Casey/Caylee Anthony Case: Prosecutors Release Anthony Family Depositions

Orlando, FL– In the latest bombshell in the case against Casey Anthony, late this afternoon prosecutors released the depositions of Anthony family members George, Cindy and Lee.

AnthonysCourt51909

In a highly unusual move, on the eve of what is arguably one of the most anticipated motion hearings to date, we will get a glimpse of exactly what the Anthony’s will be testifying to in the murder trial.

 George Interview Here

Lee Interview Here

Cindy Interview Part I Here

Cindy Interview Part II Here

Prosecutors were previously granted a motion to receive the grand jury testimony of George Anthony, as there were discrepencies between the testimony he gave in that proceeding, and his deposition.

Additionally, this Saturday October 17, CBS show 48 Hours Mystery is airing what appears to be the Anthony’s defending their daughter, and her defense team touting the latest “stranger danger” theory.

Blinkoncrime.com will be posting the transcripts as soon as they become available.

“There were so many scenario’s, so many things that we were thinking about, specific people we feel that might be involved with this. There’s a lot of things we’ve hashed over, we still do to this day.”

    Question: page 266
“as far as you know, These scenario’s were just stuff that you were making — speculating about? Making up?

Answer from GEO: “That’s –Okay. I guess I’ll say the word, Making up -speculating, Yeah. There were some speculations, some scenarios, stuff we were trying to figure out and what maybe possibly could have happened and –”

Question: “I don’t mean made up for the purpose of deceiving anyone. I mean–”

Answer by GEO: “Just made up because–”

    “JUST MADE UP”…..finally some truth

What is PS elements. Caylee is not in a car seat you would see the shoulder strap on the right. Shoulder straps are quite big. Amy did send her camera to the house. No, couldn’t have come from Amy’s camera. Cindy sent that back right?

  4. SuzeeB says:

    Kleat,

As a matter of fact, why would Cindy send that camera back to Amy. I assume she just didn’t accept the package and it was returned to sender. But Cindy must have seen the return address on it and knew who Amy was because she said Casey spoke of Amy. So why not accept the package and question Casey about it or give it to Casey and have her give it to Amy. Hmmmm? I have to go back over that. I wonder if UPS guy left package at front door and it wasn’t discovered for a while. Out of all the pictures taken of Caylee, no one recconized this one. Very Strange.

  5. SuzeeB says:

I guess if the A’s could take a cruise on a “tight budget” then it would not be a mystery as to why they would put in a patio using 27 bags of cement in July, probably one of the hottest months of the year in Orlando. I would guess their budget was even tighter in 08. “Planning on having guests, maybe” Hmmmmm

Kleat…please explain to me this gas can story. I only know the story about Casey coming home and wanting to get back to “work” in a hurry. She walked to the back of the car, opened the trunk and basically threw the cans at GA and said, heres your f…in gas cans…This isn’t the stroy anymore. Whats with the green truck…now I am totally confused AGAIN!

  7. ChicagoJudy says:

My newest favorite Cindy-ism (page 101 of her depo):
    Q. Do you believe now, a year later, that Casey worked at any time during 2007 or 2008?
    A. I — you know,I never saw proof that she didn’t. It was never presented to me. I never looked at any discovery.

In just 3 short sentences, she told 3 “half-truths”. Here we are, a year later, and she “never looked at any discovery”???? I think her lying is getting worse — if that’s possible. And she does it with real conviction, actually thinking that people are believing her. What a wacko nut-job!

  8. Gavriella says:

Kleat, Gawd! If I could stomach the sight of her, I’d watch it again. These days, anything that has to do with video of Casey, I watch once and then resort to the audio. I just get sick to death of seeing her fuss with her hair, tug at her blouse, (and why do they, her blouses, always appear a bit tight, and why for god’s sake did they match!) posture as she does, etc., etc. And for Pete’s sake, what the heck is she writing/making note of? No one seems to pay much mind to it.

As for the cruise? The audacity of these people just blows me away! To think, they could have donated a good chunk of that $20000 to say, Tim Miller for services rendered. I’d have loved to be part of their homecoming! “Mr. & Mrs. Anthony, isn’t it true that you told the prosection that you were paid but a measely few thousand dollars for your appearance on 48 Hours?” “And isn’t true, Mr. Anthony, that you can’t find jobs because you aren’t looking for jobs?”

Forget all this BS about how they can’t find jobs! They are no doubt making more money now than they have ever dreamed of, which reminds me, you don’t suppose they might be, if indirectly, slipping Wray a few bucks here and there do you? How much did Baez, say, pay for the alleged photographs she took of the the alleged scene, which was in direct violation of the terms and conditions of searching with Equusearch?

Speaking of which, and forgive me again for both venting and rambling, but, I’m madder than heck, having only recently learned that a former co-worker, whom I so well respected once, but no longer, attempted to pass a piece of information (article of clothing) off to (Blink!) David Lohr, and for what good purpose did he not inform his superior on scene, who was Tim Miller, of this article of clothing rather than to have attempted to first bring it to media attention? Couldn’t have been for monetary or political gain now could it? I offer up my most humble and sincere apologies for the actions of this person and strongly hope that he was severely reprimanded, for his own part in what, tampering with what may well have been evidence? I’m spitting mad! I am so sorry, Mr. Miller, and assure you that in spite of all of his credentials, he is not representative of the rescue personel who risk life and limb for the well being of others quite simply because they care! And sorry, Kleat. I just had to get that off my chest.

  9. Gavriella says:

Kleat, don’t you suppose they have long since scrambled to remove all photos that might depict Caylee wearing the shirt with the full wording appearing? I KNOW I saw such a photograph once, but can’t seem to find it anywhere, now.

  10. westsidehudson says:

    Kleat

First, it is funny that you are disagreeing with yourself in posts now, lol.

Second, I believe that part of the reason why Caylee looks ‘fuller’ in this photo is distortion from a wide angle lens, probably shot horizontally, at close range, but then cropped down vertically. (my guess). I believe there was an artificial light source, likely flash, not sure about video.
I haven’t taken the time to manipulate the photo in any manner, so I don’t see what others are seeing (in terms of clues being in the car or trunk). What may be important is the date stamp, or upload stamp, followed by the deletion. Time will tell.

  11. westsidehudson says:

    ANTHONY SUSPECTS:

Thinking back to several things that I read earlier and later in the day, yesterday, one thing stands out for me, and that is I believe that the Anthony “suspects” did not really originate from Casey.

The state begins to unravel the discussion/notion about the family ever being in danger, as a statement ever having been made by Casey. It looks like Cindy may have “suggested” this in a scenario during one of the jail videotapes. (Paraphrase, “do you think we are in danger? don’t worry about us dear”). All along before this, Casey describes Zanny as someone who loves Caylee, and that she is safe with her. I believe she even states she doesn’t know why it all went down.

Casey gave Lee a number of people that “she trusted” and that “she didn’t trust”.
Lee takes this and runs with it. Casey probably didn’t trust Jesse, because he knew her better than a lot of her newer friends, there was a history(my opinion). Lee develops this into Jesse as a suspect. Remember, when Lee had very little opportunity to talk to Casey alone while out from jail and without Tracy and the Anthonys around, HE ASKED HER POINT BLANK: “IS JESSE GRUND ZANNY? “AND SHE LAUGHS AND TELLS HIM “NO”, as if it is a ridiculous thought. But then, Lee doesn’t believe her. Casey already cleared Jesse. But Lee thinks Jesse is not credible because ostensibly he lied about being at a pool party where he met Tony.
Lee didn’t believe Casey when she told two versions , but then said, I guess it’s something in between both. He is interpreting “riddles’ as a means to an end, finding Casey not culpable. I can’t believe that he doesn’t look back on statements with at least some level of embarrassment.

What the state also gets from Lee Anthony is that NONE of his investigations ever included the possibility of Casey as suspect. So his hypothesis, or starting point was that she wasn’t involved, so he would discount anything that looked to be going in that direction. NO POLICE EVIDENCE would ever be deemed without suspicion, or with any credibility, because it was not the direction that the family was willing or would ever be willing to confirm and agree with.

Regardless of how absurd the theories come off, they will talk in rambling ways until they arrive at a point where they believe it supports their cause. Lee even agrees with this to some degree, saying (paraphrase) that he is just tossing theories out in testimony and that really none of it can be corroborated or proven.

  16. Gavriella says:

Just a couple of things, looking at the photo enlarged a bit, didn’t George say he say a pile of clothing in the trunk of Casey’s car when the gas cans were retrieved? Couldn’t the background images in the photo be items of clothing, and Kleat, what if the car doors were open, and the light from inside the car was shining into the trunk? It also appears as though she has a scratch/gouge on her face, just beneath the wisp of hair. Do you have a clearer image of that? Is the triangular shape alleged to be the hair clip? She doesn’t appear to be sitting in or near a carseat. I don’t know that this shirt is too small. She has room in the arms and about the neck, but if you can, zoom in on her fingers. There were scratches, weren’t there, on the inside trunk lid? Does she have a scratches or some other marks on her index finger? Can you zoom in on her nose? Does it appear soiled or is that just shadowing? Also, the tan colored item beneath her, alongside her waistline, could that be a stuffed animal? Is there a proper (for lack of a better word)fingernail on her thumb, as pictured? And am I the only one who seems to see that she is, all in all, discolored about her forehead, nose, mouth, and why is the left cheek red and or rashy appearing? I’m not too concerned with the size of the shirt. For all we know, this could have been a favorite of Casey’s, for the statement it made, and had one gotten too small, she might have replaced it. I’ll keep looking, and please forgive me if I see too much into it, it’s what I was trained to do in emergency patient assessment.

  18. BrowncoatWhit says:

A couple of earlier comments have been made about how George & Cindy must be “eaten up alive” by feelings of guilt over their failure as parents to Casey having led to Caylee’s death. Not happening! For George or Cindy to be feeling any guilt would require them to actually accept an ounce of personal responsibility… and every single other action they take shows them to be teflon to that possibility. Just sayin’…

  19. Gavriella says:

Kleat, could that not be Caylee’s own arm, or part of it, extended above her, if she were laying down? And regarding the tape, we know that it was attached to hair that crossed her temple, and came into her face, right? The way the hair is here, would account for the location of the tape and the hair caught in the tape. And didn’t George say she was wearing a ponytail the last time he saw her? Back to the ponytail. Was there a hairband of some sort in the hair mass, even as there were possibly trunk fibers? So here I go again, back to wondering if Caylee didn’t die in the trunk, but that would be the night of the 15th. My apologies if I’m repeating informaton someone has already given, but I’m all caught up in this now.

    What happened with the evidence?

  22. Charlotte says:

Okay, now I am totally confused and need some SERIOUS help. Blink, are you saying that the gas can incident with George and Casey never happened because she did not have the gas cans in her trunk and that Lee was the one who had them? Why did he have them, and why make up that whole story about Casey having them in the trunk???????? Please help me understand this or I will not be able to work all day.

It is my opinion that George never saw Casey that day. There are 2 days George seemed fixated on from day one. Fixated as defined as “coached”. Imo, he had to see Casey and “view” the trunk to counter her comments to Amy about her dad must have hit something (start of the smell comment) on the 24th and of course the theft of the gas cans.

George never says a word on 7/24 interview w/OCSO about seeing Casey that day, this is mentioned during the FBI Interview on 7/30 for the first time. George also originally gives the date of 6/24 that Cindy went to Universal to pick up Caylee. I think they originally coordinates these dates around Jesse comments at the bond hearing where he emphatically states he heard Caylee in the background on 6/24, but later recants. This backfires for the A’s.

Who believes she is going to confront George in that house after breaking into the shed the day before, and now they are pretty much down to text messages only? He also says in the interview on 7/24 he did NOT see into her trunk that day.

Kleat, zoom in on the mouth, if you haven’t already and let’s see if we can locate what may be a missing tooth. Kick me if you must, but discolored tooth, markings on that side of her face — go ahead, kick me.

Your (excellent) point about the Anthony “suspects” is mirrored by the state’s question to Cindy as to whether or not she had ever had Dominic Casey investigate Casey’s employment history over the two years prior to Caylee’s disappearance. The answer was, predictably, “no”.

  26. kp-in says:

Oh my, I do see the image of Casey (sort of like a mirror affect) on the forehead of Caylee. It was easier for me to see when I darkened the picture. The article of clothing was the Disney dress. Some have suggested it was planted by a local S&R. It was big news at the time. I’ll send an email to David and see if he will come here and post the details.

Charlotte your not the only one…I have been reading this thread all day in between working and not working :-) I am at a total loss as well..please someone help us out! where’s the LINK BLINK?

  29. Gavriella says:

Blink, this is so distressing to me. It was the matter of the Disney dress size six, that was found and before being turned over to Tim Miller, David was notified. I commend David for notifying authorities/Tim Miller. David has so well proven himself to be most honorable. The “finder” indicated that he went to Lohr not wanting OCSO to take credit for the find, for this reason and that. Tim Miller would have, and did, turn the dress over to OCSO, or the Feds. I don’t recall which. I don’t want to name name’s because I still have to live in this town, and as I said, this one’s credentials are way up there. But if you back track to the matter of the Disney dress, you should be able to find more info on it.

    Gavi

Unfortunately, it is my belief that dress was indeed planted. David has shown great integrity in not just this case, but specifically the Corrie Anderson case. He and his wife devoted their personal time and resources when budgetary constraints did not allow TES to continue their committed search there. I know they are very grateful to him.

Sometimes in this efforts, people have their own agendas. For anyone to find anything and report it to a journalist first, should speak volumes as it is a breach of protocol for TES and I am sure any S&R team. Joy Wray, another example. Does anyone not think she showed up to TES activities as a volunteer and was honest about her intentions? Nope.
    B

  30. Gavriella says:

Blink, no, it wasn’t to you that the article was to be given. I’m not certain that it was going to be given to anyone. David was simply the first to be notified of the find, and thereafter notified Tim Miller, I believe. I have heard nothing about the dress having been planted, and would like to think that’s not a possibility.

A bit off topic for this thread, but it occurred to me just now that Casey had to have killed baby Caylee late 15th/early 16th June. Setting aside all evidence, including no Caylee seen with Casey & Tony L in the Blockbuster security video on the evening of 16th June, I don’t think Casey would have stayed away from home for more than a day or two. Maybe she’d teach Cindy a lesson, but she would come back home quickly, if for no other reason than she had no resources of her own. How long could she keep sponging off of others? More to the point, how long could she keep stealing from others? She’d run out of friends very quickly.

On another note, I will pull my eyeballs out & stick knitting needles in my ears if I hear one more “journalist” or anyone else in the media say that Casey did not report her daughter missing for 31 days. She NEVER reported her baby missing ~ her mother did. The distinction is huge, IMO.

  34. melissa says:

I see discolorations of blue. It could be the pic but is her shirt lightly tie dyed? If not it looks like she has light blue on thumb area, rt. mouth area and all over the shirt. The right hand maybe pushing up the trunk lid in a “peep eye” with Casey. This pic is way off kilter. Her eyes look a little trippy as in drugged. Someone tell us this is our imagination running away cause I am feeling that Casey was effing with her in a scary way. This is the heat of the summer why isn’t her skin moist with hair stuck to it. It would be sweltering in the trunk even at night. Maybe it was doused with chloroform and she was just checking in to see if she was passed out and suprise…she’s still awake. I don’t know but I gotta go to work and get my mind from wandering. Have a great day ya’ll!!!

OMG! OMG! OMG! Okay … I’m really trying not to get overly excited here because it’s not my 1st choice idea of a 1st-rate source either, but sometimes those stupid tabloids really do get the best photos and at times even the actual story the mainstream media doesn’t get. Remember the whole John Edwards story? The National Enquirer broke it first and it was actually true!

Anyway … I was doing some E-Baying this morning and for some reason typed in Caylee Anthony just to see what would come up. Mostly just covers of magazines did and look what I found!!!!! It appears to be the ENTIRE ACTUAL PHOTO (or at least one of them if there were in fact more than one taken) with Caylee (AND CASEY) in that now infamous T-Shirt!!! This issue was dated October 20, 2008 if I can make it out right on the cover … that was LAST year!

THE PICTURE: I copied the picture into my picasa program. At 350% enlargement the face int he right hand corner is very distinct. I thought it was Casey because the length of hair is the exact length, but this face though is wearing bangs. I googled Casey in the hoodie, length of hair matched but bangs were behind ears, this picture looks like bangs are even with brow line. So I googled Casey in the bank. This picture looks like the woman has very thick black eye makeup on, so does Casey in the bank photos.
The silver thing down to the right of Caylee looks like a buckle. AT 350% you can see a definite outline of a buckle with some sort of strap going throuh it.

    #564 (Steadychick and Blink),

    I wanted to add something.

On pg. 222 Cindy is asked if she had contact with Casey about the gas cans on the 24th.

    Cindy says yes…..

Then is asked if Casey admitted to taking them BEFORE her (Caysee’s) conversation with George on the 24th.

    Cindy says….”yes”

Really???? Then why does Caysee go thru all the trouble to “fake a surprise” w/George that the shed was broken into and can stollen??

Why fake a surprise when Caysee cleard it with her Mom just shortly before this conversation with her dad?????????

    Some one is lying.

(I am trying to make sense. I have a really bad headache. But, I really wanted to make a comment on #564.)

  41. justice23 says:

Please go to the link in #635 and view it. The ENTIRE photo of Caylee in her T-Shirt (WITH Casey) is there (but it’s from the Globe, dated Oct 20, 2008). I happened across it this morning while doing E-Bay and now I’m haunted by it. I’m taking the photo into Photoshop now to see what I can find with this one. Interesting tidbit though … someone else definitely took this photo … ????????????? If this was truly Caylee’s last moments, or even day, doesn’t that then mean someone else does in fact potentially know something? Someone else had to have seen her, been there that day at the very least. I have my theory on who, but I could be way off. Just a hunch though … based on the previous interviews done with LE, only one person had a truly emotional reaction to Caylee’s disappearance, hmmm …. Blink … I would LOVE your comments on this.

It honestly seems to me as if this photo was recent. Possibly one deleted off Casey’s My Space and computer I’m guessing and probably with good reason knowing what we know now. Probably by Lee it based on some of his actions the day he went for Casey’s things at Tony’s. Is this why LE gave him immunity? To testify against his sister with proof she’s the one that did it? OMG … my mind is running rampant right now.

Justice, can you move or duplicate this comment to the new article please?

    re: soulsister comment #409….

I too thought Cindy’s comment was very interesting. Not to mention VERY telling of what she thinks/thought/knows. That was a total slip of the tongue on her part. In fact, it was such a slip, she didn’t do her usual spinning immediately after. All the A’s, most especially Cindy and Casey will accidentally say something and immediately begin to try and “fix” their split second moment of truth. This time though, she didn’t realize it, or catch it, or even try to fix it. I assure you the State and a jury will catch it for SURE.

I’ve been reading these docs for 3 days now. Mostly all through the day, taking a break in the evening, and I’m still not all the way finished. However, I’ll say this, that out of the list I’ve made so far, and plan to post here when I’m done….that one slip of Cindy’s is VERY HIGH on my list of telling statements.

One more thing, then back to reading. Regarding the disney dress. I not only believe that dress was planted, but have been on a website, that also had a chat forum, in which the person that owns/runs that forum admitted to being the one that planted it there. He claimed he was instructed to do so by….none other than a psychic. I hesitate to give the names of either/all involved, as I’m not sure that would be proper, although I’m sure Blink already knows all about it. At least I’m assuming?? There was much talk about it at the time, so I’m assuming at some point it was also talked about in the media, though I don’t recall exactly where/when, or what stations may have aired the story….or dirty laundry would be more appropriate. It’s sick what people will do.

The reason I am so interested in this photograph is because I assumed it was what Baez was referring to in Cindy’s deposition. (Part 2, Page 504ish.) He was objecting to Cindy answering questions about some sealed evidence, specifically photographs.

Again I assumed Baez was referring to this (perhaps uncropped?) photograph.

But I am a skimmer so maybe I have it all wrong.

What else would he have been referring to?

Ms Lyon: “You know what’s going to happen is that this information will make its way into the public wheel some kind of way once the question is answered.”

Blink, you are driving me crazy! Actually it’s this case that is doing that, not you. I can’t stop thinking about the trunk, the gas cans, the truck, Lee’s possible involvement here, etc. It’s becoming more and more evident that mastermind Cindy has directed this and many more story lines in this case (“this family is united”), and George is a ready pawn willing to say anything if it will free Casey. Only problem is, he’s not such a good liar.

Can’t help but think there has to be something more to this than George confirming there was no body/no odor in the car on the day Casey supposedly returned the cans. I think he has been caught between a rock and a hard place in the questioning about the tape on the round can. He is so adamant that he did not/could not have put that “messy” tape on that can. He is so anal that I tend to believe him about this. If Lee had the cans, it’s quite possible that Lee put this tape on. But that still means the tape probably came from the A’s.

If Lee had something to do with the return of the cans, it’s interesting to me that the State did not try to pin him down about this. They only said enough that would let him know that they know.
I hope what I’m seeing is the State starting to move in and back each one of the A’s into a corner, discounting their stories and exposing their lies to the light of day.

Dee, here’s the link. Hope it’s helpful. The site expired on me a few times, so if you can save it if you want to study it.

#642 LMAO!! I was going to post the same, as to what she might be writing, but didn’t. Glad you did!

636: Now that’s some terrific sleuthing! I feel all better now that I know she wasn’t in the trunk. Whew!
