Kyron Horman Missing: New Years Eve Settlement Ends Horman Marriage
Portland, OR- In a surprise court hearing, Judge Henry Kantor signed off on the agreement between Kaine Horman and Terri Moulton Horman to end their marriage this afternoon.
Details of the agreement have not been released publicly, but according to KGW, a financial settlement to include child support and a lump payment to Terri Horman has been reached.
In what can only be described as a bitter family court feud- the divorce matter was last in court on December 16th to decide if the Horman landscaper, Rodolfo Sanchez Estrada -who alleges Terri Horman tried to hire him to murder Kaine Horman at a lunch meeting – would testify.
Judge Kantor has not yet filed an order from that hearing but Attorneys for Terri Horman were granted a continuance from the pending temporary custody motion scheduled for December 19th and 20th.

it sounds like a search theory was a man left his vehicle at the school
or was a neighbor on foot and just kept walking with kyron to
1) hand him over to Terri on her driving route after her
Meyers, or 2) do his dirty. That theory fits Desiree’s statement and the possibility
the planted/found glasses were found early in the school 2 mo perimeter search
in the direction of Cornelius Pass. That would explain mcso’s slowness to
complete the 2 mi radius of the school, and the overemphasis of search
resources 6/6ff on Cornelius Pass and Cornell whilst having not finished the
radius. imo that means they were found 6/5, misdirecting the search (imo
deliberately). And he controlled Kyron by removing the glasses. That suggests
SZ knew the extent of K’s visual disability. And was someone who
knew Terri’s habits. I bet she often did this relaxing k drive
after the mornings she went in the school on K business.
In my 3 yrs of driving my kid to a school in a rural area, after dropping him I often drove almost the same route in
the pretty, rural terrain, adding an unnecessaryhour plus to my roundtrip,
just because I did, andit became a habit. Imo someone made SZ familiar with Terri’s habits.

In my house, that whole ride the bus home from school on its rural route that day was fishy. At one time we had his bus route here and knew which stop he was and the bus timeline. Here hi schools let out first, and el eds last. You can bet if my 7 yo had a grueling 5 hr drive (both ways that weekend), Kaine & his truck woukd’ve been waiting at school for his release and trucked straight on from there, and Quinn woukd’ve been told to rendevous at Skyline at X time if he wanted a ride, even if he had to leave his own school a bit early. That way Kaine would have missed evening traffic, and K woukd’ve been there at 8.
looks like mcso is now adding a Fairview contract
this expansion of services by contract to small communities has

DY likes to take a lot of license in her statements to the press. I may be that she was not driving or only drove the last hour when TY became tired having already driven 4 hours So DY makes it sound like she drove the entire way to make things sound more dramatic.

I find that very strange. I envisioned all this time that it was TY driving with DY a mess in the passenger side. Hmm. That seems significant somehow. It could be she was more angry than panicked. Some people become hyper-focused when angry and maybe this was going to be the match to the fire (as in her anger at KH and TH) and she could let loose on both of them. Would that not make sense given what we’ve seen for the past 5+ years? Her anger would override the very serious situation regarding Ky and the focus becomes this strange triangle (KH, TH, DY) instead of on Ky?
I also wonder why TY would have let her drive and so it suggests something, to me, about their relationship and possibly what she’s like when angry.

I agree about the driving arrangement seeming strange – but then it could also be he was short on sleep, had reading to catch up on, phone calls to make, it was her car (if they have 2). The question that strikes me is, given all she has said about herself since then, who would be comfortable riding with her? But if she has a spotless driving record, then why not, I suppose?
I am furious at DY. What is she doing and what is she trying to hide by misleading everyone? Adults saw them after that, Zimmerman, Porter just to name two.

They never crested the doorway until they returned to the truck, retrieved the backpack, headed to Kyron’s classroom, hung up his jacket and backpack and toured the SF, ensuing pics, etc. Further evidence of this is the fact that Kyron’s jacket and backpack were hanging in his classroom still when it was discovered he was missing.

What if:
TMH did in fact tell RSE she wanted her husband done away with.
RSE did, contrary to his testimony, find someone to do the job.
RSE, however, has no idea who was to do the job, because he went through a middle man.

TMH at some point called off the hit, which resulted in the following scenario:
So, LE, looking for any kind of connection of SZ to the family, finds RSE. LE interviews TNH regarding RSE and TMH tells them he was simply hired to do some yard work. LE contacts RSE. RSE, after being interviewed by LE, tells them she wanted someone to kill her husband, but of course he tells them he didn’t have anything to do with that, and declined the proposal.
Why would he tell them that? Why didn’t he contact the police when she made him the offer in the first place? Why didn’t he contact the police when a little boy went missing and tell them his step-mom was a dingbat?
Why? Maybe, because he did arrange the hit and the little bit of truth he gave, about knowing she wanted to off her husband had to somehow come out, because there were either texts from TMH or some other form of communication between RSE & TMH that LE now had, that had nothing to do with yard work and had to be explained.
So, after TMH tells RSE to call it off, RSE gets hold of JTR, who gets hold of hit-man to tell him to call off the hit. Hit man says no way can they leave this situation and simply walk away. She will turn them all in. Hit man says you get her money, because that will implicate her and otherwise she will talk. JTR tells RSE someone’s got to pay up, and RSE confronted TMH. This is the reason for TMH’s/RSE’s confrontation where he lunged at her. He has to pay up and she’s refusing to give the money. She even tells RSE, the part of her story about the $10k on KH every day, was BS, she just made it up. (She’s not afraid to call 911 on RSE, because in her mind she’s innocent, she called it off and never paid a dime. LE will believe her.) So Hitman can’t get the money by offing KH either. RSE tells her you either pay up or there will be hell to pay. (Calling off a hit, might just be more dangerous to the buyer of said services than going through with it, it potentially exposes Hitman, who I’m guessing, makes a living at this job and would not hesitate to take out all who are in any way connected to the crime.)
Meanwhile Hitman, now being pissed off, and being afraid TMH will finger him via RSE, via JTR, gets back at her (he knows who she is, because he knows who he was supposed to take out, KH), but TMH doesn’t know who HE is. (She can honestly say, she has no idea who took Kyron.) Hitman follows TMH around for a few days. Decides if she won’t pay him, he’ll take her next precious thing away, a child. He follows her to the school that day, as soon as she leaves, he takes Kyron. He now knows, she won’t be talking, because this would all be her fault. He also takes out JTR with some bad drugs/overdose, and leaves his body right where the searches have been taking place, as a warning to all those involved, and by doing so, all Hitman’s direct connections to TMH are severed. (Also no way RSE can now be connected to Hitman, because JTR was the only connection.) Silence or you or your loved ones will be next. This also would explain TMH’s dropping of the initial custody fight over the baby and her acceptance of the limited parenting plan. She would know, that she is, by her own actions, a serious threat to the safety of her children. This is also why she hired Houze, not because of her abduction of Kyron, but because it was her fault he was abducted, and she now knows it. (FWIW, if this scenario is anything close to what happened, I don’t think TMH ever realized her children would be in jeopardy until AFTER Kyron went missing.)
If this were the scenario? Would it make any difference in finding a little boy, if RSE said I contacted this now dead-guy, and he contacted someone, whom I don’t know who said he’d do the job? Would it make any difference in finding a little boy, if TMH said I contacted RSE who contacted someone who I don’t know (who is now dead) and he contacted someone who would try to kill my husband, but then I called it off. Maybe I’m wrong, but I think all that would do, would put both of them in jail. Kyron would still be missing and Hitman is out doing his thing.

PS, I know Blink doesn’t think there ever was a MFHP, but since I don’t think TMH had anything to do with having Kyron abducted, I have to have a reason why she hired Houze and even more, why she gave up custody of her little girl. This is the only thing that makes sense to me.
(I’m sure we’ve probably gone over something like this scenario before, but the placement of JTR’s body, still seems like it must be relevant to this case. Not to mention, LE’s silence on that matter as well.)

I’m assuming the logical conclusion relating to this case is that if a family member did not abduct and harm Kyron, the chances are very high that the person who did is, or will someday be, considered a serial offender. The research linked above points out that previous research on serial murders was based on information collected after the offender was known and is not so helpful during an active investigation for a variety of reasons.
This research is very interesting. Two things stand out – not really new, but reinforced – (1) finding a body is not absolutely necessary to solving the case, but close to it, and (2) the FBI has experts who can, want to, and will provide assistance in investigating cases involving serial offenders, knowing that most investigators do not have as much training in this area as with other crimes.
Bottom Line – again: MCSO should be turning this case over to the FBI. If Terri really is responsible, MCSO should have nothing to fear by having the case reviewed by experts who have no reason to cover that up (once proven).

in the two murders and be reconfined at the same old State Hospital for life. The 2 murders occurred before his incarceration and treatment. He responded to Lupron (even if he manipulated) and cognitive treatment. However releasing him to poverty and a transiet motel and a shady nonprofit State contractor (housing in a State campground?) guaranteed reoffense. Offenders like him requiring an injectable and institutionalized for 2 decades need integration prior to release into a structured day program, then a supervised group house, and injection under supervision at an outpatient clinic with continued therapy to have a shot. I cannot find where he was if he was traveling between Lompoc and Federal Way (Aug 2010) in June 2010. The FBI should have been able to determine that after his arrest 1 in March 2015. But they were rolling up known murder 2. Probably they were working on the arrest 1 in 2014. A reasonable suspicion of him would explain no searches and no explanations for Young.

2010 vehicle ownership would’ve been registered in Calif in early 2010.
Mcso should’ve gotten & run his plates for Apr – July for any OR tickets, etc.
And seen if he had a trackable cell in 2010 when it was determined he was passing
thru. And shown his pic to all Mathews room witnesses. And gotten surveillance video that
summer between the southerly direction & school. So much for that Task Force productivity
in the face of tunnel vision.
Re Rasmuson – The big question is… where was he on June 4, 2010? I don’t think LE has a fricken clue. And THAT might be the biggest defense fact for Houze’s case.
This guy is much more plausible as a suspect than the mother that raised this little boy.

I am of the opinion this hypothetical Counselor-liaison’s work was what averted a PPS tort suit by bios. in this particular egregious negligence case I suggest it is likely there was ongoing consultation by a Central Office Counseling staff honcho coordinating with pps Legal. (After all, Kaine thinks internal employee org legal consults are the norm.) I think Elden came to Desiree via a PPS intermediary, a friend of Margie. What do you think?

@Rose – Those Duh moments can really make a dent in my forehead sometimes.
I agree about the PPS connection suggestion you mentioned and an upper level liaison assigned to work with the bios – highly likely. I’m not sure about the counselor part. I can think of some in the past, when PPS had a lot more administrative staff, who would have been my definite choice for that responsibility. Not so much now, but maybe there is someone – since Carol has been in PPS a long time, she would know people she feels she could trust (a requirement for this effort).
However, I’m wondering about the PPS IB administrator who was at the SF and who would have worked closely during the year with the school. Neither bio was involved with the school then, but they would feel she was district-knowledgeable (20 plus years) and personally familiar with what happened since she was there. I know her – she has been a teacher, high school principal and a PPS lobbyist in Salem with the legislature in the past. She’s compassionate, honest, a good communicator, and fair – if anyone had any information that wasn’t made public, she would, in my opinion, although I know she would keep confidential whatever was expected of her. I think they would trust her. Just a thought.
