Charlottesville, VA– In a new development in the murder investigation of Morgan Dana Harrington, blinkoncrime.com has learned that Anchorage Farm was very much a frequent party spot for local musicians.

In fact, there was a 7 Mile Sleepover exactly one week after Morgan’s disappearance from the JPJ arena that included an invitation list of over 130 guests.

7mile

Jenny Bass, the adult daughter of David and Nancy Bass, is an accomplished pianist, musician, horticulturist and artist in the Charlottesville community.

The Seven Mile Sleepover appears to have been posted prior to Morgan’s disappearance, approximately October 14, 2009.

While it is unconfirmed how many guests actually attended the event, it is clear there could have been over 100 people within a few hundred yards of Morgan’s final resting place a week after she went missing, and presumably, her death.

As Anchorage Farm is a verified crime scene in an active murder investigation, one wonders if anyone found anything they may not have realized of importance at the time.

According to her facebook, Ms. Bass was clearly disturbed by her discovery as well:

    I apologize for above post.
That is a whole lotta of UVA and a whole lotta maybe’s.

Somebody has got to know something.
Blink, are you planning to do a time-line with ALL information that either has already been confirmed by VSP and by what you know available on your site? Tarheel, did one but there are lots of information that we all could add. It is hard for us to do this in a format that makes sense.
Maybe we could start with one from you?
    Just a thought.
No need to tell me, I know your name is on the door.

“The battery was not recovered, and VSP believes it fell out when Morgan dropped her purse.”

If I remember correctly, the time her phone went dead was 9:30. By this time, Morgan would have been on the bridge. Does this mean she was seen dropping her handbag while she was there?

  3. Mom3.0 says:

    Blink -
My question was not about the battery- it was whether or not once a battery was reinstalled if the phone was operational?
Which led me to ask if it was- was LE able to retrieve some info from Morgans phone such as vm and unread texts? Which led me to ask if Morgan’s phone had internet access and could she have checked her MS FB or tried to contact a friend through those avenues….

If I may Blink, I don’t think SJones was asking Dr. Harrington to answer anything- I think he was trying to convey to me, that the only person he would trust to answer this would be Dr. Harrington- and that perhaps someday, Dr. Harrington would answer more questions just as he recently answered the driving question-

I don’t think SJones was being presumptuous or anything- at all, hope that helps.

This passage here struck me as most interesting:
“Our understanding,” says Dan, “is that the Arena doesn’t have as much surveillance as one might think.” Furthermore, he believes some of the cameras in the arena as well as traffic cameras in the area don’t record.

Now, I have heard about traffic cameras not recording. They are just there to measure the traffic flow. But CCTV not recording?? This would finally explain why there is no footage of Morgan, but it would be outrageous. Does this mean that the CCTV is just displayed in the control room, so that security could intervene, if necessary?

All 3 of us are struggling. We know Morgan is dead as we have peered into her empty eye sockets and felt the rough dry edges of her ribs. Despite those stark memories, little wisps of fantasy or denial persist. A tiny part of me feels as if the last 8! months have been a giant farce, a macabre game of hide and seek. This can’t be real. If I count to ten on base and say “All in come free, free, free” Morgan will materialize from some ingenious hiding place and life will go back to normal.

I know that won’t happen though, can’t happen. There is no going back. But I’m not loving the new normal. It’s too hard, so II don’t really want to move forward. I’m just stuck. What to do? I hope that time works its magic and things sort themselves out somehow. I pray for the peace to accept the unfathomable reality that someone could actually kill our Morgan.

    Wish it was me.

Oh my goodness, when I read Dr. Harrington’s statement “we placed each rock ‘just so’ ” I was taken back to my childhood and the “Just So” stories by Rudyard Kipling my daddy read to me. Daddy’s birthday was June 14 – he would have been 95. He was a wonderful daddy and I miss him.

I am what some call a cockeyed optimist but I truly believe we are very, very close to an arrest in this case. My daddy was a railroad man and every time I hear a railroad whistle I have decided he is saying to me “you’re on the right track” and guess what? I just heard a train whistle blow.

Mom3.0 — “Morgan was so excited to be going to the concert with all of her old friends- she talked to a friend about her excitement during a bus ride- anyone remember this?”

I do but I cannot find it. It was a female who saw her at the bus stop everyday, going to VT. Was it at the bus stop at Fox Run Apartments? Anyone? I can’t remember her name, but I remember reading it.

“How would DC fit in to that scenario…. How long did MN and SS know DC and was DC a friend of Morgan Harrington? Was AM friends with him also?”

Not sure but if he was going with MN, it’s a good bet that they all knew him at least somewhat, or had at least heard about him.
By the time of the infamous Halloween pics, they all definitely knew him it seems.

Alexandra, I remember the long silence about male driver’s identity. (Some serious lawyering happening there…I remain impressed by that.) Then it finally came out that he was DC, he was being called the dd. Somewhere along the way, we learned that he was going with MN, one of the nine.
Later on the timeline we were fed by “not the police” that MN didn’t go because she knew there’d be drinking.

That’s all I got for now.

Hi Elf, I completely understand the confusion we face while we all sort through the information and the updates. What Dr Harrington stated specifically about Morgan’s phone usage:

Morgan texted with her friend that was 60 miles away while she was inside JPJ around 7pm.

Sarah called Morgan at 8:48pm after Morgan was outside the arena.

But Morgan did not make any phone calls or texts from her phone after she was outside the arena.

He also stated that Sarah S. drove Morgan’s car from JMU to UVA with Morgan, Amy and Dan as passengers. And then Dan C. drove Morgan’s car from UVA back to JMU with Amy and Sarah as passengers.

I hope this helps clear up some of the confusion for you, I know how it is. We can get bogged down with a lot of rumors, gossip, forum comments, blog posts, FB, MS, news articles, theories and opinions.

But there are some facts that are “written in stone”, so to speak, that have been given to us directly by LE or the family. Those are the facts that we can always believe 100%.

I do believe that they (LE and the family) will with-hold certain information from the public but I do not believe that they would outright lie to us about a murder investigation. Especially not the Harrington’s.

    Dear Gil, Dan and Alex,

I cannot even imagine the horror that you continue to endure. My heart goes out to you.

Please know that each person here at BOC wishes that we could solve this awful crime and that we each approach it everyday as if we will. I hope that LE does give us, and the rest of the public, more to work with. If the public just knew a little bit more, someone might realize that they are the key, the answer, the tiny piece that makes it all fall together.

All of my very finest thoughts of love, peace and strength go out to you as you continue to find your way through this nightmare. We are all with you and are here for you.

  12. anotherB says:

Just a few more thoughts… there is a good discussion going on at findmorgan at the moment, about cameras, doors and security, and how she could have exited. (I would like to emphasize that I have never been to JPJ, this is just experience from other venues)

Usually, at this type of venue, there are CCTV cameras everywhere at the periphery, and at some strategic points inside the venue. This is mainly to protect them from vandalism (inside) and burglaries (from outside, obviously), and to keep pickpockets under control. The images go live to a control room, where one or more security person oversees them. It is basically a room full of computer screens. Usually, the images are also stored, so that they could be used in a criminal investigation, should something go wrong.

Once most of the visitors are inside, they would close most of the doors and reassign some of the security staff. These doors then function as fire exits, i.e. they can be opened from inside, but not from outside. But – *these doors are then alarmed*. This is to prevent anyone from opening a door and letting their friends in without a ticket. They are usually also in the focus of a CCTV camera. So, if someone opens these side entrances, this will set an alarm off in the control room, and alert security. This is why I don’t think it is realistic that Morgan propped the door open with her foot to have a smoke.

Again, I have no idea how this works at JPJ, but typically staff would have passes which would allow them to access specific areas. If they have one of the standard systems (sarcasm intended), they should have precise chronological data on who opened which door and when. This does, however, not cover the scenario in which someone followed a person with a pass through a door. This is again why there is CCTV storage. People do this all the time, and often, security is too busy overseeing the other screens, and they don’t pay attention to harmless looking events such as this, in particular during a pop concert or similar. They need this data, should it emerge that this was in fact someone with nefarious intentions.

This is pretty much standard. Just think of the Annie Le murder in Yale. They had photos of her entering, and exact data on who entered and when. This is just an ordinary campus building, not a huge concert venue.

If the CCTV did not store images, which would be *most* unusual, this would explain why there is no footage of Morgan.

Why would that footage be of importance? It would give the family closure, if they knew how she got outside, even though it is not of importance to the investigation. Moreover, it would reveal whether she was visibly impaired, which could explain some of her actions. Finally, it would show whether she left on her own or with a group.

  13. anotherB says:

One more thing I would like to add – access passes are as good and reliable as the person who programed the software and the person issuing the pass (typically, he would have to select various options on a computer screen – one wrong key stroke, and the specific employee has different access rights). These systems can malfunction. I am aware of a case where a junior secretary found out by coincidence, i.e. by standing next to a door, that she effectively had a master key to the entire building (not just her company, all of them). I have no idea what the reason was, but it did cause a stir.

Good old fashioned alarm systems tend to work, and so does CCTV.

The Harrington’s last posts break my heart. Oh, how I so want closure in this case and justice for Morgan. It’s been too long. So much time has passed. Maybe I watch too much forensic files, but how have these individuals who responsible for taking Morgan from her ever so loving family been able to outsmart LE and the FBI? I just don’t get it.

  18. alexandra says:

We thought all along that Dan drove Morgan’s car to the concert and he was called “the designated driver” Not true, Sarah drove.
It was initially reported that Morgan sat in the back seat and was studying. We don’t believe it, but that was just a little mistruth. If you go back and read the news from Oct 18th, it took at least 11 days to verify that in fact they drove Morgan’s car TO the concert from Harrisonburg. They were supposed to take someone elses car. No big deal. It’s just that nobody made it 100% clear, even to the Harrington’s, and Morgan was missing and everyone was worried.
My theory from the beginning was that she was spotted as a beautiful girl by the crew people and told to go outside and they would take her backstage and to the after concert party. I always thought she was tricked. I am angry at the girlfriends because they didn’t help her, but now we know there was an argument. Did the argument start in Harrisonburg? That makes me remember the roommates where the still open case fire occured in January. I am parked here, until the answers are found. WHO could have harmed, broken her ribs and killed beautiful Morgan? May the revelation come soon and expose them all.
You are not alone Dan & Gil. We want justice for Morgan. I would love to pressure VSP but I won’t, for now. At some point they are going to have to say something. VSP has to know that we are not going to let this just go away. We are not leaving Morgan until there is justice.

Hi and thanks, Chad! By ES do you mean Etaoin Shrdlu, who is one and the same as KH? If so, I for sure hope his name is familiar to LE, just based on (a) his friends, (b) his current and former bandmates and photos of their practices, (c) his place of residence, (d) his housemates and their acquaintances. I need to find time to go back through all my names, but I think that is the only ES I found employed at UVA Bio labs. (And Eloise, honestly, I cannot remember for sure what made me start thinking about someone with access, but the location of the labs on Alderman is of interest to me just because of its location, right between rental properties off JPA/JPA Extended and the JPJ Arena.)

There is a three-named Tech grad who works JPJ and bothers me, but I believe I found a pic of him stagefront as Metallica played (not to say he should not still be checked out, as he has friends of interest).

Who is our farm friend if not JB?

    ……….
So it is my belief she was duped. Whether she was set up by someone all along, or was innocently outside to meet up with someone and therefore got picked up. I tend to think the working theory by the Harrington’s is that her phone may have been disabled on it’s own and not nefariously done. I’m not sure about that. B/c the purse was with the phone and the battery being lost is one thing. Both being together leads me to think its disabling was deliberate.
    ……….

I believe this summary is brilliant and should be looked at, I know it is not fact but I like the thought process. We now have as fact that someone text-ed an individual approx 60 miles [sixty plus minutes] away. We can asume it was Morgan that text-ed.
A couple of things, I will pose them as questions:
1] would someone that duped her have to know that she had surrendered her keys for the plan to work?
2] could it be that he person who received the text may have had more than one friend at the concert?

Hello old friends and welcome new ones.
It warms and encourages me to come to Morgans page on BOC and find so many of you still standing and offering up relevant points of view, observations and meticulously researched potential leads on the sudden abduction and brutal murder of Morgan Harrington. She was an extraordinary young woman, bright academically, luminously beautiful, free spirited and kind hearted. A modern day Fairy tale princess whose light was violently snuffed out ,and who did not have a happy ending.
From what I can make out Morgan had many friends from many walks of life, and was tremendously loved by all, especially her dear father, mother and brother.
My heart bleeds for the Harringtons everyday and tears still spring to my eyes as Morgans 21st birthday approaches, and nigh on 9 months since I was introduced to Morgan the very day she was announced missing. Words cannot express the sadness, horror and outrage I felt and still feel, and how I would like to bring her back, wrap her in her parents arms, soothe her tears and surround Morgan,Gil, Dan and Alex in a protective embrace free from all pain and loss.
God give them strength and light their path.
My eyes have been opened , evil does exist in the world and evil incarnate snatched “shiny” Morgan Harrington,on a cold rainy night after she had been locked out of a Metallica concert and left high and dry by her childhood friends.
How can this be ? How can this happen? Perhaps in poverty stricken Africa or India. Or in the middle ages when marauding tribes swept into a village abducted and raped the women and children and killed the people, or some evil man accosted a solitary girl going to fetch water.
But today!! With all the technology and education and womens’ rights.
Morgans demise makes a mockery of all this so called progress. Evil exists and is strutting through our neighborhoods preying on our young every waking day. How to live with this realization?
Ask the Harringtons. Ask all other families with lost or murdered loved ones. Ask dear Blink!!
Push the knowledge to the furtherest reaches of ones mind, pray for the victims and their families , try to figure out how best to address this monumental breakdown. How to raise awareness, change laws, solve crimes, find abducted children, rehabilitate victims.
Come back to the drawing board day after day, back to square one like Blink does, and Observer, and many others who work in this area, and comment here do.
Sitting like sentinels at the gate are we. Waiting for justice for Morgan. Some of the ace researchers and gifted sleuths here on BOC actively pursuing justice more than others like myself, who sit on the sidelines, read every post, pray , comment, weep, and figure out slowly where to place oneself.
Where exactly on the dike to put ones finger so to speak. It is such a huge undertaking …one step at a time , never look up , keep on walking.
My daughter just graduated middle school. She floated beaming like an Angel in her floor length white dress, a floral wreath in her hair, across the green meadow under the rose bower and up the steps to receive her diploma and a hug from the proud headmaster. She is about to turn 15. My thoughts and prayers turned to Morgan Harrington and Yeardley Love, of all the ceremonies and rights of passage their parents have walked them through. Of all the rights and passages that have been snatched from them, gone forever.
Thank you fellow friends and strangers for staying with Morgan, for offering to hold Gil and Dans’ and Alex’s hands.Thank you for remaining in the hay field with the rest of us, until we help vindicate this precious young womans’ life in some small way, and bring the cowardly and dangerous individual or individuals who murdered her to justice.

Primarily #1, yes, that whole designated driver, no access to your own key situation is too convenient. There had to be some deliberate maneuverings for lack of a better word. Maybe not her girlfriends per-se, but like your #2, someone who was privy to that information.
The problem for LE may have arisen in some of this planning may have taken place in person so it cannot be backtracked thru cell phone records or fb etc. Now obviously I am just trying to think about what scenereos we have been staring at that we have overlooked.

I am going to have to get back into my daily schedule of being on BOC, at least to read, if not to post. I am reading backwards trying to catch up, once again.
Astonishing; it seems as though Morgan did not call anyone after she got outside the JPJ arena and couldn’t get back in. Not making any phone calls after getting locked out makes me think she didn’t want to go anywhere. Morgan searching for the parking lot party scene (aka Dead show) makes sense. She probably pretty quickly surmised that wasn’t going to pan out. Maybe she checked out the rv lot scene, deemed it creepy, and left. While there she could have dropped her purse, and picked it back up. Maybe she went to go to the 7-11 to buy smokes, realized while on the Copeley Road bridge that she had dropped her wallet a few minutes ago, turned back to the rv lot and was abducted there.
Morgan’s not making any phone cals says to me that she 1) was ok with being right where she was and 2) didn’t have an immediate need to get anywhere or 3) did want to call someone, couldn’t because she had lost her phone battery, and tried to borrow someone else’s (a stranger’s) phone. This is important because 1 & 2 mean she would have tried to stay close to the arena. She did try to get back in, according to witnesses. 3 would explain her walking away from the arena more than it would explain her trying to get back in the concert. If she did NOT want to leave the arena vicinity, why would she tell SS she would find her way back to JMU/Blacksburg/whichever? Ugh, I am starting to confuse myself.
I should have started some charts months ago. This case could be a master’s thesis on logic, probability & statistics. “The odds of ‘If A, then B but not C’ happening are 30x the odds of ‘A, but not B if C’ given D as a constant accross all scenarios.” Seriously, I am not kidding. I took Behavioral Statistics 3 times before I finally graduated college (Psych major) the first time around. Only took Logic once, though, aced and enjoyed it. Behavioral Stats (BS), not so much. I wish life was as simple as my Principles of Operant Behavior text book made it out to be. I called it “Rats, Pigeons and Cats 451″ … the class was number 451 in the course offerings.

I digress. I have nothing to offer but photos.

There may be some random pictures of the RV/overflow lot in that slide show. I need to remember to go out there one day around sunset and take pictures, instead of doing it in the middle of the day. It will make for better pictures, since that time of day has more ambient light, and I will be able to see the LCD screen on my camera better. Although I have to say the Power Shot has a nice little view finder. Not many cameras have those any more. Enjoy!

    AWESOME!! Thank you Friend.

I saw my Paua shell, it felt good and it is great to see you here again, do visit often.

This whole thing re Morgans phone is bothering me. The fact she never made any calls or texts once she was outside the arena. If Morgan had her phone and it was not functioning , how come it was working when Sarah Snead said she called Morgan?

Did Morgan even have her phone outside?
We only have Sarah Sneads word that she called Morgan, and that Morgan answered her and said she would “try to find a ride home with friends around Charlottesville.”

There is a lot hanging on SS’s statement. SS had Morgans keys, did she also have her phone and call it from inside the arena?

Sarahs’call to Morgan is obviously on Morgans cell phone records at I think around 8:48Pm, so the phone was working then.

Then no calls from Morgan, or texts for that matter …very odd…..for one and a half hours until 9 30 PM when Morgans phone mysteriously went dead.

Surely if the battery fell out after SSs’ call, Morgans’ phone would have gone dead earlier.

Morgan was I think, observed asking to borrow a phone ……I ask again did she even have her phone with her?

We KNOW she did have her shoulder strap handbag with her as witnesses apparently report seeing her drop it.
This raises another question in my mind. If Morgan did NOT have her phone on her person outside the arena and we know the phone was found early next day WITH the handbag ….how did the phone get back in the handbag?

Just another possible scenario…. everything is in until it is out, as I have learned as a very amateur sleuth here on BOC.

If the phone was in fact in Morgans possession I still think it is weird that it was working when Sarah called at 8 48PM and then nothing until 9:30PM when it went dead and no more trace of Morgan.

    Thoughts anyone? J4M

Hummingbird, you just expressed what I was trying to wrap my mind around last night. Remind me not to post at bedtime when I’m eating Lindt chocolate truffles half-asleep.

Morgan must have been pretty p.o.’d. Maybe she took SS’s call at 8:48, then turned her phone off in a huff. Maybe the battery fell out after that call, and later when she tried to make a / some call(s) realized the battery was gone, and assumed it was too small to find. She could have tried to borrow a phone at this point. Maybe she just said “F*** it” and looked for some people to hang with until the show let out. That could be the Boys in Black in the RV lot. They concern me greatly. I wish I had a script of her conversation with the basketball players, because that could be the best indicator of her state of mind and likely next course of action. Doubt we’ll ever get any details about that.

Re my earlier post #35 about Phone.

Afterthought …. Can the VSP distinguish from the cell phone “pings” if in fact Morgans phone was outside or inside JPJ Arena from the time Morgan was outside ..can they check from between 7 45pm and 9 30pm ?
Also my over riding and gut feeling that has never left me from the get go in this case is that it is NO coincidence that Morgans phone went dead exactly at the time she vanished …..

Phone dead ….NO Morgan sighting ever again I am sorry it is just too “synced “for me to not think it was the result of a devious interception and abduction of Morgan at that point.

Can anyone clue me in on the technology of being able to pin point “exactly ” where the phone was in the relevant time frame, and how any of you feel about the phone dying exactly when Morgan disappeared only to be found three months later brutally murdered in a hay field ten or so miles from the concert she went missing from?
    Thanks J4M

Hummingbird- to your post I say “ditto”

Morgan’s phone/activity weighs heavily on my mind.

Morgan’s last text (friend 60 miles away) was at about 7:20 from inside the arena.

Blink, you wrote that Morgan last sent a text message at 7:20–is this correct–or did you mean to write 9:20? If it was indeed 7:20–then she was supposedly inside the arena, correct?

yes, text and approximately that time, she was inside the arena
    B

LOG left the stage at 8:40, Sarah called Morgan at 8:48

If this video shows Morgan- I believe it does- Morgan left before the song was done- What is this LOG song? When was it played during the set? Was it the last LOG song?

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wKq75zazjSE&feature=related

How long was Morgan in the br, she was seen crying? It doesn’t make sense if Morgan left at 8:40 and Sarah called her a mere 8 min later- and Morgan had already went to the BR, fell, got thrown out/left- tried to get back in, and decided to get a ride home….

Metallica didn’t take the stage until 9:10- thats plenty of time to think of alternatives other than – saying in an 8:48 call- See ya later- take my car- I give up- I’m gonna find a ride with friends…

    Dear Hummingbird,

There’s something hinky about the phone no doubt about it. I was under the impression the consensus used to be: No battery, but supposedly that wasn’t odd; call at 8:48, then texting after; phone powered down at 9:20 pm; phone and cover but no battery found. Now it’s last text 7:20 (or something like that); call at 8:48; no definite info on when phone last pings. Please someone set me straight if this isn’t right.

There is something hinky about the shirt. To this day we have not seen a picture of it.

There’s something hinky about no pictures. Does anyone think the petition will be successful? I have a strong sense this new info and the petition have been sanctioned by the Harringtons.

I’m not sure but I think there’s a new sheriff in town and his name is Dan Harrington.

  40. mary says:

I like to think about what the police know:

*They know exactly what the basketball players have to say.
*They know the exact sequence of events from the time Morgan and Amy left Blacksburg.
*They know everything about Morgan’s life in the last few years.
*They know all her parents’ and brother’s lives in the last few years.
*They know what was found or not found with Morgan.

I think they have a pretty good idea who did it but just need the answer to one last question. Somebody hopefully will become uncomfortable enough to start getting some things off their chest.

  41. Tarheel says:

I agree with juliemooly in that it doesn’t seem that Morgan wanted to go anywhere because she never used her phone to try to make arrangements. Also, I may be a minority here, but I’m starting to think that Morgan never said she would try to find a ride home, and the friends just said that to cover their butts. Not that they killed Morgan but it doesn’t seem that they helped her either.

I also agree with Hummingbird that it is just too much of a coincidence for me to accept that Morgan’s phone went off/down at the exact time she was last spotted on the bridge. Do the Police know for a fact that Morgan was trying to borrow a phone? I don’t recall the type of phone Morgan had, but I think it’s been reported that her phone and the back of the phone were found with her purse. If that’s the case, then the battery would have not been able to accidently fall out without Morgan realizing it or the back of the phone should have been missing too.

Was it ever reported what type of clothes the boys in black were wearing? I know they were black/dark, but were they jeans, tshirts, boots? Or were they possibly sweatsuits in a dark blue which could be confused with black at night? Sweatsuits would indicate to me that the boys were LAX players or BB players.

  42. anotherB says:

Just spent some time looking at old posts and articles – Mrs. Harrington saw the crime scene before Morgan’s remains were moved.

    @ Tarheel June 19, 2010 at 5:36 pm

The exact location of the purse was not revealed, despite repeated questions – there are recordings of the first press conferences on the Hook websites. The vicinity to the athletes’ facilities was stressed, however.

    http://www.readthehook.com/blog/index.php/2009/12/18/holiday-heartache-harringtons-face-christmas-without-morgan/

This article has more on the handbag – that Morgan dropped it repeatedly, and that the contents had spilled out.

As for people “covering their butts”. This is what I believe. I don’t think the friends were in any way complicit, but they were certainly not very caring either, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they had left a few details out that would make them appear irresponsible.

I also get the impression that someone may not be telling the whole truth about how Morgan left the arena. I am wondering whether there is the ticket/security person by the door who couldn’t be bothered to advise her about the no reentry policy, or the catering person who propped a door to a staff-only area open, just for a moment, while was fetching something, or the maintenance person who forgot to activate the alarm on one of the fire exits.

I have the feeling she got lost and ended up outside accidentally. Does anyone know the anatomy of the arena?

I would like to offer option number 4 – she was no longer compos mentis, either because she had fallen on her head, or because she had been drugged by someone, and unable to use her phone or make any rational decision.

    This is my personal belief.

    I would like to add:
    - they have seen the remains and know whether there were any ritualistic/perverted aspects in addition to the extreme violence
    - they have examined the field and have recovered “a wealth of evidence”
    - they have details about the history of the obvious suspect
    - they know whether said person wore a GPS anklet, and if so, whether it worked in North Garden
    - they have the shirt, and an analysis of the DNA found on it
    - they have *a lot* of witness accounts from outside JPJ
    - they know who turned in the handbag
    - they know whether JB or the neighbours on the Blandemar side were at home
    - they have the footage of the tree stand cameras
    - they have background checks of all the people living near AF
    - they know who went on that bike race, when they returned, and whether they saw anything
    - they know where GH stayed after the murder, and they know what they found there
    - they may know whether his DNA showed up in any unsolved case (not sure about the legal framework here)

Thankyou mom3.0, juliemooly, Mary, Tarheel, for responding to the hinky phone question.

Well said you all raise important points.

It also bugs the heck out of me that I remember ( sorry no link) LE stating that they did not consider the phone and battery and perhaps even the handbag as very important in the investigation!! Sigh …

To me the fact they were found next day near Lannigan field was truly omninous from the very start.

Also now that we know a la crosse player turned it in is another hmmmm.
IN my humble opinion the phone was and is VERY important.

Mom3.0 your time line between Log coming off stage etc is very relevant to me ..I pasted it below:

( that is truly weird and impossible to fit in all that in that time frame)

Metallica didn’t take the stage until 9:10- thats plenty of time to think of alternatives other than – saying in an 8:48 call- See ya later- take my car- I give up- I’m gonna find a ride with friends…

( yes that is a good 22 minutes versus the 8 mins above unless Morgan was out of the arena way before Log finished their set )
The boys in black haunt me as well Tarheel and Mary how I would LOVE to hear the testimony of the
    BB players

Yep go Dan Harrington Morgan wasn’t “shiny ” for nothin!!

but how does that address the timeline the sightings in and around the parking lots and the conversations with the BB Players …good comment Julie can you expound on it for me?

Another B, I am with you on your #4, especially if all the witness accounts of Morgan repeatedly dropping her purse are true and of her, and not someone else.

I still want to know exactly what the VSP were looking for when they specifically reached out to cyclists in the community for tips. It’s like they were fishing for something very specific, which they will not reveal so as not to tip their hand, and just need a witness to confirm it. What it is, I don’t know.

Police reports say that she was separated from friends shortly before 9pm and that she was going outside and was thought to be returning shortly. I arrived at the JPJ around 9pm and witnessed a girl who fits her description leaving the arena. I am not positive I can recall what she was wearing, just that I remember black and high heels. The girl that I saw was extremely intoxicated and by herself. I also witnessed her drop her purse several times, and police reports say it was found along with her cell phone outside the JPJ. I do not want to make assumptions on the very little evidence I have, but if one of her friends that was with her that night sees this and is willing to discuss if alcohol was involved, my report may be helpful. I do not know where she headed after leaving the arena, however. Just that she had a spat with the female security guard working the door. I will call the police hotline and tell them what I know in the morning.
