Caylee/Casey Anthony Trial: Casey Pal Rosalie Martinez Bolin- Mitigation Coordinator And Abominable Parenting Sympathizer

Pinellas County, FL– Throughout the first week of jury selection, we got our first glimpse of Casey Anthony’s new mitigation specialist and BFF, Rosalie Bolin.  She is the wife of convicted killer and rapist Oscar Bolin, currently awaiting execution on death row.

I could not think of a better way to sum up Ms. Bolin’s background, than to let her own daughter tell you. Katherine Martinez, one of four of Rosalie’s daughters she relinquished custody of to marry Oscar Bolin, made a documentary about it, while attending FSU.

Oscar Bolin, in eight seperate trials, has been convicted of the rapes and vicious murders of Natalie Holley, Lyn Matthews, and Stephanie Collins.

While Ms. Bolin through tears, tells her adult daughter that she “started something and you have to finish what you started”, it appears that concept did not apply to her parenting of 4 small children because she thought “they had people around that love them.”

That’s not all.  Rosalie Bolin is the owner of Criminal Specialist Investigations, Inc, and is currently suing the State of Florida to get paid in a case where the judge called her work as a mitigation coordinator “overpaid”.  She recently won an appeal to quash that order, and is seeking funding from the JAC.

That would be the same JAC distributing the state’s funds for the defense of Casey Anthony.

Defending the State’s position on the issue, is none other than Terence M. Lenamon, former counsel to Casey Marie Anthony.

The irony is rich, once again.

Her daughter seems like an amazingly mature, intelligent, and compassionate woman. What a tragic situation, but I am always impressed with how resilient people can be. I wish our dear Caylee had at least been allowed a similar chance at survival.

  4. myers says:

You have got to be kidding me. Casey has found her true new best friend for life. This women may even marry casey after they killed the trash she is married to now. Leave your four daughters to marry a convicted killer. She says she was not in the right place when she did this, so is she now in the right place, no, she is sitting along side another killer. Well maybe that is the right place.

I love the fact that Casey has to sit there and listen to these people tell their story. I bet these stories are making her realize how good her life could have been with Caylee in it. Her sitting in that courtroom is eating her to the bone. She will be gray by the end of this trial. Turning that clock back is to late. She did what she did and it is now to late to have a happy life like all these jurors that she will have to listen to. I think she was the one to come up with the idea of asking jurors if they like mystery books etc. You see she likes those books and she knows what she has done. She equates them liking those types of books to being a person like she is, which of coarse we all know better. That is how she thinks

After watching this I think I could just cry. These poor beautiful girls will Never understand why their Mom did this……even if they choose to be a part of her life…..this will haunt them always. I truly hope they don’t expose themselves to Casey Anthony’s trial and have to watch their mother comfort this stranger. I really just don’t know what to say Blink- I am more upset that she did this to her children than I am that she’s a part of Casey’s defense.
I would also like to say Blink (because you have been under attack in other areas) I am thankful that I can come to your sight and read these facts knowing that you have taken care in your efforts to report what you feel is crucial to our understanding in each case. We all have a choice to either take anyones word for it- or find out for ourselves, but I guess it is just easier to throw punches at you. I absolutely respect how you handle all that is thrown at you. Keep on Keeping on Blink-

  6. ktina says:

Amazing. What a pair. What must go on in a person’s mind to think it is ok to abandon your children for a man who has raped and murdered someone else’s…..there are no words.

  7. Mom3.0 says:

What is it that she keeps insinuating her ex-husband did? Was he abusive, overbearing? What? And if she felt so strongly about her ex-husbands behaviors and her need to flee, did she leave her daughters to be raised by him? And if so how could she do that?

    That makes no sense.

    All (pp)
In the video she says that she married him mostly to spite her ex husband..and to underscore the fact that she believed in his innocence- she told herself that the media and the courts would focus on how much she believed in his innocence, see look, I married him…

But then she says I was wrong- they didnt focus on his innocence they focused on our love…

But then she tells her daughter, hey I could have left a 1000 times it would have been easy…but I am determined to stand behind him, and in my belief that he is innocent…if the state puts him to death they’ll know one person (her) remained stead-fast to the cause.

    That makes no sense

Bolin apologized to the daughter, and actually appeared to take her feelings into account (of course after the fact) Her mother seems unable, and unwilling to, then and even now. She comes off as a very simple minded- self centered- selfish woman.

She shows a lack of maturity, and impulse control. Frankly her behavior in court gives me the heeby jeebys…the way she fawns over Casey and gets into her personal space- she seems to lack boundaries and they seem to be two peas in a pod. Both she and Casey seemed to be quite eager and willing to choose a man and a different life over the well being and care of their own children- Selfish- and spiteful One murdered and disposed of her daughter inorder to gain freedom and spite her perceived oppressors- the other- abandoned and destroyed hers inorder to be “free” and to spite their father.. WOW-

Why is this woman sitting with the defense, yet the other young female attorney is sitting in the gallery?

What happened to Jeanne Bartlette(sp) the other specialist? If this is the mitigation specialist brought in by Anne F. then I seriously have to doubt her professionalism- like Casey needs any more bad publicity and media w__res around her-

Casey the accused, the mother, the suspected murderer, seems to have no qualms about anyone & everyone making a quick buck off of her daughter Caylee, that is of course if they kiss her butt before hand and give credit where credit is due…

Thanks for covering this Blink- to think the tax payers of Florida are paying for this junk- Unbelievable.

  8. Dellastreet says:

Rosalie Bolin is made of the same cloth as Casey Anthony. She speaks of starting something and having to finish it. Well….she had these beautiful children….they did not ask to be born. Why did she not finish that? No, she left them to do what SHE wanted to do, crazy as it was. Left them motherless and robbed them of a mother’s love and care….failed to protect them which was her God given responsibility. No responsibility there, no love there for sure and only her desires and wishes were considered. What a low life. Her and Casey are meant for each other. Her children suffered for her choices and will be marked forever by her selfishness. What a sad and sickening situation. She will have to pay for her choices one day. Her children have better sense than she ever had or now has. They have my sympathy. All those children sacrificed for one low life. Rosalie needs psychiatric evaluation…..should have had that before she left her kids. Her husband is another matter indeed. This whole case is getting out of control in my opinion.

So Now I know who Rosalie is,um I’m at a loss to describe how I feel I dont think she needs a psychiatric evaluation shes looney, why does she say I thought it would help his case thats why I did it,to give up your 4 girls, cuz that was yur mind set at the time? Now her mind is set behind Miss Anthony.I hope she eats herself to death by june..I sorry Im just so feed up .The world is watching you Florida.I could just bitch slap Marble mouth Mason right about now.And Jose and his questions on and on , I swear I thought yesterday he was going to say “Yes but what do you think of my suit,is it a blue suit what if i told you it was green…..GIVE ME A BREAK!

  13. Sandy Banks says:

Whoever would admit to a ‘knee-jerk’ reaction as to why they ended up a divorcee because they refused to support their husband in his work? Who would marry a multiple-time convicted murderer and rapist in order to ‘get even’ with that husband who is, apparently, a criminal trial lawyer? Madness. Self-absorbed. Inability to communicate.

She says that her husband – at the time – said, “The media is too interested in you…” and she should have known that this was a warning shot over the bow which – as a mediation specialist – needed to have intense conversation for resolution. Instead she stuck in her heels, went to court and forced his hand.

Watching this video is painful on so many levels. Ms. Bolin has gained a huge amount of weight which I think is her body’s way of saying something is very wrong. Mr. Bolin clearly knows right from wrong when he says “We rang the bell and we can’t unring it.” And not surprising, when Mr. Bolin says what he does … he is a man who NEVER – apparently from the convictions – thinks about the collateral damage of his actions.

His glib words of apology come too easily, in my opinion. I call it the Big Con.

Perhaps Mr. Bolin’s trials were faulty in some way…. well, maybe one… but three, eight? And what evidence has ‘his wife’ uncovered to validate her claim of his innocence? And clearly from this video her intent was NOT to really bring about the facts of his innocence but to cause a Big Deal to make them (Who is the Them anyhow?) see the trials differently. She obviously does not understand the justice system at all.

If her relationship with her former husband was so untenable, all she had to do was get a divorce and start a new life. Lots of women do this. If she felt he was a danger to her (or anyone), how could she have – as one writer noted – left the children with him?

In my opinion, this woman is trying to put a ‘spin’ on her choices to make herself feel and look better. The position of her head when she is talking shows she thinks she is superior – even to her daughter. I also think that both the Bolins know it was a mistake. She says, “I stay with him because it would be easy for me to walk away…” and why even discuss walking away? I think the answer is because she feels she needs to be punished as well, for what she has done to her children… walking away from them.

Now Ms. Bolin is in the Anthony camp and NOTHING could be worse for public opinion for Casey (already so seriously damaged, not including the facts of who she is) and while the jury cannot read, watch or hear anything at this time, and I only hope somehow the energy of this wierd situation will come across when they are seated…

  14. Sammy says:

So glad you wrote this piece about Rosalie Bolin.
Her name and exploits are well known around these parts (Pinellas/Hillsborough/Pasco Counties).
Oscar Ray Bolin terrorized this area back in the 80′s, and put the families of his many victims thru hell on earth thru his decades long appeals.
I couldn’t believe it when I heard the other day that she was the newest addition to the Defense Team.
Though after letting this little nugget stew in my mind for a couple days, hiring RB is exactly in line with all the other barely ethical and slimy choices this Defense team has made and continues to make.

Oh yeah, she fits right in with this crew.
I imagine KC loves her too.
KC’s thinking … finally someone who understands her sick killer psyche and forgives whatever KC did.
    KC’s got a new BFF.

Word has it that Rosalie Bolin has book coming out soon.
I don’t doubt that RB is seeing $$ signs and is already planning her next book about KC’s case.
Is there any member of the Defense Team that isn’t in this for the money to be made off the murder of a precious + innocent Caylee?

Rosalie Bolin’s bogus claim that she married the POS Bolin in part to “get back” at her husband is b/c her husband had the audacity to remind his wife (at the time) that she had family responsibilities as a wife and mother of 4 small children – and he tried to get her to stop the maddness of hooking up personally with a serial killer.
I guess she showed him. (vomit)
She refused to stop working with Bolin, and eventually got canned from the Hillsborough County job for improprieties such as accusations of having sex with him in his cell.
Went on to marry the killer.

Duval County made a mistake and hired RB in 2010 to work in their Public Defenders Office. She was fired from that job within a few weeks when Duval County officials figured out who she was.
So who’s left that would hire the likes of Rosalie Bolin?
Not any govt agencies … just slimy defense teams such as Baez and Mason.
Oh yeah … Rosalie Bolin fits right in with this crew.

    As a side note …
Rosalie comes from a prominent Tampa family.
Her ex husband a respected attorney.
Her ex father-in-law was the Mayor of Tampa (1979-1986), and went on to become the Governor of the State of Florida (1987-1991)

I would have loved to have seen the faces and heard the comments made by Judge Perry, Ms Drane-Burdick and Mr Ashton when they got the news that RB had joined the Defense Team.
They all are well aware of who this woman is and what her game is.

  15. Gigi says:

“Rosalie Bolin is the owner of Criminal Specialist Investigations, Inc.” per B.

Sorry, got to much time on my hands today..love retirement…ok re the sentence above from the article….is RB a counselor, therapist, criminologist, life coach, whatever one would think would be a needed skill set for what she is being paid to do..or just feels able to be an advocate to people like CA. based on the life experience she has had and her relationship with Mr. Bolin? Also, and you may not want to answer this here or it may be inappropriate, but has CA ever in her jail time been on a suicide watch?

  16. Sammy says:

Seems this DT works in reverse sensibility.
You want the potential jurors to “like you” and respect you – so that they can relate to you and be interested in the case you would eventually present to them.
This whole defense team come off as slimy schiesters. MOO
They give off the vibe that they are not to be trusted.

    Baez and his …
“May I call you Miss 1312?”, “and now Miss 1312, let me ask you this.”, and the dreaded “who are you?” line of voir dire questioning are just so wrong.
    Just makes my skin crawl.

He behaves and comes off as a slimy lounge lizard at the Holiday Inn bar looking for a hook-up.
I’m waiting for him to next ask the potential jurors – “What’s your sign?”

  17. Sue says:

Sandy Banks – Your comments are right on. You said it better than I ever could. I am so putrefyingly disgusted at the ‘dark, soulless, entities’ that keep piling on to this case. These poor jurors will be sucked into this black hole too. I only hope that there will be light at the end of this long, dark tunnel (the trial) and sound justice will prevail. Then we can all feel the sun on our faces again and Caylee can finally rest in peace.

  18. Just is says:

Well since Casey has decided to turn her back on her family, who have gone to great disgusting lengths to claim her innocence, maybe Mrs Bolin can adopt her and have a death row family reunion!

Mason is complaining that he can’t work late tonight, and also complaining b/c he thought they would only work a half day tomorrow.
    wah-wah-wah.
Yo Mason – your clown crew of a defense team has delayed this trial long enough.
Judge Perry expects to, and WILL get a jury seated and get this trial started as promised.
Justice for Caylee is slightly more important than your dinner engagement for crab cakes tonight you old fool.

    In other news …
being reported that the A’s attorney may sue Brad Conway.
They need to be looking at the ONE person who is the cause of this whole tragedy – their spawn ICA.

  22. Sheila says:

Holy crap. That was like watching my own mother justify staying w/ the man that raped & abused her daughters, (& raped at least one girl prior to her relationship w/ him) & excusing her role in it, (God wouldn’t want her to leave him…really? Huh…I’m not thinking that God is ok w/ rape, abuse, stealing & the whole slew of “things” she & her husband have participated in). Reassures me that cutting ties w/ my mother was the best decision ever.

I have never understood how a woman ,that supposedly has an education, could fall into the trap of evil that a serial killer could weave. She is not the first nor will she be the last.

This woman is looking for some money and some publicity for her new book.

At least she did not harm her children in a physical way. I pray that her children have the internal strength and external support from their father and other family members to overcome what their mother has done.

Another great addition to the Defense Team.

  24. Gigi says:

    @ Sammy,

The Miss so and so Mrs. so and so….him smiling like a Bozo on the top of a helium balloon tank…made me sick…it was so fake. Why is it that the State team seems so much more professional than the defense team? I do not know any of them but just from watching the proceedings. Judge Perry is ready to get this going for sure. Did you hear him at the end of the day when they were talking and he said, “Mr. Baez, you do not have to say what you already said because you said it.” (paraphrased) I find my self sitting listening to it and answering the questions and getting frustrated with all the I think I can, I don’t know if I can….People, please, I can or I can’t…yes, your Honor, or no, your honor.

Okay, I’m done, going to get in trouble with Blink coming into all her bathrooms today…ha..jk, Blink, per your funny to the troll.

Ragdoll, where are you…you are good at calming me down when I get on a soapbox. Ha, you all have a nice weekend…funeral and other family obligations here.

  25. Mom3.0 says:

Im not sure exactly what her job is?…can anyone clue me in…and is it pertinent that she be there during the jury selection? This is the first time I have ever been privy to this process so I am not sure…

Just to clarify my above post – I reread it and I think I may have let my emotions take over, everything I have read/or seen about this woman is just what Blink and you all have said THM too…maybe somewhere if I did further research I may feel differently…maybe she is good at her job, IDK and I am feeling kinda bad about judging her “love”- and her decisions- maybe she like 1000′s of other men and women…just wasnt thinking clearly at the time…I dont know-

But I still dont like the interactions with Casey…although I think they are alot alike(based solely on my opinion only) she has never been accused of murder and therefore it was wrong of me to compare her to Casey in that regard-JMO

Lots of fathers and mothers choose to leave their marriage and their children behind, sometimes for pertinent reasons, I would assume, so it was wrong to judge this particular woman so harshly even though she fell in love with a man on deathrow, and chose to leave her husband and children… JMO

I do believe each accused person deserves the right to a fair trial and is presumed innocent … until guilt is proven beyond a reasonable doubt-even Casey… I realize now, from watching this process from everything it is needed. I have based my opinions on this case according to all the evidence I have seen and read ect- I know my feeling about her guilt or innocence- & I know I would never be chosen to sit on her jury- I would not be able to disregard my feelings IRT this case and I have to ask myself if I gave Ms Bolin the same chance… am I weighing my opinions on a great amount of evidence and research ect ? Right now, I’d have to say no- so I’ll refrain from further comment until such time- if ever-

Thanks for letting me get this off my mind Blink- and just want to state I am not saying anyone is wrong or bad for voicing their own opinions ect- Im just saying I dont know enough to give mine-

Do we all remember the first visit to the OC jail when KC’s parents arrived and the first words out of KC’s mouth was, “Don’t worry, I didn’t say anything”.

Now the Ants are having their attorney sue Brad Conway for blabbing about privileged client/atty confidentiality and saying that it was Cindy’s brother that molested KC. IF this doesn’t kill the elder Anthony’s, I don’t know what will. This is a Sin. All of this ugliness is beginning to be too much for me. I was at the hinky and the site shut down, or ??? Anyone else been there today and had this experience ? I’m beginning to think that this nightmare is too embarrassing even for the “upstandng”, descent websites.

I’ll try to bring some links, but was forced to abandon desktop pc for laptop.

I actually thought Sims and Bolin were sparring for the seat next to KC at def table, maybe Bolin is taking notes on her Ipad and going to start penning KC’s book forI her. It appeared that KC was giving a story to her in the courtroom.

Beginning to think FLA state has some really bad water or something. These are some sick chitty people. They make Snooki look highbrow. Blink~ always a big thank you for the article. The addition of this woman to the team is disgusting. I don’t care what her frame of mind was at the time because her tireless support of a convicted rapist and sadistic killer explains her mindset better than words can.
What would be the motivation for Baez to seek to employ her? He was well represented with attys and mitigation specialists already. I never trust him and this is no different, she brings no positive spin to his team so why bring her to the table?

Mom03~ when I first logged on, I thought your first comment was so all inclusive and spot on that I could think of nothing to add. My heart just breaks for those girls.

    Totally.
This girl “got her answers” on her own, and you saw the result.

A man can not be rich enough, handsom enough and intelligent enough for me to leave my children for him or for anything or anyone! Buh miss Bolin…

  44. Wyks says:

Speaking from experience of one whose mother left sibs and I with our father, and took off with another man…. The kind of pain that comes from that is neverending, even with years and years of therapy.

For those who think that it’s a good thing that she didn’t abuse them physically, let me say that very often emotional/verbal abuse is much harder to take and recover from, than physical abuse. Not saying that physical abuse is a picnic tho.

Very often, a young child whose mother has walked away from them, will have ‘abandonment issues’ as their core problem, which adversely affects them for the rest of their entire life.

It’s been 55 years since my mother walked away. And I will never forgive her. My anger became worse when I had my own children and realized the feelings a mom has for her babies. I will never be able to fully understand how a mom can walk out on those babies, no matter what the circumstances are/were. Nothing in life, NOTHING!!, is a good enough reason for a woman to do such a thing. If the situation is so bad that the woman cannot stay, then her children OUGHT to be her first consideration in how to get them safely away, then herself.

Doesn’t matter if the mother says she is sorry. Well, in a sense she IS sorry… a sorry piece of crap.

This woman on Casey’s defense team disgusts me. Totally selfish. Seems to me it’s only for the grace of God that her daughters have grown into what they are today. It’s definitely no thanks to their mom, and am hoping she is NOT taking a bit of credit for the one daughter turning out so seemingly well-adjusted.

Casey’s duhfense team is (again) doing her a huge dis-service by choosing and allowing this woman to be anywhere near Casey. Not that I care a hoot for Casey! But good golly, they picked one just as bad (in different ways) as Casey, to be her BFF. Nothing good is gonna come from that. And as others have said, it is just another example of how low the duhfense is willing to go. Just when I think they couldn’t possibly get any lower…..

I am sorry Wyks, I cannot make it better, but I can tell you that your speaking out is brave, and I commend you.

  45. Löni says:

And honestly the defense is doing little to nothing taking such people on board to come over serious or professional. Rather than when then take someone who is considered. One who’s word has it’s weight and not someone like her sorry.

  46. Randie says:

Did anyone is the how the femail lawyer (AF?) pushed Bolin out of her seat today. Bolin just shook her head and walked to her seat. Casey was angry also.

Not the first time, and yes.

  47. Löni says:

Apparently Mr lipmann (C&G)may file a lawsuit against Mr Conway??? Be carefull Mr. L.who knows what you will have done when it comes to you in a few years and you are sued by them.

  48. Löni says:

Like Chica said: what a crew:(((

  49. Löni says:

Chica sorry i didn’t tell it right. You said: Rosalie Bolin fits right in with this crew.
    You are so right!

  50. claudia says:

    Blink,

Between yesterday and today I am just sick of this case.

When did Casey become the VICTIM? Help me understand this.
