Casey Anthony On Trial: Caylee’s Voice Heard, Finally.. Opening Arguments Commence

Orlando, FL-  Exactly three years to the day that Casey Anthony met her former boyfriend- turned- informant Anthony Lazzarro, and whom many observers believe was the reason Casey Anthony allegedly murdered her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony, the trial of the State of Florida v Casey Anthony begins.

Ironically, it is also the 3rd anniversary of the day a woman accused by Casey, as Zanny the Nanny, Zenaida Gonzalez, got traffic tickets within hours of Casey’s best friend Annie Downing, brought to you courtesy of  www.blinkoncrime.com.

Talk about a prophetic date.  Instead of a Rapture it is more like a Rupture.

The road to perdition has never been accompanied by lip service to an ideal.

Albert Einstein

Someone  is not telling their client that Florida has gotten pretty bullish on sentencing it’s young murderesses to death.

Tiffany Ann Cole, Margaret Allen, and Emilia Carr all have an impending date with a needle, and the ladies of lechery  have been sentenced in the last 4 years.

In fact, the second most recent female resident on Florida’s death row, Emilia Carr,  accused her Dad of sexual abuse, AND he was convicted of plotting to kill HER  years later as a result;  the jury gave little weight to either issue.

If Casey Anthony is convicted, and especially if she is sentenced to die by lethal injection, Emilia will be Casey’s new *muffin*.. flush.

I would like to point out that none of these murders were that of a helpless 34 month old at the hands of her own Mother, which in many Floridians minds, is the worst of the worst.

Twelve Jurors, seven women and five men, unless one of 5 alternates is needed, will decide the fate of Casey Anthony.

Depicted affectionately below as monkeys, in dedication to our sister site and forum www.scaredmonkeys.net, but most importantly, to the families living without them so they may serve  justice on behalf of Caylee Anthony, www.blinkoncrime.com salutes you today.

Opening arguments begin at 9AM.   Without question, outside of deliberation, this is the most important day of this trial.

Blink, along with Diane Dimond,  will be discussing the first day’s events on The Dana Pretzer Show, Scared Monkeys Radio at 9PM EST.

Live link will be posted here one hour before the show.

Thank you Blink for being Caylee’s voice through the years. Its been a long time coming. Would love to see the death sentence given on June 15th or 16th – know that’s too soon into trial. Can not wait to hear your tell all after this is over. Get some rest its gonna be a little bit longer journey to justice.

TY Kindly. She is my “other girl”. Blinkette wants her “standing” and I support that.

Little Caylee.. we are at the “junction of function” as my great-grand daddy used to say.

The jury monkeys image works very sweetly with your words Blink,

    “Here We Go Miss Caylee”.

    Nicely done.

Woot for great-granddaddy Blink and his Junction of Function saying, very appropro. ( i know that isn’t spelled right, even spell check is confused!!)
Blink…I’m so excited that finally somebody will start talking for Caylee. Finally, finally. Out loud, in the open, with national tv covering , they will see the child we see and why there are so many willing to give their hearts and time to her.
Admittedly, I’ve developed a severe chronic bad taste in my mouth for Mr. Baez (notice my strict adherence to the blog etiquette about calling him names? pat, pat, pat because you KNOW i want to).
The same goes for the ever mind-blowing Anthonys and yes, for sure I want the homicidal (fill in the blank)—— to get the consequence she so deserves but tomorrow Caylee will get to be the Princess, finally.
I love the jury pic! Awesome Klaas.

    TY.

Klaasend is amazing. I have never come to her with an image idea that she did not build to exceed my vision.
Simply put there is nobody better than her.

Footnote: Brandi is probably the closest second.

Blink, it is very late here in New Hampshire. I am tired, very tired.
I have spoken to every person I know today. Told all to not bug me today. This is where I shall be at 9 AM, opening arguments. My heart is heavy. My only daughter was murdered
in Palm Bay Florida. Thank You and everone here for all of the heart felt, genuine Love for this beautiful, angelic doe eyed child.

However this journey shakes out, it will be to justice.

I never sleep, but the phone will ring early this morning so that I do not miss a word of opening arguments.

    Bless you Dear Girl Blink.

It has been a long journey for all.

Susan, I had no idea. My sincere condolences and thank you for your support for Caylee in spite of your own loss.

The monkey jury is perfect! Bravo to the creator/s of that image!

    Finally Caylee will receive justice!

Prophetic date indeed. I’m reminded of Dec. 11, 2008 and the “make him stop” Dec. 11, 2009.

  10. Gigi says:

Blink…Amidst the sadness of our world today…tornados, volcanos, bombings and warfare, thank goodness we still have people like you who have been called to seek and demand justice for victims who no longer have a voice here on earth to tell their truths about their horrific murders and murderers. You have been blessed with many gifts and you use those gifts to the utmost through your advocacy of innocent victims of heinous crimes, especially the children. It’s on! Justice for Caylee!

  11. Hang Her High says:

Everyone has tried to cash in on Casey murdering her little baby girl Caylee including Casey’s parents and her high-powered defense team that the taxpayers must pay for. Someone is selling coffee mugs I heard. That is sick.

  13. Ross says:

Just a little correction: Margaret Allen was sentenced to death on 5/19/2011, and Emilia Carr was sentenced to death on 2/22/2011, making Allen, not Carr, the most recent female resident on Florida’s death row.

    Thanks Pam.

  14. PookyBear says:

May God shine a light on the TRUTH today. The name Caylee means from the forest which is ironic given where she was found. I believe that Caylee is warm and safe in God’s arms and that we as a society are the ones grieving now. Blink and the Blinkster’s certainly appreciate that God wants us to learn from this case. We here are paying attention, but what about the ones who need to pay attention. We need to hold these children close and protect them as God has asked us to do, not wrap them in trash bags, duck tape and toss them away as trash. Human life is a miracle from God and I pray that those who need help find it, put their children first and reach out. That is what today will signify for me. God bless all of you speaking for sweet Caylee today.

    Good morning,

The article reads that there are 4 altenates. I thought, there were 5. Did they already lose one Juror?

By the way, I love the picture.

    Have a good day everyone!

Nope, you are right, I corrected it, thank you.

is an appointed time for everything. With your wisdom you have walked us to today. Thank you!

Thank You Claudia and all of you for the kind words, but this is Miss Caylee’s day, and hers alone.

  20. Eloise says:

Thank you Blink for your article and all the work you have put forth for this beautiful child. Today is the beginning. I wish all the heartache and frustration felt by those that have cared for her little soul released and to now come crashing down upon those that have fostered and caused this pain. Prayers to the Prosecution, HJBP and our jurors.

  21. jane bond says:

This day I pray is the beginning of bringing justice to Caylee. I wanted to also say that this site “Blink on Crime” is the best, the most respectful and the most intelligent site I’ve ever read and I do read almost everyday ~ thanks to all who participate and show such great compassion towards the people who need your advocacy the most. Justice For Caylee!

  26. IMOIMO says:

I read somewhere that the opening statement from the prosecutor was this:

“It is time to tell the story of a little girl named Caylee.”

Those are the SWEETEST words I’ve ever heard… Justice for you finally, little one, hang in there just a while longer!

Thanks for all you do Blink and Blinksters!

  27. Eloise says:

Ugh, have to leave for work. Take good notes for me Mom3 & all. Going great so far, prayers for Caylee.

  28. Columbiares (Pam) says:

Almost full-time lurker– part time pest on BOC, would be awesome to have a weekend get together for everyone here. I’d love to meet everyone here. Kind of like long lost family. Just a thought anyway. :)

  29. annals says:

Within the first minutes of opening statements, Linda Burdick gives the jury Caylee’s Winnie the Poo bedecked bedroom and the Playhouse, with mailbox.

Had I never known of Caylee’s playhoue, Burdick’s 6 word sentence, it even has it’s own mailbox, would paste that playhouse in my mind. Masterful.

Agreed, wait until the say it removed from the pavers with the evidence markers.

  30. Sammy says:

Ms Linda in her red power suit … what a masterful opening statement!
“This is the trial of Casey Anthony, BUT, it is time to tell the story of a little girl named Caylee Marie Anthony”
    AMEN!!

The FBI has CONFIRMED Dr Vass’s findings of the presence of chloroform in the trunk.
Many more wiki searches on the computer too. “inhalation, acetone, peroxide, death, etc”

KC just shaking her head “no” all morning to all the facts being presented.
Never any tears for Caylee when her little body is found … nothing.

  31. Ross says:

    Thanks Pam.
    B

    Pam?

  32. A Texas Grandfather says:

    Beautiful art work as usual.

Today is Caylee’s day and Linda has put Caylee in the courtroom to tell her story.

Thanks Blink and team. This baby now has a voice again.

  33. JR says:

Well…Casey has already sealed her fate as far as I’m concerned. Every lie – she shakes her head. Every statement that makes her look bad – she shakes her head. Every piece of evidence implicating her guilt – she shakes her head. So basically any juror can eventually figure out ‘what are the facts?’….whenever Casey shakes her head.

The best the defense could do was submit to all the evidence and all the lies with the “tragic accident-too scared to tell anyone” theory and hope for murder/manslaughter of a lesser charge. But judging from Casey, looks like they’ll be sticking with the ‘cockamamie lies and poking holes’ for this death penalty defense. And I’m sure they’ve got the appeal based on a biased jury ready to file, following the verdict.

Good to see George and Cindy sitting on the ‘right’ side though. Poor little Caylee…with those big moonbeam eyes :(

  34. chelsea says:

I’m here!! I thought LDB was absolutely spot on with her delivery and chronological opening statement. If you truly had never heard of the Caylee Anthony case (I deliberately didn’t write Casey, it’s not about her), Linda’s words would have imprinted her heart wrenching, truly shocking story into your mind for all time. She was brilliant!
Blink – can the Anthonys choose which side of the Court to sit? I was surprised to see them behind the Prosecution and hoped they had had a change of heart – guess that’s just wishful thinking.
I have felt like a cat on a hot tin roof all morning waiting for Caylee’s moment to come. Justice for Caylee (am I allowed to say that still?).

  35. Sheri says:

Blink, I know Judge Perry said there would be no head shaking & such allowed by attorneys or the Anthonys in the audience… Why is Casey allowed to do it? Is the defendant the only person in the courtroom allowed to do this? Thanks
    Sheri in Texas

  36. Carol1 says:

Today, of all days, I have a huge lump in my throat. Odd, since I’ve watched every motion made, all the depositions taken, all the delays, all the lies etc. Just lost it at LDB opener that this is about dear Caylee. That it is or “it is what it is.”

  37. Columbiares (Pam) says:

OMG— they are going to use the Roy Kronk did it defense??? I thought they were to leave him ALONE???? Oh man, they are sooo grasping at straws…of course we knew that, but that’s all they can come up with? Wow…just wow, they should have been convincing KC to give it UP and plead down. Just how dumb can you get?

  38. Columbiares (Pam) says:

Please disregard my last remark— I see they’re going with an accident…oh boy- they said the desperation of the state- talk about projection.

  39. Teri says:

An accident. ANd, her parents covered it up.

    Thud.

Why is anyone stunned, I have been saying this is exactly what would happen for years.
I don’t recall a name for a soul-less species, but I am looking at them.

  40. c10 says:

wow… george just sits there, wow, goodbye george

  41. Columbiares (Pam) says:

BLINK- I’m going to PUKE!!!!!! OMG Blink- if George goes on the stand and agrees with one- one little thing that Baez says- I hope every single Anthony rots in HADES!!!! It’s sick, sick sick and I’m so mad I’m crying because these “people” didn’t give a hoot for Caylee. Not one iota. She’s going to have to take the stand, there’s no choice. Oh Lord I hope so, go get them Linda, Ashton…

  42. JoyAnn says:

I can’t believe her attorney is trying to put the blame on George and Cindy. I can’t believe she is claiming sexual bause. If I ever had any respect for her attorney it just went out the door. Casey is guilty and needs to pay for her crime.

  43. Minnie Penney says:

Baez states Caylee drowned in the backyard swimming pool. (After Casey held her under water for an hour) And George was sexually abusing Casey for years that made Casey screwed up….and George is NOT happy looking at all in the back of the courtroom..and the police screwed up everything. Baez should sell this to the Comedy Channel. He’s also mentioning Roy Kronk….now Lee Anthony is also “doing” Casey…. Baez states there’s more….OMG “Casey went to school every day after having her father’s penis in her mouth”!!!!!!!! After another fellatio session it was noticed Caylee was missing…but not for long….they go into the backyard and there was Caylee floating face down in the pool. I’m not making this up. Wait til Nancy Grace gets this. Oh yeah….George has been doing Casey since she was eight years old. George made sure Casey was going down for Caylee’s murder. George frames innocent Casey.

  44. Columbiares (Pam) says:

Sorry Blink- you don’t have to post my above 3 remarks- I’m so sick that George is still sitting there and is going to go with getting thrown under the bus. I’m literally sick and crying for little Caylee- how can they DO this to Caylee?? How? :( ((

  45. Starsky says:

Unbelievable. What about the jailhouse videos of George and Cindy grilling Casey? Was that supposedly all scripted? Give me a break. Are you trying to tell me she has sat in prison for THREE years with this story and has waited until today to share it? These jurors better be able to see through this line of B.S

  46. Minnie Penney says:

Now Baez is saying there was no murder. This was just a “deeply troubled family”. Now on Roy Kronk. Mr Kronk found Caylee in order to collect reward money. So, where was Caylee? Under water? Only ten days under water. Kronk’s co-worker tells him “this is a great place to dump a body”…So Kronk calls 911 and says he sees something round and white. Cops come out but can’t find anything. Months pass. Kronk calls his son and tells him he is going to rich and famous. Then he’s broke and his car brakes down and he goes to take a potty break and bingo a bag of bones with a little skull. Kronk wants reward money and the police tell him to keep quiet and hire a lawyer for Kronk. Everybody is guilty but Casey. The police did a snake “autopsy” to try to frame innocent Casey. Baez really trying to frame Kronk.

  47. mayhem says:

OMG. Can someone please explain the Kronk connection Baez is trying to make. Are they alleging Kronk found the drowned body and hid it away for a while?

  48. Columbiares (Pam) says:

He’s got to be making this up as he goes along. Sorry- you can’t say it was an accident in the pool and then bring Kronk into it. What? Did he go by the Anthony’s house and see the dead body and drag it into the woods? Huh? Jeff and Linda will wipe the floor with Baez and I will cheer sooo sooo loud when all these liars go to jail for perjury!!!!!!!!!
