Caylee/Casey Anthony Case: Will Judge Rulings Today Be Defense Doomsday?
Chief Judge Belvin Perry promised to rule on 2 outstanding motions by her defense team today.
Update #1 4:45PM.. Motion to exclude trunk stain… D E N I E D
Rulings on Critical Motions regarding a hair with a "deathband" that could only belong to a deceased individual and either Casey or Caylee Anthony, and the air samples tested by Dr. Arpad Vass and found to contain chloroform levels he has never seen, in his 22 year career.
The air samples themselves are not in contention as the "hardware" and methodology in their extraction are used widely in the scientific community, and the defense team, through a stipulation agreement to withdraw contempt proceedings against him, could not argue about anything else. The defense argument was largely about the interpretation of the data that was yielded from the samples as they relate to a decompositional event in the trunk of Casey's car.
Both motions were a combination of a Frye/exclusion attempt by the defense that took several days in court to conclude, in which many observers felt were disorganized and poorly argued in contrast to the deft responses by the prosecution.
Yesterday, for the second time, Jose Baez on behalf of Casey Anthony filed a response to the State's motion to let his already withdrawn "experts" Dr. Danzinger and Dr. Weis be permitted to testify as to what Casey told them during their interviews with her.
You may recall, during the State's deposition attempt of Dr. Danzinger, Judge Perry put the kibosh to it after receiving a call from Jose Baez, and both depositions have since been sealed. Judge Perry referenced testimony about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, or PTSD, but legal experts agree that in itself would not be grounds for suspending a deposition and immediately sealing it.
It is this editors opinion that during the deposition, Dr. Danzinger recounted parts of his interview with Casey Anthony that may have been incriminating to her.
It was abundantly clear that the defense strategy is/was to attempt to have these witnesses speak about parts of their interviews with Casey Anthony as a way to repeat her "defense" without ever taking the stand, subjecting her to cross-examination by the state.
It is also abundantly clear that Jose Baez et al did not understand the Judge's comments about these depositions the first time around.
The only way these "Docs" will be permitted to testify to anything Casey Anthony told them, is if Jose Baez presents an exception argument to the hearsay rule, and since the "declarant" or Casey Anthony, will never take the stand, 'not gonna happen.
Yesterday afternoon, the defense depositions of Tony Lazzarro and Amy Huizenga were filed with the court.
While there was largely previously known information contained in both depositions, there was one noteworthy tidbit in Ms. Huizenga's which the defense glossed over in a hurry.
Reported exclusively by www.blinkoncrime.com, the Anthony's withheld a major plumbing emergency at their home that sent someone from Hopespring Drive in a panic to locate Caylee.
For the first time, it is confirmed that Casey knew about it, and told Amy it was one of the reasons they could not move in:
This article will be updated when Judge Perry rules this afternoon.

Geeze, Blink! I was reading through Amy’s defense depo and came across page 25 and the pipes!
You were TOO fast!
Amy was not deposed previously by the defense, a point revealed so publicly by Judge Perry in his courtroom, when he asked the defense about depositions yet to be done, and they had not questioned Amy ‘yet’. Perry asked if they didn’t do it for the check fraud case, and they said ‘no’– Perry got a strange look on his face on that one.
My suspicion has been that Amy has been a big target created by Casey, and it’s clear that Mr. Red-shirt-bubble-blowing-notepad-tottin’-court-a-goin’ Jeremy Lyons, PI, was gathering dirt on everyone and everything, and Amy and her ‘cruise’ life (so the defense would like us to believe), needs to be discredited, even implicated.
No doubt Baez’s long sleezy arms caused someone to make the middle of the night phone call to threaten Amy into dropping the check charges.
I know, right? 20 People at the house??
Well you know who has ties to that area- right? Former Transit Cop.. Jus sayin’
B
Blink, I know this is off topic but I have been wondering and wondering about that bag of clothes and stuffed animals that guy Keith found on Hopespring and he took to Cindy to look at and he took it back and called police, it was said that they tossed it back in the woods. Did they ever recover that one bag and determine if it had any connection to Caylee…it kind of went mute after that and was never documented what was in that? Do you know? Sorry for the off topic question, but been wondering about that one bag.
I broke this:

Thanks Blink, it just seemed to me that they would be able to have witnesses to say if that Balloon was the same one at the nursing home when Cindy took Caylee there. Appreciate your site very much. Thank You.
Blink, refresh things– former transit cop? I’m forgetting or missed something.
One other point about pipes and plumbing and water, comes from Tracy McLaughlin’s deposition, where she was talking about the shovel, Casey, Cindy and George were there at the time in the house, IIRC, and Casey says about the shovel something like ‘well hellooo-oo!, I was cutting bamboo!’, then Tracy says Casey says (I should really say ‘Casey says’ something about for the pool ladder too. And Tracy says George tells Casey to leave that alone. Hmm…
Pools have plumbing too but not being a pool owner, I don’t know how this might affect flooding, if at all at a home that’s on filled swampland in Orlando.
An investigator for the defense is a former NYC transit cop.
The pool issues for an above ground pool would not be relative or need a plumber.

where is our spark plug momof3
love to read her insights what would we do without her!! she is our smark link to deciphering everything! besides blink that is!! mom is a precious contributer!!
I meant she is our smart link!!
great article dearest blink!! not only are you a great journalist but your kind!! love blinks no clicks here everyone is great and friendly!!! if you have an question they go out of their way to help you!!
blinks rocks
hope the judge gives his ruling today!!!
Law & Order played a scenario this week, where a child abductor took a young white girl, about 8 or 9 years old, a piece of evidence of the girl’s was found somewhere that included hair samples, the story line went ‘but no deathband was found by CSI’ so they knew the child was alive at that point.
If it’s on L & O, it must be true (used/accepted at least in NY case, as we know)–! My question is whether any of the channels allowed for the jury, which includes Bravo, will be airing this episode, or the Hillary Duff nanny/Casey related episodes, during the trial period?
JUSTICE
hello thank you for the link!! it’s great to go down memory lane to refresh our memories!! so much to store in our minds!! sometimes we feel overloaded!! momof3 has the same ability to just pull stuff out of her memory bank!!
thanks blink hope we soon hear something
Oh My I must be so dumb Blink…………I dont understand the thing with the Transit Cop except that George was a former cop….Can you please please give me hint please please please
Twenty people at the Anthony home during the time of the plumbing incident and the possibility that the bag of clothes was involved?
Maybe, based on the clip of the deposition in this article, the prosecution needs to depose some additional people.
There is no real way, at this time, to determine when Cindy and George first became aware of something bad happening to Kaylee. It will have to await the trial.
Speculating here:
Casey did flush some of Kaylee’s clothing down the toilet in the second bath. The sewage did work until something caught on a rough spot in the pipe and all the remaining items began to be jamed by the initial object. Casey observed the sewer line beginning to be slow and decided to dispose of the remaining items in the undeveloped swamp across from the grammer school.
When the bag of clothes was presented to Cindy, despite what she told the person, she did recognize one or more items inside the bag. Then when the plumbing finally backed up, the items removed to clear the line matched some of those in the bag of clothing. This could be the very reason for the amount of panic and frantic phone calls to find Casey.
Blink thanks for bringing that up – i just read those! i thought Amy’s comment was very interesting, 20 people? can that be true? or at least several? casey’s story, i know, but maybe some truth? could it be a few people/buddies from church? what the h*ll happened at that house? i’m sure(hopeful) LE checked with plumbing co., and church friends etc., do we know what time court is tomorrow? it is isn’t it or else i’m losing my mind!!
Oh Blink- You are the best! I just finished reading Amys transcripts and took notice of the whole part that caught your attention as well. I was coming here to pat you on the back and to say…WOW! Blink does it again. Cindy may have never mentioned it…but Casey sure as heck did!!!…And the problem was “Huge”
You are amazing Blink really you and your whole team. The things you must all know but keep bottled up because they need not be discussed yet, and can help with the case. it all just boggles my mind. I cant imagine how you must feel somedays, being aware of potential evidence or statements or theories ect- what a heavy burden to bear.
There is a wealth of information in Amy’s depo – I suggest everyone read it- you can almost see exactly where the defense is trying to go, and what dates and convos are important to their spin ect.
After reading this depo I came away feeling total respect for Amy.
Casey did tell the truth once IMO- it was when she said Amy was the most genuine person she ever met….
I really respect Amy- She seems like a really good person with a good head on her shoulders and a big heart. I hope she is able to put this all behind her eventually, and goes on to be a very happy successful woman. If anyone in this, deserves that, IMO it is she.
JB seemed to try to get Amy to admit she was mad at Casey or tried to make her feel bad about having helped Cindy find Casey and for pressing charges or helping police. Every question in every instance back fired on him- Amy came out sounding even more honest and forthright, and Casey came out sounding like a petulant, spoiled rotten, conniving liar, thief, daughter and friend.
Her statements regarding the car ride home were something. Amys disbelief regarding Casey’s demeanor and actions ect Leave you understanding that every thing she thought she knew about Casey was a lie. Especially that she was a good mother who cared so much for Caylee…(pp) car statements: Caylee is fine- I dont want to disturb her. She is in the best place. She’s happy. We need our space….
It was apparent that everything Amy did or said was done for the right reasons.

back to rereading Blinks latest for anything I might have missed…
ps- Kleat wasnt Cindy that urged Casey and Cindy to hush about the “hello” bambo root??
TY Kindly, I am really most proud y’all let me hang out with you.
This little girl changed my lifepath, and several other folks I have had the great fortune of meeting and working with.
B
oops Sorry Kleat, that should have read- Are you sure it was George who hushed Cindy and Casey’s bamboo/shovel talk?
Final voting at AMI for the all stars. Don’t forget to vote for Yuri. He is the first one in the new grouping.
Thank You ATG-
I just voted myself
B
Gotcha Blink— making note that it is rather interesting and telling that poor Amy received a threatening phonecall from New york telling her to drop the charges…
Chica- YOU are the spark plug- Like Blink always says we are the sum of our parts. I am honored to be a contributor of BOC – I give credit where credit is do- I learned everything I know from Blink and all of you…I just add my thoughts to the pot in the hopes of helping little Caylee.
Thanks for the kind words though.
Correction, NOT AMI it is AMW. Finger disconnect on original.
An elderly family member would always blame her ‘forgettery’ when she couldn’t recall things. Well having read Tony Lazzarro’s statement he has the worst ‘forgettery’ ever!!! For a young man his memory is abysmal! It seemed contrived for the most part but he appeared to be definitely trying to distance himself from Casey towards the end. Back to reading Amy’s depo but must put my vote in for Yuri first. Night all, nearly there
Blink!! Thanks so for the links back to your Keith William’s interviews.
I do so hope that at some point after the trial that you will be able to relate to us what the psychic told Keith about the manner of Caylee’s death …..as I think that psychic was certainly closer than anyone else – with the exception perhaps of Kiomarie Torres Cruz – who really was (I believe) the FIRST one to mention that “pet cemetery” area.
I still believe that some those dogs that Casey buried there probably met their demise earlier that the Good Lord had planned …thanks to Casey. I am told that a lot of killers actually start off with cruelty to animals …including killing them….
One question though …doesn’t HHJP still need to rule on 5 motions?
1) Wonderful Dr. Vass (I WANT HIM TO BE ABLE TO TESTOFY!!!!)
2) The hair-banding
3) The Cadaver dog alerts (Still don’t understand how that was allowed into a Frye hearing)
4) the bug informmation (Haskell v Huntington)
5) the botany/root/plant information
Did HHJP already rule on some of these, or were some of the above “bundled” into one motion??
I’m getting old, Blink ….so maybe I’m just confused.
Also – if Baez bad-mouths those dogs during the trial, I do so wish that one of them could go over and bite Baez in the butt. There would be CHEERING across America at that point!! (Sorry I had to get that out!)
Thanks, Blink for unconfusing me!!!
@ c10
Lies with a little truth mixed in. And there was the flurry of calls in the early morning hours of the plumbing incident from Cindy to Casey. So Casey was more than likely aware of the situaton. More so than she wanted to be I’d guess.
This case would not be the same without you, Blink. You’ve given us heads up on so many pieces of the puzzle. I love watching it through your eyes.
Am practically holding my breath waiting for JP’s rulings today and it’s almost 5:00 pm. Wonder if we’ll have to wait till after the holiday weekend.
one down, two to go I believe…
Thank You. She had me at “mama papa.”

I love that Amy, Jesse Grund, Troy Brown, and Ricardo Morales all sat down in Barnes & Noble with a calendar – and put together a timeline of all the LIES that KC had been telling all of them.
Each comparing the different versions of lies that KC told each of them and making notes of when little Caylee was with KC or not on specific dates.
Smart move on their part to get together like that while all fresh in their memory.
(met at Barnes & Noble one day during the week of July 15-23)
Amy mentions them all getting together at Barnes & Noble in her deposition. (page 47-48)
But … if you scroll all the way to the very end of her depo pages (after all the misc signature pages and the index pages) there are copies of the actual calendar pages they put together for the months of May, June, and July – with notations from all 4 of them about what KC told them on those dates/where KC was/whether Caylee was with her.
Very interesting to see it all laid out like the group did.
Tried to link Amy’s Depo, but the link won’t work for some reason.
Trying again.

Okay I’ll bite..First I think the plumbing problem was a fairly large issue..because the A’s seem to be people handy at tackling most of their household repairs and maintenance themselves. A simple plumbing leak or clogged bathroom drain would not have required them to call in the outside plumbing troops…at the same time..I doubt it was 20 people there, another A’ family embellishment.
I’m thinking that it may have been a pair of grave wax smeared rubber gloves (like Playtex gloves), the missing ring that came off inside the grave wax smeared gloves, Mommas doll clothes that may have been used as cleaning clothes by Casey prior to the paper towels, and maybe even a hand towel or jacket of Caylee’s put to the same purpose.
Cindy always seemed interested in that dang ring and if Casey ever found it..and I wouldn’t put it past her to question her about it if she found it and act like she hadn’t found the silly.
And speaking of our friend the telephonee cop..I am wondering if he hasn’t tried planting the idea in the witnesses minds that were her friends that they will be responsible if she gets the DP due to their testimony. Tony’s depo put those thoughts in my head for some reason. He sounds like he wants no parts of accusing her of even being anything but a great girlfriend..when obviously he was used by Casey to keep a roof over her head while she figured out what her next move would be after Caylee’s murder. Somethings up there.

Court closed tomorrow – Good Friday.
Thanks Sammy, yes Good Friday – i had forgotten that
But JP said during last Friday’s hearing that he’d be working at the courthouse on Good Friday. Could we hear more tomorrow or will he make us wait till Monday (likely)? Oh well, it’s great to know this motion made it in to the trial. Such a super-intense image for the jury to see! Worth a thousand words.

reading amy’s deposition! I was so annoyed with baez insinuating that the state encouraged amy to file a police report on the stolen money! I get the impression that baez thought that caseys apology would erase everything casey did to amy!! he made it seem like she shouldnt of pressed charges!!! give me a break!! than he asks her if she dated jesse grund!! he in several instances tried to twist things !! it so reminded me of all of cindys enablings !! he tried his best to insinuate so much!!!
Gypsydd
great post! I never thought of it that way! her wearing latex gloves and loosing the tiffany ring!! so many lies from the anthonys!!
yeah tony lazarro claimed she was a good girlfriend and didnt even and still doesnt get that it was about a roof over her head a few free mattress romps!
of course she cooked cleaned and did laundry! she couldnt go back home and desperately needed a place to live!! caylee was dead and she needed to plan for the future! she may have had plans on getting pregnant to trap tony!! there is so much she could have done for herself to make a life for her and caylee!! a real job!! her own money!!!

that is what I tried to say in my post not sure how it came across but yeah! baez tried everything to get amy to admit to something she didnt say or feel!!
good for amy she held her ground! I truly respect how she handled baez.
The Stain Comes IN.
How befitting that this ruling be handed down the day before Good Friday.
Casey’s case has been compared by some, to the Crucifixion of Jesus. Not likely- but there is another Station of the Cross that might be compared in this instance….
Respectfully Snipped from
The Stations of The Cross
Station 6- Veronica wipes the face of Jesus.
She wipes the face of Jesus on his way to be Crucified and It is stained with the likeness of Jesus.
—
Caylee’s photos/videos, were sold again and again inorder to pay for her mothers defense- it seems only right that another likeness/impression could be used as evidence to prove Caseys guilt.
The impression/silhouette/stain/image that JB dismissed as “imaginary” and compared it to The Virgin Mary on toast, can now be presented to the jurors. Who knows, maybe Blink is right and the whole trunk liner will be brought into court for the jurors to see and smell, and they can decide what is laughable or easily dismissed and what is not.
AJMO
Hi Chica- yes I agree- Those questions JB asked, seemed so petty and childish…I realize he was just trying to lessen the impact of Amy’s testimony by getting her to admit that she may have/had a grudge against Casey and wanted revenge or something…but to me it came off as questions Casey asked JB flat out to ask her…like a kid using a go between to ask questions..
Go Ask her if shes mad at me…
Did she say shes mad at me?
Go Ask her if she knows I said I was sorry..
Did she say she got my apology? If she did why did she turn me in?
She must just want to hurt me… cuz shes jealous and cuz I borrowed her money…She only thinks that cuz my stupid mom told her lies about me…
Childish.
AJMO
PS Gypsy- Hello. Wow you should “bite” more often… very interesting and plausible speculations…
O/T :My dear friend Gypsy should be writing a memoir. I hope she does.

Hi Im new here but I am wondering on what date did Casey borrow the shovel, what date were the plumbers called, and when did George put down the new pavers. In other words could Casey have dug and hit a pipe in the back yard caused a leak( near caleys play area) and George covered the hole with new pavers and this is why Cindy went looking for Casey?
Welcome florence-
B
Where are Caylee’s clothes , the ones worn the day Cindy had Caylee, June 15th…Guess LE overlooked that too~…like many other things in this case!
I think I just saw you in court with that “hair of unknown origin” pony and bump it.
I covered this, and btw, you can tell your leader that they should not be so sure they have not been accounted for.
Been a busy week I hear.
B
There were some things that stood out for me after reading the 2 depositons of Tony and Amy.
1. both of them are educated
2. both of them were present with their attorneys for the deposition
with Baez and Mason.
3. Tony said alot of things he does not remember
yet Baez is asking did this happen on this date — ( What?)
4. Both said Casey appeared to be a good mother when they saw
her with Caylee.
5. Amy said that during that 30 days Caylee was partying alot!
(Bella Vita) happy life without Caylee!)
Amy said when she got back from Puerto Rico Casey was excited saying Caylee learned how to use a phone she called me.
(come on Amy a 2 year old learns to use a phone?? )
(I have to mention that Mason described Casey as a young lady.)
As far as Mason-he and Casey are all over each other in court!
It used to be just Baez but now it’s both attorneys! It is disgusting!
Blink have you heard anything about the incident with Casey and
the finger flirting that was on utube, Casey giving the finger, and
Baez sticking his tongue out. Also on that same day Bill Shaffer
witnessed Mason make some kind of sick arm gesture to Ashton.
the finger flirting took place in court during a recess.
I understand the defense it doing things because Judge Perry is
missing one eye-Blink have you heard that?
Blink why do you think George Anthony is not coming to court?
ever since Baez said to him on the witness stand if I asked you
not to come to court to save your daughter’s life would you?
He answered yes.
LMAOOOOO @ Bump it!!!!! You’re killing me Blink!

Hi Countryiscool. I agree with that!
Yes, we all know about the immature antics of the defense…flipping the bird, etc. It’s beyond a mature person’s comprehension.
chica, I hear ya! I was hoping we’d learn about the other motions too. I’m not discouraged, though. The stain evidence is a big un, imo. I was sooo hoping it would be online to view! I would LOVE to see the look on Casey’s face…or at the very least, the defense’s.
Mom3.0, I love your reference to Veronica wiping Jesus’ face. You done made me cry! It is a very special time of year and I hope a spiritual significance for our Caylee. As they say, the Lord works in mysterious ways.
God bless you my friends, especially during the Holy weekend.
wow Blink,
I heart you….
your statement about the person with the pony and hair bump.
not to be sure about those clothes not being accounted for? yikes?
I do believe that we have got some plumber depositions lining up?
I also have a question? If Casey signed that check to the plumber how can that be if she was not home or was she at the house and her parents gone. I am just not gettin it.
she did not sign it.
B
I didn’t know about the time line that Amy and the guys put together.
Good for them. This is exactly how good people work to help LE when you have information that is important. Even if their time line was not totally accurate, LE could take it and work from what they listed.

I loved your response to them!!
LE has conducted themselves with integrity and professionalism! which something we have never seen from the defense.
justice for caylee is not justice for casey as cindy states!!
justice for caylee belongs only to caylee!!
its not a me me me casey thing anymore its all about caylee!!
Blink – loved your response to Got the wrong Anthony!! Would love to be a fly on the wall in the defense Casey camp!
Does Casey get to watch all news stations whilst in Jail? Could she be considering trying for a plea when she is wide awake in the middle the the night, sweating with fear. Or is she so convinced that she is the victim that there is no fear.
She has a radio and a law drawer, access to some tv but limited as she is segregated custody.

Not to sound like Cindy but – since KC does pepper nuggets of truth in her lies, if Amy is remembering accurately, maybe we should think about the implications of a reference to “air-conditioning” from this depo (one of KC’s excuses about postponing the move to the house… the quote included air conditioning, as well as a pipe thing, 20 people…)
Also agree w. Mom3 above -”Justice is justice” from Amy – quote of the MONTH – funny she has to remind the lawyer about that.

I agree ATG – reading that yesterday restored some hope for me that there are good people in that circle of people that are concerned about justice for Caylee – not the baby killers rights.
Amy’s was fantastic during her depo with Baez, and it sounds like she has retained a great attorney.
LOVED how she mentioned to Baez more than a few times … “well, it’s hard to remember exactly b/c it’s been so many years now. If I’d been asked this back then I’d have a better memory of what your asking.” (paraphrasing)
Stupid man waits until years later to finally get to the depo of this important witness. Never even did a depo with Amy back during the check fraud case time period.
The man has beans for brains.
I now have this great visual in my brain of Amy and the 3 guys all sitting on the little chairs at the kiddies table in the childrens section of Barnes & Noble. (b/c the cafe area was too noisy)
Brilliant that they thought to re-constructed the timeline and made a calendar of all the lies told by KC to each of them and noting whether Caylee was with her or not.
Lots of interesting little details that the all contributed to in what is marked “Exhibit #1″ at the back of Amy’s depo.
I can only imagine the shock the had as they sat there and put it all together – and saw all the lies and contradictions right in front of them on paper.
