Orlando, FL– Yesterday, the defense team of Jose Baez, J. Cheney Mason and Andrea Lyon filed a motion to strike the Statement of Particulars including aggravating factors claiming that is does not list the States “facts” to support them. Team Baez is claiming that “may rely” does not meet the burden of the Steele citation used to compel the order from Judge Perry in the last hearing.

Baez_casey_lyon

In essence they would like state to kindly hand over their theories and work product, if you please-

Also filed by the defense, this time including Linda Kenney Baden, is a 49 page motion with exhibits for discovery from the Oak Ridge Laboratory otherwise known as The Body Farm.

It is within this motion, we learn something very new, and very critical to this case.

THERE IS A FRAGMENT OF A LATENT PRINT ON THE EXTERIOR TRUNK OF CASEY’S CAR.

According to Baden’s supplemental request, there are 18 latent fingerprint lifts, 8 areas of latent lifts developed via dye stain and one fragmented lift from the trunk. Wonder who they will belong to?

This morning, the State is releasing an additional 500 pages of discovery in the murder case against Casey Anthony.

It will be posted as it is received, check back to blinkoncrime.com for updates.

It helps. Can’t call that junk science but funny how Dr. Lee shot the defense in the foot. Not the best news for them, imo.

please tell ? how did Dr Lee shoot the defense in the foot and as of recent pray tell???

    #6 Chica

My friend, I just meant him being on the defense team AND proving there was a body in the trunk (death wax) is like scoring on your own team, if that makes sense. He gave the ponit to the prosecution. Maybe I’m wrong, and it won’t be much of a factor but it ISN’T junk science.

I did post on here a while ago that Dr. Lee was accused of stealing and with holding evidence in the Phil Spector case (not sure if he’s been charged for it though). That one snapped the elastic off my gitch! If you go back a page or two, there should be a link.

Hope you’re doing well Chica xo

Mom3.0…you and Blink are KILLING me with the passing of notes in class.

It’s just the busy body in me! Much love xo

I owe you an apology, point taken.
I have to allow it for the good of the case, and you have my word, I will disclose as appropriate, here first.

If you watch the death penalty hearing part 4 @ 12:26, you can see that Jose has outlook running on his computer. Throughout the hearing, Cindy looks to be texting (head down). Casey will look at the screen, jot something down and Jose would type on his keyboard. Anyone else agree?

Yes. During a court proceeding. Clueless how he is allowed to get away with that.

  10. Ragdoll says:

Blink, I do understand! I respect and understand your reasons. You do NOT owe me an apology. I’ll be supporting you for the long haul, however I can.

It is disgustingly OBVIOUS they are doing this in the courtroom!!! Whose responsibility is it to monitor this type of inappropriate activity and put a stop to it? The guards in the courtroom? Who should be notified to pay special attention to this behavior? The guards? The judge? Who?
I’m sure whoever sits behind the defense team in the spectator benches can clearly see what Baez is doing on his laptop and his cellphone. They need to report it. IMO

When teacher finds out :>) she makes them read it aloud for the whole class. Me patiently waiting . . .

  13. Kleat says:

    JW, and Thinker, yes!

At the start of pt 4 in the seconds before Ms. Lyons takes the camera view away from the table, the first thing that struck me as obvious, was the position of the screen, not in front of lawyer, but in over to his right, just like his client as he looks at something on the table in front of his client. But it also shows the action of typing with the screen set for client.

They could be doing this in jail visits too, but really– in court?? This is shocking. If it’s allowed to happen in jail visits, then every jail inmate should be treated equally and have their opportunity to have these private ‘wireless’ visits.

If they can do this in a real ‘trial’ (and why is the trial any different from one of these hearings?), fancy side communications between people in (or even outside in the hall or in the washrooms) and the accused, or anyone else at the defense table, for that matter.)

One note on the 12:24 seconds view, is the attention of the sheriff not on the speaker, but appears to be directly watching Casey. Maybe he noticed what Baez the known rule breaker, was doing.

  14. Mom3.0 says:

Ragdoll, Sister, and all- I am sorry. If it makes you guys feel any better, I am in just as much suspense as you are.

I wish I could discuss this with Blink and everyone. But, I wouldn’t want to jeopardize Caylee’s chance at justice, and I know all of you wouldn’t want that either.

So here I am with you all, waiting patiently, hoping that another piece of the puzzle has been found, and justice isn’t too far behind.

  15. Kleat says:

End of pt 3, Baez types while the judge is ruling, as he finishes, he moves into a position that blocks view of client from the camera. Beginning of Pt 4, shows the screen and client and more typing.

At one point, the prosecution takes papers up to the judge and passes by the defense table. Jose literally jumps up to block the view on the computer screen then he kind of looks around trying to figure out how to casually sit down again. DUH!

  27. Kleat says:

just wondering, if that’s Ashton’s response that Lyon said she had, the judge didnt’ get but Ashton said was emailed to him, then the judge says he’ll just take a quick look, that was at the point where Baez was doing a lot of his typing. Maybe he’s just typing notes and amusing/distracting Casey as she reads them, maybe he’s giving her pointers to stay zoned out.

How likely is it that Judge Perry will overturn Judge Strickland’s rulings?

    WARNING Graphic
I was reviewing past interviews last night- George and the FBI-

July 22nd or 24th and the gas can incident- I was just wondering if LE ever took the tire wedges into evidence? and the plastic container that was in the trunk that was holding the gas cans?

I don’t remember seeing these items, sans the gas cans in the evidence lists.

George then said, he got a look in the trunk and saw clothes and the collapsible blue bin, Casey retrieved the gas cans from the bin, and quickly closed her trunk- was the bin just inside the trunk, full of clothes and gas cans? What happened to these clothes- was Caylee in the trunk, behind this bin, hidden from view? George went on to talk of the tow yard and the smell, and the basketball sized stain in the trunk.

I know your O -theory Blink and was wondering if the first smaller pieces could have been placed on Caylee inorder to facilitate death, then later, Casey used the tape inorder to secure little Caylee’s body to the trunk, especially her head to stop it from wobbling -especially if Casey broke Caylee’s little neck or crushed it (the neck) with her hands or heavy object?- (did some reading on SM about Caylee’s atlas bone)-the extra tape would prevent little Caylee’s movement and rolling and she would have been easier to obscure from view, behind the collapsible bin-?

No one ever mentioned the clothes or the wedge again, and I was also wondering if any fibers consistent with the trunk carpet were found at the scene or elsewhere?

Yes, there were, but their origin to my knowledge has not been disclosed.
Agreed on the wedge, I have asked that a few times…
    B

  32. dee says:

chica I bet JP is no nonsense he is not going to have this mess in his house…it is going to take some time but with that (time) everything will come to light!

  33. Mom3.0 says:

Blink -if it can be proven beyond a shadow of a doubt that Caylee was inside Casey’s trunk whether alive/dead or both- is that enough for the death penalty, being she is a victim under twelve?

Could the murder weapon be the tire wedge along with neck breaking and or suffocation(tape)? Perhaps Casey wasn’t trying to keep the cans away from George, but the wedge and the sight and smell of little Caylee?

She afterall could have just driven off, without giving George the cans- afterall, he says in the FBI interview, that he knew of Casey borrowing gas before, so why even open the trunk and take the chance? IMO, Casey only ever admitted guilt or a lie, when covering for a bigger lie- subterfuge- gas cans in exchange for wedge?
George said he had two wedges, both metal- where are they now- Is there a photo of the wedge he kept in the garage?

And can anyone remind me of the dates of the shovel and the yard cleanup?

  34. Carolyn S. from Maryland says:

    Mom3.O
I have always wondered if what george saw in the trunk was not “clothes” per say, but the “laundry Hamper” which he assumed had dirty laundry in it, and so reported it as “clothes”. I have wondered if this near miss is what forced KC in a panic to dump the body ASAP because she was afraid of what George may have seen. I don’t think George would have realized until after the body was found that it was not laundry that he had seen.

  35. Mom3.0 says:

    Carolyn S. from Maryland,

Yes, I see your point- thank you for bringing that thought to my attention, clothes hamper= laundry bag, makes sense and makes me wonder…

    ——-
Speaking of wondering, I know I said I was patiently waiting, but I guess I am not as patient as I hoped, perhaps my children are right….

Any word back yet Blink, and if not, do expect anything soon?

Just trying to brace myself, on a time frame- days? weeks? months?

Thanks again for everything, Blink, and I hope I am not making a pest out of myself…..

  37. Carolyn S. from Maryland says:

    Mom 3.0
There was only that one time that George said he got close enough to see into the trunk. In all the other versions of this story he tells, he claims he was never close enough to see into the trunk.
why change this? If what he really saw was the laundry hamper it would connect Casey to the car when Caylee’s body was in it. Is this what he really saw? And is this what he backed off of in other statements where he insists he couldn’t see into the trunk? If he had actually seen into the trunk and there was no body in there, it would be a big plus for the defense, so why did George later back off and insist he couldn’t see into the trunk?

  38. Leslee S. says:

Have any of you thought about the possibility that Casey hung Caylee? I think sometimes about that drawing of Casey’s that had the little girl with the noose around her neck. Is that the one that has something about ‘Why do people kill’? Also, about the gas can incident…wouldn’t George have smelled decomp if Casey had opened the trunk? And, if she did give George the gas cans, wouldn’t they have smelled? I know that the Anthonys have lied about so much but I cannot figure out why George would lie about that incident.

  39. Ragdoll says:

    Mom3.0

WOW! That is big. You have a gift my friend.. Coming from you, I believe this could be considered a logical scenario.

Thank you for sharing this possibility with us. In my mind, it explains the ‘fetal position’ stain some see in the trunk (I can’t make out the shape personally). I remember thinking when Caylee was found that putting her body there seemed like a hasty disposal. She was so close to the road. It was only a matter of time.

JMHO but thank you MOM! As always, a freaking amazing opinion from you. xo

  40. Ragdoll says:

Mom, I will do some searching for you. When you ask about yard clean up, are you referring to the collection of evidence….or are we back tracking to the dog search?

I just found this comment and am wondering, did anyone else know this tid bit? I’ve NEVER heard of this myself:

*Zanny the Nanny is a character from a children’s book. (source: http://tinyurl.com/32j57rp)

  41. Ragdoll says:

Also, (the same link contains this info too), I’ve stumbled on info regarding the mass text message Casey sent out on July 16. She says that Caylee has been missing for ’32 days’. Casey may have associated her days of freedom with the day Caylee was murdered. Up until recently, I was with the belief Caylee was missing for ’31 days’. Casey states 32 days specifically…..which would indicate Caylee’s passing would have been on June 15. Anyone with me on this?

Perhaps this details has surfaced before and I’m slow to hitchin onto the timeline wagon. Not the first time, nor the last. :P

  44. Mom3.0 says:

Ragdoll I am not sure what I meant now – I think I mean, the day Cindy and George put in the new sidewalk ect-

Thanks Ragdoll, but don’t buy into my theory just because its coming from me- every day I think something new, most I don’t post, but I am glad to have BOC to bounce my thoughts off of-

By the way Ragdoll, thanks for bringing up Dr. Lee finding the hair with gravewax on it- it certainly seems to help the prosecution-

I can’t figure out the defense’s strategy are they sticking with the nanny story or are they going with accident or Kronk or Jesse or ?

To me they seem to have backed themselves into a corner, with the nanny, and if it were an accident, how the heck could Casey have covered it up and thrown her daughter away? and then partied and got a tattoo and and and?

Sorry Blink- regarding my last post, gotcha me = pest

Have a good Memorial Day weekend everyone, RIP Caylee

For me, additional adipocere found, will absolutely help the prosecution.

I truly believe she was in the A’s backyard initially, I know that is not a popular opinion, but it is mine.
    B

  45. Mom3.0 says:

whoops- forgot to thank Carolyn S. from Maryland, for reminding me that George changed his story on the trunk- I don’t know if that is significant to the clothes hand or hamper- because all of them Cindy, George, Lee, seemed to backtrack on almost every thing ever said KWIM?
But thank you for bringing up that point.

Leslee S., thanks for your thoughts- yes, after I saw that hanging bear and references to breaking necks, I thought hanging could have played into Caylee’s death- Good point-

IMO whatever happened to Caylee was not an accident, and it couldn’t have possibly looked accidental because if it did, why would Casey do everything in her power to prevent Caylee from being found? If it was an accident, why not just call 911 and go on with her bella vita?-

Cindy and George have proven time and time again that they will clean up Casey’s messes, and lessen her culpability- So why not simply report the accident, and get the sympathy and all the rest out of the way?

    —–

Boz and Chica, Blink’s protective order is for good reason, otherwise, under Florida law, all emails are public information (and per Blinks P.Order for the addies, they wont’ get sent!). If you want to write to someone, better in a letter, HOWEVER, we’ve seen what happens to letters in THIS case that people have sent to judges.

It’s obvious to the court personel, what is or isn’t going on. Notice the jail officer in a photo directly behind George and Cindy at one point, then she wasn’t there later as those seats filled with others attending the trial. Someone was looking over shoulders, and that was not the last hearing, but the one before.
