Kyron Horman Missing Case: Terri Horman Breaks Her Silence In People Magazine Interview

New York, NY-  For nearly five and a half years Terri Horman has refused to speak publicly about her step-sons case.  Outside of one assertion of her innocence while on the stand in a name change hearing she ultimately was denied, Horman did not speak to any reporters or answer any of their questions regarding Kyron Hormans disappearance. Until Now.

Horman courtesy of People

Horman was interviewed by People Magazines Elaine Aradillas for both the print and online editions,  and will be doing a series of personal interviews over the next week, to include wwww.blinkoncrime.com.

In the brief online video excerpt , the second part to air on ABC’s Good Morning America Friday morning,  Horman  maintains she is deaf in her left ear, a critical factor in the outcome of her first polygraph.

“… At what point are Kyron’s biological parents going to realize I don’t have the answers, they need to change this thing around…”

“…There is so much the public is not being told about this investigation, that’s why I am doing this- nobody is looking for Kyron…”

Horman’s interview drew sharp reactions from Kaine Horman and Desiree Young, Kyron’s parents.

“…Why is she silent for 5 1/2 years if she is innocent.  I want her to tell me where Kyron is.  If she is innocent she should call Multnomah County Sheriffs Office and sit down for an interview…”-  Desiree Young

“Hi friends. Yes I am well aware of the tabloid journalism piece in the media today. FYI – there will be more of the same coming Friday
We have a HOST of MCSO and FBI investigators STILL standing by with interviews and polygraphs when someone actually wants to cooperate. FEEL FREE TO STOP BY THEY ARE WAITING!! STILL!! Until then we’ll stick with the scores of people with valid/accurate information and the failed polygraphs as the only actual actions taken to-date.  To all of you: how about not linking the article/interview?
REMEMBER KYRON?!?!? This is what we need to be focused on!!
Love you Kyron!!” – Kaine Horman post on his Facebook Page

Christina Stoy, www.blinkoncrime.com Editor In Chief was able to confirm with Ms. Horman directly that she has been willing to meet with Kyron’s investigators both previously and in the future with the sole provision that it be conducted in the presence of her Attorney,  Portland criminal defense lawyer Stephen Houze.

Horman went on to say that investigators with the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office have been well aware of “that” over the last five and a half years and they have never requested an interview.  Um, What?

Horman reveals some shocking details about the subsequent polygraphs examinations referenced by Kaine Horman and Desiree Young and other allegations of improper tactics on behalf of MCSO in the second half of her interview to air tomorrow morning on abc’s GMA and on Nightline.

I would think it psychological progress for Desiree to continue her current Medford activities June 4 and NOT drive to Portland to a parking lot fence, and she chose well. one knows based on her behavior as recently as Jan 2016 that she will be on much media once Terri’s statements are published, AND there have been moderator comments on the FB pp that Desiree plans a “search” this year. I believe an anti “evil one” media tour post TH interview will tout gofundme and a search. Her problem is her searches must be limited to where TH was that day, as DY’s identified perp, and she and mcso have been there done that plenty.

She used helium. The box was there.

That’s what I meant about feeling sorry for her, working mostly alone with 2 girls to

  3. Rose says:

I thought maybe Soldier was so reading challenged, she could not see compliments about herself when given.
Then I realized her interpretations come down not to facts or plain words but the fact every action and thought on her part in this case comes down to one word, “combative.” She is simply combative. That is not a good influence on Desiree imo.

Plain ole keyboard bully, who btw, thinks you are Terri. Lol, this is the kind of intellect we are dealing with.

iirc the car washes were kicked off as media events in the towns where

Your question about the floods. Yes, we have a lot of rain. The lakes, rivers and creeks are all full and the ground is saturated. We are high and dry at our location, but some of the low water crossings are not passable. None that affect out travel to town.

We had a weak cold front through the area this morning with cirrus clouds at 30,000 feet and very wet cumulus clouds at 2,500 to 3,000 feet. They didn’t give us any water but East of us got some. The Colorado river at Bay City was flowing at 15,100 cfs. Bay City is on the coast about 15 miles by river from its mouth. That 15,100 cubic feet per second could fill a large 55,000 barrel storage tank in about 25 seconds. I did the math on that one.

I hope your are feeling better and getting stronger each day.

Getting a laugh about the “Wife beater” shirts. T-shirts were an invention of the military during world war II. I early 1943 they began to appear in the stores in white for civilian use. Prior to that both plain and ribbed under shirts “tank” shirts were all that were available.

Those shirts are available in slim cut or full cut. The macho guys buy them one or two sizes smaller to show off their muscles or lack thereof.

kaine Horman is a bulked up guy. That may be for psychological reasons to advertise “don’t mess with me”.

    (sort of OT re PPS)
    6-5-16
PORTLAND, Ore. — Portland Parks and Recreation officials have shut off the water fountains at the Multnomah Arts Center, after finding elevated levels of lead in test results from 2013.

Mark Ross with Parks and Rec said the department had looked through past test results recently, and they found the MAC had test results that “cause concerns.”

Drinking fountains were replaced or installed with filters on May 31, 2016 after elevated levels of lead were found in some fountains back in 2013.

Ross says Parks and Rec leaders found out about the elevated levels of lead on June 3, 2016. It’s unknown why leaders were not made aware of the increased lead levels until three years after the tests.

“I am sorry that Portland Parks & Recreation did not notify the Commissioner in Charge or the MAC community of these test results when they occurred, and that we did not ensure that protocols were in place to ensure immediate and complete remediation,” said PP&R Director Mike Abbaté. “Over the coming weeks, we will review what happened and institute new safety and reporting protocols.

Elevated levels of lead were also found in some MAC sinks in 2011, 2012 and 2013.

Some corrective actions have been taken, but Ross says all fountains have been shut off and the sinks have been marked not for drinking as a precautionary measure.

“We are retesting the site so that our staff and visitors can be assured that lead levels for drinking water are within EPA guidelines,” Abbaté said.

In the meantime, bottled water has been provided for all MAC staff and visitors.

Officials will also test water at the Portland Children’s Museum and the Fulton Community Center, due to the age of the buildings and the likelihood for prolonged access to drinking water by vulnerable populations (expectant mothers or young children). Ross said officials have started a flushing protocol at those sites prior to opening them each day.

“I have directed PP&R to institute immediate testing of the three priority park sites, and to work with technical experts to review the potential need for periodic systematic testing throughout our facilities,” said Commissioner Amanda Fritz. “I have also requested information on remediation work that has occurred in the past at all Parks facilities, and an explanation of the delay in taking action at Multnomah Arts Center. We know that many Parks buildings have infrastructure such as pipes that needs replacing. I will continue to prioritize public safety and prudent investments to keep working on fixing our aging parks.”

    http://katu.com/news/local/most-schools-in-oregon-not-required-to-test-for-lead-in-drinking-water
    (snipped)
KATU’s On Your side Investigators made the shocking discovery Wednesday, estimating fewer than 10 percent of schools in Oregon are required to monitor for lead in water. Those are schools, mostly in rural areas, that have their own water supply.

But as for the rest of the state’s schools that use water from public utilities, like those in the Portland area, they don’t have to monitor lead in water.

Kari Salis, a regional manager for the Oregon Health Authority’s drinking water program, said Wednesday it’s up to schools to report it.

“There are no federal or state requirements to monitor for lead in schools in drinking water,” she said.

And if schools do run tests, they don’t have to report the results to you, the state or federal government or anyone else.

Salis said she believes only a handful of Oregon schools are having to make special repairs related to lead in water, but neither she nor her agency, nor the Oregon Department of Education, nor the Environmental Protection Agency could provide KATU with any hard numbers Wednesday.

“There isn’t a centralized system to report results or to have regular testing,” Salis said. “If somebody called me up and said, ‘Hey, I’ve tested for lead,’ I would be like, ‘I don’t know what to do with that information. … We don’t have a system in place.”
    ————————————–

These articles reminded me of some things from almost 30 years ago.
First, the Multnomah Arts Center in the first article above is a former PPS grade school. One family member graduated from there, others haven taken art and dance classes. Classes are an hour or less and then you leave. I doubt anyone drank more than a few swallows of water at a fountain, if any. Water bottles are more popular, but kids do refill them from fountains.

The second article reminded me of my last (pre-retirement) PPS school where I began working in 1986. It is the oldest high school on the West Coast still in its original location. Everything newer has been added on over the years.

When I came, I was surprised to see big water coolers in administrator’s offices. People in my office area chipped in to pay for delivery of water as well. Some of us would quietly give water to kids if they asked (there were fountains close by). A lot of kids either didn’t drink anything or drank huge soft drinks, neither were healthy practices. It was clear the “powers that be” did not trust the water. However, the kitchen used it for washing and cooking. I asked questions and was told bottled water tasted better and the kids’ water was fine. For years, we had pregnant teens and a daycare, and of course, pregnant teachers.

It reminded me that at one point (mid-1990’s I think) the custodians in our building were told to run all the fountains for 10-15 minutes before school every day. I would see that as I came to work. I believe this ended when the district tried to eliminate the custodians as a group and contract out the work instead. All this was WELL before the dates being mentioned in the news now.

Families TRUSTED the schools to take care of their children. Maybe we want to believe that because there are no other options for most families. Sound familiar?

My least favorite word this month is “protocols”. It seems to be the new location for the “buck” to stop. I’m sorry, dear kids, I just didn’t have the protocols in place for the groceries to get from the store to our house and for the dinner to be cooked – but I’ll get to work on what those protocols should be and maybe by August, dinners will resume. (Of course you shouldn’t consider replacing me – I meant well.)

While we are at it, how about: We’re sorry the investigation was botched so badly – we just didn’t have the appropriate protocols in place to even learn how to know what to do.

(Wishful thinking) Perhaps someone who worked on the investigation for MCSO in the lower ranks will approach retirement age with nothing to lose, and will explode from holding in the truth for so long, allowing us to know more about what a mess this was, and why.

He said No one can rationally expect the Sec of State to know about the security arrangement details at the numerous embassies where personnel are threatened. (You expect your dept heads to do their jobs.)
Must’ve been some mgr within PPS who knew of these water test results.

I hope Teri’s follow on to publication is a suit against MCSO
before Staton leaves taking public skepticism about mcso
leadership with him. Everyone will pull for Reese’ success.

I believe the answer to “jurisdiction” is as likely as not a personal relationship between Reese & Staton in 2010 as anything. They probably dined on donuts as deputies together in 1996. I can see Staton calling him up June 5 saying you’re new as Chief, let me have this one. I figure Staton always planned to pave the way for Reese to be appointed when he left, and Gates was just a placeholder.

Your post about the lead leads me to believe that the water supply is sourced from a surface facility and underground (wells) that may be mixed. If the taste is bad, lead is not the only problem. Other minerals such as sulphur could be present. Sulphur will cause brewed tea to become almost black instantly.

The next thing is we are referencing an unknown quantity of lead. Elevated levels are indefinite because there are no references to the actual quantity found in relation to a known standard. Most reporters do not understand science and therefore must have someone explain the details to them. If not done, they simply generalize the data.
