Caylee/Casey Anthony Case Bombshell: Proof George Anthony Lied

Orlando, FL– In a bombshell released in discovery today, evidence George Anthony could not have been telling the truth about June 16th.; allegedly the last time he saw Casey and Caylee leave:

CellJune16sm

According to the Investigative Report Excerpt regarding the Cell phone ping study, Casey did not leave the Anthony home until 4:14PM on June 16th. Not the 12:50PM time he told Investigators and recounted in several media interviews. Most recently, George refused to discuss the last time he saw his granddaughter Caylee during the deposition in the civil case against his daughter, lodged by Zenaida Gonzalez.

Given the previously released computer forensics, whereby we know Casey was on the home computer on an IM chat in the morning this supports the fact she was in the home, and as the calls begin on Casey’s cell, she is leaving the residence.

SO.. Could it be George who never came home the evening of June 15th? Did Casey leave her cell phone there the evening before and come back? Impossible. She was on it.

Message to Leonard: This makes one more.. LOL.. Told You.

Cindy’s co-worker, Debbie Bennett, said Cindy told her about the pool ladder incident when it happened during the week of June 16. Debbie said Cindy also told her when George called Gentiva on the morning of June 24 to say the shed had been broken into. Debbie told OCSO that the pool ladder incident had happened a couple of days before the shed break-in.

So unless this conspiracy includes coaching Debbie Bennett to lie for Cindy, the pool ladder incident happened 3-4 weeks before Casey’s arrest, and long before Jose Baez showed up.

I say maybe Debbie has a few inconsistencies in her story, but maybe then we rely on Mark Fuhrman, who maintains the A’s are adamant about the 17th.

Kleat, wanted to give you an idea what kudzu is (didn’t I read you were in Canada?) and why I have had one of my questions answered. I can see where the bag could easily have been overlooked & hard to find.

    First look at this:
    http://www.jjanthony.com/kudzu/houses.html

Now look at this and remember how cleared the site was by forensics. And how grown up it already was when this was filmed. Can you imagine how “snakey” it would have looked prior? That rattle snake would have made many shy away from walking around in there. (I bet meter readers will find another spot to relieve themselves lol!).

I think the state might have a reason for keeping that rattle snake. A six foot rattler with that many rattlers will strike fear in many six foot men with no rattlers! (A certain PI on a mission, too?)

Blink, do you (or others here) think the Anthonys are depending on a “book deal” to support themselves in the future? Will they “share” whatever monies they receive with the Milsteds and Baez?

I wonder where they learned such evil behavior? Shirley Pleasea appears to be a nice lady, as well as Cindy’s brother Rick. Surely they realize that lying is wrong, yet the whole family lies constantly! Very strange, very sad.

blink, if Baez has all of the evidence that points to Casey’s guilt, which I’m sure being an attorney and being able to spot a no win situation, why is he being stubborn and willing to role the losing dice and chance for Casey to receive the death penalty, instead of sparing her with a life in prison with no parole plea bargain?

    The Pool Ladder Incident:

    A) Either it actually, truthfully occurred (which is a possibility);
    OR
    B) It is a fabricated event.

If, as Maura points out, Cindy’s co-worker accurately recalls Cindy mentioning it back in mid-late JUNE, 2008:

A)Someone left the ladder up against House Rules (which existed to protect Caylee), and it concerned Cindy so much that she mentioned it at work (only a day after she last saw Caylee, which means she was already very concerned that something bad had happened to Caylee) (THINK ABOUT THAT)
    OR
B)Someone (Cindy) had a reason (already) to set up an “alibi” of sorts (regarding the CAUSE of Caylee’s demise).

This is not your typical dysfunctional family.

Remember- Casey was committing serious and sophisticated (for her educational back round) financial crimes. (She used a routing number on a check. This is not something an ordinary young person would even contemplate, let alone some very highly educated adults with many more years under their belts).

Please do not overlook this fact. She was a seasoned criminal by June, 2008. Her main “accomplice” in her criminal activities was Cindy (who not only failed to expose it, but who also EXCUSED it).

    Either:
    A) Cindy did not understand how far out-of-control Casey was as of June, 2008;
    OR
    B) Cindy is covering for Cindy as well as for Casey

I’m not saying one way or the other.
    Just putting it out there.

Unanimity is key to people being free to express themselves here/maintain their privacy (and perhaps their safety, which is paramount to the other concerns). But I know that I sure would enjoy to get together with many of the people who post here over a sober dinner some night after the trial to compare notes and discuss how our opinions may have been altered by evidence we were not privy to at this juncture. I am– much to my husband’s dismay– almost as intense about this case as I always tend to be about my own cases. (if anyone could invent waterproof legal pads, I would much appreciate it, as i often seem to come up with good ideas when i am in the shower at ridiculous hours;)

Oh have to comment on the June 17th date and Mark Fhurman.

In both LE and FBI interviews the A’s both talk about the pool ladder incident, but poor them, can’t remember a date.

Then when Mark Fhurman shows up with Greta, they tell him when he asked about the pool ladder incident, without any hesitation per Mark, it was definitely June 17th.

Needless to say Mark went to LE with that info. LE said that due to all the inconsistencies in their story’s, they knew the A family was not being truthful or honest..pick a word..with them.

This is a short video by a layperson (for laypeople like most of us) that introduces the earlier book by Dr. Hare, “WITHOUT CONSCIENCE”. This was done by a Scottish musician named Antony (without ‘h’) and nicknamed ‘Ants’ and the video created March 18, 2008– so there IS coincidence in our world! (Pure coincidence as this is no reaction to the case at hand and the book read and video made before the world heard of Casey Anthony.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m6uNQOUxX44&feature=channel

Ants reaction to the subject is ‘why is psychopathy so little understoood by society in general when it is so pertinent in gaining the root of so many of our social problems?’ and he offers a few links on his ‘side bar’ (no, not in a court, but on the YouTube window for his video.

“Fore-warned is Fore-armed” he adds to his link to ‘Without Conscience’. And he refers us to an article by SOTT Focus writer, Silvia Cattori “The Trick of the Psychpath’s Trade: Make Us Believe that Evil Comes from Others”

For a child like Caylee to have a voice means more than a verdict at trial, it means taking the responsibility to understand, and then knowing how to take action, how to protect the next Caylee.

Link to Ms Cattori’s article: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/148141-The-Trick-of-the-Psychopath-s-Trade-Make-Us-Believe-that-Evil-Comes-from-Others

Scrolling down to SC’s interview question which deals with the portrait of a psychopath there are a few more answers to help us:

Quoting two paragraphs from the article:

“SC: How can we distinguish between psychopaths and healthy people? Can you give us the portrait of a true psychopath? Which of their faculties have problems?

Laura: The simplest, clearest and truest portrait of the psychopath is given in the titles of three seminal works on the subject: Without Conscience by Robert Hare, The Mask of Sanity by Hervey Cleckley, and Snakes in Suits by Hare and Paul Babiak. A psychopath is exactly that: conscienceless. The most important thing to remember is that this is hidden from view behind a mask of normality that is often so convincing that even experts are deceived and, as a result, they become the Snakes in Suits that control our world. That’s the short answer.”

    and:

“There are a number of traits that we find in psychopaths: An obvious trait is the complete lack of conscience. They lack any sense of remorse or empathy with others. They can be extremely charming and are experts at using talk to charm and hypnotize their prey. They are also irresponsible. Nothing is ever their fault; someone else or the world at large is always to blame for all of their ‘problems’ or their mistakes. Martha Stout, in her book The Sociopath Next Door, identifies what she calls the pity ploy. Psychopaths use pity to manipulate. They convince you to give them one more chance, and to not tell anyone about what they have done. So another trait – and a very important one – is their ability to control the flow of information. ”

Pity Ploy?? Where have we seen that before in this case??
(paraphrasing in no particular order– as memory allows)

” I’m sick… I have the flu… going to the Dr. ‘stupid flu’… and I have a bruised rib… my dad had a mini-stroke and he gave us a huge scare… my mom’s crazy… I have to work… I’m tired… I feel like I’m having a breakdown… have to take care of the little snot-nose… I have boyfriend problems… love hurts… my car ran out of gas two Friday’s in a row… I got two flat tires…tow company doesn’t take credit cards, I need cash…I’m afraid to sit in front of my bedroom window…the police are trying to trick me into a confession for something I wouldn’t do, didn’t do…my brother tried to do things to me…my baby’s father died…I have to take care of the kid…I had a miscarriage…my car died again…I have nothing left, my car was my whole world…everything has been taken from me…no one can see my side of things…no one lets me speak…”

And back to Ms. Cattori’s article: Quote:

“They are also incapable of deep emotions. In fact, when Hare, a Canadian psychologist who spent his career studying psychopathy, did brain scans on psychopaths while showing them two sets of words, one set of neutral words with no emotional associations and a second set with emotionally charged words, while different areas of the brain lit up in the non-psychopathic control group, in the psychopaths, both sets were processed in the same area of the brain, the area that deals with language. They did not have an immediate emotional reaction.”

Can we see the ‘cutting edge’ arguments from Baez et al on this concept?? Casey is ‘innocent’ because of a ‘disability’ or abnormality perhaps???

I think the idea of Casey getting out scares the heck out of us on one level apart from whatever ‘justice’ is served. Because as we learn more about the psychopath (and I’m using this term vs sociopath as Cindy has stated Casey ‘is’), we hear things like ‘treatments are not successful’ and ‘treatments actually educate the psychopath to become better at what they do’. That is frightening because if we can’t detect them now, what chance to we, and the Caylee’s of the world have, if we ‘educate’ them in the ‘system’?

And one more paragraph quote from Ms. Cattori’s article for a reason– that is ‘Cindy’ in particular– do we have a clue now to the basis of her belief in Casey??

    Quote:
“Another trait of the psychopath is what Łobaczewski calls their “special psychological knowledge” of normal people. They have studied us. They know us better than we know ourselves. They are experts in knowing how to push our buttons, to use our emotions against us. But beyond that, they even seem to have some sort of hypnotic power over us. When we begin to get caught up in the web of the psychopath, our ability to think deteriorates, gets muddied. They seem to cast some sort of spell over us. It is only later when we are no longer in their presence, out of their spell, that the clarity of thought returns and we find ourselves wondering how it was that we were unable to respond or counter what they were doing. ”

I’d like to add another source which is found in Wiki under Dr. Robert Hare and it is the link to his evaluation criteria for psychopaths as he distinguishes between this ‘category’ and other ‘anti-social disorders’. And then recall what we have been told about Casey, apparently from Cindy herself, medical professional. ‘She is a sociopath’.

Some people say sociopath and psychopath are basically interchangeable definitions (again, I’ve got limited reading on this so NO EXPERT– just positing something to think about). From a defense point of view, let’s say worse comes to worse– would you rather your beautiful (ahem…), petite, young loving mother be called a ‘sociopath’ or is it just the same thing to call her a ‘psychopath’? (besides the concept of psycho vs socio– very different images come to mind).

But I wonder if there is another reason that Cindy offered ‘she’s a sociopath/she’s a pathological liar’ and George beared his sole to LE with ‘I got scammed on an email deal’. Those might have been clues to the ‘family deep dark secrets’ not really revealed until the child was reported missing, so why open up about them?

Well, they probably knew well that this was going to come out– better bring it out so you can control the information, the words ‘sociopath/pathological liar’. You hide the criminal activities, the past behavioural issues, deny the stealing, refuse to allow LE access to credit card statements.

I think there is a clue in the Wiki article that discusses suicidal tendencies of those who are psychopaths, vs those who are not but fit ASDs. It’s a technicality to laypeople, but maybe there’s a good reason that Cindy brings up ‘I was suicidal too (pity ploy aside) back in…’ whenever, as she went on national TV with George. And of course, George made headlines too, with a big scare, police search, media attention to his apparent suicide attempt, out of which he could walk to the police car as we saw on video. (not diminishing the stress or pressures or depression or whatever here… but it was called ‘suicide’ attempt)

Now we have documentation that Casey’s parents both have thought about suicide and the jury pool knows this. Dr. Hare suggests that psychopaths do not tend to kill themselves, whereas, those who are only Anti-Social disorders, do have a tendency to commit suicide.

‘Casey has anti-social disorder, that doesn’t make her a psychopath’. Will we hear more about ‘suicide’ and Casey’s emotional weaknesses that point to ASD vs psychopath by Dr. Hare’s definitions? (wouldn’t be surprised….) Mitigation….

oh re debbie bennett and inconsistencies,i was not suggesting that her statements are inconsistent in themselves, but that they point out inconsistencies, which shows imo that cindy was spindying at work, and in my own opinion,i think she was gearing it for the bombshell,CAYLEE HAS BEEN KIDNAPPED.db’s interview took place nov.24th she’s had plenty of time to think and has heard news, and has surely wondered and pondered as has everyone, true you could the time has soften the edge of memory, but she is not one (as others)who stutters, stammers,or says i dont really remember,or i dont recall. OK so first off she describes casey’s pregancy, cindy had been sayingat work that casey was having female problems, and she was going to the doctor, then a month or so later casey comes in ,and it is very obvious she is pregnant, two days later cindy announces casey is pregnant, and it is told that cindy learn at the visit two days prior ,that is when casey told her,yet debbies says had she herself seen casey in the time in between she could told her what the females problem was:preggers.NOW what is wrong with cindy?why is she hiding casey’s pregnancy,it is absolutely abnormal, sure parents could be embarrassed, but you deal,i mean the embarassment is going to come sooner or later, and according to george in his interview with scott bolin ,page 15 george says casey tried to conceal the the pregn, for a month or two, until she started showing, from the time we found out we started going to doctor,to the sonnograms, were told jesse is the father, MONTHS!!!! GO BY we never meet him, til the birth at hospital.ok bullseye they knew casey was preg. when she started to show, debbie says cindy was saying female problems, and she didnt know til,6-8 before, why is cindy bs’ing at work? and at the wedding, with family, cindy claimed it was casey denying it, to rick et al,seems to me cindy was denying it to others, and making up lying false excuses, female problems, sheesh,oh more…

    JWG,

If you please, where are the phone records for George and Cindy that were released in April? I’ve gone though WS public archives for the dates April1 through May 1, and I had already downloaded all the released discovery posted on the “daily update” threads.

I have Anthony landline records for June 15 through July 4 (looks like a photocopy of the monthly billing statement that was mailed to the house). I

I have George and Cindy’s cell records for March and part of April.

I have Cindy’s cell download of August 4 showing a few August 2 and 3 SMS.

I have Casey’s AT&T records for June 1 through July 17, plus records (including SMS from July 12 to whenever the phone service was cut off (July 17 or 22 or whatever it was).

I can’t find anything in my downloaded discovery or on Docstoc for the cell records you referenced in the timeline for July 15 (showing George’s call to Cindy around 12:45pm).

Could you please tell me where those records are? I wouldn’t ask except that I have spent hours looking for them and don’t know where they are.

    ***

    As for June 16,

I did not realize 407-267-9800 is a number used by George (I assume it was his Security Forces work number because Google’s coming up with nothing). Is that a work number that George exclusively used (such as a cell phone provided to him by Security Forces)?

If George called the Anthony house on June 16 at 15:03:15, he left a 17-second voicemail using the 407-267-9800 phone to make the call.

Then 34 seconds later, he would have picked up his personal cell phone (407-403-3564) to call Casey’s cell at 15:04:06 to say something that only took 26 seconds.

It strikes me as very screwy that he would use two different phones to make two calls only a half-a-minute apart.

I would love to have his cell records to see if he called anyone else around that time and what phones he used.

If JWG does not see this, give me a day or 2, I have them, but I switched systems and it is off line in back up, but I have it

  20. Kleat says:

j.g., one thought as I viewed MarinadeDave’s little video, which was quite illustrative, was if the lot has been sold to someone with defense ‘interests’, you can bet the jury will never have the opportunity to see the thick kudzu and standing water a year from now, nor visit during storm season to see what happens to waterlevels in September, October, and why no ‘searches’ were done and why the body was not found.

The defense will likely try to argue the body was not there in mid-November and was only put there when they heard Casey talk on the TV. Proven by Casey’s PI of course because one kudzu covered tree looks like the next.

Today while making lunch, I turned the tv on for some reason and lo and behold, Dora The Explorer was on. I have never seen Dora before so I left it on, listening to it from the other room. (it was not the nanny afterall, who taught Caylee Spanish, it was Dora and friends!) :) And Dora has a little backpack, that has all wonderous and magical things inside, just like Caylee did.

Caylee should be in her own safe and secure home right now, trekking along with Dora and her friends on their adventures, opening presents on her very own and chatting up a storm.

  23. Maura says:

    Riddle –

If you see this comment – this is where I got the $35 for the certified letter. It was in Nicole Lett’s interview (the office clerk at Johnson’s Wrecker).

NL: Uhm, when the husband came up originally and I told them the amount he was like, “Okay, that’s fine. Let me, I don’t have cash on me.” So then he had to leave. When the wife came back up, she didn’t really gripe about the, about the fee. She more griped about the admin. fee because she was having to pay thirty-five dollars for the certified letter. So it goes back to that admin. letter that so, it gets filled, uhm, mailed out.

  24. Maura says:

    Blink,

I carefully went through the interview transcripts of Simon Burch and Nicole Lett of Johnson’s Wrecker, and I can’t see where George ever said they had already found Casey before they retrieved the car. These are all the relevant passages from both interviews:

Simon Burch’s July 24 OCSO interview:

SB: “Whilst we were going out to the car uhm, he was conversing with me and saying, “Hey, I’m sorry,” blah, blah, blah. “You know I, I’m sorry. I apologize. We’ll probably get divorced over this.” The daughter is telling us crap, a bunch of lies. And I really didn’t pay a great deal of attention to it.” (Page 6)

SB: “I just, I just need to see my granddaughter. You know my grand, you know she won’t let us to see our granddaughter,” blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, and this, that and the other thing. And again, I said, “I’m sorry for your situation sir. You know I’m sorry your car got impounded but this is what it is,” you know, and, and. An then when he opened the car door and that stench come out, by, like my heart dropped because he was, all of a sudden he was, he’d been telling me about his granddaughter missing.” (Page 7)

SB: “So anyway, we, he, we, I took him back to his car, walked him back there, and again, he was still talking about his daughter telling lies and blah, blah, blah, and I kept sympathizing with him. And then he got his gas can and we walked back to the car a second time. And it was a small, round, very battered gas can. An old, metal one.” (Page 11)

SB: “Uhm, I do remember saying to uh, uhm, one of my employees when I came back (unintelligible) girl I said, “You know he was telling me on the Mr., the, the guy was telling on the way over there about his granddaughter missing and I opened the car door and there was a stench.” And I said, and I said, “And it’s just like a flash went through my mind and I went oh, my God, you know, she’s in the trunk kind of thing.”” (Page 15)

SB: “But it didn’t, I, I really genuinely, it was, it was just like one of those things, it’s a natural reaction. You got to think now, you know, if someone says well my granddaughter’s missing and then you open the car up and it smells really bad, you know. But I didn’t, uh, they left and I didn’t think anymore of it. I picked the garbage up and threw it in the dumpster. I didn’t think anymore of it.” (Page 16)

“SB: I didn’t know. I, right, I didn’t know at the time but my uhm, (sighs), my driver uh, that went to pick it up called me and said, “Hey that car that we released today uhm, that, that you were telling Nicole about with the smell in it, uhm, was that a white Pontiac?” And I said, “Yeah (affirmative), why?” And he said, “Well I’m picking it up right now.” (Sound of cellular phone beeping.) Excuse me a second.

    GW: Uh-hum (affirmative).

SB: (Speaking into cellular phone to an unknown person.) Standby. Uhm, let me call you back in a minute. Let me. (Resumes speaking with Detective White.) Uhm, and then I said, “Why?” And he said, “Well I’m picking it up and taking it to uh, the Crime Lab.” And I went, “Oh, that’s kind of weird.”

GW: So what do you start thinking?

SB: Nothing at that point still.

GW: Just that it was just kind of weird?

SB: Uh, it didn’t, nothing at that point.Yeah (affirmative), I thought it was weird. Uhm, but I, I’m like, you know, (unintelligible), I’m like, “Well that’s weird.” Because they were talking the whole time that their granddaughter was missing, or they haven’t seen her. Sure there’s a lot people that say they’re missing. You know I mean missing means maybe that the, maybe, maybe you pissed your kid off and she doesn’t want you to see the, you know what I’m saying?”

    GW: Right.

SB: It wasn’t until the morning, the following morning when I got up and uh, I was, I got up at six-ish and put, and turned the news on and there it is all over the news. And there’s the Anthony’s that came to pick up the car, on the couch being interviewed.

    GW: Uh-hum (affirmative).

SB: I’m like, crap. Oh, crap.

    GW: Yeah (affirmative).

SB: Garbage bag. Dumpster. Smelling car. And now all of a sudden everything just goes in my brain like oh, my God what’s, you know? (Pages 16-17)

SB: Oh, I wanted to find the bag.

    GW: Right.

SB: Because I think that could have been important. So at that point now I’m thinking well this is important now. You know this is obviously the, the, it was obviously more than just my daughter’s not showing me, not bringing my granddaughter around. (Page 19)

SB: “Not even with a smell in it, uh, just observing it in the yard. It was literally about five seconds when he opened the car door up after he’d been telling that his daughter was lying and his granddaughter was missing and blah, blah, blah, and her car seat was in the car, and he opened the door when that was there I went, “Oh, shit.”” (Page 22)

SB: “You know not only has she [Cindy] got to go through all this crap, she said something about uh, she said something about Jacksonville. I remember one con…one thing she said was, “We thought the car was in Jacksonville,” or something like that. I wouldn’t swear to that. I wouldn’t, but it was, she said something to that effect that either they were in Jacksonville or they thought the car was in Jacksonville or something on those lines. Again, I don’t pay a lot of attention to it. We hear it day in/day out.” (Page 26)

SB: But he was, he was, he was charming. He was very apologetic. He was very upset. You know you could tell in his demeanor that he was upset…

    GW: Uh-hum (affirmative).

SB: …uhm, that his daughter had been lying to him and blah, blah, blah and, and uh, you could tell they’d been rowing. Mr. and Mrs. Anthony they’ve been rowing, bickering, whatever. You could just tell. You, you, but uh, again, their car got impounded and they uh, you know they, they’ve got a two, three hundred dollar bill, whatever it is to pay and I’d have been pissed off too, you know, so. (Pages 26 and 27)

Nicole Lett’s July 24 OCSO interview:

NL: He, well he pretty much gave me the, the type of vehicle it was and asked about where we found the vehicle at. And we told, we told him where we found it. And then in return he said that he hasn’t, he thought the car was up in Jacksonville, Gainesville, somewhere up north. I don’t remember exactly where, but somewhere up there, so. (Page 3

NL: Uhm, so I kind of explained to her how we work the certified letter that goes out. Because she thought the vehicle was up north, well upper Panhandle of Florida. (Page 5)

JW: Okay. Okay. How would you say that the uhm, the man and woman acted when they got the car?

NL: They acted pretty much like anybody who comes out and picks up the car. The only difference was they were kind of, I think more like concerned of why their vehicle was down here….

    JW: Uh-hum (affirmative).

NL: …and not where their daughter told them that the vehicle was.

    JW: Okay.

NL: Or where they assumed the vehicle was pretty much. (Page 9)

NL: I personally think they acted, they were kind of upset about the lien letter that we send out. And they kind of, kind of loud with that. Not, a normal voice, but a little bit higher. But for the most part they were like I think more grateful that the vehicle was here and they got the vehicle back.

    JW: Uh-hum (affirmative).

NL: But then they were more con…they acted more concerned of why the vehicle was here. Like…

    JW: Okay.

    NL: …worried I would say. (Page 10)

NL: The only information I know is that they kept on saying they haven’t seen their daughter in about a month. And the fact that when I know that I didn’t see it except for Simon coming back up and mentioning that he, when he opened the door flies came flying out and there was a bag of trash in the trunk, which in return he threw away into the dumpster. (Page 13)

NL: But they did say that they haven’t seen their granddaughter in a month and they thought the car was up north, or the Panhandle of Florida, or whatever you call it. (Page 13)

As you know, there are two Debbie’s at Gentiva. I found Debbie Bennett (Cindy’s peer) to have excellent recall considering she was getting everything second hand and was trying to remember it all months later.

Debbie Polisano (Cindy’s supervisor) seemed quite confused about the dates, but we didn’t get her interview transcript; we only got Yuri Melich’s summary of what she said. Maybe she’s clearer in the interview than in the summary. And it’s possible that Cindy didn’t confide in her as much as she did Debbie Bennett.

That isn’t Shirley Plesea’s number, it’s Cindy’s cell phone number.

  27. Kleat says:

lily– quick comment– just ‘speculating’ as there were past rumours of the property being purchased, not sure if that’s true or not, or what ended up happening. “IF” someone had purchased the land, and IF in the future, the jurors in a trial wish to visit the site, nothing stopping a land owner from clearing trees– it would be a good defense move if to their advantage to change the scene, drain some swamp, make it look dry and easy to access, (not saying it will be so…)

  28. Maura says:

I agree that the PI search for a body was for show, but Dr. Michael Baden said the tool he had is a professional forensic tool for locating buried bodies.

  29. Kleat says:

Anyone add info to these INCOMING calls, presumably to Amy’s cell phone (last doc dump):

All on July 5, 2008, Saturday evening.
    8:23 PM “Bring casey back”
    8:47 PM “I want 2 talk 2 casey”
9:22 PM “Hey cll me when u get a sec”

  30. Kleat says:

really Maura? Interesting, I wonder where he got that, or would that be in a PI’s kit bag? Is this something that TES or LE searchers would normally prod around with like this, seemingly without a clear plan of attack?

  31. Kleat says:

silverspnr– there IS INDEEDY a product that would work for your notemaking IN the shower, in the rain, drizzle, fog, or hurricane!! Well, maybe NOT the latter.

It is not a ‘legal pad’ but it is YELLOW! A soft-cover, all weather pocket waterproof writing paper notebook designed for surveyors field notes. Pencil is the choice of tool, IIRC. You could hang it ’round your neck or off the showerhead, like a ‘soap-on-a-rope’ !

  32. Kleat says:

BTW, Maura– your memory is great– I now rmr ‘something’ about that only since you mention it –thx!!:)

  33. lily says:

Oh Kleat – thank you. Very interesting – the possibility of changing the scene enough to skew the evidence. The possibilities are endless.

  34. boo says:

#276 maura. Try this link george is approaching the car at the tow lot. http://transcripts.cnn.com/TRANSCRIPTS/0811/07/ng.01.html. Heers my point, why is george concerned about caylee/casey being in the trunk of that car if he has not been told or has been aware that caylee is missing? with casey coming in and out stealing gas and food, not to mention the 6/24 (or was it) 6/27 gas can confrontation, leaving comments on her my space page telling mom everyday that caylee is fine plus all those sms and well proving to them that she herself is fine? Why is geo suddenly worried about casey/caylee in that trunk?

  35. Felix says:

#251 BrendaT, #278 Maura: Taking into consideration both Dr. Lee and Dr. Baden’s performances at the first Phil Spector trial, I have a rather jaundiced view of their credibility.

The prosecution’s allegations that Dr. Lee tampered with evidence at the crime scene were so damaging that the defense never called Dr. Lee to testify at trial.

Dr. Baden, in his infamous ‘ah ha’ moment, proved that he would say anything in service to those who pay him. And I mean anything.

  36. boo says:

So as I have posted before, geo gets the car, the jig is up and cindy has no choice but to call 911. Result, casey gets arrested on a “whim” today. Clueless.

  37. Kleat says:

lily, not really skewing evidence, only if the jurors felt they wanted to see the scene themselves, if the lot became a parking lot, that couldn’t happen. Nothing to hold the ‘crime scene’ in perpetuity anyway.

  38. boo says:

Also interesting to note the simon birch interview seems to entail details of a problem between geo and cindy and the bitching geo is doing about HIS SPOUSE

  39. BrendaT says:

285 Felix – just the way I was recalling things myself. Please a brief explanation re this super tool of Dr. MB. It was not applied in the Anthony case surely? Just a tool he had and used elsewhere that would have been smarter than what they did? Good lord.

  40. Kleat says:

Silverspnr, and thanks back at you for your explanations and NL refresher. And I am sure you did not miss the ultimate ‘vile’ act as Blink posted Cindy’s voicemail to Tim Miller.(if you missed it– direct link: http://blinkoncrime.com/2009/06/16/cayleecasey-anthony-case-exclusive-cindy-anthonys-scathing-message-to-tim-miller/#more-1872)

The following link is just for Silver as she needs some special waterproof writing notebooks for this casework!! ;) Here you go– enjoy! http://www.riteintherain.com/Categories.aspx?Category=79bdb01f-3b62-4576-ad3d-ecfbd8e597d7

    #279 – Kleat

I’m not sure but I think those texts are from William W. He had met KC at the 4th of July party and was quite smitten.

  42. silverspnr says:

    Kleat!
Excellent post on the psychopath/sociopath topic. Your paragraph of past statements that were clearly made to elicit sympathy/blame “other(s)” was dead on (and far more illuminating than my earlier attempt to describe the Anthony clan).

    LOL-Soap-on-a-rope!! (don’t think I won’t consider doing this!!)

As to #279- wasn’t that Will Waters texting Amy? Hadn’t he just met (and been “charmed” by the “SNAKE) on July 4th?

    Felix-#285–
As the kids say (to voice complete agreement), “WORD!”

  43. kari says:

This was discovered yesterday by a blogger names Tulessa and I was wondering what you all thought here. I think Tulessa picked up on something we all missed.

Within these pages, investigators note that scratches appeared on the Casey’s car trunk—the trunk that smelled foul and had a suspicious stain that was DNA tested. Furthermore, the car contained a washed flatware knife, a Dora the Explorer backpack, a child’s toothbrush, a dark colored belt, and a black leather bag

We were all wondering if you knew if the scratches were on the inside of the trunk?

I also asked about the knives awhile ago. I have a fw questions about them- where did they come from? What were they used for? Are they both the same kniife? One had sticky residue on it- duct tape?
    Forensic report Dec. 16
P.42 Art #1, Item, #H-51975 (sealed box with black plastic bag with yellow pull handles with the body) stainless steel knife
P.2 Art #8, Item # H-51975 dinner knife found in the car

I did not miss the scratches on the trunk, I posted about them elsewhere wayyyy early. I personally believe she backed up close to something, attempted to open the trunk, and the trunk hit the object. The scratches are on the exterior.

Some people here wondering wether or not George had spoke to Lee before 8:05 the evening of the July 15, 2008.

5th row down, George mentioned that he breifly told Lee about Casey AGAIN. Below is a portion of George’s statement to LE.
    *********************************************************

On July 15, 2008 at approximately 2005PM my spouse (Cindy) called my cell phone. I immediately attempted to return her call, and only got her voice mail. I called our land line #, and also got a voice mail. I immediately then called my son, Lee told him I would appreciate him checking on his mom. Told him briefly about Casey again, and Mom & I are upset. At 2035PM, I finally got a hold of my spouse by cell, and she asked when I would be home. I told her I would be home about 10-10:30 P.M.

I am catching up on reading since Saturday. So, I am sure you all have figured this out by now.

  45. boz says:

George and Cindy should not be allowed to be around ANY children until this case has been resolved. It WILL be proven they’re a danger to any child they come in contact with. I wish I had the power to stop them from visiting children in hospitals. Any young person who comes in contact with them is in danger of being damaged (emotionally).

  46. kari says:

Thank you Blink for anwering my question- sorry I never noticed the info about the scatches. This is a great site to find any info you wanted to know about this case and I think i is incedible that you can ask questions and get answers from smart people. Thank you everyone and Blink!!

  47. suz says:

Gawd, I think casey is too unaccomplished to even be a psychopath. I am going to stick with sociopath because she was kind of a failure at lying. Her friends caught on rather quickly, which I guess is why she would go through different groups of friends, and back and forth to her standby friends. I think what really helped her out is that she was little and cute and lit up a room with her smile, as George described it. I really think a fat ugly casey wouldn’t get away with as much, and friends who caught on would dump her much faster.

  48. chica says:

what get’s me is: after reading that they went to church and got re-baptized! On sunday! I was like huh! I mean that’s all fine and dandy but how can you do such a spiritual ritual and still lie and decieve and scam money from the public! Baez stated that sunday was difficult for his client being it was caylees 4th birthday. geez we all know she doesnt care. he is a little to late with trying to portray her as a poor grieving mother.
is this all for show and pity?

    and thanks to
blink, maura, kleat ,silver, boo and many of you others theres way to many to name all!! you are all great people! and You all!! do such a wonderful job of getting the facts! I mainly lurk due in part that I am not as skilled as you all but truly enjoy reading here.
