICO scores must not have been great.

But in addition to this they took a 25K mortgage line of credit in Dec 1998. This mortage line of credit was assigned to the Insurance holder on 11/18/09, which is what happens when it is not paid. Don’t know what the balance outstanding on that was, but definitely there was an unpaid balance if it was turned over to the insurer. There is no way they didn’t know any of this was happening!

Someone out there help me. When you are on disability doesn’t your disability insurance replace most of your paycheck? So there definitely is income coming in.

    YES.
These people are not broke by a longshot.

I wonder why Dominic did not show up for his Feb 19th Hearing on his foreclosure case? And wonder if the Hearing was rescheduled? We have to watch the County Clerk website for updates …..
