Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

Weeding. Good idea. So here’s a question, it’s been stated by KH & DY in one of their interviews that Kyron’s sci-project was kept by LE.
I’ve never been able to figure out why, but my question now is, does anyone know if any other science projects (such as the cool electric one) were kept by LE, or any other science projects were kept that were seen in photos where Kyron may have been cited?

A responsible school administration would have already compiled this list well before June 4th, and checked them in as they arrived.
If there was such a list, I’m sure it’s now confidential, and if there was not, I’m sure that’s now confidential also.
To my knowledge, the projects were set up the afternoon and evening by staff, not in the AM of June 4th. They were all dropped off at the gym on the 3rd.
As far as adults that were actually there on June 4th- I can only say I know as a fact that they do not have a completed list. It was entirely based on voluntary witness accounts and of course interviews if any data was missing. The sign in sheet was removed from Skyline by a member of LE the weekend of the 4th.

Not dissuading you Seeker- if that information was credible it would be a revelation and at this point this case could certainly use one. It is just that my interviews which I know have been independently verified and are corroborated by depositions that have not been released publicly- contradict that scenario.
Add to that there is a child that so closely resembles Kyron I could not tell them apart in the images I have seen from that morning. That said- I have no reason to believe the other child was carrying in a science project that morning.

@Seeker – I can’t even count how many dead ends I’ve come to through either my own speculations or following the statements of others. I don’t regret a single one and still hang on to them in a “maybe/maybe not” file in case I missed something first time(s) around. That said, I think the most important thing for me is the process of ruling things “in, out, or maybe”. I’ve never gone through that process without thinking of or finding one or more new directions where I’ve never been before.
In my opinion, the reason we are in this “frozen” spot in Kyron’s case is because too many people involved in this case have already kept their thoughts to themselves (not referring to Terri). I hope you and everyone else will continue to share anything you find or think of about this case.
I still have faith that the process (discussions here) will lead us somewhere meaningful. And if the case is solved some other way (besides here), there will still be many important gaps to fill in – and boy! do we have filling!
Interesting that Kyron’s science project was to quote Mr. Horman “part of the investigation”, and LE kept it, yet they somehow forgot to keep records of attendance and phone calls. What WERE they thinking so early on?
I notice this picture taken later on by the media is sans the diorama. Did LE only keep that portion?

@Blink. To clarify, the signin sheet was for parent volunteers, not attendees or vendors as I recall.
The PTA logs volunteer credit hours.
It included chaperones, who would prolly not be on there if they were asked on the fly. It was in a central area known to normal volunteers.

Jaime Tinoco, 17, was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday night for aggravated murder and unlawful use of a weapon in connection with Laube’s death, according to Sgt. Bob Ray of the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested Wednesday.

Within days of Tinoco’s September arrest for the rape, Washington County Violent Crimes Unit detectives learned he lived with his parents across the street from the apartment complex where Laube was killed. They questioned him about her death, but could not link him to the crime.
“During the following months, detectives meticulously poured over hundreds of pieces of information and questioned dozens of people to gain additional insight that would lead them to Ms. Laube’s killer,” Ray said Wednesday.
After Tinoco’s rape conviction, a Eugene police detective again questioned him about the homicide and received information linking him to the case, Ray said.
Investigators told KGW that Tinoco planned to sexually assault Laube before murdering her, but the sexual assault did not occur.

This was the result of his conviction so they could take his DNA and test it ,imo. Questioned him within days of the subsequent rape charge. No offense but it seemed to me that the Laube homicide was a youthful offender who was close.

Is anyone else having trouble digesting the fact that the groups were not formed when the kids got off the bus and into their classrooms?
I inadvertantly accessed hln on my phone & got a 4 min soundbite at the end of a Dr Drew. Something about 3 little girls, going to school bathrooms, & the school’s efforts to ensure their safety, and a school being in loco parentis. DD started throwing around a handful of %s I couldn’t keep up with, but it was child sexual abuse on kids 7-13; on girls 1 in 5 & boys 1 in 20; & 30% of child sexual abuse was another minor on child, with one group of perpetrators being teens, but another % being younger middle school age on younger ones. The comments really emphasized the school’s responsibility for safety at school.

I probably should have written “RESPONSIBLE school administration” – I meant to point out that if they had done things in a responsible, organized way in the first place, compiling ANY list after the fact would not have been necessary since it would already have been done.

You described many of my thoughts on TP’s interview and are in sync with how I thought the events played out, though now I am in doubt.
I assumed the stroller was “for reals” because Blink has spoken to witnesses who must have seen her with the stroller.
IIRC the room 109 to the access road theory is correct according to Blink’s prior statements. I think it was KH’s truck that was parked in the south lot, and SZ’s truck that was parked on the access road, and the confusion of similar vehicles was another reason the focus was on TH.
According to the groundskeeper, the truck on the access road was not there when he left the field and he changed his timeline, it would seem perhaps to imply TH left the south lot and re-parked on the access road to sneak Kyron off the school grounds.
So, it seems to me that SZ could have “left the school” (creating an alibi or timeframe confusion) and re-parked his truck on the access road and entered the school near the room 109 exit, potentially stalked the area, went into EM’s and received permission to have Kyron go with him to his truck.
KH truck was never parked in the South lot that day- it was on the shoulder, in front of the school. I believe that is referenced by either the principal or Zimmerman who say her and Kiara leaving from the front walk. There are other witnesses to that- and as I recall a pressconf the day after the gj ranked asking for “public assistance” that was not influenced by the media. My guess is that some witnesses in retrospect had trouble differentiating white trucks and times that did not match a corroborated timeline of TH.

Statement released from Wash. Co. Juvenile Department Director Lynne Schroeder:
On September 13, 2014, a 17 year old client of the Washington County Juvenile Department participated in a group outing which included a trip to Autzen Stadium in Eugene to attend the University of Oregon football game. The group consisted of 12 youth who were supervised by four Juvenile Department staff members. The trip was part of a program that helps youth develop life skills and positive goals through pro-social activities.
After the game, the youth separated from the rest of the group. Eugene Police were contacted regarding his unknown whereabouts. Washington County Juvenile was notified later in evening by the Lane County Juvenile Department that the youth was in custody after being arrested by Eugene Police in the course of a sexual assault investigation near Autzen Stadium.
So what was he on probation for in the first place? OMG.

@erose. No trouble at all believing that about Ms Porter. Easy to believe her class organization lagged behind other teachers, which perhaps SZ knew. it doesn’t mean other classrooms did not form groups & commence timely. If I was an mcso employee devoted to a deputy career, I’d hightail it to Wash County.
I realize that the teen indicted for Laube’s murder and the rape in Eugene is highly disorganized… and apparently likes adult women (tho it wouldn’t be the first that may have started with innocent child/peer opportunities without being caught) however, if Kyron left the school building with the person Matthews nodded to, it may be possible that he lolly-gagged outside and was grabbed by a disorganized opportunist unrelated to the individual that removed him from Matthews classroom… Nobody apparently saw what happened at the actual moment when Kyron actually ‘disappeared’. I would be curious to know who was REALLY at the school on June 4, 2010, and I think that incomplete picture is what keeps me questioning if it’s possible these other macabre criminals come into play…

Anyway, if Kyron had brought in something given to him by someone, (perhaps SZ) and he added it to his project by placing whatever it was in/on his diorama, there would be a reason for LE to hang on to his science project. Just thinking. Other than that, I can’t think of a reason the project itself would be “part of the investigation”.
It just occurred to me one would think there would be at least a few other photos of Kyron’s project out there somewhere, taken by someone other than TMH. It was done so well, one would think a teacher or two might have taken a photo of it, perhaps for the yearbook. IDK, just thinking out loud.

From Fall 2013 to October 31, 2014, he attended the University of Puget Sound in Washington. A spokesperson at the school said he withdrew in the middle of the semester for unknown reasons.

Stroller.
I certainly think it is probable Terri used a stroller at the SF. Like you, @erose, I would guess that information was from Blink’s sources. I have seen almost no published accounts of Kiara even being there, much less a stroller being used. Kaine did reference Terri, Kyron and Kiara touring the SF, but he mentioned it in kind of a “as I understand it” manner. This issue is interesting only relative to Terri going downstairs both during her tour with Kyron and upon leaving the building. It sounds like they only went to a couple of other rooms, maybe the gym, waved good-bye to Kyron and left with Kiara, probably down a couple of steps and through the east door, where students enter from busses. Then I would think she and Kiara headed down the sidewalk on the west side of the south parking lot toward Skyline Blvd. Also, I was fishing for a comment about whether anyone indicated to Blink that Terri (and/or Kyron) interacted with others while touring the SF, specifically anyone fitting SZ’s description.

In the past, after posting a couple videos and some still photos, I made the case for the access road getaway scenario, assuming one would want to get out of there quick. Blink’s response seemed to indicate it was possible, but I got the feeling she thinks that is not what happened. It seems SZ is/was a pretty cool, calm and calculating person. As has been pointed out by others, and I agree, while SZ may have had criminal intent, he was technically not guilty of anything until he physically detained Kryon, in his, or some one else’s vehicle, likely through some form of physical incapacitation. Up until that point, he and Kyron could have each picked up “something”, and returned to the building, no harm, no foul. Then I would have expected SZ to leave asap.
IIRC, Blink has inferred that people outside the building may have seen SZ and Kyron after they left the building via the exit by Room 109. (I am sure I will be corrected forthwith, if I have recalled incorrectly). For such a sighting to happen, the most likely SZ path would be in front of the school, and in my opinion, diagonally across the playground to the south gate to the south parking lot, near Skyline Blvd.
Since the exit is supposed to have happened sometime after 9:05am, Terri and Kiara would have already been at or near Fred Meyer (Imbrie).
The following image identifies different possible paths SZ took with Kyron, after they left the building. If any of you wish to indicate your best guess of his the path, be my guest.
Red, Pink, Blue, Yellow, Green. IIRC, @vw felt SZ took the blue path up to the play area behind the school. (Note. Only three or four actually parking spaces are designated in the play area behind the school. They are right next to the ramp entry to the school and two of them are ADA.)

Shoulder Parking.
I am not convinced Terri parked the truck on the shoulder between the south parking lot and the access road. I might agree with, in the south parking lot very near Skyline Blvd., as the south parking lot is paved all the way to Skyline on the west side. Of course, I also don’t think Terri’s truck (I know, I know), was ever moved during the time she and Kiara were at the SF.
As you will see in images below the shoulder is very narrow, sloped down towards the bank, and as it had rained recently, likely damp and somewhat muddy where one would be standing to extract a child from the passenger side rear door. I am thinking Kiara was in a small-child car seat on the passenger side of the back seat while Kyron was in some kind of a special seat still, sitting on the driver side in the back seat. (See note below). If on the gravel shoulder nearest the south parking lot, the driver side doors would likely open out into the west bound traffic lane, so getting in and out could be a bit dangerous. If the truck was parked at the base of the access road there would have been considerably more space available on both sides of the truck, but I would think Stensen would have put out cones to make sure no one parked there, thus blocking him from leaving.
(Note. I suspect Terri drove the truck relatively frequently, likely whenever she had to transport both Kyron and Kiara. I think this had more to do with her driving the truck on the morning of June 4th, and the afternoon of June 3rd, than anything to do with transporting the science project. I may be wrong, but I am assuming Kyron went home with Terri and Kiara in the truck after the project was delivered).
I still think Stensen’s first reported arrival and departing times were correct, 7:45am to 8:30am, thus he would know there was no truck on the access road or shoulder at 8:30am. After meeting with detectives his departing time was “clarified” to somewhere between 8:45am and 9am, making it possible for Stensen to miss seeing anything on the shoulder during the time frame they apparently thought Terri pulled the truck up the access road to what?, wait for Kyron to amble on down to the truck per Terri’s instructions? Or, be escorted down there by someone else? And, of course, Kyron (or the extractor) timed it so well Stensen, who would have been finishing up at that time, missed seeing him alone or with someone else. Really?
Backing up Stensen’s original leaving time of 8:30am, @Neighbor posted her first hand sighting. “There was a white truck on the access road, but it was parked diagonal. The rear was partly on the access road and the nose pointing fairly steep down to Skyline blvd. … Time was about 8.31”. I would think that is exactly how Stensen’s truck would be oriented as he prepared to make a sharp right turn west onto Skyline, then south onto Cornelius Pass Road en route to his next job. (Note. Be aware that the links I provided to the @Neighbor related posts won’t work as they route to the DAD dead zone.)
One wonders what sightings of a white truck on the access road detectives were trying to shoehorn into the “Terri-Did-It” scenario. Was it actually sightings of an SZ white truck after 9:05am, at which time he entered (re-entered?) the school and spirited Kyron out of Room 109, out the exit, back to the truck and away? Or, was it just Stensen driving on the shoulder and up the access road to mow the field at 7:45am; seen by teachers, staff and/or volunteers arriving in advance of the 8am SF opening.
Anyway, that is my take. Documentation follows.

“He met with two detectives and a deputy district attorney at Skyline School early Friday to go over his timeline in detail.
Stensen told investigators that he left Skyline School as late as 8:45 a.m. or 9 a.m., which means he could have missed seeing the Horman truck being in the two spots investigators are interested in, especially since he spent his time and attention at the school mowing the soccer field.”

This image makes the shoulder appear very uninviting for parking, getting out of a vehicle and getting kids out of a vehicle. While it may not have been raining the morning of June 4th, it would have damp and probably somewhat muddy in that ditch. Stensen said the grass was wet and difficult to mow.

There was a white truck on the access road, but it was parked diagonal. The rear was partly on the access road and the nose pointing fairly steep down to Skyline blvd. Hope this clears things up instead of adding to the confusion. Time was about 8.31. As I recall (after many months) the GK had many spots blocked on the main parking.
@Lea good catch about the camera. I will take a closeup look when I am around.

In that case & again assuming someone witnessed the 2nd vehicle behind the mailbox hidden by the foliage, perhaps Ky did go to the vehicle with the man, and there was a transfer to the white truck at the base of the access road.
Really not sure how to piece all this together. Not sure how many vehicles have been implicated & which ones have been ID’d by LE.

Has anyone ever seen, in any case where a child was abducted within, or even near the premises of a school, seen that school react as follows:
Immediately go into such a closed-mouth, lawyered-up, no-talkie stance.
(Has anyone ever heard a word from ANY of the teachers, within the last FIVE years?)
And further add the disappearance of certain records, which obviously may have proved beneficial to the investigation, as LE publicly acknowledged they did, at least ask for them, albeit too late, but by golly they were somehow just gone.
Anyone ever see such a thing?

The stink starts at the school. (I’m not saying someone employed by the school is the perp, although that is certainly possible.) What I do believe is that the majorly huge cover-up done by this school has allowed Kyron’s case to go cold. And I think that is inexcusable. JMO
OT – Big problem with the news media in this case is that they have inserted themselves into Kyron’s case. Ex: Desiree texted directly to Kyle Iboshi’s phone during the divorce hearing, upset that TH had shown up. There are many who have entered into both DY and KH’s circle of friends, doing things with them that would not be ‘ethical’ in days gone by… Anyway… my reason for posting…
Another reporter from KOIN news in PDX, Joel Iwanaga, and one that has covered the Horman case – he interviewed the dry cleaner – just became a news story himself. He resigned his job with KOIN after his guilty plea to shoplifting…

I like the name “DAD dead zone” to label an entire
year of posts which are inaccesible.
“Note. Only three or four actually parking spaces are designated in the play area behind the school. They are right next to the ramp entry to the school and two of them are ADA.” This option, my favorite, suggests he’d made deliveries to, or done work at, the school before and had used this parking area previously on those occasions.
Near the play area would have guaranteed an accessible child at some point. Maybe he’d carried materials thru Matthews room previously.

This, I believe is where SZ parked. Kyron was seen so the yellow and green routes are most obvious to be seen and given the location of SZ’z car, the most likely used.
It’s possible the blue route if extended could have been used to get to the south lot, though not as exposed. Another deviation in the blue route raises the possibility that Kyron was somehow subdued and or hidden while walking between the building and those two trees.
The pink and red routes only make sense if SZ moved his vehicle. That would mean that Dave Stenson’s truck came and left the access road, followed by TH coming and going, followed by SZ coming and going. Busy little road. Seems far fetched and as you said he would have to back down that narrow road as well.
My best guess of the five paths is that they walked the way of the green path but on the other side of the trees. Yes, they passed witnesses probably walking to their cars, but the trees obscured a clear view from the school. JMO.

JMO, but I think the only white truck on the access road that morning was Stenson’s. IIRC, LE didn’t even know he was there that day, until they came out with the Horman truck sighting visuals used in their presentation to the public requesting assistance in identifying said truck. After which, Stenson came forward and said that he was the one on the access road and there could not have been another truck there, because he would have seen it and/or it would have been in his way.
I really think that information threw LE for a loop. Their theory was beginning to unravel at that point. JMO

I like the blue path myself. That being said, to this day, we don’t know when and where Kyron was incapacitated. For all we know, he was incapacitated somewhere within a building on the property, his body put into a container and removed from the building hidden in something, yet removed in plain sight.
I don’t much like to think about that scenario, because it would mean Kyron is most likely deceased, but without further information, I think it’s still a possibility. Years ago, I asked what the garage-like storage buildings in the back of the school were used for and never heard an answer. Are they kept locked with a key? Who has the keys? Those buildings are very isolated from the rest of the school.

Wanted Washington County sex offender arrested in Portland on theft charge
A wanted Washington County sex offender who has been arrested more than 40 times was arrested in Northwest Portland Friday after he allegedly stole food at a Safeway, police said.
Just after 2 p.m., officers went to the Pearl District store, 1303 N.W. Lovejoy St., after the store’s loss prevention reported they had a shoplifter in custody. Police found Robert Edward Foster, 26, and saw that he had an outstanding parole violation warrant.
Foster was booked into the Multnomah County Jail on a third-degree theft charge and the parole violation.
On Tuesday, Washington County officials announced that they were looking for Foster after he failed to report to his parole officer. He has a history of sex abuse, substance abuse and anger management issues, they said.

This was during daylite hours. One of the volunteers snapped this photo of what the dogs were staring at. It’s the outline of a small child standing just a few feet away from the search dogs. OT – Cherylcf on OLive passed away on Friday night. She was a strong advocate for supporting facts and calling out the pitiful tactics used in Kyron’s case. I will miss her voice and friendship. I know some here interacted with her on OL. Just wanted to let folks know…. Kyron lost a good advocate for the truth.
On a lighter note: Hoppy Easter! May those who celebrate have a joyous day. I’m off to hunt Minion colored eggs created by my grandkids
