Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: New Discovery Released
Orlando, FL– The State Attorney’s Office is set to release 1000 additional pages of discovery this morning of previously unseen evidence in the case against Casey Anthony for the murder of her daughter, Caylee Marie.
Sources within the SA’s office speaking on the condition of anonymity to blinkoncrime.com say the new information is largely FBI reports.
The release comes on the heels of new motions filed by the defense this week.
Jose Baez and Andrea Lyon, defense counsel for Casey Anthony filed a motion alleging double jeopardy violation in the upcoming fraud case, a reply to the states motion to preclude death procedures and yet another motion to dismiss. A hearing date has not yet been set by Judge Strickland’s office.

Not a biased witness– she also made a little video of Caylee’s 4th Birthday party (with two little girls that look as possible candidates for the Nov. 16 2008 Mall photos). Wishes for Caylee’s 4th birthday party to be her best party ever because she is in heaven with angels.
I doubt that Baez is going to use JW for what she thinks, she is being used for. And there is a reason she wore that ‘stand out’ outfit and hairdo in court– early prep by the defense for this very day, like Bob Kealing’s roll that now repeats today with his exclusive footage? WESH is the new ABC.
And what ‘video’ did JW have? In her transcript, she only talks about ‘photos’, never a ‘video’. Someone supply that later to her?

Blink– I found the film by Rachel Lyon online– it’s a short documentary.
Andrea Lyon is one of the experts in the film. Now the purpose of this film was racism, but from this, comes the insight into the media and about perception in the public, can influence a jury. Take out the ‘black male’, the ‘gangster’ persona’ etc that sell the stereotype that ‘black or hispanic’, point of this film, and take Ms. Rachel Lyon’s statement that reveals her idea that this media imaging, can be used to influence the jury.
The defense seems to be ‘creating’ for their purposes, the equivalent ‘set of images/beliefs/statements’ to create a set of perceptions about the Casey Anthony case.
Blogs– Lyon talks about Blogs as a positive sign. The ‘net’ can be the pusher of the story (quote from film, Chas. Nesson).
Positive uses of blogging–
Maybe the story will be based in Rachel Lyon’s fundamental underlying idea, that bloggers might be jurors, and bring the questions into the jury.
BUT– what the defense is doing, is creating a ‘perception’– influencing what ‘the juror saw on cable tv last night’– turning what is a negative for this film, into a positive, pre-emptive move, to give defense imagery and ideas, to the jurors to take into the jury room with them.

(I posted the statement of Rachel Lyon earlier, as how media is influencing jurors now– she’s going to be making a film to follow this case, you can be sure, and the topic will be more general than race, it will be how the media can be ‘used’ by defense, to win their case by jury (let’s call it as it is) tampering. But all legal, this is where ‘ETHICS’ comes into play– what are the ethical boundaries when someone’s life is at stake– seems they can be pushed for the higher goal.
(at this point, I’m glad to not be in a place where there is the death penalty but I don’t want to be in a place, where the problems of perception, as we have it in media today ‘being bombarded’ with ‘news’, can be turned into allowing a baby to be killed and justice for the child, real justice that is the truth, the search for the truth, is used to subvert the truth. Is used to damage lives by this particular defense.
I would in addition, ask Ms. Lyon, if she would be as comfortable attacking Mr. Kronk had he not been white, regular, average working guy with marital problems, and instead, had been the all-too-often stereotyped black or Hispanic male. Does it make right, to defend on principle to the point where you say that Kronk guy is expendable for our higher purpose?
It is also notable that Catholics (RC variety) are coming together with Baptists!! Religion will play an influencial role, in it’s little stage setting hints early on, Cindy talking about how important Casey’s bible was to her, and how she was not allowed to have it in jail– but listen to Casey on same subject– her own personal bible, was not important at all, she had one from the jail. But the photos of Casey’s cross come to play… talk of how she prays all the time, how she read her bible all day on Caylee’s birthday, seeking answers.
This is ripe with material for a documentary filmmaker. All things in ‘detail’ visually, documented now for future, first, the ‘future’ of the jury in this case.
This brings me full circle to why I paid attention to this case in the beginning. Marshall McLuen’s 1960′s concept of ‘the medium is the message’ has become ‘the media’ is the message. Ms. Rachel Lyon’s revealing statement that the media can influence more than a negative result, it can maybe, just maybe, be used specifically to gain a postive outcome, even in a case like this.

Attorneys for Casey Anthony want Texas EquuSearch, a nonprofit volunteer search group, to turn over all of its records regarding the search last year for slain toddler Caylee Anthony.
Jose Baez filed the paperwork in court Monday asking the judge to order EquuSearch founder Tim Miller to turn over information — such as names and phone numbers — for the thousands who volunteered to look for the missing 2-year-old Orange County girl……
This is going to sound awful, but I’m glad that I wasn’t part of the search team. Is the PI now going to set his sights on all of the volunteers? And if you reside in another state what is your obligation to speak with the defense, if any?

dee, I haven’t looked at the video as per your question about the judge asking Conway– that is memorable– watch the whole section of the hearing– and watch Casey– as Ms. Drane Burdick speaks about Caylee as being the one the state is concerned with protecting. Casey did NOT like that–
To Conway being asked– Judge Strickland was asking him because he represents Caylee’s grandparents, the ‘family’ and he thought the state might be trying to protect the Anthony’s from these photos being at risk of publication. But remember, the Anthony’s are at this point, clearly on the defense side, the judge recognized that as he asked Ms. D-B about it.
Conway had nothing to do with it, Judge Strickland was being extra thoughtful of them to ask their lawyer, but of course Brad doesn’t give a care (in his professional capacity) about Caylee, she is not his client nor his cause for justice.

ROY was not on Dominic Casey’s ‘Characters of Interest’ as threats in any way, shape or form, to the Anthony’s, to the Memorial service, to the public, nor did he prove so– period. He and the defense, and Brad Conway knew who he was but didn’t list him along with the notorious Nancy Grace, and the ‘Exhibitionist’ John Morgan– Morgan won’t react to that, but would love to hear him with Dominic on the stand about that, if it is pertinent (and non-personal) in the ZG case!! My gawd– exhibitionist– really!

claudia, remember that area, the low area beyond the privacy fence, and off the roadway by several feet, was under water.
So, neatly worded, selectively worded, the statement ‘implies’ that this searcher Buchanan, covered the whole area including the area of the body, as if she walked through that area herself. What it really may say, if there was water in that area, is that she searched the ‘bare’ areas, which border the fence, which border the roadway, not to the east or north of those two areas.
People that go off and do their own little searches, have no responsibility, they do not have the backup of knowledgeable searchers, they don’t know what they are doing, they need to map and detail, and have this reported to the searcher supervisors. And it has to be part of some big map.
If I had done that walk over, and say there was water, I would NEVER have signed that defense document, I would make sure it said what I actually did, and not obliquely ‘imply’ something other, which is what this does. It is an incomplete statement regarding the water areas, even no mention that water was not present, the ground conditions where past water was, nothing.
It’s useless. People need to read intent into this and look at what this Buchanan person is really saying and why. Because if she was a knowledgeable searcher to work on her own, she would be able to sign a proper and complete statement, not this partial incomplete and misleading statement ‘as is’.
That Buchanan person needs to be brought into court, and direct questions asked to clarify her ‘defense’ signed statement.

In the audiotape that Eyewitness News obtained of Andrea Lyon lecturing local lawyers in 2008, she bragged about being thrown out of courtrooms. Lyon said judges are only worried about voters and called them “ugly.”
“Sometimes ugly is presiding. Or do you have great judges in Florida?” Lyon questioned in the recording.
Also on the tape, Lyon called jurors, “killers.”
“You can give the killers on your jury, and there are some, the ammunition they need to go after people,” Lyons said.
She called victims’ advocates awful, and worse, for interfering with her efforts to make inroads with a murder victim’s relative.
“They figured out I was talking to her and that my client’s mother was talking to her and they didn’t like that so they sent one of these victim witness’ little b**ches up there,” she said.
Lyon also made a very crude comment about female prosecutors and their femininity, after calling them uncivilized.
“You know they all wear those little ties and have strap*** at home, whatever,” Lyon said. “I actually will take them aside and say, ‘I’m one of the pioneers and you’re embarrassing me by your behavior.’”
She described one of her former jurors as a mean librarian and an elderly juror as a “blue hair.”
WFTV legal analyst Bill Sheaffer (watch interview) calls her comments outrageous.
“It’s certainly not something that a true professional whether you’re defense or prosecutor really tries to do,” Sheaffer said.
Lyon’s lecture last year could shed light on how she will approach Casey Anthony’s death penalty case. She tells lawyers to get emotional to make jurors feel guilty and to make up theories

Casey’s lawyer Jose Baez wasn’t qualified to handle a death penalty case himself, so he hired Andrea Lyon, a Chicago death penalty expert who calls herself a “pioneer in the field.” Andrea Lyon also calls herself a “genius, legendary” and says her intelligence is superior to jurors’ intelligence.
Hmmm, and she’s humble too.

The reason the Anthony’s get so much attention and consideration is because not only are they next of kin to the accused they are also next of kin to the victim and that gives them a lot of legal rights.
From what’s been on the Central Florida local news tonight if KC gets a jury sure sounds like a field trip to Suburban Dr. If taxpayers are lucky enough will have had another tropical storm that drops fifteen inches of rain or the jury will have to imagine the standing water which Caylee was submerged under for all those months. Oh! But wait the SAO have aerials and dimensional computer graphics of the area where Caylee was found. Just can not understand the Ants family, so sad! What about, Justice for Caylee! There will be more turns and twists to this story before it is all said and done finding the justice for Caylee.
It’s time to shut it down and enforce the gag rule. We are all being played, even here at Blink on Crime. I haven’t seen the defense posters lately but they’ll be back. Doesn’t anyone in all these people care anything about Caylee?

In the beginning, I felt certain Casey was guilty of murdering Caylee and I would have been very content with LWOP. However, now that I have had to listen to Bozo’s incompetence, watch Dr. Baden do a complete turn around on everything he said before his wife became part of this team, and last but not least, ALL the remarks Lyons made at her 2008 Conference, I have changed my mind. It’s because of Casey, that sweet baby is dead and it’s because of Casey, that I’ve had to endure such suffering from watching this defense team and the Anthony family fiascos. I have now decided I want the death penalty ASAP. How’s that for making me feel guilty Andrea Lyon?

Blink– my fav. part is the ‘grey hair mean librarian lady’ comment as it relates to the set-up Joy Wray– yes, she was set up (IMHO) in the courtroom with her new hair, her blast-off Red lips, and that deep shiny violet puffy sleeved blouse (we talked about that ages ago here).
Andrea Lyon says, when taking a non-defensible case of check fraud early in her career, for a grandmother (black woman), who used a check knowing she had no money, to buy Christmas presents at Toys R Us to send to her grandchildren. If convicted, she would loose her job. But no defense. So, she tells the prosecutor, ‘fuck you… let’s pick a jury’.
She sees this blue haired woman who was sure she’d be racist and she was old and looked mean too, but then she noticed her bright PURPLE slip and said to herself “This woman is a KOOK… just what I need for a jury…”
And in the end, it was this woman, who was the one who won it for her– she entered the jury room, took out her knitting, and said to her fellow-jurors, I’m going to vote not guilty, you all can let me know when you decide to join me.
Now– tell me that this bright purple clad Joy Wray was not guided in her preparation for her very memorable purple court appearance, followed by very purple stand-out interview with Bob Kealing, that has ‘resurfaced’ today– memorable in the public viewers minds, as this is the woman who has evidence that Casey is innocent, and who will say so in court– for little Caylee. It’s staged… all of it. I think the same seamstress made Casey’s blouse, as sent JW that ugly thing she wore and then there was the matching hair and screaming lip colour.
