Dr. Phil Show Hosts Missing Portland Child Kyron Horman’s Step Mom Terri Horman Over Two Episodes

I have been covering this case since Kyron Horman disappeared from Skyline School in June, 2010.    Like most missing persons cases I have covered in the past,  I am of the strong opinion that best efforts at the truth are the only way to propel investigations that, similarly to Kyron’s, have gone cold for one reason or another.   This approach has worked in resolving some of my previous cases.    I am proud of that.  I remain steadfast to the integrity involved in those and future cases.

Over the past 10 months (or so) I have been developing an updated series on Kyron’s case to include my multiple interviews with Kyron’s step-mom,  Terri Horman.   Needless to say as she was the subject of at least three simultaneous cases before an Oregon court and remains a person of interest by the agency investigating her sons disappearance, this has been an arduous and sometimes delicate journey.    Ms. Horman’s experiences during the ongoing investigation of the disappearance of Kyron Horman are critically important to propelling his case and with great hope- finding the truth about what happened to this cherubic and innocent child.    There are dozens of sources,  collateral interviews, forensic experts and legal analysts that also contribute to my series and have done so because of their belief that my motivation is to bring to light information and opinions in such a way that would almost “require” a focused review of Kyron’s case and the likely shaking of that proverbial tree everyone talks about.

Set to publish about 6-ish weeks ago I was asked to postpone the first installment of the series, which I did.  I subsequently learned Ms. Horman was participating in the Dr. Phil program after she completed taping.  Dr. Phils producers were well aware that Ms. Horman had interviewed with me extensively, and anticipated my series would be publishing information that was not known to the public previously in the days prior to her scheduled episode.    When Ms. Horman conveyed to me that she feels obligated to speak out about “her son” in any national medium that will have her,   I most certainly respected that.  I still do.

While Dr. Phil seems like a gregarious fellow for sure,   I have zero interest in being associated with his program, nor do I believe his shows content is designed to do any furtherance of investigation or truth.  There is much concern (although I have no affiliation to the show whatsoever) that the timing of the publication of my series on the Kyron Horman matter might be interpreted differently or inadvertently contribute to the programs content or audience reactions.     Not what I signed on for.   A missing 7 year old boy six years running is not a framework for entertaining a target audience.   He is not fodder for online social media bully campaigns- yet it occurs.

I will be publishing my series on Kyron’s case at a later date, in it’s entirety with no editing adjustments as a result of any of the appearances on Dr. Phil.   I appreciate your patience and your understanding.   Feel free to discuss the show below.

You have performed hours and hours of research looking for connectivity of SZ to persons involved in activities at Skyline. That is just persistent detective work that should have been done by LE.

All sociopath’s are not aware or do not care about the pain they cause others by their activities. There are other mental patterns such as bi-polar people who flip off to another dimension when they have an attack.

Criminals who practice their activities do not have a conscience because they have mentally suppressed any thought that they have committed a wrong. They only thing that bothers them is the fear that they will get caught and punished. Some are so very clever that it takes a long time for them to make a mistake large enough to be caught.

In this case, we have a person who has the intelligence to advance to a responsible job in a large corporation, yet chooses to have personal life that includes illegal purchase of steroids and includes sexual activities that are considered outside the moral norms of society.

Both of those personal behaviors lead to contact with other persons in society that have low values in their lifestyle.

LE should have done a two pronged investigation. One side concentrating on persons having contact with Kyron’s father, mother and stepmother. The other side beginning at the school and tracking as many activities of all personnel at the school including those who had a reason to be on campus in recent times.

I used the word poor in an earlier post in reference to MCSO personnel and I did not mean lacking in money, it was in reference to their lacking in mental capacity and training.

I admit I have a particular training and interest in the psycopath v sociopath aspects of APD as it relates to personality disorder. You have probably seen me quote his work often, or cite it, but for me the US expert on the sociopathic psychopathic personality and the creator of the “Hare Psycopathy checklist” is Dr. Richard Hare. (Dr. Meloy a close 2nd) I gave a presentation at Temple a few years ago to its Neuro students on clinical differences between sociopath and psychopaths with criminal case examples (otherwise wth would I be invited to be in a lecture where I was clearly the least intelligent, lol). One of the most impactful breakthroughs in psycopathy field (in my very humble and non scholarly opinion) is through the brain scan study of alzheimers patients by James Fallon. If ANYONE has any interest in the study of anti social personality disorder and what I would call a very solid argument that psychopaths are mostly born, not “made” you must read “The Psychopath Inside” by James Fallon. Utterly fascinating and personal research I find myself referencing or citing frequently in case work.

I mention this because I want to highlight that whether or not one is truly a psychopath or a sociopath, they still very much are capable of making a decision on whether or not to be a criminal. They simply do not process that decision, or their actions, or the outcome like “normal” people.

The boy scouts age range is eleven years up to eighteen. Kyron was too young for boy scouts, but would have qualified for cub scouts. It would depend on the physical size of the average boys in a cub scout pack as to their suitability to assist in a project like removing ivy and other plants in a clean-up operation. The boy scouts age range was between twelve and eighteen when I was in the scouts.

@erose/truth. I had an attitude to jinnet bcz i confused her with inahara. Our public schools suffer imo when
mothers bring their personal values & strongly held beliefs to in the name of doing good impose all kinds of personal stuff on a child student campus. Skyline kids would be A-OK growing up into being responsible recyclers if their eled refuse was not going to a personal slops project. And any pta volunteer or a school employee could do what the Americorps person did. Once help get a drug abusing prostitute cps court involved mother into Americorp when she requested it (no good outcome). maybe that Americorp population differs now. In my area domineering PC pta women after their last child graduates & they age out just take the same projects & schtick to Town Committees, where if they had their way, we’d all be fined if we didn’t put out compost buckets weekly and install solar panels. I really felt i saw in her “grants” our neighborhood queen bees and felt she was unrestrained by the principal. I felt she should bring these enterprises of hers to ADULTS in Grange, or a community center, or other public settings not involving eled kids who were captive clients in a required public school setting. I don’t like volunteers who wreak their own agendas on child captive clients. end soapbox.

Thanks for the references Blink. I will take a look at their information.

After posting the entry where you replied, I went out to Amazon Books and read the introduction and a portion of the first chapter of Thomas Sowell’s book “Intellectuals and Society” where he spends some time explaining a concept of intellectuals and where they are to be found. The look inside feature will give access to the information.

I am sure the students at Temple University learned some valuable information from your lecture. You IMO, were not the least of the intellectuals in the room. Instead, you were the equal of any of them.

I also agree about the sociopaths and psychopaths not processing a decision the same way as normal people. It is probably true that psychopaths are more than likely born rather than created by society in the social environment.

Several days ago I referenced a study of crime in the Philadelphia area in the late 1950′s of a group of families from France. DNA was not even on the scientific front at the time, but they did recognize the possibility of heredity being the prime reason for their criminal behavior,

Scientists have also used lab rats to test a theory of behavior and knowledge being able to be transferred from one generation to the next. This was done by teaching a generation of rats to run a difficult matrix and then using their offspring to run the matrix. The majority of the offspring were able to run it as fast as their parents the first time they tried.

This tells me that DNA or some other chemical memory is transferable from one generation to the next. We are in the beginning stages of learning about the DNA chain and how it affects later generations in their physical statue, intelligence including transferred knowledge and possible behavior. Then one of the questions is if lab rats can transfer knowledge about a matrix to their next generation, does it transfer to the human as well. What are the markers in the DNA that are changed by the experience of a single generation?

(someone who does is someone he believes 100%).
My thoughts on this today though, lead me to more proof to my knowledge that TMH had nothing to do with Kyron going missing (not that I needed any). It seems one can have the allele, plus a certain pkg of brain connections evident on a brain scan, but the 3rd stool leg is nurture in utero-say 3. If family life is primarily violent & harsh = a psychopath who acts out violence in life. If loving, like his parents, one is able to inhibit the genetic and limbic system predeterminants and “become a leader” altho psychopathic tendencies are evident to family & colleagues (ie lack of empathy, me first, selfishness). He has a yourube on making a dictator I haven’t viewed yet.

It is worth watching the whole tape.
    —-
@Tiny. my bet is kaine has the allelle and brain scan akin to Fallon, and like him had early loving nurture, thus kaine found job success. Fallon points out he (Fallon) abnormally lacks empathy and is abnormally selfish with family members. The difference between Fallon and kaine was his wife tolerated his abnormalities and also was the good enough parent to their kids, Fallon knew even at 66 something was wrong with him and set about to observe and change himself, Imo Kaine was and is incapable of empathy or selflessness wrt kiara or her mother.

Fallon was selfish in his pursuits, but because he had terrific fear of early onset alzheimers- largely hereditary.
We are all familiar with the frontal lobe discoveries – actual brain activity scans are amazing to me.

  22. A Texas Grandfather says:

I had forgotten that James was in scouts. If he was a part of the clean-up brigade at Skyline, then it is possible that Kyron may have been there. Kyron could possibly have helped with some of the work although his very small size for his age would have limited his activities.

In regards to Fallon’s situation, I believe that some are able to recognize a mental difference that is not good and through knowledge and determination are able to overcome most of the bad effects. A loving and caring family is one of the requisites to success.

In an interesting aside, thirty plus years ago when personal computers first appeared and color monitors with fast scan rates were interfaced to them, one of the demo programs was brain scans done by two university of Washington professors. I am also hopeful that the brain mapping project funded by Microsoft founder Paul Allen will produce positive help in finding the cause of many human behaviors.

    @Tiny says: August 12, 2017 at 9:47 am

I have always believed, and still do….Kaine does not think TMH had anything to do with it.

I have never seen any evidence that Kaine had direct or indirect involvement. For that reason, I personally do not believe he was involved directly. That said, to my knowledge, he is the only person connected to the missing child who’s illegal activity (admitted in court) led to multiple felony arrests of others. That fact alone raised Kyron’s victimology profile for me from low risk to moderate risk and as anyone trained and certified in the investigative protocols of FBI BAU- means Kaine and his steroid purchases, use and whatever else tied to it hit the top of the food chain for scrutiny. I have zero idea why it did not, and I am positive that it did not. The issue cannot be excluded to date as a potential nexus to Kyron’s disappearance as far as I am concerned.

Lastly- I believe it is self serving to Kaine to continue to say he believes Terri was involved. Like many, I personally do not believe he actually thinks that today, no.

A mother raising a male child alone is a prescription for problems unless the child has a male adult of good moral character to guide him.

Since allelles refers to any type of mutated gene, where would that fit and is a harsh early childhood a known? Or, is your comment merely an illustration of a possible situation?

  30. A Texas Grandfather says:

One of the major problems of current times is the pushing of events for young children into an area that was formerly reserved for older youths.

A prime example is sports where six year olds are taught to play T-ball long before they have developed the co-ordination of their bodies and to top it off, they are provided full uniforms instead of letting them play in jeans and t-shirts. This is false ego building by parents who do not understand the necessity of letting the child learn the skills by playing sandlot games with peers or slightly older children.

    You’re killing me smalls.

    xo
    B

  31. A Texas Grandfather says:

I have zero interest in “killing me smalls”. Instead, my goal is to allow the natural play skills of young children to develop by interaction with their peer groups without the regimented direction of adults with misplace altruism.

At age six, some children are not advanced in body co-ordination as others. They are not ready to play in a competitive adult directed sports activity. They are also all different sizes with a wide range of body strengths. They are able to learn from those near their age a lot better than in a regimented activity.

    XO

My lovely and very much appreciated VP- “Your killing me smalls” is a line from the SANDLOT- one of my all time favorite movies to watch with our kids when they were little and at the start of their athletic careers. It actually supports your opinion. (mostly) Your homework is to give it a watch if you are so inclined when you force yourself to have some down time, which I bet is rare.

I still believe whomever took Kyron out of that school was VERY familiar with the school. Almost had to be IMHO. Not only that, but I believe they were also familiar not just with the layout, but the ongoing day-to-day activities there. Perhaps even familiar with exactly how special events are handled there as well. (Example, knowing, when bells ring, and buses arrive/leave, which doors remain open when, etc.) I just can’t get over the fact that the perp left behind zero clues. For me, that narrows the field considerably. Assuming that changes are made year-to-year and different policies implemented (whether followed or not!!) now and then; then I believe the crime (if in fact there was an abduction) was most likely committed by one of the following:

    1. Skyline staff or recent former staff (including teachers,
    substitute teachers, administrative personnel &
other employees (e.g., cafeteria, janitors, coaches etc.)
    2. Skyline student or recent former student.
    3. Skyline parent who volunteers regularly there, during school hours.
    4. Contracted employee who worked at the school regularly.

I list these folks based on which I feel are more likely to be involved, with the criteria being school familiarity. As you all know, I also feel Kyron may have very well been, at minimum, being groomed by one of these persons as well.

Anywho, I guess my question for Blink is, does this seem an unreasonable place to begin investigating based on what little we know. Because I have a gut feeling that LE has never investigated the majority of people who would be included in this list. TMH and any other parent like her, would have been toward the end of my list, and would not have been investigated until all the others were, so I still wonder why she was first? (Particularly if she was NOT the last to see him.)

If LE were to start over, where should they start? I would start as listed above. Also, did we ever find out if Logan Storm had ever substituted at Skyline?

  33. T. Ruth says:

Speaking of substituting, this dude was subbing in Springfield, OR:

    http://www.iheartmyteacher.org/index.php?threads/john-l-klinzmann-springfield-oregon-arrested-oct-2014-child-porn.17425/

He started this business in 2011 there, Wreck Tech Computing. https://www.angieslist.com/companylist/us/or/springfield/wreck-tech-computing-reviews-7659073.htm

Googling him shows his business was involved in a bunch of youth programs…..figures.
When I look him up, one of the places he lived was Monmouth. Small world. Looks like he went to college there. 2010?

Anywho, I just keep thinking someone like this dude, could slip right through the cracks and be there right under LE noses, and they didn’t bother to look.

I don’t know if this is relevant to this particular case, but I am aware that some sophisticated criminals create shell companies to hide behind sophisticated networks they install into their private homes to scramble or hide certain activity investigators tasked with uncovering “look for” in similar cases. I wish to be clear on this point- there are “pedophiles” that never act out or abuse a child, but are satiated by porn images they access through some means. The download and or acquisition of those images/files are a Federal crime whether or not they ever “evolve” per se.

Those freaks are just as guilty as creating a “market” for the sexual abuse of children captured or recorded as those that produce such sick trash. My point, I have stated very long ago that I do not believe there is a such thing as rehabilitation for deviant pedophilic behavior and there is no such thing as a victimless crime where it is concerned-

  34. A Texas Grandfather says:

In reference to Tiny and Redrose posts:

Your posts have raised the potential that Kyron was taken from Skyline by someone directed by the father in an effort to crush Terri in a criminal conspiracy. If that is true, then KH was very successful.

It also leads to the possibility that Kyron fought his abductor and was accidentally killed. This means that KH won and lost in the same action.
Terri was made the perp by LE and suffered all the effects of false accusations without proof of any criminal activity. Kain lost his son in the process. This can only be supported if evidence is found.

It may take a lot more years before the trail of evidence is tracked properly to find a resolution.

  35. A Texas Grandfather says:

My humble apologies Blink for being a little snarky in my reply to your comment. Movies are not one of my strengths. If they were, I would have recognized the quote. I watch few of them as I have other activities that fill my time.

That, in addition to playing in the band and an orchestra along with rebuilding my embouchure to accommodate the new dentures. Changing the muscle memory after seventy years of playing takes time and a lot of work.

As a good mom, you did spend time watching and selecting movies for your children.

I see no reason that LE wouldn’t be trying harder to solve this case unless they are trying to cover something up, and I think the cover up started with LE and Kaine being involved with steroids.

Cougars: Female teachers & staff who sexually abuse real children.

Tomcats: Male teachers & staff who sexually abuse real children. The term “tomcats” is not generally used for this, but I needed something parallel to “cougars” and settled on “tomcats”.

Hanky Panky: Other criminal misbehavior, both sexual but not involving real children (e.g. child sex stings, child pornography) and non-sexual (drugs, alcohol, dui, robbery, fraud, assault, etc.).”

    *************
There are 996 listed on here as “Tomcats”; male teachers who have physically sexually abused a child. There are 638 listed as “Cougars”; female teachers who have physically sexually abused a child. And this site wasn’t started, it looks like, until 2011/12.

Good Lord, this is scary. Yesterday I was just looking at the hanky-panky portion (300+ listings, child porn busts, etc.) and the winning State, if I tallied correctly, is by far and away FL (approaching double that of CA), followed by CA, TX, NY, PA, NJ, IL SC. Oregon is way down at the bottom. I don’t have time to go through the thousands listed in the Tomcats and Cougar categories. I’m sure this site probably isn’t totally comprehensive, but, even with my tally, it doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t more in any other state than another, it could just mean that the leading states are better at busting them. For instance in FL, I noticed a lot of the child porn cases were there because of “sting operations”. Perhaps other states don’t do that as much. Anyway, this is all overwhelming to me and I just wonder what can be done to better screen and keep an eye on our teachers across this country. Some of these teachers have been teaching for decades-plus and one sub teacher who was caught masturbating in a school was 75 years old. Good grief. Does it never end?

I have not seen this question before but I am curious. How “challenged” is Kyron? Could he grow up and be a functual adult or would he have to remain in the home?

He had an appt scheduled for June 11th to begin the Dx of that issue- but I do not believe anyone thought if he was ASPY or that he did in fact have issues with seizures that he was not high functioning. As far as I know, his behavioral cues did not seem to come from any sort of specific learning disability and he was very intelligent.

OT sorry ATG, been traveling, lst vaca in 25 years (short)
with a knee I destroyed in an accident a few mos ago, barely
able to walk (pain), so stairs to motel basement computer
just used for lst time. re allelles. I was summarizing the
two youtubes, urls above: Psychopath Inside and Mind of a Dictator (latter shorter & not as technical). As I understand it alleles
(w/o looking it up) are variations or certain subtypes of segments
of the dna on genomes. Mutation connotes something negative; imo these
are possible varieties of segments that may be incorporated in each individual. There are varieties of alleles he called “warrior genes” He posits if you have 4 or more of these warrior allelles, or certain ones, you have a prototype genetically for a psychopath (someone w/o empathy, narcisstic etc). He has these warrior genes in his own dna profile. He combines this with a limbic brain system that (I am doing this all from memory and have had a grueling week, so just watch the youtubes as I may remember very wrongly) is atypical and is characteristic of a psychopath (I think blue shows in areas less receptive to certain things like serotonin (the latter because brain has been flooded at some point, ie in utero, thus is less responsive to the serotonin released in the individual). iirc the limbic system is the Orbital area of the frontal lobe (not entire frontal lobe), the rear temporal medial lobe, and the amydyglia. And, his brain scan is a perfect match for a psychopath’s brain on scan. He thinks the third leg of a stool such that the predisposed individual by dna alleles and brain limbic system dysfunction is the early childhood environment, whether it is harsh or violent, or loving and soothing. He includes in Dictator you tube the research his team is doing on intergenerational transmission of the psychopathic profile once that gene and brain combination enters the intergenerational line. He is for example testing in an African nomadic area in harsh environmental conditions.

the Charlottesville killer may or may not have the dna warrior genes and brain limbic system dysfunction. He certainly lacks empathy. What I pointed out was he had the third stool leg contributor–the harsh early environment including in utero (as obviously mother was traumatizedby father’s violent death). Mother is paraplegic; perhaps she suffered that in the same car crash as killed father. If so, he too would have had physical injury even in utero in the crash.

very OT I am at the Aspen Music Festival in “cello” week hearing soloists like Alysa Weilerstein, and Edgar Meyer (bassist), & orchestra and chamber grps. I am in heaven for 4 days. I can’t walk tho & always extreme pain. Dau is midway in her north to TX drive. Alysa certainly has the warrior genes, her brilliant performer parents played too. In a 2 hour master class, I learned not only is she a foremost soloist, but the most intellectually gifted and verbally fluent woman I’ve ever heard speak. If she comes to Houston, do go.

ot I am watching TV all too much and enjoyed that funeral this morning. Heyer certainly had warrior genes as her family, boxx, and friends described, and the loving early environment.

btw based on brain formation Fallon (or I forget his name) the neurobiologist scientist suggested no soldier should be sent overseas to harsh theatres until after age 25, as the brain is still forming.

PS in the first Fallon youtube when he described how he as a psychopath functioned as a husband, and gave examples, all I thought of was well that fits Kaine too. Only Fallon sustained the marriage.

After a little research, I found the movie Sandlot was released in 1993.

It probably is already a classic kids movie. The plot reminds me of some of the our gang movies of the thirties. The last year we would have had children in the house of the appropriate age group to watch the movie would be 1974 or 75. That would have been the last to arrive who would have been ten or eleven.

It may be available on DVD at one of the rental stores.

Ask the grandkids or great grandkids! It is somewhat more inline with kids coming of age in sports themes, but pretty closely resembled your comment about kids in pick- up games with multiple age participants. I would also check any streaming services you may have, or apps, amazon prime, etc. You could possibly rent it (some subscriptions offer it free to view) and stream it online to any of your devices. I don’t know if this factors in to the discussion, but one of my take-aways from such activity as a kid was that indeed, life is not fair. I was raised to treat people and situations with fairness, but to not necessarily believe that “life” treats us fairly or that others might use the same code. We taught our children similarly. I think it is an important lesson. I am not into the whole “everyone gets a trophy” for participation thing- although it may be an unpopular stance. I happen to think that loss in a team environment boasts important lessons to kids and builds character.

  45. A Texas Grandfather says:

Most of the time in the world of inventions and discovery, history shows that multiple people unrelated or unknown to one another often have the same conclusion and ideas about a subject. Sometimes, they are able to work together in order to improve the invention or discovery. Or, sometimes their ideas are stolen and claimed by another. A prime example is the theft of the concept of a stored program computer design by one John Von Newman who made himself famous by promoting the ideas of others as if they were his own.

I am not surprised that using evidence from a completely unrelated experiment, that I would use the exact language that Dr. Fallon used. I have no time frame for Fallon’s thoughts, but the lab rat experiment was some years ago and my conclusion was made after reading about it.

Not exclusively no. It was only in part developed by the Vancouver inmate experience. He is incredibly adamant that Dx a “psychopath” should only ever be preformed by someone trained extensively in this area and I would agree with that. I find Fallon’s work to be less clinical in terms of understanding the data.
    B

Did Dr. Richard Hare develop his list of twenty criteria for psychopathy by working with prison inmates?

  46. Rose says:

@Tiny, I’ll place that bet alongside you.
And if there were more, I’d be unsurprized.

  47. Rose says:

Let’s face it Blink, just like in the child training & competition music perf world, or the dog show world, in all youth sports there are many narcisstic parents whose child is not suited athletically or musically tho they will gain skills, but for whom a parent, often tge male, narcissistically sees the child as an extension of himself and who demands too much. I have met so many in music. For that reason it is surprising kaine is not the one who had him in Tball and soccer and stood on the sidelines commenting. Suggests he did nit identify with kyron as his narcissism and controlling ways would have predicted. It’s kind of odd given tge lengths he went to to get exclusive control iver 2 children. And he’s not done it with kiara either, instead on weekends she’s hauled to his garage sales & car shows.

  48. Rose says:

Fallon retired from his research university at the right age where he firected the lab as a neurobiologist, also a prof of psychiatry. After retirement he established a foundation for research with peer colleagues in the same position. Frankly I find him more clinically & research rigorous at the highest phd supervisory univ-based training level than Hare but a better communicator in colliquial, lay terms.

A FAR better descriptor than I wrote, thank you Rose. You also have the benefit of the fact that what now (in my circle) elevates Fallon’s expertise is his own brain scan followed by what is definitely self DX field work, but quite honestly in his profession he had the best cross section of professionals to provide the necessary information and feedback.
I would also point out that Dr. Fallon is someone I consider as a psychopath who “uses his powers for good”. I understand and employ the concept and strategy of maintaining a clinical disposition in investigative and analytic work where the outcome is bleak (floabt). For those of us non-psychopaths, it is real work to check the empathy at the door.

  49. Rose says:

It seems even after 12 yrs Holloway’s dad continued to pay a PI to
locate her remains. That kaine never did that once, despite his
financial means, is the best support for Tiny’s bet.

To my knowledge nobody who has sought donations on behalf of Kyron’s disappearance in some fashion, has ever used same to hire anyone to preform a parallel and independent investigation. Not that they would have to, they could certainly request same from the ODOJ and the FBI, as two options. I am willing to say this on the record- there are sources within this very investigation that believe that the reason Terri remains a defacto suspect is because the minute either parent would be informed they might be moving in a different direction, or have cleared her, MCSO faces a civil suit at a minimum, a request for oversight by the aforementioned agencies is not welcome or MCSO would have requested it themselves.

  50. A Texas Grandfather says:

Thanks B for the information about the work of Dr. Hare. If he only used data collected from prison inmates, he had a circumscribed group who were there because of bad behavior. Some of which was bound to be caused by genetic inheritance.

Without reading his work, I have no information about how he conducted his research or how he proved it by comparing his findings to random samplings of the general population. Perhaps he did. If he didn’t, he is guilty of proposing a theory and conclusion and then finding the data to match the original theory. We find this type of non-scientific work too often in modern times.
